When the Declaration of Independence was signed, “NATIONAL INTEREST” was instituted as “what is best for all the colonies.” After we won the Revolutionary War, it became “what is best for America.” I believe this was our first President‘s belief and practice.

To say that personal reelection considerations did not enter into decisions made by individual Presidents, concerning NATIONAL INTEREST, in Centuries 18, 19, 20, and 21, would certainly be naïve on my part, but of one thing I am certain: Personal motivations by Presidents to be reelected have slowly overridden “what is best for America,” and has reached its zenith in advance of the 2012 election.

NATIONAL INTEREST today is basically WHAT SHOULD I DO TO BE REELECTED – IF IT HAPPENS TO BE GOOD FOR AMERICA THAT IS EVEN BETTER!

WHEN ISRAEL IS SUDDENLY VISIOUSLY ATTACKED IN A SURPRISE LIGHTNING JIHAD BLITZKRIEG FROM ITS NORTH, WHY DOESN’T THE U.S. ATTACK THE ISLAMIC GROUP OF NATIONS THAT ARE ATTACKING HER?

This is a question I have been asked over and over again for a long time.

I was asked again on e-mail recently, and this time, rather than answering the query privately, I decided to make it a prophecy update, so that that in future I could just attach this update to any new query and save myself repeating it again.

The one thing that I learned in the National Security Agency which has been, is, and always will be the motivating factor in any decision made by any country, including the United States, may be simply stated in two words: NATIONAL INTEREST. Many will cry out and say, not so, we did it for humanitarian reasons, we did it to secure justice, we did it out of compassion, we did it out of love, we did it because we love freedom, we did it because we are a great nation: and on and on shall come statements from every realm of society, from “bleeding” liberal hearts to the “hardened” hearts of the extreme right, all giving different reasons as to why this country did something.

But the truth of the matter is that, in the end, we always did it for what amounted to NATIONAL INTEREST.

The United States has quick response attack naval and marine forces in position at all times to put down a banana republic type of minor conflict on short notice. But in order to conduct a successful operation again a Jihad the magnitude of the coming attack of many nations against Israel, we would require some time to get enough regular ground troops in place to have a real hope of victory. It took us a very long time to get enough men and equipment into the Middle East to insure success in our victory against Iraq. The Scriptures indicate that 10 Islamic nations will be led by the Antichrist, and that they will overrun Jerusalem and drive Israel into the Negev. When Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran come pouring southward on both sides of the Samarian mountains, and

the Palestinians break out in all directions internally from within the enclosed buffer zone, chaos will reign supreme from Dan to Beersheba. There will be so much inner mingling of the attack forces of Israel and those of the enemy with the fleeing civilian population that air strikes would kill as many on one side as the other. Since the U.S. is fully aware of the Israel War Contingency Plan to evacuate as much of the population as possible to the Negev if overrun from the north, it will set in shock and indecision until it is too late to do anything except help to evacuate some of the coastal population from Tel Aviv to Haifa into the Negev, and to air lift supplies into the Negev.

The aircraft of the Islamic nations will be under orders not to fire on western power’s aircraft unless fired upon, because the one thing they will not want is for the U.S. to get actively engaged with them in an all out war. Once Israel has evacuated as much of its population into the Negev as possible, and the U.S. sees that the Arabs are not going past Beersheba, we will accept the status quo as best for all. Why? Because it will satisfy our NATIONAL INTEREST!

How? Israel will be safe and we will still be able to receive Arab Oil shipments.

WASHINGTON – US President Barack Obama said on Wednesday he will withdraw 10,000 US troops from Afghanistan

by year’s end and a total of 33,000 by the summer

of 2012.

In a nationally televised speech outlining a shift in US policy after a decade of war, Obama said that after the initial reduction, more troops will be pulled out of Afghanistan at a steady pace as Afghans take over their own security by 2014.

“America, it is time to focus on nation-building here at home,” he said.

