I have, for several years, issued blogs guesstimating the final war of the Gentile Age was likely to begin at some point between 2014 and 2016. The future effects of Arab Spring and Obama’s passive foreign policies have created a situation such that the Islamists now see they can have time to completely prepare for a winning war against Israel, and that is exactly what I expect them to do. I do not believe the last Middle East war of the Gentile Age will begin until after the 2016 election. The future 10 horns and their 11th Antichrist Islamic horn (Mahdi) will use Obama’s term to build up military strength and unity to attain initial successes in the final war, but they will be smashed by Israel some 3 and ½ years after the initial attack when Jesus comes to end the final battle of Armageddon at his Second Advent. I do not intend to guess at any “more likely time zones’ for the final war to begin, I will simply relegate the time after the 2016 election as “it is near, even at the doors.”

I expect the recently elected Muslim Brotherhood Egyptian President will use an ancient Islamic battle tactic to finally gain full control of Egypt. Muslim forces would suddenly rush forward unexpectedly and extend their battle lines, then quickly withdraw, but keep some of their gain after having tested the power and will of their foes. I expect President Mursi to temporarily withdraw from some elements of his power after surging to gain a “Pharaoh like” territorial power. He will smooth over part of his power grab demands, but will keep up this technique until he, or another Muslim Brotherhood leader, will put in strict Sharia Law that all Egyptian judges must employ in every situation.

When “that Wicked” Muslim, with his 10 Islamic horns, is made fully known (revealed) to believers by attacking Israel he, along with his horns, will meet their doom some 3 and ½ years later at Armageddon because they have believed the spirit of Antichrist lie.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called Hamas Prime Minister in Gaza Ismail Haniyeh on Friday and congratulated him on the “resistance’s victory following the Israeli aggression that lasted eight days.”

Ahmadinejad said Iran stands with the Palestinian people and asked Haniyeh to send his condolences to the families of those killed during the IDF’s Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza. Haniyeh thanked the Iranian president and told him that the “victory” belongs to Muslims worldwide.

Senior Hamas figure Mahmoud al-Zahar acknowledged on Friday that the rockets fired by Hamas’ armed wing toward Israel during the latest round of fighting were “Iranian rockets in Palestinian hands.”

Speaking at a procession in Gaza, al-Zahar criticized the Fatah movement and the Palestinian Authority, saying they played no part in the “victory” over Israel.

Meanwhile, reports in Gaza said the Rafah smuggling tunnels, pummeled by the IAF over eight days, are already being rebuilt.

“As you can see there is complete destruction, the tunnels are all destroyed because of the missiles. We will rebuild them and bring in food, flour lentils and sugar and building material such as cement and metal so that the people can break the siege on Gaza,” Mohamad Omar told Reuters on Friday while his friends were busy clearing up their camp.

Local workmen said the IAF attacks destroyed more than two-thirds of the cross-border tunnels which are used to bring in cement, fuel, food, and the rockets and mortar shells used against Israeli civilian enclaves only a few miles away.

“We are trying to fix the tunnel in order to return to our normal life which we need the tunnel for work. It costs a lot but what can we do, we have to fix it. For example this tunnel of ours which has been hit it will cost no less that 40 thousand dollars to fix,” Mohamad Aladwan said.

On Friday top Hamas figure Izzat al-Rishiq denied reports that the ceasefire agreement includes an Egyptian guarantee to work with the US to prevent weapons smuggling into Gaza.

“It is not true, as some say, that the ceasefire agreement included that Egypt will work with special US units to prevent smuggling of weapons into Gaza. These are Israeli leaks aimed to ease the impact of their defeat,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Islamic Jihad deputy leader Ziad Nakhaleh also addressed the ceasefire and warned that his terror organization would retaliate to any Israeli violation of the truce.

He said the agreement calls on Israel to lift the siege on Gaza. If Israel fails to comply, he said, the Palestinian groups in Gaza would resume the armed ‘resistance’.

Weekly Commentary Looking At The Text Of The Ceasefire Understanding – Just The Facts

I want to take this opportunity to review the actual text of the Ceasefire Understanding announced yesterday in Cairo and leave speculation as to the efficacy of alternatives to PM Netanyahu’s decision to accept this understanding to other commentators for today.

I do this because it is vitally important to understand what is in fact written and not written in the text.

[The text follows this commentary]

#1. The obligation of each party not to engage in “hostilities” is not linked to the compliance of the other party.

#2. In point of fact, the agreement explicitly and specifically prohibits Israel from the “targeting of individuals” – so that Israel cannot dispatch to Paradise a specific terrorist either before, during or after they have engaged in an activity against Israel.

