Gap Theory Phases of the Earth

I accepted the Gap Theory long before I came to the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, Arkansas. It has been around since Hector was a pup. I attended the original Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in the late forties and early fifties while Dr. Bogard was still living, and entered my military and National Security Agency career in 1951. I was first exposed to the Gap Theory in Merrill Unger’s Bible Handbook before I retired from the NSA. So it was no great leap for me to listen attentively to what was taught concerning it while I was a student at the seminary

Merrill Frederick Unger (1909–1980) was a Bible commentator, scholar, and theologian. He earned his A.B. and Ph.D degrees at Johns Hopkins University, and his Th.M and Th.D degrees at Dallas Theological Seminary. After serving as a pastor at several churches, Unger taught for a year at Gordon College. For the next 19 years, until 1967 – at which time he became professor emeritus, Unger was professor of Old Testament studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. Unger was a prolific writer who authored some 40 books many of which are well received in Christian colleges and seminaries. Unger was also a well known Biblical archaeologist.

I again wish to state what I have said over and over again in this series – the Gap Theory is just what the name implies, it is a THEORY, no more and no less, but Genesis 1:1 is, in my opinion, it is best of several others I have considered. I am only certain Genesis 1:1 is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

I do not believe man evolved. I believe he was created on a single day, the sixth day of a restoring of the original creation of God in Genesis 1:1, which became necessary when the Devil rebelled against the Lord by attempting to mutate His own life forms in the original creation.

I believe there have been two great floods on the present earth that God originally created, the flood of Noah’s time, and the flood of Genesis 1:2a.

Genesis 1:2 – And the earth was (hayethah-became) without form (tohu), and void (bohu); and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

As I have shown in previous updates, the first sentence in 1:2 states what the earth had become as a result of Satan attempting to manipulate God’s original creation of 1:1. The word “deep” is a noun that means “abyss,” and refers to the bottom of a great flood God has sent upon the earth to destroy Satan’s creation, and the “face” of that great flood is the surface of its waters that cover all the earth. The second sentence of 1:2 – “And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters,” pictures God hovering over the surface of the waters, which he used to destroy land creatures because of a Lucifer Led Angelic Rebellion. . It is the picture an artist would portray by painting a portrait of a chicken hovering over her eggs to give protection and her warmth to produce new life from her eggs she originally laid. This is the announcement of what is about to follow in the rest of the first chapter of Genesis, which is a literal six day restoration of the original creation of God in Genesis 1:1 that had been marred by God due to the rebellion led by of Satan. The first great flood in the Bible is not the flood in Noah’s day, it is the great flood of Genesis 1:2 that covered all the land surface of the original perfect creation of God.

God doss not create something for mankind to dwell on by initially creating it as tohu and bohu (a wild desolate chaotic waste). However, God has, from time to time made changes in his original perfect heavens and his earth when angels or mankind have rebelled against him. The first rebellion was when some of his angels chose to follow Satan. Mankind has also challenged God’s authority by exceeding the limits of his longsuffering several times. The second rebellion was when mankind exceeded the limits of God’s longsuffering.

Isaiah 45:18 – For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath estabkished it, HE CREATED IT NOT IN VAIN (TOHU), he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD, and there IS NONE ELSE. (There is a difference between “Lord” and “LORD).

In each case God has made earth uninhabitable because of rebellion against his commandments, and then restored it to make it habitable for mankind.

The earth has gone, and will continue to go through, phases of God’s dealing with it since he originally created it. They are as follows:

(1) God created the Original Earth – Genesis 1:1

(2) God made earth waste due to Devil’s Rebellion – Genesis 1:2

(3) God Reshaped and refurbished His Earth – Genesis 1:3-31

(4) Earth Cursed by God due to Man’s Rebellion – Genesis 6:17,18

(5) The Flood of Noah’s Day – Genesis 7:23,24

(6) The Present Earth Restored – Genesis 8:13 and 9:15

(7) Earth burned by God for Man’s Rebellion – II Peter 3:3-9

(8) Christ’s 2nd Advent and 1000 Year on Earth – Zechariah 14:9

(9) Physical Earth’s Final Destruction by God – Revelation 20:7-10

(10) God creates the final Spiritual Heaven & Earth – II Peter 3:10-14

(11) Where there will be NO MORE TOHU OR BOHU FOREVER

I believe that God created the earth billions of years ago. I do not know, nor can I estimate, when Satan first rebelled against God, but I believe a great gap of time exists between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2b, and I also believe that the re-creation by God from Genesis 1:3 onwards was done in six literal days, not over long periods of time. Please note in Genesis 7:19-24 that only the land based creatures were totally wiped out in the great flood of Noah’s day. The same was true in the first great flood of Genesis 1:2, only the creatures dependant upon “the face of the ground” for their life survival were destroyed.

Genesis 7:23 – And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

The sea creatures were not all destroyed completely in either of the two floods. God did create (bara’) great whales in the seas in his re-creation. It is interesting that whales are mammals. It appears that the creatures of the oceans were not all destroyed by the Genesis 1:2 flood, and that many, along with some birds that were able to survive the flood, were allowed by God to bring “forth abundantly, after their kind,” in order to once again repopulate their domains.

