We are facing the beginning of the final war of the Age of the Gentiles, and it is not a far distant prophetic event.  The Tribulation Period events associated with the final war are graphically described, and where you are when specific events occur is something worth considering.  Where you are before the catching out of believers (the rapture) occurs, and where you are after it occurs, is certainly one thing believers should carefully consider for themselves based on the Scriptures.

1730 GREAT AWAKENING LED TO MAJOR PROPHECY CHANGES

PART 1

Secular historians credit John Wesley, together with his brother Charles, for what is now referred to as the “Great Awakening” and “Evangelical Movement.”

The three waves of the “Great Awakening Evangelical Movement,” following its beginning its 1730 beginning, swept across the globe, introducing major changes in what was considered orthodox prophetic teachings prior to 1730.  I do not believe many of these changes were justified!  The most dramatic revisions in the prophetic teachings occurred between 1780 and 1880.

Certain Christian leaders and movements had important influences on early Pentecostals. Albert Benjamin Simpson and his Christian and Missionary Alliance was very influential in the early years of Pentecostalism, especially on the development of the Assemblies of God. The teachings of Simpson, Dowie, Adoniram Judson Gordon and Maria Woodworth-Etter (she later joined the Pentecostal movement) on healing were embraced by Pentecostals.   Edward Irving‘s Catholic Apostolic Church also shared many characteristics later found in the Pentecostal revival.

Had I preached in the 18^th or early 19^th century, I would have been accepted as a pillar of orthodoxy in prophetic teaching.  In that time period most, and if not most, then many, believed the following five things:   (1)  That God himself would do the destroying of the earth by His mighty power, not by man’s scientific expertise.   (2)   That the “he” in Daniel 9:27 refers not to the antichrist, but to Messiah the Prince, Jesus Christ, and that Jesus has already fulfilled the first part of Daniel’s 70^th week.  (3)  That the empire of antichrist would only affect the areas that were conquered by Daniel’s Babylonian, Persian, Grecian, and Roman Empires in his seventh chapter.  In other words, the known world at the time Daniel and Revelation were written.   (4)  That the first resurrection, what is commonly referred to today as the “rapture,” would occur on the blowing of the seventh trumpet in the book of Revelation, which they believed to correspond to the “last trump” in First Corinthians.  Others believed it would not occur until the final vial of wrath was poured out at the end of the Tribulation Period.  (5)  That the antichrist would come out of Syria and the countries backing him would come out of the southern flank of the old Roman Empire, and would stretch from Morocco to Iran, which today are Islamic nations.

Since I believe all five of these things, I am about as popular as a frog would be when found floating in a punch bowl at the high school prom.  To some I am a heretic, lunatic, or renegade.  I much prefer to be referred to as a goofy, antiquated, 79 year old frog floating around in a 21^st century punch bowl of modern day prophetic teachings.  But regardless of what I am, I honestly believe we are quite likely to find out, probably within the next 4 years, who is right about their interpretation of prophetic scriptures and who is wrong.

So, since I have already presented my case on these subjects, which may be found in our Prophecy or Birth Pang Archives, with one exception, that being the 7^th Trumpet Rapture, you may as well know what the old frog believes about this subject.

Paul, writing to the church at Corinth, indicated he was going to unveil a mystery of the Old Testament that a lot of the Prophets wrote about, but whose writings were to be made clearer to later generations.  Isaiah wrote about it terms that we, now having the New Testament, are able to comprehend more fully.

Isaiah 26:19 + I Corinthians 15:51,52 + I Thessalonians 4:16,17

[19] Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and

PAUL “SHOWED” THE MYSTERY – JOHN FINISHED IT!

WHEN THE 7^TH TRUMPET BLOWS THE SAVED WILL BE CAUGHT UP TO HEAVEN FOR JUDGMENT BY CHRIST, AND ALL THAT MAKE UP HIS SPIRITUAL REALM WILL STRETCH FROM ONE END OF HEAVEN TO THE OTHER.

Revelation 11:15,18

[15] And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. [18] And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

While the nations on earth are angry because of the seven vials of wrath that are being poured out following the blowing of the seventh trumpet, the time of the dead, who have suddenly been resurrected for judgment before Christ, occurs in this heavenly scene of Revelation 11:18.  While the saved are being judged for rewards in heaven, God’s seven vials of wrath are destroying those who are responsible for the destruction of morality on the earth.  However you interpret this scripture it paints a heavenly scene where the resurrected dead are being judged for rewards in heaven, and it follows the blowing of the 7^th trumpet.  It has to be what Paul outlined in II Corinthians as describing Christ judging all the saved after the rapture.