Obama said the United States is able to remove troops as al-Qaida is under more pressure than at any time since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that precipitated the war.

He said the United States will join initiatives aimed at reconciling the Afghan people, including the Taliban, as the Afghan government and security forces are strengthened.

“This is the beginning — but not the end — of our effort to wind down this war,” Obama said, saying huge challenges remain there.

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates firmly backed Obama’s plan to withdraw around a third of US forces from Afghanistan.

“I support the president’s decision because it provides our commanders with enough resources, time and, perhaps most importantly, flexibility to bring the surge to a successful conclusion,” Gates, who steps down at the end of the month, said in a statement.

There are eight Greek words translated in the New Testament as “SAY.” Over the last 37 years I have come to believe the “SAY” in I Thessalonians 5:3 does not mean “they” are saying “we have” Peace and safety,” but are saying with great sentiment they greatly desire it as they cry out for it. The cry for peace in Israel has grown to a shrill worldwide volume since 1948.

And now, internal uprisings in Egypt and in Jordan are threatening to end their wobbling peace treaties with Israel, such that the cry saying “Peace and safety” has reached its highest historical pitch across an unstable planet.

About the Defensible Borders Initiative

The Defensible Borders Initiative of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs is the culmination of efforts by some of Israel’s leading military strategists, diplomats, international jurists, and parliamentarians to raise the international profile of Israel’s longstanding and internationally-sanctioned rights and requirements for secure and recognized boundaries.

This monograph is the first step in a much broader international effort that was launched on October 19, 2004, with a conference on Defensible Borders held jointly by the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee and the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.

The participants in the Defensible Borders Initiative have long recognized that the far-reaching concessions Israel has been prepared to make for peace have resulted in an unfortunate irony. The majority of the international community has forgotten what had been axiomatic after Israel vanquished six attacking armies in the Six-Day War of 1967.

UN Security Council Resolution 242 of November 22, 1967, granted Israel an international legal and moral mandate to retain territory in the disputed West Bank and Gaza Strip in order to establish defensible borders that could protect the country’s citizens and vital interests from further external attacks.

Ironically, this consensus was undermined by a sustained campaign of delegitimization of Israel’s international rights by the Palestinian leadership and Arab countries during and after the Oslo peace process. The Defensible Borders Initiative is a response to this campaign that led to highly politicized analyses of Israel’s international legal rights in many foreign government circles and the mass media.

A central aim of this report is to restore more intellectually rigorous analysis to the ongoing discussion over Israel’s future borders.

The broader Defensible Borders Initiative will involve briefings, seminars, and additional published reports that will expand upon Israel’s defense needs, national security requirements, and legal rights in the ongoing debate over the future of the Arab-Israeli peace process.

While it is still uncertain whether terrorism and tyranny will continue to prevail in the Middle East or whether freedom and democracy will take root, defensible borders will remain a vital safeguard for Israel’s future survival.

IDF chief discusses civil defense exercise “Turning Point 5” on Wednesday, says “this is neither the first one nor the last

one.”

IDF Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz surveyed the nationwide civil defense exercise, “Turning Point 5,” from Nazereth Illit on Wednesday.

“The drill has just begun,” he said, continuing, “This is neither the first one nor the last one. Nor is it a special drill. It is important to continue to train in order to be prepared.”

Regarding the chances of a conflict erupting on the northern border with Lebanon and Syria or along the Gazan border in the south, Gantz stated, “I don’t foresee us entering a conflict any time soon. But reality is uncertain, and has the ability to change from one situation to another in a matter of hours. It is important to continue to train properly. Lessons will be learned from this exercise and we will continue it next year.”

IDF Home Front Commander Maj.-Gen. Eyal Eisenberg, who replaced Maj.-Gen. Yair Golan as head of the IDF Home Front Command last week, said that the IDF was conducting the drills in order to “prepare civilians for life-threatening scenarios.”