#3. The only relief available to a party in the event that the other party violates the understanding is to inform Egypt of the violation, with Egypt following up on the violation.

#4. While the understanding places no restriction on the importation or local manufacture of weapons in the Gaza Strip, it prohibits any Israeli activity inside the Gaza Strip against this activity. (Take note: Prime Minister Netanyahu said last night that “the United States and Israel would work together to fight the smuggling of weapons to the terror organizations”. Mr. Netanyahu did not mention Egypt and in the case of the Americans, this relates only to the smuggling of weapons – not their manufacture in the Gaza Strip).

I want to make it clear that I am not speculating if Israel will opt to violate the understanding and return fire. I am also not going to speculate if Israel will opt to violate the understanding and demolish weapons manufacturing and storage facilities. My point is only that such activities are not sanctioned by the understanding.

Which brings us to a disturbing element of the entire concept:

Israel’s peace treaty with Egypt is one of the most critical strategic assets that Israel has.

Egypt is both the official sponsor of this understanding and, as already mentioned above, the party assigned the responsibility to follow up on violations of the understanding.

From this point onwards, every decision Israel makes regarding the Gaza Strip will have to give considerable weight to the possible impact of that decision on the future of the Jewish State’s relations with Egypt.

I will leave for others to speculate if Hamas has been deterred or if, instead, they will exploit this understanding to prepare in earnest for the next round of conflict.

I will also leave for others to speculate if Israel will opt to exercise its fundamental sovereign right to defend itself.

I will only reiterate that the text of the understanding that Israel accepted last night has no provision for Israel to do anything beyond informing Egypt in the event of Palestinian violations and that there is absolutely no restriction of any kind on Palestinian military preparations.

Here is text of the cease-fire agreement between Israel and Palestinians in Gaza. The text was distributed at the news conference in Cairo with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr.

Understanding Regarding Ceasefire in Gaza Strip

1. a. Israel should stop all hostilities in the Gaza Strip land, sea and air including incursions and targeting of individuals.

b. All Palestinian factions shall stop all hostilities from the Gaza Strip against Israel including rocket attacks and all attacks along the border.

c. Opening the crossings and facilitating the movements of people and transfer of goods and refraining from restricting residents’ free movements and targeting residents in border areas and procedures of implementation shall be dealt with after 24 hours from the start of the ceasefire.

d. Other matters as may be requested shall be addressed.

2. Implementation Mechanism:

a. Setting up the zero hour for the ceasefire understanding to enter into effect.

b. Egypt shall receive assurances from each party that the party commits to what was agreed upon.

c. Each party shall commit itself not to perform any acts that would breach this understanding. In case of any observations Egypt as the sponsor of this understanding shall be informed to follow up.

When Jesus returns to end the Tribulation Period in its final battle of Armageddon at his 2nd Advent, he will have shown that, as God, all power in heaven and earth is given unto him. As he Lord of Hosts, he alone is in charge of the future events, and he uses nations and their rulers, along with his creation, to accomplish his purposes in the fulfilment of his prophecies. In the end, all of this works together for good for those who love him.

Romans 8:22,28 – For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. [28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

God kept Israel as the apple of his eye after her return from Babylonian captivity to the time of her rejection of the Messiah. God kept Israel under hie protection, as a mother hen protects her chicks under her wings, but left her desolate of his Spirit after she rejected Jesus. Israel will remain spiritually desolate until Jesus’ Second Advent which ends the Tribulation Period.

The foreign policies of Obama amd Mursi will lead to a prophetic fulfilment of the defeat of Israel in the first part of the final war of the Gentiles in its initial outbreak along its northern border with Islam’s Antichrist and his allies, which are Islamic horns in Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 and 17. This will leave Israel surrounded in the vast wilderness of the Negev for some 3 and ½ Years, at which time Christ will return at his Second Advent to begin his Millennial reign.

Op-ed: Only one who can claim victory after latest round of Israel-Hamas fighting is Morsi

The ceasefire negotiations in Cairo were multinational. There was Hamas and the new Islamist regime in Egypt. And behind Egypt there was Turkey and Qatar. And in the background there were the highest-ranking American officials: President Obama, with the phone calls to Morsi, and Secretary of State Clinton. Opposite them was Mossad chief Tamir Pardo, who is a partner of the Egyptian intelligence heads, and behind him there was Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Such an honor has never been bestowed on Hamas before, not even during the days of the negotiations for Shalit’s release. When Hamas will analyze the gains and losses of the latest round of violence, international recognition of the organization and its needs will be high on the list of gains. Diplomatically, Hamas came out stronger from this round of fighting; the IDF admits to this. The question is whether this is good or bad for Israel.

