Revelation 6:12 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

The great earthquake of Revelation 16 is the great shaking of Joel 3 at the final battle of Armageddon. The earthquake puts the final touches on the spring flowing east from where the Temple once stood.

It is the spring of Joel 3:18, Ezekiel 47, and Zechariah 14.

Joel 3:14-18 – Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. [15] The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. [16] The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem;

and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. [17] So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. [18] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mount ains

Chapter 27 – God Forms a Spring on a Temple Mount

Ezekiel 47:1 – Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

Birth Pang Number 24 ended with the creation of the fault scarp shown in Figure 42 (click on Figures above). God has been creating thousands of fault scarps, just like this one, all across the earth since the dawn of creation.

Figure 42, in the lower right hand corner, pictures an extract, from a standard geological text, that shows a normal fault scarp. Please note that God has been using fault scarps for countless centuries to produce springs of water. The text states: “A fault line is sometimes indicated on the surface by a succession of springs which emerge along the line of displacement.” It w as not by accident God made a b

asic limestone formation as the first one thousand feet of rock strata under Jerusalem. Limestone is the perfect rock for the generation of beautiful, clear springs, when uplifting of limestone layers occurs.

When rain falls upon limestone it forms a weak, carbonic acid, which slowly eats away at the basic composition of limestone, so that the water permeates downward through the limestone. It is this process which eventually forms vast underground water reserves and streams on top of impermeable rock layers below the limestone. The topography of Jerusalem and its environs is one of permeable limestone over impermeable rock layers.

This karst type of landscape has produced a system of underground water reserves and streams. This system slopes downward from the middle ridge of the Judean Mountains eastward under the city of Jerusalem. It is the watershed zone for the springs in and around Jerusalem. The royal cistern of Solomon’s Temple, which now underlies the courtyard immediately to the north of the Dome of the Rock, is supplied by permeation and limestone springs.

This system is only a part of a vast underground water supply stretching north, west, and south of Jerusalem. Sorek Cave is located just fifteen miles west of Jerusalem within the Avshalom Reserve. Permeation of water downward has created this great limestone cave, and upon the floor of

this great cavern are pools of clear water. These types of underground water reservoirs exist all across the earth’s surface. Figure 43, from a geological text by Tarr shows the immergence of springs at the surface from underground reservoirs. In his text, New Physical Geology, Tarr states: “Water percolating through soluble rock, like limestone, dissolves the rock along joint planes and bedding planes. This often results in the formation of long, irregular, underground valleys, or caverns, such as the Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. In such places much of the drainage is underground. There are large surface streams and few tributaries, the chief water supply coming from the springs that bring the cavern water to the surface.” There are numerous springs to the immediate south, west, and north of Jerusalem, as well as one under it, and another under the old city of David.

Figure 42 shows the exposed scarp (or bluff) generated by the lifting along the line through the Tyropoeon Valley. This lifted zone consists of layer after layer of permeable limestone, and at its base is a thick layer of impermeable flint and hard dolomite. When this layer of permeable limestone is lifted, its water zone, flowing above the flint and dolomite, will suddenly burst forward as a limestone spring just to the north of the Dome of the Rock. This is the spring of Ezekiel 47:1. Figure 44 shows the geological formation that will exist after the lifting. There will be a continuous feeding of meteorologically stored water into the system throughout the millennial reign of Christ. As rain falls upon uplifted western Jerusalem, and its Judean watershed, it will seep slowly downward through the limestone to constantly re-supply a great invisible reservoir perched above an impermeable layer of rock.

This is quoted from a standard earth science text, concerning this type of spring: “However, one type of hillside spring is likely to flow continuously. This is a spring formed at the zone of contact between permeable and impermeable rocks. Water filters down through the permeable rock and comes to the surface on a hill side when it meets the impermeable rock layer.” The Bible indicates Ezekiel’s spring will flow continuously throughout the millennial reign of Christ, and this is exactly what happens when strata, like that under Jerusalem, is lifted.

