I am not saying Iranian President Ahmadinejad is Antichrist, the False Prophet, or John the Baptist.  All that I am saying is that he is assuredly trying to prepare the way for the traditional Shiite version of an Islamic Messiah, the Mahdi. 

There is no question that Mohammad’s Koran, and traditional sayings, were written hundreds of years after the completion of both the Old and New Testaments.  Having read the Koran, I can state with certainty that most of the Koran and traditional sayings were based on the Bible, but grotesquely distorted and theologically twisted to suit the mind of the false Islamic Prophet Mohammad.  Such is the case with the coming of the Islamic version of the Messiah, the Mahdi.  Most prophetic teachers believe the Antichrist will precede the second coming of Jesus Christ to attempt to duplicate and counterfeit what Scriptures say the Messiah will do, and the events surrounding his coming.  I believe the Islamic Mahdi will be the Antichrist. I’ve taught for 33 years Antichrist would come out of the Arab Middle East before the Second Advent of the true Messiah, Jesus Christ.

Christians have long been taught that their coming Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, was to be proceeded by a Prophet with the characteristics of Elijah, and that he would prepare the way before him.  Christians, in general, believe that John the Baptist was that Prophet.  John the Baptist was the Messenger, and Jesus was the Messenger who fulfilled the Covenant of Genesis 3:15 by the blood of innocent animals pictured in Genesis 3:21.  It is the same blood covenant he made with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the same covenant he fulfilled when he was cut-off (crucified) as prophesied in Daniel 9:27, and as actually occurred in John 19:30.  The Temple sacrifices and oblations were not accepted by God after Messiah withdrew the covenant from Israel, when they cut him off in the midst of the last seven years of Daniel’s 70^th week of years.

Genesis 3:15 – And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Genesis 3:21 – Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

Malachi 3:1 – Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.

John the Baptist was the messenger sent by God to prepare the way for Jesus Christ, who was the Lord Messiah, the Messenger of the O.T. Covenant.

Daniel 9:27 – And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.  (See “The 70 Weeks of Daniel’s Prophecy, Parts 1 through 9, in Prophecy Archive Updates 230B, 231, 231A, 231B, 232, 232A, 232B, 232C, and 233)

TEHRAN, Iran (CNN) — Iran’s new president has repeated a remark from a former ayatollah that Israel should be “wiped out from the map,” insisting that a new series of attacks will destroy the Jewish state, and lashing out at Muslim countries and leaders that acknowledge Israel.

The remarks by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad — reported by Islamic Republic News Agency — coincide with a month-long protest against Israel called “World without Zionism” and with the approach of Jerusalem Day.

World without Zionism is a nationwide event the planners intend to hold annually, and Ahmadinejad made the remarks during a meeting with protesting students at the Interior Ministry.

Ahmadinejad quoted a remark from Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of Iran’s Islamic revolution, who said that Israel “must be wiped out from the map of the world.”

The president then said: “And God willing, with the force of God behind it, we shall soon experience a world without the United States and Zionism,” according to a quote published by IRNA.

Tanter, President of the Washington-based Iran Policy Committee, said: “The Iranian leadership, particularly Ahmadinejad, welcome the apocalyptic vision of the return of the hidden Imam….After a period of great destruction, once the forces of evil are defeated, the so-called twelfth Imam is supposed to reign over a period of great prosperity.”

“When Ahmadinejad was mayor of Tehran, he set up an urban renewal program that would make it easier to facilitate the Mahdi’s return. He created passageways and roadways that would allow the Mahdi to return triumphantly.”

“Ahmadinejad was called the man of a thousand bullets. Because he would give the last bullet for someone who has been tortured, and primarily executed by firing squad. Ahmadinejad’s role was to put the last bullet in, in case the person was still squirming,” Tanter said.

“No conceivable positive or negative incentives will influence the leadership of the clerics and the Revolutionary Guards from acquiring nuclear weapons. They need nuclear weapons in order to facilitate the ideological precepts of the return of the Mahdi.”

