Islamic Plucking of a Lebanese Chicken!

There seems to be little doubt that Syria and Lebanon, using Hizbollah and their own infiltrated intelligence units, are determined by hook or crook to pluck up

the Lebanese government leaders by their roots. The two articles, one from the Jerusalem Post, and the other from YNet News, indicate that by so-called peaceful or violent means they plan to eventually get the job done.

Daniel 7:24 – And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. (See Archive Prophecy Update Number 234A).

I have long taught Lebanon would be one of the 10 horns that rose from the south part of the Daniel 7 fourth beast, namely the ancient Roman Empire. The current frantic activity by Iran, Syria, and Lebanon based Hizbollah, is certainly an attempt to subdue its current leader (king) and his elected government. I do not know the Antichrist’s identity, but have always taught he was most likely to come out of Syria or Lebanon. Whoever he is, I believe he will be directly involved in the major Jihad attack that I guesstimate is likely to occur at some point in time between 2008 and 2012. It is my opinion, repeat, opinion that the three kings (rulers) which will be subdued are likely to come from among these four – Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, or Egypt. If I am correct in my guesstimate, the Antichrist will arise in the Middle East before 2012.

Iran and Syria are determined to build a power chain link around Israel from the capital city toes of Lebanon (clay) to Syria (iron) to Iraq (clay) to Iran (iron). These four toes will be more directly involved in the initial onslaught against Israel than any of the other six toes.

This 10 toed kingdom of kings will be replaced by the Kingdom of Christ after the final battle of Armageddon, which will occur three and one-half years after their initial attack against Israel.

Daniel 2:42-44 – And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. [43] And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

[44] And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. (See Archive Prophecy Update Number 233B)

It is somewhat ironic that the Islamic teachings on their version of the Dajjal (Antichrist), indicate he will arise from the area between ancient Damascus (Shaam) and Iraq, which is along the iron and clay link Iran and Syria are attempting to build. (See Wednesday Afternoon Blog).

Nasrallah: Government has proven Its Incompetence

The leader of Hizbullah, Hassan Nasrallah, said Thursday that Lebanon’s Western-backed government had failed and he called for peaceful protests to force it to resign.

Prime Minister Fuad Saniora’s government “has proven it is incompetent and has failed to fulfill its promises and achieve anything significant,” Nasrallah said in a televised address broadcast on Hizbullah’s television station, Al-Manar.

Hizbullah-led opposition groups have called for mass protests to begin Friday in downtown Beirut with the aim of bringing down the Western-backed government.

The call for peaceful street action came in a statement broadcast Thursday on the television stations of Hizbullah and other opposition groups.

It said the street action would begin on Friday at 15:00 in downtown Beirut, where the embattled government of Prime Minister Fuad Saniora has its offices.

The prime minister and members of his Cabinet have been bracing for mass demonstrations for days. The security forces have deployed troops and armored vehicles outside government offices, where the prime minister is holed up.

The call for protests came after weeks of political tension between pro-Syrian groups in the opposition, led by Hizbullah, and anti-Syrian factions supporting the government, which has wide Western backing.

The opposition “calls on all the Lebanese of all sects and parties … to gather peacefully and stage an open-ended sit-in to protest the absence of real political participation and to demand a national unity government, whose priority is to decide a new election law,” the statement said.

It called on supporters to carry only the Lebanese flag and to avoid carrying party banners or posters.

Although the statement said the protest would be peaceful, any attempt by demonstrators to take over government buildings could lead to violence.

It was not clear from the opposition statement whether the groups would attempt to take over government buildings.

Previously, groups that support Saniora’s government have vowed to call counter demonstrations.

The Lebanese security forces exposed a network which planned to assassinate 36 senior anti-Syrian Lebanese officials, the Lebanese newspaper al-Mustaqbal reported Wednesday morning.

The newspaper, which belongs to the family of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, who was assassinated last year, reported that the Lebanese security forces managed to arrest two of the network’s key members.

According to the report,

the investigation revealed that the network trained in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon and planned to execute a plot initiated by the Syrian government to assassinate 36 senior Lebanese officials.

