JEREMIAH’S “LATTER DAYS” PROPHECIES – PART 6

Zechariah 14:5 – And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Luke 21:27 – And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

JEREMIAH 31:9 – They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

Zechariah 14:8,9 – And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. The western border of Israel’s 1260 day Negev Wilderness home will extend from the southern tip of the Gaza Strip southward along the Egyptian Sinai border to the northern tip of the Gulf of Aqabah, then northward along the western border of Jordan to the southern tip of the Dead Sea, then westward to Beersheba, then continuing to the southern tip of the Gaza Strip where we began. I have viewed this area many times from satellite orbits launched from Vandenberg AFB, and have traveled along the entire route during my many trips to Israel.

Every nation has a war contingency plan. And, the smaller the country, the more imperative is the requirement for a detailed war contingency evacuation plan. Israel began to formulate, plan, and build her evacuation area in the early fifties. She chose the only reasonable zone, the Negev wilderness. The Negev comprises more than one-third of the total land area of Israel, beginning just north of Beersheba, and extending all the way southward to the Gulf of Aqaba. Why was the Negev the only reasonable area? From the historical prospective, the majority of Israel’s major conquerors have come down from the north. Even Nebuchadnezzar, whose great empire began to the east of Israel in Babylonia, first went northwest through southern Syria to eventually attack Israel from the north.

Once Israel had signed a peace treaty with Egypt, and then with Jordan, it became evident to her political and military leaders, that they had been correct in selecting the Negev. At present, it appears very unlikely that an attack will be made against Israel from any zone other than the Syria-Lebanon area. Some minister, no one knows who, during the early part of the last century, visited Petra in Jordan, and formed an erroneous opinion, which has become very popular among many teachers of prophecy. Whoever he was, his military training was sadly lacking, for he looked Petra over, and decided it would make a great defensive position for Israel to occupy, that is, if she ever had to flee her homeland. As a graduate of a military academy, and a retiree from the USAF-NSA, I can assure you, Petra is the worst possible place to evacuate the survivors of a successful Arab attack against Israel. I doubt if the one who first advanced this idea actually walked all the way through Petra’s narrow northern entrance and then continued to walk out on the vast open plain to the southwest. Petra may have been a great place to defend in biblical times with the weaponry of those days, but it would be impossible to defend today.

But there are other compelling reasons why Israel would never flee to Petra. There are no natural water sources in that area, and water collection by its ingenious ancient inhabitants from desert thunderstorms was never able to support a population of more than 20,000. And food production in the soil horizons of this area could never support the evacuation of one-third of Israel’s population. It is also a certainty that the modern day occupants of Jordan would not offer to help Israel escape the Antichrist. But the belief that Israel will flee to Petra has become so popularized by many prominent ministers, it makes it very difficult to dissuade most followers of prophetic events. However, the fact that Israel has spent billions and billions of dollars turning the Negev into the most fortified, best camouflaged, zone on the earth, gives me the assurance that this is the place the woman Israel, who is described as going into the wilderness in the 12th Chapter of Revelation, will soon end up for the last three and one-half years of the tribulation period. In the next prophetic update, Lord willing, I will discuss the military developments that turned the Negev into the best prepared evacuation zone in the world.

Gabi Green, a lifelong farmer, crosses his giant melon field that separates the houses of Kibbutz Lotan and the Jordanian border. Just 50 km (31 miles) north of Eilat, the peace and serenity in kibbutz Lotan is evident. Children playing and splashing in the kibbutz pool can be heard from afar on a hot summer day.

As Green drives across his field, he stops and points at a low barbed-wire fence that could easily be penetrated. Green then points at a small sign posted on the fence and reads: “This is the kingdom of Jordan.”

Next to the official sign, another broken and dusty sign hangs on the fence, declaring that this is the border set during the Israel–Jordan Treaty of Peace in 1994. Over the fence, one can see a Jordanian military outpost in the distance.

This is the “border” that separates Israel from one of the only countries that has yet to endure the consequences of the Arab Spring: Some 260 km (161 miles) of open land with a dilapidated barbed-wire fence. Any one can cross the border, go in, go out, by car or by foot, at daytime or nighttime.