Bahraini MP: Iran’s Islamic Democracy is exposed in its Dictatorial Hideousness

In a June 21, 2009 article in the Bahraini daily Akhbar Al-Khalij, Bahraini Shi’ite MP and columnist Samira Rajab lambasted the Iranian regime, particularly its top officials, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Her article, which included personal attacks on Iranian leaders, such as an allegation that Ahmadinejad is from a Jewish family and insults about Khamenei’s tearful June 19, 2009 speech, provoked much criticism among Iranian circles. The day after the article’s publication, the Bahraini Culture and Information Ministry banned distribution of the newspaper, citing “matters related to violation of the Publications Law.” However, the ban was reversed the following day.

In response to the incident, Samir Rajab said that she had received no formal complaint about her article, and that the authorities were entitled to shut down the daily “in order to protect the interests of the state.” She added, however, that such decrees undermined press freedom and freedom of expression. In response to the claim that her article could cause political tension between Bahrain and Iran, she stated, “What I said about Iran and its regime is not new, and has been the subject of intensive discussion even in Tehran itself. Even my claim about Ahmadinejad’s Jewish origins was made previously, by presidential candidate Mehdi Karroubi in a public debate.” At the same time, Rajab stressed that her articles reflected only her own opinions as a journalist, not those of the Bahraini parliament.

Because Iran Aims to Spread Its Ideology in the Arab World, It Is Our Duty to Alert the Public to the Nature of This Regime

“Had the [Islamic] Revolution and [Islamic] Republic confined themselves to their true dimensions and role in the world, and had they not purported to be divine and undertaken a missionary role, both religious and political, that transcends their [own] borders – then the [entire] Iranian issue would not have interested us.

“However, since they claim to have a metaphysical dimension and a missionary theocratic role of exporting [the revolution] to all the Arab and Muslim societies, it is our primary duty [as part of] the region’s media and political arena to take an interest in the Iranian issue and to alert public opinion to the real scope and role of the [Iranian] mullah-run regime.

“It is from this perspective that we have followed the Iranian regime in the past and will continue to follow it in the present and future.

“[The Iranians] have tried to stifle every voice that harms their ‘holy’ regime that is run by ‘saints.’ They have presented the leaders of this ‘holy’ republic as infallible, and the fathers of the ‘Islamic’ Revolution as Allah’s emissaries on earth. They have imbued their leader with the absolute authority of Allah, and they have prepared their ‘holy’ republic for the coming of the ‘Hidden Imam,’ [5] who, according to a 2006 prophecy by President [Ahmadinejad], was supposed to come within two years.

“The religious seminaries that support [the Iranian] regime have churned out thousands of robed, turbaned graduates [whose function is] to spread false concepts [such as] the ‘holiness’ of the republic, the infallibility of its founders and the [absolute] authority of its holy leader. [The Iranians] have raised the banner of the Islamic caliphate, and have spread their missionary propaganda throughout the world in order to disseminate their ‘sacred’ way and the tenets of their ‘divine’ revolution.

“They have distributed their ‘pure’ money among their allies in our [Arab] countries, in order to recruit supporters and undermine the security [of these countries]. [With their message of] infallible [leaders] who cannot be wrong, who never lie and who cannot be held to account, they [naturally managed to] recruit followers. Since money blinds people’s eyes, they managed to buy supporters and propagandists, and since religion and religious creeds are unbeatable weapons, they have used them to build strongholds in their own country and in ours.

“Thirty years – that is the age of the ‘holy’ [Islamic] Revolution, the republic of the Hidden Imam, the ‘Islamic’ democracy regime [with its] ‘infallible’ leaders. Thought this period, our Arab region has been in a state of constant war. It has suffered from constant political crises, discord and internal division, from political militarism, from sectarian-based recruitment [of the masses], and from [the practice of] hiding behind [religious] creeds and sacred [symbols]. Behind all of this is a blatant political goal that has nothing to do with religion or Islam.