According to the newspaper,

the Syrian intelligence appointed a group belonging to the Fatah-Intifada organization to implement the plan.

The organization split from the Fatah movement in the 1970s and is led by Colonel Abu Moussa.

According to the report, about four days ago two detainees admitted to having been sent from Damascus to the al-Badawi and El-Bureij refugee camps in order to coordinate the activity with the Fatah-Intifada movement.

Most blatant violation of UN resolutions

The detainees, a Syrian and a Saudi, noted that they were part of a 200-member network which planned to execute the plan. The two were arrested by Lebanese security forces after they were suspected of a criminally-motivated murder at the al-Badawi refugee camp.

According to the report, the investigation revealed that the Syrian government, through this plan, carried out the most blatant violation of United Nations Resolutions 1559 and 1701 and interfered in internal Lebanese issues.

The report does not mention who the names of the officials the network planned to assassinate.

In addition, it should be noted that Saad Hariri, Rafik Hariri’s son and head of the faction that constitutes the majority in the Lebanese parliament, recently harshly criticized President Bashar Assad and the Syrian regime and claimed that they were operating in an attempt to damage the political stability inside Lebanon and were even inciting an internal Lebanese war.

I am certainly hopeful that Israel will get the anti-anti tank protection mounted on its tank divisions before 2008, which they have set as their target date in the Yaakov Katz Jerusalem Post Article, which follows.

Their failure to keep their conventional mechanisms of war up to their enemy’s level of anti-tank weaponry cost them severely in the Hizbollah Conflict.

I have always admired Benjamin Netanyahu, who is a hawk of hawks, but I did not agree with his proposals to switch Israel’ s empha

sis from a conventional strategy to a nuclear one. I have always believed the last conflict will not be nuclear, but conventional.

So, because of this deep convection, which I believe is based on Scripture, I am always in favor of keeping the conventional mechanisms of war one step ahead of the enemies mechanisms developed to destroy them.

Israel did not do this before the last Hizbollah Conflict and, as a result, suffered casualties of both men and tanks. I warned about this in Archive Special Prophecy Update Number 135B in 2003, which precedes the Yaakov Katz article.

Bye! Bye! Conventional Merkava 4’s and 5’s

I was rather surprised by some armor decisions made recently by former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is now the Treasury Minister in Ariel Sharon’s Cabinet. He believes Israel faces two threats – The Palestinian terrorist groups, and the weapons of mass destruction that are being developed by Arab states in the Middle East, notably headed by Iran. Of course, both of these are real threats, but I do not agree with his statement that followed. He does not believe the threat of an invasion by Arab states against Israel on

the ground is a feasible reality and, because of this, favors the decommissioning of old war systems, like the Merkava tanks, at an accelerated rate. Netanyahu attributes great importance to the strategic view, which would provide answers to the Iranian nuclear threat and to other state’s weapons of mass destruction. He favors the continuation of the security fence to its completion, but desires to see the discontinuation of Merkava tank production. If Israel does follow this program, believing they are secure from an outside ground attack at the present, then once they finally get the Palestinians fenced in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, it will give them a sense of “peace and safety” as regards their being overrun from the north.

Scripture indicates it will happen. Without the conventional old war systems, such as the Merkava 3 and the new Merkava 4 tanks, Israel would be much more vulnerable to a conventional attack like the one launched against them from Syria in the 1973 Yom Kipper War.

The deterrent to non-conventional weapons, now being developed by the Arab states, lies in the Negev wilderness in the form of nuclear, chemical, and biological warheads on the hundreds of Jericho missiles found there. The mass destruction weapons possessed by Israel in the Negev are more than a sufficient deterrent to cause the Arab states not to launch theirs against Israel. When Israel truly believes it has attained peace and safety, then a conventional war attack will be launched against it from the north.

Tanks to have missile defense by 2007

The IDF plans to purchase and install Trophy active protection anti-missile systems on its Merkava tanks by the end of 2007, a high-ranking military officer said Wednesday.

The decision to purchase the systems was made following the war in Lebanon, during which the Armored Crops sustained heavy losses from Hizbullah anti-tank missile squads which damaged 40 Merkava tanks and killed over 30 tank crew members.