Negotiations were conducted, but there was no agreement. Apparently, there won’t be an agreement. Israel agreed to launch talks with the Egyptians – within an unspecified period of time – during which Hamas’ needs and demands will be discussed. If the ceasefire holds, Israel will have to soften its policy vis-à-vis the border crossings and allow, among other things, the transfer of goods into Gaza that are currently banned. The siege will be softened. Whatever is lifted can always be tightened again.

Israel and Hamas, via Egypt and the U.S., have reached a “truce.”

Israel and the Hamas militant group reached a cease-fire agreement Wednesday to end the fiercest round of fighting in nearly four years, promising to halt attacks on each other and ease an Israeli blockade constricting the Gaza Strip.

Egypt’s foreign minister, Mohammed Kamel Amr, said the deal was set to take effect at 9 p.m. local time, capping days of intense efforts that drew the world’s top diplomats into the fray. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton stood next to Amr as he announced the breakthrough at a news conference in Cairo.

The agreement will “improve conditions for the people of Gaza and provide security for the people of Israel,” Clinton said. In Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said he agreed to the cease-fire after consulting with President Barack Obama.

The Egyptian President, Mohamed Mursi, has assumed sweeping powers, prompting the prominent opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei to accuse him of usurping authority and becoming a “new pharaoh”.

“The president can issue any decision or measure to protect the revolution,” according to a decree read out on television by the presidential spokesman Yasser Ali on Thursday.

Mr Mursi also sacked the prosecutor-general, Abdel Meguid Mahmud, whom he failed to oust last month, appointing Talaat Ibrahim Abdallah to replace him.

That set him on another collision course with the country’s judiciary after he promised last month to bring back to court officials of the former regime acquitted of organising an attack on protesters during last year’s uprising against the ousted leader Hosni Mubarak.

Mr Mursi’s decisions were announced on the eve of a planned mass protest after four days of violent demonstrations in Cairo. The demonstrators include youth groups who say Mr Mursi and his government have not fulfilled the aims of the protesters who ousted Hosni Mubarak, or brought to justice those responsible for killing protesters.

‘‘Today is the start for truly avenging the blood of the martyrs with which we have been entrusted,’’ Mr Mursi said on his official Twitter account.

Only a day earlier Mr Mursi was hailed by the US President, Barack Obama, and other leaders for his role in realizing a truce between Hamas and Israel. As well as dealing with the Gaza conflict and a renewed push to raise Egypt’s profile in the region, he is contending with unrest at home and an economy battered by months of strikes and protests.

In his pronouncements on Thursday the President ordered “new investigations and retrials” in the cases dealing with the deaths of protesters, a decision that could affect senior military officials.

He said no judicial body could dissolve the upper house of parliament or the Islamist-dominated constituent assembly that is writing a new constitution and which has been criticised by the secular-minded opposition for failing to represent all segments of society.

He has also given the body – which was due to issue a draft constitution in December – two extra months to come up with a charter, which will then be put to a referendum.

The declaration is aimed at “cleansing state institutions” and “destroying the infrastructure of the old regime”.

Mr ElBaradei, the Nobel laureate and former UN atomic energy agency chief, said the declaration effectively put the President above judicial oversight.

“Mursi today usurped all state powers and appointed himself Egypt’s new pharaoh. A major blow to the revolution that could have dire consequences,” Mr ElBaradei wrote on Twitter.

Mr Mursi, who belongs to the powerful Muslim Brotherhood, is the first elected president after the popular uprising that toppled Mr Mubarak last year.

‘‘These are revolutionary decisions that came in response to peoples’ demands and will definitely gain popular support,’’ Mahmoud Ghozlan, a spokesman for the Brotherhood, said. ‘‘People have been calling for eliminating corruption and purging the judiciary since Mursi’s appointment. The decisions will bring stability and that’s what people want.’’

President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton have been instrumental in leading the Israel Prime Minister into a truce before Hamas was completely smashed by a ground incursion into its interior. So the IDF did not completely incapacitate Hamas missilery military functional abilities, and Hamas is now claiming a victory This shall, in the end, embarrass Israel, such that when Islam is ready to attack Israel at some point in time after 2013, Hizbullah will suddenly launch a wide variety of different types of missiles into all of Israel from Dan to Beersheba and Israel, not wanting to make the same error she made in the current Gaza Strip battle, will rush headlong northward along the entire Lebanese border deep into Hizbullah territory.