Genesis 1:21 – And God created (bara’) great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

This would explain why fossil replicas of fish from the pre-Genesis 1:2b flood were discovered, which perfectly match their descendant species in the oceans of today. These fish fossils that match were found in areas of the earth’s land mass that were once joined together, but tore apart at the time of Satan’s rebellion against God between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2. If you will take world map and look at the protruding northeastern part of the South American continent, then shift your eyes across the Atlantic to view the area of greatest curvature in the western coastline of Africa, you will see how the two continents were once joined together into a single land mass. The identical fish fossils from the pre-flood of Genesis 1:2b are found in Africa and South America where they once joined together. They were separated when the earth began to break apart from being a single dry land mass at the time of Satan’s rebellion against God, who created the single dry landmass in Genesis 1:1. Geologists have named the first landmass of Genesis 1:1 “Pangaea,” which means “all lands.”

The development of plate tectonics principles in the twentieth century brought a sweeping change in our understanding of the original earth. It was a century in which we ran across, under, and above the earth, and it was a time when the most fantastic increase in human understanding of the earth and the universe occurred, an acceleration that is beyond belief. Now, in these last days of this age, we can understand many of the tenets of God’s creation that Moses, and those traveling with him, were not able to grasp in their day, which is the reason God gave them a very simple account they could accept, but left a fuller understanding in the linguistic account for us to understand in these last days.

Daniel 12:4 – But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Soon after the first truly reliable world maps were made, geographers noticed that the continents would fit together like a jigsaw puzzle if they could be moved, but the idea of a mobile crust was not considered until the knowledge explosion occurred in the early twentieth century. As a certified meteorologist, I became familiar with the work of another man who was my peer in meteorology, Alfred Wegener, a meteorologist who accepted the theory first advanced in 1908 by American geologist Frank B. Taylor. The German, Alfred Wegener, gave the first reasonable explanation of why plate tectonics was valid, by pointing out the similarities in the fossils found on the coastlines of northeastern Brazil and central sections of the western coast of Africa. His evidence was published in a 1915 book with the title, “The Origins of Continents and Oceans.” Warner believed that the continents light granite rock somehow plowed above the denser basalts of the ocean sea floors, driven by forces related to the rotation of the earth. His theory was not proven until our “running to and fro” on the ocean sea floor (since the end of World War II), enabled us, by the development of seismic tomography (created by the earthquake waves passing through the earth), to see the cracks in the world’s crust. Then the technology needed to track the historical magnetic paths of polar wandering through magnetic patterns in the rock strata reversals on the ocean and sea floors was developed, and we were finally able to accept the tectonic drift of the continents over a long period of time to be a fact, rather than just a theory. The dinosaurs, and their fellow land creatures, lived in the age that followed the fall of Satan in Genesis 1:2. their extinction occurred abruptly in the flood of Genesis 1:2b, after having flourished for millions of years. Genesis 1:3 is the beginning of the description of a literal six day restoration of the fallen creation following the flood of Genesis 1:2a.

Genesis 1:1-3 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [2] And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [3] And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

I am beginning to wonder if I will ever complete this series, but, Lord willing, I will eventually finish. I don’t know if I really want to take the time to go through the re-creation verses line by line, but if I feel inclined to do so it will eventually appear in future Parts, if I feel up to it, I may discuss the earth’s age theory of Bishop Ussher in the next creation Part. I believe his theory first appeared some 23 years after the 1611 edition of the King James Bible, and, if correct, would have the earth reaching an age of 6,016 years in 2012.

The Gap Theory Flood and the Age of the Earth

Up until the time that Bishop Ussher, in about 1634, added up the genealogical dates in the fifth chapter of Genesis, and gave them as proof that the earth was created in 4004 B.C., people did not particularly care how long the earth had existed. They just read the first Scripture in the Bible, and believed it. That satisfies me, but it does not seem enough for a number of people, so I have given you an account of what I believe concerning the how and the when of creation, as I interpret it from the account in Genesis. However, what I consider important is that God created the earth, not when and how he did it.

Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

It is highly unlikely that God intended to wait until 1634 to reveal the age of the earth to an Irish Archbishop named James Ussher. I don’t believe that the genealogical ages from Seth to Noah were intended, or can be used, for calculating the age of the earth. The Hebrew words used for “son,” “daughter,” and “begat,” may involve a distant or an immediate descendant. Merrill Unger, in his “Bible Handbook,” gives several reasons why one should not use Bishop Ussher’s calculated age of the earth as factual. They are quoted as follows:

(1) The Hebrew terms “begat,” “son,” “daughter,” are used with great latitude. They may involve a distant as well as an immediate descendant.”
(2) The ten generations from Adam to Noah and the ten from Noah evidently aim at brevity and symmetry, rather than unbroken father-to-son relation.
(3) Abbreviations due to symmetry are common features of Scripture genealogies (as in the first chapter of Matthew).

