EVENT 4 – While Israel remains surrounded in the Negev Wilderness for some 1260 days after the United Nations brokers a truce or hudna agreed to by Islam and Israel, the Antichrist will continue his military conquests. He will conquer Egypt,

establish his capital at Cairo, and begin to establish a new Caliphate across all of Africa north and west of the Sahara Desert, all of the Middle East

south of the Black Sea, all the land to the south and west of a line from Georgia to Kyrgyzstan to Karachi, and all of Indonesia.

Daniel 11:41 – He shall enter also into THE GLORIOUS LAND, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these SHALL ESCAPE out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

The ancient boil of conflict between the descendants of Jacob, Ishmael, and the six sons of Keturah, with all its internal blend of impurities, is finally coming to a head in the Middle East. The existing world mindset toward peace will be shattered suddenly by a rapid blitzkrieg attack from the north by Syria. In league with Syria will be Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Morocco, and Turkey.

Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran will move rapidly southward through the “glorious land” of Israel like a fast moving thunderstorm, bypassing the land where the people of Moab, Ammon, and Edom were settled when Daniel wrote his prophecies in about 600 B.C. The descendants of Edom (Jacob’s brother), and Ammon and Moab (the sons of Lot), as found on every published map for this time period, were settled immediately to the southeast, east, and northeast of the Dead Sea, precisely in the country we know as Jordan today. Hence, we can know that the antichrist will bypass Jordan

as he moves south through Israel.

Why would he bypass Jordan? She has no strategic, political, or economic advantage to offer him, but the Suez Canal and Egypt do, so he will head southwest toward that area after having driven the woman Israel into the Negev Wilderness south of Beersheba. Additionally, I am convinced when he first enters the glorious land, the Palestinian terror groups in Jordan will rise up against the King, and overthrow the monarchy.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into

the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Daniel 11:42 – He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

The political, geophysical, and military positioning of Syria, Iran, and Iraq, from a prospective of having world influence, literally stinks. But the position of Egypt’s Suez Canal, and Cairo, her capital, is outstanding. The antichrist is supposed to be a man of genius in all areas. That being the case, he would be worse than a military academy dropout were he not to take the Suez Canal, and then make Cairo his empire’s capital.

Daniel 11:43 – But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

The three most “precious things” in Egypt are: the Suez Canal, the Nile River and its Delta, and Cairo, its capital. He will conquer the Suez Canal zone and all of Egypt. So just what is Egypt? Many are inclined to establish it as the land bordered on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, on the west by Libya, on the south by Sudan, on the southeast by the Red Sea, and on the northeast by its Sinai border with Gaza and Israel’s Negev. And, geographically, that is quite correct. However, in reality, that is not Egypt. The real Egypt, where her people live, is much, much, smaller. Egypt is the land along her north and east coastlines up to about two miles inland, the Nile Delta, and the land along the Nile River extending about fifteen miles either side of its banks.

The antichrist will send messages to leaders of two of the original 10 nations confederated with him, namely Libya and Sudan, requesting them to mass their troops along the northern coastal border with Libya, and along the border where the Nile enters Egypt from Sudan. This will cause the diversion of some Egyptian troops away from Cairo and the Suez Canal in order to protect their western and southern borders.

And this will allow the antichrist to rapidly push across the Suez Canal into Cairo and along her western and eastern coastlines, then to quickly progress southward down the Nile with little resistance. I believe he will control Egypt within two weeks after he reaches the Suez Canal.

Once he has conquered Egypt, he will make an assessment of his geopolitical position. After having done so, he would be a military fool to return to his home country. He will establish his capital at Cairo, and will remain there for more than three years. After three years he will receive news that causes him to quickly return to Jerusalem.

If a military leader plans to put down his roots for a while, what would be one of his major concerns

? The relationship he has with the rulers of the nations that are on his immediate borders. That is, how sure he is they will not pull a surprise attack on him. So, through the prestigious position he has gained in the eyes of the Islamic world by this time, it will allow him to use the terrorist groups, already in Sudan and Libya, to overthrow their leaders, and in their place to install two of his stooges, where they will remain in control for some three years. He will already have plucked up the ruler of Lebanon, and replaced him with a stooge.

It will surprise me if Lebanon, Sudan, and Libya are not the countries from which his stooges will rule.

Daniel 7:7,24 – I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were THREE of the FIRST horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. [24] And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue THREE kings.

