Philippians 2:5 – Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
All believers are crucified with Jesus by their faith in the grace of God in the sinless life and works of the Second Adam made by God in the womb of the Virgin Mary. Jesus is the sinless man in perfect flesh, who came as a man to fulfill His role or office as the Son of the living God. In Jesus dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. He now sits in heaven as the glorified man, resurrected from the dead, with all the tittles Isaiah wrote he would possess. The Zeal of the LORD of Hosts has, is, and will perform this.
Isaiah 7:14 – Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Luke 11:29,30 – And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. [30] For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
Isaiah 9:6,7 – For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. [7] Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
All believers are instantly saved by grace through faith in the life and the works of the resurrected man who is God, Christ Jesus.
Galatians 2:20,21 – I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. [21] I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
The believer will never again come under the condemnation of God after he or she has believed by being born again from above.
John 3:7 – Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
So how is one born again from above by grace through faith by an act of God?
John 3:14,15 – And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Believer’s exercise a faith that receives Christ Jesus resurrected alive from the dead and glorified to be the one God in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily.

John 13:30-32 – He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.
[31] Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him. [32] If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.

John 10:30,31 – I and my Father are one. [31] Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Colossians 2:9,10 – For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. [10] And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
Believers receiving Jesus as their Savior never go back under the condemnation of God for sin. Nothing can ever separate them from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus.
John 3:18,16,17 – He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 5:24 – Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Romans 8:38,39 – For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
BELIEVERS IN CHRIST WILL GO TO LIVE IN HEAVEN FOREVER, BUT MOST DO NOT LET THE MIND OF CHRIST DEVELOP CHRISTIAN WAYS IN THEM. IF THEY FAIL TO SERVE HIM IT WILL AFFECT WHERE THEY LIVE IN HEAVEN AS WELL AS THE DEGREE TO WHICH THEY REIGN IN SERVING THE LORD.
II Timothy 2:11,12 – It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: [12] If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: Galatians 6:7 – Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (A warning to believers who do not seek to live Christ-like Lives).
II Timothy 3:12 –Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
Revelation 22:14 – Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

I retired from the National Security Agency USAF Branch in 1971. I’ve lost count of the many times I wrote about one thing l learned while serving in the NSA. It was ingrained in me like granite cut with a diamond headed chisel. It was a principle that had been in place since before our forefathers framed the Constitution. It was simply this:
WHATEVER OUR COUNTRY’S ELECTED OR APPOINTED OFFICIALS DO, IT IS TO BE DONE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PEOPLE OF THE NATION ITSELF, OR IN A SHORTER STATEMENT – THEIR MOTIVATION SHOULD BE TO DO WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA’S “NATIONAL INTEREST”!
One could go back through the history of American politicians and find some who always seemed to put the national interest first, even thought they knew it would cause them not to be reelected, and others did most of the time, and some did part of the time, and some did once in a while, but I never dreamed an American President would be elected who is now putting his reelection before anything standing in his way come Hades or high tide.
I certainly am aware that all political parties have followed this pattern since our first president, and that it has become more corrupt in a pure interpretation of a constitution with the passage of time, and I will also admit as a conservative that my motivations have not always been desired for the “national interest.” I was a conservative Democrat until they began to run out of conservative candidates after Harry Truman. Now, I am just a man who votes for the one he believes is the best conservative minded candidate with a motivation of doing what is based for America’s NATIONAL INTEREST. Since 2008 I have come to believe President Obama has never had the NATIONAL INTEREST of the United States of America as his motivation in being its President. But I admit only God cane see a man’s heart. However, if my opinion is not correct, he must certainly be the most inept arrogant novice, who knows how to campaign and be reelected by cunning gross misrepresentations and deceit, that ever held the office of an American President.
President Obama and his elected or appointed officials cry out they are “balanced and responsible” in every thing they do, but are neither balanced nor responsible in their political solutions or activities.
A NEW DEFINITION OF “NATIONAL INTEREST” IS “DO AND SAY ANYTHING NECESSARY TO KEEP YOURSELF AND YOUR PARTY IN PUBLIC OFFICE.”

