The following Scriptures briefly weave a partial picture of the events associated with the “One Who Is To Come,” and I am convinced his coming is not a far distant event.

II Thessalonians 2:8,9 – And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: [9] Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Revelation 19:20 – And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image.

Israel Prefers the End of the Assad Regime to Its Continuance

Michael Oren

A recent Journal article asserts that Israel has expressed fears of instability in Syria if leader Bashar al-Assad is overthrown. Israel has expressed no such concerns. Allied with Iran, Assad has helped supply 55,000 rockets to Hizbullah and 10,000 to Hamas, very likely established a clandestine nuclear arms program, and profoundly destabilized the region.

Report: Armed Clashes between Protesters and Security Forces in Syria

Liz Sly

Syria’s government asserted Monday that 120 soldiers had been killed by armed protesters in the northern town of Jisr al-Shughour, amid indications that what began as a peaceful protest movement is turning into an armed rebellion in at least some parts of the country. Syrian activists confirmed that some residents had taken up arms to defend themselves. A human rights activist said people told him that a swath of villages around Jisr al-Shughour is now outside government control.

“We do not deny shooting back,” said a witness.

The U.S. said on Monday that Syria was “clearly” behind lethal confrontations between Israeli troops and Palestinian protesters along the once-quiet ceasefire line between the two countries. “This is clearly an attempt by Syria to incite these kinds of protests,” State Department spokesman Mark Toner said, saying Damascus hoped to divert attention from its own internal problems.

Yet more Arab lives were sacrificed over the weekend for the cause of keeping Bashar al Assad and his family in power. Hundreds of Syrian Palestinians and their supporters arrived at the border with Israel in buses on Sunday. They may well have been organized by the regime or at the very least encouraged. They marched towards the border despite strenuous warnings from Israeli soldiers. Some were killed by Israeli gunfire, others

ARCHIVE PROPHECY UPDATE NUMBER 4

January 2001

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF ISRAEL’S FIRST NUCLEAR WEAPONS AS I REMEMBER IT 30 YEARS AFTER I RETIRED FROM NSA

In future updates, Lord willing, I will be dealing with the use, or non-use, of nuclear weapons during the tribulation period. So, in this update, I will give a brief history of nuclear weapon development by Israel. Israel, in return for her cooperation with France in the 1956 Suez Campaign against Egypt, asked France for a nuclear reactor. The U.S. was opposed to the acquisition, but France, as she usually does, ignored U.S. protests.

In 1957 the French, assisted by Israel, began to build an atomic reactor at Dimona in the Negev Wilderness. Israel assured both the U.S. and France she would only use the reactor for the peaceful commercial needs of her people. Of course, all three nations knew full well she would use it to produce an atomic bomb. By 1960 the French finished work on a 24-megawatt reactor at Dimona. In order to develop an atomic bomb, the power must be increased to 120 plus megawatts. So, immediately after the French left, Israel began the process necessary to increase the reactor’s power. They eventually got it to produce 150 megawatts. In 1964 they completed their first atomic bomb.

I will not discuss or reveal the what, when, where, and how Israel tested her atomic weaponry. In May of 1967 high-level Egyptian over flights of Dimona made Israel very nervous.

250 levaquin mg

They were afraid of an Arab air strike against Dimona from three directions. That is the reason for the pre-emptive strikes in June of 1967, when the famous Six Day War began and ended. What is very significant about this is the fact that Israel had a few atomic bombs in position for use, but did not use them.

diflucan cost

In 1968 about 200 tons of crude uranium (yellowcake) was smuggled into Israel off a Liberian tanker operating from a German port. In 1969 Israel used this material to develop a hydrogen bomb.

Perhaps the most significant thing about all this involves Israel’s non-use of her nuclear weaponry in the 1973 Yom Kippur War. Her enemies made initial quick gains into her territory on all fronts, yet Israel did not use her numerous nuclear weapons.

20 buy generic mg nexium

Israel now has hundreds of nuclear warheads. She also has numerous chemical and biological warheads. Many of these nuclear, chemical, and biological warheads which are, or can be, mounted on about 200 to 300 Jericho Missiles in the Negev.

