Hudna is an Arabic term meaning a temporary “truce” or “armistice” as well as “calm” or “quiet”, coming from a verbal root meaning “calm”. It is sometimes translated as “cease-fire”.

A particularly famous early hudna was the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah between Muhammad and the Quraysh tribe.

According to Umdat al-Salik wa Uddat al-Nasik, a medieval summary of Shafi’i jurisprudence, hudnas with a non-Muslim enemy should be limited to 10 years: “if Muslims are weak, a truce may be made for ten years if necessary, for the Prophet made a truce with the Quraysh for that long, as is related by Abu Dawud” (‘Umdat as-Salik, o9.16)

Israel’s victory in 1967, its superiority in weaponry, the success of its economy, and its triumph in every war in which its existence was at stake has bred a dangerous complacency. Indeed, most Israelis today ridicule the very idea of Israel’s impermanence.

At a first glance Israel looks like an independent, vital, productive Jewish state in its historical land; a state capable of self-defense and of ingathering millions of Jews from the Diaspora.

In spite of dreadful wars, continued Islamic terror, world

bias and blatant Arab attempts to destroy Israel, the tiny Israel has grown and prospered.

Schools, universities, hospitals, technical institutes, theatres and publishing houses have flourished in a newly refashioned but ancient tongue. So did Jewish democracy. Israel made the desert bloom and it showed that Jews, too, can wage war.

Israel survived, after 16,450 troops have died in six wars with Arab countries.

Imagining nightmarish scenarios may be an illusion of some pessimist, non-Jewish writers. Perhaps Israel will live through a happy period ahead and the worst-case predictions will never materialize. After all, a recent Gallup poll found Israel to be the seventh-most happiest country in the world. However, according to another poll, released by Yedioth Ahronoth a few years ago, 47% of Israelis are concerned that in 2048 – the centenary of Israel’s founding – there will be no Israel.

Israel’s enemies are currently working hard for a future that is clear to them: a world without Zionism; a world without Israel. Will Israel survive? This looks like a strategic question now that the United Nations is going to decide about Israel’s future with the recognition of a new Islamic state on its borders: Palestine.

Israel is a small country. This is not to say that it’s destined for extinction; only that it can be. Of the children of Abraham, the descendants of Ishmael occupy 800 times more land than the descendants of Isaac. Any political change in these countries would have a quadrupled effect on Israel’s security and sovereignty.

Moreover, in its vulnerability to extinction, Israel is not just any small country. It is the only small country whose neighbors declare its very existence an affront to God and make its extinction an explicit, paramount national goal.

Only one nation is regarded as virtually having no civilians: Israel.

Is Turkey the next Iran?

The rulers of Turkey and Egypt

are now leading Israel into a dangerous corner. Egypt was cleansed again of all its Jews, after the Israeli embassy was attacked and destroyed.

Even the PLO, which was forced into ostensible recognition of Israel in the Oslo Agreements of 1993, is still ruled by a national charter that calls in at least 14 places for Israel’s eradication, a sign of how deeply engraved the dream of eradicating Israel remains in the Islamic consciousness.

History has proven that what the Arab people desire rarely coincides with what is good for Israel and the Jews. The current Middle East is like Iran in 1979 and the Palestinian territories in 2006: many words on liberalism and democracy, but anarchy, death and political Islam on the ground.

Professor Bernard Lewis has just warned that Turkey could be “the next Iran.” And what would happen if, instead of the corrupted Assad regime, another government took power, one with Islamist genocidal ambitions toward the nearby Jewish state?

The vast majority of Jews in the Diaspora are assimilating and intermarrying at a level unequalled in Jewish history. “The dissolution of European Jewry,” observed Bernard Wasserstein in “Vanishing Diaspora: The Jews in Europe since 1945”, “is not situated at some point in a hypothetical future. The process is taking place before our eyes and is already far advanced.”