The advancing IDF will be cut off in a preplanned counterattack along its entire rear flank from the northeast and east by a mixture of troops from a large variety of Islamic nations. The surrounded Israel troops will be destroyed, and Islamic troops will swarm south along both sides of Israel’s central mountain range as Israel flees on the surface and in the air into the vast Negev wilderness, where she will remain surrounded by Islam under a hudna (truce) for some 1260 days.

Some 4 Million Jews will die, but 2 Million will be “left therein” the borders of Israel for some 3 and ½ years surrounded by Islamic horns.

The place where the 2 million are “left therein” is the vast southern Negev Wilderness of Israel. Israel is ‘the woman” of Revelation 12.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Gaza rockets hit south after truce; IDF holds fire

After ceasefire between Israel, Hamas takes effect at 9 pm, Gaza terrorists launch rockets toward south

Several rockets were launched from Gaza toward south Israel after 9 pm Wednesday, when the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel took effect. The IDF held its fire.

Air raid sirens were heard after 9 pm in Eshkol, Sderot and the Hof Ashkelon and Sha’ar Hanegev regional councils. Rockets landed in the Eshkol and Sha’ar Hanegev regional councils, but there were no reports of injury or damage.

Sirens were sounded in Ashdod, Kiryat Malachi and surrounding communities shortly after 10 pm. The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted one rocket over Ashdod. Around 10:30 sirens were heard in Ashdod, Gan Yave and Gedera.

IDF Spokesman Brigadier-General Yoav Mordechai confirmed that the ceasefire had taken effect at 9 pm in accordance with the political echelon’s instructions. “The IDF has stopped firing at the Strip and will open fire only if our forces are put in danger,” he said.

The IDF spokesman added that a decision on whether to release the reserve forces would be made on Thursday.

“The operation’s goals have been achieved. Hamas suffered a serious blow and is in a great amount of distress. After the organization’s leaders come out from their hiding places, they will see the extent of destruction. We understand from intelligence sources that Hamas is in distress.”

According to Mordechai, time will tell what the deterrence did to Hamas. “We’ll know within weeks or months. The chief of staff is in the south, issuing orders to the forces. We are alert and ready.”

Hamas said that it has officially ordered its military wing to stop firing projectiles on Israel, but rockets continued to be fired from Gaza towards the south of the country after the ceasefire took effect.

A Grad rocket that was fired towards Beersheba at around 8 pm Wednesday hit a house, but there no reports of injury. At least five rockets were fired toward the southern city shortly after Egypt declared that a truce between Israel and Hamas will go into effect at 9 pm. Rockets also landed in Netivot and Ashkelon.

Later, additional rockets were fired toward Ashdod, Netivot, Beer Tuvia and the Bnei Shimon and Hof Ashkelon regional councils. Some of the rockets landed in open areas, while others were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system.

It was further reported that a projectile exploded in an open area on the Israel-Egypt border. The IDF estimates that the rocket was fired from Sinai. No injuries were reported.

The IDF responded to the rocket barrage with heavy artillery fire and aerial strikes. Palestinian sources in Gaza said one person was killed and eight others were injured.

Earlier, Egypt announced that a ceasefire had been reached to end the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. Heavy rocket barrages on south Israel followed the announcement, but there were no reports of injury.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr made the announcement in a joint news conference with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The ceasefire would come into effect at 9 pm, Amr said.

“These efforts … have resulted in understandings to cease fire and restore calm and halt the bloodshed that the last period has seen,” Amr said.

The deal was brokered by the new Islamist government of Egypt, solidifying its role as a leader in the quickly shifting Middle East. Under the agreement, Egypt will play a key role in maintaining the peace.

Clinton said the ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians in Gaza had come at a crucial time for countries of the Middle East.

“This is a critical moment for the region. Egypt’s new government is assuming the responsibility and leadership that has long made this country a cornerstone for regional stability and peace,” she said at the joint news conference with her Egyptian counterpart.

Also on Wednesday, six people – including five soldiers – were injured in a rocket attack on the Eshkol Regional Council. One of the soldiers was critically injured. There rest sustained light to moderate wounds.

For Israel, a truce is the worst of all worlds: Tied hands, Hamas unbowed

Jerusalem, Cairo and Gaza were all waiting for US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to arrive Tuesday night, Nov. 20, for tying up the ends of a Gaza ceasefire accord. Until then, Israel held back from its approval and the Palestinians were hurling as many deadly missiles as they could.

DEBKAfile’s analysts say that by giving in to international pressure for a ceasefire, Israel’s leaders Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman would show they have failed to learn from their predecessors’ mistakes in ending the last two wars against terrorists inconclusively and prematurely.