Syria, Egypt, and Jordan,

0 cialis comment currently reply

and by now probably Iran and Iraq, are very much aware of these missiles and warheads. Spy satellites, launched out of Plesesk and Turatam in the former Soviet Union, watched Israel’s development of what has previously been described. The Soviet’s shared their intelligence with Syria, Egypt, and Jordan before the 1973 Yom Kippur War. The long and short of all this points to a conclusion that I firmly believe. Israel will not launch nuclear, biological, or chemical warheads against the Arab nations unless they first launch them against her.

ARCHIVE PROPHECY UPDATE NUMBER 5

February, 2001

Every nation has a war contingency plan. And, the smaller

doxycycline cat

the country, the more imperative is the requirement for a detailed war contingency evacuation plan. Israel began to formulate, plan, and build her evacuation area in the early fifties. She chose the only reasonable zone, the Negev wilderness. The Negev comprises more than one-third of the total land area of Israel, beginning just north of Beersheba, and extending all the way southward to the Gulf of Aqaba. Why was the Negev the only reasonable area

nolvadex tablets

? From the historical prospective, the majority of Israel’s major conquerors have come down from the north. Even Nebuchadnezzar, whose great empire began to the east of Israel in Babylonia, first went northwest through southern Syria to eventually attack Israel from the north.

Once Israel had signed a peace treaty with Egypt, and then with Jordan, it became evident to her political and military leaders, that they had been correct in selecting the Negev. At present, it appears very unlikely that an attack will be made against Israel from any zone other than the Syria-Lebanon area. Some minister, no one knows who, during the early part of the last century, visited Petra in Jordan, and formed an erroneous opinion, which has become very popular among many teachers of prophecy. Whoever he was, his military training was sadly lacking, for he looked Petra over, and decided it would make a great defensive position for Israel to occupy, that is, if she ever had to flee her homeland. As a graduate of a military academy, and a retiree from the USAF-NSA, I can assure you, Petra is the worst possible place to evacuate the survivors of a successful Arab attack against Israel. I doubt if the one who first advanced this idea actually walked all the way through Petra’s narrow northern entrance and then continued to walk out on the vast open plain to the southwest. Petra may have been a great place to defend in biblical times with the weaponry of those days, but it would be impossible to defend today.

But there are other compelling reasons why Israel would never flee to Petra. There are no natural water sources in that area, and water collection by its ingenious ancient inhabitants from desert thunderstorms was never able to support a population of more than 20,000. And food production in the soil horizons of this area could never support the evacuation of one-third of Israel’s population. It is also a certainty that the modern day occupants of Jordan would not offer to help Israel escape the Antichrist. But the belief that Israel will flee to Petra has become so popularized by many prominent ministers, it makes it very difficult to dissuade most followers of prophetic events. However, the fact that Israel has spent billions and billions of dollars turning the Negev into the most fortified, best camouflaged, zone on the earth, gives me the assurance that this is the place the woman Israel, who is described as going into the wilderness in the 12th Chapter of Revelation, will soon end up for the last three and one-half years of the tribulation period. In the next prophetic update, Lord willing, I will discuss the military developments that turned the Negev into the best prepared evacuation zone in the world.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

ARCHIVE PROPHECY UPDATE NUMBER 6

February, 2001

Prophecy Update Number 5 ended by mentioning the area to which Israel will flee for safety during the later portion of the tribulation period. In Revelation 12:6 we find this flight described in graphic detail: “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.” Prophetic years in scripture are based on a year of 360 days, hence this represents a period of three and one-half years. So Israel will be kept trapped in the Negev wilderness for the last 3 and ½ years of the tribulation period.

Israel has spent billions and billions of dollars preparing the Negev for the possibility of such an evacuation of her population in the in the event of a sudden attack from the north. The Negev has been the central focus of her war contingency plan from the beginning. Her God put this thinking in the minds of her political and military leaders in the late forties, and active preparation of the area began in the early fifties. Today, the Negev is the most cleverly camouflaged zone on the surface of the earth, and unless sky satellites had watched it being prepared, one would not suspect that numerous military installations were implanted in it. Even knowing where certain defense mechanisms were originally placed, it is now extremely difficult to spot them, even driving by them at ground level. Thousands of tourists pass through the Negev and admire the beauty of her terrain from her roads, but her military capabilities are cleverly camouflaged on the surface, hidden beneath her, and concealed inside her mountains.