I believe the kings (rulers) of Lebanon, Libya, and Sudan will be subdued by being personally plucked up by the roots out of their positions of leadership in their own countries, and replaced by puppet rulers who do exactly as the antichrist directs.

Daniel 11:43 – But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

“At his steps” means “companionship” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance & Wilson’s O.T. Word Studies). This expression also appears in Judges 4:10, where it appears as “at his feet.”

Judges 4:10 – And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.

It represents an Old Testament word picture of a conquered leader or country laying yearly tribute payments before the king of the conquering country, who is setting on his throne, and the tribute is being placed at his feet on the steps leading up to his throne. So I believe the antichrist will place his puppet rulers on the thrones of Lebanon, Syria, and Sudan as those who are in “companionship” with him.

ESTABLISHMENT OF MAHDI ANTICHRIST’S GREAT CALIPHATE!

After the Antichrist conquers Egypt the initial ten Islamic countries that supported him will be quickly joined by a multiplicity of

Islamic nations. His great Caliphate will include Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, all the countries that make up the Saudi Arabian Peninsula, Israel north of Beersheba, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, many of the southern states of the former Soviet Union with large Arab populations, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

Having gone to military schools, lived among, worked with, and trained those of the Islamic faith as a much younger man, plus being familiar with prophecy since my youth, I have not only been waiting for many years for the true Messiah, Jesus Christ, but I have also been waiting for the arrival of the 12th Imam on the scene prior to the arrival of Jesus. I have long believed the 12th Imam Mahdi will be the 11th horn of Daniel 7, and the first beast of John’s Revelation 13.

His coming is the great hope of all Islam.

The Iranian President is a fanatical believer of his coming, and believes Mahdi will cause universal acceptance of Allah.

I believe his Caliphate Kingdom will have Cairo as its capital.

For more than three years, with the Suez Canal under his control, he will gain worldwide recognition and acclaim in his capital city of Cairo. Israel will be trapped in the Negev for more than three years (See previous updates), and stability will have come to the troubled Middle East. He will supposedly have done what all nations say they are seeking, that is, brought stability to the Middle East.

But, during last year of his rule as Caliph, something will cause him to quickly head for Jerusalem.

“Al-Quds” reports new Syrian military operation seeks to “eliminate armed rebellion proclaimed by terrorists against civilians and the army.”

Syrian President Bashar Assad declared a state of war on Wednesday and issued a general mobilization of troops, Al-Quds newspaper reported Thursday evening.

Operation “Bayrak al-Assad” was implemented secretly, and is a “major military operation” requiring full mobilization of military forces in Syria for concentrated offensives on cities across the country in order to eliminate “terrorists who threaten us,” according to the report.

On Friday Syria broadcast terrorists confessing to building bombs in order to attack civilians and Syrian forces in Latakia, Israel Radio reported.

Syria’s new military operation is an escalation of President Bashar Assad’s violent crackdown against what some call “pro-democracy activists” and others call “terrorists,” which began in March.

This order implies a significant difference between the peacetime efforts carried out by Syrian military forces since March to round up terrorists trying to undermine the Syrian regime, and the newly declared state of war.

The stated goal of the new offensive, which required the mobilization and full preparedness of the Syrian military, is “the elimination of armed rebellion, proclaimed by terrorist organizations against the civilian population and elements of the army and security forces for several months,” according to the Al Quds report.

Syrian president tells national TV measures have been taken as protests become “more militant,” shows confidence uprising will end soon.

Syrian President Bashar Assad said on Sunday the unrest sweeping the country had become more militant in recent weeks but he was confident it could be controlled, and that elections could potentially be held within as little as three months.

Assad said that security forces were taking measures to deal with the
months-long uprising by protesters demanding his ouster.

“We are capable of dealing with it.. (I) am not worried,” he said during an interview broadcast on Syrian television.

Assad refused to divulge the specifics of the measures, but said that the situation in Syria was going to return to normal, and that his security forces have taken are succeeding.

Days after Syrian opposition leaders announced that they were meeting in Istanbul to discuss plans for a future Syria without Assad, the Syrian president said that a national dialogue was crucial for moving the political situation in the country forward.

Assad said the country would be ready for political parties besides the ruling Baath Party to submit applications within a week, paving the way for possible elections in as little as three months, but that February, 2012 would be the most logical time for voting.

Protesters in Syria have been calling for Assad’s ouster since mid-March, and the regime has come under international criticism for its violent crackdown on demonstrations in which thousands of people have been killed.

