Jesus, the sinless child in the Bethlehem manger in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwelt bodily, fulfilled the office of the Son of God without sin.

Matthew 11:29 – Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Isaiah 9:6,7 – For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. God revealed his foreknowledge plan he had hidden in the office of the Son in the Godhead because he knew the Son would be rejected – He turned to the far Isles of the Gentiles.

ISAIAH 49:1 – Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The Lord hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he MADE MENTION OF MY NAME.

Matthew 1:21 – And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Isaiah 7:14 – Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

One God took on three offices which were the offices of the Father, the Son, and the Comforter, which was His Plan before the foundation of the world, because by His foreknowledge that Adam would not obey him.  God chose to take on himself the sinless nature of the first Adam to give man a free choice to be redeemed by the blood of the Son, who fulfilled the office of the God-man redeemer of all who would call on him as the Lord, to save them eternally from condemnation to Hell by amazing grace faith in Him.  Jesus is the Old Testament Pre-incarnate Son who has fulfilled the office of the Son from the beginning.

Jesus is the 2nd and Last Adam who is the Seed who has fulfilled the Son’s Office!

Genesis 4:25,26 –  And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another SEED instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. [26] And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.

Romans 10:17,13 – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we MUST be saved.

The Pre-Incarnate Christ has held the office of the Son from the very beginning.

Revelation 22:13 – I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

God made man in the earth becoming blood flowing image he would one day have to take on himself in the office of the Son in the Godhead, which indwelled Jesus bodily in all fullness.

Genesis 1:26 – And God said, Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Adam lost the dominion inheritance, but the Last Adam preserved it for all who will believe and call upon his name.

I have written against the premise that chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), once used in air conditioners, refrigerators and spray cans, was responsible for depletions in the ozone layer.  One of my articles was published in the Congressional Record.  I have taught it since 1975.  Please consider the two following statements.

On September 21 to 30 in 2006, the average area of the ozone hole, was the largest ever observed, at 10.6 million square miles.

On September 17 in 2012, the area of the ozone hole was 11.6 million square miles.

There has never been an ozone hole in the Arctic, but ozone increased in the Arctic due to the recent volcanic eruption CFC’s blown into the stratosphere during the Iceland eruptions that caused grounding of aircraft over all of Europe.  It’s now being depleted.

New global warming report sparks controversy

British Met Office study suggesting global warming stopped 15 years ago stirs heated debate between ecologists, theory’s objectors; bureau says ‘choosing one end point on short-term scales for can be very misleading’

A new study by the United Kingdom’s National Weather Service, known as the Met Office has concluded that no significant rise has been noted in global temperature readings between 1997 and 2012, essentially indicating that accelerated global warming has stopped as far as 15-16 years ago

According to the study, “There has been no noticeable increase in global temperatures since early 1997… The warming trend observed from 1980 to 1996 was about as long as the current ‘plateau’ period and prior to that… global temperatures had been stable or dropping for decades.”

The revelation has sparked a heated debated between ecology and environmental experts – whose reactions ranged between dismissing the report altogether to saying that past evaluation methods were grossly inaccurate.

The figures bolstered the claims of those saying global warming warnings have been widely exaggerated, to the point of “creating mass hysteria.”

According to the global warming theory’s critics, the report once again debunked United Nations’ theories and proved that at the veer least, the “multi-trillion dollar schemes to deal with alleged human-caused climate change are at the very least severely misguided.”

The uproar caused by the report’s coverage prompted the Met Office to release a statement stressing that “Choosing a starting or end point on short-term scales can be very misleading.”  Climate change can only be detected from multi-decadal timescales due to the inherent variability in the climate system.

“Looking at successive decades over this period, each decade was warmer than the previous – so the 1990s were warmer than the 1980s, and the 2000s were warmer than both. Eight of the top ten warmest years have occurred in the last decade.

“Over the last 140 years global surface temperatures have risen by about 0.8C,” the Met Office said.

“However, within this record there have been several periods lasting a decade or more during which temperatures have risen very slowly or cooled.

“The current period of reduced warming is not unprecedented and 15-year long periods are not unusual,” the statement said.

“Climate models are very complex, but they are imperfect and incomplete,” Georgia Tech climate science department chief Professor Judith Curry told the Daily Mail.

“It is becoming increasingly apparent that our attribution of warming since 1980 and future projections of climate change needs to consider natural internal variability as a factor of fundamental importance.”

Antarctic ozone hole smaller than in 2011

The hole in the ozone layer, the earth’s protective shield against ultraviolet rays, is expected to be smaller this year over the Antarctic than last, showing how a ban on harmful substances has stopped its depletion, the United Nations said.