There are some commentaries that identify the waters found in Ezekiel 47 as “spiritual” waters, not literal waters. But this is not the case, for we are told in this chapter that: (1) the waters empty into a river, (2) the river empties into a salty sea, (3) the fresh water eventually removes most of the salt, and (4) fish will live in the freshened water.

I have great difficulty in accepting “spiritual” water that has “physical” fish living in it.

Once the spring has been formed, the remnant of Israelites, which God brought through the Tribulation Period, will see the spring where Solomon’s Temple once stood. They will take the blueprint narrative instructions, contained after chapter 39 in Ezekiel, and will build the Millennial Temple such that the waters will issue out “from under the threshold of the house eastward,” and such that they come “down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.”

Researchers Explore Stream-filled Cavern At Entrance To Jerusalem

Hebrew University of Jerusalem researchers have conducted an initial survey of what appears to be an important, ancient water source in a cave that was been discovered during excavation work for a new train station being constructed at the entrance to Jerusalem.

The work was done by members of the Cave Research Unit

of the university, headed by Prof. Amos Frumkin of the Department of Geography.

The cave was exposed near the base of a deep service shaft that was dug for the train tunnel leading into the new station, located opposite the main bus station in Jerusalem. The full length of the cave is as yet unexplored.

The cave is narrow and a few dozen meters high, forming an underground canyon. It contains an underground stream, flowing in a southeasterly direction. It is a type of karstic cave, which refers to an area of limestone in which dissolution has produced sinkholes, underground streams and caverns. Karstic caves are common mainly where the climate is wetter, such as Slovenia.

The length of the cave is believed to extend for several hundred meters, at least, though its true length will only be known after subsequent explorations. At a distance of some 200 meters from the service shaft, the Hebrew University cave explorers found a series of small waterfalls. Test ing of the water

in the cave, it is believed, can yield valuable information about potential pollution of the underground water supply in the Jerusalem area.

“This cave is the largest and most impressive of its type that has yet been found in Israel,” said Frumkin. He pointed out that the cave is situated in an area about which there is uncertainty regarding the direction of the flow of water in the mountain aquifer, and this cave can assist in achieving a better understanding of that phenomenon.

Frumkin cited the law that requires preservation of the cave for future generations, but said that this should be feasible for the most part without harming the work on the construction of the new train station.

I have taught since 1976 that when the land is lifted from Geba to Rimmon it will cause a stored underground stream to suddenly pop up on the Temple Mount, that will flow eastward through a divided Mount of Olives to link with a diverted Jordan River. The subsurface river & lake immediately west of the center of Jerusalem’s Western Wall, is an extension of the Judean Hills Watershed.

The Jerusalem Central Bus Station is the main bus depot in Jerusalem, Israel and one of the busiest bus stations in the country. Located on Jaffa Road near the entrance to the city, it serves Egged, Superbus and Dan intercity bus routes.

City buses pick up and discharge passengers across the street on Jaffa Road and on Zalman Shazar Boulevard, which can be accessed via an underground pedestrian passageway.

They were digging under the Central Bus Station to establish a terminal exit for the new Jerusalem underground railroad Terminal.

Chapter 26 – God Lifts His Land and His City

Zechariah 14:10 – All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses.

Because of its exacting detail as to the section of land that would be lifted up, this is perhaps the most remarkable geological prophecy in the Old Testament. We are advised that, along a line from Geba to Rimmon (See Figure 39), God intends to produce a fantastic geological transformation of the landscape. When this violent transformational action is completed, there will be a plain like zone from from Geba to Rimmon and, at the same time, a lifting movement will have elevated the two hills of western Jerusalem. This Scripture indicates that all of the land, immediately to the west of the line from Geba to Rimmon (See Figure 39), will be “lifted up” to a higher elevation, while all the land, immediately to the east of this line, will be lowered to form what appears “as a plain.” The lifting of the land from Geba to Rimmon will include

the city of Jerusalem. The sections west of the Tyropoeon Valley will be lifted up, and those sections to the east will collapse into a plain (See Figure 40).

