Former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri said that “Lebanon is not an unmanned drone,” referring to the aerial vehicle allegedly dispatched by Hezbollah to Israel last week.

“During this very critical moment in the region, all Lebanese who reject actions that threaten Lebanon’s national interest… need to shoulder the responsibility so that everyone understands once and for all that Lebanon is not an unmanned drone,” Hariri told the An-Nahar newspaper.

Hariri lauded the stance taken by Lebanese President Michel Suleiman regarding the drone mission, noting that the leader’s position “expressed deep concerns over the uncalculated risks which Hezbollah wants to drag Lebanon into.”

Suleiman said Friday that Hezbollah’s decision to send a UAV to Israel shows the urgent need for a national defense strategy that would utilize the militant group’s capabilities in defending the country.

Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah on Thursday claimed responsibility for the drone mission, which was shot down by Israel. Nasrallh further noted that the drone was made in Iran.

Meanwhile, a senior Iranian commander said that the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has enhanced its defense capabilities to the level of strategic deterrence, Press TV reported.

Commander Major General Mohammad-Ali Jafari told military personnel in the Northern Khorasan province that the IRGC has “enormously increased its defense capability and deterrence by merging its professional ground forces and Basij, enhancing missile range and boosting the naval defense and strike power, and enhanced it to the level of strategic deterrence.”

Satellite images reveal: Hezbollah training in Syria missile base

The Syrian army has a Scud missile base near Damascus, according to recent satellite photos. The photos also suggest that Hezbollah activists are being trained in the Scuds’ use at the base.

Reports that Syria may have given Hezbollah Scuds ratcheted up tensions between Jerusalem and Damascus about six months ago, according to foreign media.

The photos, taken on March 22, can be seen by any web surfer on Google Earth. They show extensive construction at several military bases throughout Syria, including at one of the country’s three largest missile bases, located 25 kilometers northeast of Damascus, near the city of Adra.

The base is in a deep valley surrounded by 400-meter-high mountains. Concrete tunnels lead from the base into the mountains, where the Scuds are apparently stored.

The photos show five 11-meter-long missiles (the length of both the Scud B and the Scud C ) at the Adra base. Three are on trucks in a parking lot. Two others are in a training area where 20 to 25 people can be made out along with about 20 vehicles. One of the two missiles appears to be mounted on a mobile launcher; another is on the ground.

In April, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al Rai reported that Syrian President Bashar Assad was arming Hezbollah with Scuds. The paper did not mention the type of Scud, but the Scud C has a range of approximately 600 kilometers.

About a month later, Amos Harel reported in Haaretz that Damascus had given Hezbollah highly accurate and lethal M-600 rockets with a range of 300 kilometers.

In late May, the Sunday Times of London reported that shipments of weapons from the Adra base were going to Hezbollah, and that according to anonymous security sources, Iran was sending missiles and other weapons to that base via the nearby Damascus airport. It also said Hezbollah had been given a section of the base for barracks, warehouses and a fleet of trucks to transport weapons to the Lebanese border, 40 kilometers away.

Earlier that month, Brig. Gen. Yossi Baidatz, the head of research for Military Intelligence, told the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, “The long-range missiles Syria recently gave to Hezbollah are just the tip of the iceberg. Hezbollah already has thousands of rockets of all kinds and all ranges.”

Due to the rising tensions at the time, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Saudi King Abdullah invited Assad to an urgent summit at Sharm al-Sheikh. Assad, however, canceled at the last minute. A senior analyst told Haaretz at the time that while Assad was presenting himself to Europe as a peace-seeker, he continued to maintain his strategic alliance with Iran and Hezbollah.

USE THE TIME YOU HAVE LEFT TO TEACH THE NATIONS ABOUT HIM AND TO TEACH THOSE WHO BELIEVE IT AND WHAT THEY SHOULD DO AND OBSERVE IN ASSEMBLING TO WORSHIPPING HIM FOR THE REST OF THEIR PHYSICAL LIFE ON THIS PLANET.

DON’T FEEL MISERABLE OR UNHAPPY BECAUSE OF THE PROPHECIES YOU SEE BEING FULFILLED IN THE OLD WORLD, REJOICE THAT GOD LET YOU KNOW WHEN HIS 2^ND ADVENT WAS DRAWING NIGH.

HE HAS GIVEN YOU TIME TO TAKE TIME TO DO IT BEFORE THE DOORS ARE CLOSED AND YOU ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO DO SO!

DO NOT WORRY ABOUT WHEN THE RAPTURE IS GOING TO OCCUR – BUT DO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WHATEVER TIME YOU HAVE LEFT.