But the hole is probably larger than in 2010 and a complete recovery is still a long way off.

The signing of the Montreal Protocol 25 years ago to phase out chemicals that deplete the ozone layer has helped prevent millions of cases of skin cancer and eye cataracts as well as harmful effects on the environment, the UN weather agency said.”The temperature conditions and the extent of polar stratospheric clouds so far this year indicate that the degree of ozone loss will be smaller than in 2011 but probably somewhat larger than in 2010,” the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said in a statement.

The Antarctic ozone hole, which currently measures 19 million square kilometers, most likely would be smaller this year than in the record year of 2006, it said. The annual occurrence typically reaches its maximum surface area during late September and maximum depth in early October.

But the banned chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), once used in refrigerators and spray cans, have a long lifetime in the atmosphere and it will take several decades before their concentrations are back to pre-1980 levels, the WMO said.

The Montreal protocol has been a “great success”, UN weather agency expert Geir Braathen said.

“This has prevented a major environmental disaster and globally ozone depletion has leveled off. We haven’t really seen any kind of unequivocal ozone recovery yet,” he said.

“Ozone depletion has stopped, leveled off,” Braathen said.

In the Arctic stratosphere, there was record ozone loss in spring of 2011, but it has returned to more normal conditions this year, he said.

The Great Hoax – Man Is Destroying The Ozone Layer

Revelation 16:2 – And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

Since 1975 I have been convinced that manmade chlorofluorocarbons (CFC’s) were not responsible for the destruction of the Ozone layer that shields man from ultraviolet radiation.  My cries in books and videos fell on deaf hears for the most part, but now a leading French scientist has, with equal vigor, stated the same thing, and identified volcanoes as the culprit, just as I did in the seventies.

You will find it clearly outlined in a book, “Birth Pangs from the Bottomless Pit,” which I wrote in the late seventies, and in the video, “Fearful Sights and Great Signs,” which I made in a studio in Little Rock in the eighties.  Dardanelle MBC sells the book and the video together for twenty-five dollars, which you may type in on the Order Form from our Menu.  The basic material concerning the phenomena of ozone destruction and the events associated with other skin eruptions, before and during the tribulation period, are outlined in two Birth Pangs, 14 and 14A, which I put in my book in the seventies, and on our Web Site pages when we put up http://www.tribulationperiod.com/  in January 2001.

What follows is an extract from Birth Pang 14A in our Birth Pangs Archives, which you may find on our Menu.  BEGIN EXTRACT: “God has created a thick layer of ozone in the earth’s vast stratosphere.  If this layer was not there, man would be scorched with ultraviolet radiation, and annihilated from the earth within a few years.  Many scientists still cling to the idea that chlorofluorocarbons (CFC’s) are breaking down the stratospheric ozone layer.  However, the real culprits are the increasing frequencies of volcanic eruptions.  Ozone is a form of oxygen that protects man from the sin’s deadly ultraviolet radiation.  If this radiation could slip through the ozone layer it would lead to rapid worldwide outbreaks of fast growing skin cancer.  A U.S. Geological Survey scientist, Dr. David A. Johnston, missing and presumed dead since the first eruption of Mount Saint Helens, was quoted by Warren E. Leary, and Associated Press science writer as follows:

“Analysis of trapped gas pockets in volcanic and other material indicates molten magmas may contain 20 to 40 times more chlorine than earlier estimates upon which volcanic atmospheric impact had been estimated.  This means that the amount of chlorine emitted into the atmosphere could equal more than 100% of the 1975 world production in fluorocarbon chemicals.  Johnson said in his report that volcanic explosions powerful enough to penetrate the stratosphere have been occurring about once a year in recent times.  These eruptions shoot hydrogen chloride high enough to reach the ozone layer.”

As a scientist, certified to teach chemistry and physics, I was so certain the ozone layer was being depleted by gases blown vertically into it by volcanoes, that I began to teach and write about it in books published in the late seventies and early eighties.  I was so firmly convinced of it that I predicted the ozone hole would continue to grow, even after worldwide elimination of chlorofluorocarbon production by man had occurred.  In the early eighties they predicted the ozone hole would decline in size by 1985.  When it did not, they said it was due to residual effects.  But we were assured it would decrease by 1990.  When it did not, they said the residual effects were greater than they had thought, but we would see a small decline by 1995.  When it did not decline they kept on riding the same old dead horse, and predicted a thinning by 2000.  It is still continuing to grow, and now they say it may not decline until 2020.  The ozone hole growth since 1979 is as follows:  from very small in 1977 to 500,000 cubic kilometers in 1980, to 10,500,000 in 1986, to 22,000,000 in 1992, to 23,500,000 in 1994, to 27,0000,000 in 1999, and to 28,300,000 cubic kilometers in 2000.  And still there is no ozone hole over the North Pole, yet 74% of all ozone destroying particles are released in the Northern Hemisphere!  But isn’t it strange that most of the world’s volcanoes are located in the Southern Hemisphere, with many of them south of 60 degrees latitude, while only a handful of volcanoes exist north of 60 degrees latitude in the Northern Hemisphere.

