1730 Great Awakening Evangelistic Movement Led to Major Prophecy Changes

PART 3

February 14, 2012

1780 TO 1880 – CENTRAL CORE OF PROPHECY REVISIONIST AGE

Secular historians credit John Wesley, together with his brother Charles, for what is now referred to as the “Great Awakening” and “Evangelical Movement.”

The three waves of the “Great Awakening Evangelical Movement,” following its beginning its 1730 beginning, swept across the globe, introducing major changes in what was considered orthodox prophetic teachings prior to 1730.  I do not believe many of these changes were justified!  The most dramatic revisions in the prophetic teachings occurred between 1780 and 1880.

“The Wesleyan holiness movement provided a theologic

al explanation for what was happening to these Christians. They adapted Wesleyan soteriology to accommodate their new understanding.”

Begin Excerpt from Wikipedia on History of the Pentecostal Movement

Early Pentecostals considered the movement a latter day restoration of the church’s apostolic power, and most historians of modern Pentecostalism write that the movement emerged from late 19th century radical evangelical revival movements in America and Great Britain.

There was no one founder of modern Pentecostalism. Instead, isolated Christian groups were experiencing charismatic phenemena such as divine healing and speaking in tongues. The Wesleyan holiness movement provided a theological explanation for what was happening to these Christians. They adapted Wesleyan soteriology to accommodate their new understanding

Edward Irving‘s Catholic Apostolic Church also shared many characteristics later found in the Pentecostal revival.

The first stage of his later development which resulted in the establishment of the Irvingite or Holy Catholic Apostolic Church in 1832 was associated with the Albury Conferences at his friend Henry Drummond‘s seat, Albury Park at Albury, Surrey concerning unfulfilled prophecy, followed by an almost exclusive study of the prophetical books and especially of the Apocalypse, and by several series of sermons on prophecy both in London and the provinces. His apocalyptic lectures in 1828 crowding the largest churches of Edinburgh on summer mornings.

In 1830, however, there was opened up to his ardent imagination a new vista of things spiritual, a new hope for the age in which he lived, by the revival in a remote corner of Scotland of those apostolic gifts of prophecy and healing which he had already in 1828 persuaded himself had only been kept in abeyance by the absence of faith.

At once, he welcomed the new powers with an unquestioning evidence that could be shaken by neither the remonstrances nor the desertions of his dearest friends, the recantation of some of the principal agents of the gifts, his own decent into a subordinate position, the meagre and barren results of the manifestations, nor their general rejection both by the church and the world. His excommunication by the presbytery of London in 1830 for publishing his doctrines of the humanity of Jesus Christ, and the condemnation of these opinions by the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland in the following year, were secondary episodes that only affected the main issue of his career insofar as they further isolated him from the sympathy of the church; but the irregularities connected with the manifestation of the gifts gradually estranged the majority of his own congregation, and on the complaint of the trustees to the presbytery of London, whose authority they had formerly rejected, he was declared unfit to remain the minister of the National Scotch Church of Regent Square.

After he and those who adhered to him (describing themselves as of the Holy Catholic Apostolic Church) had in 1832 removed to a new building in Newman Street, he was, in March 1833, deposed from the ministry of the Church of Scotland by the Presbytery of Annan on the original charge of heresy. With the sanction of the power, he was now, after some delay, reordained chief pastor of the church assembled in Newman Street, but unremitting labours and ceaseless spiritual excitement soon completely exhausted the springs of his vital energy. He died, worn out and wasted with labour and absorbing care while still in the prime of life,

From 1826 he was the centre of a “school of the prophets,” which published the Morning Watch, or Quarterly Journal of Prophecy periodically from 1829 to 1833.

In 1828 his Doctrine of the Incarnation Opened aroused opposition for its denigration of the human side of Christ’s nature. After a similar work by him appeared in 1830, he was charged in ecclesiastical courts with maintaining “the sinfulness of Christ’s humanity.” Despite his protest that he had been misinterpreted, he was excommunicated by the London presbytery, and in 1833 he was deposed from his ministry by the Church of Scotland.

By then a convinced believer in such pentecostal phenomena as speaking in tongues, Irving preached throughout Great Britain, returning to London to assume a minor position in the evolving Catholic Apostolic Church. Formed shortly after his death by several disciples and associates, the sect sought to emphasize the unity of all Christians in a universal church and to prepare for the Second Coming. The church flourished until the end of the 19th century, though later members rejected the name “Irvingites” for their group. A close friend of the English authors Thomas Carlyle, Charles Lamb, and Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Irving was honoured by burial in the Glasgow Cathedral crypt.

Prophetic teachers of this generation have lived with the two division diagrams so long they think they came over on the Mayflower.  But basically these diagrams were a product of the first of the week rapture position, which is such an ingrained part of prophecy teaching today.  The so-called “first of the week” position, as well as what is known as the “middle of the week” position, cannot be found in existence in any published book about the Bible before 1760.  In fact, it is the term “week,” appropriated by the revisionists, that is largely responsible for the mass exodus from orthodox prophetic teaching, which occurred in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.  The bulk of all prophetic teaching of today is based, directly or indirectly, on the revisionist teaching on Daniel 9:27, which, to a large extent, was accelerated with the initial appearance of the “first of the week” position in the early 19th century.  If the teaching on Daniel 9:27 by the revisionists is incorrect, then much of today’s prophetic teaching is in error.  I believe this is the case, and I have been labeled as a revisionist myself because of it.  I am certain that the great Bible expositor B.H. Carrol, who continued to believe the pre-1760 teachings until his death, was correct in what he taught concerning Daniel’s 70th week.  For you see, before 1827, the majority of orthodox prophetic teachers were convinced that the “he” in Daniel 9:27 was Jesus Christ, not the antichrist – THEY WERE RIGHT.  We are not waiting for a “week of seven years” to be fulfilled!  Why not?  Because Jesus has already fulfilled most of the first 3 and ½ years.  We are facing a tribulation period of the last 3 and ½ years, preceded by a much briefer period of peace than many are expecting.

Believers Should Consider the Final War Events

Part 11

The Goal of the Muslim Brotherhood has always been a Cairo Caliphate

February 13, 2012

http;//www.tribulationperiod.com/

I have been warning about the dangerous Muslim Brotherhood and their plan to start a Cairo Caliphate for some 10 years.  They now control the political side of the Egyptian government, but the large powerful army controls the country.  There will be more and more conflict between these two factions.  The Muslim Brotherhood will become linked more and more with terrorist nations and organizations with the passage of time, such that when Antichrist attacks Egypt from the northeast, the Muslim Brotherhood will be attacking the Egyptian army from within.

