No Human from earth will be allowed to come to heaven during the 7 vials of wrath, but a book of remembrance shall allow a remnant of Jews to come through 7 vials into his millennium.  Among this remnant will be some Jews who believed during the vials and are resurrected at the end of the 7 vials.

In October 2003, I presented the seventh trumpet pre-wrath position at the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Midwest City, Oklahoma, over a period that lasted from 8 A.M. to 10:30 P.M., with a break for lunch and dinner, and several short breaks for water and circulation relief. I am very grateful to one of the fine pastors there for a question he asked concerning the seven seals. He asked me where I placed them. I had not discussed them, and he wanted to be able to envision where I put them. I am grateful he asked me, because it suddenly made me very aware of something I knew, but had not really thought about for years. I covered the seals in my second book, “The Tribulation Triad,” when I wrote it in the late seventies, but during the 35 years I lectured in more than 700 churches, seminaries, colleges, and universities. I have not, to the best of my recollection, formally presented in my lectures as to “where” the first 4 seals fit in the tribulation period. I have discussed what they represent at great length, but simply did not position them as to where they belong in the tribulation period, but I did teach it at Dardanelle MBC. There is a very good reason as to why I didn’t place them specifically in the tribulation period – I did not expect most people would believe it, but I did put it in my books, and did lecture on it at my home Church. If anyone, anywhere, asked me what I believed about the first 6 Seals, I told them. So here is why I did not make it a part of my lecture – I did not believe the first five seals were during the tribulation period, and that the first four describe the events Jesus referred to as “the beginning of sorrows” in Matthew 24:7,8, Mark 13:8, and Luke 21:10,11.

Matthew 24:7,8 – For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Mark 13:8 – For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

Luke 21:10,11 – Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: [11] And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

I certainly do not believe we are now in the tribulation period, because I have long taught the first seal opened following the end of the First World War on this planet, and that the others began to open in chronological order when World War II began. I should have presented this series at the time we started this web site several years ago, but better late than never. It is diagrammatically pictured on page 154 of “The Tribulation Period.” Even though I did not believe the first part of the tribulation period was going to last three and one-half years because I believed the three “he’s” in Daniel 9:27 are Messiah the Prince, and not the antichrist, knowing the vast majority of the prophetic teachers of today believe it is the antichrist, I showed the first three and one-half years on my diagram, and jammed all of it as occurring during the fifth seal. I believe when seal six opens it starts the last three and one half years of the tribulation. I do believe there will be a brief period of false peace just before the opening of the sixth seal, during the time of the fifth seal, but it will be of much, much shorter duration that most believe today. I have always taught that the sixth seal is a preview of all the horrifying events that will occur from the seventh seal through the seven trumpets and seven vials. At the time I wrote “The Tribulation Triad” I placed the time of Satan’s casting out of heaven (Revelation 12:7-12) in what most identify as the first three and one half years of a seven-year tribulation period. I have since changed my mind. Do I still change my mind about prophecy? I do not change my mind about the doctrines of salvation, the ordinances of the church, or that Jesus is coming, but I do indeed continue to change my mind about the many things in prophecy. If you are not prepared to do that, you will never learn anything. The only one who could lecture about prophecy, and never have to correct what he taught, is the Great Three-In-One. I feel sorry for all those who think they got it right the first time, and still teach exactly the same things they taught when they first taught prophecy fifty years ago. I have changed what I once believed about some things, and hopefully, if I don’t grow to think I am God, and understand it as well as He does, I will continue to change. God got it right the first time, the rest of us will have to keep changing our minds if we want to be more accurate in our interpretation of what God already knows.

I will begin this series with the first seal and, if the Lord is willing, will go through the seals, and then identify how I believe the seals, trumpets, and vials are laced into a pattern from the seventh seal through the last vial. Again, I am grateful I was asked where the seals fit in the tribulation period, because it made me realize that what I have long believed about it had become such so engrained in me that I proceeded like the hearer already knew where I placed them, which was a real goof on my part. I knew that the vast majority of writers place the seals in what is known as the tribulation period. Knowing this, I should have explained the seal positioning at some point before he asked the question, and it suddenly made me realize that I should have put this on our web pages when we first began. So I will be putting it out on updates for some time, giving the seals in chronological order. The riders on the first four seals do not picture specific individuals – they do not represent men, but rather all of mankind. They represent four phases through which mankind was to pass preceding the tribulation period. I do not believe the tribulation period has seven full years, because Jesus fulfilled more than three years of it after his baptism. The horse colors portray the characteristics of four phases in chronological order: white for peaceful conquests, red for the blood shed in wars, black for the dark eyes associated with famine, and pale for the color of death associated with pestilence or a corpse.