Active preparation of the Negev began in the early fifties.

map 2 of phone lookup

After the Six Day War of June, 1967, Israel poured her finances and efforts into the creation of a hidden fortress in the Negev wilderness. The Yom Kippur War of 1973 was followed by Israel quadrupling her military forces by 1980, and the bulk of this increase was placed in the vast Sinai. The peace treaty between Israel and Egypt led to the evacuation of this increase in men and equipment from the Sinai into the much smaller Negev. This turned the already heavily fortified Negev into an impenetrable fortress. By 1983 the Sinai IDF and equipment had been withdrawn into the Negev.

female viagra

The IDF packed up about 80 thousand tons of military equipment, same 3800 military vehicles, and 3 airfields, and moved it into the Negev. The Negev is about 20 percent the size of the Sinai. By 1988 about 40 new military camps had been set up in the Negev.

By 1990 the Negev had been topographically transformed, at a fantastic expense, into an area no enemy would dare to attempt to penetrate. When Syria, assisted by troops from Iraq and Iran, secretly and very slowly smuggled in across her southern and western borders, attacks Israel from the north, then Israel will get to use her Negev wilderness for about 3 and ½ years. These three nations, because of the sharing of satellite information received from the Russians about the Negev, know all about the military strength there and, because of this, will stop their southward push into Israel just north of Beersheva. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will be able to hold the Negev, and the woman Israel will stay there for the last 3 and ½ years of the tribulation period.

I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Arava Power launches Israel’s first solar field

By SHARON UDASIN

06/05/2011 19:50

$2 billion plans cover the majority of Arava kibbutzim, one-third of Negev kibbutzim and five Beduin sites.

Arava Power Company launched Israel’s first solar field on Sunday evening – World Environment Day – and meanwhile announced a pipeline of over 400 megawatts worth of solar development in Israel’s South.

“Israel is in last place among industrial countries in solar energy development even though we should be leading the pack,” company co-founder and CEO Yosef Abramowitz told The Jerusalem Post, during an exclusive tour of the field a week prior to the launch. “At less than one percent [renewables], we are betraying our own energy security.”

In front of ministers, Knesset members and industry colleagues and amid fireworks and music, Arava Power launched its mediumsized, 4.95-megawatt field at Kibbutz Ketura in the Arava Desert, which will begin providing electricity to three kibbutzim – Ketura, Lotan and Grofit, according to Abramowitz. Having spent a pre-college year-course at Ketura in the 1980s, Abramowitz returned there after making aliya from Massachusetts about five years ago and founded the company with fellow visionaries David Rosenblatt and Ed Hofland. The end result – after five years of back-andforth with 24 government offices – is an 80-duman, 18,500-panel field with a sundial mezuzah at its entrance gate.

“This is a down payment on the solar future of the State of Israel,” Abramowitz said that day.

“It’s a great feeling,” added co-founder Hofland, a resident of the Kibbutz. “Yosef came to my office about five years and suggested that we start this business, and David was there also – so the three of us started the business. I knew it wasn’t going to take one year – Yossi said that within one year we are going to build a field. And it told him it was going to take a lot longer than that. It was closer to five years now. And here it is.”

To Abramowitz, the five-year wait period was a “struggle” with various government offices for something “that should be normative to the country.

“It’s incredibly satisfying to reach this point and it is with a sense of mixed blessing that we’re here today because on the one hand we’re about to dedicate Israel’s first commercial solar field, and yet still we are struggling with the government in terms of having certainty in the entire solar industry,” he said.

In addition to launching the current medium-sized field at Sunday night’s ceremony, the company announced its new pipeline of over 400 megawatts worth of around 45 projects, which will includes solar apparatuses ranging from rooftop structures to large fields, mostly at locations in the South, Abramowitz told the Post.

The whole undertaking will amount to about $2 billion worth of investments and involves the majority of Arava kibbutzim, one-third of Negev kibbutzim and five Beduin solar sites, he explained.

“Every one of these is signed and sealed and we’re in the process of delivering,” Abramowitz said. “This will supply thousands of green jobs.”

Of the approximately 45 projects in the pipeline, 14 fields are currently ready to begin construction from a statutory perspective, which includes land permissions, according to Abramowitz.

