The Lord scattered his Jewish Kingdom several times during their history.  They were scattered by Titus and Hadrian Roman forces years after Christ ascended.  Jews started to return to their homeland in small groups in the thirties to become a declared Jewish State in 1948.  Some 4 Million Jews will be killed in the future, but 2 Million will flee into the Negev Wilderness.  A hudna (truce of safety) will be accepted at Beersheba, and the 2 million will remain in the Negev for some 3 & ½ years.

After the Second Advent of their Messiah. all remaining Jews will be gathered to their homeland from across all of planet earth, and shall dwell safely for 1000 years.

Cyberspace is “the notional environment in which communication over computer networks occurs.” The term was first used in science fiction and cinema in the 1980s, was adopted by computer professionals and became a household term in the 1990s. They are sometimes referred to as cybernauts. The term cyberspace has become a conventional means to describe anything associated with the Internet and the diverse Internet culture. The United States government recognizes the interconnected information technology and the interdependent network of information technology infrastructures operating across this medium as part of the US national critical infrastructure. Amongst individuals on cyberspace, there is believed to be a code of shared rules and ethics mutually beneficial for all to follow, referred to as cyberethics. Many view the right to privacy as most important to a functional code of cyberethics. Such moral responsibilities go hand in hand when working online with global networks, specifically, when opinions are involved with online social experiences.

According to Chip Morningstar and F. Randall Farmer, cyberspace is defined more by the social interactions involved rather than its technical implementation.^] In their view, the computational medium in cyberspace is an augmentation of the communication channel between real people; the core characteristic of cyberspace is that it offers an environment that consists of many participants with the ability to affect and influence each other. They derive this concept from the observation that people seek richness, complexity, and depth within a virtual world.

Scientists explore Grenada Underwater Volcano to better understand Tsunamis and Earthquakes

A team of scientists from the United States has travelled to Grenada, exploring the darkest corners of a huge underwater volcano off the island’s coast hoping to better understanding the mysteries of earthquakes and tsunamis, and ultimately saving lives.

President of US Ocean Exploration Trust, Robert Ballard, famous for discovering the Titanic 12,000 feet below the surface of the icy North Atlantic in 1985, has set his sights on exploring the volcano, Kick’em Jenny, studying its eruption history and learn more about how underwater volcanoes can pose a threat.

Kick’em Jenny is an active volcano lying on the sea bed of the Caribbean Sea, to the north of Grenada. There were 12 eruptions from this volcano is 2001. Today, a safety zone near the volcano prohibits scuba divers and snorkellers from going near the area and is rated number seven on the top 10 list of active underwarter volcanoes.

Ballard, who is also director of the Center for Ocean Exploration at the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography, said the Kick’em Jenny volcano has a history of explosive eruptions, which could have the potential to trigger tsunamis, the effects from which could be felt as far away as the northeastern United States.

According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), the Kick’em Jenny volcano has erupted 10 times since 1939, with the most recent eruption in 1990.

“This is the most hazardous part of our planet, where (tectonic) plates are head-on,” said Ballard, noting that the devastating 2011 Japanese earthquake and the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami were both underwater earthquakes.

The American television network, ABC TV,  said reporters from its “Nightline” programme accompanied Ballard and his team of 40 explorers aboard their exploration vessel Nautilus during the final 48 hours of their 90-day voyage, which was documented for an upcoming National Geographic special, “Caribbean’s Deadly Underworld,” which premieres Sunday on the US network, Nat Geo WILD.

The conditions around the Kick’em Jenny volcano are so dangerous to humans that Ballard and his team relied on the Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) “Hercules,” a 5,000-pound submersible, to be their “eyes and ears” inside the volcano,”  ABC TV reported.

It said as Hercules descends into the volcano, Ballard and his team watch the robot’ live cameras from a control room aboard the Nautilus.

After hours of searching, the team made a startling discovery.

“It means that places that we thought there was very little life existing on our plant, we’ve just opened up a whole other area where life seems to be thriving,” Ballard said, adding “a lot of the deep sea is sort of like you know you can think of it as a desert. We just found an oasis in that desert.”

On its journey, Hercules took pictures of its surroundings, made maps and collected samples, including organisms living inside the volcano and even reaching inside the volcano?s bubbling plume to gather materials, ABC TV said.