The State of Israel invests billions of shekels in restoring and building the fence in the more volatile borders. It can even find a way around the budgetary constraints when it comes to building the fence in those areas.

While on the western side of the southern Negev, the efforts to complete building the fence are well underway, Ynet learned this week that on the other side, the situation is not looking so good.

According to the Defense establishment, the border with Jordan – the safest of Israel’s borders – is generally divided into two: the Arava sector and the Jordan Valley sector.

The Jordan Valley sector is the more sensitive of the two not only because of its hilly terrain but rather because of the “corridor” which surrounds the Jordan Valley Road that separates Jordan from the West Bank, Palestinian territories and settlements.

In this sector, which stretches upon 100 km (62 miles), a security fence exists. However, only several parts of it have been significantly upgraded over the past few months. The IDF is preparing to reorganize the radar and observation layout, in effort to increase its control on the area.

In the Arava sector, the fence appears to be even more dilapidated than the fence Israel had on the border with Egypt, prior to building a new one.

During Ynet’s investigation in the area, we found that certain sections of the fence that are near to Kibbutzim, are easily penetrable.

Near Kibbutz Lotan for instance, we could in broad daylight stand on Jordanian territory uninterrupted for quite a while. Army patrols in the area are limited due to faulty roads, tall shrubs and generally tough terrain which leave the area more exposed to terror attacks.

This area is part of a new terror smuggling route which may serve terrorists in the near future – from Gaza to south Sinai, from Sinai to Jordan via the sea and from Jordan to Israel. IDF officials fear that as the Egyptian border becomes more secure, Sinai smugglers will start to relocate their efforts and use the Jordan route.

Infiltrators, illegal migrants and terrorists can expect to run into a more prepared and qualified force than the several scattered Egyptian policemen who patrol the western border. The Jordanian soldiers are well prepared and well equipped with weapons from the US.

However, the vast open space and the run down fence can easily be harnessed by potential infiltrators.

“Last weekend, five Turkish infiltrators entered Israel through the Arava sector, and four Pakistanis also attempted to enter the country but were arrested. We haven’t seen many African infiltrators but there are signs indicating that it is not too far ahead,” the IDF’s Jordan Valley Division Commander Nochi Mendel said.

“It is obvious that if Jordan is weakened that we will eventually find Iranians on the fence,” he added.

“The Jordanian soldiers keep looking over at Jordan,” a reserve soldier on a break from a patrol said. “We don’t talk to them. When I was here on active duty it was the same. Once we got here we were told, drive slowly no matter what. There will be no chases.”

Yoni Roth, the IDF security officer for Kibbutz Ketura, which is less than 3 kilometers from the border, has more concerns. Yoni and his friends at the Kibbutz’s emergency squad will have just a few short-barrel M-16 rifles at their disposal to use against any terrorists before soldiers arrive at the scene.

“Personally, it really stresses me out because we’re a very secluded community,” he says. “There are hardly any forces between Eilat and Ein Yahav. It’s not reassuring knowing that the army patrol comes by once every few hours when what stands between me and the other side is one sand dune. Once every three weeks when I get a new reserve outfit, the first thing I ask them: ‘When there’s a real alert, get here fast.”

Roth describes a quiet routine where the most dramatic event is migrant infiltrations. “We don’t have Gaza to deal with, but based on what’s going on around us, I would say the threat is getting nearer.”

Asked about his Jordanian neighbors, Roth says that “to the best of my knowledge they are pushing for a fence to be installed and are doing their job well. But I’m not waiting for the day when we’ll be forced to learn that things aren’t so calm here after all.”

Green, the farmer who accompanied us at Kibbutz Lotan is even less optimistic. “Sometimes I work in the fields at night. Who will know if I’m kidnapped? Terrorists can enter the kibbutz easily and access communities west of the Arava Highway within 15 minutes, spray bullets at kindergartens or open fire at the pool. I guess things will only get moving once there is a terrorist attack.”

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in response, “The IDF is constantly monitoring the changes along the borders and working to face the challenges in order to protect Israel and its residents. A year ago the IDF set up the Arava Territorial Brigade which controls the eastern border area, from the Dead Sea to north Eilat. The creation of the brigade is part of a reassessment of the IDF’s defense readiness.”