The Umayyad Caliphate was Wounded to Death, But Now Resurrects to Life!

WHEN JOHN WROTE REVELATION 17:

Five Fallen King Dynasties that had affected Israel were: [1] Egypt, [2] Assyria, [3] Babylon, [4] Persia, and [5] Macedonia

Number [6] “One is” [6] Rome, which was affecting Israel while John wrote.

Number [7] “The other is not yet come” was to be the Islamic Umayyad Caliphate (661-750 AD} which did come and continued “a short space.”

Number [8] – “The last one is of the seven,” in that it is Islamic like Number [7] and its king is Islamic, and the Antichrist. And it will come and continue a brief period symbolized as lasting “one hour.

The Number [7] Islamic Umayyad Caliphate was some 566 years in the future when John wrote Revelation, hence was said to be “the other is not yet come,” and indeed, its dynasty did continue a short space of 89 years.

Caliphs of those 89 years were all Islamic.

The 7th Kingdom was a Caliphate with an Islamic Caliph. Kingdom 8 is said to be “of the seven,” because Kingdom 8 is the resurrected Kingdom 7 and, as such, is a Caliphate with a Caliphate King, who is the Antichrist. Kingdom 8 will be of much shorter duration than “a short space” of 89 years for Kingdom 7. Kingdom 8 will last for “one hour,” which will be some three and one-half years.

Revelation 17:10-13 – And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. [11] And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. [12] And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. [13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

I also believe that the Mahdi, which the Muslims are waiting to arrive and deliver them, will be the one the Bible calls the Antichrist. He will supposedly be killed by a weapon of war, then supposedly come back to life miraculously by the False Prophet performing it. I believe the one identified as Jesus Christ by Islam will be the False Prophet of Revelation 7:11-14. The Islam Mahdi it the first Beast and the Islamic Jesus Is the second Beast.

THE FIRST BEAST

Revelation 13:1-3 – And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. [2] And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. Denmark-Based Salafi-Jihadi Cleric: Osama Bin Laden’s Death Heralds ‘Conquest and Destruction in the Lands of the Infidels’

On June 2, 2011, the jihadi forum Al-Tahadi published an essay by Salafi-jihadi cleric Abu ‘Uzair Al-Jazairi (the Algerian), who resides in Aarhus, Denmark, titled “The Killing of Great Leaders – A Harbinger of Conquest and Destruction in the Lands of the Infidels.”[1] The essay, written in rhymed prose, aims to console the Muslims over Osama bin Laden’s killing by assuring them that it heralds the imminent destruction of the infidel West and its conquest by the Muslim ummah.

Al-Jaza’iri, who identifies himself as Abu ‘Uzair ‘Abd Al-Ilah Youssef Al-Youbi Al-Husni Al-Jazairi, has in recent months gained some prominence in Salafi-jihadi circles. On April 11, 2011, the Salafi-jihadi website Minbar Al-Tawhid Wal-Jihad announced that he has joined its shari’a committee, and the jihadi forum Al-Tahadi has established a discussion board on his writings.
Following is an overview of the essay:[2]

Only War Can Settle the Score with the Infidels

In the introduction to the essay, Abu ‘Uzair states that humanity is engaged in an eternal, fateful battle between “the supporters of the merciful One,” i.e., the Muslims, and “the supporters of the devil,” i.e., the infidels. The latter, he explains, are constantly trying to sway Muslims from their faith, and will only be deterred by force. The first part of the essay elaborates on this eternal struggle. Abu ‘Uzair stresses that it will only be decided through military confrontation, and whoever claims otherwise is lying: “By the Lord of the Ka’ba, whoever wishes to deceive by [proposing to resolve the conflict through] dialogue, or tries to cover it up with neighborly relations or reconciliation and friendship – is lying.” He adds that, out of their arrogance and hatred of the Muslims, the infidels are always trying to separate the Muslims from their faith, which is the aim of all their crimes against the Muslims, from colonialism to the current NATO campaign in Afghanistan and the war on terror.