After those wars, Israeli civilians were again thrust into the front line against missiles. In 2006, it was the population of northern Israel; in 2012, a million people living in southern Israel are in this intolerable predicament. And after Hamas’s rockets reached Tel Aviv and Jerusalem for this first time in this round of Palestinian missile aggression, the next round will no doubt spill over into the central Israeli heartland as well.

Tens of thousands of soldiers and reservists were meanwhile held on the Gaza border in suspense for a ground incursion. They stood there and watched as the missiles flew over their heads to explode in their towns and villages and in Cairo, the politicians wrangled over an early ceasefire.

Operation Pillar of Cloud was kicked off Nov. 14 with the targeted assassination of one of Israel’s most implacable enemies, Ahmed Jabari, commander of the Hama military wing, amid high hopes that this time it would be different. They were heartened by the IDF’s recovery of its legendary speed, precision and inventiveness and trusted the troops to finish the job left undone by Cast Lead in 2008.

Israel’s political and military leaders fervently vowed not to stop until lost deterrence was regained, Palestinian missile and terror capabilities were degraded and the people of the south could at last lead normal lives.

Hamas and Jihad Islami were caught off-balance by the loss of the Hamas commander in chief and the highly successful air operation which followed. But instead of seizing this moment for rapid in-and-out, lightning ground incursions against well-defined targets, the three Israeli ministers paused.

The chance then passed into the hands of the terrorists who used it to send their Iran-made missiles against Greater Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. At that instant, they multiplied their million targets to five.

Israel responded by calling up 75,000 IDF reserves and pouring 68,000 troops onto jumping-off stations along the Gaza border ready for an incursion.. One lesson was drawn from the 2006 conflict against the Lebanese Hizballah: Missiles cannot be stopped by air strikes.

The IDF spokesman Brig. Yoav Mordecai then started releasing upbeat televised communiqués announcing that the air offensive had so far deqraded 30, 40, 50 percent of the Palestinian missile capacity. However, as he spoke, Hamas somehow managed to expand the radius and intensity of its missile blitz until, finally Tuesday, on Day 7 of the Israeli operation, they landed two massive salvoes of 16 Grad missiles each on Beersheba’s quarter of a million inhabitants.

By then, the military had sensed that the three ministers running the operation were dithering between embarking on a ground operation to finish what they started and giving in to the mounting international pressure to accept a profitless ceasefire.

With US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton due to land in Israel Tuesday night, it was clear they had missed the boat for independent decision-making.

The Israeli public was informed by the media that the negotiations for a truce with Hamas and Jihad Islami led by Egypt were heavy going but approaching an announcement.

DEBKAfile traces the progress of the negotiating process in Cairo, stage by stage:

1. From Friday, Nov. 16, two days into the Gaza operation, the three Israeli ministers at the helm bowed to President Barack Obama’s repeated requests every few hours for yet another 24 hours’ grace for Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan and Qatar Emir al-Thani to conclude their bid for a ceasefire.

2. Saturday, Nov. 17, the IDF units mustered on the Gaza border received orders to go in. Some notified their families by text messages. Less than an hour later, the order was cancelled and they were pulled back after another phone call was received in Jerusalem from President Obama.

3. By then, it was too late for Israel’s leaders to correct their worst strategic mistake. They had gone along with Obama’s devolution of the ceasefire brokerage effort on three avowed foes of the Jewish state: Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood; Erdogan who keeps on slamming Israel as “a terrorist state;” and the Qatari ruler, who is bankrolling Hamas’s purchases of sophisticated weapons smuggled out of Libya.

The “truce brokers” prevented Israel from taking its place at the table. The Israeli delegation sent to Cairo was confined to exchanges though Egyptian intelligence officers, while at the same time forced to accept Hamas and Jihad Islami as negotiating partners.

4. When they saw tens of thousands of IDF reservists standing idle on the Gaza border, Hamas and Jihad Islami strategists concluded that, while they may have lost the opening round of the war, they had gained enough momentum to make up for it in the days that followed.

5. Building up their stake for the endgame, the two terrorist organizations intensified their missile blitz on Israel and raised their terms for a ceasefire. Meanwhile, international pressure from Western leaders on Jerusalem to step back from a ground operation was crushing.

By Tuesday, Netanyahu was willing to assure visiting German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle: “I would prefer this to end with a diplomatic solution. I hope we can achieve one, but if not, we are fully entitled to defend ourselves by other means and we shall use them.”

The Prime minister had also come around to accepting Egypt’s role in monitoring and managing the proposed ceasefire and providing guarantees for its implementation.