• In the recurring formula: A lived ____ years and begat sons and daughters, and A lived after he begat B ____ years and begat sons and daughters, B may not be the literal son of A. (the identical Hebrew word “ben” is used for son, grandson, great-grandson, great-great-grandson, adinfinitim). The age of A is his age when his descendant was born from whom B was descended. So an indefinite time interval may therefore be intended between A and B

• Believe me when I tell you I have heard all the arguments that come from cross referencing Old Testament and New Testament genealogies in an attempt to prove man was created in 4004 B.C. And I have tried to be open and honest with God and myself in attempting to discover from the Scriptures exactly when Adam was created on this planet. I cannot tell you from the Scriptures when Adam was created. All I can do is to give you an estimate based on what I have seen in the fossil record of what I believe to be the descendants of Adam, and the latitude I believe allowed by God without violating the linguistics of the Scripture. I approximate, estimate, just plain guess, that God created Adam in the Garden of Eden some 25 to 30 thousand years ago. But if you believe God created Adam in 4004 B.C., I will certainly admit you might be correct. And if you do believe that the earth is only 6,007 years old, I have no problem with it. But if you tell me that God did not create the earth, or that he did not create Adam on the sixth day, or that he created Adam by a process of evolution from lower life forms, then I violently disagree with you.

• The flood that closed the age of the dinosaurs, and their cold-blooded epic of geological time, occurred in the final sentence of Genesis 1:2.
Genesis 1:2 – And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

I have taught for 40 years that a fantastic earthquake would occur along the New Madrid fault between Seal 6 and Vial 7 in Revelation. I believe it is likely to occur on Trumpet 7, which is the same as the Last Trumpet in I Corinthians 15.

Why Is Wal-Mart Preparing For A Major Earthquake On The New Madrid Fault?

Buried in a Wall Street Journal article from about a week ago was a startling piece of information. According to a Wal-Mart executive, Wal-Mart participated in an exercise to prepare for an earthquake on the New Madrid fault line earlier this summer. And officials at the U.S. Geological Survey have just released a report which indicates that they believe that the New Madrid fault zone has the potential for larger and more powerful quakes than previously thought. So should we be concerned? Do they know something that we don’t? The USGS also says that the frequency of earthquakes in the central and eastern portions of the United States has quintupled over the past 30 years, and that significant earthquakes have started popping up in areas of the country

Most Americans don’t realize this, but the most powerful earthquakes in U.S. history did not happen in California. Rather, they actually occurred along the New Madrid Fault zone in 1811 and 1812. Documents from that time indicate that those earthquakes were so powerful that they were felt more than 1,000 miles away.

If you are not familiar with it, the New Madrid fault zone covers parts of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi. If an earthquake similar to the quakes of 1811 and 1812 were to happen today, it would destroy structures all the way up to the Great Lakes and all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico.

That is why it is so alarming that Wal-Mart is actively preparing for a major earthquake along the New Madrid Fault. The following is from the Wall Street Journal article that I mentioned above.

Walmart Stores Inc., with its huge network of stores and facilities, has also taken note. We are seeing increased earthquake activity in the central U.S. That is an area we are focusing on even more, said Mark Cooper, senior director of emergency management at Walmart, in an interview. He explained that Walmart takes an all-hazard approach to emergency preparedness, but focuses on specific risks in areas of the country where those risks are particularly relevant, such as hurricanes in Louisiana. A few weeks ago, we participated in an exercise to prepare for an earthquake on the New Madrid fault line, he said.

And that Wal-Mart executive is absolutely correct. Earthquake activity in the central part of the country is increasing. In fact, as I mentioned above, it has quintupled over the past 30 years.

According to the USGS, the frequency of earthquakes in the central and eastern U.S. has quintupled, to an average of 100 a year during the 2011-2013 period, up from only 20 per year during the 30-year period to 2000.

Most of these quakes were minor, but research published by the USGS earlier this year demonstrated that a relatively minor magnitude 5.0 quake caused by wastewater injection after conventional oil drilling triggered a much bigger, 5.7 magnitude quake in Prague, Okla.

We know the hazard has increased for small and moderate size earthquakes. We don’t know as well how much the hazard has increased for large earthquakes. Our suspicion is it has but we are working on understanding this, said William Ellsworth, a scientist with the USGS.

The USGS has also specifically identified the New Madrid fault zone as an area to watch.

The mid-west region is preparing for earthquakes that are bigger and more powerful than ever believed imaginable.
The U.S. Geological Survey updated their seismic hazards map last week, and in it, Kentucky is listed as one of 16 states at highest risk of earthquakes.

USGS says the New Madrid Fault, which runs through a number of mid-western states, has been identified as an area that has potential for larger and more powerful quakes than previously thought.

Hopefully it won’t happen any time soon, but a massive earthquake along the New Madrid fault has the potential to be extraordinarily destructive. One New Madrid earthquake in 1812 was so powerful that it rang church bells up in Boston and toppled chimneys up in Canada.

Accounts of the 1812 quake vary since there were no measuring instruments at the time, but most geologists say evidence shows it was at least a magnitude 8 earthquake, and possibly a 9 or higher.

The shaking was so intense that church bells started ringing as far away as Boston and New York.

Chimneys toppled from the Deep South to Canada, and President James Madison was awoken by the violent shaking as he slept in the White House.
Eyewitnesses said it even caused the Mississippi River to flow backwards for a time.