“All we’re waiting and waiting and waiting for is the license to be approved.

how do antibiotics affect birth control pills

And then we can build very quickly,” he said, noting that the Ketura Sun field was built in only six months.

Both Arava Power and the other companies are vying for spots in Israel’s limited solar industry, which has strict caps on the amount of electricity production currently permitted, as well as gridlines that need to be upgraded, Abramowitz explained.

“There’s competition on the gridlines, so we choose our fields very carefully,” Abramowitz said, calling the process a “race” for spots on the gridline.

Meanwhile, there are 1,200 megawatts worth of applications for medium-sized fields currently, yet the government has currently set a nationwide cap of 300 megawatts for medium fields, according to Abramowitz. Large-scale fields, like the 40-megawatt field Arava Power is planning to erect on Ketura, across the street from the current field, have yet to receive the approval of the Finance Ministry.

Another problem, according to Abramowitz, is the “bottleneck at the Public Utility Authority, the regulator,” which currently has over 600 license applications for solar projects but is only approving between 16-20 each month.

“All the companies that have applied for licenses are losing a tremendous amount of money today, and some of them are in danger of going out of business because the regulator takes a year for what is supposed to be a 60- day process,” he said.

“It’s essentially a $20 billion market between now and 2020, and we’re announcing a $2 billion jumpstart,” Abramowitz added. “And the Treasury wants to freeze, block and cut? They’ve got to be kidding – where is the prime minister?”

Arab World: The sectarian logic of events in Syria

By JONATHAN SPYER

06/03/2011 17:01

The fall of the Assad regime would be a disaster for both Hezbollah and Iran.

Hezbollah has been caught off balance by the uprising in Syria. Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah’s recent words of solidarity with his embattled ally in Damascus led to the burning of the Lebanese Shi’a Islamist leader’s image by angry Syrian crowds during last Friday’s demonstrations.

The movement’s stance on Syria reveals a basic contradiction between Hezbollah’s practical interests and the image it likes to project of itself.

This contradiction in turn may reveal the inherent limitations of the Iranian, Shi’ite-led “resistance bloc” in the overwhelmingly Sunni Arabic-speaking world.

On a practical level, it is not difficult to see why the fall of the Assad regime would be a disaster for both Hezbollah and its Iranian patron.

Syria is the secure conduit through which Tehran is able to arm its Lebanese proxy on the Mediterranean.

Significant elements of Hezbollah’s armory are stored safely under Assad’s care. The M-600s and Fateh-110 missiles, which might provoke an early Israeli strike if deployed in Lebanon, wait in secure facilities across the border for the appropriate moment.

But Syria is much more than a storehouse for Hezbollah.

after clomid

Since the accession of Bashar Assad, the relationship between the two has become increasingly symbiotic. Hezbollah was the instrument whereby Syria was able to regain influence in Lebanon following its inglorious retreat in 2005.

phone book

Syria provided a vital logistic hinterland for Hezbollah during the 2006 war.

There are suspicions that the two may have cooperated in the murder of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri.

So the relationship is strategic, grounded in a variety of shared interests.

Neither party is entirely a client or a senior partner of the other. Rather, the patron of the two is Iran. Nasrallah’s expressions of support for Assad derive from the same impulse as the large-scale practical support currently being offered to Syria by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps. These are members of an alliance, uniting in the defense of a member of the team currently in trouble.

No proof has emerged to confirm the rumors of Hezbollah fighters engaged on the ground in Syria.

And it is difficult to see what they could achieve that Assad’s own men could not. The Syrian leader is not short of gunmen.

blinklist com levitrai

But the “moral support” that Hezbollah has offered Syria serves to lay bare the emptiness of Nasrallah’s oft-stated claim to represent the broad, popular will of the Arabs.

Both Assad and Nasrallah use the language of “resistance,” yet the two are today united in resistance to the plainly expressed will of the Syrian people.

There is a deeper logic at work here than simply the timeless spectacle of dictatorial regimes and movements having the emptiness of their rhetoric made apparent. The Iran-led bloc may have presented itself as the voice of regional authenticity and resistance.

But if one looks at its component parts, it rapidly becomes apparent that this was and is largely an alliance of Shi’ite (or at least non-Sunni) Arab forces behind a large, non-Arab Shi’ite state.