Addressing the migrant infiltration problem, the IDF said: “There is ongoing operational activity including foot and vehicle patrols as well as the thwarting of infiltration attempts by forces on the ground.”

IDF sources added that “The Jordan peace deal is a strategic asset both for Israel and Jordan and it’s in both sides’ interest to maintain it.”

The prime minister’s bureau said that work is being done to promote the construction of a barrier on the eastern border. “There are no infiltrations on the Jordanian border which is secure but the issue of the fence is being handled based on the recognition that shutting the border with Egypt will result in infiltrations through Jordan.”

The new papal nuncio, as the ambassador is known, has been serving as papal envoy to Australia since 2007, and he is expected to replace outgoing Archbishop Antonio Franco after six years of service in Jerusalem.

Franco, who threatened to boycott the Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony five years ago, will be remembered in Rome as the envoy who conducted the Catholic Church’s battle to clear the name of Pope Pius XII at the Yad Vashem Museum. The campaign was hailed as a success by the Vatican after the Holocaust memorial museum agreed to replace a caption suggesting Pope Pius XII did not do enough to stop the genocide of six million Jews by Nazi Germany during World War II.

Lazzarotto, on the other hand, was linked to the pedophile priests scandal that rocked the Irish Catholic Church in 2005. He was accused of doing everything in his power to protect them. Lazzarotto, who served as the Vatican’s ambassador to Ireland at the time, was thought to have spearheaded Pope Benedict’s policy not to cooperate with Judge Yvonne Murphy, the head of the committee appointed by the government of Ireland to investigate the sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic archdiocese of Dublin.

The committee’s report concluded that “the Dublin Archdiocese’s preoccupations in dealing with cases of child sexual abuse, at least until the mid 1990s, were the maintenance of secrecy, the avoidance of scandal, the protection of the reputation of the Church, and the preservation of its assets. All other considerations, including the welfare of children and justice for victims, were subordinated to these priorities.”

The committee criticized Archbishop Lazzarotto for refusing to disclose information on reports of clerical child sex abuse, and in 2008, a year before the commission of inquiry submitted its incriminating findings to the Irish Supreme Court, Rome decided to appoint him as its envoy in Australia.

In an unprecedented attack on the Holy See, then-Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny said, “The rape and torture of children were downplayed or ‘managed’ to uphold instead the primacy of the institution, its power, standing and reputation.” He denounced “elitism, disconnection, dysfunction and narcissism in the Vatican.”

Last November Dublin decided to close its embassy to the Vatican.

And now the Vatican has decided to appoint Lazzarotto as its ambassador to Israel. “The Jews have problems of their own,” Vatican Secretariat of State officials may have thought to themselves. “Pedophilic priests are not on the agenda of the tumultuous Middle East, so we can show our appreciation for Lazzarotto’s loyalty during the scandal in Ireland by appointing him to the prestigious post of the Vatican’s envoy in Jerusalem.”

The appointment is a slap in Israel’s face and underscores the strained relations between the Holy See and the Jewish state, which are based mainly on symbolic gestures. Therefore, Israel must demand clarifications from the Vatican and Ireland regarding the archbishop’s conduct during the pedophilic priest scandal – before his term as ambassador to Israel begins.

By doing so, Israel would be sending a clear message to clerics everywhere that it considers the sexual abuse of children a severe crime and that those who sanction such crimes will not find refuge here – even if they are the pope’s representatives.

Short range

The main arsenal of Hezbollah’s rocket force consists of over 100,000 rockets, including the 122mm BM-21 rockets which have a range of 25 km. Hezbollah is also believed to have fired Shahin I missile which was described as a Ra’ad 1 missile by Hezbollah’s TV station and has a range of 13 km However, the vast majority of their rocket arsenal are made up of 122mm Katyusha rockets.

Fajr rockets

Hezbollah also possesses longer range rockets, namely the Fajr-5 rocket which has a range of 45 km ; the missile was fired into Israel in the 2006 conflict. It was reported that in 2006 Israel Defense Forces (IDF) believed that Hezbollah had some 100 Fajr rockets.