“Suddenly, after 30 years, the truth about this holiness, this infallibility, and these infallible [leaders] has come to light… Iran’s Islamic democracy has been exposed in all its dictatorial hideousness. The fig leaf has fallen away, revealing the biggest political lie ever [invented] in the name of religion. The events that occurred following Iran’s recent presidential elections… and the images of barbaric oppression that accompanied them, revealed the hidden [true] face of the ‘Islamic’ Republic. The falseness of its sanctity was exposed to all, revealing the blood-soaked truth about this republic and this regime. The ‘pure’ revolution uncovered its fangs of oppression, the ‘holy’ republic was revealed as a fraud, and the infallible [leaders] were exposed as people who lie, cheat, arrest, and torture to protect their interests.”

“…[But] the fathers of Iran’s ‘Islamic’ revolution [really] showed their true face by perpetrating the greatest election fraud in history. I say ‘the greatest election fraud’ because most cheaters [arrange to] beat their opponents by a small margin of votes. This was the case with George Bush Jr., who won his first term in office by a single vote [cast] in a single state, as part of a big election fraud exposed by film director Michael Moore in his movie Fahrenheit 9/11. [But] Ahmadinejad was elected to a second term in office on June 12, 2009 by a margin of millions of fake votes, which boosted him from third place to first. This was confirmed by an Iranian Interior Ministry [source] who supervised the elections and was directly responsible for them. [6] [It is also confirmed by] the millions who took to the streets in Iran after the elections…

“…Let me also mention some of the events that accompanied these elections, which were reported by all the media outlets as well as on websites and in emails… [In these elections,] for the first time, leaders of the Iranian revolution questioned the religious roots of some of their fellow leaders. In a televised debate, Mehdi Karroubi referred to Ahmadinejad’s origins, [asking him]: ‘…What is your full name?’ His interlocutor answered, ‘I am Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,’ declining to mention his [real] last name. The Iranians know that [Ahmadinejad] comes from a Jewish family with a Jewish name, and Mehdi Karroubi attempted to reveal this to the public. [7]

“This was also the first time that the president of the Iranian republic revealed that some of the regime officials held fake diplomas, or [diplomas] granted by colleges that [grant them] easily. One such incident was when [Ahmadinejad] made allegations and questioned [the authenticity] of the Ph.D. of the wife of [presidential] candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi.

In an earlier incident… [the regime] had to justify its decision to retain Interior Minister Ali Kordan… when [Kordan’s] university diploma and credentials were revealed to be fake, Ahmadinejad [acknowledged] that ‘the diplomas of several regime officials are fake and worthless.’

“Also for the first time, [we] discovered the depth of the financial corruption of Iran’s ruling elite, and the involvement of the fathers of the revolution – including clerics, political leaders and their families – in this corruption and in stealing public funds. For the first time, Iranian presidential candidates revealed that [the leaders of] the regime are distributing [state] resources to organizations around the world, when in their own country poverty is spreading, development is failing, and eight million are unemployed – that is, unemployment is at over 30%.”

Iran’s Leaders Are Neither Holy Nor Infallible

“There is much to say about [the quality of] democracy in the ‘Islamic’ Republic. I will mention only two things. According to Article 57 of the Iranian constitution, the Supreme Leader – who is ‘the absolute religious leader and the Imam of the Nation’ – holds every [conceivable] authority, since he is in charge of the legislative, judicial and executive branches. Article 110 grants him every administrative and legislative authority, as well as the authority to appoint or dismiss any senior official in the state – from the president to the head of the broadcasting authority – and the right to ‘declare war and peace and [order] a general draft,’ and to resolve problems [that cannot be resolved by the Expediency Council in the usual manner].’