The prophet Zechariah knew nothing about the existence of the many structural weaknesses in the crust of the land of Israel, nor did anyone else in his day. There was only one being who did, the God who made the earth. The same God, who inspired Zechariah to write of this event, placed a structural weaknesses in the crust of the earth from Geba to Rimmon long before the prophets were born. It was an appropriate type of weakness; one that went up and down in response to shak

ings in the earth. It is only within the last century that men have begun to understand how this particular type of mechanism works in the earth’s crust. Within the last 50 years, geologists uncovered a structural weakness, within the crust of the earth, that passes through Jerusalem on its run from Geba to Rimmon. It is a structural weakness, embedded within the Judean Folds, and has a long history of upwarping. This upwarping zone is known as the Shekhem Syncline, which is one of the lineaments within the Levantine faulting and upwarping system of the Holy Land.

Along the part of this lineament, that extends from Geba to Rimmon, there is a historical pattern of lifting to the west of it, and of downwarping to the east of it.

Concerning the uplifting and downfaulting, along the Shekhem Syncline, and the Jordan-Arabah Rift Valley, Horowitz, in his 1979 text, “The Quaternary of Israel,” states: “It should be noted that the age of uplifting and upwarping is synchronous with the age of major downfaulting of the Jordan-Arava Rift Valley, and the opening of the Bay of Elat. It seems, therefore, that these two lineaments acted simultaneously, but in opposite directions.” When violent upwarping begins along the line from Geba to Rimmon, then a simultaneous downfaulting to its east will occur through the Mount of Olives.

God has been lifting and lowering large sections of the earth’s crust, across the entire earth, along these types of weaknesses, for many centuries. It was along a weakness like this that the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range of California was formed (See Figure 41)

. I believe the immediate land sections, west of a line from Geba to Rimmon, will be lifted like fault block mountains, and the land, immediately to the east of it, will collapse into a narrow valley plain. Please note the two mile high fault scarp in Figure 41. The fault scarp in Israel will not be nearly as high, perhaps ranging from increases of 500 to 2500 feet in height.

Please observe, in Figure 40, the upwarping structural weakness line that separates the two western hills of Jerusalem from its three eastern hills. This topographical feature is known as the Tyropoeon Valley. The zone “from Benjamin’s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king’s winepresses” is that section of land which includes the two western hills of Jerusalem. It is not by accident that this structural line of weakness extends north to south directly behind where Solomon’s Temple was located. If you visit Jerusalem, go north through the Dung Gate and walk straight north until the Wailing Wall is visible to your right. Then turn and face west, with your back to the Wailing Wall. You will be facing a fault scarp that has

been lifted many times in the past. Soon it will be lifted again when great earthquakes ripple through the Jordan Valley.

When the critical pressure is reached in the Gulf of Aqabah (See Figure 25), then the Arabah Fault will rip open northward across Israel. It will generate the greatest earthquakes and topographical transformations in recorded history.

The structural weakness from Geba to Rimmon, with its branch through the Tyropoeon Valley, will undergo massive uplifting to its west, and downfaulting to its east. This prophecy will soon be fulfilled by the God who led Zechariah to write it. Figure 42 visually displays the city of Jerusalem after the lifting has occurred. The exposed bluff, created by the uplifting, is what geologists call a fault scarp. There will be a massive fault scarp extending all the way from Geba to Rimmon.

During earthquake activity down through the ages, God has created thousands of fault scarps across the surface of His earth. In this instance God has chosen to give us the exact location where He will perform His handiwork. And he has told us thousands of years before he does it.

Ezekiel 38:19,20 – For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; [20] So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

Zechariah 14:4,5 – And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. [5] And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Joel 3:15-18 – The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. Builders find rare underground stream while working on railway station; geologists say it is largest underground river found in Israel.

Excavators digging for a new railway station deep under the surface of central Jerusalem have discovered what geologists say is the largest underground river ever found in Israel.