There is a sense of increasing erosion of support abroad for Israel, also in the friendly US, and of a constant and unrelenting air of tension, a nagging sense, somehow, of having lost the way despite immense accomplishments.

The odorless scenario of Israel’s end sees Theodor Herzl’s picture taken down from the wall of the Knesset, the Star of David flag and the Hatikva anthem modified, the seven-branched candelabra removed as the expression of Am Yisrael, the Chief Rabbinate abolished and the name of the state turned into Falastin.

The realistic scenario sees the Palestinian state arming itself and forming alliances with, say, Islamists in Egypt, Turkey, Syria and Iran. War breaks out between Palestine and Israel. The Muslims attack from without and the home front comes under terrorist, guerrilla attack from Palestine.

Chemical and biological weapons rain down from Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

Israel can be overrun.

Will the Islamic Jihad, Hamas and Hezbollah launch their rockets at the Israeli cities of Ashkelon, Sderot, Beersheba, Haifa, Kfar Saba, Zichron Yaakov and Kiryat Shmona? Will thousands of Jews flee to underground shelters? Will bloody attacks be planned against Jews at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem? Will the Jewish holy sites – Rachel’s tomb in Bethlehem, Cave of Patriarchs in Hebron and Joseph’s tomb in Nablus – be destroyed by local mobs? Will Jewish areas in eastern Jerusalem be subjected to Arab sniper fire? Will Katyusha rockets start falling on runways at Ben-Gurion Airport or on the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem highway, so that Israel’s economy would simply cease to exist?

Then we arrive at the worst scenario.

Western Intelligence is whispering that Iran is only awaiting the order of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to announce its atomic bomb. To destroy the Jewish people, Hitler needed to conquer the world.

All that is needed today is to conquer a territory smaller than Vermont. What will be of Israel in case the Iranian mullahs launch a nuclear bomb on the coastal plain, where more than 70% of population – one-third of all world Jews – lives?

Israel’s ports, airports, refining capacities and industries are all there, and 600 feet in

the air you see it all, from Ashkelon in the south to the Haifa Bay in the north.

The first Gulf War reminded even the most wishful thinkers that in an age of nerve gas, missiles and atomic bombs, Israel with its compact population and tiny land area is particularly vulnerable to extinction. Twenty years ago, Saddam Hussein’s Scud rockets began to rain down on Tel Aviv.

The specter of a chemical attack was Israel’s nightmare, because anthrax was a reality in Iraq. In all, 39 missiles fell on Israel. On those cold nights, Jews wore gas masks, because Saddam had revived the idea in the Israeli unconscious that the Jews could be gassed again.

And so Israelis checked their shelters, sealed doors and windows, stood in line for gas masks in the hallways of schools and watched chemical-warfare defense videos. Food cans quickly disappeared from the supermarkets.

Saddam’s Scuds damaged 4,393 buildings, 3,991 apartments and 331 public institutions. This account does not include the incalculable costs of equipping every Israeli with a gas mask, of the need for every Israeli family to prepare sealed rooms, of the national disruption caused by multiple alerts, and lost business and tourism.

It can happen again. Now or tomorrow.

Israel is not on the edge, but it is a small country. It can disappear, and it knows it. Meanwhile, some parts of the world are drooling w ith anticipation for

it.

The efforts of “THE WEST” to establish democracy among the Arab and Persian Middle East is not going to succeed. The Al Jazeera Excerpt in this Blog is very hard for the majority western mindset to accept, but having lived among Arabs and Persians, working with, instructing, and attending IHL’ s with them, I under

stand their majority mindset. It will not change until the Second Advent at Armageddon. We are heading toward a major war in the Middle East, which will culminate with its final great Battle of Armageddon. There is no doubt in my mind the start of war in the Middle East is NOT “IF” but “WHEN!” I believe the most LIKELY time for the war to BEGIN will be at some point in time between 2013 and 2015.