At that time, the New Madrid region was sparsely populated. But today, tens of millions of people live there, and most buildings have not been built to withstand massive earthquakes.

According to ABC News, a study by the Mid-America Earthquake Center discovered that even a magnitude 7.7 earthquake would cause incredible amounts of damage. The study concluded that nearly 750,000 buildings would be damaged, 3,000 bridges would potentially collapse, 400,000 breaks and leaks to local pipelines and $300 billion in direct damage and $600 billion in indirect losses would occur.

So what would a magnitude 8 or a magnitude 9 earthquake look like?
And most people don’t realize that there are 15 nuclear reactors along the New Madrid fault zone. In the event of a major earthquake, we could have multiple Fukushimas all going on at the same time.

Let us hope that it is a very long time before a disaster such as this strikes.
But as I mentioned above, earthquake activity in the central part of the country has increased dramatically in recent years.

And Wal-Mart is so concerned that it actually participated in an exercise to prepare for an earthquake on the New Madrid fault line just a few weeks ago.
So let us hope for the best, but let us also not be blind to the warnings signs all around us.

Tectonic Chaos – Chapter 10 – The Worst Worsens

In the previous nine chapters I have expounded on numerous Scriptures concerning massive, worldwide, drastic changes, which will occur in the geological structure of the earth during the tribulation period. That a great shaking of the earth would one day occur, has been a prophetic cry of the Old and New Testament writers since time began, from the time of the song of Moses to the book of Revelation.

Deuteronomy 32:22 – For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. (increase = earth’s crops and vegetation – the tectonic plates are the foundations of the mountains).

This Song of Moses prophecy will be fulfilled between the sixth seal and the seventh vial of God’s wrath.

Revelation 6:12 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; (First great earthquake in Revelation)

Revelation 16:16-21 – And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. [17] And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. [18] And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. [19] And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. [20] And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. [21] And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great. Rather than my continuing to comment at this time, let me encourage you to simply read the following Scriptures to see if they do not picture the planet racked with seismic waves (tsunami) from ocean sea floor eruptions and earthquakes – an earth ravaged with chains of fiery volcanic eruptions along the tectonic plate boundaries – an earth shaken by worldwide earthquakes along the same boundaries – an atmosphere filled with volcanic cloud particles that causes the visibility of the sun, moon, and stars to be drastically affected – an earth that has been so shifted in internal and external weight distribution that its axis spin and rotational orbit around the sun are both affected, and consequently it is shifted slightly out of its present orbital path, while its 24 hour axis rotation period is also slightly staggered – and, finally, a worldwide weather storm pattern that has gone wild because of the other changes.

Haggai 2:6,7 – For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; [7] And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.

Isaiah 13:9-13 – Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. [10] For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. [11] And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. [12] I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. [13] Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Ezekiel 38:19,20 – For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; [20] So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

Matthew 24:29,30 – Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Luke 21:11 – And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Isaiah 29:6 – Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

Matthew 24:21 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Revelation 6:12,13 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; [13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

Luke 21:25,26 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Revelation 8:5,12 – And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake. [12] And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

Revelation 11:13 – And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

The Israeli political left says that an agreement and compromise with the Palestinian Authority will destroy Hamas. In my opinion, it’s quite the opposite: Destroying the Hamas regime is a condition for a compromise agreement with the Palestinians.

It’s not a sufficient condition – there are many other conditions and moves (for example, freezing settlement construction instead of releasing Hamas terrorists) – but it is a necessary condition.

Israel can make Hamas collapse, but Israel doesn’t want it to collapse and has even declared so in advance. From this we can conclude that the existence of a “weakened” Hamas serves all kinds of interests, matches all kinds of outlooks, both personal and ideological, makes the political compromise unachievable and intensifies the suspiciousness and dissention.

Millions of Israelis are rightfully asking themselves: If all the Palestinians are like Hamas, how can we agree to withdraw from even one more kilometer? And the conclusion is: Let’s settle, let’s annex and let’s forget about the dreams.

Some believe Hamas is suffering from a youth revolt syndrome and is acting like an adolescent hooligan. The more it grows up, the more it will calm down, become domesticated, become tamed and make rational decisions. Rational, meaning decisions Israel would like it to make.

I see it as a false hope stemming from a deep misunderstanding of the reasons for Hamas’ existence as a fanatic Islamist military organization.

It’s not that Hamas is operating aimlessly. Its aim is to make the lives of both the Israelis and the Palestinians miserable and to increase the hatred between them up to the point of no return.

The big wave of terror attacks carried out by Hamas began shortly after the Oslo Accords, about 20 years ago, and was quite successful as far as the organization was concerned. Hundreds of Israelis were killed, the public lived in fear, radicalization spread and grew stronger, Israel’s prime minister was murdered and the realization of the agreement ran aground.

Since that wave of terror, our governments have sent the IDF on several operations aimed at weakening Hamas rather than, God forbid, eradicating it.

After every operation we hear that Hamas has been weakened, so much that it can now fire rockets at all parts of Israel and dig a network of tunnels which make the border fences look like a joke. It’s better not to think about what its current “weakening” will lead to.