“These [constitutional] articles clarify the origin [of the problem] and explain the events that began on June 12, 2009 throughout Iran. Even if the mosque preachers of Qom try to conceal these events, and if [some of them] remain unknown in the coming time period, they will continue to seethe beneath the surface, preparing the ground for the next [outburst of] protest. After all, young people, women, and the elderly were suppressed, beaten and tortured in public; blood was spilled in the streets, and the regime provoked the youth, which constitutes two-thirds of the Iranian people.

“The most important point is the lies and falsehoods of all [the leaders] of this regime, which are meant to create a halo of sanctity around them and their regime, and which have been exposed by the [recent] events in the country. [These leaders] have turned out to be ordinary people, who, like everyone else, bear grudges, have interests, and [can be] involved in conflicts, corruption, lies, fraud, oppression, killing, and torture.

“The ayatollahs have lost their [halo of] religious immunity. The taboo [on questioning] their sanctity has been lifted, as has [the prohibition] on criticizing these religious authorities and holding them to account – [because] they are involved in politics, with all the depravity and earthly ambitions that that entails.

“This is the place to mention how saddening it was to see Supreme leader [Khamenei] in his June 19, 2009 political speech to worshippers at Tehran University, and to see him weep in the end, saying in Persian… ‘My life is worthless, my body is flawed,’ in a shameful attempt to move [the audience] and to arouse their religious sympathy. This was when the rest of his speech contained so many warnings and threats. The crowd responded with their own dramatic weeping.

“In sum, it can be said that on that day [June 12, 2009], the curtain came down on the penultimate episode of the clerics’ hegemony over our societies.”

Friday’s Parliamentary elections on March 2 made the Iranian President Ahmadinejad a lame duck president for the last two years of his current term.  I don’t think he is going to roll over and play dead.  I expect to see him participate in an inner hardliner struggle for power.

Ahmadinejad proposes ‘green’ energy to reduce pollution

Iranian President says every country should have access to new ‘green’ technologies such as sunlight, tidal force, nuclear power. Suggests 2011 as deadline for changing energy sources, reducing pollution

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Thursday that all countries must be able to use clean and renewable energy sources, including nuclear power.

“Every country should have access to new technologies in order to vary its energy resources,” he said.

Speaking at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Ahmadinejad noted that countries must put emphasis on developing energy using green sources such as sunlight, tidal force and nuclear power.

The Iranian president suggested setting the year 2011 as deadline for changing energy sources and reducing global pollution levels.

However, it is not clear whether Ahmadinejad’s “green” statements will be enough to keep the Western nations happy.

The White House announced on Wednesday that the Iranian long-range missile test had united the international community against the Islamic Republic, and blows out of the water Iran’s claims of a peaceful nuclear program.

Source: ‘Alarming’ secret document details Iran’s nuclear goals

London, England (CNN) — A secret document that appears to show that Iran was working on building nuclear weapons as recently as 2007 is “alarming” and “part of a body of evidence backing up deep concerns over Iran’s nuclear program,” a Western diplomatic source with knowledge of the papers told CNN on Monday.

The International Atomic Energy Agency, the United Nations nuclear watchdog, has a copy of the secret papers, which were also obtained by the Times of London, the source said.

IAEA officials confirm they are investigating the document but said they have not formally asked Iran for more information about it.

A top international nuclear expert said it seemed to point to Iranian efforts to build a bomb.

“The only realistic use of this is in a nuclear weapon,” said David Albright, the president of the Institute for Science and International Security.

“The fact that the document comes out at this time makes it very difficult for Russia and China not to go along with more sanctions.”

“It shows that either Iran is developing the capability [to build nuclear weapons] or it is moving to implement a bomb program — and either one is bad,” said Albright, who reviewed the document for the Times before the newspaper published its report Sunday.

But Albright warned that the document is edited and has no date on it. The source who gave it to the Times said it was from 2007, but neither the Times nor the ISIS was able to date it definitively, Albright said.

In Iran, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said the Times’ “claim that Iran is working on the final and important component of a nuclear bomb is false and not worth paying any attention to,” the semi-official Fars news agency reported.