Revelation 6:1,2 – And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. [2] And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. The first great world war to engulf the known world that existed when John wrote the book of Revelation in about 96 A.D. during the great Roman Empire, which was the fourth beast of Chapter Seven in Daniel, out of which a final revived empire of antichrist was to arise in the latter days, was what we called World War I.

Out of World War I came the Balfour Declaration, which did finally lead to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948. The Balfour Declaration was a British statement of policy issued in 1917 by Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour. It stated British support for a Jewish national home in Palestine without prejudice to the rights of the non-Jewish population.

The white horse rider represents the state of mankind that existed between the two great world wars that occurred between two German tyrants. The color of the horse, like a white dove, symbolizes the state of peace that existed between 1918 and 1932 across the territories recognized as the Roman Empire during its maximum extent. I believe most of the prophecies in the book of Revelation will be fulfilled across the known world of John’s day, not in the western hemisphere.

A long series of conquests by Hitler’s shaking of the bow, without firing any arrows, allowed the relative peace to continue until 1939. He was able to occupy several of the lands to his west, southwest, south, and southeast by a series of bluffs, without firing a shout. They succumbed to his threats, and he occupied large sections of nations around Germany. Threats, rather than arrows, secured him much land.

The Prime Minister of Great Britain, Arthur Neville Chamberlain, followed a policy appeasing Hitler, rather than confronting him. So, in 1938, he went to Germany and signed the Munich Pact, which allowed Hitler to occupy part of Czechoslovakia. It was a time of peace where those who “went forth conquering, and to conquer,” did so by bluff rather than by blood. He returned home with the cry “Peace in our times.” The first of the four horse riders has come and gone. He departed the scene when Hitler invaded Poland in 1939. That is when the red horse rider came on the scene. I will cover his activities in Part 2.

SPECIAL PROPHECY UPDATE NUMBER 166C

April 9, 2004

The current Mahdi Army of Shiite cleric Muqtada, that now classifies itself as operating for the glory of the new Iraqi Islamic Islamic Jihad, will be overcome by the American forces, but the Islamic dream of the Messianic Mahdi coming to deliver them in a massive, consolidated trend time Jihad, will not die, and will, in the end of this age, generate an Islamic Caliphate as the genuine Imam Mahdi himself.  And one of the end time major events, associated with the time span of the true Islamic Messiah’s rule, is called a mystery by both Paul and John in the New Testament.

Words That Are Laid Out To Describe an End Time Mystery!

I Corinthians 15:51,52 – Behold, I SHEW (LEGO) you a MYSTERY; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST (HESCHATOS) trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

SHEW – LEGO – This is the only place in the Bible that LEGO is translated as SHEW.  LEGO means “to lay out before.”  In this context it would mean “to lay out before the listener in words.”

LAST – HESCHATOS – In reference to time, it means the last thing that completes an action or event.  The use of the word, in this context, means that other trumpets had sounded before it, probably in a lengthy series, for if there had only been say one, two, or three, then saying the second or third would have been the normal pattern exhibited in scripture, such as the second or third woe in Revelation.

Paul was “laying out with words” the events of a MYSTERY that would be FULFILLED when the LAST TRUMP sounded.

More than 20 years after Paul’s death, John described the FINISH of the MYSTERY that Paul had previously LAID OUT WITH WORDS, which described some of the events associated with it.

Revelation 10:7 – But in the days of the VOICE of the SEVENTH angel, when he shall BEGIN to sound, the MYSTERY of God should be FINISHED, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

When the LAST TRUMP, in a series of seven trumpets, BEGINS to sound, the MYSTERY of God will be the action that COMPLETES the gathering of all the saved into a place we call heaven.  For the first time all the saved will be in heaven, gathered from the earth, both the dead and the living.

