I lost track long ago of how many radiological plots I worked up involving where the nuclear particles would flow with the low to high level winds if a nuclear bomb were dropped at any specific location. It was very important to know in advance where the fallout would travel in 6, 12, 24, and 36 hours for military US and Soviet Union

Targets. I plotted my first Radiological Fallout Plots in 1952.

During the Soviet Hydrogen Bomb Tests on Novaya Zemlya Island in the Kara Sea, they tried to select a favorable time for detonation such that the fallout would affect unpopulated areas. The most favorable fallout track was between Franz Josef Island and North Island into the Arctic Ocean north of the Laptev Sea, the Siberian Islands, the East Siberian Sea, and the northeastern tip

of the Soviet Union. I was required to provide a forecast when a detonation occurred, predicting when the upper plume would exit Soviet airspace. It was possible to collect a sample for the examination of how far they had come in their technological nuclear development.

If a meltdown of the Nuclear Reactors does occur in northern Japan, it will not produce an explosive cloud plume that pushes above the tropopause level into the stratosphere. I doubt if it would go any higher than 10,000 feet, so its effect on the US would be of no consequence.

Revelation 6:14- And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

In Birth Pang Number 4 we went into specific detail as to the meaning of “and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.” I am convinced this Scripture, along with “and every island fled away, and the mountains were not found,” means that the tectonic plates, shown in figure 3, will shift sufficiently to change the latitudinal and longitudinal mini-second coordinates of every island and mountain on the face of the earth. This will produce wave after wave of unbelievable earthquake activity rippling through the horizontal and vertical structure of the earth. At the same time this fantastic earthquake scenario is occurring, the heaven will depart “as a scroll when it is rolled together.” The shifting of the plates produces both phenomena: earthquakes by an unlocking of pent-up pressures along plate boundaries, and a departure of the heavenly view by smoke from volcanic eruptions along the same moving boundaries.

I am convinced that the shifting of the plates will generate the formation of chains of volcanic eruptions, pictured in figure 10, along all the boundaries shown in figure 3. God, who made everything I have described to the point, has also created, around the entire earth, a great temperature inversion shroud in the lower section of the stratosphere, just above the tropopause. Any time there is a moderate to severe vertical volcanic eruption, smoke is forcefully injected through the tropopause, and then trapped beneath the temperature inversion of the stratosphere. There is virtually no moisture above the tropopause and, since the smoke particles cannot be made heavy enough to fall earthward by condensation of water vapor on them, the smoke remains suspended in the lower section of the stratosphere for five to fifteen years. The winds in the lower section of the stratosphere spread the volcanic smoke around the entire envelope of atmosphere that surrounds the earth over a two to four year period. Figure 11 portrays the great temperature inversion that exists through the stratosphere around the entire earth.

As the smoke attempts to rise through this inversion it soon reaches a temperature near its own, and then begins to flatten out into a great shield of smoke, a shield that is then carried by upper level winds to produce an earth encompassing cloud throughout the lower stratosphere.

Have you ever really looked at all the Old and New Testament prophecies that describe the appearance of the heavenly bodies during the last three and one-half years of

the Tribulation Period? Let us now consider just a few of them, to see if we can correlate them with the increasing severity from start to finish.

Revelation 8:12 – And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

Joel 2:30,31 – And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

[31] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.

Revelation 6:12 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Joel 2:10 – The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

Matthew 24:29 – Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

How can this be

? One prophet says you will not be able to see the sun, moon, and stars about one-third of the time, but another says you won’t be able to see them at all. These prophecies are fulfilled gradually over the last three and one-half years of the Tribulation Period, and the prophets have been given visions of the effects on the view of the heavenly bodies from the earth, at different times, during this period. Let us assume that the last three and on-half years of the Tribulation Period have begun, and a person is standing at point “X” on figure 12. This person could look up and see the sun, moon, or stars from this vantage point on the earth’s surface without obstruction. Now, let’s allow figure 12 to become alive, with the winds of the stratosphere moving the volcanic smoke clouds around the earth in patches. Within a few hours after you had made your unobstructed observation of the sun, moon, or stars, the thin leading edge of the volcanic cloud would begin to move between you and the heavenly bodies.

If it were night, the moon would turn blood red.

If it were day, the sun would be darkened. Within an hour or so the thicker part of

the volcanic smoke shield would move over you, and the sun, moon, or stars would completely disappear from view.