“This type of statement is made in the media to put political and psychological pressure [on Iran] by the officials of various countries,” Mehmanparast said, according to the Fars report.

United States intelligence concluded in 2007 that Iran had suspended work on its nuclear weapons program in 2003.

In the National Intelligence Estimate released in December 2007, the US intelligence community dramatically reversed course from its 2005 evaluation. It expressed “high confidence” in 2005 that the Islamic Republic was working toward nuclear weapons, then two years later said — also with “high confidence” — that Iran had stopped its weapons program in 2003.

Iran denies seeking to build nuclear weapons, saying its nuclear program is to produce civilian energy and medical research.

But it is under intense pressure from the international community, with Britain and France saying last week they would push for stronger U.N. sanctions on Tehran.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton wouldn’t comment on the secret document Monday, but told reporters that concerns about Iran’s nuclear program “have been heightened already” in recent months after revelations of a once-secret nuclear enrichment facility near the Iranian city of Qom, and Iran’s Cabinet authorizing the construction of at least 10 new nuclear production facilities.

She said the Obama administration has taken a “dual-track” approach to Iran, including the offer of engagement and taking part in nuclear talks.

But I don’t think anyone can doubt that our outreach has produced very little in terms of any kind of positive response from the Iranians,” Clinton said, adding that the second approach — the international pressure — is key to pushing Iranian officials to change “their actions and decisions concerning the nuclear program.”

Mehrdad Khonsari, a former Iranian diplomat, says the revelation about the document “means, essentially … that the Iranians have been lying to everybody” when they said they were not seeking to build nuclear weapons.

Khonsari said it was no accident that this document appeared when it did.

“The fact that the document comes out at this time makes it very difficult for Russia and China not to go along with more sanctions,” he said. It would also make it easier for “Israel to go ahead with a unilateral strike” on Iran’s nuclear facilities, he added.

“The agenda will change as a result of the publication of this document unless the document is proven to be false by the Iranian authorities,” said Khonsari, who is now a senior research consultant at the Center for Arab and Iranian Studies.

Khonsari — who left Iran after the Islamic Revolution in 1979 — has not seen the original document but said the material published by the Times “is what an authentic document would look like.”

“It places pressure on the Iranian government to try to use what time remains to get out of this situation,” he said.

According to a report dated Monday on the Web site of Albright’s group, a neutron initiator is a critical component of a nuclear weapon. The ISIS report said the device “would most likely be placed at the center of a fission bomb made from weapon-grade uranium” and “works by the high explosives compressing the nuclear core and the initiator” to produce a “spurt of neutrons” as a result of fusion.

“The neutrons flood the core of weapon-grade uranium and initiate the chain reaction,” the ISIS report said.

Albright said the document described efforts to “research and test a neutron initiator,” a nuclear component for which he could not see “any civil use.”

“They appear to be doing the right things,” he said. “But you don’t know how it fits into a nuclear weapons program.”

He also said the public had failed to understand a key part of the debate about Iran’s nuclear program.

“It’s not whether there is something or nothing, but whether there is a capabilities focus or an actual decision to build nuclear weapons,” he said. “It’s not like an on-off switch, it’s like a dimmer control.”

The Iranian revolution is not over, but it has been successfully repressed by brutal bloody masses of Ahmadinejad’s radical murderous Shiite thugs.  It will continue to simmer behind closed doors from now until the government believes it will resurface on a scale that might overthrow it.  At that time Iran will use Hizbullah and Hamas to trigger a war with Israel in order to unite the Iranian people in a war against the nation of Israel.  If there is a danger of losing power, starting a war with enemies is a tried way of uniting all your internal enemies against a common foe.  I believe the excerpt from DEBKAfile, which immediately follows, has a good possibility of being valid, with a Middle East war eventually breaking out at some point in time between 2013 and 2015.

“Hizbullah has stretched, facilitated by Iran, across the Middle East, Central Asia, Europe and Latin America,” said Magnus Ranstorp, a terrorism expert at Sweden’s National Defense University. “It grants Iran global power and Hizbullah has become more susceptible to Iran’s efforts to project its influence.”   