Hamas’ big day – and Israel’s big missed opportunity – arrived when it took over the Gaza Strip. The takeover put Israel in danger and gave us a recognized international right to intervene and prevent the border area from turning into a terror compound.

But the Israeli government openly avoided that. It even avoided helping the Palestinian Authority, Gaza’s legitimate landlord. Why should we care that the Palestinians are fighting each other? It doesn’t concern us.

According to that same perception which has not changed since then, Israel doesn’t have to worry about who controls Gaza, but only about the type of weapons in Gaza. As if weapons fire on their own.

Accepting Hamas’ takeover of Gaza was a first-class strategic mistake. It got us entangled in every possible trouble, starting with Gaza turning into a rocket arsenal to the decision to impose an economic and environmental siege on the Strip, a siege which affected a poor and helpless population and is perceived in the world as a horrible crime. Even worse than the rockets. Hamas used the siege to justify its acts of war, including the latest one.

The Israeli government eventually began letting go of the siege, secretly, gradually, at an extent which wasn’t enough to create an economic perspective for Gaza’s residents. According to a public opinion poll conducted recently, Hamas has become much less popular than Fatah in Gaza. This is the motive and the explanation for its recent actions.

There is a fear that in the post-Hamas era, worse and more dangerous jihad forces will rise to power among the Palestinian public. They may indeed rise to power, but only if we fail to do anything to advance an agreement with the Palestinian Authority while eradicating the Hamas rule.

Thursday, July 24, the 17th day of the IDF’s Gaza operation, Israeli ministers were discussing a possible “humanitarian ceasefire” in IDF-Hamas hostilities, which could last up to five days. According to DEBKAfile’s military sources, it is Hamas which, behind its tough stance, is keen on a pause – and not just out of sudden concern for Gaza’s civilians. Its tacticians are desperate to only IDF unit with this armor.

Hamas has tried to stop these tanks with two kinds of advanced guided anti-tank missiles, the Russian Kornet-E, and the 9M113 Konkurs. But Windbreaker repels them and blows them all up.Wednesday July 23 the IDF deliberately placed brigade commander Col. Sa’ar Tzur, one of the outstanding commanders in Operation Protective Edge, before TV cameras, while standing in front of a Chariot-4 tank.

He spoke at length about the brigade’s unstoppable performance under anti-tank missile fire. Those missiles are blown up without penetrating the tanks’ armor, he said, and are powerless to slow their advance.

Hamas has found no answer for the Active Trophy defense system, any more than it has for the Iron Dome anti-missile defense batteries, which keep Israeli civilian populations safe from its rockets. Both systems are home-made, developed by Rafael advanced armed systems industries.

Hamas is not giving up, which is why it is holding out against a long ceasefire, but aiming for just enough time to come up with new stratagems, DEBKAfile’s military sources say.

This was the message conveyed in the statement Hamas leader Khaled Meshal made Wednesday July 23 in Qatar: He rejected a long-term ceasefire, but left the door open for a “humanitarian” pause.

While its forces have taken serious punishment, most of Hamas’ underground command and military infrastructure is still far from knocked out. But if the Israeli military decides to go for a decisive coup against those core facilities – defined by the Israeli security cabinet’s euphemism of “expanding the operation” – Hamas chiefs expect it to be spearheaded by a fleet of Chariot-4 tanks hurtling towards them behind the protection of their impenetrable “Windbreakers.”

To maintain any kind of draw with the IDF, Hamas stands in urgent need of two resources: 1) Technology for neutralizing the Windbreaker; and 2) Missiles able to pierce it.

While Khaled Meshal haggles with ceasefire brokers in Qatar, his agents are known to have appealed urgently to Tehran to find the weapons they need and deliver them at top speed to the Gaza Strip – possibly from Libya by the Iranian-terrorists’ arms smuggling route through Egypt.

A reference to this appeal was made in a comment by a senior military intelligence official Wednesday, when he disclosed that Iran had promised to rebuild Hamas’ military machine, including its rocket production and launch systems. Hamas and Tehran also broached the problem of the Chariot-4 armor. Both fully understood that unless it can be solved, Hamas may have no way of defending its high command and arsenal in their elaborately furnished underground bunkers.

US Secretary of State John Kerry has all these facts to hand, fed by a steady stream of intelligence from US informants in and over the battlefield. His efforts for a ceasefire are based on his perception that Israel has so far not managed to inflict a clear defeat on Hamas and needs to expand its operation to tip the scales.

He calculates that if Israel launches its final thrust, which has not yet been approved, it will not accept a ceasefire before achieving its goal, and this may take at least a week to ten days.

But if Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon hold off on Israel’s decisive attack, then negotiations can start for a truce of some kind, while both sides size up their respective situations and decide whether or not it is to their advantage.

The principle of al-Taqiyya

“Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish through lying because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible…and obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory.”– Abu Hammid Ghazali

“Allah’s Apostle said, “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, “O Allah’s Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?” The Prophet said, “Yes,” Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). “The Prophet said, “You may say it.” – Hadith 5.59.369

The principle and uses of skillful lying

The root word “taqiyya” means to protect against or conceal. As you might gather from the quotes above, the principle of al-Taqiyya is the Islamic justification for lying and deceiving. Al-Taqiyya is drawn explicitly from the words of Muhammad, and from the examples he and his successors set.