Russian radar in Armenia to block an US/Israeli strike on Iran from the north

Moscow has stepped into the vacuum created by US President Barack Obama’s decision to stay out of any potentially incendiary Middle East involvement while campaigning for a second term. After blocking the way to direct Western and Arab military intervention in Syria through the Mediterranean, Russia sent its Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov last week on a round trip to the capitals of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan – an expedition designed to secure Iran against a potential US/Israeli attack via its northern and eastern neighbors, DEBKAfile’s military sources report.
On his return to Moscow, April 6, the Russian army let it be known that highly-advanced mobile S-400 surface-to-air missiles had been moved into Kaliningrad, the Baltic enclave bordered by Poland and Lithuania, its response to US plans for an anti-Iran missile shield system in Europe and the Middle East.
In Yerevan, the Russian minister finalized a deal for the establishment of an advanced Russian radar station in the Armenian mountains to counter the US radar set up at the Turkish Kurecik air base, our sources disclose.
Just as the Turkish station (notwithstanding Ankara’s denials) will trade data on incoming Iranian missiles with the US station in the Israeli Negev, the Russian station in Armenia will share input with Tehran.
Moscow remains deeply preoccupied in Syria, successfully fending off Western and Arab pressure against its ruler Bashar Assad. DEBKAfile’s sources hear that Assad will not meet the April 10 deadline for moving his heavy armor and battalions out of Syrian cities. Monday, April 8, he sent his foreign minister Walid Moallem to Moscow for instructions for getting him off the hook of failing to comply with his commitment to the UN envoy Kofi Annan’s peace plan, starting with a truce.

For the first time since the Cold War ended, the management of a major world crisis has passed into the hands of the Kremlin in Moscow and the UN Secretariat in New York.

Weeping crocodile tears, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said Saturday that the April 10 date for a Syrian truce “was not an excuse for continued killing” by the Syrian regime, ignoring the fact that “the continued killing” could have been avoided were it not for the strategy pursued by Kofi Annan, the special envoy he shares with the Arab League, with Moscow’s back-stage wire-pulling.

After brutalizing his population for thirteen months, Bashar Assad is more or less on top of the revolt in Syria’s main cities, excepting the Idlib province and one or two pockets in and around Homs. He used the extra days afforded him by Kofi Annan’s deadline for the ruthless purge of the last remnants of resistance in small towns and villages, cetain that Moscow, the UN secretary – and Washington, by default – would do nothing to stop him.
Should current circumstances shoot off in unforeseen directions – for instance, a Syrian government poison chemical or biological weapon attack causing hundreds of dead, over and above the 9,000 confirmed by UN figures – Obama might be forced to resort to limited military action, pulling in the Turkish army. This has not yet happened.
That the Russians are not letting the grass grow under their feet, turning Middle East bushfires to their advantage and closing one American Middle East option after another, appears to be a minor consideration in Washington up until November.

God will Protect and Redeem a Jewish Negev Tribulation Remnant – Part 3

Revelation 12:4 – And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
Continuing with the exposition of the twelfth chapter of the book of Revelation, we find that a bit of Satan’s past history is revealed. We are informed that when Satan fell by sin about one-third of the angels (stars) chose to follow his leadership. By the pulling power of his tail, much like some officials ride into public office on the political coattails of a stronger candidate, one-third of the angels exercised their free will and chose to follow Satan, rather than God. They are forever sealed in their free will choice, just as my soul is sealed in its free will choice to trust in Jesus until my body is redeemed at the rapture.
Ephesians 4:30 – And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day

of redemption.
The prophet Isaiah graphically portrays the ancient fall of the beautiful angel Lucifer.
Isaiah 14:12 – How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Since Lucifer’s fall he has a new name – Satan. Lucifer means “shining one,” while Satan means “the hater, accuser, or the adversary.” One primary goal existed in Satan’s plan after his fall – to prevent the birth of an heir who could legitimately take away his earthly spiritual and material kingdom. Verse four presents a picture of fallen Lucifer as a dragon, standing before the woman Israel, determined to kill the heir as soon as he was born.
Revelation 12:5 – And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
The woman Israel is symbolized as the earthly wife of God. So here is the picture presented in verse five – Satan’s greatest fear is realized – the symbolized wife of God gives birth to God’s Son through a direct descendant of Israel, the virgin Mary, who has all the correct genealogical credentials from Seth to Heli via Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, David, and Zerubbabel. Beginning with Herod, Satan attempted to destroy the Son both spiritually and physically. Finally, he thought he had destroyed him physically on the cross, but God completely turned the tables on Satan, and openly revealed the great mystery of all the ages to all the world – the great mystery of Christ crucified for all the sins of all who would believe he alone was the total price for completed salvation, and that he alone, with no additional requirements from the recipients, was the provider by His one time sacrifice for all sins.
I Corinthians 1:17,18 + 2:2,5 – For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. [18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. [2] For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. [5] That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
God shocked Satan! He took Israel’s sinless “man child” of verse five, and “her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” God resurrected His child, Jesus Christ, and He is in heaven today as the eternal Son of God. He was “caught up unto God, and to his throne” more than 2000 years ago in prophetic years of 360 days, and He is still there. Soon, the woman of chapter twelve is going to have to flee for her life during the Tribulation Period.