Israel’s belligerent foreign policy has caused further isolation in the region, leading Turkey to downgrade ties.

Israel is under pressure. The decline of American influence in the Middle East has combined with the Arab revolutions, Turkey’s regional ascendancy and the Palestinians’ statehood bid at the UN, to erode its global position.

Additionally, an increased awareness of Israeli apartheid around the world has worked to undermine the historically sufficient “security” argument used to justify the occupation of Palestine. It has been a short 20 years since the theatrical Arafat-Clinton-Rabin lawn party, and Israel has already traversed most of the distance to comprehensive global isolation.

Israeli analysts were right in their assessments of the consequences of the revolution in Egypt. In that country, most people are sensitive to the Palestinian point of view. Many of them believe that Zionism, which is Jewish nationalism in historical Palestine, is only the most recent iteration of European colonialism.

They are unsympathetic to the argument that it was necessary

to ethnically cleanse the land of Palestine in order to establish Israel. Moreover, they believe apartheid – the system by which Israel governs the Occupied Territories – is an atrocity.

For decades an imperious Egyptian dictatorship worked to protect Israel from popular opinion in Egypt. Its primary inducement was American money – about $2bn of it annually. But the revolution capsized Hosni Mubarak’s American jackboot and today Israel is forced to confront the irrepressible Egyptian call for Palestinian freedom.

Now Hosni Mubarak is on trial and the Egyptian-Israeli relationship is being similarly scrutinised. The Israeli ambassador’s recent flight from Cairo is a reasonable indication of where the relationship stands today. It is also probably a forward indicator.

History blindsided the Israelis in February; there was nothing they could do to preserve their strongman in Cairo. With Turkey, however, Israel’s political leadership worked with bizarre zealousness to undermine a reliable ally. By orchestrating a series of moves that showcased Israel’s contempt for Turkish lives, pride, property and humanitarian concerns, Tel Aviv succeeded in poisoning the only normal relationship it had with a Muslim-majority country.

Significantly, this occurred as Turkey sought to play a greater leadership role in the region.

Ignoring all the signals

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan signalled in 2009 – during Israel’s war on Gaza, which killed 1,400 Palestinians – that Israeli attacks on civilians would not be tolerated. The following year, Israeli commandos killed eight unarmed Turkish civilians and an American on international waters. The Turkish response was to demand an apology and compensation for the victims’ families. The Israelis refused, further incensing the Turkish leadership.

The relationship between the two countries worsened in recent weeks with the leak of a UN report on the flotilla. The report had been pushed by the Americans, who sought to use it as a vehicle for mending Ankara’s relationship with Tel Aviv.

Significantly, it was to have been published after the Israelis apologised for the deaths of eight of the nine civilians (Obama has not asked Netanyahu to apologise for killing the American teenager).

Absent the apology, however, the report appeared to absolve Israel of its responsibility for the deaths, even going so far as to justify its illegal maritime siege of the Gaza Strip. The Turks reacted angrily and instructed the Israeli ambassador to return to Tel Aviv. The Israeli diplomatic mission was formally downgraded, and Turkey suspended all military ties between the two countries. Ankara also announced that Turkish naval vessels would accompany the next humanitarian mission to Gaza. The move is a direct challenge to de facto Israeli control of the Eastern Mediterranean.

Tel Aviv’s serial miscalculations vis-a-vis Ankara can be attributed to a myopic analytical scope.

The Israelis failed to successfully interpret macro-level developments in Europe and their impact on Turkey’s regional alignment; the advantages of joining the European Union have steadily declined as the financial crisis has grown more severe.

Simultaneously, the prospect of playing a regional leadership role has grown to outweigh the bit-player role Europe seemed to offer.

NATO, of which Turkey is a member, has decreased in strength and influence, permitting the Turkish leadership to exercise greater national autonomy.