It said such discoveries on Ballard’s trip could allow scientists to better understand the threats posed by underwater volcanic eruptions.

“And there’s no reason to stop, there’s 72 per cent of the planet hardly explored. I like to tell children that their generation is the generation that will explore more of earth than all previous generations combined,” Ballard said.

Submarine volcanoes are underwater vents or fissures in the Earth‘s surface from which magma can erupt. They are estimated to account for 75% of annual magma output. The vast majority are located near areas of tectonic plate movement, known as ocean ridges. Although most are located in the depths of seas and oceans, some also exist in shallow water, which can spew material into the air during an eruption. Hydrothermal vents, sites of abundant biological activity, are commonly found near submarine volcanoes.

The presence of water can greatly alter the characteristics of a volcanic eruption and the explosions made by these. For instance, the increased thermal conductivity of water causes magma to cool and solidify much more quickly than in a terrestrial eruption, often turning it into a volcanic glass. Below ocean depths of about 2200 metres where the pressure exceeds 218 atmospheres, the critical pressure of water, it can no longer boil; it becomes a supercritical fluid. Without boiling sounds, deep-sea volcanoes are difficult to detect at great distances using hydrophones.

The lava formed by submarine volcanoes is quite different from terrestrial lava. Upon contact with water, a solid crust forms around the lava. Advancing lava flows into this crust, forming what is known as pillow lava.

Scientists still have much to learn about the location and activity of underwater volcanoes. The Kolumbo underwater volcano in the Aegean Sea was discovered in 1650 when it burst from the sea and erupted, killing 70 people on the nearby island of Santorini. More recently, NOAA’s Office of Ocean Exploration has funded exploration of submarine volcanoes, with the Ring of Fire missions to the Mariana Arc in the Pacific Ocean being particularly noteworthy. Using Remote Operated Vehicles, scientists studied underwater eruptions, ponds of molten sulfur, black smoker chimneys and even marine life adapted to this deep, hot environment.

Many submarine volcanoes are seamounts, typically extinct volcanoes that rise abruptly from a seafloor of 1,000 – 4,000 meters depth. They are defined by oceanographers as independent features that rise to at least 1,000 meters above the seafloor. The peaks are often found hundreds to thousands of meters below the surface, and are therefore considered to be within the deep sea.^[1] An estimated 30,000 seamounts occur across the globe, with only a few having been studied. However, some seamounts are also unusual. For example, while the summits of seamounts are normally hundreds of meters below sea level, the Bowie Seamount in Canada’s Pacific waters rises from a depth of about 3,000 meters to within 24 meters of the sea surface.

By the time the last of the 7 vials pours out to end the Tribulation Period, every mountain and Island will have new geographical latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates in microseconds.  This would mean they will NOT be found exactly in the same spot they occupied in Revelation 6:12-14.

A seamount is a mountain rising from the ocean seafloor that does not reach to the water’s surface (sea level), and thus is not an island. These are typically formed from extinct volcanoes, that rise abruptly and are usually found rising from the seafloor to 1,000-4,000 metres (3,000-13,000 ft) in height. They are defined by oceanographers as independent features that rise to at least 1,000 metres (3,281 ft) above the seafloor. Because of their large numbers, many seamounts remain to be properly studied, and even mapped. Bathymetry and satellite altimetry are two technologies working to close the gap. There have been instances where naval vessels have collided with uncharted seamounts; for example, Muirfield Seamount is named after the ship that struck it in 1973. However, the greatest danger from seamounts are flank collapses; as they get older, extrusions seeping in the seamounts put pressure on their sides, causing landslides that have the potential to generate massive tsunamis.