Syria Upgrading Military Capabilities

Syria recently declared two new Russian-made SA-17 surface-to-air missile batteries operational and deployed them along Syria’s border with Lebanon. The truck-mounted mobile SA-17 has a range of 30 km.
Syria has also tested the Yakhnot anti-ship missile in recent maneuvers, a sophisticated missile with a range of 300 km. The Israeli Navy is concerned about the possibility that it will also be transferred to Hizbullah.
In recent months, Hizbullah is believed to have obtained several dozen more M-600 long-range missiles, as well as additional 302 mm. Khaibar-1 rockets, which have a range of about 100 km.
Hizbullah already has a significant arsenal of M600s, which are manufactured in Syria as a clone of Iran’s Fateh-110, and have a range of 300 km.

God will Protect and Redeem a Jewish Negev Tribulation Remnant – Part 2

Revelation 12:1-3 – And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: [2] And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. [3] And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

We fully exposited on verses one and two in Part 1, and proved that the “woman” represents Israel, and that an Israelite woman, the virgin Mary, was chosen by God to bear the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

EIGHT FALSE BEAST KINGDOMS THAT ARE COUNTED AS SEVEN

In verse three we find the great adversary of the woman and her man child. Their adversary is the great red dragon, the fallen archangel Lucifer, whom the world knows today as Satan. He is portrayed as being made red with the blood of the prophets and other saints he has caused to be slain. His seven heads represent the kings of the six great world governments that have persecuted Israel in the past, and one that will persecute her in the future. The persecution began with the Egyptian Pharaoh of the Exodus, and will end with her persecution in the Negev Wilderness by the antichrist. The six kings that persecuted her in the past represented the following nations in chronological order: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Italy. The king and kingdom that represented the seventh was the vast Umayyad Islamic Caliphate which came after John wrote Revelation and continued for a short space. The eighth Kingdom will also be Islamic and its Caliph will be the Antichrist.

Revelation 17:10 – And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

EIGHT BEAST KINGDOMS AFFECTING GOD’S CHOSEN ISRAEL

ANTICHRIST WILL LEAD THE 8TH ISLAMIC BEAST THAT CAME OUT OF THE 7TH ISLAMIC UMAYYAD BEAST. HE IS DEPICTED AS THE BEAST ITSELF.

Revelation 19:19,20 – And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

REVELATION 13:1 – And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

The Sea is the Mediterranean, on which the great Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Grecian, Roman, and Islamic ships of the past have sailed.

The beast is a combination of eight kingdoms of man associated with this sea. All of the kingdoms have or will affect the people of Israel. The first seven have already affected Israel since the time God began to raise them as his people in Egypt.

The seven heads represent the seven evil kingdoms of man under which Israel has been affected since God delivered her from Egyptian bondage. The seven kingdoms in chronological order are: the Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Grecian, Roman, and Islamic Kingdoms.

The seventh kingdom was the first great Islamic Umayyad Empire (Caliphate) that stretched from Spain across Northern Africa and the Middle East to India. It was the seventh empire which died but will be resurrected by the Islamic Antichrist to be the eighth, having the same type of religion as the seventh. The Koran written by Muhammad is the spirit of Islam and the spirit of Antichrist.

Islam believes that Jesus was the son of the Virgin Mary, but didn’t die on the cross.
Islam believes he ascended alive into heaven and will return to the earth after the Islamic Messiah. Islam does not believe he is the Son of God, which is the essence of the spirit of Antichrist.

I John 5:9-12 – If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. [10] He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

The ten horns are ten Islamic kings that will join with the Antichrist in the final Islamic Kingdom to attack Israel and drive her into the Negev for some three and one-half years. Their ten crowns represent their power which will be surrendered to the Antichrist.

7 Greek letters in (CH/R)/I)/S/(T)/O)/S), make one for each head, and Antichrist claims to be God, which is the ultimate blasphemy.