Also speaking about the drill on Wednesday, former head of IDF intelligence Amos Yadlin warned that the missiles being aimed at Israel today are not only targeted towards peripheral communities such as Sderot and Kiryat Shmona, but rather that “they are being aimed at Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.”

Army Radio quoted Yadlin as saying “these missiles will not disappear, even if a peace agreement with the Palestinians is signed.”

An air raid siren sounded throughout the country on Wednesday as part of the exercise. The first siren was heard at 11 in the morning, with an additional siren scheduled for 7 in the evening.

The IDF Home Front Command decided to add an extra siren in the evening to enable families to practice their responses to missile attacks while at home together – not only in the mornings when people are either at work or in school.

The security cabinet met in an underground bunker in an undisclosed location in the Judean Hills on Wednesday as part of the drill. The bunker is meant for the prime minister and his cabinet in case of a missile attack.

Their special “emergency” meeting was scheduled for 8:30 a.m., and the ministers were asked not to bring any advisers or aides.

The Knesset also took part in the exercise on Wednesday, stopping a plenum discussion for ten minutes and evacuating to the building’s bomb shelter.

Knesset speaker Reuven Rivlin said of the parliamentarians that they “see special importance that the Knesset take part in this exercise, not just as citizens of the state but rather because we are threatened and a target of attack.”

Meanwhile, on Tuesday – as part of the same war drill – dozens of the country’s spokespeople from a variety of governmental and security bodies simulated how they are to act in time of mass missile attacks.

Home Front Defense Minister Matan Vilna’i, who took part in the exercise, emphasized the importance of carrying out public diplomacy during times of war, saying that today the battle in the media is no less important than that at the front.

The spirit of Islam is the spirit of Antichrist which is manifested verbally by the cry of the Islamic faith – “Allah Akbar.” They teach that Jesus was a prophet sent by Allah, and honor his virgin birth by Mary, but absolutely deny that Jesus is the Son of God by specifically stating that their god Allah has no son, and that there is no other God than Allah. This is undeniably a clear cut definite description of what the Bible identifies as the spirit of Antichrist. Because Islam has sealed its followers in this belief, God has sent Muslims a strong delusion that should believe this ungodly lie. To believe that Jesus was not God manifested IN THE FLESH as God began in New Testament times with the Gnostics, and John wrote against it.

For your information, after the September 11 bombings, when everybody thought there was going to be a backlash against the Muslim community, they said that within the first six months, over 35,000 Americans embraced Islam. That is a victory for us.

Micah 5:5,6 – And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. [6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from t

he Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

I have established, in previous updates, that “this man” of verse 5 is “the peace” himself because he ends the earthly reign of “the Assyrian” at the battle of Armageddon, and then brings in “the peace” that lasts for 1000 years on this present planet.

It is only Jesus Christ himself who has the power to bring such a thing to pass.

I believe verse 6 to be one of the most interesting verses in the Scriptures that have yet to be fulfilled. Why am I so certain it has never been fulfilled? Because Israel has not wasted the land of Assyria with the sword, or the land of Nimrod in its entrances thereof, since Micah wrote these prophecies! At the time he wrote the borders of the expanding Assyrian Empire covered all of modern day Israel north of Ramallah, all of modern Syria, all of modern Lebanon, and all of modern Iraq north of Baghdad. The historical settling of this area between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers after the flood in Noah’s day is of great value in the interpretation of Micah 5:6.

Genesis 10:1,6,8,22 – Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. [6] And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

[8] And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. [22] The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.