Revelation 8:7 – The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

Revelation 8:7 does not mix frozen hailstones with fire.  It mixes large volcanic bombs (hail) and fiery blood-red lava.  I believe what John witnessed was a worldwide pattern of volcanic eruptions around the edges of the tectonic plates.  This verse is a perfect description of a chain of volcanic eruptions.  As the volcanic bombs (hail) are thrown great distances from the caldera vents, fires are started, and as the fiery lava moves across the surface of the earth it burns up everything in its path.  I challenge you to view films of an actual eruption and then not believe this is what John saw in his vision from God.  (See Birth Pang 3)

Revelation 8:8,9 – And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; [9] And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

A fuller, more descriptive, rendering of part of this verse from “The Bible in Basic English,” Dutton, 1950, Cambridge Press, is as follows:  “It was as if a great mountain burning with fire had been cast into the sea.”  Again, I believe the great fiery mountain that suddenly appeared in the sea would naturally have been assumed to come from above to the one abruptly seeing it there (See Archives – Birth Pang 4).  This was the first of thousands that will be rapidly appearing along the plate borders of the tectonic plates, building up from the ocean sea floors to break the sea surface.  The resultant action of rapid heating of the ocean above these volcanic vents will discolor one-third of the sea water into a murky rusty-red maze of aquatic death by the smothering effect of the basaltic hematite oxidation, and generate an ocean wide population explosion of dinoflagellate, which will produce deadly red tide.  (See Birth Pang 4)

The earthquakes and volcanic eruptions on the ocean and sea floors will produce the collapse and/or rise of segments of the ocean sea floor, and some massive sliding of parts of the coastal land mass into the oceans.  And these actions will produce hundreds of Tsunami waves along those coastal areas of the world that have an abruptly rising coastline.  (See Archives – Birth Pang 5)  Furthermore, I assure you when the massive shifting of the tectonic plates begins, then this seismic wave action would destroy any ships in port.  At any given time about two-thirds of the world’s shipping is under way on the open sea, and one-third is in port.  The one third in port will be utterly destroyed by gigantic Tsunami waves like the coastal residents of the world have never seen.

An astounding pulse of destruction and growth at an underwater volcano north of New Zealand has provided a new insight into the behaviour of submarine mountains. The Monowai seamount, which lies at the intersection of the Pacific and Indo-Australian tectonic plates at the Tonga-Kermadec subduction zone, underwent one of the fastest episodes of volcano growth documented on Earth. It added about 8.75 million cubic metres of rock to its summit – a volume equal to 3500 Olympic-size swimming pools – in just five days. New lava flows raised that area by 79.1 metres, while part of the volcano’s summit collapsed by as much as 18.8 metres. Most striking was the creation of an entirely new volcanic cone.  The changes were measured by crew aboard the research vessel Sonne who had set out on a routine mapping expedition in the South Pacific last autumn. Their findings have been published online in the journal Nature Geoscience. The article’s authors include GNS Science geologist and geochemist Cornel de Ronde. As they surveyed the seafloor near Monowai seamount in mid-May 2011 the crew noticed yellow-green water and gas bubbles rising above the volcano. As the ship was leaving the area, near Tonga, it went through a patch of discoloured water with a strong smell, like rotten eggs, Oxford University geologist Anthony Watts said. While the ship was surveying another area, a seismic station in the Cook Islands detected an intense five-day swarm of seismic activity and traced it to an eruption at Monowai seamount, MSNBC reported. Watts and the ship returned in early June to find that part of the Monowai volcano had collapsed and another part had grown in dramatic fashion. The new material lifting the peak was most likely magma that had erupted and hardened the week before, Watts, who led the study, said. The rapid changes at Monowai suggest that the volcano grows and collapses in dramatic pulses. Submarine volcanoes such as Monowai were much more difficult to study than volcanoes on land. Because so little was known about submarine volcanoes, it was unclear whether others also grew in rapid pulses, Watts said. Only Vesuvius and Mount St Helens have recorded larger growth rates. The paper said the speed of growth and change was “a reminder of how rapidly geological processes such as submarine landsliding and volcanism can occur”.  “Any movement on the seabed has the potential to create a tsunami.

Israel and US hold large-scale joint missile defense drill

Some 1,000 US troops arrive in Israel to participate in exercise held every two years, said designed to test joint response to missile attacks.

The Israeli and American armies were to begin a joint drill in Israel on Sunday, to test the two nations’ missile defense systems.  Some 1,000 American soldiers have arrived in Israel for the drill, Israel Radio reported.

The drill, code-named Juniper Cobra, is held every two years and is designed to test the joint Israel-American military responses to missile attacks, the radio said. Israel’s central missile defense system, the Iron Dome, is jointly funded by the United States.

General Eyal Eizenberg, who heads the Home Front Command, last week issued a reminder that the Home Front would be a prime target for Israel’s enemies during any conflict.