Daniel 11:41-45 – He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. [42] He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. [43] But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. [44] But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. [45] And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

Antichrist will not control the entire world as we know it today, but rather one that dominates the world as it was known between 600 BC and 100 AD.  It will stretch across North Africa, the Middle East, and into Southeast Asia.

A PLAN FOR ISLAMIC WORLD CONQUEST

http://www.tribulationperiod/

September 13, 2005

I received this article from a Lebanese friend of mine.  It came from an article in NewsMax.com.  IT IS ONLY A PLAN.  The only reason I am presenting it is to remind those who follow the teaching that antichrist will come out of the northern half of the old Roman Empire, namely the European Union, rather than its southern half, had better start taking a serious look at the Islamic Union that is currently forming there under the spirit of Jihad.  Soon, as far as predicting what part of the ancient Roman Empire will produce the 10 horns of Daniel and Revelation, you are going to find the North African and Middle East portions are the only game in town.  I have taught that since God called me to preach the Gospel.  The plan, outlined in the following article from newsmax.com, was first revealed in the Australian publication “The Age.”

2005 ARTICLE BEGINS

Al-Qaida Plan: Islamic World in 15 Years

Al-Qaida has a master plan to take over the world and turn it into an Islamic state – by the year 2020.

Wishful thinking? Not in the minds of the top terrorist lieutenants interviewed by Jordanian journalist Fouad Hussein for a new book – including Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, mastermind of many atrocities in Iraq.

The plan, which is revealed for the first time in the Australian publication The Age, has seven phases:

Phase 1: The “awakening” in the consciousness of Muslims around the world following the 9/11 attacks, which were aimed at provoking the U.S. into declaring war on the Islamic world and mobilizing Islamic radicals.

Phase 2: “Opening eyes,” the current period, which should last until 2006. Hussein said the terrorists hope to make the “Western conspiracy” aware of the “Islamic community” as al-Qaida continues to form its secret battalions.

Phase 3: “Arising and standing up,” which should last until 2010 and bring increasingly frequent attacks against secular Turkey and archenemy Israel.

Phase 4: Lasting until 2013, this phase will see the fall of hated Arab regimes, including Saudi Arabia and Jordan. Oil suppliers will be attacked and the U.S. economy will be targeted with cyber terrorism.

Phase 5: An Islamic state, or caliphate, can be declared between 2013 and 2016.

Phase 6: “Total confrontation,” beginning in 2016, will see the Islamic army begin the “fight between the believers and the non-believers” that has been predicted by Osama bin Laden.

Phase 7: “Definitive victory.”

Hussein writes that this phase should be completed by 2020, and that the terrorists believe the caliphate will prove victorious because the rest of the world will be beaten down by an army of “one and a half billion Muslims.”

The Middle East Crisis XVI: Muhammad Ghanem, Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood Representative in London, Calls for Civil Disobedience, Including ‘Halting Passage through the Suez Canal… and Preparing for War with Israel’

Following are excerpts from an interview with Muhammad Ghanem, the Muslim Brotherhood representative in London, which aired on Al-Alam TV (Iran) on January 30, 2011.

Muhammad Ghanem: “Hosni Mubarak and his regime are over, but he does not know it.

In the beginning, we said that we wanted Hosni Mubarak to go. Now, we say that Hosni Mubarak, his VP, and prime minister must go. Now there are three of them.

“In addition, the commanders of the army are still going back and forth to America. The American position has changed, and we hope that the position of the military will change as well, but reality proves that Hosni Mubarak will not leave unless he is forced to, that Omar Suleiman is more dangerous than Hosni Mubarak, and that the appointed prime minister… they all come from the military, and they share the same interests. Like we say in Egyptian Arabic: They will not bite one another.

“I don’t want to speak ill of anyone, but Hosni Mubarak will not hesitate to kill the entire Egyptian people in order to remain in power. This is a maneuver of which we must beware. Hosni Mubarak is trying to stabilize his position. He is in Sharm Al-Sheik, protected by the Zionists, by the state of Israel. There is a helicopter ready to fly him to Israel.

“We do not take the situation lightly. The situation is difficult. The Egyptian people will not allow anyone to rob them of their revolution. This blessed revolution will not subside. As the Egyptians are chanting: ‘We will not go away. This is our country. Mubarak should go.'[…]

“As for the possible return of the security forces – this is inconceivable. If the people see members of the security forces, they will kill them all. These security forces are not part of the Egyptian people. Their allegiance lies with Hosni Mubarak. […]

“I am absolutely certain that this revolution will not die, and that the next step must be one of civil disobedience. This civil disobedience will generate strife among the Egyptians. This disobedience must include halting passage through the Suez Canal, stopping the supply of petroleum and natural gas to Israel, and preparing for war with Israel.” […]

Muslim Brotherhood General Guide Muhammad Badi’: Our Ultimate Goal, Establishing a Global Islamic Caliphate, Can Only Be Achieved Gradually and Without Coercion

February 10, 2012

Special Dispatch No. 4486

In a recent sermon, the General Guide of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, Muhammad Badi’, set out his vision for his movement and for Egypt in the post-revolutionary era. Citing Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan Al-Bana, he stated that the movement has two goals. The immediate goal is to prepare the hearts and minds of its members, which involves “purifying the soul, amending behavior, and preparing the spirit, the mind and the body for a long struggle.” The second, long-term, goal is to affect “a total reform of all domains of life,” which will eventually result in establishment of an Islamic state governed according to Koranic law – first in Egypt and eventually in the entire world.

Badi’ stressed that this long-term goal can only be achieved by gradual stages: by “reforming the individual, then restructuring the family, then building society and the government, then [establishing] the rightly guided Caliphate, and [finally achieving] mastership of the world.” He also emphasized that this must be achieved through cooperation among all the forces and sectors in Egypt, and without any coercion: “All these purposes and goals… must be realized… through unity of ranks [not division], by persuasion, not coercion, and by love, not by force.” Badi’ warned against the “attempts to split up the united ranks [of the nation] and drive a wedge between young and old, men and women, Muslims and Christians, and [different religious] schools and groups,” saying that the Egyptian nation will need all of its human resources in order to meet the challenges that lie ahead. Finally, he advised his followers not to follow their emotions but to manipulate the circumstances rationally and realistically: “Do not fight the ways of the world because they are overpowering.

[Instead], try to overcome them, use them, change their course, and pit some of them against others.”