The core members of the alliance are Iran, the Shi’ite Hezbollah, the Alawite-dominated Assad regime, and the Shi’ite movement of Muqtada al- Sadr in Iraq.

Iran has sought to make gains from the current ferment in the Arab world. But its arena of activity has been limited mainly to areas of majority- Shi’ite population, such as Bahrain. Outside the narrow bands of Shi’ite Arab communities, there is a built-in suspicion of the Iranians.

The Iranian war on Israel is intended to disprove these suspicions, and this has seen some success. But the kudos gained by Shi’ite elements for fighting Israel do not seem to be easily transferable to other areas.

The single major exception to the largely Shi’ite complexion of the Iran-led bloc was and is Hamas. The Hamas enclave in Gaza was maintained by Iranian money and weaponry. But one of the most noteworthy fallout events from the fall of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt has been Hamas’s apparent attempt to reorient away from the Iran-Syria-Hezbollah axis, and back toward Sunni Arab Egypt.

The (Sunni) Emirate of Qatar, meanwhile, which has flirted with the resistance axis in the past years,

can terramycin

has directed its hugely influential Al Jazeera network firmly against the Syrian regime in recent weeks. Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s Turkey, too, has grown critical of Assad and is hosting gatherings of the Syrian opposition.

Syria, in short, is hemorrhaging Sunni friends.

Its Shi’ite ones, by contrast, have fewer options and are staying loyal.

So Hezbollah’s and Iran’s cleaving toward their Syrian ally has the look of a non-Sunni alliance closing ranks to defend itself against a ferment in the Sunni Arab world.

Lebanese analyst Michael Young has noted a growing view that the Syrian regime is engaged in the ethnic cleansing of Syrian Sunnis from the town of Tal Kalakh, near the border with Lebanon.

Tal Kalakh is a Sunni enclave in a largely Alawite area.

Whether the regime’s motivations are indeed sectarian is almost immaterial. The fact that they are widely believed to be so lays bare the sectarian logic at work.

From Israel’s point of view, the built-in limitations of the Shi’ite-led resistance bloc are good news. The lessgood news is that rival centers of anti-Western and anti-Israel Sunni power are emerging in the region.

Hamas’s rebuilding of ties with Egypt, after all, is based on the rapidly deteriorating relations between Cairo and Jerusalem. The Sunni Islamist AKP, meanwhile, looks set to win another term in office in Turkey.

Nor is the “Shi’a crescent” itself about to collapse. At the moment, its unrivaled capacity for brutality looks set to keep its Syrian client in its seat. But its claim to represent the forces of Arab “resistance” to the West and Israel has taken a heavy blow as a result of the turmoil in the Arab world. And meanwhile, a rival “Sunni crescent,” with a rival claim to this mantle, is in the process of being born.

The Muslim Brothrerhood Will One Day Take Over The Land Of Egypt!

June 7, 2011

http://www.tribulationperiod.com/

As I have stated on many occasions, I consider Caroline B. Glick to be one of the very best analysts in the Middle East. Her analysis of recent events in Egypt is the best I have read. The Muslim Brotherhood will take immediate control of the Government when Antichrist attacks, leaving the Egyptian Army alone to fight him at Suez.

Column One: The real Egyptian revolution

By CAROLINE B. GLICK

As Muslim Brotherhood gains more power, the IDF must expand its draft rolls and increase its force size by at least one division.

The coverage of recent events in Egypt is further proof that Western elites cannot see the forest for the trees. Over the past week, leading newspapers have devoted relatively in-depth coverage to the Egyptian military authorities’ repressive actions in subduing protesters in Tahrir Square in Cairo, particularly during their large protest last Friday.

That is, they have provided in-depth coverage of one spent force repressing another

spent force. Neither the military nor the protesters are calling the shots anymore in Egypt, if they ever were. That is the job of the Muslim Brotherhood.

The proximate cause of last Friday’s mass demonstration was what the so-called Twitter and Facebook revolutionaries consider the military’s slowness to respond to their demand for ousted president Hosni Mubarak’s he ad on

a platter. The military responded by announcing that Mubarak and his sons will go on trial for capital crimes on August 3.