Netanyahu, Barak and Lieberman gave there consent to this arrangement in the face of strong objections from top military commanders and intelligence pros. The latter argued that, even with the best will in the world, the Muslim Brotherhood rulers of Egypt were not up to the task.

6. The clincher was the news that US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had left the Obama party touring the Far East and was on her way to Jerusalem and Cairo Tuesday night to tie up the last ends of an accord to stop the fighting in Gaza.
The issue had acquired ramifications which transcend the embattled Palestinian enclave: For Washington, Morsi’s acceptance of a key role in the execution of the truce would signify that Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood had after all chosen to join the US-Israel orbit in preference to the radical Middle East camp – albeit without fanfare for fear of embarrassment at home and in the inter-Arab arena.

The Obama administration expects Israel to go along with this perception.

DEBKAfile’s sources report that this is a dangerous illusion because, in the first place, it does not truly represent the intentions or orientation of the Egyptian president or the Muslim Brotherhood. In the second, it flies in the face of ten years of experience.

Even when Hosni Mubarak, a far more pro-Western figure, ruled Egypt, Cairo never upheld a single security accord negotiated with Israel for the Gaza Strip or Sinai and sponsored by Washington. Why would the Muslim Brothers behave any differently?

But even if Cairo does take charge of the ceasefire deal, it would put Israel in the invidious position of having to run to the Egyptians to complain about every Hamas violation, helpless to do anything about the smuggling into the Gaza Strip of fresh and better munitions with more powerful multiple warheads, or stop the groundwork being laid for the next Palestinian blitz.

The boast by government sources that the first missile fired from Gaza in violation of the truce would be met with an extra-powerful response unfortunately recalls the pledge of a former prime minister Ariel Sharon. After he disengaged Israel from the Gaza Strip in 2005 and pulled out every last civilian and soldier, Sharon declard that the first bullet fired from the Gaza Strip would be met with a powerful response.

Since then, the bullet has evolved into a missile… and is still growing.

In recent days, Hamas and other Gazan organizations have been trying to present their campaign against Israel as victorious. They stressed their power of endurance, reported on the intensity of their rocket attacks on Israel, enumerated their achievements and promised future victories.
Following are some examples:

Hamas Announces Its Victory

In a press conference held amid the ruins of Hamas’s government compound, which was shelled by Israeli planes, Hamas spokesmen claimed that the destruction of the buildings would not affect the movement’s functioning. Government spokesman Taher Al-Nounou said: “From this place we announce our victory. If Netanyahu’s government has shelled this headquarters, it means that it is unable to confront the Palestinian people.” Fathi Qar’awi, a Palestinian Legislative Council member from Hamas, said: “The occupation expected a brief war lasting a few hours against the Palestinian resistance, in which it would demonstrate its strength. But the force of the resistance and the accuracy of its blows took it by surprise. The rockets reached areas the occupation never dreamed [they would reach] in Tel Aviv and East Jerusalem, sparking terror and causing much damage.”

On another occasion, the spokesman of Hamas’s military wing, the ‘Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, said: “The Iron Dome [air-defense system], which Israel built at a cost of millions to address the rocket [threat], is nothing but a dome of paper.”
Hamas Reports Firing Over 1,000 Rockets And Mortars

Hamas has highlighted the large number of rockets it has fired into Israel. The Al-Qassam Brigades reported that over 1,000 rockets and mortars have been fired since Wednesday, November 14, 2012. In one of its messages, Hamas bragged that the resistance had fired 70 rockets in a single morning.

Hamas also boasted that Israel had been forced to change air traffic routes to and from Ben Gurion International Airport following the deployment of the Iron Dome system in the Tel Aviv area.

In another announcement, the Al-Qassam Brigades claimed to have downed an F-16 warplane over central Gaza, as well as a surveillance drone.

The Al-Qassam Brigades also claimed that, for the first time in the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, it had managed to fire a rocket at the Israeli Knesset, and added: “The Al-Qassam Brigades have vowed to turn the Zionists’ lives into hell and make them regret the moment they decided to assassinate the [Al-Qassam] commander, [Al-Ja’bri].”

A Facebook page affiliated with Hamas reported that five rockets fired by Al-Qassam had hit an Israeli warship.

Gazan Resistance Factions: We Are Preparing Many Surprises

According to the Hamas newspaper Al-Risala, the Al-Qassam Brigades are preparing for an Israeli ground campaign in Gaza, including with squads of male and female suicide bombers that will “meet any aggression against Gaza.” Concurrently, the military wing of the Popular Resistance Committees (the Nasser Salah Al-Din Brigades) announced via its spokesman, Abu ‘Ataya, that “the resistance has many surprises that will explode in the face of the occupation and its army if the aggression continues against Gaza and its residents.”

