EVENT 2 – Israel flees into the Negev Wilderness and suffers the loss of 2/3 of her population during a 75 day withdrawal, but 1/3 will be left inside Israel in Negev. – Zechariah 13:8 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

EVENT 3 – Israelis hold at Beersheba and a hudna truce is declared some 75 days from the day the 1335 days began. This truce will be broken by the Antichrist 1290 days from the day the 1335 days began. – God will protect the 1/3 in the Negev for 1260 Days from tribulation period horrors such as earthquakes, famine, and pestilence.

EVENT 4 – Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. Revelation 6:12 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

EVENT 5 – 1290 days after initial attack sits as the abomination of desolation on Temple Mount in his command post (appeden) -The two witnesses are killed and caught up – The rapture of all the saved, including the 144,000 sealed Jews occurs thereafter as seventh trump sounds – and for some 45 days God’s wrath is poured out on the lost while the saved are being judged in heaven – Battle of Armageddon begins.

EVENT 6 – Daniel 12:11 – And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be 1290 days.

EVENT 7 – The 7 vials of God’s wrath are poured out for some 45 days. The unbelieving Jewish remnant left in the Negev wilderness heard the truth from the 2 witnesses and 144,000, but did not believe it until after trumpet 7. They did believe it during the 7 vials of God’s wrath, and called upon his name. Their souls are saved living in carnal flesh. They will enter Messiah’s Reign at the end of the 1335 days in the flesh,

EVENT 8 – A blessed remnant of elect Jews in the flesh will be allowed to go through the 7 vials of wrath into the physical Millennial Reign in the land of Israel at the end of the 1335 days. Daniel 12:12 – Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. The King of the North is a coming reformer ruler who will eventually arise in greater Syria out of the current civil war to be the Islamic Mahdi Antichrist. He will be able to lull Israel and her allies into a false sense of security because both lived under the threat of Middle East War. Behind closed doors he will meet with Jihad controlled nations to devise his future secret plans for a united Islamic attack on the King od the South.

Daniel 11:40 – And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

The King of the South is an Israeli Prime Minister who will order the IDF to charge into southern Lebanon, which was a part of greater Syria. But the IDF will be deliberately led into a prepared trap laid by the future Antichrist. The counterattack will be used to eventually drive Israel into the Negev Wilderness, where she will be surrounded by the Islamic forces for some three and one-half prophetic years of 360 days.

I believe both Israel and the U.S. used satellite photographs and electronic intercept to watch the removal of WMD from the sites mentioned in the following Excerpt from Wikipedia, and know precisely where they all located at the present time. I suspect all of them are now locally in one area to facilitate their protection. It is likely Israel will use precise air strikes or internal commando attacks to destroy the Syrian WMD, rather than having the IDF drive north across the Syrian border.

With the civil war in Syria, the Hezbollah terrorist attack in Europe, the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood, the rebirth of Al Qaeda, the continued drive of Iran to obtain an arsenal of defensive nuclear missiles, Russian and Chinese involvement, and widespread saber rattling, I admit it is difficult not to say the final Middle East war of this age will occur this year or in 2013, but I still believe it is more likely to begin at some point in time between 2014 and 2016. The counterattack of the King of the North against the King of the South is well planned militarily, and I believed the current mass confusion in the Middle East does not give itself to a well executed scenario.

Op-ed: Iranian proxy could once again turn Lebanon into battleground for defense of foreign interests

“Yes, Hezbollah is Iran’s army” is the bold title of one out of many opinion pieces and articles published on pro-March 14 Lebanese news portals. The growing sentiment of frustration expressed by Christian and Sunni opposition groups is gaining valuable momentum and support. Both the political branch and armed movement forming the Hezbollah terrorist organization are the de facto rulers of Lebanon since the fall of Saad Hariri’s government.

This situation is highly problematic as a militia is today the Lebanese major security actor, with enough military power to control the country in less than 48 hours

The arrogance of the Party of God in regard to Lebanese interests has become blatant. In July 2006, the killing of 3 Israeli soldiers and the abduction of Staff Sgts. Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev led to a war that crippled Lebanon and its economy. In 2008, a political row pushed Hezbollah to use its weapon against the Lebanese people, and the current Syrian civil war sees Nasrallah’s party actively supporting Assad’s policies, a position which many Lebanese strongly oppose.

Nevertheless, in a climate of escalating regional tensions, the March 14 alliance concerns, mainly voiced by Samir Geagea, are that the Iranian proxy could once again turn Lebanon into a battleground for the defense of non-Lebanese interests.