MAN MADE CFC’S AREN’T RESPONSIBLE FOR SOUTH POLE OZONE HOLE

Please allow me to elaborate why man-made CFC gases are not the culprits responsible for the depletion of the ozone layer over the South Pole:

74% of all man-made CFC’s are released in the Northern hemisphere. The Long-term vertical circulation patterns of the earth in the Northern Hemisphere demand that the first ozone hole should have appeared over the North Pole – it did not!

The CFC gases are heavier than the atmosphere into which they are supposed to be rising, hence they cannot rise to the level of the ozone layer of their own volition.

CFC’s are washed out of the atmosphere by the precipitation cycle of the troposphere before they could reach the ozone layer.

CFC gases, without the direct help of volcanic activity, don’t penetrate the restricting worldwide temperature inversion, which begins well below the ozone layer at the tropopause.

VOLCANIC CFC’s ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SOUTH POLE OZONE HOLE

Now, please allow me to exposit why I am confident that volcanic eruptions are responsible for the depletion of the ozone layer over the South Pole:

The rate increase in major eruptions since 1950 is four times greater than at any time in recorded history.

Most vertical eruptions are occurring in the Southern Hemisphere, thereby causing the ozone hole to appear first over the South Pole, rather than the North Pole.

Volcanic eruptions forcefully blow different kinds of ozone depleting gases through the tropopause inversion into the ozone layer, bypassing much of the earth’s circulation and hydrological patterns.

There is an active volcano pouring its depleting gases upward into the center of the ozone hole from time to time – Mount Erebus, which is near the South Pole.

The growth of the ozone hole has been steadily toward the north over the southern tip of South America, where a thick concentration of active volcanoes exists today.

During the latter part of the Tribulation, thousands of volcanic eruptions, like those in Figure 10, will occur along the dashed lines of Figure 3 (See both these Figures in our Birth Pang Archives).  These eruptions will send staggering amounts of hydrogen chloride, nitric oxides, and other ozone depleting gases into the ozone layer.  The resultant breaking down of the ozone layer will allow ultraviolet radiation to pour through onto the inhabitants of the earth.  These occupants of the final days of Satan’s kingdoms on this planet will be scorched with the great heat of the sun’s ultraviolet radiation.  Yet they still will not repent toward the God of these plagues that physically destroy them.  They will understand the processes that are causing it, but they will not acknowledge that God is doing it.

Most Christian writers of today spend a lot of effort in trying to work the entire modern day arsenal of man into the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments.  Most make the last day skin plagues attributable to atomic radiation.  May I assure you that the ultraviolet and cosmic radiation, which would pour down on the earth’s surface if the ozone layer weakened and the magnetic poles reversed, would be thousands of times deadlier than atomic radiation.”  END EXTRACT.

Volcanic activity from the lone volcano located near the South Pole, and  those on the southern top of South America, has declined slightly during the period from 2000 to 2003, and the consequence has been that the ozone hole showed only a slight increase in its 2003 maximum size when compared with its 2000 maximum.  The new record size of 28,400,000 cubic kilometers occurred on September 20, 2003.  When the volcanic activity begins to increase in frequency and intensity in the future, rest assured the ozone hole will enlarge.  The ozone hole has large seasonal variations in its size each year, and there is a tendency, for those who say manmade CFC’s originally created it, to quote the smallest seasonal size.  The normal seasonal maximum appears from mid-September to early October.  If  there was a natural way to transport these manmade CFC’s above the tropopause level into the ozone layer, then they would definitely deplete it, but, as I have shown in my argument since the late seventies, there is no way that it has, can, or will happen.  There is only one way that sufficient CFC’s can be inducted into the ozone layer to deplete it – volcanic eruptions, which have sufficient vertical thrust to literally blast the CFC’s, and other ozone depleting gases, through the tropopause temperature inversions into the stratospheric ozone layer.  The depletion of ozone, which has created the expanding hole in it over the South Pole, was not generated by manmade CFC’s.