The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades (which belongs to Fatah) also said it was preparing for a ground offensive, and has promised to kill and kidnap Israeli soldiers: “The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade and the other resistance factions do not take Israeli statements regarding a ground incursion into Gaza lightly… They have begun preparing for any ground attack on the [Gaza] Strip, which will become a graveyard for the occupation forces. [These forces] will be defeated by the resistance and leave behind dozens of captive soldiers… [which will lead to] the liberation of all prisoners in the jails of the occupation.”

Mustafa Al-Sawwaf, a columnist for the Hamas newspaper, wrote about the balance of power and the deterrence that Hamas was now preparing against Israel: “The resistance wants to force a new equation vis-à-vis the occupation, which will start with creating a balance of terror. Otherwise, how can you interpret the fact that five million of the occupying Zionists spend some of their time in air-raid shelters and in a state of panic?

“[The resistance also wants] to create a balance of deterrence vis-à-vis the Israeli occupation. Otherwise, how can you interpret the fact that the resistance is shelling Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, as well as many other areas in occupied Palestine?” Al-Sawwaf also wrote that Israel was surprised by the advanced military capabilities of the resistance, and that this was “a resounding slap in the face of the Zionist intelligence.”

The fierce battle we have been viewing between Israel and Gaza is a miniature mirror picture of what will eventually happen across Israel’s border at some point in time after 2013. But it will be directed by the 11th horn of Daniel leading the 10 horns which came before him.

The 11th horn is the personification of the revived or resurrected great Umayyad Islamic Caliphate of 650 to 750 AD, which was larger than the Roman, Grecian, Medo-Persian, Babylonian, Assyrian, and Egyptian Kingdoms that preceded it. He also the last king in eight separated lines of kings, beginning with the Egyptian kings, and ending with the last Islamic Caliphate as its one and only eighth Caliph. (See last 3 Blogs)

I have taught since the last century that Iran and Syria would eventually use Hizbullah to draw Israel into a counterattack trap in southern Lebanon. We are now watching how Hizbullah will do it. Hizbullah has far more missilery than did Hamas, and this current action in the Gaza Strip is a dry run to evaluate how good Israel’s anti-missile system is, and how to better attack it.

What has happened in the Gaza Strip is nothing compared to the barrage of multiple types of missiles, rockets, and mortars which will poor down across northern and central Israel when the Tribulation Period war begins between Islam and Israel. The response by Israel on the ground and in the air will be immediate, and it will move for more than ten miles into Lebanon before a pre-planned counterattack is launched by Syrian and Iran on the IDF from the west to cut across its southern flank, thereby surrounding Israel in a ten mile pocket. Then Islamic forces will stream south along the western side of the central Israel mountain range toward Gaza and southward along the eastern side.

Hamas will attack Jerusalem from the west and Islamic terrorists from Jordan will attack Jerusalem from the east once they are joined by the Islamic forces streaming south along both sides of Israel’s central mountain range.

The current Hamas – Israel conflict is not the beginning of the Tribulation Period, but is rather an event associated with the Beginning of Sorrows under which we have been for some time. The Arab Spring movement has turned into a uniting catalyst for the future attack that will start the final 3 and ½ years of the Tribulation Period. I do not believe the final war of the Age of the Gentiles will begin prior to 2014, and have many times put forward a guesstimate it was most likely to occur between 2014 and 2016. I will continue to believe it will not begin prior to 2014, but the only thing I can say with certainty is that it is definitely “drawing nigh.”

Revelation 13:1 – And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

The “sea” is the Mediterranean Sea, which was, at the time of John’s writings, a vast shoreline under the control of the Roman Empire – It was a Roman Sea. It is from this area that the last evil empire of John’s beast will arise from its southern Islamic countries of today. The beast’s empire will control what was the southern half of the fourth beast, the Roman Empire, the sixth head on the beast. The seventh head that afflicted Israel was the Islamic Caliphate of 650 to 750 AD, which followed the Roman Empire.

The “human” Caliph beast head is the 11th horn that arises among the 10 horns of the fourth beast of Daniel and the 7th beast head of Revelation.

Daniel 7:20,21 – And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. [21] I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

The “human” beast is Ezekiel’s Gog, the last chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, who attacks Israel when he thinks it is dwelling safely in the latter years.

Ezekiel 38:3,8,9 – And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: [8] After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. [9] Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

The “human” beast is Daniel’s willful King of the North who attacks the glorious land of Israel at the time of the end.