It is in this climate of clashing political and confessional ambitions that President Michel Suleiman attempts to push forward a plan that aims at changing the structure of Lebanon’s security apparatus. In a project presented at the beginning of September, the Lebanese president called for all militias – read Hezbollah – to come under direct control and authority of the Lebanese Armed Forces. This would in no way represent the disarmament of the Shia terrorist movement but it would see its impressive amount of small tactical weapons and strategic arms coming under the direct control of the Lebanese state.

A second part of the Suleiman plan openly calls for the liberation of Lebanese territories under Israeli control (Shebaa farms and Ghajar) only through diplomatic means. This marks a true revolution in the way of dealing with the country’s relations with Israel. The last time such rhetoric has been heard was in 1982, and was pronounced by the late Bachir Gemayel.

These calls reflect an increasing rift inside Lebanese society. A trend of overt criticism and attacks against Hezbollah and its allies, the latest one being an assassination attempt of Michel Aoun, find their momentum in the period of crisis the Party of God is going through. The Suleiman plan is unlikely to succeed in the short/medium term, yet it depicts an ever more open challenge to the quasi-total control of the territory Hezbollah can exercise.

As Syria spirals down into the darkest phases of a civil war, it is highly possible that, to counter these attempts by anti-Syrian and anti-Hezbollah Lebanese parties, President Assad will step up his meddling into Lebanon’s affairs. As the Samaha affair proved during the summer, a number of Lebanese top tier actors are ready to put their career and life on the line to harm their fellow citizens in order to support Assad and provide a much-needed breathing space to Hezbollah. These spoilers are likely to increase their activity if a serious plan to put militias under governmental rule is to be genuinely discussed.

Given the fact that Hezbollah continues to be seen by Syria and Iran as a bulwark against Israel, it is highly doubtful that the organization will be willing, or even allowed to by its sponsors, to turn in the weapons that constitute its strategic deterrence force. Syria and Iran are currently feeling the heat in terms of their defense capabilities and will probably do all that is in their power to make sure that Hezbollah remains as the major security actor in Lebanon. Any forceful attempt by the Lebanese government to prove otherwise would result in catastrophic consequences for the country, possibly risking another civil war.

By trying to establish new ties with the Lebanese state and to put some of its weapons under the authority of Lebanon, Hezbollah’s modus operandi as well as its command and structure will drastically change. As it copes with restructuration, the terrorist organization might possibly come under the pressure of hardliners inside Hezbollah’s leadership, as well as from Tehran, to take various measures to reassert its authority. Identity crises within terrorist organization often lead to detrimental consequences. Sensing that it is slowly but surely losing its ‘resistance’ characteristics may push Hezbollah to implement rash and destabilizing policies.

On top of that, the Party of God is growing increasingly weary of ongoing international events. The Syrian uprising, the Arab spring together with international efforts aimed at curbing Iran’s nuclear program are putting the organization in a very sensitive spot. Even within the Lebanese arena the situation has become even more complicated now that Hezbollah has become a full-fledged political actor. The terrorist organization is currently torn between its relations with Iran and its growing need to negotiate with opposing Lebanese parties.

In an attempt to stir things up and broaden the conflict, Syria did not shy away from an opportunity to mention that it possessed chemical weapons and may transfer a part of its stock to its Lebanese ally. While many see this as a common attempt to deter anyone from meddling in its affairs by drawing a tacit red line, the act itself reveals a lot about Syria’s brinksmanship policy of making Hezbollah part of the conflict equation. Apart from explicitly pledging its support to Bashar Assad, Hezbollah is actively participating in Syrian infighting as a number of its operatives are conducting support missions inside the Syrian territory.

Embattled Syria shows signs that it is desperately trying to capitalize on Hezbollah’s renowned power of nuisance. Proof of this lies in the fact that Syrian troops regularly cross the border into Lebanon and cause sensible damage. The same logic applied when Syria incited its citizens to protest against Israel on Nakba day, which led to a number of incidents. Assad’s regime knows very well that Lebanon’s political scene is deeply divided by the revolt and it is making great efforts to use it to its advantage.

Further integration of Hezbollah within the Lebanese state appears as something inevitable if the terrorist movement wants to survive the current crisis. However, under the present circumstances, Lebanon simply lacks the means to create a successful deal.