Developed by the Rafael Armament Development Authority,

the Trophy system creates a hemispheric protected zone around armored vehicles such as the Merkava tank, which operated prominently in Lebanon during the month-long war this past summer. The system is designed to detect and track a threat and counter it with a launched projectile that intercepts the anti-tank missile.

The IDF has asked the Treasury for a budget boost following the war in Lebanon amounting to NIS 10 billion. Part of the money, the high-ranking officer said, would be allocated to install active protection systems like the Trophy on IDF tanks.

While the Ground Forces Command led by Maj.-Gen. Benny Gantz has decided to procure the Trophy system, it has also asked other Israeli industries, including Israel Military Industries (IMI), to continue with its development of its own original tank missile defense system, called The Iron Fist.

Claimed to be capable of neutralizing all anti-tank threats, including kinetic shells fired by enemy tanks, the Iron Fist is in its final stages of testing according to IMI CEO Avi Felder and would be operational and ready for mass production by the end of 2007, only a few months behind Rafael’s Trophy.

The Iron Fist consists of a radar and passive optical system that detect incoming threats and destroy them by using a combustible blast interceptor within a fraction of a second.

Unlike the Trophy which fires off a large number of projectiles, the Iron Fist intercepts incoming threats by using a rocket the shape of a mortar that destroys the threat by using a blast effect which crushes its soft components or deflects the missile or kinetic rod in their flight.

Caroline Glick, in her Jerusalem Post article, makes a valid point with her account of the words of Hanan, the young son of a man who was murdered by Palestinians with a Kassam rocket. His reply to the key question of whether he wanted to run away from the Palestinian rockets that killed his Father, is not only a patriotic answer, it is the only correct answer to the question.

Our World: An Orphan’s Appeal

Yaacov Yaacobov was hard at work at the poultry processing plant in Sderot on Tuesday morning when Palestinian terrorists murdered him with a Kassam rocket.

Wednesday, an Arutz 7 reporter spoke to his young son Hanan. The reporter asked the boy whether he wanted to move away from his hometown to get

away from the rocket bombardment. Hanan said no, he wanted to stay.

When the reporter asked him why he wanted to stay, the orphaned child with moonbeam eyes replied, “I love Sderot very much, and I won’t leave it because I love the State of Israel. If I leave Sderot, if all of Sderot were evacuated, then the country would fall apart. The Palestinians will see that they are succeeding in Sderot, and then they’ll shoot Kassams at Ashkelon and Ashdod too, and do the same in the whole country until nothing is left.”

But three days after Hanan explained why Sderot must stand, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert decided to let it fall. Saturday night Olmert ordered the IDF to end the limited counterterror operations in Gaza he had allowed it to conduct in recent weeks.

Sunday morning Olmert explained, “Last night the chairman of the Palestinian Authority [Mahmoud Abbas] called to tell me of the decision by all the Palestinian [terrorist] factions to cease their fire, cease all their violent actions, including smuggling [of weapons] in tunnels [from Egypt to Gaza], [end] the deployment of suicide bombers and the firing of Kassam [rockets]. I was happy and congratulated the head of the Authority, and the two of us will do all we can for the cease-fire to get started this morning.”

By 6 a.m. all IDF units had abandoned their battle stations in Gaza, as ordered. Yet, when Olmert made this statement Sunday morning, the cease-fire had already fallen apart.

By 10 o’clock the Palestinians had launched 11 rockets. And by the end of the day Abbas’s Fatah terror group’s Aksa Brigades had already disavowed the cease-fire, claiming it was unfair because the IDF is still “allowed” to operate in Judea and Samaria.

OTHER FATAH groups didn’t even wait that long. Saturday night the Fatah’s Army of Islam and Popular Resistance Committees, which co-kidnapped Cpl. Gilad Shalit with Hamas in June, stated outright that they would ignore the cease-fire.

Sunday night Hamas was also threatening to resume its attacks. Hamas spokesmen argued that Abbas’s intention to deploy 13,000 Palestinian forces to the border with Israel in northern Gaza was unacceptable. If Abbas deploys those forces, or if his forces arrest any of our terrorists, Hamas warned, the cease-fire will be history.

