Iran is driving a hard bargain for granting access to the US stealth drone RQ-170 it captured undamaged last week, as Russian and Chinese military intelligence teams arriving in Tehran for a look at the secret aircraft soon found.

debkafile’s Moscow sources disclose that the price set by Revolutionary Guards commander Gen. Ali Jaafari includes advanced nuclear and missile technology, especially systems using solid fuel, the last word on centrifuges for enriching uranium and the S-300PMU-1 air defense system, which Moscow has consistently refused to sell Tehran.

This super-weapon is effective against stealth warplanes and cruise missiles and therefore capable of seriously impairing any large-scale  US or Israeli air or missile attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sent Russian-speaking Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman to Moscow on Dec.

7 to try and dissuade Prime Minister Vladimir Putin from letting Iran have the S-300 batteries as payment for access to the captured US drone.

Sources in Washington report that before sending Lieberman to Moscow, Netanyahu first checked with the White House at the highest levels.

Although he had his hands full with stormy demonstrations in Moscow protesting alleged election fraud, Putin received Lieberman at the Kremlin.  But the interview was short. The Russian prime minister refused to discuss the episode with his Israeli guest or even confirm that Moscow was engaged in any deal with Tehran.


In answer to reporters’ questions, Lieberman commented: “Russia’s positions on the Middle East were not helpful.”

American efforts to reach President Dmitry Medvedev and Putin on the drone deal through o

ther channels were likewise rebuffed.

They are suspected of even supplying Iran with the electronic bag of tricks for downing the US stealth drone undamaged.

If that is so, it would mean Moscow is deeply involved in helping Iran repel the next and most critical stage of the cyber war that was to have been launched on the day the US UAV was brought down.

Our exclusive intelligence sources add that that the RQ-170 was the first US drone of this type to enter Iranian skies. Its mission was specific.

Iran‘s success in determining the moment of the unmanned vehicle’s entry and its success in transferring command of the drone’s movements from US to Iranian control systems is an exceptional intelligence and technological feat in terms of modern electronic warfare.

Western intelligence watchers keeping track of the Russian and Chinese teams in Tehran have not discovered where the negotiations stand at this time or whether the Iranians have taken on both teams at once or are bargaining with each separately to raise the bidding.

Hossein Salami, said Iran would not  hand the captured drone back to the United States. He boasted: “The gap between us and the US or the Zionist regime and other developed countries is not so wide.”

Bigheaded from capturing the US stealth RQ-170 Sentinel drone, Tehran Monday, Dec. 12 announced plans to conduct a navy drill son for practicing the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the most important oil transit channel in the world for 40 percent of its fuel.  Iranian lawmaker Parviz Sorouri, member of the Majlis national security committee, who announced the drill said, “Iran will make the world unsafe if the world attacks Iran.”

On Dec. 12, US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta called Iran “a very grave threat to all of us” and warned that any Iranian disruption of the free flow of commerce through the Persian Gulf “is a red line” for the United Sates.

Tehran’s announcement of a navy drill in Hormuz augments the Syrian ruler Bashar Assad’s mantra since his people rose up against him nine months ago, that an attack on his regime would start a regional blaze.

The Iranian lawmaker spoke at length about how his government planned to use the military and intelligence software mined from the top-secret US UAV on Dec. 4.

He said Iranian engineers and technicians were “in the final stages of “cracking” the drone’s secret technology, although he did not say when this research would be complete. “Our next action will be to reverse-engineer the aircraft,” he said and boasted: ” In the near future will be able to mass produce it.

Iranian engineers will soon build an aircraft superior to the American one.”

This data would also be used, the Iranian lawmaker said, in a lawsuit against the United State for the “invasion” by the unmanned aircraft. Sorouri did not say where the lawsuit would be filed but Tehran is thought to be preparing an complaint to the international war crimes court at the Hague.

debkafile‘s Iranian and military sources note that the linkage Sorouri made between the capture of the RQ-170 and the naval drill in the Strait of Hormuz was intended to inform Washington that Tehran in possession of the drone no longer fears the ability of the naval air carriers the US has deployed in the Persian Gulf to prevent its closure of the strategic waterway.

In the last six months, Adm.

Habibollah Sayyari has emphasized more than once that the Iranian Navy which he commands is master of the Persian Gulf and dominates the Strait of Hormuz.

After trapping the American stealth drone, Iran is mounting a challenge to the warning issued by Panetta and testing the resolve of Washington and the Saudi-led Gulf Arab region to contest the Hormuz drill.