DO NOT BE AFRAID OF RUSSIA, GREATER SYRIA, OR IRAN PLUS  ITS SATELLITES – IF YOU MUST BE CONCERNED:  BE CONCERNED ABOUT CHRIST’S JUDGMENT SEAT IN HEAVEN AND WHAT HE TAUGHT YOU TO TEACH OTHERS,  BUT WHICH YOU DID NOT SHOW IN YOUR LIFE, NOR TEACH OTHERS AFTER HE SAVED YOU TO DO SO.

BRETHREN, IF GOD’S PROPHECIES BEING FULFILLED BOTHERS YOU, THEN GET YOUR ETERNALLY SAVED SOUL BACK INTO A REGULAR HABIT OF ASSEMBLING IN A LOCAL CHURCH THAT TEACHES HOW TO OBSERVE WHAT HE TAUGHT THE LOCAL CHURCHES TO DO AS THEY WORSHIPPED GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH.

Many are infected with “smooth talker” virus from speakers in Washington – Obama, Kerry, and Hillary are chief among them.

Many Americans are going down the same kind of rebellious path against God that Israel and Judah followed before they were carried into Captivity. God had it noted for future generations. 

Isaiah 30:8-13 – Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: [9] That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the Lord: [10] Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: [11] Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us. [12] Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: [13] Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.

Wake Up Believers!  This is where we are today! We are not going through the vials of Wrath, but we are going to be here during the seals and trumpets.  We are not going out before any tribulation begins!  We will be caught out of Tribulation on the last trump, which is trumpet 7 in Revelation!

What moral conditions existed before Israel and Judah were Judged

What is the moral condition of Believers and Unbelievers Today:

II Timothy 3:1-5 – This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. [2] For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, [4] Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; [5] Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

What is described in the next 3 Scriptures are not FAR DISTANT Events:   

I Corinthians 15:51,52 – Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Revelation 10:7 – But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Revelation 11:15,18 – And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.  18] And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Nothing is more fitting to illustrate and summarize the wretchedness of US Secretary of State John Kerry’s mission – that some term as “negotiations” – than its final note.

Among all the facts, and all the fundamental differences between the two sides, Kerry chosen to blame the crisis in talks – seemingly just to spite – on Uri Ariel’s announcement of further construction in Jerusalem. This he did after delivering the cliché that Americans cannot want peace more than the sides themselves do.

The fact that Kerry chose these two excuses illustrates the extremely modest purpose of his mission. The secretary of state of a super-power has begun and ended his efforts at a great distance from the gaps in Palestinian Authority President Abbas and former prime minister Olmert’s positions in Annapolis in 2008 – without a framework for negotiations, without clear principles, and without defining parameters that could have turned the fruitless meetings into effective negotiations in which the differences could consistently lessen.

Kerry needed only to ask for data regarding construction in Judea and Samaria in the past year. He would have discovered what is already known – that Israel has increased, right under his nose, settlement construction by 123 percent.

No, this was not a national trend or an answer to the social protest, since in the same year, for example, there was a dramatic 19 percent drop in the number of housing units built in the Tel Aviv area.

This data coincides with countless others to show that the current government led by Benjamin Netanyahu, and its predecessor, are doing everything in their power to fulfill Naftali Benett and Ariel’s ideology – a complete negation of the two-state solution.

Kerry cannot but regret the manner in which he chose to conduct his efforts. He began his arduous journey with an Israeli demand to release Palestinian prisoners instead of insisting on the 1967 borders as a basis, a natural continuation to the UN’s decision in November 2012 to recognize Palestine as a state along the 1967 borders. He refrained from pressing the two sides on the core issues, which guaranteed the lack of clear answers that could have illustrated Israel and the Palestinians’ basic and practical position.

Those who call his mission “mediation efforts” would have to demand that basic positions be presented. At one end of his policy, Kerry preferred to extend imaginary “bridges”, mainly through the media, that seemingly connected between the vague positions that both sides presented, and were in effect nothing more than hollow slogans as those in Netanyahu’s famous Bar-Ilan speech.

At the other end, Kerry dealt with trifles such as Palestinian construction in area C, which is not even relevant to the sought-after permanent agreement.