Abu ‘Uzair asserts that the secularism of the Western world is a mere pretense, because the West is actually driven by deep Christian beliefs and Crusader ambitions, and its techniques have remained unchanged throughout the ages. As evidence of this, he cites verses from the Koran, comparing them to current events. For example, he quotes a verse in which Pharaoh accuses Moussa (Moses) of “spreading corruption in the land.” He explains that the same accusation is being leveled today against Al-Qaeda: “Observe how this insolent infidel [i.e., Pharaoh]… accuses Allah’s prophet Moussa of [spreading] corruption in the land. This is the very same description that is now being applied to the group that is fighting the hostile alliance [i.e., NATO], the slaves of the Cross, and the Jews, and also to its senior leaders, especially to the heroic lion Osama [bin Laden], may Allah have mercy on him… and to the other members of the elite, the loyal martyrs who have passed away and did not change [their faith]… [Bin Laden’s death] was the reason for my writing these words. I do not wish for [this essay] to be a eulogy, but rather an [expression] of loyalty. [I also wish to] explain the nature of the conflict that is raging in all the lands, as well as the momentous message concealed in the death of great men, and the affect [of their death] on the believers and the infidels.”

Abu ‘Uzair emphasizes that, though the infidels are fighting Islam, they will be defeated in this world and are destined to suffer great torments in the next. The rest of the essay’s first part is dedicated to a polemical argument against Muslim scholars in the religious establishment who defend the war on terror, calling them “apostates loyal [to the secular regimes],” “Rafidites” (i.e., Shi’ites), “groveling Sufis,” etc.

Death in Battle Is the Privilege Granted to the Best of Men

In the second part of the essay, Abu ‘Uzair presents his main argument, namely that bin Laden’s death – like that of many leaders and prominent figures throughout Islamic history – heralds great victories for Islam. First, he again emphasizes that humanity is divided into believers and infidels: “When Allah decided to divide [humanity], He did so in the following manner: ‘[One] party shall be in paradise and another party in hellfire’ [Koran 42:7]. [God made] the two groups different in order to ensure a clear distinction between them, so that good may be spread, so people can tread [the earth safely], so lands can be cultivated, and so the believers may be reassured. Otherwise, deceit would grow, calamity

would swiftly come, good would be fought, and vice would be promoted. Therefore, there is no choice but to wage war, so that the believers may live and the heads of the infidels may be cut off and so they meet [their] calamitous fate…

Abu ‘Uzair then stresses that for martyrs, death is not a defeat but a victory, and quotes a verse describing God’s imminent annihilation of the infidels: “Allah said: ‘How many of the prophets fought [for the sake of Allah] and with them fought large bands of godly men

? But they never lost heart if they met disaster in Allah’s way, nor did they weaken in will nor give in. And Allah loves those who are firm and steadfast. All that they said was: Our Lord! Forgive us our sins and anything we may have done that transgressed our duty: Establish our feet firmly, and give us victory over the unbelievers. Therefore Allah gave them a reward in this world, and the excellent reward of the Hereafter. For Allah Loves the righteous’ [Koran 3:146-148]. ‘And that he may test the faithful and annihilate the infidels’ [Koran 3:141].

“Whoever studies this verse… knows that death along the way and the splitting of the body with catapults is not a sign of defeat, as the people of unbelief and enmity believe, but rather a [sign of] vigor, mobilization, and striving for purification – as evident from Allah’s words: ‘They never lost heart if they met disaster in Allah’s way, nor did they weaken in will nor give in.’ He who dies [as a martyr] sits by Allah’s side, so he may worship only God. He is by no means defeated.

Rather, he is content in his death, thanks to the fate that Allah Himself promised to award this sublime sect [i.e., the mujahideen] in saying:… ‘We have already given our word to Our slaves the prophets, that they will be the victorious ones. Our forces – surely they will conquer’ [Koran 37:171-173]. In most cases, ‘to conquer’ in the Koran means to conquer with the sword and the spear…”

Abu ‘Uzair then explains that death on the battlefield is a privilege of the very best of men: “This fate befell the prophets who were commanded to [wage] jihad… This reward is promised to the prophets and their followers, until the day comes for their souls to be taken. As Allah said: ‘Allah hath bought from the believers their souls and their properties because paradise will be theirs: they shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Koran: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? Then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: for that is the supreme triumph’ [Koran 9:111]… In saying, ‘They… shall be slain,’ [Allah] teaches us that [their death] will pain us, [and that it will be primarily] the leaders and the devout [who are slain]… There is no escape from this. The Lord referred to the death of the great leaders as a blow: ‘If you have suffered a blow, so did the enemy.