It is understandable, then, that the Israelis have reacted to an insistent Turkey with bewilderment. Historically, US influence in both Ankara and Cairo insulated the Israelis from the consequences of their boastful and bellicose self-regard. Today, however, hegemonic decline means that for the first time in decades Washington cannot rescue Israel’s leaders from their own bad decisions.

That reality continues to go unrecognised in Israel, where the leadership persists in making bad decisions.

Last week, for instance, Israeli Major General Eyal Eisenberg threatened the region with “all-out total war” and the “possibility of weapons of mass destruction being used” (Israel is the only country in the region with nuclear armaments). More recently, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman suggested that Israel ought to arm and support PKK terrorists in Turkey.

Meanwhile, the Palestinians are taking action on their own behalf.

The Palestinian observer delegation at the United Nations formally submitted its bid for statehood this week – a move that has long been anticipated by observers.

The Americans, who still enjoy defending Israeli belligerence, have promised a veto. Despite that, the vote will result in greater Israeli isolation internationally due to widespread recognition that apartheid is wrong.

Most indications suggest that Israel’s increased global isolation will continue apace.

The new Egyptian leadership – no matter who it is comprised of – will continue to object to Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians.

An increasingly assertive Turkey will not be mollified by American entreaties and will continue to apply pressure on behalf of the Palestinians, who will pursue their right to freedom through international forums.

Indeed, the only way for Israel to gain acceptance in the broader Middle East is by ending the occupation. But that is a decision the Israelis don’t appear ready to make.

UNVEILING THE MYSTERY OF THE PRE-MILLENNIAL RAPTURE

the Prophets wrote about, but whose writings were to be made clearer to later generations. Isaiah wrote about the mystery using terms which we, having a completed New Testament, can now comprehend more fully.

[18] And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

While the nations on earth are angry because of the seven vials of wrath that are being poured out following the blowing of the seventh trumpet, the time of the dead, who have suddenly been resurrected for judgment before Christ, occurs in this heavenly scene of Revelation 11:18. While the saved are being judged for rewards in heaven, God’s seven vials of wrath are destroying those who are responsible for the destruction of morality on the earth. However you interpret this scripture it paints a heavenly scene where the resurrected dead are being judged for rewards in heaven, and it follows the blowing of the 7th trumpet. It has to be what Paul outlined in II Corinthians as describing Christ judging all the saved after the rapture.

II Corinthians 5:2,3,10 – For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: [3] If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

[10] For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

In Revelation 9:13 we read that the sixth trumpet has sounded, so we know that the next trumpet to sound will be the seventh in a series of seven.

Revelation 9:13 – And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,

In the first verse of the following chapter we are introduced to a mighty angel from heaven with tremendous authority from heaven. He is an archangel and may well be the seventh angel who blows the final trumpet in a series of seven.

Revelation 10:1 – And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

He has direct authority from God to speak for Him, and to give an oath in his name. He then tells the reader that the time of the earthly church age of the Gentiles is about to end.

Revelation 10:5,6 – And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, [6] And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

I cannot tell for sure in the Greek of verse seven whether he is referring to himself, or is merely telling us what will happen when the seventh angel blows his trumpet. But, in either case, in this verse we are definitely informed that:

(1) The seventh angel h

as a voice.

(2) The seventh angel will one day blow his trumpet.

When he blows it the mystery, surrounding the rapture of the saved, will be finished, as it was foretold by the Old and New Testament prophets.

Revelation10:7 – But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

I believe the voice of the archangel and the trump that is blown in II Thessalonians 4:16 is the same as found in Revelation 10:7 and 11:15.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 – For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Revelation 11:15 – And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

I also believe that the last trump of I Corinthians 15:52 is the last in a series of seven that is sounded in Revelation 11:15.

I Corinthians 15:52 – In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

And I am convinced that the dead in this verse are the dead in Christ who are resurrected to stand before Christ’s judgment seat in heaven to be judged for rewards and/or the lack of them.