I have been telling people since the seventies that the ozone hole was going to keep on growing, because the CFC’s released by man were not penetrating the tropopause temperature inversion.  So, here we are in 2007, and a new record was just set for growth late last year, as attested by the article which follows.  The American public is being hoodwinked by two great hoaxes politicians try to tie together – Depletion of the Ozone Layer and Global Warming.  To be quite honest, I don’t think it is possible to defuse these hoaxes, because so many powerful politicians and organizations are behind them.  There are billions of dollars which will be used to eliminate two problems man cannot control, and I doubt if the companies or politicians want to give up their pork barrels.

ANTARCTIC OZONE HOLE SETS NEW RECORD FOR SIZE IN FALL OF 2006

“From September 21 to 30, [2006], the average area of the ozone hole was the largest ever observed, at 10.6 million square miles,” said Paul Newman, atmospheric scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Newman was joined by other scientists from NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in reporting that the ozone hole over the polar region of the Southern Hemisphere broke records for both area and depth in 2006. A little over a week after the ozone hole sustained its new record high for average area, satellites and balloon-based instruments recorded the lowest concentrations of ozone ever observed over Antarctica, making the ozone hole the deepest it had ever been.

This image, made from data collected by the Ozone Monitoring Instrument on NASA’s Aura satellite, shows the Antarctic ozone hole on September 24, 2006. The blues and purples that cover most of Antarctica illustrate where ozone levels were low, while greens, yellows, and red point to higher ozone levels. On September 24, the ozone hole covered an area of 11.4 million square miles, matching the single-day record area previously observed on September 9, 2000.

The new record set in 2006, by contrast, was for the largest average area over an 11-day period, indicating that the hole stayed larger for longer than it ever has before. This concept is demonstrated by the line graph immediately below the image. The blue line charts out the area of the ozone hole during 2006. In the background, the smooth grey curve illustrates the multi-year average area during the austral spring, when the ozone hole is largest. The red line shows the record areas—the largest area observed on any single day—during the same multi-year period. Instead of spiking and then dropping as might be expected, the area in 2006 ghosts the multi-year record, staying unusually large over a relatively long period.

The last line graph illustrates why the ozone hole was unusually large and long-lived in 2006. While human-produced compounds break down the ozone hole by releasing chlorine and bromine gases into the atmosphere, the temperature of the Antarctic stratosphere causes the severity of the ozone hole to vary from year to year. Colder-than-average temperatures result in larger and deeper ozone holes, while warmer temperatures lead to smaller ones. In 2006, as the graph shows, temperatures plunged well below average, hovering near or dipping below record-lows. These unusually cold temperatures increased the size of the ozone hole by 1.2 to 1.5 million square miles, according to an analysis completed by the NOAA National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP). If the stratospheric weather conditions had been normal, the ozone hole would be expected to reach a size of about 8.9 to 9.3 million square miles, about the surface area of North America.

The second record set in 2006—for the deepest ozone hole ever observed—is less obvious in the top image, but is hinted at by the prevalence of purple, the color used for the lowest concentrations. The Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) measures the total amount of ozone from the ground to the upper atmosphere over the entire Antarctic continent. The measurements are shown in Dobson Units. One Dobson Unit is the amount of ozone it would take to create a layer of pure ozone 0.01 millimeters thick at 0 degrees Celsius at the surface of the Earth. Any location where the concentration drops below 220 Dobson Units is part of the ozone hole. On October 8, 2006, OMI observed a low value of 85 Dobson Units (DU) in a region over the East Antarctic ice sheet. These measurements were similar to levels recorded by balloon-borne instruments over the South Pole. The balloons also found that nearly all of the ozone in the layer between eight and thirteen miles above the Earth’s surface had been destroyed. In this critical layer, the instrument measured a record low of only 1.2 DU.

“These numbers mean the ozone is virtually gone in this layer of the atmosphere,” said David Hofmann, director of the Global Monitoring Division at the NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory. “The depleted layer has an unusual vertical extent this year, so it appears that the 2006 ozone hole will go down as a record-setter.”

The ozone layer protects life on Earth by blocking harmful ultraviolet rays from the sun. The “ozone hole” is a severe depletion of the ozone layer high above Antarctica, so these regions may have received more ultraviolet light than usual. The 1987 Montreal Protocol banned ozone-depleting chemicals, but the long lifetime of those chemicals means that the ozone layer will not recover for several decades.