REVELATION 13:2 – And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

First, John works backward to the kingdom from which Daniel was writing while in captivity, the Kingdom of Babylonia. John is writing during the time of the sixth head, the Roman Kingdom, the strange fourth beast of Daniel 7 with iron teeth and brass feet, so he does not mention it, but goes back to the Grecian Kingdom (leopard) crushed by the brass feet of the Iron Roman Kingdom Beast, then proceeds back to the Persian Kingdom (bear) the Grecian Kingdom overran, and finally gets back to the time of Daniel’s writing in the Babylonian Kingdom Lion.

The dragon (Satan) also has seven heads, ten horns, and ten crowns, which represent the same things as the beast of Revelation 13:1.

Revelation 12:3 – And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

The Devil’s kingdom has been located in the great Tigris-Euphrates River Valley since Adam’s fall in the Garden of Eden.

Genesis 10:6-11 – And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. [7] And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. [8] And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. [9] He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord. [10] And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. Genesis 11:1-4,8 – And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. [2] And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. [3] And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. [4] And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. [8] So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

All the heads on John’s Revelation had their own false gods and religious systems, but no two were exactly the same, except the last two. They were the same, with the same Allah god, and the same Prophet Muhammad, hence they are counted as numbering seven. To make it more specific historically, listed as false religion heads, they were the Egyptian Head, the Assyrian Head, the Babylonian Head, the Persian Head, the Grecian Head, the Roman Head, and the Islamic Head.

The seven kings are the seven governmental heads on the red dragon. All seven wear crowns given to them by Satan because he personally brought them to power during their lifetimes. The first six kings came from the six great world empires of the past beginning with the Pharaohs of the Egyptian bondage, and ending with the empire that was still in existence in John’s day, the great Roman Empire. In John’s day all the learning and expertise of the previous five great empires had been passed on to the sixth empire of iron – the Roman Empire. The last of these empires, the Antichrist’s, will have incorporated all the accumulated knowledge of the ages from Satan’s previous secular empires. In the Bible, governments are frequently referred to as “mountains.” This final government of the antichrist will be the seventh “mountain,” and it will have the political support of the great apostate system of religion known as the “whore of Babylon.” She will verbally support the 10 Arab nations in their Jihad against Israel, but she will ride to her destruction on their back. And, after she rides high because of the antichrist’s early successes, the 10 Arab nations, who have always hated her, will turn on her and burn the thousands of her churches scattered across their domains.

Revelation 17:3-6,16-18 – So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. [4] And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: [5] And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS

OF THE EARTH. [6] And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. [16] And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. [17] For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. [18] And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.

There was only one city that met this criteria in John’s day, the great city of Rome.

However, I would not be shocked if the Woman on the Scarlet Beast represents all the historical false gods of the Seven Heads on the Beast, which counts the seventh as the same false god Allah.

John 4:24 – God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
The entire Islamic system of worship and its sharia law is a large part of a strong delusion. It is the spirit of Antichrist finally reaching its fullness at the revealing of the Wicked One. God will send a strong delusion to cause all false religious systems to believe a lie. Another part of that delusion may be a fake resurrection of a Mahdi Antichrist who is supposedly wounded to death by a weapon of war in the initial attack, which will reveal him as “that Wicked.” And the False Prophet will testify “that Wicked” to be Allah incarnate in sinless flesh. It is also possible Islam may believe the False Prophet is Jesus Christ. Islam teaches Jesus did not die in the flesh, and is still alive in the