There is no place for the American cliché any longer. Did Kerry really believe that the Netanyahu government wanted a permanent agreement based on international decisions? Did he not believe the Bayit Yehudi MKs who had announced in their party platform that “we oppose the establishment of any kind of Palestinian state west of Jordan”? Did he not understand that that this was the moment the Likud party was aiming for when it wrote in its platform: “When the time for final negotiations for peace comes, Likud will present a clear red line”? Did he not comprehend that Netanyahu is signed on a platform that includes within it statements such as “perseverance in population and development of all parts of the State of Israel and the imposition of the state’s sovereignty on them”? Was he simply beguiled by Foreign Minister Lieberman’s sweet talk that included his belief that “the demand for the establishment of a Palestinian state and the right of return are intended to disguise the true purpose, which is to eliminate the State of Israel as a Jewish and Zionist State”?

Kerry has failed in his mission at this stage, mainly due to the fact that both sides did not desire its success. But he also did not dare to really push them to succeed. Unfortunately, even if Kerry leaves now, we will have to return to our meetings. We can only hope that they will not be under more difficult conditions and circumstances, and especially hope that Kerry will draw the right conclusions.

Ukrainian armed operation in the East founders with troop defections to pro-Russian militias

The US and Russia, while trading the blame for pushing Ukraine to the brink of civil war, are nonetheless tugging at the leashes of the two players in the field, each jockeying for advantage in the quadrilateral meeting of senior US, Russian, European, Ukrainian and UN officials scheduled to take place in Geneva Thursday, April 17, debkafile military and intelligence sources report.

The five or six armored personnel carriers which rolled in the embattled town of Slavyanks with Russian flags Wednesday, April 16, turned out to be part of the Ukrainian military operation whose crews instead of cracking down on the pro-Russian militias joined them. According to some Western intelligence sources, a large number of regular Russian soldiers have crossed the border into Ukraine and they too are boosting the pro-Russian militias’ ranks. The Kiev government’s “anti-terror” operation in East Ukraine is accordingly breaking up. debkafile reported earlier Wednesday: 

Expectations of fruitful results from the meeting are low. But the fact that all the parties are talking offers Ukraine its last hope of escaping a bloody civil war. To this end, too, late-night phone calls are being exchanged among Presidents Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin as well as Chancellor Angela Merkel.

So far no real shots, aside from a few warning rounds – have been fired between the Ukrainian “anti-terror” force dispatched to East Ukraine on Tuesday April 16 and pro-Russian separatist activists. But it is obvious to all sides that the situation is charged enough for an unforeseen spark to easily send the conflict spinning out of control.

The east Ukrainian separatists have been formed into pro-Russian militias with clandestine aid from Moscow in money and logistical support, such as material for checkpoints, though not weapons. They have seized police and government buildings in up to a dozen towns, centering on the Donetsk region near the Russian border.

This development brought US CIA chief John Brennan on a secret visit to Kiev over the April 12-13 weekend. He arranged for the Kiev government to mount a counter-operation. They put together an armed contingent made up of Ukrainian internal security SBU special forces and the Alpha Force, which is the special operations unit of the Ukrainian secret service-SZRU, as well as paratroops and police units. General Vasily Krutov was given command of the contingent.

By his operation, Kiev aimed to crack down on the pro-Russian militias and so demonstrate its authority over the country and not just the center of the capital Kiev. However the multiple components of this contingent betrayed the fact that neither the Ukrainian army nor all parts of the intelligence services respect and are willing to serve the provisional government.

Backed by promised funds and diplomatic cover from President Obama relayed by John Brennan, this motley contingent went into action Tuesday in two of the trouble spots – Slavyansk and Kramatorsk near Donetsk.

But debkafile’s military sources report that notwithstanding the claims of 4-11 dead and dramatic footage taken in both places of exchanges of fire, flying jets and advancing tanks, nothing really changed on the ground.

The number of casualties was not confirmed, or which side they belonged to, and the tanks turned tail after heated debate with their pro-Russian brothers.

Neither was there any confirmed crackdown or seizure of arms in Slavyansk from the defiant pro-Russian militias and the recovery of the air base at Kramatorsk remains in doubt. The US attached importance to this air field as the key to a Russian troop landing in eastern Ukraine if this was decided in Moscow.

Indeed, Wednesday morning, April 16, the Ukrainian special units found themselves besieged in both Slavyansk and Kramatorsk by pro-Russian militias. When Gen. Krutov asked to speak with their leaders, the militiamen laughed and knocked off his cap before sending him running to his car.

It is now up to Washington and Moscow, which have been handling their allies in Ukraine by remote control, to decide on further steps, taking into consideration that they may push the situation over the edge into civil war. Their alternative is to leave the impasse on the ground in situ for the Geneva talks Thursday to try and resolve.

In the last resort, that decision is up to Obama and Putin – on the assumption that their proxies remain obedient.