After a few more hours the back side of the cloud would move past, and you would once again be enjoying a clear space between volcanic cloud patches, such that the sun, moon, or stars would again be visible. This scenario would be repeated over and over again during the last three and one-half years of the Tribulation Period, but on a gradually worsening trend.

You would not be able to see the sun, moon, or stars about one-third of the time – at times the moon would be blood red and the sun black as sackcloth of hair – and sometimes you could not see any of the heavenly bodies. All of this is exactly what the Old and New Testament prophets observed in their visions. These are a part of the “signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars” prophesied by Luke.

Luke 21:25,26 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

At this point it may seem I have been sidetracked from explaining “and the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together,” but everything up to this point has been for that very purpose.

In Revelation 6:14, the word used for heaven is “ouranos,” and there are three of them: (1) The heaven where God dwells, (2) The heaven that makes up our atmosphere, and (3) The heaven were the sun, moon, stars, and other heavenly bodies dwell, that is, the universe. It is the latter to which John refers. The word used for departed is “apechoristhe,” which, in this case, simply means “was removed from view.” John is saying he saw what the Hebrews considered heaven (sun, moon, and stars) removed from his view.

When something or someone departs, or is removed, it is no longer visible to the one from which it departed. John says that the heaven disappeared from his view, and then tells us the manner in which it disappeared: “as a scroll when it is rolled together.”

In figure 13 you can see the likeness of a Hebrew scroll. If while you were reading the scroll it was slowly rolled together, then it could be truly stated that the writing departed from your view, “as a scroll when it is rolled together.” In his vision John looked up into what the Hebrews considered one of the heavens and, as he watched, the heavenly bodies slowly disappeared over a period of time. This is exactly what will occur during the period of time we identify as the last three and one-half years of the Tribulation Period. It will occur like the slow rolling together of a scroll, such that by the end of the Tribulation Period a continuous cloud band of smoke will completely engulf the earth in the lower section of the stratosphere. No one will be able to see the sun, moon, or stars through the thick shroud at the Battle of Armageddon. It is through the great stratospheric cloud shown in figure 14 that the author believes the Lord shall return at the end of the Tribulation Period.

PREVIEW OF COMING TRIBULATION HORRORS

The Great Sumatra-Andaman Earthquake & Tsunami!

Some 27 years ago I began a lectures series titled “A Geological Exposition of the Second Coming of Christ.” In that series I exposited on a wide variety of Scriptures describing the geological topographical changes in the crust of the earth, both horizontal and vertical, and the resultant affects it would produce on the geomagnetic and geophysical balance of the earth’s axis, as well as its movement in space.

For more than four months, teams of scientists have been evaluating the characteristics and results of the great earth movement that produced the massive killer tsunami on December 26, 2004 in the archipelago of the Malayan East Indies. A correlation with what I have been teaching for 27 years, and the characteristics and results of the great earth movement, will be made in this Update, along with a preview of the same things which will occur many times over during the last three and one-half years of the tribulation period. I have been teaching what follows for 29 years at Dardanelle MBC.

The first earthquake in the book of Revelation occurs on the opening of the sixth seal and begins the last three and one-half years of great tribulation with the initial movement of the earth’s massive tectonic structure.

Revelation 6:12A – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake;

Revelation 6:14B – And every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

The last earthquake in the book of Revelation occurs on the pouring out of the last vial of wrath, and closes the movement of the earth’s massive tectonic structure.

Revelation 16:18 – And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

Revelation 16:20 – And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

There is no question that all the mountains and islands of this planet are firmly attached to the earth’s surface crust, nor is there any question that the earth’s crust floats and moves in the direction determined by the currents of magma underlying its crust, nor is there any question that the mountains and islands merely ride on top of the crust in the direction of the crust’s movement, nor is there any question that their longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates in microseconds change as they float as plate passengers, nor is there any question that their location coordinates in microseconds have considerably changed over the last 500 years, having fled from their coordinates of 500 years ago, and are no longer found at their old locations. Their 500 year changes in location will be much less than their tribulation movements.

The first great earthquake in Revelation will initiate an accelerated movement of the entire plate structure and, by the time of the last quake in Revelation, there will have been an average worldwide movement of 3 to 5 feet along the borders of the thousands of miles of plate boundaries across the surface of the earth. This will produce thousands of fantastic worldwide earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis along the borders of the tectonic plates for some three and one half years.

