Short range
The main arsenal of Hezbollah’s rocket force consists of over 100,000 rockets, including the 122mm BM-21 rockets which have a range of 25 km. Hezbollah is also believed to have fired Shahin I missile which was described as a Ra’ad 1 missile by Hezbollah’s TV station and has a range of 13 km However, the vast majority of their rocket arsenal are made up of 122mm Katyusha rockets.
Fajr rockets
Hezbollah also possesses longer range rockets, namely the Fajr-5 rocket which has a range of 45 km ; the missile was fired into Israel in the 2006 conflict. It was reported that in 2006 Israel Defense Forces (IDF) believed that Hezbollah had some 100 Fajr rockets.
Fadjr rockets are normally fired on tank-mounted multiple launch systems. Before 2000, the rockets delivered to Hezbollah were believed to have come individually and to be fired from improvised missile launchers. The launching crew could fire the rockets remotely to avoid enemy’s counter-battery fire. In early 2001, it became known that Hezbollah had deployed a belt of mobile multi-barreled rocket launchers and truck-mounted missiles along Israel’s northern border in preparation of a conflict with Israel.
Zelzal-2 rockets
Hezbollah is also believed by some analysts to have the more potent Zelzal-2 which has a claimed range of 200–400 km but with realistic range estimated at 100 km. The Iranian-built missile could reach Tel Aviv from southern Lebanon. The missile can be fitted with a 600 kg high-explosive warhead and has a solid fuel system that allows it to be easily transported and prepared for firing. Although these are unguided missiles, they could cause serious damages if used on urban areas.
A report by Agence France Presse estimates a stockpile of 30 missiles of the Zelzal type.
Scud ballistic missiles
Israel said that Hezbollah has possession of Scud missiles that were provided to them by Syria. US officials believe hezbollah to have possession of these missiles as well. The reports were denied by Syria.[14]
Anti-ship missile
On 14 July 2006, Hezbollah forces fired, an anti-ship missile, at the Israeli corvette INS Hanit, killing four sailors and inflicting substantial damage. A second missile sunk a Cambodian vessel crewed by Egyptian sailors, although no deaths were reported. The Israeli military believes that Iranian advisers from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) were present at the launch during the attack. Iran has denied involvement in the incident.
Unmanned aerial vehicle
Iran has supplied Hezbollah with Mohajer-4 Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). These have flown successfully into Israeli airspace in November 2004 and April 2005.

On August 19, 2012, the office of Sheikh Mahdi Al-Sumide’i, who heads the Sunni religious ruling authority in Iraq, denied that he had been killed the previous day in a car bombing of his convoy in western Baghdad the previous day, but that several of his security personnel had been killed. He is reported to be critically wounded.
In an August 2004 interview on Syrian TV, Al-Sumide’i told of the divine spiders sent by Allah to assist the Muslims in the battle of Falluja.
Sheikh Mahdi Al-Sumide’i: “They [the Americans] attacked Falluja and tried to cause great damage to its residents. They destroyed mosques and homes, killed women, children, and youths, and spread corruption in Falluja. Nevertheless, we believe that Allah protects the believers, and indeed, Allah stood beside Falluja, and I’d like to mention some miracles Allah performed in Falluja. It is possible that the media does not know about them.
“The first miracle that occurred in Falluja took the form of spiders that appeared in the city – each spider larger than this chair, or about the size of this chair. The American soldiers left, holding the legs of this spider, and I too, in one of the Friday sermons, held up a spider, with all its magnitude, in front of the satellite channels and in front of the world. This spider also had thin black hair. If this hair touches the human body, within a short period of time the body becomes black or blue, and then there is an explosion in the blood cells in the human body – and the person dies.

Interviewer: “The people saw it, but the TV stations did not air it?”
Sheikh Mahdi Saleh Al-Sumide’i: “The people saw it and the TV stations indeed aired it. I held the spider, and there were between 13 to 15 TV stations, including Al-Arabiya, Al-Jazeera, Al-Majd, Dubai, Abu-Dhabi and other stations, and they saw it with their own eyes.”
Interviewer: “According to your personal knowledge, are the casualties in Iraq of the American forces and their allies much greater than what the U.S. admits?”
Sheikh Mahdi Saleh Al-Sumide’i: “By Allah, I would like to say something. I swear in the name of Allah on this issue. If the American mothers, sisters, and wives – and this is a message directed at the American people – if they knew what was happening to their children in Iraq, no woman could sleep in her bed at night, and you would see women and children in the streets of America, down on their knees, throwing dirt on their heads because of what is happening to the American forces in Iraq.
“Today, if a hundred Americans are killed, they say there was one casualty, and if dozens of tanks were blown up, they say one was blown up. No one will notice the losses caused to the American forces until they return to their bases – if they return, and in my opinion they will not return – but if they return, the world and the American people will see the number of losses.”
Interviewer: “Sheikh, what do the Americans do with all these casualties? Some say that there are special mass graves for the mercenary forces the Americans brought to Iraq and no one is allowed to photograph them. Somebody has said, on this program, that they discovered a mass grave in the Iraqi desert, and he took an Arab cameraman there, and he was told that if he films this mass grave, the Americans will kill him.”
Sheikh Al-Sumide’i: “This is the truth. We too followed this issue. A mass grave was created in a desert area near the Saudi border for the American soldiers killed. There is also a lake near Al-Sa’diya. The Americans place the casualties in white or black bags, seal them, and toss them from a plane into the lake.”

Following are excerpts from an address delivered by Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, which aired on Al-Manar TV on August 17, 2012.
Hassan Nasrallah: If Iran were weak, or it were strong yet cowardly, Israel would not have hesitated, and there would have been no debate, controversy, or disagreement in Israel. Israel would have bombed the Iranian nuclear facilities long ago.
Why has Israel not done so yet? Why is there controversy in Israel whether to bomb or not to bomb? Because Iran is powerful and courageous, and because the Israelis know full well – and I, along with all of you, know full well… What I say is not mere analysis. It is based on fact. We all know that the response of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be massive, resounding, and mighty, in the event that it is targeted by Israel.
Moreover, Israel will be presenting Iran with the golden historic opportunity that it has been dreaming of for 32 years.

I am not claiming that today, we are capable of destroying Israel. I am being realistic. I am not claiming that Hizbullah has the capability of destroying Israel. This would require tremendous capabilities. What I can say, however, is that we are able to turn the lives of millions of Zionist Israelis in all of occupied Palestine into a living hell.
We are capable of changing the face of Israel.

I say to the Israelis: There are a number of targets [in your country]. Not a large number – we don’t need a large number… These targets may be reached by several precise missiles. A few missiles will suffice. We don’t need many.
We possess such missiles. Striking these targets – which I will not name – with only a few missiles will turn the lives of hundreds of thousands of Zionists into a living hell. We may be talking about tens of thousands of fatalities – not just 300, 400, or 500.
Today, on Al-Quds Day 2012, I say to the Israelis: We have the coordinates of these targets. Our missiles are set in secret locations and are aimed at these targets.
At any stage of aggression against our country, if we have to strike this type of target in order to defend our people and our country, we will not hesitate to do so.
The Israelis must know this well: Any aggression will cost them dearly. It will not be comparable at all to the cost of the 2006 war.