The Lord scattered his Jewish Kingdom several times during their history.  They were scattered by Titus and Hadrian Roman forces years after Christ ascended.  Jews started to return to their homeland in small groups in the thirties to become a declared Jewish State in 1948.  Some 4 Million Jews will be killed in the future, but 2 Million will flee into the Negev Wilderness.  A hudna (truce of safety) will be accepted at Beersheba, and the 2 million will remain in the Negev for some 3 & ½ years.

After the Second Advent of their Messiah. all remaining Jews will be gathered to their homeland from across all of planet earth, and shall dwell safely for 1000 years.

Cyberspace is “the notional environment in which communication over computer networks occurs.” The term was first used in science fiction and cinema in the 1980s, was adopted by computer professionals and became a household term in the 1990s. Many view the right to privacy as most important to a functional code of cyberethics. Scientists explore Grenada Underwater Volcano to better understand Tsunamis and Earthquakes

A team of scientists from the United States has travelled to Grenada, exploring the darkest corners of a huge underwater volcano off the island’s coast hoping to better understanding the mysteries of earthquakes and tsunamis, and ultimately saving lives.

President of US Ocean Exploration Trust, Robert Ballard, famous for discovering the Titanic 12,000 feet below the surface of the icy North Atlantic in 1985, has set his sights on exploring the volcano, Kick’em Jenny, studying its eruption history and learn more about how underwater volcanoes can pose a threat.

Kick’em Jenny is an active volcano lying on the sea bed of the Caribbean Sea, to the north of Grenada. There were 12 eruptions from this volcano is 2001. Today, a safety zone near the volcano prohibits scuba divers and snorkellers from going near the area and is rated number seven on the top 10 list of active underwarter volcanoes.

Ballard, who is also director of the Center for Ocean Exploration at the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography, said the Kick’em Jenny volcano has a history of explosive eruptions, which could have the potential to trigger tsunamis, the effects from which could be felt as far away as the northeastern United States.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the Kick’em Jenny volcano has erupted 10 times since 1939, with the most recent eruption in 1990.

“This is the most hazardous part of our planet, where (tectonic) plates are head-on,” said Ballard, noting that the devastating 2011 Japanese earthquake and the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami were both underwater earthquakes.

The American television network, ABC TV,  said reporters from its “Nightline” programme accompanied Ballard and his team of 40 explorers aboard their exploration vessel Nautilus during the final 48 hours of their 90-day voyage, which was documented for an upcoming National Geographic special, “Caribbean’s Deadly Underworld,” which premieres Sunday on the US network, Nat Geo WILD.

The conditions around the Kick’em Jenny volcano are so dangerous to humans that Ballard and his team relied on the Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) “Hercules,” a 5,000-pound submersible, to be their “eyes and ears” inside the volcano,”  ABC TV reported.

It said as Hercules descends into the volcano, Ballard and his team watch the robot’ live cameras from a control room aboard the Nautilus.

After hours of searching, the team made a startling discovery.

“It means that places that we thought there was very little life existing on our plant, we’ve just opened up a whole other area where life seems to be thriving,” Ballard said, adding “a lot of the deep sea is sort of like you know you can think of it as a desert. We just found an oasis in that desert.”

On its journey, Hercules took pictures of its surroundings, made maps and collected samples, including organisms living inside the volcano and even reaching inside the volcano?s bubbling plume to gather materials, ABC TV said.

It said such discoveries on Ballard’s trip could allow scientists to better understand the threats posed by underwater volcanic eruptions.

“And there’s no reason to stop, there’s 72 per cent of the planet hardly explored. I like to tell children that their generation is the generation that will explore more of earth than all previous generations combined,” Ballard said.

Submarine volcanoes are underwater vents or fissures in the Earth‘s surface from which magma can erupt. They are estimated to account for 75% of annual magma output. The vast majority are located near areas of tectonic plate movement, known as ocean ridges. Although most are located in the depths of seas and oceans, some also exist in shallow water, which can spew material into the air during an eruption. Hydrothermal vents, sites of abundant biological activity, are commonly found near submarine volcanoes.

The presence of water can greatly alter the characteristics of a volcanic eruption and the explosions made by these. For instance, the increased thermal conductivity of water causes magma to cool and solidify much more quickly than in a terrestrial eruption, often turning it into a volcanic glass. Below ocean depths of about 2200 metres where the pressure exceeds 218 atmospheres, the critical pressure of water, it can no longer boil; it becomes a supercritical fluid. Without boiling sounds, deep-sea volcanoes are difficult to detect at great distances using hydrophones.

The lava formed by submarine volcanoes is quite different from terrestrial lava. Upon contact with water, a solid crust forms around the lava. Advancing lava flows into this crust, forming what is known as pillow lava.