We alternate these vicissitudes among mankind so that Allah may know the true believers and choose martyrs from among you.’ [Koran 3:140]. This was said of the death of Hamza bin ‘Abd Al-Muttalab, [who died] with seventy others in the Battle of Uhud. Had this not been a severe blow, the Prophet would not have felt such deep sorrow. The purpose of this painful, dreadful blow is [explained in the same verse]: ‘And so he may take witnesses [i.e., martyrs] from among your ranks.’ Pay heed, O believer, to the words ‘from among your ranks.’ You will find that the best of men [i.e., those who will be martyred] are an exclusive and designated group. Not everyone who fights will be killed. But those who are destined to be killed – to be martyred – must be celebrated for the status they have [achieved] when they are killed, thanks to divine predestination…”

The Infidels Will Soon Regret Killing Bin Laden

Abu ‘Uzair goes on to list cases from Islamic history in which the death of great men heralded new conquests by the Muslims and the fall of infidel countries to the Muslim armies: “Upon the death of Hamza bin ‘Abd Al-Muttalib, the greatest of martyrs, humiliation befell the infidels of [the] Quraysh [tribe]. Their lands were conquered and became dar al-Islam [the Abode of Islam] for as long as the world exists – and the Arabs began converting to Islam in their multitudes.

“After the death of the Prophet, the apostates were eradicated, the head of [the Persian emperor] Khosrau was cut off, and there will be no more Khosrau until the Day of Resurrection. Allah humiliated the Persians, who were a people of strength and iron, but the whip of Islam struck them and their lands were conquered. This happens, inevitably, after the death of every great [Muslim] leader…”

Abu Uzair concludes his words of encouragement by calling bin Laden’s death a torch to light the path toward action, and says the infidels will regret having killed him and that the day of vengeance is approaching: “The nation of Islam is fertile, and on its head are many blessings. It experiences a reawakening of monotheism and of the war against its rivals every 100 years, receiving divine reinforcement.

It is said in the Koran that when a dreadful [event] befalls [the Muslim ummah], it cleaves to [Allah]. The killing of its great leaders is a torch [lighting the path toward] action… [The Muslim ummah] will not accept falsehood, as the Jews and Christians accepted treacherous bida’ [forbidden innovations]. They distorted the Holy Book and claim that God begat children. Allah will bring forth someone to refute their ideas and, using proof, put sense into them. [The Muslim ummah] is protected by th

is proof, and by the sword and the spear. The Muslim ummah will overcome those who attack the Koran, even if it faces increasing disasters.

“Will the evil infidels and the brazen hypocrites… regret killing the heroic lion, the pure Osama bin Laden…? Regarding this, we [repeat] what the righteous scholars have said… They will regret [killing bin Laden] just as their predecessors [regretted their deeds]: ‘On that day all mankind shall be assembled. That shall be a fateful day. And We defer it only to a term already reckoned’ [Koran 11: 103-104]. This verse speaks of the day of the infidels’ calamity, which will inevitably be the day of vengeance for the innocent… And this day is drawing near…”

When Daniel wrote his prophecies the country Sudan did not exist, but was

Jihadists among the Libyan rebels revealed plans last week on the Internet to subvert the post-Moammar Gadhafi government and create an Islamist state, according to U.S. intelligence agencies.

U.S. officials said spy agencies are stepping up surveillance of Islamist-oriented elements among Libyan rebels.

A government report circulated Tuesday said extremists were observed “strategizing” on Internet forums about how to set up an Islamist state in Libya after the regime of Col.

Gadhafi is defeated.

“Several forum participants have suggested that, following a transitional stage, the battle should turn against secularist rebels and members of the [rebels’] Transitional National Council,” the unclassified report stated.

Some U.S. officials sought to play down the remarks by noting that such Internet postings are not always accurate measures of jihadist plans.

The report said the jihadists’ strength and influence on the ground “are uncertain at this time.”

He is currently known as Abdel Hakim al-Khulidi Belhaj and led rebels in overrunning Col.

Gadhafi’s Tripoli compound.

A U.S. official familiar with intelligence reports on the region said there are concerns that some LIFG members remain committed to al Qaeda and others may be temporarily renouncing their ties to the terrorist group for “show.”

“Some members of LIFG in the past had connections with al Qaeda in Sudan, Afghanistan or Pakistan, and others dropped their relationship with al Qaeda entirely,” the official said.

“It seems – from their statements and support for establishing a democracy in Libya – that this faction of LIFG does not support al Qaeda.

We’ll definitely be watching to see whether this is for real or just for show.”