Assyria apparently derived its name from Asshur, the son of Shem. Later in time Asshur was worshipped as the chief God of the Assyrians. Asshur went into the northern area of the fertile plain lying between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, and his descendants that settled it were eventually called Assyrians. It is certain that Israel never wasted this area. Nimrod was the grandson of Ham through Cush. He founded a great kingdom between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers, south of the area of Asshur’s descendants, that extended south to the Persian Gulf. The “entrances” into it from the east, which is the direction the Israelis would come to “waste” it, were the shallow sections of the Euphrates River

that could be waded to gain entrance. The Euphrates was, and is, perhaps the greatest carrier of top water silt on this planet. The rapid descent gradient of its waters in the steep mountains of Turkey was able to sustain an enormous quantity of erosion debris cut off the mountain slopes, but when the water came onto the flat plains of modern day Iraq its speed was abruptly lowered, and the silt deposition rapidly built up lees across the Euphrates, making it possible for some areas to be waded. The long series of dams currently stretching from Turkey, through Syria, and into Iraq have helped to regulate the flow and silt deposition of the Euphrates, but at the time of Micah’s writings there would have been a plurality of wading entrances into the land of Nimrod across the Euphrates.

Now, why have I gone into such detail as to the locations of Assyria and the land of Nimrod? Because when Israel comes up out of the Negev at the battle of Armageddon, after having been confined there by the Assyrian for 1260 days, it will conquer a specified amount of territory to its north and east.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Malachi 4:1 – For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Zechariah 12:6-9 – In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. [7] The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. [8] In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them. [9] And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Micah 5:6 – And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

Israel will claim all the land from the River of Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River, with a northern latitudinal border extending to Hamath (Hama) in Syria, and a southern border extending to Kadesh

in the Sinai. And all this is not by accident, but by design and promise, for it was God’s ancient land grant promise to Abraham and to Israel. Its periphery is laid out in Genesis and Ezekiel. Its northern limits were to extend to the latitude of Hamath (Hama) in Syria, and its southern limits to the latitude of Kadesh. Its longitudinal limits to the west were to extend to the Mediterranean Sea and the River of Egypt, and its eastern longitudinal limits were to extend to the “entrances thereof” of the Euphrates River. This is the area of Micah 5:6 that Israel will “waste,” and then claim for a thousand years.

Genesis 15:18 – In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Ezekiel 47:17,19 – And the border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath.

And this is the north side. [19] And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea.

And this is the south side southward.

After Christ has himself, by himself, defeated the Assyrian at the battle of Armageddon to bring in “the peace” of a thousand years, then Israel will roar north out of the Negev to mop up what is left of a demoralized army that is fleeing north. Israel will take Jerusalem back, then drive north, northeast, and east to claim all the land west of the Euphrates River.

Isaiah 66:15,16 – For, behold, the Lord will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

[16] For by fire and by his sword will the Lord plead with all flesh: and the slain of the Lord shall be many.

Zechariah 14:12-14 – And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. [13] And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the Lord shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. [14] And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

US hardens stance on Syria’s Assad; EU prepares sanctions

EU ministers say they’re preparing to expand restrictive measures aimed at changing Syrian policy; US says “we want action, not words”; Barak predicts Assad’s downfall in six months.

The European Union on Monday said it was preparing to expand its sanctions on Syria in response to worsening violence against opponents of the government.

“The EU is actively preparing to expand its restrictive measures by additional designations with a view to achieving a fundamental change of policy by the Syrian leadership without delay,” a statement agreed by EU foreign ministers said.

EU diplomats said they expected a decision to expand the sanctions later in the week.

The United States also stepped up its rhetoric on Monday, saying it wanted to see “action, not words” from Syrian President Bashar Assad, who pledged political reforms within months.

“Bashar Assad has been making promises to his people for years, for weeks. What’s important now is action, not words,” US State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland told reporters.

She also dismissed Assad blaming saboteurs for the unrest.

“With regard to Bashar Assad’s allegation that what’s going on in his country is the result of foreign instigators, we’re just not buying it,” Nuland said.

She said the Syrian people continue to protest, which shows that “for them his words are not enough.”