Revelation 11:18 – And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

I do not anticipate going through the vials of God’s wrath following the blowing of the seventh trumpet.

Revelation 16:1 – And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.

I Thessalonians 5:9 – For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

For a long time I kept silent on what I believed about the rapture, and went merrily around the world presenting lectures on the geological upheavals the Bible indicated would occur during the last 3 and ½ years of the Tribulation Period, and the Five Signs of His Coming,

and The Antichrist, and From Now to Armageddon. It was possible for me to do this series of four different lectures without telling people what I really believed about the rapture and Daniel’s 70 Weeks.

As long as I did this I could present what I believed would happen during the last 3 and ½ years of the Tribulation Period, the signs that would precede it, and what would happen during the blowing of the first six trumpets. In other words, I could present what I was convinced God’s children would soon experience. I was prince charming to many attending the lectures. I truly believe I did was I was supposed to do. I did not lie to people. I just did not address directly in DETAIL the rapture or Daniel’s 70 Weeks. Well, old prince charming has done what he was supposed to do and, since passing age 67 is now completing age 79, doing what he believes he is supposed to finish.

In so doing he has been changed from a fast moving young prince into an old frog in a punch bowl. I know that I must face Christ at His judgment seat, and I would much rather appear there as an old frog who told God’s people what he knew in his heart was going to happen to them, rather than showing up as a charming young prince who only told them what they wanted to hear.

While Egypt and Israel acted to cool the crisis in relations sparked by last Friday’s mob attack on the Israeli embassy, Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan threatened another inflammatory speech against Israel during his Monday visit, Sept. 12 – this one from Tahrir Square in a bid to buy the popularity of the Arab street.

Jerusalem and Washington are concerned that it will have the effect of stirring up anti-Israel riots in Egypt and Jordan, Israel’ second peace partner, as well as encouraging the Palestinian terrorist Jihad Islami lurking in Sinai to proceed with its threatened cross-border attack.

Sunday, Sept. 11, the military rulers of Egypt instructed the local media to tone down their coverage of the mob attack on the Israeli embassy Friday night. They announced that 130 rioters would be put on trial. Israel too made every effort to play the episode down by focusing attention on the “courageous stand” taken by the six security guards “only a door away from death” in order to distract attention from the absence of an Israeli ambassador in Cairo after thirty years of normal relations.

DEBKAfile’s sources report that while Israel and Egyptian report efforts to reinstate the envoy soon, it will be some time before the next Israeli ambassador Yakov Amitai takes up his post. First, Israel will have to build a fortified embassy building like US and British premises in Cairo and other world capitals, for which the necessary Egyptian permission cannot be taken for granted.

Political sources in Washington and Jerusalem are profoundly concerned by four fraught developments unfolding this week – all capable of sending Israel’s ties with Egypt and Turkey into another perilous tailspin:

1. The Turkish prime minister’s Tahrir Square speech Monday afternoon.

His anti-Israel campaign has drawn from the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood an enthusiastic welcome and the promise of a mass turnout. The MB declared the mob attack on the Israeli embassy a legitimate protest operation in defiance of the Egyptian government’s position.

Above all, Erdogan will not stand for the Arab League foreign ministers’ session in Cairo on the same day – to approve the Palestinian bid for UN membership, tealing the thunder of his official visit to Egypt. Concern about the coming speech was heightened when the full, unedited text of the Turkish prime minster’s interview to the Arabic television station Al Jazeera Thursday, Sept 8 reached Washington and Jerualme and was compared with the adulterated version circulated by Ankara and TV channel.

It reveals that Erdogan actually called Israel’s interception of the Mavi Marmora in May 2010 (during which nine armed activists were killed) an Israeli casus belli for Turkey and extended his threat of aggression to the off shore oil and gas wells of Israel and Cyprus.

According the original text of the speech, Erdogan declared that Turkey will never accept the accord Israel and Cyprus concluded last year marking out their maritime zones for exploration. What Israel is doing, he said “will not happen” – a phrase he repeated with great determination.