flesh in heaven today. Muhammad never performed miracles, but Jesus did, and the Devil’s False Prophet will be able to perform what men classify as miracles.
Revelation 13:3-6,11-14 – And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. [4] And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? In a June 11, 2011 article on the website of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, veteran movement member Sheikh Ahmad Gad argued that the implementation of shari’a in Egypt must be achieved gradually, by preparing the peoples’ hearts and minds for it and introducing it in stages. He proposed learning from the methods of the early Muslim Brotherhood, which worked in a step-by-step fashion, and called on Al-Azhar to focus on promoting the implementation of shari’a.
The following are excerpts from the article:
“There Is No Hope for Reform Without a Return to Divine Rule”
“Following the blessed popular revolution on January 25, 2011, there was a debate between the majority, which hopes and yearns for the implementation of Allah’s shari’a, and the minority, which uses Islam as a tool of intimidation and fears the Islamists and a return to the Middle Ages.
“This minority, which denies the results of the referendum while calling for democracy, is made up of those who oppose a religious state or a caliphate state, and advocate a return to the tyrannical secular regime that corrupted the land and the people – a minority [that receives] prominent media coverage…
“Islamic shari’a ruled for centuries, but became distant and absent for centuries more. The various forms of imperialism were a burden on the [Muslim] nation in various ways, and caused people to change… In that dark period, the state alternately mimicked Eastern and Western regimes. Corruption developed, grew, and accumulated… [Nowadays], there is no hope for reform without a return to divine rule, which the Creator chose for man. This nation will have no chance of success, [except] by that which caused it to succeed in its beginning.
“[However,] we must not impose Islamic shari’a, forcing the people to adopt something about which they are ignorant and with which they are unfamiliar… If we do this, [various] ploys will be used to circumvent it, and there will be hypocrisy. [People] will exhibit Islamic [behavior] only outwardly…
“Noah, peace be upon him, received a clear sign, a stark vision, a prophecy, and mercy that his people did not understand… Noah could not force or impose [his faith upon the people]. He determined the principle of choosing [one’s] faith [as a result of] persuasion and reflection, [instead of] oppression, authority, condescension, and coercion. [The Koran] says: ‘O my people! Tell me, if I have with me clear proof from my Lord, and He has granted me mercy from Himself, and it has been made obscure to you; shall we force you to (accept) it while you are averse to it?’ [Koran 11:28]
“Gradual Action Does Not Impose Islam at Once – But Rather Step by Step”
“There is no other way but gradual action, preparing the [people’s] souls and setting an example, so that faith will enter their hearts… Gradual action does not impose Islam at once, but rather step by step, in order to facilitate understanding, studying, acceptance, and submission.
“[Allah] the Exalted said: ‘And those who disbelieve say, Why was the Koran not revealed to him [i.e., to the Prophet] all at once? [So] that We may strengthen thereby your heart’ [Koran 25:32]. The Koran was sent down in parts over 23 years, according to the events, the circumstances, and the laws that these [circumstances] entailed, and in order to strengthen [people’s] hearts and make it easier [for them] to memorize and understand [the Koran]. And this [verse] is the ultimate proof: ‘And it is a Koran which We have revealed in portions so that you may read it to the people by slow degrees…’ [Koran 17:106].
“The Prophet, peace be upon him, acted in a gradual manner, by first preparing the people, and then [preparing] family, society, state, and finally the caliphate… This gradual method is also employed in the Koran [itself] with respect to the prohibition on [drinking] wine…[3] It was also employed in presenting the duties of Islam… First, there were two prayers – at noon and in the evening – and after people grew accustomed to them, Allah ordered five prayers during the day and night…
“At the [Muslim Brotherhood’s] fifth conference, [the movement’s founder,] Imam [Hassan] Al-Banna, spoke about gradual action and reliance on education, and clarified the stages [of implementing the shari’a]. They [i.e., the movement’s founding members] believed that da’wa must come in phases: The phase of reading, learning the idea, and delivering it to the public; the phase of forming [the idea]; and the phase of implementation, work and results. At that same conference, Al-Banna said, addressing the hasty: ‘Listen to what I say in a loud, resounding voice: This way of yours, whose phases are written and whose boundaries are defined, is long, but there is no alternative [way]. I am not with those who want to pick the fruit before it has ripened. Those who wait patiently for the seed to sprout, the tree to grow, the fruit to ripen, and the harvest to arrive – their reward will be with Allah… May that be the payment of those who do good.'”
The Islamic Streams Should Unite to “Restore the Caliphate”
“I ask the honorable Al-Azhar to rally the Islamic streams in order to unite the Muslim word and effort, restore the caliphate, and prepare a practical plan to implement the law of Allah the Exalted. This is the goal of the honorable Al-Azhar and of all Islamic streams. And Allah will help.
“O Allah, guide us, open our hearts to faith, and restore this [Muslim] nation to its previous self – one united nation worshipping You and You alone.”