Now, let’s compare this claim of 3 to 5 feet worldwide movement with the Malay Archipelago event. Scientists estimated the average slippage along the entire length of the plate boundary was in excess of 16 feet, with some areas moving nearly 50 feet.

The entire length of the fault boundary slippage was almost 800 miles, like a movement along a crack in the earth from Florida to New England.

An earthquake normally lasts less than 30 seconds, but the December 26 earthquake lasted at least 10 minutes, and had a magnitude between 9.0 and 9.3. Aftershocks have raked the area for the last four months. All the phenomena associated with worldwide tectonic plate movements were graphically described by the prophet Isaiah and by Jesus in many of his statements.

Isaiah 29:6 – Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

Luke 21:25,26 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

Some 30 years ago I was taught the principle of isostasy. It has to do with principles governing the geomagnetic and geophysical balance of the earth, and is directly affected by massive weight balance shifts in horizontal and vertical movements of the outer and inner crust.

The earth has experienced more than one mountain building period which produced periods of shift in its isostasy, causing reversals of its magnetic field, and such events as abnormal percussion of its axis, causing a tottering of its axis, and a slight change in its solar orbit. I am convinced this will happen during the last three and one half years of the tribulation period. The single event in the December episode in the earth’s crust in the East Indies will be magnified by a multiplicity of similar events, which will lead to worldwide tectonic chaos. Scientists were amazed that the entire earth vibrated. The ground in Sri Lanka, more than 1000 miles from the earthquake epicenter, moved up and down by almost four inches, and no place on earth escaped movement. It was powerful enough to vibrate the whole planet as much as half an inch. The quake released an amount of energy equal to a 100 giga

ton bomb. A one gigaton bomb releases the energy of a billion tons of TNT, and the power of that energy lasted longer than any quake ever recorded.

I have taught for 29 years that the earth’s outer crust, which now consists of some 27 tectonic plates, varying in size from very small to gigantic, would begin to move on the opening of the sixth seal and, by the time the movement ceased some three and one-half years later, there might be as many as 30 to 35 due to breakage into smaller pieces. And, because of this massive change in isostasy the planet would go out of balance sufficiently to briefly totter on its geomagnetic axis during the tribulation, and there would be a slight change in its elliptical orbit around the sun.

The Old Testament prophetic tribulation Scriptures are indicative of what I have written in the three preceding paragraphs, some of which are as follows.

Haggai 2:6 – For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

Ezekiel 38:19,20 – For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; [20] So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

Isaiah 24:1 – Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

Isaiah 13:13 – Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

Isaiah 24:19,20 – The earth is utterly broken down, the earth

is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. [20] The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.

In Isaiah 24:19, the expression, “clean dissolved,” does not mean the entire earth melted. The literal meaning of the Hebrew word “parar” is “to break in pieces. It was translated as “clean dissolved” in the Authorized Version because any large object broken into smaller pieces would be more difficult to see in its individual smaller pieces than when it was whole. Isaiah 24:19 portrays an earth broken into smaller tectonic pieces of crust by the great excessive movements of the outer crust. Isaiah 19:20 describes the results of this great shifting – the earth will totter slightly in space on its axis as though it had lost its equilibrium like a drunk person. The word translated “cottage” is the Hebrew word “melunah,” which means “hammock.” It pictures a hammock tied between two trees, and pictures the earth swinging slightly in space like a man dozing in a hammock. Because of a great redistribution of weight in the earth’s upper crust, the earth may undergo a reversal of its geomagnetic poles. The close of verse 20 advises it will never be found exactly as it was before the great shaking occurred.

I believe the Lord means just what he said in Matthew and Daniel concerning the tribulation period.

Matthew 24:21,22 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

Daniel 12:1 – And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Nahum 1:6 – Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by him.

And many New Testament Scriptures are companion in character to previously listed Old Testament prophecies of the coming terrible events of the tribulation period. Once the tectonic plates begin to shift on a worldwide basis, it will eventually build a cloud shroud around the earth in the stratosphere, as the smoke from thousands of volcanic eruptions is blown upward through the vast tropopause inversion layer. This movement of tectonic plates will send hail, fire, and brimstone down upon the earth in a fantastic display of graphic horror never seen before by man on a worldwide scale – just a few of these Scriptures follow.

Revelation 6:15 – And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Revelation 8:5B – And there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Revelation 11:13A – And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand:

Malachi 4:1 – For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Revelation 8:7 – The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up,

and all green grass was burnt up.