Beyond bloodlust, the supposedly liberal young sweethearts of the Western media are demanding a cancellation of the results of the referendum held in March on the sequencing of elections and constitutional reform. Voting in that referendum was widely assessed as the freest vote in Egyptian history. Seventy-seven percent of the public voted to hold parliamentary and presidential elections in September and to appoint members of a constitutional assembly from among the elected members of the next parliament to prepare Egypt’s new constitution.

The protesters rightly assert that the early elections will pave the way for the Muslim Brotherhood’s takeover of Egypt, since the Brotherhood is the only well-organized political force in Egypt. But then, the liberals said they wanted popular rule.

The Facebook protesters demanded Mubarak’s immediate removal from power in January. They would not negotiate Mubarak’s offer to use the remainder of his final term to shepherd Egypt towards a quasi-democratic process that might have prevented the Brotherhood from taking over.

In their fantasy world – which they inhabit with Western intellectuals – the fates of nations are determined by the number of “likes” on your facebook page. And so, when they had the power to avert the democratic Islamist takeover of their country in January, they squandered it.

Now, when it is too late, they are trying to win through rioting what they failed to win at the ballot box, thus discrediting their protestations of liberal values.

Their new idea was spelled out last week at an EU-sponsored conference in Cairo. According to the Egyptian media, they hope to convince the military they protest against to stack the deck for the constitutional assembly in a way that prevents the Brotherhood from controlling the proceedings. As Hishan el-Bastawisy, a former appellate judge and presidential hopeful explained, “What we can push for now is that the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces has to put some guarantees of choosing the constituent assembly in the sense that it does not reflect the parliamentary majority.”

So much for Egypt’s liberal democrats.

AS FOR the military, its actions to date make clear that its commanders do not see themselves as guardians of secular rule in Egypt. Instead, they see themselves as engines for a transition from Mubarak’s authoritarian secularism to the Brotherhood’s populist Islamism.

Since forcing Mubarak to resign, the military junta has embraced Hamas, the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood.

They engineered the Palestinian unity government which will pave the way for Hamas’s victory in the Palestinian Authority’s legislative and presidential elections scheduled for the fall.

Then there is Sinai. Since the revolution, the military has allowed Sinai to become a major base not only for Hamas but for the global jihad. As Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu warned on Monday, Egyptian authorities are not asserting their sovereignty in Sinai and jihadists from Hamas, al-Qaida and other groups are inundating the peninsula.

Last week’s move to open Egypt’s border with Gaza at the Rafah passage is further proof that the military has made its peace with the Islamic takeover of Egypt. While the likes of The New York Times make light of the significance of the move by pointing to the restrictions that Egypt has placed on Palestinian travel, the fact is that the Egyptians just accepted Hamas’s sovereignty over an international border.

Many in the West argue that given Egypt’s increasingly dire economic situation, there is no way the military will turn its back on the US and Europe. By all accounts, Egypt is facing economic collapse. By summer’s end it will be unable to feed its population due to grain shortages. By November, its foreign reserves will have dried up.

But rather than do everything they can to convince foreign investors and governments that Egypt’s market is safe, the military junta is taking steps that destroy the credibility of the Egyptian market. To please both the Mubarak-obsessed protesters at Tahrir Square and the Muslim Brotherhood, the military refuses to reinstate natural gas shipments to Israel.

Not only is Egypt denying itself hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues by cutting off gas shipments to Israel, (and Jordan, Syria and Lebanon). It is destroying its reputation as a credible place to do business. And according to the New York Times, it is also making it impossible for the Obama administration to help the Egyptian economy.

elocon cream side effects

The Times’ reported this week that the US tied President Barack Obama’s pledge of $1 billion in debt forgiveness and $1b. in loan guarantees to the Egyptian authorities asserting sovereignty in northern Sinai.

cipro 500

Presumably this means they must renew gas shipments to Israel and fight terror.

The fact that the military would rather facilitate Egypt’s economic collapse than take the unpopular step of renewing gas shipments to Israel ought to end any thought that economic interests trump political sentiments. This situation will only get worse when the Muslim Brotherhood takes over Egypt in September.

AND MAKE no mistake.

They intend to take over. As they did in the lead up to March’s constitutional referendum, the Brotherhood is using its mosques as campaign offices. The message is clear: If you are a good Muslim you will vote for the Muslim Brotherhood.