Mere verbal protest will not serve. It will just leave Tehran crowing over its possession of the US drone as the key to the military and intelligence mastery of the Persian Gulf waters and the ability to make US back down.

However a real threat by the US and Gulf oil powers to stop the drill by force will send regional tensions shooting up.

In the meantime, Saeed Jalili, head of Iran’s National Security Council has arrived in Moscow to clinch a deal for the transfer of drone secrets to Russia in return for nuclear technology and sophisticated military hardware.

Lawgiver is to be understood as judge, dispenser or administrator of law.

BEGAN ARCHIVE PROPHECY UPDATE NUMBER 10

March, 2002

In our last prophecy update we discussed how the usage of a vast underground water supply in the Negev was producing a large variety of foodstuffs across its surface.

However, when one-third of the population of Israel is pushed into the Negev by the Antichrist in the middle of the Tribulation Period, the initial food supply and production will only be sufficient for a few months initially, and it will take a year to bring it to adequate levels for such a rise in numbers. So, for a few months, additional food will be provided by the “they” found in verse 6 of the 12th chapter of Revelation: “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that THEY should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.” The answer, as to who the “they” represents, is to be found in the preceding verse 5, where the word “NATIONS” acts as the precedent to the word “THEY” in verse 6: “And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all NATIONS with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.” (Revelation 12:5). Remember, in the initial attack of the Antichrist from Syria, all the nations of the world are not involved.

All the nations of the world do not become involved until some three years later at the final battle identified as Armageddon. So the “they” in verse 6 refers to nations from the free world.

Such nations as the United States, England, Canada, and Australia, will airlift food, clothing, and shelters to Israel in the Negev during this critical period of shortages. The Antichrist, since he has previously overrun the fertile and industrial heartland of Israel, will seek to gain world approval of his actions by appearing, at this point, to be a merciful conqueror, and will not contest this airlifting of foodstuffs to the Negev.

In fact, his aircraft will be under orders not to fire on any foreign aircraft for fear of getting involved in a war with the western powers.

As I informed you in previous prophecy updates, the Antichrist will be well aware of the defenses in the Negev, and will have no desire to penetrate any further south than Beersheba. But at the end of the Tribulation Period, he will send out a call to the European mainland, all the nations once under the Soviet Union, Russia, and all the countries of Asia and Africa, and many will come to this final great battle: “And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.” (Revelation 16:16).

The “Flying Elephant” is a very small part of internal supply associated with God’s airlift provisions provided to get Israel into the Negev, as well as providing airlifted provisions for Israel for 1260 days.

IDF to develop long-range supply parachute

“Flying Elephant” parachute will be powered by a propeller engine and launched by a catapult system. Talkbacks ()

The IDF has signed a contract with Elbit Systems to manufacture a long-range power-propelled parachute capable of carrying supplies to troops operating behind enemy lines.

Called “Flying Elephant,” the parachute is being designed to carry one ton of supplies. It will be powered by a propeller engine and be launched by a catapult system.

Once airborne, it will lift up cargo with a specially designed handle.

It will then use GPS to locate the landing site and has a level of accuracy of approximately 30 meters within the designated coordinates.

The system’s range will be approximately 30 kilometers, and Elbit is expected to complete development of a prototype within the coming two years. It will then enter mass production and be delivered to IDF regional commands and divisions.

 “Ideally, we will not want to have to use the parachute and we will do everything we can to open land based supply lines to forces operating behind enemy lines,” a senior officer from the IDF’s Logistics and Technology Directorate said.

Development of the Flying Elephant began after the Second Lebanon War in 2006 after it encountered significant difficulties in opening supply lines to forces operating just over the border. In 2009, the Defense Ministry issued a tender to local industries and it signed with Elbit several months ago.

The IDF has also developed a new cargo container that can be carried underneath transport helicopters and by the parachute, which does not slow down the speed of the aircraft.

To enable the fast speeds, the new container comes with built-in wings that were aerodynamically engineered to prevent wind resistance, which would otherwise slow down the helicopter or the parachute.

THE FIRST PROPHECY UPDATE (321) IS THE FIRST ONE YOU WILL SEE.

In Scripture Jesus was at times referred to as the Son of man, the Son of God, and the Son of David on multiple occasions.  David appears in both the genealogies of Joseph and Mary in Matthew and Luke through two of his sons, and is in the line of the kings that are be the forefathers of the King of Kings, the God-man in whom all the fullness of the God-head dwells bodily.  King David performed what Numbers 24:17 prophesied during the Exodus.

 David fulfilled this first part of Balaam’s prophecy around 1000 BC.