Speaking during an IDF drill, Eizenberg said that the enemy understood that what it did not launch in the open salvo of a conflict would not be an option as time went by. The enemy would try to paralyze Israel and demoralize its citizens using any weapons available, Israel Radio quoted him as saying, in order to achieve a ceasefire that would rule out an Israeli counter-offensive.

The Home Front, warned Eizenberg, is the second front in any war and central to the enemy attack.

Both Hezbollah and Hamas use missile strikes on Israeli civilian population centers as a key strategy during conflict. In the 2006 Second Lebanon War, Hezbollah fired more than 100 rockets a day at Israeli targets, primarily in the north, but reaching as far south as Hadera.

In the IDF’s Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza in November 2012, Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups fired rockets at Israel, some reaching as far as the Tel Aviv region. Gaza has also been a launch site for regular rocket attacks on the parts of southern Israel close to its border.

“One of the main reasons I wrote three books on prophecy in the late seventies and early eighties was to establish a case advocated by teachers of the pre-World War II era.  It was, simply stated, that man would not destroy the earth with his weaponry, but rather that God would destroy the earth by the use of this own power.  I am certain that the horrifying changes in the topography of Israel, as well as the terrifying destruction of the antichrist’s forces at Armageddon, are by the awesome power of God, not nuclear bombs.  The lifting of the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem, the breaking up of Jerusalem into three sections, the splitting of the Mount of Olives, and the consuming of the flesh, tongues, and eyes of the antichrist’s men are natural phenomena unleashed by God, not by man.  All the Scriptures dealing with these phenomena unleashed by God are covered in Birth Pang and Prophecy Archives.

There are many advocates of a great atomic war in Israel when the antichrist attacks 1260 days before Armageddon.  So why am I so confident and outspoken about this being the case?

Israel has numerous extremely well concealed missile sites in the Negev between Beersheba and the Gulf of Aqabah.

(1) It has some 300 nuclear, chemical, and biological warheads to mount on Jericho missiles.

(2) The Jericho is a very accurate missile, and can hit a target in any Islamic country from Morocco to Pakistan and from Turkey to Yemen.

(3) Israel has an excellent anti-missile defense to protect its array of silos, warheads, and missiles.  It is able to pick up an incoming enemy missile launched from Syria before it reaches it maximum altitude.

(4) So why do I believe this array of WMD will not be unleashed by Israel when it is attacked?  Because the Israeli War Contingency Plan of Israel directs that WMD will not be launched against a foreign nation unless they are first launched against Israel.

(5) So how do I know the Islamic countries will not launch WMD in their initial attack?  All of them are well aware of what is listed in (1) through (5)!  The former Soviet Union, when it existed, shared Israeli intelligence information with Syria, which it collected over a long period of time from its hundreds of spy satellites it launched from pads between Moscow and the White Sea, and on the eastern side of the Aral Sea.  Syria, in turn, has shared it with some of the other Islamic countries around Israel.  Only a leader possessed of rank insanity would ever launch WMD first against Israel, which is why I was so relieved when Saddam Hussein was taken out of the way.

Many believe the United States will quickly rush to the aid of Israel, and, as the world’s greatest power, will immediately deliver her from any kind of attack she can’t handle.  There are two problems with this idea:  (1) The United States believes Israel can defeat any Islamic attack on its own without any help from us.  After all, Israel has easily done so in three previous wars and, (2) This will be a lightning Jihad, and better coordinated than any of the previous wars, and this time Israel will have a Palestinian state attacking it from within, while the other Islamic nations come in from outside its borders.  It will probably last less than 2 months, and Jerusalem will fall during that period.  By the time we decide they must have our help it will be too late, because they will have occupied most of the land from Dan to Beersheba.  It would take months, as it did in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Freedom Iraq, to get enough American troops on the ground to do any good.

What was the character of Israel’s past three wars?  They were all very short in duration, and they all ended abruptly in a truce.  That will be the case in this war.  The United States knows that the Negev is the place where Israel will flee.  When we believe they are safely in the Negev, we will be more than willing to accept a truce to give us time to think about what to do, and Israel will remain trapped in the Negev for some three and one-half years.