The National Movement For the Liberation of Azawad Looks To Russia As An International Partner

On March 14, 2014, a delegation of the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA), led by its secretary-general Bilal Ag Acherif, met in Moscow with Mikhail Bognarov, Russian deputy minister of foreign affairs and special envoy for Africa and the Middle East. The delegation’s visit was part of the attempts by the MNLA to obtain an international consensus in order to emerge from the regional crisis, which began with the unilateral secession of the MNLA, which is mainly a Touareg movement, from Mali and its declaration of an independent State of Azawad (in northern Mali), on April 6, 2012.

Following the MNLA’s secession, on January 11, 2013, France launched a military intervention, Operation Serval, against several jihadist movements that had taken control of parts of Azawad. While the MNLA expressed its willingness to participate in the fight against terror, it also demanded that the Malian army refrain from entering Azawad, and that the civilian population of the region not be harmed.   After the launch of Operation Serval, the MNLA retained control only of the region of Kidal.

The main military force in terms of fighters in the Kidal region (the town of Kidal and other small towns) is the MNLA. However, other forces are present in Kidal: the French Serval force (mainly in the towns of Kidal and Tessalit) and the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) (mainly in Kidal, Tessalit and Aguelhok). There is also a presence of the Malian army, but they are not militarily significant.

On June 18, 2013, the MNLA signed the Ouagadougou Agreement with the Malian government.   The agreement was a provisional one to allow the July 28, 2013 Malian presidential election to be held also in Kidal. Since then, the situation between the MNLA and Mali has remained stagnant, with no dialogue between the two parties. France has distanced itself from the MNLA, and the group is now turning to Putin’s Russia, at a time when Crimea has declared its independence from Ukraine.

A communiqué by MNLA chargé of communication Mossa Ag Attaher explains that the goal of the Russia visit was to spread “the message of the people of Azawad everywhere, particularly in the countries that are members of the UN Security Council, some of which have veto power.”[4] According to Ag Attaher, the meeting with Bognarov took place in a friendly atmosphere, and dealt mainly with issues linked to the problems of Azawad and to its conflict with the government of Mali.

“All the causes of the conflict were explained to the government of the Russian Federation. The political, social and cultural reasons for the recurring revolts and the suffering of the people of Azawad were discussed at length. The president of the MNLA’s leadership, Mr. Bilal Ag Acharif, clearly expressed the necessity and the urgency of finding a solution to this never-ending conflict through a political dialogue. He reaffirmed the availability of the MNLA to operate by means of political negotiations provided that they are based on the sincere and frank willingness of all the parties,” wrote Ag Attaher.

The communiqué notes that the Russian deputy minister of foreign affairs had thanked the MNLA delegation “for the high level of the talks and invited it to continue on the path of a political and negotiated solution.” Moreover, he reaffirmed the availability of the Russian Federal government to help the different parties to find a just, equitable and durable solution for the crisis.

Soon after the Moscow meeting, Russian Ambassador to Mali Alexei Doulian was summoned to Mali’s Foreign Ministry to explain the MNLA delegation’s visit to Moscow. Doulian held talks with Mali’s Foreign Minister Zahaby Sidi Ould Mohamed on the issue, but details were not divulged.[5] According to the AFP, the Malian foreign minister stated that the Russian ambassador had said that his country recognizes the territorial integrity of Mali and that Russia is not at all inclined to recognize the MNLA.

Mali President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita (known as IBK) had strong words against the MNLA visit to Moscow. During the 44th ordinary summit of the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) in Ivory Coast, IBK said: “They [the MNLA] went to Moscow to ask Russia to arm them. But the Russians answered them: We trust your president [i.e. IBK]. We received him [IBK] twice in Russia. The relations between [Mali’s capital] Bamako and Moscow go back to 1960. The best thing for you to do is to stop your activities, as not only will we not help you, but we see no other country in the world that will…. They want war! If it is what they want, I am ready!… I forgot! When they [the MNLA] went to Moscow, they offered, in exchange for Russia’s help, to give the Russians oil, uranium, and other mining resources that abound in the ‘territory’….

Previously, in 2012, when the MNLA took over Azawad, Federation Council of Russia Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Mikhail Margelov said that the MNLA’s claim of independence in northern Mali stood no chance of being recognized by the international community. “We stand unequivocally for the territorial integrity and restoration of the constitutional order in Mali,” Margelov said.