 Jesus will fulfill all of it completely as Emmanuel, the Son of God, the Son of Man, and the Son of David.  Jesus fulfils it as the Lion of Judah.  The King of Kings will come at his 2nd Advent and do the same as David, but on a much larger scale all the way to the Euphrates River in the Land Grant He gave to Abraham.

Numbers 24:17 – I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

Matthew 2:1,2 – Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, [2] Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.  

Hebrews 1:8 – But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

Now, with the sceptre of Numbers and Hebrews in mind, let us look at Genesis 49:10, which the man Israel uttered about coming prophetic events as they related to his 12 sons, in point the one relating to his son Judah, from whose seed Messiah, known as the Lion of Judah, was to come.

Genesis 49:10 – The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and UNTO HIM shall THE GATHERING of the people be.

The sceptre was a symbol of divine authority to rule. Most of the ancient kings possessed a sceptre. It was a rod or staff, usually long enough to rest on the floor between the ruler’s legs when he was on his thr

one. It was also a mark of succession that was passed from father to son when the old king expired.

And, as such, was a mark of the royal line of kings in a dynasty. The sceptre of a king was the “law of the land,” and as ruler, his sceptre w

as looked upon as authority to administer it.

The “law of the Medes and the Persians” was given with the authority of the sceptre as a “lawgiver.”

The tribe of Judah was the tribe to which the right to lead the other 11 descendant tribes was given. It was the tribe of Judah that received the blessing of Jacob to rule and lead the tribes.

Genesis 49:8 – Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father’s children shall bow down before thee.

Jacob indicated that Judah’s tribe, and the right to pass judgment by the sceptre between the legs of their ruler, would remain with them and their leaders, until a leader in Judah’s line came to hold the position forever. And that this leader, symbolically referred to as Shiloh, would bring tranquility and peace of soul to those who gathered to him by his future assurance of one day GATHERING THEM into his eternal kingdom.

John 3:14,15 – And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 12:32 – And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME.

Ephesians 1:6-10 – To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. [7] In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; [8] Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; [9] Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: [10] That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might GATHER TOGETHER in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even IN HIM:

Genesis 49:10 – The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and UNTO HIM shall THE GATHERING of the people be.

Of “Shiloh” Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance says, “It is a symbolic name for the ruler of Judah,” and in his Dictionary of New Testament Words he states; “It is an epithet of the Messiah.” The basic meaning of the word itself is “tranquil,” as one would associate with a genuine feeling of peace brought on by faith it would continue. It comes from another Hebrew root, “salah,” which means, “to be secure, be happy, be in safety.”

When Jesus came as Shiloh, he took up eternally the sceptre of the tribe of Judah, as his direct descendant in the line of David, through two of David’s sons, Solomon to Joseph, who was the son-in-law of Heli, and Nathan to Heli,

who was the father of Mary. As Shiloh, Jesus was the one in the line that will rule forever by his scepter, which is the lawgiver that allows him to be the judge of all who are gathered to him.

Micah indicates he was sent to be both the judge and the ruler of Israel.

Micah 5:1,2 – Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek. [2] But thou Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Hard Choices for Hamas with the Rise of the Muslim Brotherhood

Hamas is abandoning the sinking ship of Syria and many senior cadres have already settled in Gaza. At the same time, Iran has cut its subsidy to Hamas.

Not only is there a need to find new accommodations for Hamas political leader Khaled Mashaal and company, but there is also a political price: the need to decrease terror and transform itself from a pro-Iranian/Syrian “muqawama” (“resistance”) movement into a typical political party of the Muslim Brotherhood-type that are now in the process of taking control in the Arab world.

The Hamas leadership in Gaza prefers engagement with Cairo because the prospects of Muslim Brotherhood dominance are much more advanced in Egypt and the close vicinity to Gaza is promising for an eventual joining

of forces to advance to the restoration of the worldwide Islamic Caliphate.

The problem is that both the Egyptian military and the Muslim Brotherhood cannot accept it as a militant movement that threatens the precarious security situation in Egypt and the delicate balance the Brotherhood wants to establish with the military

in Cairo. It is not that the Brotherhood doesn’t care whether Hamas continues to be a “resistance” movement – to the contrary – but as long as they don’t do it from Cairo.

So what can Hamas do? Abandoning the “resistance” is a non-starter; conducting resistance from Gaza is possible, but the leadership is not sure if they can sustain another Israeli blow of the scope of Israel’s 2009 operation. They may aspire to move the “resistance” to the West Bank – and this is exactly what they are currently trying to do – but here they face the IDF.