And while its deep canyons and waterfalls may be an impressive find for scientists, it doesn’t contain a significant amount of the precious fluids to affect the water balance in this traditionally parched city

We found a nice but small underground river,” Professor Amos Frumkin, head of the Cave Research Unit of the Hebrew University’s Department of Geography, told The Media Line.

“In terms of Israel, it’s the longest underground stream that we have ever seen. It is a kind of a canyon that has been cut by the stream of the water over a long period of time, maybe millions of years,” Frumkin said.

Frumkin and his team were called upon by Israel Railways after its engineers chanced upon the cave while excavating an 80-meter (260-foot) shaft close to the city’s main convention center and central bus station that is being drilled for a huge, underground station that will serve the high-speed Jerusalem-Tel Aviv railway.

When they reached the depth of 75 meters they cut into this cave accidentally. The water started flowing into this shaft and they had some problems until they found some engineering solution and called us,” Frumkin said.

“We were the first humans ever to set foot inside this cave. However, it wasn’t very easy. It meant crawling in mud and some rappelling on ropes was required. So you needed some spelunking techniques,” he said. “It was beautiful. One canyon was over 200 meters long and we never reached its end. We found some waterfalls inside, which was nice for our arid country.”

Jerusalem is not known for its water sources and there is only one major spring in the city, the biblical Gihon, which has been gurgling since before King David’s time. With a population of some 700,000, Jerusalem gets its water pumped up from the coastal aquifer.

Frumkin said the cave appears to have developed after water seeped in from the surface and dissolved the underlying limestone. While other major caves have been discovered in Israel, this was the only one with running water.

This is the longest one with an active stream flowing through it. All the other stalactite caves in Israel are without any stream of water today. They are just dripping water from the ceiling and the streams that formed the cave have long vanished because of geological and hydrological changes in the mountains,” he said.

“This one is still active in terms that the stream which was forming the cave is still active and this is not very common in Israel. It is much more common in other countries that are wetter like Europe and America and tropical countries,” Frumkin said.

Frumkin said the cave was at some points a few dozen meters high and speculated that the water originated from the surface and it was likely rainwater and possibly leakage from pipes and even sewage. Unlike a cave discovered a few years ago in central Israel that contained previously unknown crustaceans, the Jerusalem cavern has been found to host some microbes but no other major forms of life.

“The study of the cave can help us understand the precise mechanism by which water flows through the aquifer in the Jerusalem area,” he added.

He said that efforts were underway to reseal the cave entrance so that the water channel could be preserved without compromising the railway project.

“The train station will be built, but I believe that we can also preserve the cave by building some doorway to seal the cave but to allow the entry to anyone who needs to get into it for one reason or another. So the cave won’t be lost,” he said.

Hammering Israel on the 1967 Lines

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has renewed President Obama’s demand that Israel accept the 1967 lines as the starting point for future Middle East peace negotiations.

While the administration is trying to sell this pressure as being part of a master plan to head off a vote in the UN on Palestinian statehood, the administration is misjudging both the Palestinians and the diplomatic situation.

It should have already been made clear to both Obama and Clinton that any time they call for a unilateral Israeli concession in the hope that it will entice the Palestinians to return to peace talks, their move has the opposite effect. Obama’s calls for settlement freezes in the West Bank and Jerusalem only caused

the Palestinians to adopt these as preconditions for talks. The same is now true of the president’s ill-advised emphasis on the 1967 lines.

Since the Palestinian Authority k nows that it can

not sign a peace accord recognizing the legitimacy of Israel no matter where its borders may be drawn, they will seize upon any excuse not to talk and Obama has supplied them with just what they wanted.

Moreover, the reported desperation of the Americans to avoid casting a veto in the UN of the Palestinian attempt to gain a state without recognizing Israel and ending the conflict is also misplaced.

Appeasing the Palestinians in this manner will damage Israel’s position. An Israeli concession on borders prior to talks even beginning will deprive them of their one bargaining chip.