The adulterated version released by Erdogan’s office Friday, Sept.

9, the day after the interview read: “As long as Israel does not interfere in the freedom of navigation, we do not plan on sending any warships to escort humanitarian aid ships.”

This is termed by DEBKAfile’s sources no more than a play on words leaving the first threat to have Turkish warships escort aid vessels to the Gaza Strip and visit the eastern Mediterranean fully in place. The potential for a Turkish-Israeli clash at sea appears to be low but remains credible.

He knows Israel is determined not to lift the naval blockade on the Gaza Strip – certainly not after the UN pronounced it legal and necessary. He also knows therefore that his warships cannot avoid running into the Israeli Navy. His purpose remains provocative, because Turkey is free to consign unlimited humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip through Egypt – not to mention Israel.

DEBKAfile’s sources disclose that this “amended” statement was produced in response to heavy pressure from NATO leaders to quit his belligerent stance against Israel.

2. The Turkish prime minister said Sunday that his campaign against Israel has five stages of which only two have been implemented.

Word has reached Jerusalem that Erdogan is preparing more sanctions against Israel to be enforced in days. They include cutting off diplomatic ties, a ban on Turkish trade with the Jewish state and acquitting Turkish businesses and industrialists of their contractual obligations to Israel firms, including debts totaling $400 million.

3. Israel’s government and military leaders worry that the Palestinian Jihad Islami terrorists lurking in Sinai for the past three weeks will choose this moment to strike – whether to kidnap Israelis still vacationing on its beaches or a cross-border attack in Israel. The gunmen have met no Egyptian military interference and they will no doubt be encouraged to take advantage of the incendiary climate generated by the Turkish prime minister and Cairo mob’s sacking of the Israeli embassy.

The Palestinian group’s Iranian and Hizballah sponsors will not miss the chance of further undermining Israeli security. Sunday night saw the first indications of trouble when an Israeli border patrol north of Eilat came under fire from Egyptian Sinai. No one was hurt but Israeli troops guarding that precarious border are more on their toes now than ever.

4. The Muslim Brothers, Hamas and other radical Palestinian organizations in Jordan have used Facebook to rally “a million-strong march” on the Israeli embassy in the Jordanian capital of Amman for Thursday evening, Sept. 15, to push for the expulsion of Israeli Ambassador Danny Nevo.

5. Jordan security forces are on alert to prevent the Israeli embassy sacking in Cairo from being repeated in Amman.

Israel airlifted its ambassador home and sought U.S. intervention with Egypt to help secure its embassy in Cairo on Saturday, hours after thousands of Egyptian protesters besieged the building. They knocked down a 12-foot concrete wall that had been built last week to protect the embassy, which is near the top floor of a 21-story residential building.

Irsraeli officials described tense hours Friday night during which Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke by phone with President Obama to seek help in protecting the embassy and extricating six Israeli security guards trapped inside when a mob broke through an outer door into the public reception and consular affairs area.

Netanyahu was also in contact with the Egyptian chief of intelligence, Gen. Murad Muwafi, a member of the ruling military council. “The rioters were literally a door away” from the security guards, said one Israeli official. “There was very real concern for their safety and their lives.”

After tear gas was used to disperse the protesters, the Israeli guards were eventually extricated by Egyptian commandos and escorted to the airport, where they flew back to Israel on an Israeli air force plane. An Israeli official said “we know” that American intervention with the Egyptian authorities helped “stabilize the situation and get our people out.” Diplomats in Cairo voiced concern, wondering whether their own embassies were secure. Egyptian commandos helped rescue six guards inside the Israeli embassy in Cairo early Saturday morning, after dozens of people among thousands of protestors stormed

the building. The crowd had smashed through a newly-erected security wall and was separated from the Israelis by one metal door.