When Mubarak was overthrown in January, the Brotherhood announced it would only contest 30% of the parliamentary seats. Last month the percentage rose to 50. In all likelihood, in September the Brotherhood will contest and win the majority of the seats in the Egyptian parliament.

amoxil ampicillin anti

When Mubarak was overthrown, the Brotherhood announced it would not run a candidate for president. And when Brotherhood Shura governing council member and Physicians Union leader Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh announced last month that he is running for president, the Brotherhood quickly denied that he is the movement’s candidate. But there is no reason to believe them.

According to a report Thursday in Egypt’s Al- Masry al-Youm’s English edition, the Brotherhood is playing to win. They are invoking the strategies of the movement’s founder, Hassan al-Banna, for establishing an Islamic state. His strategy had three stages: indoctrination, empowerment and implementation. Al-Masry al-Youm cites Khairat al- Shater, the Brotherhood’s “organizational architect,” as having recently asserted that the Brotherhood is currently in the second stage and moving steadily towards the third stage.

Now that we understand that they are about to implement their goal of Islamic statehood, we need to ask what it means for Egypt and the region.

On Sunday, Brotherhood Chairman Mohammed Badie gave an interview to Egyptian television that was posted on the Muslim Brotherhood’s English website iquwanweb.com. Badie’s statements indicated that the Brotherhood will end any thought of democracy in Egypt by taking control over the media. Badie said that the Brotherhood is about to launch a public news channel, “with commitment to the ethics of the society and the rules of the Islamic faith.”

He also demanded that state radio and television begin broadcasting recordings of Banna’s speeches and sermons. Finally, he complained about the anti-Brotherhood hostility of most private media organs in Egypt.

As for Israel, Badie was asked how a Brotherhood- led Egypt would react if Israel takes military action against Hamas. His response was honest enough. As he put it, “The situation will change in such a case, and the Egyptian people will have their voice heard.

female viagra

Any government in power will have to respect the choice of the people, whatever that is, like in any democracy.”

In other words, the peace between Israel and Egypt will die of populist causes.

SO FAR, Israel’s responses to these strategically disastrous developments have been muted and insufficient. On Wednesday, the Defense Ministry announced that Israel is speeding up construction of the border fence between Egypt and Israel. The 210-km.-long fence is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2012.

While this is an important move given Gaza’s effective fusion into Sinai with the border opening, it does not address the looming threat from Egypt itself. It does not address the fact that with Mubarak’s ouster, a previously all-but unthinkable outbreak of hostilities with Egypt has now become eminently thinkable.

Facing the prospect of a Muslim Brotherhoodruled Egypt in September, Israel’s government must begin preparing both diplomatically and militarily for a new confrontation with Egypt.

The West’s intoxication with the myth of the Arab Spring means that currently, the political winds are siding with Egypt. If Egypt were to start a war with Israel, or simply support Hamas in a war against Israel, at a minimum, Cairo would enjoy the same treatment from Europe and the US that the Hezbollah-dominated Lebanese government and army enjoyed in 2006. To block this possibility, the government must begin educating opinion shapers and political leaders in the West about the nature of the Muslim Brotherhood It must also call for a cut-off of US military aid to Egypt.

Militarily, the government must increase the size of the IDF’s Southern Command. The Egyptian armed forces have more than a million men under arms. Egypt’s arsenal includes everything from F-16s to Abrams tanks

add comment effects levitra side

to first-class naval ships to ballistic missiles to sophisticated pontoon bridges for crossing the Suez Canal.

The IDF must expand its draft rolls and increase its force size by at least one division. It must also begin training in desert warfare and develop and purchase appropriate conventional platforms.

With the Iranians now apparently moving from developing nuclear capabilities to developing nuclear warheads, and with the Palestinians escalating their political war and planning their next terror war against Israel, it stands to reason that nobody in the government or the IDF wants to consider the strategic implications of Egypt’s reversion from peace partner to enemy.

AN EXPOSITION OF CHAPTER 11 OF THE BOOK OF DANIEL – BLOG 5

(ARCHIVE BLOG 4 WAS ISSUED MAY 22, 2011)

PREVIEW OF TYPE OF BORDER INCIDENTS THAT WILL ONE DAY START THE FINAL WAR OF THIS AGE, LIKELY AT SOME POINT IN TIME TWIXT 2013 & 2015.