The administration can’t claim that it is supportive of Israel while at the same time hammering it to give in on borders. The notion that Obama must pressure Israel for its own good is not one that ought to make any sense to mainstream Jewish groups as well as to Congress.

The White House is pressing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to publicly adopt President Obama’s view that Israel’s pre-1967 border should be the basis for future peace talks. Steven Simon, the new White House National Security Council senior director for the Middle East and North Africa, told representatives of the American Jewish community Friday during a conference call: “We have a month to see if we can work something out with the Israelis and Palestinians as accepting these principles as a basis for negotiations. If that happens we are somewhat confident that the Palestinians will drop what they intend to do in the UN.”In the conference call, Simon said the U.S. would oppose a Palestinian unilateral declaration at the UN whether Israel adopted the Obama principles or not. Israel is being pressured to give up prior understandings that the Western Wall and the Jerusalem suburbs, for example, would never be part of a Palestinian state. A veteran negotiator explains, “This administration believes that every single deviation from ‘the 1967 borders’ must be paid for by Israel in a one to one swap.

That has never before been the U.S. government’s demand, and it weakens Israel’s bargaining position.” In other words, there is zero difference in the Obama scheme between “1967 borders” and “1967 border with land swaps.” In both, the starting point is borders Israel has deemed indefensible.

Lebanon has finally fallen to Hizbullah and Syria to settle into position as one of the 10 toes and 10 horns. The toes on the statue and horns on the beast are becoming more identifiable to those watching for the beginning of the final war of the Age of the Gentiles.

BEIRUT – Lebanon’s Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced on Monday a long-delayed new government dominated by allies of Iranian-backed Hezbollah, which is likely to cause alarm among Western powers.

Mikati was appointed to form a government after Hezbollah and its allies toppled Western-backed former premier Saad Hariri’s coalition in January over a dispute involving the UN-backed tribunal investigating the assassination of statesman Rafik al-Hariri, Saad’s father.

The Cabinet’s majority is made up of the Hezbollah-led March 8 coalition, and Mitaki was quoted as saying by the Lebanese Daily Star that the “government will be a government for all Lebanon and will work for all the Lebanese people without discrimination.”

“Let us go to work immediately according to the principles and basis that we have affirmed our commitment to several times, namely … defending Lebanon’s sovereignty and its independence and liberating land that remains under the occupation of the Israeli enemy,” Mikati said at the Baabda Presidential Palace.

Political wrangling had held up the formation of the cabinet, including disagreements over sensitive posts.

The new government gave three ministers to President Michel Sleiman, seven to Mikati, and three to Walid Jumblatt’s Progressive Socialist Party, with the March 8 coaltion claiming the remaining 18 seats.

Mohammed Safadi, the former economy minister, was named finance minister and will try to improve Lebanon’s growth outlook which stands at about 2.5 percent this year, driven down by the political stalemate.

Fayez Ghusn was named defense minister and Marwan Charbel as the interior minister. Nicolas Sehnawi was given the telecommunications portfolio, a post ridden with controversy due to disagreements over privatizing the sector.

Hariri, who is supported by the West and Saudi Arabia, has refused to join Mikati’s government.

A main aim of the government will be to agree on a unified stand to face indictments by the tribunal expected to implicate members of Hezbollah in the 2005 killing of Hariri. The group denies any link to the attack.

Mikati, who says he is politically neutral, said the Lebanese government would seek to maintain positive ties with all Arab countries.

Syrian President Bashar Assad, who has been fighting a popular revolt against his 11-year rule, telephoned Mikati to congratulate him, Lebanese media said. Syria is a strong ally of Hezbollah, the main player in the political coalition which helped bring Mikati to power in January.

“This government is committed to maintaining strong, brotherly ties which bind Lebanon to all Arab countries without exception,” Mikati said.

The cabinet was announced when a presidential decree was read out by the cabinet’s Secretary General Suheil Bouji at Baabda Palace.

The newly appointed ministers were expected to convene their first cabinet meeting on Wedensday.