The Qur’an and other Islamic books condone lying, but they also praise truth-telling. Assuming for the moment these contradictory exhortations intend some salient point (a true assumption considering the principle in question), and assuming one principle hasn’t abrogated the other, approved lying must have a context. That is exactly what Islamic scholars say is the case.

Situations or purposes for which Islamic scholars collectively judge it to be permissible to lie include the following: to reconcile arguments, to settle family disputes, to settle arguments specifically with wives or women, to safeguard one’s “innocent” life (i.e., not for criminals on trial), to protect the lives of other Muslims, to defend one’s honor, to succeed in jihad or combat, and to spread the practice of Islam.

With the admission that Muslims may lie under many circumstances, trusting a Muslim involves a higher than average degree of risk. We’ll get into that later, but recognize that statements like the following only affirm that impression:

“It is not mandatory to practice it (al-Taqiyya) at all times; on the contrary, it is permissible, and sometimes necessary, to abandon it (al-Taqiyya) altogether; as in the case where revealing the truth will further the cause of the religion, and provide a direct service to Islam;”- al-Shaykh Muhammad Ridha al-Mudhaffar

In other words, ‘You don’t have to lie all the time; it’s okay, and even useful, to sometimes tell the truth’.

Not exactly a Sermon on the Mount-caliber message.

At what point is it permissible to start lying?

One point of contention between different Islamic sects is the stress point at which certain situations merit lying. It seems all Islamic sects agree that deception is good if it’s done to promote Islam. Yet concerning lesser matters, interpretations vary.

The Shi’a sect, for example, boasts of requiring a certain threshold of adversity before lying is justified. One Shi’a writer puts it “that Taqiyya must be practiced only when there is a definite danger which cannot be avoided and against which there is no hope of a successful struggle and victory.”

The Shi’a writer contrasts the Wahhabi threshold as being not nearly as high. Perhaps the Sunni threshold is included among the higher ones, at least in terms of not denying the faith, as Wikipedia records:

Sunnis believe that God decides when someone is going to die. Therefore, they believe it is wrong to deny the faith in order to escape torture or death. By contrast, the Shi’a and some Sunnis believe that life is a gift from God and should be preserved…preservation of life takes precedence over anything else…

The web site al-Islam.org adds this Iranian perspective on when al-Taqiyya can and cannot be invoked:

Imam Khomeini in his book, “Islamic Government,” also presents his view on al-Taqiyya. He believes that al-Taqiyya is permitted only when one’s life is jeopardized. Whereas in cases wherein the religion of Allah, Islam, is in danger, it is not permitted even if it leads to one’s death;

A curious trend emerges after reading enough of these Islamic interfaith discussions. Groups which have the most lenient threshold for al-Taqiyya, i.e., would be the quickest to lie, seem to be the ones that are more tolerant of non-Muslims. They also appear more willing to work with the West. The Sunni-based organization CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) might be an example of such a group.

However, Islamic groups or sects with the strictest thresholds, i.e., are least quick to condone lying, are the more intolerant and western-hating practitioners of Islam. Shia-dominant Iran might be of an example of this. Their President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the last string of Ayatollahs have certainly not been the kind of persons one has had to goad, “Tell me what you really think.”

It all begs the question, “In dealing with Islam, should we feel more comfortable dealing with… A.) Those most-likely-to-lie-to-us groups or persons who say they want to be our friends, or … B.) Those most-likely-to-tell-us-the-truth groups or persons who say they want us wiped off the face of the earth?”Answer that question well and maybe you should run for President.

The practice of hudna

Hudna is an Arabic term that technically translates into “calm” or “truce”, as in a truce struck between two warring nations. But a hudna is not just any truce or ceasefire. A hudna is a “tactical truce” that has it’s beginnings with Muhammad:

In the year 628 AD, when surmising that his [Mohammed’s] forces were too weak to overcome the rival Kuraysh tribes, the Prophet Mohammed concluded a ten-year truce accord with the Kuraysh. This agreement became known as the Hudaybiyya Accord, after the place where it was signed. Yet, less than two years later, having consolidated their power, the Muslim forces attacked the Kuraysh tribes and defeated them, allowing Mohammed to conquer the city of Mecca.

Since that time, the term Hudna has been understood by Muslims as a tactical cease-fire that is intended only to allow a shift the balance of power. Once the balance of power has shifted, and the groundwork has been laid for a Muslim victory, the truce can then be broken.

Hudna is the battlefield or political application of al-Taqiyya. It’s purpose is to give the illusion of desiring peace while actively masking a rethinking, regrouping, or rearming when faced with a superior opponent. The above citation was from EmbassyofIsrael.org, obviously experienced in the typical course of Islamic ceasefires. Here is one from Omdurman.org on the same subject affirming a kind of deception that is fundamental to Islam:

What is being touted as a ‘cease-fire’ is something called a ‘hudna.’ A hudna [also known as a hudibiyya or khudaibiya] is a tactical cease-fire that allows the Arabs to rebuild their terrorist infrastructure in order to be more effective when the “cease-fire” is called off.