If the Lebanese government is ever to deliver successful negotiations, the boundaries that used to separate Hezbollah from the state would become even blurrier and in the next round of violence, it will be very difficult for Israel to draw the line between governmental forces and terrorist guerrilla units. To make things even more complicated, Hezbollah will most likely want to hide its strategic arsenal from the state and for this it can be anticipated that long range missiles will be moved further into Shia dominated urban environments bringing civilians closer to the frontline.

In the midst of increasing regional tensions, Hezbollah’s endeavor to cling on to power by way of restructuring its forces as well as the internal Lebanese power plays must be followed with the outmost attention. This remains true insofar as designing an optimal defense strategy for the northern region will in the near future depend in part on the state-militia relations brokered in Beirut.

Why US won’t attack Iran

Op-ed: Americans weary of war in distant countries; changing Democratic Party less supportive of Israel

The violent protests that erupted in the Arab and Islamic world recently serve as a reminder to the US of what may happen should it attack Iran. If this was the reaction to a primitive movie about the prophet Mohammed, how will the Muslims respond to a strike on Iran’s nuclear installations? It is safe to assume that in such an event the Sunni-Shia divide won’t serve as a moderating factor. Even if Israel launches a go-it-alone attack, the US will be accused at least of assisting the Jewish state – if not of actually taking part in the strike – and will be exposed to more acts of terror.

The Obama administration’s fear of a rift with the Muslim world was evident in the numerous conciliatory statements made by the American president during his speech before the UN General Assembly. He dedicated a significant part of his address to lauding the revolutions which swept the Arab world over the past year and stressed Washington’s support for the uprisings. At the same time, he addressed the Iranian crisis only briefly.

The US has a number of reasons not to attack Iran. These are some of them:

1. Since the Vietnam War the US has not gone to war without an international coalition, although it has always shouldered most of the burden. This was the case in the Gulf War, the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan and the campaigns in the former Yugoslavia and in Libya. Obama was criticized for leading the NATO forces’ victory in Libya ‘from afar,’ and some considered this to be his new doctrine. Even during the invasion of the island of Grenada in 1983 President Reagan had a small coalition. Obama will need a much broader coalition of nations to share the military and economic burden of an attack on Iran, but the chances that he will succeed in forming such a coalition for a war that will mostly benefit Israel are slim. In 1967, President Johnson failed to form an international force to break the naval siege of Eilat. Even if Obama does succeed, the process will be long and will not coincide with Netanyahu’s timetable.

2. Just like Israel’s security establishment, the American security establishment is not interested in a war in Iran at this juncture. The recent statements made by the chairman of the US military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff and by the defense secretary have made this abundantly clear. The opposition to an attack stems mainly from the fact that the US armed forces are spread out in a number of countries and are worn out after 10 consecutive years of fighting. The US Army is also fearful of budget cuts that would make it difficult to replenish its arsenal after any campaign against Iran.

3. A sharp rise in the price of oil, which would almost certainly follow any attack on Iran, would severely hurt the US economy. Such a development would hinder Obama’s plans to rescue the American economy from the current crisis. The cost of a war on Iran would also increase the US’ national debt, which currently tops $16 trillion.

4. While the average American is hostile to the Iranian regime, the majority of the US public has grown weary of war, particularly in distant countries, and is no longer interested in being the ‘world’s police officer.’ Israel’s harsh threats have made Iran’s nuclear program an Israeli problem, and despite the support for the Jewish state among Conservatives and Evangelicals, recent polls show that 60-70% of Americans are against going to war with Iran.

5. Within the Democratic Party, the traditional pro-Israel consensus between the workers’ unions and the liberal camp is dissipating, to some extent due to Israel’s policy vis-à-vis the Palestinians. Moreover, many Jewish supporters of the Democratic Party are disgusted by what they view as the domination of religion, racism and nationalism over the Jewish state. The party’s character is changing with the addition of many African-Americans and Hispanics, who do not support Israel. The omission of language declaring Jerusalem as the capital of Israel from the Democratic Party’s platform is indicative of this trend. Due to demographic changes, if he is reelected Obama will have difficulties waging a war that appears to be an Israeli interest without the support of his party, at the very least. It must also be remembered that Obama believes in diplomatic solutions to international disputes and also seeks reconciliation with the Muslim world.

There is no doubt that Obama wants to stop Iran from building a nuclear bomb, but he has many reasons not to employ military force to achieve this goal. We shouldn’t expect Romney to act any different if he is elected president.

The new Egyptian terrorist: Young, educated father

Contrary to previous assessments, attack that left IDF Corporal Nettanel Yahalomi dead was not work of Bedouins, but of family men no one suspected as Jihad supporters

Israel and Egypt are both investigating the border clash that claimed the life of IDF Corporal Netanel Yahalomi in mid September. Recent information, however, has lead to the conclusion that the attack was not the work of radical Bedouins, but of Egyptian family men no one suspected were Jihad supporters.