In 2013, Anatoly Isaikin, who heads Russia’s arms export agency, Rosoboronexport, said that Moscow had, in February 2013, delivered a $12 million consignment of arms to Mali, that included 3,000 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 300 machine-guns, and ammunition.[9] It was also reported that Mali had asked Rosoboronexport for Mi-35 and Mi-17 helicopters, cargo airplanes, fighter planes, armored vehicles, radar systems for anti-aircraft defense, and small arms and ammunition.

The following are excerpts of an article in the Burkina Faso Le Pays daily, in which the author, journalist Pousdem Pickou, states that Russia is seen as a reliable partner that never lets its friends down, and that this is why the MNLA is attempting to bring Russia to its side

MNLA Looks To Moscow, Falls Out Of Love With Paris

“A delegation of the National Movement for the Liberation of the Azawad (MNLA), led by its political chief, Bilal Ag Acherif, was received… in Moscow by Mikhail Bognarov, Russian deputy minister [of Foreign Affairs and Special Envoy] for Africa and the Middle East. This rapprochement between the MNLA and Moscow can be interpreted in different ways.

“In the first place, the MNLA’s turning its attention to Moscow could be the consequence of the ‘falling out of love’ between Paris and the Touareg rebellion. In fact, under the pressure of the sub-region, and in consideration of the numerous accusations towards Paris that have been made, rightly or wrongly, by Malian public opinion, [which deems] Paris as having been too indulgent towards the MNLA, Paris was compelled to reconsider its relations with pro-independence Touaregs.

“So, the erosion of relations between the former colonial power [i.e. France] and the MNLA – something considered to be not such a bad thing in [Mali’s capital] Bamako – might be the reason for Bilal Ag Acherif’s wink to his Muscovite comrades in order to fill a political and diplomatic vacuum. This [erosion] might modify the balance of power in Bamako’s favor, for present and future negotiations on the status of the Azawad as part of today’s democratic Mali.

“Similarly, the MNLA visit to Putin’s country could be linked to Bamako’s reluctance to implement Ouagadougou’s accords [signed June 18, 2013] which are perceived by the MNLA as the only framework for the resolution of the crisis in Northern Mali. [Mali’s] refusal to accept the mediation of [Burkina Faso President] Blaise Compaorè, whom certain Malian authorities suspect of being [too] close to MNLA’s ideas and of offering food and shelter to the MNLA, clearly contributed to pushing pro-independence Touaregs towards Moscow, since after Ouagadougou’s exclusion they needed to find a new sponsor in order to implement their agenda for Northern Mali.”

Russia, The Ideal Sponsor

“We can also interpret the MNLA visit to Moscow from a different angle – meaning that the choice of Russia could be linked to other considerations carefully developed by the rebel Tuareg movement. In the first place, Moscow offers the advantage of being acceptable both in Algiers and in Bamako. In fact, historically, these two capitals have always entertained good and multifaceted relations with Moscow… Consequently, the MNLA knows that a possible [inclusion], in Mali’s crisis, of Russia – which incidentally is not hostile to Ouagadougou’s accords – has a good chance of being accepted by Algeria and Mali. [i.e. if Russia decides to be an actor in the crisis it would be accepted by Mali and the neighboring Algeria, because it has international political weight and because it has historical relations with those two countries].

“In this regard, we can reiterate that Mali’s current president, Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta (IBK), had gone to Moscow even before he was elected president. Besides, Russia has the advantage of being a permanent member of the UN Security Council. This status of Moscow among the nations renders [Russia] the ideal sponsor for relaying MNLA’s lobbying activities to other great powers.”

Moscow Never Lets Its Friends Down; “As An Orphan, The MNLA Is Looking For A Foster Father”

“Finally, Moscow has the fiendish reputation of never letting its friends down, even if these friends are sinister. It was likely Russia’s attitude of challenging the West in regards to the Syrian civil war, probably inspired the MNLA, which was aware that this country, more than any other country, when it comes to international relations, is not very concerned with moral considerations. From this perspective, the MNLA made the right choice.

“Indeed, the end of the Cold War has somehow modified the balance of terror which Moscow entertained with Washington’s allies, but in this particular case, Moscow could reap some advantages by sponsoring the MNLA. The first advantage concerns geopolitics. In fact, Russia could be interested in being present in the Sahelian-Saharan region, also in order to avoid that this area becomes a breeding ground for international terrorism.

“[Also,] beyond this scenario, that is linked to the struggle against Islamist extremism, we can add that Russia could benefit from rapprochement with the MNLA – which, it must be stressed, does not completely adhere to a logic of peace with Bamako, since it has made some hefty weapons sales to the Touareg rebels. Lastly, all the aforementioned elements seem to validate the following hypothesis: As an orphan, the MNLA is looking for a foster father.”