While European and US officials began taking a harsher tone with Syria, Defense Minister Ehud Barak predicted that Syrian President Bashar Assad “has crossed the point of no return” and will stay in power only “for another quarter or two” as a result of the violent crackdown against anti-government demonstrators, he said in an Associated Press interview Monday.

“It’s my personal judgment that Bashar Assad crossed the point of no return towards his demise,” Barak said.

“[Assad] ended up using too much brutal force, too many graves have been dug and he lost practically his legitimacy in the eyes of the Syrian people,” Barak continued. “He probably will stay around for another quarter or two but that will not change his fate.”

Barak spoke following the opening of the Israeli section at the Paris Air Show.

Earlier Monday, Assad addressed his nation for the third time since the uprising began, saying an international conspiracy of saboteurs and extremists is to blame for the chaos that has gripped Syria during the three-month anti-regime upheaval.

The Meaning of “Allah Akbar”

Political Correctness: “Allah Akbar!” cheered Egyptian Muslims while trampling the remains of dozens of Christians eviscerated in last Friday’s suicide bombing. Yet we’re assured that the phrase has nothing to do with Islam.

Video taken at the gruesome scene outside a church in Alexandria, Egypt, clearly shows local rubberneckers who

oping it up as they shout “Allah Akbar!” — Arabic for “Allah is greatest!” We heard the same celebratory chant from Palestinians and other Muslims around the world as the Twin Towers burned. The list of Islamic terrorists heard shouting the phrase before launching attacks is long.

The 9/11 hijackers themselves screamed “Allah Akbar!” before crashing their planes. More recently, Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was heard crying “Allah Akbar!” before massacring 13 fellow soldiers at Fort Hood.

Never mind all that, say apologists intent on separating Islam from terror.

The expression is benign, they insist.

“The guy who gets up on the plane and says

‘Allah!’ or whatever and then blows the plane up is not making a statement about his faith,” American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee head James Zogby said last year, speaking to congressional staffers.

Zogby says it’s more an expression of frustration, like Christians blurting out their Savior’s name after accidently hammering their thumb. “Somebody says ‘Jesus Christ!’ they’re not making a statement of faith,” he explained. “They’re saying, I’m really mad right now.”

The comparison is absurd.

Muslims say “Allah is greatest” to exalt their God. When Christians mutter “Jesus Christ,” they in contrast are taking their Lord’s name in vain. There’s no corresponding “Jesus Christ is greatest!”

Zogby wins the prize for post-9/11 fig-leafing. He made his remarks in August as a panelist at a little-known Hill forum on the “image of Muslims in America,” sponsored by the Congressional Muslim Staff Association, or CMSA. A transcript of the event shows attendees clearly upset over polls showing growing numbers of Americans holding negative views about Islam [editor’s note: facts are overcoming taqiyya].

Other panelists included Salam al-Marayati, who was kicked off an anti-terror panel in 1999 by then-House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt for his inflammatory rhetoric. He now watches what he says.

He and other “moderate” Muslim panelists said Americans have it all wrong, that they’ve been fed “misinformation.” They maintained that Islam is “tolerant,” that “democracy is at the heart of Islam,” and that women who wear the Islamic headscarf are “liberated.” They also claimed that the Ground Zero mosque is “actually intended to develop interfaith understanding.”

Who’s misinforming whom?

The moderator noted at the end of the program that CMSA is run by “Mr. J. Saleh Williams.” Turns out the “J” stands f or Jihad. Williams is a convert to Islam, and that’s the name he chose. Of all the Arabic names, that’s t he one

he picked.

Recent reports reveal that these Muslim staffers over the years have invited a parade of radical Muslims to speak on the Hill, including terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki. Now a fugitive al-Qaida leader, he led prayers and spoke after 9/11 — and after privately counseling some of the “Allah Akbar!”-shouting hijackers.

Such disinformation lulls Americans into a false sense of security about the threat from Islamism. That it is allowed to emanate from Congress is an outrage.