The last few days have seen the Egyptian media try to uncover as much information about the two known terrorist. The identity of the third gunmen is still unknown, as his remains have made the identification process difficult.

Egypt’s media maintains that the information discovered so far will surprise not only Cairo’s intelligence services, but their Israeli counterparts, as well.

The two known gunmen have been identified as Ahmad Wajiya, 31, the lead singer of a religious music group and a father of two; and his cousin, Bahaa Zakzuk, 25, who holds a degree in literature and was the father of a little boy.

According to Egypt’s Al-Yum Al-Saba newspaper, the two lived in the Mit Hakan neighborhood of El-Manuffia region.

Both were considered to be members of a respectable, upscale Egyptian family. Egyptian authorities believe both turned into radical Jihadists after becoming members of an extremist mosque in Cairo. They told their families they were attending a religious summer camp.

‘The ‘new terroist’

The information revealed by the Egyptian authorities so far compiles a new profile of Egyptian terrorists – a new threat Israel will have to deal, against the backdrop of the lax security at the Sinai Peninsula.

The two’s story, as revealed Saturday by Cairo’s Al-Aharam newspaper, raises several concerns about this new brand of potential threat.

Zakzuk, a literature graduate of El-Manuffia University, married and a father; was the youngest child of a devout family. One of his sisters is married to a known Islamic preacher.

A former member of the Muslim Brotherhood, he recently joined the Salafi movement headed by presidential hopeful Hazam Abu-Ismail.

Wajiya, married and father of two daughters, was the elder brother in his family. Relatives said he was musically gifted and performing in religious events as the lead singer of the Islamic band “A-Nur.”

“Victims of perverted ideas”?

The Mit Hakan neighborhood has been in mourning since the attack, the residents refusing to believe the two’s devotion led them down a radical path.

Egyptian media quoted Morsi Abdel Halak, the two’s uncle as saying that they were victims of organizations spreading extreme religious ideas: “These ideas quickly took over their minds.”

Halak urged authorities to fight these ideas, saying that mosques spreading them “kidnapped Bahaa Zakzuk and Ahmad Wajiya from the bosoms of their families.” The cousins were recruited by senior member of the Ansar Beit el-Makdas organization via the internet, he said.

Al-Aharam quoted another relative as saying that Wajiya and Zakzuk were recruited by an individual he referred to as “the missing link” in the investigation, who sent them to a mosque known for its extremist teachings, located at the Nasar neighborhood in Cairo.

Wajiya and Zakzuk reportedly spent months at the mosque prior to the Sinai attack. Their families knew only that they were attending a “religious summer camp.”
Cairo perplexed by Sinai situation

The terror activity emanating from the heart of Egypt – and not the know terror hubs of Sinai – is causing great embarrassment to the new regime, and is a great cause for concern in Israel, as well.

Professor Yoram Meital, an expert in Middle Eastern affairs from Ben-Gurion University, who specializes in Egypt, claims Egyptian intelligence must focus its action at the heart of Egypt.

“Security and public order systems collapsed with Mubarak’s downfall, causing all sorts of extremists groups, previously lacking a framework, to find a new arena of operation.

“There are plenty of voices and preachers holding extreme views that have found new audiences since Mubarak’s downfall, because the pressure once applied by the Egyptian intelligence services has loosened nearly completely.”

Even since Egypt’s new president Mohammed Morsi was elected, Meital added, he has been trying to convey that in spite of the fact that Egypt is now ruled by Islamic movement, he has no intentions of giving the various Jihad groups a carte blanche.

“Cairo’s intelligence is slowly trying to regain control but it is a very tough battlefield. It will take them long time to deal with it, though the effects of harsher court sentences and intelligence supervision is starting to show.”

Prior to the end of the Mubarak regime radical movements in Egypt operated under larger proxies, such as the al-Gama’a al-Islamiya movement, but since the revolution, local and junior operatives have begun using Jihad rhetoric, sprouting the “lone wolf” phenomenon, he added

“Wajiya and Zakzuk have families, and are not 18 years old boys acting out on momentary enthusiasm. The collapsing order enabled people with extreme views to operate, the fringe of which we are seeing now.”

Asked how will the Morsi administration deal with the situation, Meital said: “I assume we shall see more and more collisions between local Jihad groups and the Muslim Brotherhood’s regime.”