But then, even before it was announced or disavowed, the cease-fire was a lie. While Olmert told the Israeli public that as part of the cease-fire the Palestinians would stop smuggling weapons into Gaza from the Sinai and cease all weapons production in Gaza, every Palestinian

official and unofficial body denied his claim. That is, the Palestinians view the cease-fire just as they viewed all previous cease-fires – as a respite to be used to replenish their arsenals and retrain their forces. Hamas’s commander Khaled Mashaal made this point explicitly when he said that his group plans to go to war with Israel in six to eight months.

Olmert and his cabinet ministers spent Sunday extolling the virtues of PA Chairman Abbas and waxing poetic about

the opportunity that the cease-fire affords us to strengthen him and pave the way for an eventual peace deal with him. So great is the government’s trust in Abbas that Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni told Israel Radio that if Israel receives information that the Palestinians are about to shoot off missiles at our cities, before allowing the IDF to defend us, the government will first ask Abbas to have his guys take a crack at it.

THE AMERICANS, for their part, are not merely cheering Abbas, they are funding, arming and training his “Presidential Guard” and pressuring Israel to allow an additional 1,500 PLO terrorists into Gaza from Jordan to join Abbas’s personal army. As US Army Lt. General Keith Dayton, who oversees the US training of Abbas’s forces explained to Yediot Aharonot on Friday, Abbas’s private army is supposed to be a counterweight to Hamas to ensure “that the moderate forces will not be erased.”

To Israelis concerned about the prospect of being erased, and for anyone concerned with fighting the global jihad, statements like Olmert’s, Livni’s and Dayton’s are infuriating because they

are based on two glaringly obvious factual errors.

First, Abbas’s forces are in no danger of being erased. Second, they are not and never have been moderate.

As The Jerusalem Post’s Khaled Abu Toameh reported on Friday, Abbas is the commander-in-chief of all the PA’s security forces. While it is true that in recent months Hamas has been fielding an army which now numbers some 6,000 jihadists in Gaza, Abbas has some 45,000 military forces in Gaza under his direct control. As the commander of all Fatah terror forces, Abbas also has several thousand additional terrorists under his thumb. Both the official Palestinian security forces and Fatah terror cells are armed to the teeth and are the chief beneficiaries of the weapons smuggling from the Sinai.

And yet, aside from shooting rockets, missiles, bullets and bombs at Israelis; co-kidnapping IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit with Hamas and holding him hostage; kidnapping foreign correspondents and forcibly converting them to Islam; murdering and torturing Palestinians suspected of assisting Israel in fighting Palestinians terror (as Abbas is pledged to do), and running protection rackets that terrorize Palestinian businessmen, workers and professionals alike, Abbas doesn’t use his forces for much of anything.

The last thing Israel or the US should be worrying about is Abbas’s forces’ defeat at the hands of Hamas.

AT THE same time, the last thing they can expect is for these forces to act as moderates. Over the past six years, Fatah terrorists, both in and out of the official Palestinian security services, have committed more terror attacks than Hamas.

While it is true that Hamas and Islamic Jihad are commanded by Iran, it is also true

that Fatah terror units are deeply penetrated by Iran and Hizbullah.

And yet, rather than accept the fact that Abbas is an enemy, not an ally, and that his “security forces” and Fatah “party” are actively involved in terror and racketeering, the US and Israel pretend that they are credible interlocutors. The US trains them and Israel allows them to be trained and pretends there is a chance that they will protect us from themselves.

In its press release regarding the cease-fire, the Foreign Ministry stated: “Israel is interested in maintaining a cease-fire as a means to end the violence and to enable progress in the political negotiations. In doing so Israel is knowingly undertaking the risk that the terrorist organizations will exploit the cease-fire to rearm and to rebuild their infrastructure.”

When asked on Israel Radio about the prospect of the Palestinians using the cease-fire to rebuild their arsenals, Defense Minister Amir Peretz’s strategic adviser Maj.

Gen. (ret.) Amos Gilad answered rhetorically, “And we were stopping the smuggling until now?”

He went on to assure his listeners that Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak, who has to date facilitated massive arms shipments to cross Egypt into Sinai, will now make sure that no weapons get through.