A defense official familiar with jihadist strategy said Islamists likely will emerge in power from the turmoil expected after the demise of the Gadhafi regime and the West will be partly to blame.

“We’re helping pave the way for them” through NATO airstrikes and other support, he said.

About 1,000 jihadists are operating covertly in Libya, Noman Benotman, a former Libyan al Qaeda member, told The Washington Times in March.

According to a translation of the forum exchanges, Libyan Islamists view the fall of Tripoli to rebels as the initial phase of a battle to take over the country.

Jihadists were urged to prepare for the next stage in the battle: taking on secular rebels and the interim National Transitional Council, sometimes called the Transitional National Council, the secular political organization that is mainly pro-democratic.

The jihadists want to set up an Islamist state ruled by Shariah law.

Sources linked to the rebel Sudan People’s Liberation Army forces in Southern Kordofan, in Sudan’s south-east, claim as many as 3,000 people have been killed or have disappeared since the fighting broke out early in June.

But it is impossible to verify this because the regional government and the administration in Khartoum, led by Omar al-Bashir, has barred the UN or other aid agencies from the area.

The attacks have “completely undermined UNMIS’ ability to fulfil the most basic requirements of its mandate in the fields”, the report states.

Earth’s Groaning and Travailing Will Soon Accelerate!

I have been consistent from my first book to the last in the insistence that there would be an increase in natural disasters in advance of the tribulation period, and that the increase would show a massive acceleration across the earth following the first great earthquake found in Revelation 6:12, which begins the last 1260 days of the tribulation period.

Revelation 6:12 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

In my last book of the early eighties, “Tribulation Birth Pangs from the Bottomless Pit,” I titled chapter 1, “The Birth Pangs”, and began it as follows:

Romans 8:19,22 – For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. [22] For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Before the sons of God appear in glorious manifestation on the millennial earth, there is to be a groaning of God’s creation, and the earth will travail like a woman experiencing birth pangs. Birth pangs were occasionally felt in the earth’s crust by seismic shakings during the time of Paul’s writings, but Matthew indicated they would increase noticeably, even before the tribulation period, in a period of time identified as “the beginning of sorrows.”

Matthew 24:7,8 – For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Please allow me to continue discussing this acceleration of groaning by a crust that has been producing great groaning sounds for a very long time as its plates slid by one another to produce earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunami.

Romans 8:22 – For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pa

in together until now.

The word translated “creation” is “ktisis,” which means “all that which was created,” and, in this context, refers to all that God created, including the earth, all that is on it and in it.

The last massive groaning and travail in pain by earth occurred when man had reached such a state of utter degradation in ungodly immorality that God deemed it necessary to bring judgment on the human race, and he did it by using his creation, the earth, to bring it to pass.

God used his earth to destroy man who dwelt on it – He destroyed man with the earth.

Genesis 6:5,13 – And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. [13] And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I WILL DESTROY THEM WITH THE EARTH.

My comments on this verse, which I placed in “The Key of the Bottomless Pit,” more than 25 years ago, and the one which follows it, are quoted from an extract from the book as follows: (Begin Quote from Book)

“We are told repeatedly in the New Testament, “as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the Son of man.” Please recall the magnitude of this first great tribulation in which only eight people survived, the rest being destroyed by water. Please observe in verse 13 that God, not man, did the destroying (I will destroy); and please note it was not done with man’s help or technology (with the earth). God used his own natural creation to destroy sinful mankind with water. How did God being it to pass? The answer is found in Genesis 7:11,12.

Genesis 7:11,12 – In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep BROKEN UP, and the windows of heaven were opened. [12] And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

Most biblical references of today positively identify the “great deep” of verse 11 as the crustal surface of the earth that underlies the seas and oceans of the world. May I remind you that God created the crust of the earth long ago and is able to manipulate it as he pleases. Virtually all references identify “windows of heaven” as the atmosphere of the earth, which was also a previous creation of God. So God took two things he has already created and manipulated them to bring forth water from above and below to destroy sinful mankind.

In the approaching Great Tribulation Period, God will once again manipulate the crust and its atmosphere to bring forth not water, but rather fire from below and from above. During the pages that follow, I will show that God intends to shake the earth to its geological foundations by his great power, and the results of that shaking will be the fulfillment of most of the destructive prophecies uttered by the revelator John and the Old Testament prophets concerning the last years of this age.” (End Quote from Book)

The soon coming tribulation period will see the greatest groaning and travail of the earth that has ever occurred since God placed man upon it.