Revelation 11:15 – And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Christ will descend with the VOICE of the archangel, which I believe to be the highest angel in the seven trumpet series, whose sounding begins the final action Paul LAID OUT IN WORDS, and then John announced TIME OF COMPLETION when the SEVENTH TRUMPET SOUNDS.

I Thessalonians 4:16,17 – For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the VOICE of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The completion of the MYSTERY will place all of the saved of all the ages before the judgment seat of Christ in heaven, while the ones who morally corrupted the earth feel the wrath of the seven vials poured out on the earth.

Revelation 11:18 – And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which DESTROY the earth.

The very fact that the saved will not suffer the wrath of God’s seven vials is a very comforting thought.

I Thessalonians 4:18 – Wherefore comfort one another with these words

I Thessalonians 5:9 – For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Now consider the last phrase found in Revelation 11:18, “Them with DESTROY (DIAPHTHEIRO) the earth” – The Greek word translated “destroy” is “diaphtheiro,” which literally means “to make rotten to the core.” At one time I thought this meant they had, and were, in the process of physically destroying the earth because that is the common usage of the English word “destroy,” so I did not even bother to examine the Greek meaning for the word “diaphtheiro.”  Since doing so I have changed my mind.  I now believe it means they have been, and still are, “morally” corrupting the earth as lost men and women, and that God’s wrath will be poured on them as the consequence of rejecting his Son, while all of the saved are being judged in heaven.

DESTROY – DIAPHTHEIRO – to corrupt throughout, to bring to a worst state of depravity, to make rotten to the core.

The word can be used to mean a physical destruction of the earth or a moral destruction of the earth, so one does have a choice, and I have chosen to interpret a double use of the same word in Revelation 11:18 to be the physical destruction of those morally destroying the earth by the one who created the earth.  The same word is translated as “corrupt” in other Scriptures in the New Testament, inferring moral or spiritual adultery – One by Paul, inferring spiritual adultery for false teaching concerning the proper way to worship God, is found in I Timothy 6:5 – Perverse disputings of men of CORRUPT minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

The following Scriptures show when the saved are going to be caught out in proximity to Revelation events, but no one at the present time knows when the sounding of the seventh trump will occur.  When it does occur, all the saved will be taken up to heaven to be judged for the works done in their bodies for rewards, or the lack of them.  For the first time since God created man, all the believers of God’s kingdom will be in heaven in body, soul, and spirit, and all the lost will be in, and on, this present earth.

Revelation 11:15,18 – And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. [18] And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

“And the nations were angry” – But Armageddon is five chapters away – Revelation 16:16 – And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

“And thy wrath is come” – God’s wrath does not come until the saved have been caught out –  I Thessalonians 5:9 – For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

“And the time of the dead” – The saved dead experience resurrection and living saved are instantly changed – I Corinthians 15:51 – Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.

I Thessalonians 4:16,17 – For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

“That they should be judged” – The saved of all the ages are judged by the PROMISED SEED in heaven – Genesis 3:15 – And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her SEED; IT shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise HIS heel.

“And that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great” – The saved are judged by Christ for the works they performed in their bodies, whether they were wrought by and in Christ, or by the old fleshly nature – II Corinthians 5:10 – For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Galatians 6:7 – Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Revelation 22:12,14 – And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. [14] Blessed are they that DO his commandments, that they may HAVE RIGHT to the tree of life, and may ENTER IN through the gates into the city.

Revelation 21:7 – He that overcometh shall inherit ALL things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

The real question that a believer needs to consider, after becoming the child of God through faith in his Son Jesus, is simply this:  How much am I going to submit myself to the indwelling Spirit of Christ, to let him continue what he has started, once again overcoming the world, but this time he overcomes it in me.  The degree to which you allow him to again overcome in you determines two things:  (1) Whether you receive ALL of the reward he has waiting for you at his Son’s judgment seat, and (2) How close a relationship you will have with him in heaven, that is to say, where you abide in heaven in proximity to where he positions himself.  All the saved remain forever in heaven, and all will be happy in glorified bodies, but those who served him after salvation will be happier than all the many that did not.  Salvation is by grace through faith, and once it is received it is eternal, and does not need works to maintain it, but make no mistake, our salvation is a workmanship of the Spirit of God, and he created us for the purpose of being able to perform his works of his Spirit, and if we do not, we will be judged by Christ for not having done so.

Ephesians 2:8-10 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. [10] For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.