IT IS POSSIBLE that Olmert is playing a game of chance with the lives of Hanan Yaacobov and his fellow residents of the south in the hope of winning points with US President George W.

Bush when he visits in Jordan this week. Jordan’s King Abdullah set the agenda when he shamelessly told ABC News on Sunday that peace in Iraq is dependent on Israel’s willingness to capitulate to Palestinian terrorists because the whole Arab world is deeply emotional in its support of Palestinian terrorists against Israel.

Hanan Yaacobov, who no longer has his father to guide him through childhood, has some very mature guidance for Israel’s leaders, who may think it preferable to be applauded by foreigners than to defend their countrymen from our enemies.

“I, Yaacobov’s son, am turning to you.

Resign your positions! Resign. The defense minister and Olmert should admit that they can’t do this, and vacate their places in the government to Bibi Netanyahu and to [Avigdor] Lieberman. If they can [defend us] I want to see their answer. If not, they should vacate their seats, quickly.”

Dajjal – The Islamic Perversion of the Biblical Antichrist!

A few years ago one of our missionaries in Russia had advised a local group of Muslims that Islam was the spir it

of Antichrist. He told me it really shook them up, and they came back to him, attempting to prove to him they were not the spirit of Antichrist. I have never discussed the Islamic version of the one we call the Antichrist, but I received a query this morning from a good friend who asked me about “The Dajjal.” I have never discussed this evil personality in Islamic teachings before, because it is a perverted fabrication of teachings from the Old and New Testaments, as are a large percentage of the Koran and other Muslim writings.

The Muslims claim to have two older copies of the Koran, but they have never publicly shown them.

The world has never been able to find a copy written before 750 A.D.

After receiving the query this morning I decided to issue this Blog on the Dajjal teachings that are a corruption of Old and New Testament writings, realizing to “let sleeping dogs lie” may not be the best choice in this case.

Mohammed wrote the Koran more than 500 years after the writings of the New Testament were completed with the Book of Revelation, and he had access to, and read, both the Old and New Testaments. He, and the other Islamic writers who followed his writings, interpreted the one we call the Antichrist, to be the evil Dajjal.

The article which follows by Mohammed Ali Ibn Zubair Ali, “Who is the evil Dajjal,” is an excellent commentary on the Dajjal. It is easy to see, after reading it, why the Muslims came back to the missionary to try and convince him they had nothing to do with the evil Dajjal, who is the Islamic version of the one we call the Antichrist.

Hadhrat Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) relates that, “I heard Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) saying: “Since the birth of Adam (A.S.) till the advent of Qiyamah there is no fitnah (evil, test) much greater that of Dajjal.”

Hadhrat Huzaifah (R.A.) says, Dajjal will be blind in his left eye. He will have very thick hair on his body and he will also have his own type of Jannat (Heaven) and Jahannam (Hell) with him: Although his Jannat will appear as Jannat, in reality it will be Jahannam and likewise though his Jahannam will appear to be Jahannam, in reality it will be Jannat.

Imraan bin Husain (R.A.) says Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “Those who hear about Dajjal

should stay far from him. By Allah! A person will approach him thinking him to be a Believer, but on seeing his amazing feats he will become his follower.”

Ubadah bin Saamit (R.A.) once said, ” I have explained Dajjal to you but

I fear that you might not have understood.

Maseeh Dajjal will be short, and his legs will be crooked. The hair on his head will be extremely twisted.

He will have one eye (with which he can see, and this is the protruding eye about which other ahadeeth inform us) while his other eye will be totally flat. It will neither be deep (in its socket) nor protruding.

If you still have any doubt regarding him then remember that your Sustainer (Rabb) is not one-eyed. (Because Dajjal will eventually claim to be Allah). In a lengthy Hadith narrated by Abu Saeed (R.A.), Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) is reported to have said: “Dajjal will come but it will be prohibited and impossible for him to enter Madina. He will set up camp in a barren land outside Madina. One person who will be the best of persons will confront him by saying: “I bear witness that you are the very Dajjal about whom Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) has informed us.”

Dajjal will say to his followers, “If I kill this person and then revive him, you people will still doubt me?”