The awful short of it all

The acceptance among Muslims that lying is permissible, encouraged, sometimes obligatory, and diversely applied, means one should be more cautious than usual when considering to trust them. I know that’s a horrible blanket charge to make against any group of people. It’s only tempered by the fact that all Muslims cannot agree on when and at what point one should start lying.

How do we know which set of “lying circumstances” are acceptable to any given Muslim we may be speaking with? We could ask, but could we believe their answer?

Consider the beginnings of Islam when a spiritual being is said to have confronted Muhammad in a dark cave. In that blackness, the being extolled the virtues of that which would become Islam. Muslims say that a lie to further Islam is acceptable, so by that reasoning there is no guarantee that the being didn’t lie to Muhammad. It furthered Islam, did it not? If one can tell lies to further Islam, then there is no basis for believing anything good you’re told about the religion. I’m not saying there’s nothing good about it, I’m just pointing out the impossibility of trusting a system that openly embraces lying and falsehood as key doctrines.

A consensus view among Muslims today, as much as there is one, is that all the world is a legitimate battlefield upon which Islam should compete and win out as the dominate worldview. No problem – most ideologies compete for dominance like that. But in this battlefield context, the doctrine of al-Taqiyya is justifiable in virtually every situation, and at least radical Muslims exercise it in exactly that way.
Muslims may not all agree when to invoke al-Taqiyya, but they cannot deny that the whole world is an ideological field of battle. What ideology can claim to be moral AND declare the whole world combatants to whom they can unashamedly lie? Answer: Islam.

These doctrines of strategic lying and deception, al-Taqiyya and hudna, showcase the dangerous nature of Islam as much as does the wife beating, honor killing, beheading, and other such practices that the religion embraces. The only thing positive about the doctrines is that they are so integral to the Qur’an and practice of Islam that they cannot be hidden. We know about them, and now knowing we can and should take them into account. Weigh very cautiously what Muslims and Muslim nations are telling us and trying to get us to believe, especially in regard to so-called peace treaties and treaties concerning nuclear weapons.

Hadrat Ali said that in the battlefield one could not observe the highest standard of truth as a Muslim has been exhorted to do in matters of religion. For example in the battlefield one has to hide facts and outwit the enemy. – al-Islam.org, Hadith Sahih Muslim, Vol. 2, ft. #1446

DANIEL’S PROPHECY OF 70 WEEKS – PART 8

I began to teach this in the last century. Most prominent preachers taught this in the centuries prior to 1740, and continued to teach in ever decreasing numbers into the last century. Their number began to decline after revisionists made the 3 HE’s in Daniel 9:27 the Antichrist. Some still taught it when I was a teenager in the last century.