Daniel 11:36,40,41 – And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. [40] And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. [41] He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

The “human” beast is the Assyrian of Micah, the one from which Messiah will deliver Israel when Jesus returns as the man who beings in the peace of the Millennium.

Micah 5:5,6 – And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. [6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

The “human” beast is Paul’s man of sin that shall be manifested as the son of perdition before “that day” comes.

II Thessalonians 2:3,4 – Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; [4] Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The ten horns are ten latter day kings who were not alive as kings in John’s day, but will exist as kings in the Caliphate of antichrist. And the ten crowns represent power and authority, which the ten kings will eventually turn over to the antichrist.

Revelation 17:12,13 – And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. [13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

The empires that represent the seven heads of the beast have been guilty of the sin of worshipping many pagan gods, which is a form of blasphemy again the only true God. The seventh will worship Satan himself through his son.

Revelation 13:4 – And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

It is rather ironic that all the extremist Islamic clerics and their countries refer to the United States as “the great Satan” and to Israel as “the little Satan.” They are already worshipping him, and soon they will be worshipping him directly through his son, the antichrist.

Revelation 17:9 – And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

The woman is the final consolidation of all heretical and apostate religions from all of the false religions, including the apostate Catholic Church and all her heretical offspring.

Revelation 17:10 – And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

When John wrote Revelation the first 5 lines of kings had fallen, namely the (1) Egyptian, (2) Assyrian, (3) Babylonian, (4) Medo-Persian, and (5) Grecian lines. The “one is” was in existence when John wrote was (6), the Roman line of Kings. The “one” that had “not yet come” when John wrote, was (7) the Umayyad lines of Kings (Caliphs), which is counted as one head because it has the same false religion as the 8th king , who is Muslim over a Caliphate resurrected Mountain.

The 10 horns are most likely Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran.

The 10 horns will experience initial success against Israel, driving her into the Wilderness of the Negev, and keeping her surrounded there for some 1260 days, but when the Second Advent occurs the Lord will return with his followers, and lead Israel to drive out all her enemies.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Daniel 7:24-27 – And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. [25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. [26] But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. [27] And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

Revelation 13:2 – And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

John is writing in the days of Daniel’s fourth beast, which had been prophesied by Daniel more than 600 years before John wrote the Book of Revelation. The fourth beast was, of course, the old Roman Empire.

Daniel 7:7 – After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

Daniel predicted the series of beast empires in advance, listing then chronologically as they were to arise. But John, under the rule of the fourth beast in his day, lists them in reverse order because they had already occurred before he wrote Revelation. The third beast had fallen to the fourth beast long before John was born, and was, of course, the Macedonian or Grecian Empire of Alexander the Great.

Daniel 7:6 – After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

The four wings forecasted the rapid spread of the Macedonian Empire to the four winds of the north, south, east, and west. It was symbolized as a leopard, which gave a preview of the quickness with which it would advance against much greater numerical forces. The leopard is well known for its cunning in taking a prey, as was the character of Alexander as he took his prey, the Persian Empire of Darius. The four heads forecasted the division of Alexander’s vast empire after he dropped dead at a young age. It was divided into four geographical sections. They eventually became known as the territories under the rule of Thrace, Macedonia, Syria, and Egypt.

Daniel 7:5 – And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

The second beast empire, which was overrun by Alexander’s armies, was the Persian Empire. It was pictured as a bear because of its great size and slowness of movement when compared with that of a leopard. It was this characteristic that allowed the lightning leopard like strikes of Alexander to defeat it. At first it had two sides, a Persian side, and a Meade side, and was known as the Empire of the Meade and the Persians. But eventually the Persian side rose up and became the more powerful side, such that it became simply the Persian Empire. The three ribs in the bear’s mouth stand for the three kingdoms of Lydia, Babylon, and Egypt, which formed a Triple Alliance to stop the Persian conquests, but were destroyed by the bear.

Daniel 7:2-4 – Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. [3] And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. [4] The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.

The great sea is the Mediterranean Sea, which is the area that these four great beasts affected in their day and, as such, are pictured as rising out of it. The first of the empires, which was symbolized as a lion by Daniel, was the Babylonian Empire. It fell to the Empire of the Meade and the Persians at the close of Daniel’s life, precisely as he had predicted in God’s word.

So, Daniel goes prophetically forward from the first beast to the fourth, while John goes historically backward from the fourth beast to the first. Then both Daniel and John go forward from the Roman Empire to the future 10 horned empire of the man we call the antichrist.

Daniel 7:8 – I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

Revelation 17:12 – And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

And both Daniel and John identify the antichrist as coming out of the fourth beast. He comes out as horn eleven in Daniel, and as head seven in Revelation.