The following are excerpts from the sermon, which was posted December 29, 2011 on the Muslim Brotherhood website ikhwanonline.com:

“Praise be to Allah, and Allah’s prayer and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah and his Companions.

“A sensible man must set a goal and a great purpose for himself to achieve, so that he may gain happiness in whatever he aspires to do, in this world or in the next or in both… What applies to an individual also applies to a group, and indeed to the nation as a whole. A group or a nation becomes enlightened and serious once it sets a goal and a great purpose [for itself] and strives to achieve it in the easiest, shortest and most direct manner.

“Our generous Prophet set us the greatest of examples by never wavering in his determination to achieve his goal, no matter how tough it got or how much his enemies conspired against him, and no matter how connivers tried to tempt him… He said ‘I swear in the name of Allah that, [even] if they [promise to] place the sun on my right and the moon on my left if I give up Islam, I will  not desist from it until Allah makes it triumphant or else I die defending it.’

“The Muslim nation followed this example in [carrying out] its first mission, that is to say, in [spreading] the call to [worship] Allah – [a call] that guides the perplexed to their true Lord, educates the human race, elevates morals and conduct, promotes virtue and perseverance,  [and teaches] to resist obstacles and to cleave to the truth.

“This [mission] was followed by a blessed migration [hijra] to a good land [Medina], where [the Prophet found] sincere helpers, and later by the establishment of a rightly-guided state based on truth and justice. Then came [the stage of] defending this great religion and spreading its message throughout the world…

“[Our] Long-Term Goal… Involves Changing and Transforming All the Exiting Conditions, So that the Islamic State and the Law of the Koran May Live Again”

“In our modern age, the Muslim Brotherhood launched its call [to Islam] in attempt to guide the nation and reawaken it, so as to bring it back to its [former] status and to its mission after a long period of backwardness and lethargy. At the Sixth [Muslim Brotherhood] Congress, [Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan] Al-Bana, defined two goals for [our] blessed organization: ‘… [One is] an immediate goal, which becomes evident and yields fruits as soon as a person joins the Brotherhood. It starts with purifying the soul, amending behavior, and preparing the spirit, the mind and the body for a long struggle… [The second goal is] a long-term goal, which requires utilizing opportunities, waiting for the right time, making preparations and planning in advance. It [entails] a total reform of all domains of life, in which all the nation’s forces should participate, and [also] involves changing and transforming all the exiting conditions, so that the Islamic state and the law of the Koran may live again…’

“Al-Bana set out the stages and detailed the means by which this great goal [might be achieved], starting by reforming the individual, followed by building the family, the society and the government, and then the rightly guided Caliphate, and finally [achieving] mastership of the world – a mastership of guidance, instruction, truth and justice. [Al-Bana] explained that all these purposes and goals, having been defined and clarified, must be realized through earnest, persistent and gradual effort, through unity of ranks [not division], by persuasion, not coercion, and by love, not by force. [We] must be steadfast in [our] course, no matter obstacles, hardships, traps or conspiracies [we encounter].

“In the same message, [Al-Bana] said further: ‘The formation of nations, education of peoples, realization of hopes, and struggle for principles require the nation attempting this, or the groups calling for this, to possess great spiritual strength, manifest in several qualities: a strong will immune to all weakness; steadfast loyalty resistant to all change and treachery, and [readiness for] noble sacrifice unhindered by greed or avarice. [Also],  full knowledge and faith in the principles… which make one immune to error and to deviation from [the principles] and immune to bargaining about them or trading them for other [ideas].'”

“The Goal of the Revolution… [Is the Establishment of] a Parliament that Truly Represents the People… with the Participation of All the Political Forces and Social Sectors [in Egypt]”

“In our blessed revolutions in this Arab Spring, the rebelling people’s resolve – [namely their adherence] to clearly defined, agreed upon goals which they refused to give up – was a major factor in the [successful] realization of their [wish] to eliminate the unjust regime, the oppressive rulers, and the entire system of corruption which lay heavily upon our country, causing it to decay and to regress [by] robbing its resources and blocking its progress. We came close to realizing [the even greater] purpose of setting up a just and rightly guided regime with all its institutions. Our enemies and opponents try, whether deliberately or not, to stop us or to preoccupy us with marginal struggles, using arguments that are dazzling but false, by which they rend the nation asunder and drown it in futile debates… So much so that [the country] is being dragged into various battles and confrontations, even to the [point of] spilling of pure, innocent blood. [The purpose] of all this is to stop the progress, abort the revolution, and detract us from our great purpose and defined goals. However, with Allah’s grace and with the blessing of the [Muslim Brotherhood Shura] Council, we shall continue persistently on our path in order to achieve the goals of the nation.

“The goal of the revolution, for which it strives, is to crystallize the forces of our millions-strong nation into a parliament that truly represents the people, and which will launch the process of establishing the institutions of the rightly guided state and government – a state of liberty and equality and a government of truth and justice – with the participation of all the political forces and social sectors [in the country]. We advise ourselves, our brethren, and our associates in the country not become mired in marginal battles or futile polemics, and not to let our enemies lead us into torturous paths in order to sidetrack us from our great goals and noble purposes… We also warn against attempts… to split up the united ranks [of the nation] and drive a wedge between young and old, men and women, Muslims and Christians, and [different religious] schools and groups. We need all the potential and expertise of the nation, [both] the enthusiasm and strength of the young and the wisdom and experience of the old… [We must be] united by sincere love, dedication, trust and common purpose. Let us heed the words of our martyred leader [Hassan Al-Bana] in his address to the loyal members, both young and old: ‘You must restrain the misguided wanderings of emotion with rational thinking, while [letting] the flame of emotion light up the radiance of reason. You should temper [your] imagination with the accuracy of truth and realty, while [letting] the light of imagination illuminate the facts. Do not completely turn away [from either one or the other]. [Also,] do not fight the ways of the world because they are overpowering. [Instead], try to overcome them, use them, change their course, and pit some of them against others…'”

One thing is certain: World religions are not worshiping One God,

Neither is World religion worshiping God in spirit and in Truth!

July 6, 2011

John 4:24 – God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The entire Islamic system of worship and its sharia law is a large part of a strong delusion.  It is the spirit of Antichrist finally reaching its fullness at the revealing of the Wicked One.  God will send a strong delusion to cause all false religious systems to believe a lie.  Another part of that delusion may be a fake resurrection of a Mahdi Antichrist who is supposedly wounded to death by a weapon of war in the initial attack, which will reveal him as “that Wicked.”  And the False Prophet will testify “that Wicked” to be Allah incarnate in sinless flesh.  It is also possible Islam may believe the False Prophet is Jesus Christ.  Islam teaches Jesus did not die in the flesh, and is still alive in the flesh in heaven today.  Muhammad never performed miracles, but Jesus did, and the Devil’s False Prophet will be able to perform what men classify as miracles.