Fadjr rockets are normally fired on tank-mounted multiple launch systems. Before 2000, the rockets delivered to Hezbollah were believed to have come individually and to be fired from improvised missile launchers. The launching crew could fire the rockets remotely to avoid enemy’s counter-battery fire. In early 2001, it became known that Hezbollah had deployed a belt of mobile multi-barreled rocket launchers and truck-mounted missiles along Israel’s northern border in preparation of a conflict with Israel.

Zelzal-2 rockets

Hezbollah is also believed by some analysts to have the more potent Zelzal-2 which has a claimed range of 200–400 km but with realistic range estimated at 100 km. The Iranian-built missile could reach Tel Aviv from southern Lebanon. The missile can be fitted with a 600 kg high-explosive warhead and has a solid fuel system that allows it to be easily transported and prepared for firing. Although these are unguided missiles, they could cause serious damages if used on urban areas.

A report by Agence France Presse estimates a stockpile of 30 missiles of the Zelzal type.

Scud ballistic missiles

Israel said that Hezbollah has possession of Scud missiles that were provided to them by Syria. US officials believe hezbollah to have possession of these missiles as well. The reports were denied by Syria.[14]

Anti-ship missile

On 14 July 2006, Hezbollah forces fired, an anti-ship missile, at the Israeli corvette INS Hanit, killing four sailors and inflicting substantial damage. A second missile sunk a Cambodian vessel crewed by Egyptian sailors, although no deaths were reported. The Israeli military believes that Iranian advisers from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) were present at the launch during the attack. Iran has denied involvement in the incident.

Unmanned aerial vehicle

Iran has supplied Hezbollah with Mohajer-4 Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These have flown successfully into Israeli airspace in November 2004 and April 2005.

On August 19, 2012, the office of Sheikh Mahdi Al-Sumide’i, who heads the Sunni religious ruling authority in Iraq, denied that he had been killed the previous day in a car bombing of his convoy in western Baghdad the previous day, but that several of his security personnel had been killed. He is reported to be critically wounded.

In an August 2004 interview on Syrian TV, Al-Sumide’i told of the divine spiders sent by Allah to assist the Muslims in the battle of Falluja.

Sheikh Mahdi Al-Sumide’i: “They [the Americans] attacked Falluja and tried to cause great damage to its residents. They destroyed mosques and homes, killed women, children, and youths, and spread corruption in Falluja. Nevertheless, we believe that Allah protects the believers, and indeed, Allah stood beside Falluja, and I’d like to mention some miracles Allah performed in Falluja. It is possible that the media does not know about them.

“The first miracle that occurred in Falluja took the form of spiders that appeared in the city – each spider larger than this chair, or about the size of this chair. The American soldiers left, holding the legs of this spider, and I too, in one of the Friday sermons, held up a spider, with all its magnitude, in front of the satellite channels and in front of the world. This spider also had thin black hair. If this hair touches the human body, within a short period of time the body becomes black or blue, and then there is an explosion in the blood cells in the human body – and the person dies.

If the American mothers, sisters, and wives – and this is a message directed at the American people – if they knew what was happening to their children in Iraq, no woman could sleep in her bed at night, and you would see women and children in the streets of America, down on their knees, throwing dirt on their heads because of what is happening to the American forces in Iraq.

“Today, if a hundred Americans are killed, they say there was one casualty, and if dozens of tanks were blown up, they say one was blown up. No one will notice the losses caused to the American forces until they return to their bases – if they return, and in my opinion they will not return – but if they return, the world and the American people will see the number of losses.”

Interviewer: “Sheikh, what do the Americans do with all these casualties? Some say that there are special mass graves for the mercenary forces the Americans brought to Iraq and no one is allowed to photograph them. Somebody has said, on this program, that they discovered a mass grave in the Iraqi desert, and he took an Arab cameraman there, and he was told that if he films this mass grave, the Americans will kill him.”

Sheikh Al-Sumide’i: “This is the truth. We too followed this issue. A mass grave was created in a desert area near the Saudi border for the American soldiers killed. There is also a lake near Al-Sa’diya. The Americans place the casualties in white or black bags, seal them, and toss them from a plane into the lake.”

Following are excerpts from an address delivered by Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, which aired on Al-Manar TV on August 17, 2012.

Hassan Nasrallah: If Iran were weak, or it were strong yet cowardly, Israel would not have hesitated, and there would have been no debate, controversy, or disagreement in Israel. Israel would have bombed the Iranian nuclear facilities long ago.