Revelation 8:12 – And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

Revelation 9:2 – And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.

Joel 3:15 – The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

Joel 3:13,14 – Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. [14] Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley

of decision.

Jude 1:14,15 – And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, [15] To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

Zechariah 14:4 – And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Zechariah 13:8,9 – And it shall come to pass

, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

[9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

Malachi 4:2 – But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Acts 2:20,21 – The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: [21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 10:13 – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:17 – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Romans 10:9,10 – That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Earth’s Groaning and Travailing Will Soon Accelerate!

I have been consistent from my first book to the last in the insistence that there would be an increase in natural disasters in advance of the tribulation period, and that the increase would show a massive acceleration across the earth following the first great earthquake found in Revelation 6:12, which begins the last 1260 days of the tribulation period.

Revelation 6:12 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

In my last book of the early eighties, “Tribulation Birth Pangs from the Bottomless Pit,” I titled chapter 1, “The Birth Pangs”, and began it as follows:

BEGIN QUOTE FROM CHAPTER 1

Romans 8:19,22 – For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons

of God.

[22] For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

Before the sons of God appear in glorious manifestation on the millennial earth, there is to be a groaning of God’s creation, and the earth will travail like a woman experiencing birth pangs. Birth pangs were occasionally felt in the earth’s crust by seismic shakings during the time of Paul’s writings, but Matthew indicated they would increase noticeably, even before the tribulation period, in a period of time identified as “the beginning of sorrows.”

Matthew 24:7,8 – For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Please allow me to continue discussing this acceleration of groaning by a crust that has been producing great groaning sounds for a very long time as its plates slid by one another to produce earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunami.

Romans 8:22 – For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

The word translated “creation” is “ktisis,” which means “all that which was created,” and, in this context, refers to all that God created, including the earth, all that is on it and in it.

The last massive groaning and travail in pain by earth occurred when man had reached such a state of utter degradation in ungodly immorality that God deemed it necessary to bring judgment on the human race, and he did it by using his creation, the earth, to bring it to pass.

God used his earth to destroy man who dwelt on it – He destroyed man with the earth.

Genesis 6:5,13 – And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. [13] And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I WILL DESTROY THEM WITH THE EARTH.

My comments on this verse, which I placed in “The Key of the Bottomless Pit,” more than 25 years ago, and the one which follows it, are quoted from an extract from the book as follows: (Begin Quote from Book)

“We are told repeatedly in the New Testament, “as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the Son of man.” Please recall the magnitude of this first great tribulation in which only eight people survived, the rest being destroyed by water.

Please observe in verse 13 that God, not man, did the destroying (I will destroy); and please note it was not done with man’s help or technology (with the earth). God used his own natural creation to destroy sinful mankind with water. How did God being it to pass? The answer is found in Genesis 7:11,12.

Genesis 7:11,12 – In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep BROKEN UP, and the windows of heaven were opened. [12] And the rain was upon the earth forty days and

forty nights.

Most biblical references of today positively identify the “great deep” of verse 11 as the crustal surface of the earth that underlies the seas and oceans of the world. May I remind you that God created the crust of the earth long ago and is able to manipulate it as he pleases. Virtually all references identify “windows of heaven” as the atmosphere of the earth, which was also a previous creation of God. So God took two things he has already created and manipulated them to bring forth water from above and below to destroy sinful mankind.

In the approaching Great Tribulation Period, God will once again manipulate the crust and its atmosphere to bring forth not water, but rather fire from below and from above. During the pages that follow, I will show that God intends to shake the earth to its geological foundations by his great power, and the results of that shaking will be the fulfillment of most of the destructive prophecies uttered by the revelator John and the Old Testament prophets concerning the last years of this age.” (End Quote from Book)

The soon coming tribulation period will see the greatest groaning and travail of the earth that has ever occurred since God placed man upon it.

Matthew 24:21 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Revelation 16:18 – And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.

Romans 8:22,19 – For we know that the whole creation (ktisis) groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. [19] For the earnest expectation of the creature (ktisis) waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

The same Greek word, “ktisis” is used for “creation” and “creature.” In context it refers to all the things God created except man, and it is mankind that the rest of his creation is waiting to see manifested in glorified form, children of God in glorified bodies when Christ brings them back to earth at his Second Advent. The greatest massive groaning and travailing of the earth will occur during the last 1260 days of the tribulation period, which will be ended by the return of the saved to the earth at the Second Advent of Jesus. The massive local groaning and travailing of the earth’s crust that produced the tsunami in the East Indies is a forerunner of what we can expect on a worldwide basis during the great tribulation period. We have not yet entered into the tribulation period, but I do believe our entrance is just around the corner, not in the distant future.