II Corinthians 5:2,3,10

 [2] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: [3] If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. [10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

In Revelation 9:13 we read that the sixth trumpet has sounded,

In the first verse of the following chapter we are introduced to a mighty angel from heaven with tremendous authority from heaven.  He is an archangel and may well be the seventh angel who blows the final trumpet in a series of seven. 

Revelation 10:1

[1] And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

He has direct authority from God to speak for Him, and to give an oath in his name.  He then tells the reader that the earthly church age of the Gentiles is about to end.

Revelation 10:5,6

[5] And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, [6] And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

I cannot tell for sure in the Greek of verse seven whether he is referring to himself, or is merely telling us what will happen when the seventh angel blows his trumpet.  But, in either case, in this verse we are definitely informed that:   (1)  The seventh angel has a voice.  (2)  The seventh angel is soon to blow his trumpet.   (3)  When he blows it the mystery surrounding

I believe the voice of the archangel and the trump that is blown in II Thessalonians 4:16 is the same as found in Revelation 10:7 and 11:15.

Revelation 11:15

I also believe that the last trump of I Corinthians 15:52 is the last in a series of seven that is sounded in Revelation 11:15.

[53] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

And I am convinced that the dead in this verse are the dead in Christ who are resurrected to stand before Christ’s judgment seat in heaven to be judged for rewards and/or the lack of them.

Revelation 11:18

[18] And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

I do not anticipate going through the vials of God’s wrath that follow the blowing of the seventh trumpet.

Revelation 16:1

[1] And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

I Thessalonians 5:9

[9] For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

For a long time I kept silent on what I believed on the five things presented at the beginning of this Prophecy Update, and went merrily around the world presenting lectures on the geological upheavals the Bible indicated would occur during the last 3 and ½ years of the Tribulation Period, and the Five Signs of His Coming, and The Antichrist, and From Now to Armageddon.  It was possible for me to do this series of four different lectures without telling people what I really believed on the five subjects at the beginning of this Prophecy Update.  As long as I did this I could present what I believed would happen during the last 3 and ½ years of the Tribulation Period, the signs that would precede it, and what would happen during the blowing of the first six trumpets.  In other words, I could present what I was convinced God’s children would soon experience.  I was prince charming to many attending the lectures.  I truly believe I did was I was supposed to do.  I did not lie to people.  I just did not address directly the five subjects.  Well, old prince charming has done what he was supposed to do and, since passing age 78, is now completing at age 79 what he believes he is supposed to finish.  In so doing he has been changed from a fast moving young prince into an old frog in a punch bowl.  I know that I must face Christ at His judgment seat, and I would much rather appear there as an old frog who told God’s people what he knew in his heart what was about to happen to them, rather than as a charming young prince who told them just what they wanted to hear.

II Thessalonians 2:10 – And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

At this stage of the antichrist’s earthly mission, the entire Islamic world will follow him as the incarnate Allah of the Prophet Muhammad.  They would not put their faith in he testimony of the Prophet Jesus, who was God incarnate in sinless human flesh.  Because they did not put their faith in the words of the Son of God, who was the promised Seed of Abraham through Israel, it will be required of the followers of Muhammad, and they will be cast into hell.

Deuteronomy 18:18,19 – I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

John 5:40 – And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

They received not the love of the truth in Christ Jesus, but rather put their faith in the word of the false prophet Muhammad.  So God allowed them to believe a strong delusion, and they believed Muhammad’s lies.

II Thessalonians 2:11 – And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie:

They had no pleasure in receiving the righteousness of Christ, but had pleasure in the unrighteousness of a lie.  And, as a result of it, they remained condemned to the damnation of hell.

II Thessalonians 2:12 – That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

John 3:18 – He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

It was God’s plan before the foundation of the world to save anyone by instantaneous spiritual sanctification of their spirit, and the eternal setting apart of their souls by the sealing of his Spirit.  It was all to be done by God in response to their faith in the ability of a risen Christ to perform it.

II Thessalonians 2:8 – And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

This is when the Wicked Satanic antichrist is finally fully revealed as being “that Wicked.” He will be part of a duo consisting of Satan, living in a temple (naos) of sinful flesh and blood, and claiming to be God, and the false prophet, swearing that his claim is the truth.

II Thessalonians 2:4 – Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple (naos) of God, shewing himself that he is God.

This is when antichrist stands on the Jerusalem Temple Mount in a sinful temple (naos) body of flesh, and claims to be God.  This is when Michael stands up against him to defend Israel as her Prince.  This is when no one will be able to help him and Satan will abandon him to his fate.