June 6, 2011

http://www.tribulationperiod.com/

God’s prophecies He has fulfilled in the past are assurance to each new generation He will perform those yet to be fulfilled.

Isaiah 41:18-23 – I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. [19] I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: [20] That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it. [21] Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob. [22] Let them bring them forth, and shew us what shall happen: let them shew the former things, what they be, that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come. [23] Shew the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye are gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold it together.

The current June 6 border activity is a prototype of the sort of action which will one day lure the IDF to drive north across the Lebanese border into a well planned counterattack by the king of the north.

BLOG 4 ENDED WITH AN EXPOSITION OF DANIEL 11:39

Daniel 11:40 – And at THE TIME OF THE END the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

The king of the south represents the initial northern extension of the land division allotted to the Grecian General Ptolemy, which extended from Egypt all the way to what is the present border of Israel with Lebanon and Syria.

General Ptolemy was the first king of the south, and the residents of what is now Israel were his subjects. Countless numbers of territorial wars have raged between the kings of the north and the kings of the south.

Consequently, the land we know as Israel has been

the battlefield between the two, and the kings of the north conquered Jerusalem many times from the time of General Ptolemy to the End of the reign of Syrian King of the North Antiochus Epiphanes and the Maccabean Kings of the South in Israel.

King of the north Antiochus Epiphanes’ IV penetrated south into the Kingdom of the south Ptolemy on four occasions between Daniel 11:21 and 35, but his reign was finished many years ago in the brief age of the Maccabeans.

Antiochus Epiphanes was a prototype or type of Antichrist, but the final true Antichrist will soon arise.

The final king of the north is Antichrist. He will eventually rise in Greater Syria to lead a planned massive counter attack against Israel, the final king of the south.

The final Syrian king of the north will cunningly lay the trap into which he will lure the final Israeli king of the south to once again push north into Lebanon, as Israel has done several times in the past. However, this time he will lead Daniel’s 10 horns in a massive counterattack to trap, surround, and smash the IDF,

then quickly turn south to drive into the shocked glorious land of Israel, which will only stop at Beersheba, where a UN truce will be accepted between Islam and Israel.

He will then put Egypt in his crosshairs after bypassing the 600 BC nations of Ammon, Moab, and Edom, which today make up Jordan. Jordan will be overthrown internally by the Palestinians that now make up 80 percent of today’s population under Muslim Brotherhood Influence.

Daniel 11:41 – He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

Discussing the issue of Palestinian refugees, which was one of the central themes of both Nakba and Naksa Day events, Netanyahu discussed the different ways that Israel and the Arab countries dealt with refugee Issues in 1948.

“In 1948, two refugee problems – around the same size – were created,” he said. “Little Israel absorbed its refugees, while the big Arab world didn’t,” referring to Jews from Arab countries who fled to Israel following the Jewish state’s creation.

of the 1967 war, in which Israel expanded its territory to include east Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Golan Heights, the Gaza Strip and Sinai.

“The responsibility for the incidents and the casualties falls on those carrying out these provocations, and on all those who encouraged them to act in this way,” Defense Minister Ehud Barak said.

Israeli officials would not confirm the casualties numbers being reported from Syria. “Damascus has a track record of not being precise with its data,” one government official said.

The official added that it was clear the Syrian government gave the green light for the protesters to move toward the border, and contrasted this with the situation on Sunday in Lebanon, where the border was quiet.

“One can only suppose that there was a decision taken in Syria to exploit the situation to change the subject from what is going on inside Syria,” the official said. The official also asked whether the Palestinians feel comfortable “being used as a propaganda tool by an authoritative government butchering its own people.”

As night fell, an unknown number of rioters encamped near Kuneitra, raising the possibility of a drawn-out confrontation that could last days.

Early on Sunday morning, Palestinians from the suburbs of Damascus had been bused to area across from Majdal Shams, and to the abandoned Syrian-border town of Kuneitra.

They massed at the border without interference from Syrian troops, in what the IDF described as a provocation by President Basher Assad that was designed to distract world attention away from the ongoing slaughter of protesters in Syria by Assad’s troops.

Soon after arriving in the Majdal Shams area, some 150 activists broke away from their fellows and descended a steep hill on the Syrian side, advancing toward the Israeli border.