The most important thing for a child of God is not to know WHEN it will occur, but to be ready now for its sudden arrival. A child of God should want to have great rewards with Christ at his Second Advent. One surely needs to be in one of the Lord’s churches, and to be member who is watching for Christ’s coming in his lifestyle and work for Christ, as Jesus indicates in his warning to the church at Sardis. Men and women are not saved by their baptism, church membership, or works, but such things determine what you wear on the glorified body, and where you live relative to where the Lord positions himself in the millennium on this earth, and in the final kingdom on the new earth. I am saved eternally by grace through faith, but make no mistake, as one who is assured of living in heaven, I would be a spiritual fool if I did not follow my master’s example. He walked some 50 miles to be baptized by the proper authority, and, as the head and foundation of the first church, was faithful to death. Works by saved men and women determine what they wear and where they live after they have already arrived in heaven. You will not lose your inner garment, but you can lose your robe and your crown if you sow to the flesh rather than to the Spirit, who indwells you and tries to lead your saved soul in good works.

Ephesians 4:30 – And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Galatians 6:7 – Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

John warned the churches at Sardis and Philadelphia that lifestyles of individual church members would be manifested by the outer appearance of what they would be wearing one day in heaven.

Revelation 3:2-4 – Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. [3] Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. [4] Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

Revelation 3:11 – Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

His warning to the church at Laodicea is also for the entire church and the individual members of it. Most of the Lord’s churches today are in the spiritual condition of the

church at Laodicea.

Revelation 3:14-22 – And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; [15] I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. [16] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. [17] Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: [18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. [19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. [20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. [21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. [22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Faithfulness in one of the Lord’s local churches will be manifested by the outer apparel he or she wears forever in heaven. Hopefully, this horrible tsunami in the East Indies may wake up some spiritually sleeping members to a more zealous service to God before the really great tsunamis of the tribulation period begin. Please take a look at the following Scriptures and ask yourself: How glorious will I appear in heaven?

An Exposition of Haggai 2:6-9

Haggai was the first prophet in Jerusalem after the return from Babylonian captivity. The prophecy is dated in the year 520 BC.

The current situation in the Middle East, the unstable world economy, the increase in earthquake and volcanic related phenomena, the rapidly declining morality on a worldwide basis, the ever increasing attack on the Bible and its validity, the attempt to remove anything which could be associated with God from public places, and a falling away from the truths once delivered to the first New Testament churches, has convinced me Haggai’s prophecy in Haggai 2:6-9 will soon be fulfilled. Soon the BRANCH, the root, the rod out of David, the man who is the Son of God, Jesus Christ will return to build the temple of Ezekiel 40 to 48.

HAGGAI 2:6 – For thus saith the Lord of hosts;

Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

Isaiah 29:6 – Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

Malachi 4:1 – For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Matthew 24:21 – For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

[27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [28] And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Daniel 7:13,14 – I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

[14] And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

[7B] “And I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of Hosts.”

Zechariah 6:12,13 – And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the Lord: [13] Even he shall build the temple of the Lord; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.

He will sit on the throne of David as both eternal Ruler and eternal High Priest, thereby combining the two offices that existed in the Old Testament structure of Israel, and he will rule over all the earth.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Christ is the sign that will be set among the nations of the earth at his Second Advent, and they will fill the millennial temple with glory by their obedience and the return of all Israelis to their homeland by whatever is left for transportation after the destruction of the great tribulation period.

Isaiah 66:19-21 – And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. [20] And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the Lord out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the Lord, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord. [21] And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the Lord.

HAGGAI 2:8 – The silver is mine, and the gold is

mine, saith the Lord of hosts.

The riches of the Gentile nations will pour into Israel for the 1000 years of his reign. Israel’s priesthood will be reestablished. Delegations from all nations will come to Jerusalem to worship at the feast of tabernacles.

Zechariah 14:14 – And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

Isaiah 61:6 – But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

Zechariah 14:16 – And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

HAGGAI 2:9 – The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

[9A] “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts.”

The instructions for the building of this great millennial temple are contained in Ezekiel 40 to 43, and Messiah’s entrance, after its completion, is predicted in Ezekiel 43.