“Hizbullah is capable of striking in Germany or more likely planning an incident like the al-Qaeda cell in Hamburg that planned the attack on New York,” said Alexander Ritzmann, a fellow at the European Center for Democracy.

General Douglas Fraser, the new head of U.S. Southern Command, this week warned that Hizbullah and other Iranian allies posed the greatest threat to security in Latin America.

“The real concern is not a nation-to-nation interaction; it is the connection that Iran has with extremist organizations like Hamas and Hizbullah and the potential risk that that could bring to this region,” he said.

Iran Votes in Test for Ahmadinejad

Iran on Friday was electing a new parliament in the first nationwide poll since a bitterly contested 2009 vote that returned President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to power, posing a new test of his support among conservatives.

The elections, to fill the 290 seats in parliament, are being boycotted by Iran’s main opposition and reformist groups, the leaders of which have been under house arrest for a year.

Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, casting his ballot moments after polling began, urged a high turnout from the 48-million strong electorate to boost “the future, prestige, security and immunity of the country,” according to state television.

Khamenei framed the poll as part of Iran’s showdown with the West, saying: “The arrogant powers, who have been defeated and have been delivered a blow to the mouth, are repeating the issue of sanctions and human rights.”

The elections are essentially a struggle between conservatives who back Ahmadinejad and a hardline current that despises him. Each claims stronger fealty than the other to Khamenei.

Unlike in the wake of Ahmadinejad’s disputed 2009 victory, no protests were expected in these elections.

But Iran’s police chief, Ismail Ahmadi Moghaddam, said security forces were “fully prepared” to counter any problems.

There were no international observers present to watch over the voting, which was scheduled to end at 6:00 pm (1430 GMT) but would almost certainly be extended, based on decisions in previous elections.

The US-based rights group Human Rights Watch said in a statement that the elections were “grossly unfair” because of the opposition boycott and because the the limited list of approved candidates skewed overwhelmingly to conservative regime supporters.

“Iranian authorities have stacked the deck by disqualifying candidates and arbitrarily jailing key members of the reform movement,” the group’s Middle East director, Joe Stork, was quoted as saying.

The Guardian Council, which vetted the 3,400 candidates allowed to run and which will validate the results, called the idea of foreign observers “an insult to the people” of Iran.

The council’s spokesman, Abbas Ali Kadkhodai, predicted on Thursday that “the turnout will be more glorious than in the previous (legislative) elections” in 2008, when turnout of 55 percent was announced by the interior ministry.

Final official results of the elections would be announced Sunday or Monday, the interior ministry said.

The vote was being held amid high international tensions over Iran’s controversial nuclear programme, which much of the West fears masks a drive to develop the ability to make atomic weapons.

The United States and Europe have imposed punishing sanctions on Iran’s economy, driving its currency down and making it increasingly difficult for it to sell its oil.

Israel has threatened military action against Iranian nuclear facilities.

Tehran, which denies it seeks an atomic arsenal, has responded to the pressure and Israeli threat with menaces of its own.

It has said it could close the strategic Strait of Hormuz at the entrance to the Gulf, helping to send global oil prices sharply higher. It has also warned of a “devastating” military response if Israel attacks.

The UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, said last week it “continues to have serious concerns regarding possible military dimensions to Iran’s nuclear programme.”

IAEA inspectors visited Tehran February 20-21 to try to clear up suspicions, but their requests to see the key military site of Parchin, thought to host blast experiments to design a nuclear warhead, were rebuffed.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his ministry’s spokesman, who only a few weeks ago declared that Russia will not be selling Iran the advanced S-300 missile system, or deputy chairman of Iran’s parliamentary commission on national security, Esmaeil Kosari, who on Sunday announced that Russia already started implementing the deal?

According to Kosari, Russia is already transferring to Iran components of the advanced interception system, which according to experts could greatly hinder an Israeli or American aerial strike aimed at curbing Iran’s nuclear program.