Scientists still have much to learn about the location and activity of underwater volcanoes. The Kolumbo underwater volcano in the Aegean Sea was discovered in 1650 when it burst from the sea and erupted, killing 70 people on the nearby island of Santorini. More recently, NOAA’s Office of Ocean Exploration has funded exploration of submarine volcanoes, with the Ring of Fire missions to the Mariana Arc in the Pacific Ocean being particularly noteworthy. Using Remote Operated Vehicles, scientists studied underwater eruptions, ponds of molten sulfur, black smoker chimneys and even marine life adapted to this deep, hot environment.

Many submarine volcanoes are seamounts, typically extinct volcanoes that rise abruptly from a seafloor of 1,000 – 4,000 meters depth. They are defined by oceanographers as independent features that rise to at least 1,000 meters above the seafloor. The peaks are often found hundreds to thousands of meters below the surface, and are therefore considered to be within the deep sea.^[1] An estimated 30,000 seamounts occur across the globe, with only a few having been studied. However, some seamounts are also unusual. For example, while the summits of seamounts are normally hundreds of meters below sea level, the Bowie Seamount in Canada’s Pacific waters rises from a depth of about 3,000 meters to within 24 meters of the sea surface.

A seamount is a mountain rising from the ocean seafloor that does not reach to the water’s surface (sea level), and thus is not an island. These are typically formed from extinct volcanoes, that rise abruptly and are usually found rising from the seafloor to 1,000-4,000 metres (3,000-13,000 ft) in height. Because of their large numbers, many seamounts remain to be properly studied, and even mapped. Bathymetry and satellite altimetry are two technologies working to close the gap. There have been instances where naval vessels have collided with uncharted seamounts; for example, Muirfield Seamount is named after the ship that struck it in 1973. However, the greatest danger from seamounts are flank collapses; as they get older, extrusions seeping in the seamounts put pressure on their sides, causing landslides that have the potential to generate massive tsunamis.

Revelation 8:7 – The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Revelation 8:7 does not mix frozen hailstones with fire.  It mixes large volcanic bombs (hail) and fiery blood-red lava.  I believe what John witnessed was a worldwide pattern of volcanic eruptions around the edges of the tectonic plates.  This verse is a perfect description of a chain of volcanic eruptions.  As the volcanic bombs (hail) are thrown great distances from the caldera vents, fires are started, and as the fiery lava moves across the surface of the earth it burns up everything in its path.  I challenge you to view films of an actual eruption and then not believe this is what John saw in his vision from God.  (See Birth Pang 3)

Revelation 8:8,9 – And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; [9] And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

A fuller, more descriptive, rendering of part of this verse from “The Bible in Basic English,” Dutton, 1950, Cambridge Press, is as follows:  “It was as if a great mountain burning with fire had been cast into the sea.”  Again, I believe the great fiery mountain that suddenly appeared in the sea would naturally have been assumed to come from above to the one abruptly seeing it there (See Archives – Birth Pang 4).  This was the first of thousands that will be rapidly appearing along the plate borders of the tectonic plates, building up from the ocean sea floors to break the sea surface.  The resultant action of rapid heating of the ocean above these volcanic vents will discolor one-third of the sea water into a murky rusty-red maze of aquatic death by the smothering effect of the basaltic hematite oxidation, and generate an ocean wide population explosion of dinoflagellate, which will produce deadly red tide.  (See Birth Pang 4)

The earthquakes and volcanic eruptions on the ocean and sea floors will produce the collapse and/or rise of segments of the ocean sea floor, and some massive sliding of parts of the coastal land mass into the oceans.  And these actions will produce hundreds of Tsunami waves along those coastal areas of the world that have an abruptly rising coastline.  (See Archives – Birth Pang 5)  Furthermore, I assure you when the massive shifting of the tectonic plates begins, then this seismic wave action would destroy any ships in port.  At any given time about two-thirds of the world’s shipping is under way on the open sea, and one-third is in port.  The one third in port will be utterly destroyed by gigantic Tsunami waves like the coastal residents of the world have never seen.