They will reply, “No.”

He will then kill this person, (according to another narration he will split this person in two) and thereafter revive him. This person will say, “I am totally convinced more than ever before that you definitely are Dajjal.”

Dajjal will attempt to kill this person again but his efforts will now be in vain.

(According to a hadith, after this incident, Dajjal will not be able to harm anyone.)

Hadhrat Anas (R.A.) says that Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “Dajjal will come and finally reach the outskirts of Madina. There will be three tremors. At that time, all the disbelievers and hypocrites will flee (from Madina).

In this way Madina Munawwarah will be purified of all the evil hypocrites.

Hadhrat Asma bint Yazeed (R.A.) narrates that Rasulullah (Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam) once came to my house and there he spoke about Dajjal. He said that before the emergence of Dajjal there will be three spells of drought. In one year the skies will withold one third of its rains, causing the earth to withold one third of its produce. In the second year the skies will withold two thirds of its rains, causing the earth to withold two thirds of its produce. In the third year, the skies will withold all its water and there will be no crops that year. All animals, be they hooved or toothed, will die as a result. The greatest evil of Dajjall will be to approach anyone and ask him: “If I bring your camel back to life, will you then believe that I am your Rabb?”

This person will reply, “Most certainly.”

Thereafter Shaytaan (from the many Shayateen who will always accompany Dajjal) will appear before this person in the form of his camel with a fat hump and fully laden udders.

Likewise Dajjal will appear before another person whose father and brother have long passed away and ask him, “If I bring your father and brother back to life will you believe that I am your Rabb?”

This person will reply, “Why not?”

Shaytaan will once again take on the appearance of his brother and father…

Hadhrat Mughira ibn Shu’ba (R.A.) says that, “No one asked Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) about Dajjal as much as myself. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) said to me, “How can he possibly harm you?”

I said: “People are saying that he will have with him a mountain of bread (provisions) and a river of water.”

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wassallam) said: “In the sight of Allah he is much more disgraced than that. (i.e. Allah knows full well that in reality Dajjal has nothing with him, and all that which appears to be with him is but deception). (Bukhari and Muslim).

Other Ahadeeth regarding Dajjal inform us that:

He will emerge between Shaam and Iraq, and his emergence will become known when he is in Isfahaan at a place called Yahudea.

The Yahudis (Jews) of Isfahaan will be his main followers.
Apart from having mainly Yahudi followers, he will have a great number of women followers as well.

He will have with him fire and water, but in reality the fire will be cold water while that what appears to be cold water will in reality be a blazing fire.

Those who obey him will enter “his Jannat” while those who disobey him will enter “his Jahannam.”

There will be a thick fingernail-like object in his left eye.

The letters “Kaa” “Faa” “Raa” will appear on his forehead and will be deciphered by all Mu’ mineen regardless of them being literate or not.

He will have a wheatish complexion.

He will travel at great speeds and his means of conveyance will be a gigantic mule.

It is said that he will play beautiful music which will attract the music lovers.

Dajjal will lay claim to prophethood.

He will then lay claim to Divinity.

He will perform unusual feats.

He will travel the entire world. He will send down rains upon those who believe in him, which in turn will cause good crops to grow, trees to bear fruit and cattle to grow fat.

He will cause drought to those who disbelieve in him, resulting in starvation and hardship for them.

During those trying times the Mu’mineen will satiate their hunger through the recitation of Subhanallah and La’ilaha Ilallahu.

The hidden treasures will spill forth at his command.

He will stay on this Earth for a period of forty days; the length of the first day will be one year, the second day will

be equal to one month, the third day will be equal to a week and the remaining days will be normal.
He will be unable to enter Makkah because the Malaikah will be guarding the Holy City and nor will he be able to enter Madina because there will be Malaikah guarding each of the seven entrances to Madina; From Madina he will proceed towards Shaam where Imaam Mahdi will be stationed.

Finally Isa (A.S.) will descend from the heavens and pursue him and eventually kill him at present day Lydda (Baad Lud).

My answer to the question asked in the YNet News article, “Where will the Truce (Hudna) Lead?” is an easy one – All roads eventually lead to the Negev Wilderness, where Israel will be confined by a confederation of 10 Islamic nations for some three and one-half years.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Hudna Seems the Way Hamas May Follow for Awhile!