Ephesians 3:21 to 4:4 – Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen. [4] I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that YE WALK WORTHY of the vocation wherewith ye are called, [2] With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; [3] Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. [4] There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

Ephesians 2:22 – In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Revelation 3:4 – Thou hast a FEW names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall WALK WITH ME in white: for they ARE WORTHY.

The Sea of Azov, east and northeast of the Crimean Peninsula, is the shallowest sea on the earth. Please note the narrow water entrance between Kerch on the Crimeam side and what looks like a turtle head about ready to snap up Kerch across the narrow water channel.

Now note the narrow water entrance to the Black Sea seen at Istanbul between Turkey and the European Mainland.

The Cold War Soviet Union conducted well coordinated land-sea-air operations with rival friendly Soviet divisions on opposite sides of a water channel between Kerch and the Turtle Head.

They conducted this exercise to be able to quickly conquer the Istanbul channel if war broke out. Turkey was a trustworthy ally of NATO during the Cold War.

What Ukraine can learn from Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Historians still heatedly debate the origins of World War I, yet most agree that the unreserved support Britain, France and Russia gave to Serbia in the summer of 1914 helped drag the European continent into the bloodiest military conflagration it had ever known.

And today, on the very eve of the centennial of the start of World War I, events in Ukraine are taking an ominous turn. This somber unfolding of events is not only due to the recklessness of Russian President Vladimir Putin, but also the incompetence of Western leaders.

The issue that should determine Western diplomatic moves is not whether Putin is a despicable autocrat (he was one long before this crisis), but deciding which cardinal mistakes made a century ago should be avoided in modern times.

Unfortunately, evidence suggests that the West is still playing its cards as haphazardly as the allies did a hundred years ago. US Secretary of State Kerry’s warning of the tremendous price Russia will pay for its “aggression” will boomerang on two counts: Firstly, portraying Russian support for Russian ethnic minorities in Ukraine as an act of aggression helps Putin’s propaganda machine to market him as a brave Russian patriot. Secondly, and more gravely, the Western blanket critique of Russia will foster inflexibility in the Ukrainian leaders, and, on the basis of unconditional US support, allow them to overreact in a way that does not serve the interests of any of the parties involved. Indeed, if Western leaders do not want a rerun of 1914, they should pause for a more sober analysis of the Ukrainian reality.

Ever since its independence in 1991, Ukraine has been on the cusp of joiing the club of failed nations. Despite its vast agricultural potential and enviable natural resources, Ukraine’s contemporary history has been marred by straggling economic performance and political paralysis. The root of this sorry state of affairs is the demographic split between Ukrainians in the West who look to the European Union and the western world, and the ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine (and Crimea) who look to Mother Russia.

Demographic realities

This split in Ukraine is as deep, if not deeper, than the one between the Czechs and Slovaks who won their independence in the early 1990s. There is no reason why ethnic Russians should not be encouraged to follow suit, thereby transforming Ukraine from a scene of political paralysis and revolutions into a viable nation-state.

The solution that best serves the interests of all parties in the conflict – namely Ukraine, Russia and the West – is for the ethnic Russian population in Ukraine to be given a chance to vote for either the status quo, autonomy within an independent Ukraine, or annexation by Russia. In order to secure support for such a plan from Ukraine’s leadership, the West should promise them speedy admission to the European Union and NATO. This would have the advantage of uniting Ukrainians who want to be Ukrainians behind a common goal and to greatly reduce the number of advocates for Russian annexation.

Although it might appear immoral to reward Russian aggression with a referendum on self-determination for ethnic Russians, let us not ignore the fact that Russia’s latest foray could well be the great opportunity to cut the Gordian knot that has choked Ukraine since its independence.

In this context, the experience of Israelis, Palestinians and American negotiators in addressing the Israeli-Arab conflict is invaluable. There is a great lesson in the fact that demographic realities in the West Bank must be taken into account in determining the final borders of Israel and Palestine:

Borders are not sacred; only people and their right to self-determination are worth being viewed as such. The former is as true in east Jerusalem and the settlement blocs as it is in Kiev and Crimea.

Let us pray that Secretary of State John Kerry will apply the lessons he should have learnt in Jerusalem and Ramallah to stop the conflict between Ukraine and Russia from escalating into military conflict and catastrophe.