The Muslim Brotherhood, Egypt’s 80-year-old Islamist society which is poised to gain considerable power in upcoming elections, blamed Israel for the violence and breach of sovereign diplomatic ground.

“The slowness and negligence about the rights of our martyr soldiers killed by the Zionists at the border, the not adopting a decisive stand, wavering on the withdrawal of the Egyptian Ambassador, and the Zionist arrogance in refusing to even apologize, as well as the building of a big concrete wall to protect the Embassy were most important reasons that led to the explosion of national sentiment in the hearts of the Egyptians,” a statement on the Brotherhood’s website said. “The remedy for that lies in the authority, whether the interim authority now or the coming civil authority, responding to the will of the people and respecting their dignity.”

Israel did apologize for the deaths of six Egyptian soldiers killed after being caught in the crossfire last month after terrorists fled from a coordinated attack near Eilat in southern Israel. Gaza-based terrorists were blamed for the attack, which killed eight Israelis, but an investigation also found at least three Egyptians were involved. Egyptian press outlets accused Israel of being behind the attacks, the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) reported.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed concern over the attack on his country’s embassy, but tried to strike a calmer tone. In a speech, he thanked the United States for helping urge the Egyptian army to intervene, and he thanked the commandos

for rescuing the Israeli citizens.

“The Middle East is now undergoing a political earthquake of historic proportions,” he said. “…In the face of this historic turmoil we must act coolly and with responsibility.” It is in Egypt and Israel’s interests to preserve their peace treaty, he added, calling again for direct negotiations with the Palestinians.

“Regarding this negotiation, I believe that many people today in our nation and around the world who see what is happening in our area will understand our justified stance in defending our security interests in any future agreement.”
A small group of protestors returned to the embassy Saturday, the Brotherhood website reported.

“Down, down Israel” and “Down with the State of pigs” were among the crowd’s chants.

It was an agreement with the Zionists, and the majority of the Egyptian population is religious, and does not believe the State of Israel has the right to exist.” “Anwar Sadat, who was a dictator, decided to act against the will of his people when he signed the peace treaty, and was assassinated as a result,” Kedar said.

Arab Spring Increases Uncertainty for Israel

Israeli leaders are struggling to navigate a Middle East in which its strategic pillar of the last few decades – a three-way axis with U.S.-allied Muslim powers – has crumbled, a day after rescuing its embassy staff from a mob in Cairo. The regional crisis reignited a debate in Israel over whether a peace push with the Palestinians would ease Israel’s problems. But the prevailing opinion in the U.S. government seems to view Israel as more vulnerable and unable to influence the region.

“The main effect of what used to be called the Arab Spring is to introduce a much higher degree of uncertainty in how Israel looks at the region,” said Dore Gold, a former ambassador to the UN under Netanyahu.

A Summary Up Through Event 6

Event 1 – Israel is attacked 1335 days before the end of the Tribulation Period

Event 2 – Some 30 days later the two witnesses begin their testimony in Israel when Jerusalem falls.

Event 3 – Some 45 days later the IDF is driven south to Beersheba and the United Nations brokers a truce or hudna is agreed to by Islam and Israel.

Event 4 – Israel remains surrounded in the Negev Wilderness

for some 1260 days after the truce agreement.

Event 5 – Some 45 days before the end of the Age of the Gentiles the two witnesses will be killed by the Antichrist after having testified for 42 months (1260 days). The Antichrist will declare himself to be God on the Temple Mount – This is the abomination “that maketh desolate.”

Event 6 – Three and one half days later three events occur in rapid succession.

They all three occur on the same day. I call them boom, boom, boom.

Boom 1 – The two witnesses ascend up to heaven through the clouds.

Boom 2 – A great earthquake occurs in the same hour the two witnesses depart.