[2] This refers to the March 30, 2011 referendum on a series of constitutional amendments which limited the president to two terms in office, enabled independent candidates to run for president, removed restrictions on the establishment of political parties, and set the parliamentary elections to September 2011. Though the referendum did not deal with the country’s religious identity, Muslim Brotherhood propaganda created the impression that those who supported the amendments supported the religion, while those who opposed them, opposed the religion. Suleiman gives up presidential bid over Islamist foothold in young army elite

Former Egyptian intelligence strongman Gen. Omar Suleiman’s decision, finalized Thursday, April 5, to drop out of the presidential race in the June election shocked Washington and Jerusalem and dashed their hopes of a figure capable of halting or at least offsetting the Muslim Brotherhood’s monopoly of power in post-Mubarak Egypt. The Supreme Military Council ruling Egypt, the SCAF, concluded in a series of secret conferences that Brotherhood and radical lslamist power had become unstoppable, DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources report.
SCAF chairman Field Marshal Mohammed Tantawi and Egyptian Chief of Staff Gen. Sami Annan confronted the generals at those meetings with two options:
To run Gen. Suleiman as the army’s candidate for president and throw all the military’s organizational and financial resources behind the bid for a ruler most of whose career had been devoted to fighting the Muslim Brotherhood and Muslim extremists: or –
To stand aside and let El-Shater attain the presidency. Four months after the poll, Tantawi and nearly half of the SCAF generals are due to retire. The logic behind this plan is that in July it becomes the turn of a new elite of young generals move in and take over their mission of preserving Egyptian military’s supremacy over the political system of government which will by then be dominated by the Muslim Brotherhood.
Both these proposals were rejected after Gen. Suleiman and Gen. Murad Muwafi, head of intelligence, gave the generals a dose of the new reality. No one could count on the future elite of young generals not having been secretly penetrated by the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist groups, they said. Both knew of five or six young officers who were maintaining secret ties with the Brotherhood and its presidential candidate Khaiter El-Shater.
Suleiman was therefore skeptical about his prospects. Even if he did win the election, he said, as president he would be outflanked and tied hand and foot by the combined force of the Muslim Brotherhood and their allies in the high military command.
Our sources report that the revelation of Islamist infiltration of the Egyptian officer elite came as a shock to Washington and Jerusalem, where it had been hoped that Gen. Suleiman would ride into the presidency and stall the Muslim Brotherhood’s spreading domination of Egypt.
Some senior Israeli security and intelligence officials still refuse to take Omar Suleiman’s retirement from the race as final.
Iran ducks away from nuclear talks. Moscow: Mid East at boiling point

Iranian spokesmen are maneuvering for a postponement of the nuclear negotiations with world powers set to take place April 13-14 in Istanbul, DEBKAfile’s Iranian sources report. It is feared in Washington and Jerusalem that Tehran is working toward two goals: To have the venue removed from Istanbul and to buy a couple more months before the diplomatic crunch, considering that the US and Israel are treating the April talks as the last chance for diplomacy to reverse Iran’s drive for a nuclear weapon. A postponement would therefore delay any military option that Israel or possibly America would choose to exercise.
The Iranians want the site moved to Moscow, Vienna or Geneva, a change opposed by Washington because it would consume several more months before the talks got started. Tehran is also signaling through Moscow that it is not prepared for the diplomatic dialogue to take place under military threat or economic sanctions.
While Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu refrained from mentioning military options in presenting his government’s three-year record Tuesday, April 3 – ignoring the three large-scale military movements afoot by the US, Russia, Turkey, Syria, Greece – and Israel itself, Moscow is talking about an imminent military conflagration as a result of the continuing US and Israeli military buildup in the Persian Gulf.
Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said Tuesday, April 3: “The Middle East standoff could boil over into military action at any moment.” Referring to the massing of military and naval forces in the Persian Gulf, he said: The pot can explode if the diplomatic valve is not opened.”
He made no mention of the scheduled April 13-14 nuclear talks. One of the most influential figures in today’s Tehran Mohsen Rezaie was more explicit: “Given the fact that our friends in Turkey have failed to fulfill some of our agreements, the talks… had better be held in another friendly country.”
He did not specify which agreements Ankara had failed to meet, but his rejection of Istanbul as the venue for the talks was unqualified.
Strong criticism of the Erdogan government also came from a senior member of Iran’s parliamentary foreign policy and national security commission Esmaeel Kosari. He said during a visit to Azerbaijan:”Turkey serves as the United States and Israel’s messenger and mediator. The Turkish government will be hated by its citizens if it continues this role.”
In Iran’s political culture, neither of these men would have spoken without a green light from the office of the all-powerful supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Kosari’s mission in Baku was to investigate recent reports that Azerbaijan had given Israeli permission for its bases to be used by the Israeli Air Force in an attack on Iran.
Early Wednesday, April 4, Iraqi officials suddenly offered Baghdad as the venue for the forthcoming world power talks with Iran.
The US and Israel are certain to reject this offer because it would give Tehran the important edge of a key diplomatic event taking place on pro-Iranian soil.