WHEN ISRAEL IS SUDDENLY VISIOUSLY ATTACKED IN A SURPRISE LIGHTNING JIHAD BLITZKRIEG FROM ITS NORTH, WHY DOESN’T THE U.S. ATTACK THE ISLAMIC GROUP OF NATIONS THAT ARE ATTACKING HER?

This is a question I have been asked over and over again for a long time.  I was asked again on e-mail recently, and this time, rather than answering the query privately, I decided to make it a prophecy update, so that that in future I could just attach this update to any new query and save myself repeating it again.

The one thing that I learned in the National Security Agency which has been, is, and always will be the motivating factor in any decision made by any country, including the United States, may be simply stated in two words: NATIONAL INTEREST.  Many will cry out and say, not so, we did it for humanitarian reasons, we did it to secure justice, we did it out of compassion, we did it out of love, we did it because we love freedom, we did it because we are a great nation: and on and on shall come statements from every realm of society, from “bleeding” liberal hearts to the “hardened” hearts of the extreme right, all giving different reasons as to why this country did something.  But the truth of the matter is that, in the end, we always did it for what amounted to NATIONAL INTEREST.

The United States has quick response attack naval and marine forces in position at all times to put down a banana republic type of minor conflict on short notice.  But in order to conduct a successful operation again a Jihad the magnitude of the coming attack of many nations against Israel, we would require some time to get enough regular ground troops in place to have a real hope of victory.  It took us a very long time to get enough men and equipment into the Middle East to insure success in our victory against Iraq.  The Scriptures indicate that 10 Islamic nations will be led by the Antichrist, and that they will quickly take Jerusalem and drive Israel into the Negev.  When Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran come pouring southward on both sides of the Samarian mountains, and the Palestinians break out in all directions internally from within the enclosed buffer zone, chaos will reign supreme from Dan to Beersheba.  There will be so much inner mingling of the attack forces of Israel and those of the enemy with the fleeing civilian population that air strikes would kill as many on one side as the other.  Since the U.S. is fully aware of the Israel War Contingency Plan to evacuate as much of the population as possible to the Negev if overrun from the north, it will set in shock and indecision until it is too late to do anything except help to evacuate some of the coastal population from Tel Aviv to Haifa into the Negev, and to air lift supplies into the Negev.  The aircraft of the Islamic nations will be under orders not to fire on western power’s aircraft unless fired upon, because the one thing they will not want is for the U.S. to get actively engaged with them in an all out war.  Once Israel has evacuated as much of its population into the Negev as possible, and the U.S. sees that the Arabs are not going past Beersheba, we will accept the status quo as best for all.

ADL: One in four adults ‘infected with anti-Semitism’

In first global survey of anti-Jewish attitudes, Anti-Defamation League attempts to gather data-based research on anti-Semitic sentiments across the world.

More than one in four adults are “deeply infected with anti-Semitic attitudes” according to the results of a global survey released Tuesday by the Anti-Defamation League – a figure which represents an estimated 1 billion adults worldwide.

“For the first time we have a real sense of how pervasive and persistent anti-Semitism is today around the world,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director.

The survey discovered that 41 percent of those surveyed agreed that “Jews are more loyal to Israel than to the countries they live in” –a long-standing anti-Semitic accusation – and 35 percent believed that “Jews have too much power in the business world.”

The results of the ADL Global 100: An Index of Anti-Semitism revealed that two out of three people surveyed had either never heard of the Holocaust or did not believe historical accounts of it are accurate.

The ADL surveyed 53,100 adults in 102 countries and territories, in an unprecedented effort to have data-based research on “the level and intensity of anti-Jewish sentiment across the world.”

According to the report, which ranked countries and territories in numerical order based on the spread of anti-Semitiic attitudes through the population, Laos was the least anti-Jewish country in the world with only 0.2 percent of the population harboring negative attitudes towards Jews.

On the other end of the scale were Gaza and the West Bank, where anti-Semitic attitudes, scored at 93 percent, are rampant throughout society.

“The level of anti-Semitism in some countries and regions, even those where there are no Jews, is in many instances shocking,” said Barry Curtiss-Lusher, ADL National Chair. “We hope this unprecedented effort to measure and gauge anti-Semitic attitudes globally will serve as a wake-up call to governments, to international institutions and to people of conscience that anti-Semitism is not just a relic of history, but a current event.”