From comments made by all of the Hamas leaders since they won the democratic election in January, as I have indicated in previous Blogs, it appears likely that Hamas will declare a Hudna (truce) with Israel. It will give them time to organize a working Palestinian government with all the facets of providing an acceptable standard of life for Palestinians who elected them.

The PA government under Yassar Arafat was in a state of such utter corruption by its leaders, that the people saw very little of the money it received expended in multiple services provided to better public facilities and programs. The Hamas has never had to be responsible for operating to provide

for the many municipality needs of the entire Palestinian governmental structure. Consequently, they need a Hudna to give them time to do so, because Fatah, al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades, and Islamic Jihad are going to be a thorn in their side, while they attempt to collect funds and build a government infrastructure.

It is possible they might get Islamic Jihad, al-Aksa Martyr’s Brigades, and Fatah to agree to a Hudna with Israel for a while, thereby giving all of the groups a breather to prepare for future combat.

According to Umdat as-Salik, hudnas with a non-Muslim enemy should be limited to 10 years: “if Muslims are weak, a truce may be made for ten years if necessary, for the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) made a truce with the Quraysh for that long, as is related by Abu Dawud” (’Umdat as-Salik, o9.16).

A peace treaty with Israel seems to be out of the question for Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and al-Aksa Martyr’s Brigades, but a Hudna (truce) is not a peace treaty, merely a time when a temporary lull of “peace and safety” can be experienced by both sides in the conflict. A genuine peace treaty as we understand one cannot be possible, as the following article by the Jerusalem Post Staff indicates.

Hamas Leaders Reject Negotiations with Israel

Top Hamas figures Mahmoud Zahar and Saed Siyam rejected on Sunday any possible peace negotiations with Israel.

Speaking in Amman, Jordan before parliament members from all over the Arab world, Zahar said that Israel was an enemy, and thus not a partner for negotiations, Israel Radio reported.

He added that Hamas did not plan to renew the failed diplomatic talks with Israel.

Every nation has a war contingency plan.

And, the smaller the country, the more imperative is the requirement for a detailed war contingency evacuation plan. Israel began to formulate, plan, and build her evacuation area in the early fifties. She chose the only reasonable zone,

the Negev wilderness.

The Negev comprises more than one-third of the total land area of Israel, beginning just north of Beersheva, and extending all the way southward to the Gulf of Aqaba. Why was the Negev the only reasonable area? From the historical prospective, the majority of Israel’s major conquerors have come down from the north. Even Nebuchadnezzar, whose great empire began to the east of Israel in Babylonia, first went northwest through southern Syria to eventually attack Israel from the north. Once Israel had signed a peace treaty with Egypt, and then with Jordan, it became evident to her political and military leaders, that they had been correct in select

ing the Negev. At present, it appears very unlikely that an attack will be made against Israel from any zone other than the Syria-Lebanon area. Some minister, no one knows who, during the early part of the last century, visited Petra in Jordan, and formed an erroneous opinion, which has become very popular among many teachers of prophecy. Whoever he was, his military training was sadly lacking, for he looked Petra over, and decided it would make a great defensive position for Israel to occupy, that is, if she ever had to flee her homeland. As a graduate of a military academy, and a retiree from the USAF-NSA, I can assure you, Petra is the worst possible place to evacuate the survivors of a successful Arab attack against Israel. I doubt if the one who first advanced this idea actually walked all the way through Petra’s narrow northern entrance and then continued to walk out on the vast open plain to the southwest. Petra may have been a great place to defend in biblical times with the weaponry of those days, but it would be impossible to defend today. But there are other compelling reasons why Israel would never flee to Petra. There are no natural water sources in that area, and water collection by its ingenious ancient inhabitants from desert thunderstorms was never able to support a population of more than 20,000. And food production in the soil horizons of this area could never support the evacuation of one-third of Israel’s population. It is also a certainty that the modern day occupants of Jordan would not offer to help Israel escape the Antichrist. But the belief that Israel will flee to Petra has become so popularized by many prominent ministers, it makes it very difficult to dissuade most followers of prophetic events. However, the fact that Israel has spent billions and billions of dollars turning the Negev into the most fortified zone on the earth, gives me the growing assurance that this is the place the woman Israel, who is described as going into the wilderness in the 12th Chapter of Revelation, will soon end up for the last three and one-half years of the tribulation period. In the next prophetic update, Lord willing, I will discuss the military developments that turned the Negev into the best prepared evacuation zone in the world. The Remnant of Israel, Past, Present, and Future!