Revelation 13:3-6,11-14 – And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. [4] And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? [5] And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. [6] And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. [11] And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. [12] And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. [13] And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, [14] And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live

II Thessalonians 2:8-17 – And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, [10] And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. [11] And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: [12] That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.  [13] But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: [14] Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. [15] Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. [16] Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, [17] Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

Article on Muslim Brotherhood Website: Implement Shari’a in Phases

Special Dispatch No. 3969

July 5, 2011

In a June 11, 2011 article on the website of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, veteran movement member Sheikh Ahmad Gad argued that the implementation of shari’a in Egypt must be achieved gradually, by preparing the peoples’ hearts and minds for it and introducing it in stages. He proposed learning from the methods of the early Muslim Brotherhood, which worked in a step-by-step fashion, and called on Al-Azhar to focus on promoting the implementation of shari’a.

The following are excerpts from the article:

“There Is No Hope for Reform Without a Return to Divine Rule”

“Following the blessed popular revolution on January 25, 2011, there was a debate between the majority, which hopes and yearns for the implementation of Allah’s shari’a, and the minority, which uses Islam as a tool of intimidation and fears the Islamists and a return to the Middle Ages.

“This minority, which denies the results of the referendum while calling for democracy, is made up of those who oppose a religious state or a caliphate state, and advocate a return to the tyrannical secular regime that corrupted the land and the people – a  minority [that receives] prominent media coverage…

“Islamic shari’a ruled for centuries, but became distant and absent for centuries more. The various forms of imperialism were a burden on the [Muslim] nation in various ways, and caused people to change… In that dark period, the state alternately mimicked Eastern and Western regimes. Corruption developed, grew, and accumulated… [Nowadays], there is no hope for reform without a return to divine rule, which the Creator chose for man. This nation will have no chance of success, [except] by that which caused it to succeed in its beginning.

“[However,] we must not impose Islamic shari’a, forcing the people to adopt something about which they are ignorant and with which they are unfamiliar… If we do this, [various] ploys will be used to circumvent it, and there will be hypocrisy. [People] will exhibit Islamic [behavior] only outwardly…

“Noah, peace be upon him, received a clear sign, a stark vision, a prophecy, and mercy that his people did not understand… Noah could not force or impose [his faith upon the people]. He determined the principle of choosing [one’s] faith [as a result of] persuasion and reflection, [instead of] oppression, authority, condescension, and coercion. [The Koran] says: ‘O my people! Tell me, if I have with me clear proof from my Lord, and He has granted me mercy from Himself, and it has been made obscure to you; shall we force you to (accept) it while you are averse to it?’ [Koran 11:28]

“Gradual Action Does Not Impose Islam at Once – But Rather Step by Step”

“There is no other way but gradual action, preparing the [people’s] souls and setting an example, so that faith will enter their hearts… Gradual action does not impose Islam at once, but rather step by step, in order to facilitate understanding, studying, acceptance, and submission.

“[Allah] the Exalted said: ‘And those who disbelieve say, Why was the Koran not revealed to him [i.e., to the Prophet] all at once? [So] that We may strengthen thereby your heart’ [Koran 25:32]. The Koran was sent down in parts over 23 years, according to the events, the circumstances, and the laws that these [circumstances] entailed, and in order to strengthen [people’s] hearts and make it easier [for them] to memorize and understand [the Koran]. And this [verse] is the ultimate proof: ‘And it is a Koran which We have revealed in portions so that you may read it to the people by slow degrees…’ [Koran 17:106].

“The Prophet, peace be upon him, acted in a gradual manner, by first preparing the people, and then [preparing] family, society, state, and finally the caliphate… This gradual method is also employed in the Koran [itself] with respect to the prohibition on [drinking] wine…[3] It was also employed in presenting the duties of Islam…  First, there were two prayers – at noon and in the evening – and after people grew accustomed to them, Allah ordered five prayers during the day and night…

“At the [Muslim Brotherhood’s] fifth conference, [the movement’s founder,] Imam [Hassan] Al-Banna, spoke about gradual action and reliance on education, and clarified the stages [of implementing the shari’a]. They [i.e., the movement’s founding members] believed that da’wa must come in phases: The phase of reading, learning the idea, and delivering it to the public; the phase of forming [the idea]; and the phase of implementation, work and results. At that same conference, Al-Banna said, addressing the hasty: ‘Listen to what I say in a loud, resounding voice: This way of yours, whose phases are written and whose boundaries are defined, is long, but there is no alternative [way]. I am not with those who want to pick the fruit before it has ripened. Those who wait patiently for the seed to sprout, the tree to grow, the fruit to ripen, and the harvest to arrive – their reward will be with Allah… May that be the payment of those who do good.'”

The Islamic Streams Should Unite to “Restore the Caliphate”

“I ask the honorable Al-Azhar to rally the Islamic streams in order to unite the Muslim word and effort, restore the caliphate, and prepare a practical plan to implement the law of Allah the Exalted. This is the goal of the honorable Al-Azhar and of all Islamic streams. And Allah will help.

“O Allah, guide us, open our hearts to faith, and restore this [Muslim] nation to its previous self – one united nation worshipping You and You alone.”

[2] This refers to the March 30, 2011 referendum on a series of constitutional amendments which limited the president to two terms in office, enabled independent candidates to run for president, removed restrictions on the establishment of political parties, and set the parliamentary elections to September 2011. Though the referendum did not deal with the country’s religious identity, Muslim Brotherhood propaganda created the impression that those who supported the amendments supported the religion, while those who opposed them, opposed the religion. The amendments passed, and on March 23, a temporary “constitutional declaration” was published, valid until the elections of a new parliament, which is to draft a new constitution. Recently, a debate has started regarding the election date, and whether the new constitution should be drafted before the elections take place. Those who support postponing the elections argue that it will allow the new political parties to prepare for them, thus giving these parties a fairer chance to compete with the established powers – the Muslim Brotherhood and the National Democratic Party.

The Koran initially forbade the drinking of wine only during prayer; later a sweeping prohibition was introduced.