Why has Israel not done so yet? Why is there controversy in Israel whether to bomb or not to bomb? Because Iran is powerful and courageous, and because the Israelis know full well – and I, along with all of you, know full well… What I say is not mere analysis. It is based on fact. We all know that the response of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be massive, resounding, and mighty, in the event that it is targeted by Israel.

Moreover, Israel will be presenting Iran with the golden historic opportunity that it has been dreaming of for 32 years.

I am not claiming that today, we are capable of destroying Israel. I am being realistic. I am not claiming that Hizbullah has the capability of destroying Israel. This would require tremendous capabilities. What I can say, however, is that we are able to turn the lives of millions of Zionist Israelis in all of occupied Palestine into a living hell.

We are capable of changing the face of Israel.

I say to the Israelis: There are a number of targets [in your country]. Not a large number – we don’t need a large number… These targets may be reached by several precise missiles. A few missiles will suffice. We don’t need many.

We possess such missiles. Striking these targets – which I will not name – with only a few missiles will turn the lives of hundreds of thousands of Zionists into a living hell. We may be talking about tens of thousands of fatalities – not just 300, 400, or 500.

Today, on Al-Quds Day 2012, I say to the Israelis: We have the coordinates of these targets. Our missiles are set in secret locations and are aimed at these targets.

At any stage of aggression against our country, if we have to strike this type of target in order to defend our people and our country, we will not hesitate to do so.

The Israelis must know this well: Any aggression will cost them dearly. It will not be comparable at all to the cost of the 2006 war.

There are some 320 Million Muslims living in the Middle East and North Africa to fight against some 6 Million Jews living in Israel – Odds greater than 53 to 1 against Israel in a conventional war. The Muslims have never been able to win a conventional war against Israel because there have never been 10 united Islamic nations to fight against Israel in a Middle East war. The Israelis won in 1948, 1956, 1967, and 1973. But in the next war 10 united Islamic horns, led by the Antichrist, will be able to drive Israel into the vast Negev Wilderness, and will keep them confined and surrounded there for some 1260 days from Beersheba to the Gulf of Aqaba, and from the Sinai border to the Jordanian border.

Revelation 17:12,13,17 – And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. [13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. [17] For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

II Thessalonians 2:3 – Let no man deceive by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Antichrist’s army is to initially be composed of 10 nations with 10 kings led by the man of sin himself. It was to arise out of a lineage of the old Roman Empire, and I have always believed it would rise out of the southern half of the Empire, being made up of 10 Arab nations. I believe the elements for its formation are in place today, and I suspect that the most likely Arab nations of which it will be comprised are Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

The Empire following the Roman Empire was the vast Umayyad Caliphate, which was individually larger that than any of the Kingdoms which afflicted or ruled Israel after God delivered her from Egyptian bondage. Seven of the great Mediterranean Kingdoms have dominated Israel – The (1) Egyptian, (2) Assyrian, (3) Babylonian, (4) Persian, (5) Grecian, (6) Roman, (7) Umayyad Kingdoms. Number 7 was Islamic as will be the Antichrist’s be Islamic as Number 8, so the two together are counted as the 7th Head on the Revelation Beast of Revelation 17.

Daniel 7:23-25 – Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. [24] And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. [25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

When a best selling book was written in the fifties about six emerging European Common Market nations, it began to cause many theologians to rapidly change their minds as to where the antichrist would eventually arise. Prior to that time most had believed he would arise out of the old Seleucid dynasty, which was formed by one of the generals who divided Alexander’s Grecian Empire into four sections. Many believed the Assyrian, in the fifth chapter of Micah, would be the antichrist, and that he would arise in, and come out of, modern day Syria. (See Nationality of the Antichrist – Parts 1 to 9, in Archive Prophecy Updates 62 to 69)

Before the European Common Market theory arose, a majority believed antichrist would come out of the southern half of the old Roman Empire, rather than out of the European northern half. But the great popularity of the aforementioned book ascended to the highest levels of acceptability, and previous beliefs were dwarfed to obscurity. The book indicated that the six original members of the Common Market would soon be joined by four other nations to reach ten, and then be joined by the eleventh horn. He was to be the antichrist of Daniel’s fourth beast in chapter seven. However, soon there were ten horns, then there were eleven, then more, then fifteen, then twenty-five, and soon more are likely to be added. But the astounding popularity of this book, and the thousands of preachers and other teachers who have taught it, have left a legacy behind them, and it is difficult to persuade very many they might not be correct in what they have taught, and are still teaching.