Ezekiel 43:1-7 – Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east: [2] And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. [3] And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. [4] And the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. [5] So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. [6] And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me. [7] And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their k

ings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.

[9B] “And in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of Hosts.”

It will amount to a peace of a thousand years to Israel and all the Gentile nations. Israel will be a blessing to all the Gentile nations.

Isaiah 66:12-14 – For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. [13] As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. [14] And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of

the Lord shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

It would be wise for all believers to worship him today in one of his local churches before his second coming!

I Timothy 3:15 – But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest TO BEHAVE thyself in THE HOUSE OF GOD, WHICH IS THE CHURCH

OF THE LIVING GOD, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Ephesians 3:21 – Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.

CHAPTER 3 – “BIRTH PANGS FROM THE BOTTOMLESS PIT”

Extracted From Book Written In The Late Seventies

Daniel 12:4 – But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

God advises us through Daniel that a particular circumstance will occur “at the time of the end,” specifically that “many shall run to and fro,” and, as a result, man’s “knowledge shall be increased.” Man, in his running to and fro, both across the earth and in space, did, in the twentieth century, accrue more knowledge about the earth than he grasped in the thousands of years from Adam’s creation until the beginning of that century. The data from hundreds of satellite eyes in space, used in spectrographic color analysis of the earth’s crust, has been allied with seismological data by a worldwide linkage of computer technology to allow man to discover an endless array of facts about the external and internal structure of the earth. Within the last thirty years man has more than doubled his factual knowledge of the exterior and interior of the earth, yet he has barely scratched the thin outer veneer of the unlimited knowledge of God, as prophesied by Daniel. This “time of the end” knowledge has begun to unseal many of the prophecies, and to open the “shut up” words of latter day events.

Today, when you look at the tectonic plate structure, found in countless numbers of books, you see thousands of miles of l

ines between tectonic plates, which represent cracks in the earth that weave their way erratically down through the earth, eventually making contact with great underground lakes of red-hot melted rock called magma. These geological faults are not the figment of scientific imagination. They are no longer based on theory or hypothesis. They have, within the past hundred years, advanced from hypothesis to theory to fact. They are tremendous cracks in the crust of the earth that have the full potential to fulfill many of the terrifying events in the book of Revelation. Because these deep geological faults interconnect, they have separated the outer surface of the earth into vast chunks of crust called tectonic plates. These plates are usually named for the geographical area that lies atop them, and they are responsible for the earthquake and volcanic activity in these areas. Just as a ship floats on water, so do these vast pieces of the earth’s crust float on deep oceans of hot liquid rock. They float in slightly different to opposite directions at differing speeds. Movement is perh aps only

a few centimeters every year in some zones, but can be several per year in some places, and, at times, can suddenly move several feet in a local area. They move to produce over ninety-five percent of the world’s earthquake activity, as well as more than ninety percent of the world’s volcanic activity. Seismic topography, along with horizontal surface and vertical satellite laser beam measurements, has now proven without question that the plates exist and move to produce most of the world’s earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. As the plates of the earth press against one another horizontal and vertical tectonic pressures often freeze vast zones together.

As the plates strain against one another in titanic combat something finally snaps, and they break free in a local area. This abrupt loosing produces the massive vibrations we identify as an earthquake.

The Lord indicated “and great earthquakes shall be in divers places” in the last days. Man, in his running “to and fro,” has now gained the increase in knowledge to understand how earthquakes and volcanoes are produced by God’s creation. The same Christ, who uttered “and great earthquakes shall be in divers places,” already knew what man was to discover more than 1900 years later. The prophecy, “and knowledge shall be increased,” was fulfilled in the last century.

The Holy Spirit, who inspired these words of Daniel and all the other prophets, will use his prior creation, the earth, to fulfill these prophecies of earthquake, fire, and brimstone, and he will do it by his own power.

The horrifying scenes of destruction and chaos presented by John in the book of Revelation, and by the Old Testament writers are largely descriptive of a tremendous geological upheaval of the crust of the earth by the power of its Creator.

Earth’s Groaning and Travailing Will Soon Accelerate!

I have been consistent from my first book to the last in the insistence that there would be an increase in natural disasters in advance of the tribulation period, and that the increase would show a massive acceleration across the earth following the first great earthquake found in Revelation 6:12, which begins the last 1260 days of the tribulation period.