In all my years of searching for ANY type of writing that identified the “HE” found in Daniel 9:27 as the antichrist, I have only found two, one by Irenaeus and one by Hippolytus, who wrote them on scrolls in about 180 AD. I don’t doubt there may be a few more, but they are so miniscule in number it is like comparing an atom with an elephant – that is the obvious point I have always tried to make. I have yet to find a published book or pamphlet, since the invention of the first printing press up to 1740, which advocated 1 through 4 below state. As a matter of fact, I only used the references of Irenaeus and Hippolytus because “first of the weekers” are always referring to them. The first time I ever encountered them in my search, I decided to leave them out because in context, and sticking strictly to what the two stated, they did not prove what those quoting them claimed they stated. So if I can find time, I will go back and look at what I originally found, and show it to you in context in my BLOG tomorrow night, and you can make up your own mind.
For many years I have challenged anyone to produce a book published as a commentary on the Bible prior to 1740 that taught or showed the following:
1. The “HE” in Daniel 9:27 as representing the future antichrist.
2. The “rapture” occurring at, or before, the “first of the week.”
3. The “rapture” occurring in the “middle” of the week.
4. A “last of the week” diagram divided into two 1260 sections.
I ‘m not saying books showing (1) to (4) don’t exist before 1740. I am saying I have searched diligently for many years, and have never been able to find such books or publications before 1740. So what will I do if someone ever answers the challenge and does present such a legitimate published document?
I will simply ask this question – Why is this book the only one floating in the midst of a sea of publications that teach otherwise? One of the strongest natural instincts in the human nature we brought out of our mother’s womb is “ACCEPTANCE.” And anyone who is blind to the effect that it has on their way of thinking in a society based on religious, social, and group ACCEPTANCE, is indeed blind to what could be the greatest motivation factor in what they teach, and why they teach it. I was made ACCEPTABLE to God by grace through faith some 64 years ago, and now I persuade men to be well pleasing (ACCEPTABLE) to him rather than to men. To be ACCEPTABLE (well pleasing) to God does not always mesh with being ACCEPTABLE (well pleasing) to man.
Ephesians 1:6 – To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us ACCEPTED in the beloved.
II Corinthians 5:9-11 – Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be ACCEPTED of him. [10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. [11] Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
There are two different inspired words translated as “accepted” in these two Scriptures. The one in II Corinthians means “well pleasing.”
Colossians 3:23-25 – And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; [24] Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. [25] But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
THE PROPHESIED DESOLATIONS OF JERUSALEM!
What Did the Jews Know from Daniel 9:24-27?
Daniel 9:1,2 – In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans; [2] In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet that he would accomplish seventy years in the DESOLATIONS of JERUSALEM.
They knew that the 70 weeks of years (7 X 70 = 490), during which the desolations of Jerusalem would occur, were to begin as stated in Daniel 9:25.
Daniel 9:25 – Know therefore and understand, that FROM the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem UNTO the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
The 490 years were to begin when the commandment to restore and rebuild Jerusalem was issued, which some thought was the Artaxerxes Longimanus commandment issued in 457 BC.
And they knew it would be 483 years when Messiah the Prince arrived to fulfilled the last 7 years (7 + 62 = 69 weeks of years = 69 X 7 = 483 years).
However, after completing the 484th, 485th, and 486th years, he was cut off (crucified) by the Jews between the 486th and 487th years, that is, in the “midst” of the seven year period, between the third and fourth years. The word AFTER in 9:26 is a continuous running narration of 9:25 and, as such, is understood to contain the seven weeks without repeating them, hence the Messiah was to be cut off AFTER the 69th year DURING the 70th week of years.
Daniel 9:26 – And AFTER threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
According to the preponderance of the evidence, Jesus was born in 4 BC, and came as the Messiah the Prince to be baptized by John in 27 AD at age 30, which was the age a man could be a priest in the line of Aaron, and it was this event that marked the beginning of the 484th year since the 457 BC commandment to restore and rebuild Jerusalem had been issued. Jesus began the last week of Daniel’s 70 weeks when he was baptized. He completed more than three years of it, but less than three and one half years, probably leaving some 1335 days to be completed before the final desolations of Jerusalem were completed.
Daniel 12:12 – Blessed is he that waiteth and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days.
The completion of the 1335 days marks “the end of the days” in Daniel’s 490 year prophecy, and Daniel will stand on this earth in his resurrected glorified body at that time.
Daniel 12:13 – But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
Daniel 9:2 – In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish SEVENTY YEARS in the DESOLATIONS of JERUSALEM.
Daniel 9:27 – And HE shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week HE shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations HE shall make it DESOLATE, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
All three of the “HE’s” are the Messiah the Prince, who was cut off (crucified) between the 486th and 487th year of Daniel’s 490 year prophecy.
FIRST DESOLATION OF JERUSALEM (SPIRITUAL)
The first desolation of Jerusalem occurred when the Messiah the Prince declared it to be spiritually desolate just before he was cut off from Israel by crucifixion.
Matthew 23:37-39 – O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! [38] Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
SECOND DESOLATION OF JERUSALEM (PHYSICAL) The second desolation of Jerusalem, which followed the rejection of the Messiah the Prince, occurred in 70 AD when Titus destroyed the Temple and the City.
Luke 21:24 – And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
THIRD DESOLATION OF JERUSALEM (PHYSICAL)
The third desolation of Jerusalem occurred in 135 AD when Hadrian finished the desolation of Jerusalem and gave it the name of a Roman city.
FOURTH DESOLATION OF JERUSALEM (PHYSICAL)
The last desolation of Jerusalem will occur when the antichrist overruns it, sits on the temple mount, even “showing himself that he is God.”
Daniel 11:41 – He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.
Daniel 11:45 – And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
II Thessalonians 2:4 – Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
Zechariah 14:1,2 – Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. [2] For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
The attack of antichrist will mark the beginning of the last three and one half plus unfulfilled years (1335 days) of Daniel’s 490 years, and the 490 years will be completed at the Second Advent of the Messiah the Prince.
Luke 21:25-28 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. [27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [28] And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
I Peter 1:18-21 – Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; [19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
RESTORATION OF JERUSALEM (SPIRITUAL & PHYSICAL)
Isaiah 62:1-12 – For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. [2] And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. [3] Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. [4] Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married. [5] For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. [6] I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, [7] And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth. Isaiah 12:1-6 – And in that day thou shalt say, O Lord, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. [2] Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. [3] Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. [4] And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. [5] Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. [6] Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

BABES SAY THEY’RE ZEALOUS TO BE MARTYRS FOR JESUS
BUT THOSE OF FULL AGE DON’T SAY IT – THEY JUST DO IT.
Hebrews 5:12-14 – For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. [13] For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. [14] But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

DISCIPLES NEEDED CONVERSION AT JESUS’ CRUCIFIXION

THE DISCIPLES WERE CONVERTED AFTER JESUS ASCENDED

BABES IN CHRIST ARE ADVISED TO BECOME CONVERTED TO AN EVER INCREASING MATURITY BY CONTINUING TO COME TO CHRIST IN ONE OF HIS LOCAL CHURCHES THAT STILL TEACHES THE FAITH ONCE DELIVERED TO THE SAINTS – A MATURE SAINT COULD ACTUALLY BE CAPABLE OF REJOICING IN BEING MARTYRED IN CHRIST’S SERVICE.
I Peter 2:4,5 – To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, [5] Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Matthew 11:29,30 – Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Ephesians 3:21 – Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