Believers Should Consider the Final War Events – Part 10

Sunday, February 12th, 2012

From one end of the Muslim world to the other, Christians are being murdered for their faith.

by Ayaan Hirsi Ali  | February 6, 2012 12:00 AM EST

We hear so often about Muslims as victims of abuse in the West and combatants in the Arab Spring’s fight against tyranny. But, in fact, a wholly different kind of war is underway—an unrecognized battle costing thousands of lives. Christians are being killed in the Islamic world because of their religion. It is a rising genocide that ought to provoke global alarm.

The portrayal of Muslims as victims or heroes is at best partially accurate. In recent years the violent oppression of Christian minorities has become the norm in Muslim-majority nations stretching from West Africa and the Middle East to South Asia and Oceania. In some countries it is governments and their agents that have burned churches and imprisoned parishioners. In others, rebel groups and vigilantes have taken matters into their own hands, murdering Christians and driving them from regions where their roots go back centuries.

The media’s reticence on the subject no doubt has several sources. One may be fear of provoking additional violence. Another is most likely the influence of lobbying groups such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation—a kind of United Nations of Islam centered in Saudi Arabia—and the Council on American-Islamic Relations. Over the past decade, these and similar groups have been remarkably successful in persuading leading public figures and journalists in the West to think of each and every example of perceived anti-Muslim discrimination as an expression of a systematic and sinister derangement called “Islamophobia”—a term that is meant to elicit the same moral disapproval as xenophobia or homophobia.

But a fair-minded assessment of recent events and trends leads to the conclusion that the scale and severity of Islamophobia pales in comparison with the bloody Christophobia currently coursing through Muslim-majority nations from one end of the globe to the other. The conspiracy of silence surrounding this violent expression of religious intolerance has to stop. Nothing less than the fate of Christianity—and ultimately of all religious minorities—in the Islamic world is at stake.

At least 24 Coptic Christians were killed in Cairo during clashes with the Egyptian Army on Oct. 9., Thomas Hartwell / Redux

From blasphemy laws to brutal murders to bombings to mutilations and the burning of holy sites, Christians in so many nations live in fear. In Nigeria many have suffered all of these forms of persecution. The nation has the largest Christian minority (40 percent) in proportion to its population (160 million) of any majority-Muslim country.

For years, Muslims and Christians in Nigeria have lived on the edge of civil war. Islamist radicals provoke much if not most of the tension. The newest such organization is an outfit that calls itself Boko Haram, which means “Western education is sacrilege.” Its aim is to establish Sharia in Nigeria. To this end it has stated that it will kill all Christians in the country.

In the month of January 2012 alone, Boko Haram was responsible for 54 deaths. In 2011 its members killed at least 510 people and burned down or destroyed more than 350 churches in 10 northern states. They use guns, gasoline bombs, and even machetes, shouting “Allahu akbar” (“God is great”) while launching attacks on unsuspecting citizens. They have attacked churches, a Christmas Day gathering (killing 42 Catholics), beer parlors, a town hall, beauty salons, and banks. They have so far focused on killing Christian clerics, politicians, students, policemen, and soldiers, as well as Muslim clerics who condemn their mayhem. While they started out by using crude methods like hit-and-run assassinations from the back of motorbikes in 2009, the latest AP reports indicate that the group’s recent attacks show a new level of potency and sophistication.

The Christophobia that has plagued Sudan for years takes a very different form.

The authoritarian government of the Sunni Muslim north of the country has for decades tormented Christian and animist minorities in the south. What has often been described as a civil war is in practice the Sudanese government’s sustained persecution of religious minorities. This persecution culminated in the infamous genocide in Darfur that began in 2003. Even though Sudan’s Muslim president, Omar al-Bashir, has been indicted by the International Criminal Court in The Hague, which charged him with three counts of genocide, and despite the euphoria that greeted the semi-independence he grant-ed to South Sudan in July of last year, the violence has not ended. In South Kord ofan, Christians are still subject-ed to aerial bombardment, targeted killings, the kidnap-ping

of children, and other atrocities.

Reports from the United Nations indicate that between 53,000 and 75,000 innocent civilians have been displaced from their resi-dences and that houses and buildings have been looted and destroyed.

Both kinds of persecution—undertaken by extragovernmental groups as well as by agents of the state—have come together in Egypt in the aftermath of the Arab Spring. On Oct. 9 of last year in the Maspero area of Cairo, Coptic Christians (who make up roughly 11 percent of Egypt’s population of 81 million) marched in protest against a wave of attacks by Islamists—including church burnings, rapes, mutilations, and murders—that followed the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak’s dictatorship. During the protest, Egyptian security forces drove their trucks into the crowd and fired on protesters, crushing and killing at least 24 and wounding more than 300 people. By the end of the year more than 200,000 Copts had fled their homes in anticipation of more attacks. With Islamists poised to gain much greater power in the wake of recent elections, their fears appear to be justified.

Egypt is not the only Arab country that seems bent on wiping out its Christian minority. Since 2003 more than 900 Iraqi Christians (most of them Assyrians) have been killed by terrorist violence in Baghdad alone, and 70 churches have been burned, according to the Assyrian International News Agency (AINA). Thousands of Iraqi Christians have fled as a result of violence directed specifically at them, reducing the number of Christians in the country to fewer than half a million from just over a million before 2003. AINA understandably describes this as an “incipient genocide or ethnic cleansing of Assyrians in Iraq.”

The 2.8 million Christians who live in Pakistan make up only about 1.6 percent of the population of more than 170 million. As members of such a tiny minority, they live in perpetual fear not only of Islamist terrorists but also of Pakistan’s draconian blasphemy laws. There is, for example, the notorious case of a Christian woman who was sentenced to death for allegedly insulting the Prophet Muhammad. When international pressure persuaded Punjab Gov. Salman Taseer to explore ways of freeing her, he was killed by his bodyguard. The bodyguard was then celebrated by prominent Muslim clerics as a hero—and though he was sentenced to death late last year, the judge who imposed the sentence now lives in hiding, fearing for his life.

Such cases are not unusual in Pakistan. The nation’s blasphemy laws are routinely used by criminals and intolerant Pakistani Muslims to bully religious minorities. Simply to declare belief in the Christian Trinity is considered blasphemous, since it contradicts mainstream Muslim theological doctrines. When a Christian group is suspected of transgressing the blasphemy laws, the consequences can be brutal. Just ask the members of the Christian aid group World Vision. Its offices were attacked in the spring of 2010 by 10 gunmen armed with grenades, leaving six people dead and four wounded. A militant Muslim group claimed responsibility for the attack on the grounds that World Vision was working to subvert Islam. (In fact, it was helping the survivors of a major earthquake.)