An astounding pulse of destruction and growth at an underwater volcano north of New Zealand has provided a new insight into the behaviour of submarine mountains. The Monowai seamount, which lies at the intersection of the Pacific and Indo-Australian tectonic plates at the Tonga-Kermadec subduction zone, underwent one of the fastest episodes of volcano growth documented on Earth. It added about 8.75 million cubic metres of rock to its summit – a volume equal to 3500 Olympic-size swimming pools – in just five days. New lava flows raised that area by 79.1 metres, while part of the volcano’s summit collapsed by as much as 18.8 metres. Most striking was the creation of an entirely new volcanic cone.  The changes were measured by crew aboard the research vessel Sonne who had set out on a routine mapping expedition in the South Pacific last autumn. Their findings have been published online in the journal Nature Geoscience. The article’s authors include GNS Science geologist and geochemist Cornel de Ronde. As they surveyed the seafloor near Monowai seamount in mid-May 2011 the crew noticed yellow-green water and gas bubbles rising above the volcano. As the ship was leaving the area, near Tonga, it went through a patch of discoloured water with a strong smell, like rotten eggs, Oxford University geologist Anthony Watts said. While the ship was surveying another area, a seismic station in the Cook Islands detected an intense five-day swarm of seismic activity and traced it to an eruption at Monowai seamount, MSNBC reported. Watts and the ship returned in early June to find that part of the Monowai volcano had collapsed and another part had grown in dramatic fashion. The new material lifting the peak was most likely magma that had erupted and hardened the week before, Watts, who led the study, said. The rapid changes at Monowai suggest that the volcano grows and collapses in dramatic pulses. Submarine volcanoes such as Monowai were much more difficult to study than volcanoes on land. Because so little was known about submarine volcanoes, it was unclear whether others also grew in rapid pulses, Watts said. Only Vesuvius and Mount St Helens have recorded larger growth rates. The paper said the speed of growth and change was “a reminder of how rapidly geological processes such as submarine landsliding and volcanism can occur”.  “Any movement on the seabed has the potential to create a tsunami.

Israel and US hold large-scale joint missile defense drill

Some 1,000 US troops arrive in Israel to participate in exercise held every two years, said designed to test joint response to missile attacks.

The Israeli and American armies were to begin a joint drill in Israel on Sunday, to test the two nations’ missile defense systems.  Some 1,000 American soldiers have arrived in Israel for the drill, Israel Radio reported.

The drill, code-named Juniper Cobra, is held every two years and is designed to test the joint Israel-American military responses to missile attacks, the radio said. Israel’s central missile defense system, the Iron Dome, is jointly funded by the United States.

General Eyal Eizenberg, who heads the Home Front Command, last week issued a reminder that the Home Front would be a prime target for Israel’s enemies during any conflict.

Speaking during an IDF drill, Eizenberg said that the enemy understood that what it did not launch in the open salvo of a conflict would not be an option as time went by. The enemy would try to paralyze Israel and demoralize its citizens using any weapons available, Israel Radio quoted him as saying, in order to achieve a ceasefire that would rule out an Israeli counter-offensive.

The Home Front, warned Eizenberg, is the second front in any war and central to the enemy attack.

Both Hezbollah and Hamas use missile strikes on Israeli civilian population centers as a key strategy during conflict. In the 2006 Second Lebanon War, Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets a day at Israeli targets, primarily in the north, but reaching as far south as Hadera.

In the IDF’s Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza in November 2012, Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups fired rockets at Israel, some reaching as far as the Tel Aviv region. Gaza has also been a launch site for regular rocket attacks on the parts of southern Israel close to its border.

“One of the main reasons I wrote three books on prophecy in the late seventies and early eighties was to establish a case advocated by teachers of the pre-World War II era.  It was, simply stated, that man would not destroy the earth with his weaponry, but rather that God would destroy the earth by the use of this own power.  I am certain that the horrifying changes in the topography of Israel, as well as the terrifying destruction of the antichrist’s forces at Armageddon, are by the awesome power of God, not nuclear bombs.  The lifting of the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem, the breaking up of Jerusalem into three sections, the splitting of the Mount of Olives, and the consuming of the flesh, tongues, and eyes of the antichrist’s men are natural phenomena unleashed by God, not by man.  All the Scriptures dealing with these phenomena unleashed by God are covered in Birth Pang and Prophecy Archives.

There are many advocates of a great atomic war in Israel when the antichrist attacks 1260 days before Armageddon.  So why am I so confident and outspoken about this being the case?

Israel has numerous extremely well concealed missile sites in the Negev between Beersheba and the Gulf of Aqabah.

(1) It has some 300 nuclear, chemical, and biological warheads to mount on Jericho missiles.

(2) The Jericho is a very accurate missile, and can hit a target in any Islamic country from Morocco to Pakistan and from Turkey to Yemen.

(3) Israel has an excellent anti-missile defense to protect its array of silos, warheads, and missiles.  It is able to pick up an incoming enemy missile launched from Syria before it reaches it maximum altitude.