I have been concerned, ever since the book was published, about the possibility it might cause many to be deceived when he does not arise in Europe, but in Syria. Quite frankly, I watch both Europe and Syria just like a hawk, and, if I do see him rising in Europe, I most assuredly will accept it. I am prepared for both. But many are so convinced he must come out of Europe, I doubt if anything would change their minds. In any case, in future updates I will show my reasons for believing he will come out of the Syria area.

The beast of Daniel 7:23 does indeed represent the old Roman Empire, and it certainly did tread down “the whole world,” that is, the “known” world of Daniel’s day. Have you ever thought that perhaps we were meant to take the expressions of Daniel’s day concerning the world, and believe that is the only part of the present world the antichrist will dominate completely? (See Archive Prophecy Updates 77, 77A, 77b, and 77C)

The ten horns will arise out of “the whole world” of Daniel’s day. But why do they have to be European nations? Were not Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, northern Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and northern Sudan part of the old Roman Empire under the Emperor Trajan? And are not these countries the descendants of Ishmael, the first son of Abraham, and Keturah’s six sons by Abraham, and the two sons of Abraham’s nephew Lot, Moab and Ammon by his two daughters? Are not these descendants of Abraham the ones who have hated and battled the sons of Abraham through Israel for many centuries? In any case, since I believe the attack is likely to occur before 2016, I expect to know where he will arise one way or the other in the next few years, that is, if I survive the grave before Jesus returns. I am certain such an attack will occur, and I believe the best guess for its occurrence is 2014 to 2016, but I am by no means certain of WHEN it will occur, only that it is not in the distant future. It may well occur after 2016, but I do not believe many years will pass after that date before it is launched by 10 Arab nations.

I do not question that Europe will come down as part of a great mass of many nations and join the antichrist in Jerusalem for the final battle of Armageddon, but I am confident that the initial attack of the tribulation period will be by antichrist leading 10 Islamic nations against Israel.

First, the Assyrian, Leading Daniel’s 10 Horns, Drives Israel Into the Negev Wilderness, Which Begins the 1260 Days of Israel Trapped in the Negev. Then, More Than Three Years Later, Russia Comes Down with the Nations of the Post-Columbus Old World to Answer the Call to the Final Battle of the 1260 Days, Which is the Battle of Armageddon.

A few years ago I received a query as to when I believed Russia, that now occupies the territory held by the descendants of Magog when Daniel and Ezekiel wrote their prophecies, would come down to attack Israel? I do not believe that Russia will come down until the latter portion of the last 1260 days of the tribulation period.

You have read my lengthy dissertation of Daniel 9:27 to prove the vast majority of today’s prophetic teachings are based on the three “HE’s” being the antichrist, but that this was not taught before 1740. And, I have been unable to find a clearly stated valid first-of-the-week position before that date.

In order to justify a pre-tribulation rapture, it was necessary to create a war before the tribulation period, out of which the antichrist could arise to sign a peace treaty, which he would break after three and one half years of peace, but such a war never existed before 1740.

The term Muslim world (also known as the Ummah or Islamosphere) has several meanings. In a religious sense, it refers to those who adhere to the teachings of Islam, referred to as Muslims. In a cultural sense, it refers to Islamic civilization, inclusive of non-Muslims living in that civilization. In a modern geopolitical sense, the term usually refers collectively to Muslim-majority countries, states, districts, or towns.

Islam emphasizes unity and defense of fellow Muslims, although many schools and branches (see Shi’a–Sunni relations, for example) exist. In the past both Pan-Islamism and nationalist currents have influenced the status of the Muslim world.

As of 2009, over 1.6 billion or about 23% of the world population are Muslims. Of these, around 62% live in Asia-Pacific, 20% in the Middle East-North Africa, 15% in Sub-Saharan Africa,] around 3% in Europe and 0.3% in the Americas.