At least 13 people were killed and 140 injured on March 8, 2011, when participants in a large Christian demonstration in a Cairo slum were attacked by residents of a surrounding neighborhood., Mohamed Omar / EPA-Landov

Not even Indonesia—often touted as the world’s most tolerant, democratic, and modern majority-Muslim nation—has been immune to the fevers of Christophobia. According to data compiled by the Christian Post, the number of violent incidents committed against religious minorities (and at 7 percent of the population, Christians are the country’s largest minority) increased by nearly 40 percent, from 198 to 276, between 2010 and 2011.

The litany of suffering could be extended. In Iran dozens of Christians have been arrested and jailed for daring to worship outside of the officially sanctioned church system. Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, deserves to be placed in a category of its own. Despite the fact that more than a million Christians live in the country as foreign workers, churches and even private acts of Christian prayer are banned; to enforce these totalitarian restrictions, the religious police regularly raid the homes of Christians and bring them up on charges of blasphemy in courts where their testimony carries less legal weight than a Muslim’s. Even in Ethiopia, where Christians make up a majority of the population, church burnings by members of the Muslim minority have become a problem.

It should be clear from this catalog of atrocities that anti-Christian violence is a major and underreported problem. No, the violence isn’t centrally planned or coordinated by some international Islamist agency. In that sense the global war on Christians isn’t a traditional war at all. It is, rather, a spontaneous expression of anti-Christian animus by Muslims that transcends cultures, regions, and ethnicities.

As Nina Shea, director of the Hudson Institute’s Center for Religious Freedom, pointed out in an interview with Newsweek, Christian minorities in many majority-Muslim nations have “lost the protection of their societies.” This is especially so in countries with growing radical Islamist (Salafist) movements. In those nations, vigilantes often feel they can act with impunity—and government inaction often proves them right. The old idea of the Ottoman Turks—that non-Muslims in Muslim societies deserve protection (albeit as second-class citizens)—has all but vanished from wide swaths of the Islamic world, and increasingly the result is bloodshed and oppression.

So let us please get our priorities straight. Yes, Western governments should protect Muslim minorities from intolerance. And of course we should ensure that they can worship, live, and work freely and without fear. It is the protection of the freedom of conscience and speech that distinguishes free societies from unfree ones. But we also need to keep perspective about the scale and severity of intolerance. Cartoons, films, and writings are one thing; knives, guns, and grenades are something else entirely.

As for what the West can do to help religious minorities in Muslim-majority societies, my answer is that it needs to begin using the billions of dollars in aid it gives to the offending countries as leverage. Then there is trade and investment. Besides diplomatic pressure, these aid and trade relationships can and should be made conditional on the protection of the freedom of conscience and worship for all citizens.

Instead of falling for overblown tales of Western Islamophobia, let’s take a real stand against the Christophobia infecting the Muslim world. Tolerance is for everyone—except the intolerant.

1730 Great Awakening Evangelical Movement led to Major Prophecy Changes

Part 2

February 11, 2012

Wikipedia Excerpts – History of Great Awakening in Pentecostal Movement

Early Pentecostals considered the movement a latter day restoration of the church’s apostolic power, and most historians of modern Pentecostalism write that the movement emerged from late 19th century radical evangelical revival movements in America and Great Britain.

Within this radical evangelicalism, expressed most strongly in the holiness and higher life movements, themes of restorationism, premillennialism, faith healing, and greater attention on the person and work of the Holy Spirit were central to emerging Pentecostalism.

Evangelicals felt that modern Christianity was missing the power and authority of the New Testament church.  Believing that the second coming of Christ was imminent, many evangelicals expected an end time revival that would bring many people to Christ.

Edward Irving‘s Catholic Apostolic Church also shared many characteristics later found in the Pentecostal revival.

There was no one founder of modern Pentecostalism.  Instead, isolated Christian groups were experiencing charismatic phenemena such as divine healing and speaking in tongues. The Wesleyan holiness movement provided a theological explanation for what was happening to these Christians.

They adapted Wesleyan soteriology to accommodate their new understanding.

BEGIN HISTORICAL RAPTURE TEACHINGS

As a young man I developed an interest in certain historical eras of time, especially the period of time associated with the castles of ancient England.  In December of 1961, after I had traveled for some three years from north to south and east to west across England, the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society published my lengthy discourse on “Forecasting Rain Stratus in the Midlands of England.”  During those three years I examined most of the ancient castle earthworks found standing after the rampage of Cromwell across England. Englandis the land of very old books

and the meticulous maintenance of these books is carried out rigorously at Oxford and Cambridge Universities. So if you really want to know for sure when a particular Biblical interpretation first came into print, these two institutions should be the place to begin your research.

From my earliest days I had an avid interest in all publications that interpreted Biblical passages concerning the second coming of Christ. When I first began lecturing in churches, seminaries, universities, and colleges in 1978, I had no idea that my travels would take me to more than 700 of these institutions, and that I would be in the immediate vicinity of most of the major colleges and universities in the U.S. The vast majority of our institutions of higher learning began as small institutions under the control of a church or churches. During the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, most of them individually broke away from their sponsoring churches to become the independent centers of higher secular learning today. The majority of books in colleges and universities in early years were religious books, but after they lost the influence of the sponsoring churches they gradually became more and more secular in their teaching and accredited degrees, so they had to decide what to do with their very large volume of religious books. Some were sold, some thrown away, and some placed in specially created archives. I know I am a sixth generation Missionary Baptist because of the material I collected from just such an archive in Kalamazoo College in Michigan.

Its archives documented that Henry McElmurry, of whom I am a direct descendant, was the missionary-pastor of three of our early churches in southeastern Missouri from 1834 to 1839. Some of the books in the archives of these colleges are so old and fragile, that they have a designated person to open the pages for you to prevent the book being damaged.

So why have I labored on so long about old books. I wanted to know when various teachings were published concerning when the Lord would come, particularly in reference to what is called the tribulation period, a period of time that ends with the battle of Armageddon. So, as I traveled, I went to these archives and searched for this information. All of the old books I examined were quite definite that the tribulation period would close with the battle of Armageddon. But the time of the beginning of the tribulation, how long it was to last once it started, and when the first resurrection occurred in reference to it, was quite another matter. The first resurrection, which has taken on the popular title “the rapture,” has been one of the most vigorously debated theological subjects in the Word of God for some 225 years.  So, because it still is, I intend to present as accurate a documented history as I am able from my research. I will attempt to show when several beliefs concerning this much debated subject first appeared on the scene in published books.