Revelation 6:12 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

In my last book of the early eighties, “Tribulation Birth Pangs from the Bottomless Pit,” I titled chapter 1, “The Birth Pangs”, and began it as follows:

Birth pangs were occasionally felt in the earth’s crust by seismic shakings during the time of Paul’s writings, but Matthew indicated they would increase noticeably, even before the tribulation period, in a period of time identified as “the beginning of sorrows.”

Matthew 24:7,8 – For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Please allow me to continue discussing this acceleration of groaning by a crust that has been producing great groaning sounds for a very long time as its plates slid by one another to produce earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunami.

The word translated “creation” is “ktisis,” which means “all that which was created,” and, in this context, refers to all that God created, including the earth, all that is on it and in it.

The last massive groaning and travail in pain by earth occurred when man had reached such a state of utter degradation in ungodly immorality that God deemed it necessary to bring judgment on the human race, and he did it by using his creation, the earth, to bring it to pass.

God used his earth to destroy man who dwelt on it – He destroyed man with the earth.

Genesis 6:5,13 – And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. [13] And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I WILL DESTROY THEM WITH THE EARTH.

Galatians 6:7 – Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

John warned the churches at Sardis and Philadelphia that lifestyles of individual church members would be manifested by the outer appearance of what they would be wearing one day in heaven.

Revelation 3:2-4 – Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect be

fore God. [3] Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. [4] Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

Revelation 3:11 – Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast,

that no man take thy crown.

His warning to the church at Laodicea is also for the entire church and the individual members of it.

Most of the Lord’s churches today are in the spiritual condition of the church at Laodicea.

Revelation 3:14-22 – And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; [15] I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. [16] So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. [17] Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: [18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. [19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. [20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and

will sup with him, and he with me. [21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. [22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Faithfulness in one of the Lord’s local churches will be manifested by the outer apparel he or she wears forever in heaven. Hopefully, this horrible tsunami in the East Indies may wake up some spiritually sleeping members to a more zealous service to God before the really great tsunamis of the tribulation period begin. Please take a look at the following Scriptures and ask yourself: How glorious will I appear in heaven?

Romans 8:22,19 – For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. [19] For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

I John 3:2 – Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

I Corinthians 15:38 – But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

I Corinthians 15:41,42 – There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. [42] So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

I Corinthians 15:49 – And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

I Corinthians 15:51,52 – Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Daniel 12:3 – And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

The Big Pacific Earthquake is Not the End of the Gentile Age,

Nor is it the Beginning of the 3 and ½ Years of Tribulation,

But it is a preview of the future 3 and ½ years of Chaos,

That I Do Believe Is Likely To Begin Prior To Year 2015.

The Waves Associated With THIS Particular Tsunami,

When its Compared with tribulation period Quakes,

Will be like the Wave Created by a Lake Raindrop.

Japan Earthquake 2011: 8.9 Magnitude Earthquake Hits, 13-Foot Tsunami Triggered

TOKYO – A powerful tsunami spawned by the largest earthquake in Japan’s recorded history slammed the eastern coast Friday, sweeping away boats, cars, homes and people as widespread fires burned out of control. Authorities said at least 32 people were killed.

The magnitude 8.9 offshore quake was followed by at least 19 aftershocks, most of them of more than magnitude 6.0. Dozens of cities and villages along a 1,300-mile (2,100-kilometer) stretch of coastline were shaken by violent tremors that reached as far away as Tokyo, hundreds of miles (kilometers) from the epicenter.

A utility company in northeastern Japan reported a fire in a turbine building of nuclear power plant. A tsunami warning was issued for the entire Pacific, including areas as far away as South America, the entire U.S. West Coast, Canada and Alaska.

Japan’s Fire and Disaster Management Agency said at least 32 people were killed.

“The earthquake has caused major damage in broad areas in northern Japan,” Prime Minister Naoto Kan said at a news conference.

Even for a country used to earthquakes, this one was of horrific proportions. It unleashed a 23-foot (7-meter) tsunami that swept boats, cars, buildings and tons of debris miles inland.

The current seismological activity in the Pacific takes me back to the mid-seventies when I wrote my first book, “Tectonic Chaos.” I believe the events of massive tectonic destruction, which I predicted would be occurring across the surface of the earth during the tribulation period, are poised on the immediate horizon of world events to begin. I cannot predict the exact time it will suddenly begin, but I know it cannot be a distant event in the “far off sweet forever, far beyond the shinning river.”