Part 7

Revelation 12:6,15,16 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. [15] And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. [16] And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

I have already exposited on all the verses prior to verses 15 and 16 in Parts 1 through 6 of previous Birth Pang Updates. The woman, Israel, has received a population decrease of two-thirds, evacuated the city of Jerusalem, and is in the act of fleeing into the Israeli land south of Beersheva, which is the Negev. But the Scriptures indicate that this remnant will one day return, and at that time they will call God their God, and He will once again call them His people. The “residue” (remnant) will not be “cut off” from Jerusalem forever, but will come north out of the Negev, following the battle of Armageddon, to retake the city.

Zechariah 13:8 to 14:2 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. [9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

[1] Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. [2] For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

The confederation of 10 nations, led by antichrist, is moving like a rolling flood in hot pursuit of Israel in verses 15 and 16. The word “flood” is used several times in the Old Testament to refer to an army advancing like a flood. One use is in Jeremiah 46:8.

Jeremiah 46:8 – Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city and the inhabitants thereof.

The antichrist has been brought down by God to drive Israel into the Negev.

Ezekiel 38:3,4,14-17 – And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: [4] And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: [14] Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord God; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it? [15] And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: [16] And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. [17] Thus saith the Lord God; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

Revelation 12:16 – And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

After God has put hooks into antichrist’s jaws to bring him into Israel, the Devil is cast out of heaven, and immediately directs the antichrist’s armies southward from Jerusalem toward the entrance city to the Negev, namely Beersheva. Across southern Israel, from Hebron to Beersheva, are numerous topographical folds in the rock strata oriented northeast to southwest, and in these folds are hinge faults with the same orientation. This type of fault is capable of suddenly opening during the occurrence of earthquake activity. An army passing through this zone in hot pursuit, if large earthquakes suddenly rippled through it from Israel’s Arabah Fault in the Jordan Valley, could suffer many casualties by being swallowed up in it. This is probably the earthquake that begins the last 3 and ½ years of the Tribulation Period, which occurs on the opening of the 6th Seal.

Revelation 6:12-17 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Ezekiel 38:18,19 – And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face. [19] For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

Once the series of earthquakes have depleted his army, the antichrist, who will know the strength of Israel in the Negev, will halt his advance at Beersheva, and head for Egypt.

This will leave between 1.7 and 1.9 Million Israelis trapped in the Negev for about 3 and ½ years.

Daniel 11:43 – But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

In our next update, Lord willing, we will close Chapter 12 with verse 17, discussing this “remmant” of the woman’s “seed” that exhibits what true churches teach today.

Revelation 12:17 – And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Where Will the Truce Lead?

Israel has had some bad experiences with cease-fires with the Palestinians in the past.

It can already be ascertained that the primary motive for calling for a cease-fire can be attributed to the pressure emanating from the Palestinian street in Gaza and directed at the armed factions.

For almost a year the population has been under an economic and military siege and is paying a heavy death toll for the “Kassam Intifada.” The losses incurred by the IDF’s operations, plus the fear of a broad military offensive by Israel in the near future, filled a crucial role in the agreement by the leaderships of Hamas and Islamic Jihad to Abbas’ pleas for holding fire.

Hamas and the other organizations need a truce to replenish their stockpiles of rockets and other munitions, to give their people a break, and to reorganize their ranks. Even terror groups reach a breaking point following which they call for a cease-fire. From Israel’s point of view, the primary danger of a cease-fire is the continued smuggling of arms and explosives via the Philadelphi Route and the strengthening of Hamas.

A cease-fire binds the hands of the IDF and prevents it from taking military action to stop the strengthening of the terrorist factions.