When Johannes Gutenberg invented the first process of printing from separately cast metal types, used for moveable type, the era of book publishing was soon to begin. By 1450 he had a press in Germany financed by Johann Fust. In 1455 Fust had the first printed Bible in history well under way. Slowly the publishing of books by press immerged. Many of the first books published were interpretative expositions of Biblical scriptures, and among those were expositions of scriptures about the first resurrection.  After the 1611 KJV was published, expositions on Christ’s second coming started appearing in books based on the interpretation of passages found in it.

The first printed work that taught a rapture (first resurrection) before the blowing of the seventh trumpet in the book of Revelation was published in 1788. The teaching appeared in a book written by a well-known Baptist preacher of the eighteenth century, Morgan Edwards. It was titled “Two Academic Exercises on Subjects Bearing the Following Titles:  Millennial and Last Novelties.” The book was published by Dodson and Lang,  Second Street between Market and Chestnut Street,  Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In my archive search to discover the first printings of various positions held on the time of Christ’s coming, in relation to the end of the tribulation period, I had only found two published positions prior to the War of 1812. The vast majority of all the publications put Christ’s coming at the very end of the tribulation period, and a definite minority placed it at the blowing of the seventh trumpet, just before God’s wrath is poured out on the earth in seven vials. However, Morgan, for the first time in history since books began to be published, taught that a rapture of the saved would occur 3 and ½ years before the end of the tribulation period. There is no record of any printed book historically published prior to 1788, as far as I have been able to discover, that taught a rapture prior to the last 3 and ½ years before the final battle of Armageddon in the tribulation period.  I don’t say that such a book or books do not exist, but if they do, they are a drop in an ocean of books.

Dr. Thomas Chalmers, a Presbyterian minister of the Church of Scotland, and the man who first introduced what is known as the “Gap Theory,” had an assistant named Edward Irving. In 1827 Reverend Irving began to teach that Christ would first come for His saints, and then after a period of tribulation, He would come to destroy antichrist and to reign. In 1830 in Port Glasgow,  Scotland, a 15-year-old young lady, named Margaret MacDonald, announced that she had received a prophetic vision from God concerning the coming of Christ. Her revelation may be found in a book by Robert Norton entitled “The Restoration of Apostles and Prophets” in the Catholic Apostolic Church, (London, 1861).  In his book he declared that from her vision it could be seen that Christians would be taken out before the time of tribulation.

J.N. Darby, a leader among the early Plymouth Brethren, was known to have visited her during the time Margaret was having her visions. The teaching of a 7-year tribulation period came after these visions. The idea of the tribulation period consisting of two 3 and ½ year periods was put in print after John Darby began preaching the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theory. Prior to that time you will find no publication was ever printed that showed two boxes joined together to form a 7 year period, with the first box representing a period of 3 and ½ years of peace, and the second box representing a period of 3 and ½ years of tribulation. The 7-year theory was developed by proponents of the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theory. It was developed by letting the “he” in Daniel 9:27 refer to the antichrist rather than Christ.  Before 1788 they taught that the “he” of Daniel 9:27 was Christ or Antiochus Epiphanes, but in view of the new revelation in 1788, it eventually became necessary to justify it, and by 1832 a series of new Scripture combinations began to appear, and they were used to teach what came to be known as the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Position. It was the grand joining of the “70th Week of Daniel” prophecy with the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Theory that finally launched today’s popular teaching under a wind filled sail.  J.N. Darby taught that the rapture occurs before the last 7 years of the prophecy of 490 years found in Daniel 9:24-27. In Volume 3, page 424, of Darby’s letters, he wrote: “Let it be remembered now that we have no date for the rapture of the church – that the
dates BEGIN with a week of Daniel 9, and half a week when the sacrifice is made to cease. But this does not affect the general testimony of Matthew 24, which may begin the week, and be carried on among the Gentiles during the great tribulation at Jerusalem.”

J.N. Darby visited America seven times between 1862 and 1877. Cyrus I. Scofield, minister of a Congregational church, became a student of all the writings of J.N. Darby, and then forever popularized his Pre-Tribulation Rapture position by placing it in the Scofield Reference Bible notes of his 1909 publication. Most of the Bible teachers of Scofield’s day did not accept his new found position, but it was so appealing to religious groups that it spread across the country like wildfire as an exciting new revelation, which taught God’s children would never go into the tribulation period. By the time I was saved in 1944, you were often considered a heretic if you believed anything other than a rapture 7 years prior to the end of the tribulation period.

When I wrote my last two books, Tribulation Triad and Birth Pangs from the Bottomless Pit in the late seventies, I was what was known as a “Mid-Tribber.” In the early eighties I changed my position on when the first resurrection occurs in relation to the end of the tribulation period.  Could the Mid-Tribulation Rapture Position be correct? Yes, if God chose to wait some 1788 years after Christ’s birth before letting it first appear in a printed book exposition of Biblical scriptures by a man named Morgan Edwards. Could the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Position be correct? Yes, if God chose to wait some 1830 years after the birth of His Son before letting it first appear in a printed form. To my knowledge, there was never a published printed book prior to 1788, which explained the scriptures found in the Bible about the rapture by advocating a Pre or Mid Tribulation Rapture.

I have read the letters of the early church fathers to see if any such teaching was clearly spelled out in context in their writings on a Pre-Tribulation rapture. And, in so doing, I have searched hoping to find such a reference, but have not found a reference in context that justified such a position with sufficient clarity to be certain. I did find two that may advocate such a position, but the only thing I can be sure of is that they are much more likely to simply refer to the rapture as being pre-millennial, not specifically pre-tribulation.  The references were by Irenaeus and Hippolytus, written on scrolls in about 180 AD.

There was also a document reported by advocates of the pre-tribulation rapture position as being genuine and written by Ephraem the Syrian in 373 AD.  However, the document is classified by all the antiquity experts as being Pseudo-Ephraem (Pseudo means false).  It was titled “On the last times, the Antichrist, and the End of the World.”  But the problem with it is threefold: We can’t be sure that Ephraem wrote it, or if the man who did copied it or made it up himself, or WHEN he wrote it.