Matthew 24:21 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Revelation 16:18 – And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

Romans 8:22,19 – For we know that the whole creation (ktisis) groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. [19] For the earnest expectation of the creature (ktisis) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

The same Greek word, “ktisis” is used for “creation” and “creature.” In context it refers to all the things God created except man, and it is mankind that the rest of his creation is waiting to see manifested in glorified form, children of God in glorified bodies when Christ brings them back to earth at his Second Advent. The greatest massive groaning and travailing of the earth will occur during the last 1260 days of the tribulation period, which will be ended by the return of the saved to the earth at the Second Advent of Jesus. The massive local groaning and travailing of the earth’s crust that produced the tsunami in the East Indies is a forerunner of what we can expect on a worldwide basis during the great tribulation period. We have not yet entered into the tribulation period, but I do believe our entrance is just around the corner, not in the distant future.

The most import ant thing for

a child of God is not to know WHEN it will occur, but to be ready now for its sudden arrival. A child of God should want to have great rewards with Christ at his Second Advent. One surely needs to be in one of the Lord’s churches,

and to be member who is watching for Christ’s coming in his lifestyle and work for Christ, as Jesus indicates in

his warning to the church at Sardis. Men and women are not saved by their baptism, church membership, or works, but such things determine what you wear on the glorified body, and where you live relative to where the Lord positions himself in the millennium on this earth, and in the final kingdom on the new earth. I am saved eternally by grace through faith, but make no mistake, as one who is assured of living in heaven, I would be a spiritual fool if I did not follow my master’s example. He walked some 50 miles to be baptized by the proper authority, and, as the head and foundation of the first church, was faithful to death. Works by saved men and women determine what they wear and where they live after they have already arrived in heaven. You will not lose your inner garment, but you can

lose your robe and your crown if you sow to the flesh rather than to the Spirit, who indwells you and tries to lead your saved soul in good works.

Ephesians 4:30 – And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Galatians 6:7 – Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

John warned the churches at Sardis and Philadelphia that lifestyles of individual church members would be manifested by the outer appearance of what they would be wearing one day in heaven.

Revelation 3:2-4 – Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. [3] Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and

thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. [4] Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

Revelation 3:11 – Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

His warning to the church at Laodicea is also for the entire church and the individual members of it.

Most of the Lord’s churches today are in the spiritual condition of the church at Laodicea.

Revelation 3:14-22 – And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; [15] I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

[16] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

[17] Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: [18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. [19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. [20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. [21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Faithfulness in one of the Lord’s local churches will be manifested by the outer apparel he or she wears forever in heaven. Hopefully, this horrible tsunami in the East Indies may wake up some spiritually sleeping members to a more zealous service to God before the really great tsunamis of the tribulation period begin. Please take a look at the following Scriptures and ask yourself: How glorious will I appear in heaven?

Exhausting year of US natural disasters not over yet

WASHINGTON — Nature is pummeling the United States this year with extremes.

Unprecedented triple-digit Fahrenheit (38-plus-degree Celsius) heat and devastating drought. Deadly tornadoes leveling towns. Massive rivers overflowing. A billion-U.S.-dollar blizzard. And now, unusual hurricane-caused flooding in a northeastern state of Vermont.

If what’s falling from the sky isn’t enough, the ground shook in places that normally seem stable: Colorado and the entire East Coast. On Friday, a strong quake triggered brief tsunami warnings in Alaska. Arizona and New Mexico have broken records for wildfires.

Total weather losses top US$35 billion, and that’s not counting Hurricane Irene, according to the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration. There have been more than 700 U.S. disaster and weather deaths, most from the tornado outbreaks this spring.

Last year, the world seemed to go wild with natural disasters in the deadliest year in a generation. But 2010 was bad globally, and the United States mostly was spared.

This year, while there have been devastating events elsewhere, such as the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Australia’s flooding and a drought in Africa, it’s is the United States’ turn to get smacked. Repeatedly.

The U.S. has had a record 10 weather catastrophes costing more than US$1 billion: five separate tornado outbreaks, two different major river floods in the Upper Midwest and the Mississippi River, drought in the Southwest and a blizzard that crippled the Midwest and Northeast, and Irene.

What’s happening, say experts, is mostly random chance or bad luck. But there is something more to it, many of them say. Manmade global warming is increasing the odds of getting a bad roll of the dice.

Sometimes the luck seemed downright freakish.