The large-scale poll was made possible by a generous donation from New York real-estate mogul Leonard Stern. Respondents were asked a series of 11 questions based on age-old stereotypes about Jews, including classical stereotypes about Jewish power, loyalty, money and behavior. Those who responded affirmatively to six or more negative statements about Jews are considered to hold anti-Semitic attitudes.

Micah 5:5,6 – And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. [6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

I have established, in previous updates, that “this man” of verse 5 is “the peace” himself because he ends the earthly reign of “the Assyrian” at the battle of Armageddon, and then brings in “the peace” that lasts for 1000 years on this present planet.  It is only Jesus Christ himself who has the power to bring such a thing to pass.

I believe verse 6 to be one of the most interesting verses in the Scriptures that have yet to be fulfilled.  Why am I so certain it has never been fulfilled?  Because Israel has not wasted the land of Assyria with the sword, or the land of Nimrod in its entrances thereof, since Micah wrote these prophecies!  At the time he wrote the borders of the expanding Assyrian Empire covered all of modern day Israel north of Ramallah, all of modern Syria, all of modern Lebanon, and all of modern Iraq north of Baghdad.  The historical settling of this area between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers after the flood in Noah’s day is of great value in the interpretation of Micah 5:6.

Genesis 10:1,6,8,22 – Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. [6] And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. [8] And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. [22] The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.Assyria apparently derived its name from Asshur, the son of Shem.  Later in time Asshur was worshipped as the chief God of the Assyrians.  Asshur went into the northern area of the fertile plain lying between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, and his descendants that settled it were eventually called Assyrians.  It is certain that Israel never wasted this area.  Nimrod was the grandson of Ham through Cush.  He founded a great kingdom between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, south of the area of Asshur’s descendants, that extended south to the Persian Gulf.  The “entrances” into it from the east, which is the direction the Israelis would come to “waste” it, were the shallow sections of the Euphrates River that could be waded to gain entrance.  The Euphrates was, and is, perhaps the greatest carrier of top water silt on this planet.  The rapid descent gradient of its waters in the steep mountains of Turkey was able to sustain an enormous quantity of erosion debris cut off the mountain slopes, but when the water came onto the flat plains of modern day Iraq its speed was abruptly lowered, and the silt deposition rapidly built up lees across the Euphrates, making it possible for some areas to be waded.  The long series of dams currently stretching from Turkey, through Syria, and into Iraq have helped to regulate the flow and silt deposition of the Euphrates, but at the time of Micah’s writings there would have been a plurality of wading entrances into the land of Nimrod across the Euphrates.

Now, why have I gone into such detail as to the locations of Assyria and the land of Nimrod?  Because when Israel comes up out of the Negev at the battle of Armageddon, after having been confined there by the Assyrian for 1260 days, it will conquer a specified amount of territory to its north and east.

Malachi 4:1 – For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Zechariah 12:6-9 – In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. [7] The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. [8] In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. [9] And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Micah 5:6 – And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

Israel will claim all the land from the River of Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River, with a northern latitudinal border extending to Hamath (Hama) in Syria, and a southern border extending to Kadesh in the Sinai.  And all this is not by accident, but by design and promise, for it was God’s ancient land grant promise to Abraham and to Israel.  Its periphery is laid out in Genesis and Ezekiel.  Its northern limits were to extend to the latitude of Hamath (Hama) in Syria, and its southern limits to the latitude of Kadesh.  Its longitudinal limits to the west were to extend to the Mediterranean Sea and the River of Egypt, and its eastern longitudinal limits were to extend to the “entrances thereof” of the Euphrates River.  This is the area of Micah 5:6 that Israel will “waste,” and then claim for a thousand years.

Genesis 15:18 – In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Ezekiel 47:17,19 – And the border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side. [19] And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.

After Christ has himself, by himself, defeated the Assyrian at the battle of Armageddon to bring in “the peace” of a thousand years, then Israel will roar north out of the Negev to mop up what is left of a demoralized army that is fleeing north.  Israel will take Jerusalem back, then drive north, northeast, and east to claim all the land west of the Euphrates River.

Isaiah 66:15,16 – For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. [16] For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.

Zechariah 14:12-14 – And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. [13] And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. [14] And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

Micah 4:6,7 – In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted; [7] And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