I have contended for more than thirty-five years that God will move the world’s massive tectonic plate structure approximately one to two feet during the last three and one-half years of the Tribulation Period. It is this destroying with the earth that will create the horrifying scenes described in Isaiah 29:6 and Luke 21:25.

Isaiah 29:6 – Thou shalt be vi sited

of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire,

Luke 21:25 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring,

In Luke 21:25 the word translated wave is saiou, which means a particular type of wave. It means a wave that breaks on the shoreline, a wave of the surf. The nations of the world will be in great perplexity because of the roaring sound of the sea and surf. It is this phenomenon of sea and surf that will destroy one-third of the world’s shipping.

Unbelievably violent earthquake and volcanic activity will be occurring along thousands of miles of tectonic boundaries on the ocean and sea floors during the last half of the Tribulation Period. If I am correct about the earthquake and volcanic activity along these cracks, then I am positive that what I am about to describe will definitely occur.

There are many types of waves that exist on the ocean sur¬face. The most common being those induced by the winds and tides of the earth.

But the most horrifying of all waves that pound the shorelines of the world is not produced by wind or tide; it is the unbelievable tsunami produced by earthquake and volcanic eruption on the seafloor.

The tsunami is not a “tidal wave. Tsunamis are caused by undersea earthquakes or volcanoes and have killed millions of people down through the ages. Tsunami is the Japanese word for “storm wave.” The Alaska earthquake of 1964 produced the tsunami wave pattern shown in figure 6. As you can observe from the figure, it only took the tsunami four hours to move from the epicenter to Hawaii.

Tsunami travel as fast as some jet aircraft. Tsunami can now be predicted so that appalling death tolls of yesteryear can be avoided. A network of seismic warning stations now functions across the Pacific Ocean to give early warning of an approaching tsunami.

A tsunami is generated when an undersea earthquake or volcanic eruption causes a sudden downward movement of an earth block.

The downward displacement of water above the block produces not a surface wave, but rather a wave which moves horizontally outward through the water from the bottom to the top. Tsunami cross the ocean as long low waves which seagoing vessels may not even notice. But as the tsunami approaches the shoreline the energy of the wave is con¬fined in shallower and shallower water. Tsunami have been known to rise to heights in excess of two hundred fifty feet. When a tsunami crashes against a coastline it destroys everything in its path, often up to half a mile inland.

Shipping on the open sea is virtually unaffected by a tsunami, but woe unto the ship that is caught in port. There is not a ship built which can withstand the force of a full blown tsunami as it roars into port.

In one day the old city of Lisbon and all the ships in port were destroyed by a wall of water that washed half a mile inland. During the last three and one-half years of the Tribulation Period most of the coastal cities of the world and the ships in port will be completely destroyed by tsunami after tsunami. This is what will produce much of the distress and perplexity among the nations of the world. Now, how does all this fit in with Revelation 8:9 regarding John’s statement: “and the third part of the ships were destroyed?”

At any given time approximately two-thirds of the world’s shipping is “under way” on the open sea, and one-third is in port or dry dock. The two-thirds on the open sea will be spared, and the one-third in port will be destroyed by tsunami during the sounding of the second trumpet.

The following Scriptures leave little doubt that God has con¬trol of the sea and the destructive forces of its waves. Those who “do business in great waters” will lose one-third of their busi¬ness on the sounding of the second trump.

Psalm 89:9 – Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them,

Isaiah 51:15 – But I am the Lord thy God, that divided the sea, whose waves roared: The Lord of hosts is his name,

Psalm 107:23-25 – They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep. For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof,

The earth is God’s creation and all the things thereof. God does not need man’s weaponry or technology to fulfill His prophecies. God has already made all the elements necessary to destroy man, and He has molded them into forms, shapes, com¬pounds and processes capable of fulfilling His revelation of end-time events. I know that a great war will occur.

Many men will die in that war. Bullets and other weaponry will kill many of them; but that will be only a few compared to the earthquake, fire and brimstone toll exacted by the force of Almighty God upon sinful mankind. For too long biblical expositors have been concentrating on a single tree (man’s weaponry and technology) as the fulfillment of Revelation prophecies.

In so doing, they have overlooked the forest of God’s creation, the earth’s natural destructive forces.

Man will not destroy himself in a nuclear holocaust of his own making. If you desire to be frightened by such a possibili¬ty, be my guest and join the crowd. I do not fear the nations of the world with their thermonuclear arsenals.