Seemingly, one of the sides is lying, either the Iranians or the Russians. Yet a thorough examination of the official declarations on the subject, as well as publications in the Russian and Iranian media raises yet another possibility: It is certainly possible that both sides – in technical terms at least – are telling the truth. But not the whole truth.

The explanation to this has to do with the fact that any such missile system is made up of several basic components. Those include radar, a control center, the missiles and their launch vehicles, peripheral equipment, and a logistic system.

It is very possible that the Russians are not providing the Iranians with the entire system for the time being, but rather, for example, only the radar and other peripheral equipment. The modern and advanced radar of the system, should it be possessed by Iran, already upgrades its air defenses. It also allows for the operational deployment of the missiles and other system components within a short period of time, if and when Russia decides to supply the Iranians with the entire S-300 system.

Information received in the West and published by the media informs us that Iranian operators are already training in Russia on using the S-300 system. A hint that this is in fact what the Russians are doing can be found in the words of the Iranian deputy chairman of the national security committee.

Kosari told the Iranian news agency Sunday that his country is starting to receive components of the system. He did not say that the missiles themselves have arrived.

And so, the Russians were able to tell a Western source less than a week ago that they are not supplying the missiles, yet in practice also meet their obligations in line with the missile acquisition deal signed by President Putin and Iran’s defense minister exactly a year ago in Moscow.

The Russians conducted themselves in a similar fashion in the deal signed with Tehran for supplying fuel to the nuclear reactor they built for the Iranians in Bushehr. There is no reason why the Russians will not do the same this time around.

We must keep in mind that despite the delays in the abovementioned deal, Russia ultimately delivered the goods. We can assume that this will be the case with the S-300 missiles as well – on condition, of course, that the Iranians pay the full price of the deal, estimated at $1 billion.

‘Israel has reached the end of the road’

Thousands of Iranians held a protest rally in Teheran Friday against the blockade of the Gaza Strip, while Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Israel had “reached the end of the road.”

The protested chanted “Death to Israel” and “Death to America” as they demonstrated on streets leading to the Teheran University compound where the weekly Friday prayer service is held.

Also attending the rally, Ahmadinejad told reporters that the Israelis “have reached the end of the road and their abnormal behavior is due to anger and even their supporters are shaky in backing them.

“By committing these atrocities they want to pressure the Palestinians to influence their elections.”

Ahmad Khatami, conducting the Friday prayers, slammed the “United Nations, Organization of Islamic Conference, Egypt, the Europeans and United States” for their inaction on Gaza.

“Why are the UN and OIC keeping silent? Where are the European nations who are the defenders of human rights?” Khatami said in his sermon, broadcast live on state-run radio and quoted by AFP.

“We can see the hands of (US George W.) Bush and (president-elect Barack) Obama in these crimes,” he said.

Khatami criticized Egypt’s leadership for closing down the Rafah crossing with the Gaza Strip, saying that “by doing this they are cooperating with them (Israel).

“I am telling the Gazans and Palestinians in the occupied territories that the only way for salvation is by resisting the way Hizbullah did,” continued Khatami.

Sheik Himam Sa’id, Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan: “Oh noble Gaza, raise your head high. You have made the Muslims raise their heads high. And you, people of Hebron – you are now waging a war against the Jews. You are well-versed in this. We saw how, on a day in 1929, you slaughtered the Jews in Hebron. Today, slaughter them on the land of Hebron. Kill them in Palestine. Arise, oh people of Palestine, all the people of Palestine – arise in defense of your Al-Aqsa Mosque, arise in defense of Nablus and Hebron. Arise and face the [PA] Preventive Security forces. Fear them not, for they are rabbits. They are wolves, so fear them not, oh lions.

The solution is to renew the resistance in a stronger and more effective way. What we want is a free state, which maintains its dignity, 27,000 square kilometers in size – the size of Palestine in its entirety.”