‘One Mafia Helps Another’: Syrian Oppositionist on Russia’s Support for Syrian Regime

On June 10, 2011, the liberal Arab website Elaph posted an article by Syrian oppositionist Ghassan Al-Muflih about Russia’s support of the Syrian regime, titled “One Mafia Helps Another – Russia’s Position on Syria.”

The following is a translation of the article:

Russia Continues to Foster Mafia-Like Regimes that Were Its Allies in the Soviet Era

“While France, Britain and the U.S. are working in New York to persuade the [U.N.] Security Council members to pass a resolution condemning Damascus, the spokesman of the Russian foreign ministry has declared that Moscow is ‘firmly opposed’ to any such condemnation. He [explained] that this could make the situation in Syria even more dangerous, and that the Damascus regime needs more time in order to implement the reforms it has promised.

“This statement encapsulates the Russian position towards what is happening in Syria – the nonviolent revolution of the youth [in a demand for] freedom and dignity for our Syrian people – and towards the Syrian regime, which has once more revealed its true face in a way that cannot be undone. [This regime] is nothing but a family posse… But the fundamental question is why Russia chooses to take a stance in favor of murder.

“In the Cold War era, when the world was divided into East and West, each side naturally supported the countries in its own bloc, regardless of the character of their regimes. This was true both in the West and in the East. The Soviet Union was the leader of the eastern bloc. As everyone knows, issues of freedoms and human rights were not even part of its lexicon…

“Countries no doubt have interes

ts. But is it possible to regard the position of Russia, its prime minister, and its president [toward Syria as reflecting] the Russian interest?

“Looking at the Middle East, one notices that the Russians have tried to benefit from the remnants of old Soviet ties.

They continued to support mafia-like regimes, such as the Syrian and Libyan regimes… [One must] realize that the politicians who ruled Russia in the interim period after Gorbachev and Yeltsin were either remnants of the Soviet intelligence [apparatus] or products of Russia’s [rapid] transition to a market economy, which was largely a mafia economy…

“This gave rise to a political elite that takes a mafia-like approach to participation in the international arena. That is, it seeks political profit without any regard for moral, legal or diplomatic legitimacy.

“That is why [Russia] has maintained its ties with regimes like Syria and Libya.

These [Russian] elites were supposed to reshape their international relations in accordance with the profound political and economic change that Russia had undergone. [Instead], their behavior has been characterized by [pursuit] of quick profits, as is customary with gangs, because terms like ‘freedom of the peoples’ and ‘human rights’ have not yet entered their lexicon.

“[So], in renewing their ties with the peoples of the region, how could they possibly take a different tack than the Soviets?”

“The Syrian People Will Never Forget this [Russian] Stance, Which Completely Disregards the Peoples”

“The only change that has occurred is that this mafia-like Russian elite has renewed its ties with Israel in a different way from the rest of the world. Both the elites and the [Russian] people have improved their relations with [this country], at the expense of the support for the Palestinians. That is the only change that has occurred in Russian policy since the collapse of the Soviet Union…

“Now that it has lost the stronghold of Al-Qadhafi’s Libya, [Russia] is clinging to the gang in Damascus, which is its last stronghold [in the Middle East].

“The current Russian position is based on the position of many senior Israeli officials, who want the regime in Damascus [to survive]. It should be noted that the [Russian] position towards the revolutions in Tunisia and Egypt was almost neutral, because it does not enjoy a mafia-like influence in those countries.

“[Moreover], the private Russian arms manufacturers are seeking a market [for their products] amid global competition, but cannot find one. So they have reverted to the old method of [cultivating] ties with countries that purchase Russian weapons. The Russian mafia will never abandon this policy, until the West gives it a larger bribe than what [it gets] by cleaving to this [Syrian] regime that is murdering its own people.

“The Syrian people will never forget this [Russian] stance, which completely disregards the peoples.

From this day forward, the Russians will have no foothold in the Middle East, at least not among the peoples…”