(4) So why do I believe this array of WMD will not be unleashed by Israel when it is attacked?  Because the Israeli War Contingency Plan of Israel directs that WMD will not be launched against a foreign nation unless they are first launched against Israel.

(5) So how do I know the Islamic countries will not launch WMD in their initial attack?  All of them are well aware of what is listed in (1) through (5)!  The former Soviet Union, when it existed, shared Israeli intelligence information with Syria, which it collected over a long period of time from its hundreds of spy satellites it launched from pads between Moscow and the White Sea, and on the eastern side of the Aral Sea.  Syria, in turn, has shared it with some of the other Islamic countries around Israel.  Only a leader possessed of rank insanity would ever launch WMD first against Israel, which is why I was so relieved when Saddam Hussein was taken out of the way.

Many believe the United States will quickly rush to the aid of Israel, and, as the world’s greatest power, will immediately deliver her from any kind of attack she can’t handle.  There are two problems with this idea:  (1) The United States believes Israel can defeat any Islamic attack on its own without any help from us.  After all, Israel has easily done so in three previous wars and, (2) This will be a lightning Jihad, and better coordinated than any of the previous wars, and this time Israel will have a Palestinian state attacking it from within, while the other Islamic nations come in from outside its borders.  It will probably last less than 2 months, and Jerusalem will fall during that period.  By the time we decide they must have our help it will be too late, because they will have occupied most of the land from Dan to Beersheba.  It would take months, as it did in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Freedom Iraq, to get enough American troops on the ground to do any good.

What was the character of Israel’s past three wars?  They were all very short in duration, and they all ended abruptly in a truce.  That will be the case in this war.  The United States knows that the Negev is the place where Israel will flee.  When we believe they are safely in the Negev, we will be more than willing to accept a truce to give us time to think about what to do, and Israel will remain trapped in the Negev for some three and one-half years.

When Obama was elected President, and then after observing his passive attitude and reaction when dialoging with, and reacting to, actions with Islam, Russia, and China, I am even more convinced now that my viewpoint stands an excellent chance of being correct.

WHEN ISRAEL IS SUDDENLY VISIOUSLY ATTACKED IN A SURPRISE LIGHTNING JIHAD BLITZKRIEG FROM ITS NORTH, WHY DOESN’T THE U.S. ATTACK THE ISLAMIC GROUP OF NATIONS THAT ARE ATTACKING HER?

This is a question I have been asked over and over again for a long time.  I was asked again on e-mail recently, and this time, rather than answering the query privately, I decided to make it a prophecy update, so that that in future I could just attach this update to any new query and save myself repeating it again.

The one thing that I learned in the National Security Agency which has been, is, and always will be the motivating factor in any decision made by any country, including the United States, may be simply stated in two words: NATIONAL INTEREST.  Many will cry out and say, not so, we did it for humanitarian reasons, we did it to secure justice, we did it out of compassion, we did it out of love, we did it because we love freedom, we did it because we are a great nation: and on and on shall come statements from every realm of society, from “bleeding” liberal hearts to the “hardened” hearts of the extreme right, all giving different reasons as to why this country did something.  But the truth of the matter is that, in the end, we always did it for what amounted to NATIONAL INTEREST.

The United States has quick response attack naval and marine forces in position at all times to put down a banana republic type of minor conflict on short notice.  But in order to conduct a successful operation again a Jihad the magnitude of the coming attack of many nations against Israel, we would require some time to get enough regular ground troops in place to have a real hope of victory.  It took us a very long time to get enough men and equipment into the Middle East to insure success in our victory against Iraq.  The Scriptures indicate that 10 Islamic nations will be led by the Antichrist, and that they will quickly take Jerusalem and drive Israel into the Negev.  When Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran come pouring southward on both sides of the Samarian mountains, and the Palestinians break out in all directions internally from within the enclosed buffer zone, chaos will reign supreme from Dan to Beersheba.  There will be so much inner mingling of the attack forces of Israel and those of the enemy with the fleeing civilian population that air strikes would kill as many on one side as the other.  Since the U.S. is fully aware of the Israel War Contingency Plan to evacuate as much of the population as possible to the Negev if overrun from the north, it will set in shock and indecision until it is too late to do anything except help to evacuate some of the coastal population from Tel Aviv to Haifa into the Negev, and to air lift supplies into the Negev.  The aircraft of the Islamic nations will be under orders not to fire on western power’s aircraft unless fired upon, because the one thing they will not want is for the U.S. to get actively engaged with them in an all out war.  Once Israel has evacuated as much of its population into the Negev as possible, and the U.S. sees that the Arabs are not going past Beersheba, we will accept the status quo as best for all.