If you think I didn’t want to find such a reference, you are quite wrong. To not agree with the Pre-Tribulation position only gains you unpopularity with many of the brethren and, being carnal in the flesh, and desiring their acceptance, I certainly hoped to find such a position issued prior to 1788, but found none of which I could honestly state: Yes! This teaches a Pre-Tribulation rapture. Could I be wrong in the position I hold?  Certainly! And I will continue to search for the prophetic truth on this subject. I have not changed what I was taught as a youth concerning the doctrines on salvation, baptism, the local church, and its two ordinances, but I have changed my mind about the position of the Lord’s coming in reference to the battle of Armageddon and, quite frankly, will change my mind again if I find a better case than the one you find in Prophecy Update 73D.  Any man who is not willing to change his position on the time of Christ’s coming, in relation to the end of the tribulation period, makes it a doctrinal position. There is only one doctrine concerning Christ’s coming – HE IS COMING.

When he comes, in relation to the events stated as occurring in the tribulation period, is a matter of opinion, not a matter of doctrine.

So how do all these different positions affect me?  They don’t! In our work we have “first of the weekers,” middle of the weekers,” “last of the weekers,” “seventh trumpers,” “split rapturers,” “triple rapturers,” and “progressive rapturers.” It would be ridiculous for me to make what my brethren believe about the rapture a test of fellowship. The doctrine of Christ’s coming is that He is coming. If you don’t believe that you are a heretic, and I don’t want your fellowship. I have a very simple Biblical principle that I follow to be ready when he does come. I know I will be taken because I am saved. So I daily attempt to be faithful to Him in one of His New Testament churches, in order that I will be prepared to stand before His judgment seat whenever He comes.

I do not believe we have a full week of seven years left to fulfill in Daniel’s 70 weeks of 490 years (See Prophecy Updates 55, 56, 57 and 58 in our Prophecy Archives). I am persuaded Christ is coming on the blowing of the 7th trumpet in Revelation 10:7, 11:15, and 11:18, but I live my life like it could be today. I am “watching” daily for that time, whenever it is. I have been told that one cannot do such a thing. Well, just hide and watch me! If it does occur 7 years before the battle of Armageddon, then I will be caught “watching” for His coming (See Prophecy Update Number 73D).

The material contained in this Prophecy Update has been taken from many old books I have perused in the U.S. and overseas during my many years of travel, but a large portion of it came from the research of John L. Bray, a Baptist Minister who was born in 1921 in Macon, Georgia, and was ordained as pastor of a Baptist church in Jacksonville, Florida at the age of 18. He was educated at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, John B. Stetson University in Deland, Florida, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and, if he is still living, would be some 92 years in age.  By 1990 he had spent 30 years as a pastor of Southern Baptist Churches, and completed 21 years as a full time evangelist. I am indebted to him for the numerous extractions I took from his writings in compiling this Blog.

Believers Should Consider the Final War Events – Part 9A

“IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, IRAN MUST ATTACK ISRAEL BY 2014”

“IT WOULD ONLY TAKE NINE MINUTES TO WIPE OUT ISRAEL”

MIDDLE EAST WAR WILL BEGIN, LIKELY TWIXT 2013 & 2015!

I’VE SAID 2013 TO 2015 WAS MOST LIKELY TIME SINCE 2008.

We are facing the beginning of the final war of the Age of the Gentiles, and it is not a far distant prophetic event.  The Tribulation Period events associated with the final war are graphically described, and where you are when specific events occur is something worth considering.  Where you are before the catching out of believers (the rapture) occurs, and where you are after it occurs, is certainly one thing believers should carefully consider for themselves based on the Scriptures.

Zechariah 14:1-3 – Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. [2] For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. [3] Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s strategist provided the legal and religious justification for the annihilation of Israel and the Jewish people, in a document published on conservative Farsi website Alef.

The document, written by strategy specialist Alireza Forghani, outlines the reasons why, “In the name of Allah, Iran must attack Israel by 2014.”

Calling the Jewish state a “cancerous tumor for the Middle East,” the religious leader reminded his supporters that “All our troubles are due to Israel!”

As the US and Israel carried on bickering over the right time to strike Iran’s nuclear sites, their war preparations continued apace. debkafile’s military sources report that flight after flight of US warplanes and transports were to be seen this week cutting eastward through the skies of Sinai on their way to Gulf destinations, presumably Saudi Arabia, at a frequency not seen in the Middle East for many years.

The three International Atomic Energy inspectors who spent the last three days of January in Tehran had asked to meet the hitherto invisible head of Iran’s nuclear bomb program, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, 50, a general of the Revolutionary Guards. The Iranians pretended to be deaf. They also kept the inspectors away from any nuclear installations.

A senior Obama administration official termed the visit “foot-dragging at best and a disaster at worst.”

debkafile‘s intelligence and military sources note that without talking to Fakhrizadeh or any of the 600 nuclear engineers and scientists working under him, unless one of them defects, there is no way the West can determine what exactly is going on in Iran’s nuclear program stands and which installations have been moved to underground facilities.

No one doubts now that advanced centrifuges and stocks of enriched uranium – 3.5 percent and 20 percent grades alike – have been moved to Iran’s underground bunker site at Fordo near Qom, which the US administration has claimed its bunker buster bombs cannot reach and which Israel’s Defense Minister Ehud Barak has defined as “a zone of immunity.”
In their ongoing argument with Jerusalem, American officials commented crossly this week that “Israelis are looking at the problem too narrowly.”

Clearly Israel, unlike America, envisions the Iranian “problem” from the narrow viewpoint of potential victim of an Iranian attack. Sunday, Feb. 5, Alireza Forghani, head of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s strategic team, was quoted as remarking, “It would only take nine minutes to wipe out Israel.”

The remark came from a just-published detailed and serious paper by an Iranian study group which advised Tehran not to wait to be attacked but to launch a preemptive strike against the Jewish state.

Wiping Israel out in 9 minutes would require a nuclear weapon. It therefore behooves Israel to narrow its vision and focus closely on Iran’s nuclear potential and intent.

By now, the Obama administration and the Netanyahu government have pretty well run out of semantic ammunition for their dingdong over how long to wait for sanctions to bite before going on the military offensive against Iran’s nuclear sites and who should do the deed.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu plans a trip to Washington in March and will almost certainly get together with President Barack Obama.  That is a date to watch.
Israel leaders have not given up warning that time is running out for a military strike that could stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Obama’s comment to NBC TV Sunday Feb. 4, “I don’t think that Israel has made a decision on what they need to do,” has been interpreted by some circles in Washington as meaning that Israel has agreed to wait long enough to give tough sanctions a chance.

debkafile‘s sources say that interpretation is wishful thinking rather than based on fact. The president’s comment was another attempt to keep Israel within certain lines of restraint.