This is when Michael the Archangel stands up and the rapture of the saved occurs prior to the 7 vials of God’s Wrath.

Daniel 11:45 to 12:1 – And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. [1] And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Iran’s current President is a “died in the wool” religious Islamic fanatic from the top of his head to the tip of his toes.  The Apostle Paul was a “Hebrew of the Hebrews,” and President Ahmadinejad is truly a “Shiite of the Shiites.”   He is locked in combat with the old conservative heads. They have run Iran since the revolution that overthrew the Shah of Iran.  He is trying to slip new leaders and departments into his new government.  He is trying to get younger key members of the extremists from his Revolutionary Guard into top positions of power, putting out the old leaders who have held power for so long over all governmental decisions.  It appears he has another revolution in mind, one in which he has absolute power to form a very radical Islamic Republic to replace the current conservative one.  I truly believe the religious extremism in the fanatical Shiite beliefs among their literal interpreters is going to unveil the antichrist among them.  Both the Sunni and Shiite sects of the Muslim faith believe in a coming Al-Mahdi, which we would relate to by our looking forward to the return of our Messiah Jesus Christ.  The major difference between the two sects of Sunni and Shiite, concerning the coming of their Messiah, the Al-Mahdi, it that the Sunni believe he is yet to be born, while the Shiites believe he has been hiding in a cave for some 1,100 years, but will soon come out to rule all Islam as the 12^th Imam.  Many of the local Imams across Iran and Iraq are preaching his coming is very soon, and a fever for his arrival is growing.  They both believe that the one in whom we trust, the Lord Jesus, was not the Son of God, but that he was born of the Virgin Mary.  They do not believe he was crucified for our sins, but that her was carried alive in the flesh by Allah into heaven.  They believe the Mahdi (their Messiah) will be killed in the coming war, and their then their Jesus will come to earth to perform miracles, and to defeat Satan at Armageddon.  1.5 Billion Muslims will accept the one we call Antichrist as the Mahdi n (their Messiah) and the one we call the False Prophet as Jesus, the son of the Virgin Mary.

II Thessalonians 2:11,12 –  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is a Shiite religious literalist, who believes in the imminent return of the 12^th Imam.  His segment of the Shiite faith believes the 12^th Imam went into hiding in the 9^th century.  The Sunni sect of Islam believes the Al-Mahdi, who is to arise and lead Islam to rule the world and establish a one-world Islamic religion, will be an ordinary man, born to an ordinary woman, and will live an ordinary life with the people of his time.  But the Shiites under the same persuasion of their current President, believe that soon the 12^th Imam, who disappeared mysteriously in the 9^th century, will suddenly appear to lead the Shiites to victory over all  enemies starting with the hypocrite mullahs and ending with the Jews.  In the Shiite theology, believing in the Imams is the cornerstone of their faith.  They believe the 12^th Imam has been living in a cave for more than ten centuries, and that he will suddenly surface from his hiding place as their Mahdi, their Messiah, and will meet Jesus, the Son of Mary.  They believe Jesus, the Prophet of Allah, will be second in command in that he will pray behind Al-Mahdi.  They believe Allah will give their Al-Mahdi the ability to rule all Muslim nations with righteousness in the span of a night.

In the Shiite theology of the religious followers of the current President of Iran, the 12^th Imam is still the sole source of legitimate power on the earth.  I suspect a man will suddenly arise in Islam claiming to be the 12^th Imam.  He will declare himself to have returned with the power of Allah but in reality, he will be the antichrist.  Islamic writers indicate the signs in the next paragraph will precede the 12^th Imam.

There are many signs that will precede him, a very important sign is that he will come at a time when there is great confutation, intense disputing, and violent deaths – when people are experiencing great fear.  Calamities will fall upon people, so much that a man shall not find a shelter to shelter him self from oppression.

 There will be battles and conflicts before his appearance.  The people will be troubled to such an extent that they will long for death.  It is then that Imam will arise.  The messenger of Allah said he will be sent at a time of intense disputes and differences among people amidst widespread earthquakes.

I believe the Islamic Al Mahdi is represented by bleeding Head 7 on the Revelation 13:1-3 Beast and the resurrected healed head on the Revelation 17:10-13 Beast.  And I believe the one Muslims identify as Jesus Christ will be as phony as a three dollar bill, who in reality will be the False Prophet of Revelation 13:11-14 who, like Jesus, is able to perform miracles.