Boom 3 – The last trump (7th) Trump sounds and all the saved are caught up. Revelation 11:7,8 – And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. [8] And their dead

bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

The Jerusalem Temple was destroyed 25 to 30 years before Revelation was written. The estimates as to when John wrote the Book of Revelation range from 95 to 100 AD. The temple was destroyed in 70 AD just as Jesus had prophesied some 40 years earlier. The physical sacrifices continued to be offered until approximately 70 AD, but they were no longer spiritually accepted by God after the veil of the temple was ripped from top to bottom while Christ was one the Cross.

He declared it would be rendered spiritually desolate when Israel made its final rejection of him, thereafter to remain in that condition until they saw him at his Second Advent.

No sacrifices from Israel have been spiritually acceptable to God since the Temple, the house of God, was made spiritual desolate by His Son.

Matthew 23:37,39 – O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! [38] Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. [39] For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Matthew 27:50,51 – Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. [51] And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Jesus will return at His Second Advent, the Temple of Ezekiel will be built, and He will rule from Jerusalem over all the earth.

Matthew 24:30 – And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Ezekiel 43:1-5 – Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east: [2] And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. [3] And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.

[4] And the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. [5] So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house.

Zechariah 14:8,9 – And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and

in winter shall it be. [9] And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

After the temple was destroyed in 70 AD, the disciples compared it to being judged like Sodom and Gomorra for its sin of rejecting its Messiah, hence John’s reference to Jerusalem as being as Sodom and Gomorrah.

Revelation 11:9 – And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

It would seem that in the case of Lazarus, Jesus let him remain in the grave for four days before He resurrected him, because He wanted no doubt in the minds of those mourning that Lazarus was stone cold dead. I admit that is speculation on my part, as is my opinion that God left the two witnesses on view for three and one half days so ALL could see them and no doubt would later say they were

not really dead.

Revelation 11:10 – And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

It is still common cultural practice among Middle East leaders, even those who do not particularly like each other, to send gifts to one another on their birthdays, some festive occasion or religious holiday, or some political victory over an adversary.

I have no doubt this will be declared a national Islamic holiday for all Muslim states on this planet, for these two witnesses will have been tormenting the Islamic toes and horns of Antichrist for almost 42 months by the power of God.

There are three woes in the book of Revelation.

The first begins with the sounding of the fifth trumpet, the second with the sounding of the sixth trumpet, and the last on the sounding of the seventh trumpet.

Revelation 11:10-12 – And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. [11] And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

[12] And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

The great gathering of joy suddenly ends in fear as many observe the two witnesses being resurrected from the dead. I suspect the whole world will see their bodies on the Temple Mound lying stone cold dead for more than three and one half days.

They will have every reason to be frozen in fear for the resurrection precedes a great earthquake in the city of Jerusalem, which occurs in the SAME hour the two witnesses are resurrected and then ascend into heaven.

The great earthquake concludes the second woe of God, which began with the destruction of one-third of all mankind, finally ending with a tenth part of the city of Jerusalem falling down to the east of the line extending from Geba to Rimmon. The part of the city of Jerusalem to the west of the line will be listed up during the earthquake, and inhabited during Messiah’s reign.

Revelation 9:12-15 – One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. [13] And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, [14] Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. [15] And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year,

for to slay the third part of men.

Zechariah 14:10 – All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.

Revelation 11:13,14 – And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. [14] The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

The surviving remnant that gives glory to the God of heaven represents the 144,000 sealed Jews of Revelation 7:4.

Revelation 7:4 – And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

They are the remnant of the Seed of Genesis 3:15, who is also the Seed of the Woman in Revelation 12:17 in the Negev Wilderness.

Genesis 3:15 – And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Revelation 12:5 – And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Revelation 12:17 – And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

The woman is the nation of Israel, the woman’s Seed is the Christ Child in 12:5, the 144,000 are the remnant of the Seed. They keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of the Seed, Jesus Christ.

In Event 7 we will cover Boom 3, which is the catching out of the saved, as well as their judgment at Christ heavenly judgment seat after they are caught out.