Revelation 13:1-3 – And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast

rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. [2] And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. [3] And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Revelation 13:11-14 – And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. [12] And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. [13] And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, [14] And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

Revelation 17:10-13 – And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. [11] And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. [12] And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. [13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

II Thessalonians 2:6,7 – And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. [7] For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until

he be taken out of the way.

The “he” in verse 6 is the flesh and blood antichrist, whose spirit has been held back from reveal

ing itself in the flesh since the time of the writing of the New Testament, as was elaborated in Part 4.

I John 4:3 – And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The two “he’s” in verse 7 do not represent the Holy Spirit.  It is difficult to accept a higher power than the Holy Spirit taking him “out of the way.” And it is also very difficult to understand how such an omnipresent Spirit could be taken out of the way if his very character is to be present everywhere on earth.  A major purpose the Devil has in raising up his own antichrist is destruction of God’s chosen people, the nation of Israel, and those who have believed in the seed of the woman, Jesus the Messiah.  After the Devil has been cast out of his spirit abode in heaven, he will indwell the antichrist, who will be Satan incarnate in human flesh.  At that time he will persecute both the woman Israel, and those who believe in the Seed Jesus, the remnant that came out of her.

Revelation 12:17 – And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The chief antagonist of the archangel Satan has always been the archangel Michael, who is the Prince of God’s people, the nation of Israel.  He has been holding back the power of the spirit of antichrist from coming forth, as the spirit of Satan in a flesh and blood body, before the appointed time.  A battle has raged between them since the fall of Satan.

Michael is identified in the spiritual kingdom as one of the chief princes, and is also designated as the spiritual prince and protector of Israel by an angel sent to Daniel.  He is the most powerful of all the angels created by God and, apparently, the only one capable of ending the career of Satan as an accuser of the brethren, and finishing off his puppet, the antichrist. (Revelation 12:7-10 and Daniel 12:1).  Michael’s power over the angels in the spiritual kingdom that surrounds us on this earth is presented in Daniel 10 and 12.

Daniel 10:13,14 – But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. [14] Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.

Daniel 10:21 – But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

II Thessalonians 2:7 – For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

Michael, the spiritual archangel prince of Israel, has let the status quo continue, holding off the antichrist from being manifested, unveiled, revealed in human flesh, until the time God has chosen for him to do so.  But it is a part of God’s plan for Michael to step out of the way “in the latter days,” and allow antichrist to come on the world stage, revealed in human flesh, to go unchecked against Israel for a period of three and one-half years.  However, toward the end of that period, at the sounding of the seventh trump, Michael will again stand up for Israel, and play a leading role in delivering them from the antichrist.  No one will be able to deliver antichrist from his fate when Michael stands up to defend Israel.  After the antichrist has driven south to push Israel into the wilderness of the Negev while by-passing Jordan (Daniel 11:41 & Revelation 12:6), then conquered Egypt and driven to the borders of Libya and Sudan (Daniel 11:42,43), he will return to Jerusalem and establish a fortress headquarters on the Jerusalem Temple Mount, where he will be surrounded by the millions of tents of the great army he has called to the final great battle of Armageddon (Daniel 11:45).  He will them stand boldly on the temple mount and claim to be the god of all gods (II Thessalonians 2:4), preparing to do what he came to do, destroy the nation of Israel, the children of God.  Up until this time Michael has been the “he” who was taken temporarily out of the way by God, in order to let the antichrist make Satan’s final attempt to destroy God’s plan of salvation, which was extended through Israel, the man Jacob, to all men.  But when Armageddon is about to be launched, Michael again stands up as the prince of Israel, the antichrist is soundly defeated, and the false prophet and the antichrist end up in a lake of fire.

The rapture will occur when the Seventh Trumpet sounds after the two witnesses have been killed by Antichrist on the Temple Mount,  Then Michael stands up on earth and the 7 vials of earth begin to be poured out on earth as the vials of God’s wrath begin to be poured out on earth.

Revelation 11:11-15 – And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. [12] And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. [13] And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. [14] The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. [15] And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

It would seem that when Michael is taken out of the way on earth, it is to fight a spiritual war with Satan in the heavens, which begins at the same time Antichrist attacks Israel to begin the last three and one-half years of great tribulation.  Michael and his angels win the war in heaven while the antichrist is winning his war on the earth.  When the Devil is cast out of heaven by Michael he comes to the physical earth to indwell the body of antichrist, and the antichrist becomes Satan incarnate in human flesh.

Revelation 12:6-10 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days. [7] And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, [8] And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. [9] And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. [10] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Matthew 24:30 – And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
