THE ISLAMIC ANTICHRIST IS NOT TOO FAR AWAY!

Iran’s current President is a “died in the wool” religious Islamic fanatic from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. The Apostle Paul was a “Hebrew of the Hebrews,” and President Ahmadinejad is truly a “Shiite of the Shiites.” He is locked in combat with the old conservative heads. They have run Iran since the revolution that overthrew the Shah of

Iran. He is trying to slip new leaders and departments into his new government. He is trying to get younger key members of the extremists from his Revolutionary Guard into top positions of power, putting out the old leaders who have held power for so long over all governmental decisions. It appears he has another revolution in mind, one in which he has absolute power to form a very radical Islamic Republic to replace the current conservative one.

I truly believe the religious extremism in the fanatical Shiite beliefs among their literal interpreters is going to unveil the antichrist among them. Both the Sunni and Shiite sects of the Muslim faith believe in a coming Al-Mahdi, which we would relate to by our looking forward to the return of our Messiah Jesus Christ.

The major difference between the two sects of Sunni and Shiite, concerning the coming of their Messiah, the Al-Mahdi, it that the Sunni believe he is yet to be born, while the Shiites believe he has been hiding in a cave for some 1,100 years, but will soon come out to rule all Islam as the 12th Imam.

Many of the local Imams across Iran and Iraq are preaching his coming is very soon, and a fever for his arrival is growing.

The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is a Shiite religious literalist, who believes in the imminent return of the 12th Imam. His segment of the Shiite faith believes the 12th Imam went into hiding in the 9th century. The Sunni sect of Islam believes the Al-Mahdi, who is to arise and lead Islam to rule the world and establish a one-world Islamic religion, will be an ordinary man, born to an ordinary woman, and will live an ordinary life with the people of his time. But the Shiites under the same persuasion of their current President, believe that soon the 12th Imam, who disappeared mysteriously in the 9th century, will suddenly appear to lead the Shiites to victory over all enemies starting with the hypocrite mullahs and ending with the Jews.

In the Shiite theology, believing in the Imams is the cornerstone of their faith. They believe the 12th Imam has been living in a cave for more than ten centuries, and that he will suddenly surface from his hiding place as their Mahdi, their Messiah, and will meet Jesus, the Son of Mary. They believe Jesus, the Prophet of Allah, will be second in command in that he will pray behind Al-Mahdi. They believe Allah will give their Al-Mahdi the ability to rule all Muslim nations with righteousness in the span of a night.

In the Shiite theology of the religious followers of the current President of Iran, the 12th Imam is still the sole source of legitimate power on the earth.

ing to be the 12th Imam. He will declare himself to have returned with the power of

Allah but in reality, he will be the antichrist. Islamic writers indicate the signs in the next paragraph will precede the 12th Imam.

There are many signs that will precede him, a very important sign is that he will come at a time when there is great confutation, intense disputing, and violent deaths – when people are experiencing great fear. Calamities will fall upon people, so much that a man shall not find a shelter to shelter him self from oppression. There will be battles and conflicts before his appearance. The people will be troubled to such an extent that they will long for death.

It is then that Imam will arise. The messenger of Allah said he will be sent at a time of intense disputes and differences among people amidst widespread earthquakes.

I believe the Islamic Al Mahdi is represented by bleeding Head 7 on the Revelation 13:1-3 Beast and the resurrected healed head on the Revelation 17:10-13 Beast. And I believe the one Muslims identify as Jesus Christ will be as phony as a three dollar bill, who in reality will be the False Prophet of Revelation 13:11-14 who, like Jesus, is able to perform miracles.

Revelation 13:1-3 – And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. [2] And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. [3] And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

Shiite-led revolt awakens Bahrain Sunnis

Bahrain’s Sunni minority has shed its reputation of steering clear of politics to emerge from the Shiite-led unrest as a community determined to preserve its stake in the Gulf state.

The pro-democracy uprising which erupted on February 14 after Arab revolts in Tunisia and Egypt toppled their long-serving strongmen was crushed on the streets of the Sunni-ruled kingdom’s capital last week.

But the threat of angry Shiites, who make up

the majority, to bring down their Al-Khalifa rulers has put the Sunnis on the defensive and renewed their allegiance to the dynasty.

“There was a threat to the very existence of the Sunnis,” said prominent cleric Sheikh Abdullatif al-Mahmud, who whipped up Sunni opposition to the month-long uprising.

The cleric, who heads a newly formed National Unity Assembly (NUA), toured Sunni areas to hear the community’s grievances.

“There were (Shiite) calls to copy the model of Iraq. This is what agitated the Sunnis,” Mahmud said, in reference to the majority Shiites’ dominance in Iraq since the 2003 overthrow of president Saddam Hussein.

“The Sunnis have not become more sectarian. But the truth is that the Sunnis were shocked by the fanaticism expressed by most Shiites,” he said.

Bahrain Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmad al-Khalifa warned in predominantly Sunni Turkey on Tuesday that the situation in Bahrain had turned “very dangerous.”

He voiced fears of a “division between religious communities.”

Although the Sunnis would support many of the mainstream opposition’s political demands, more radical Shiite elements stepped up demands to call for the overthrow of

the monarchy.

“The opposition has adopted an aggressive approach,” he said.

The Shiites, however, insist on their Arab identity and that their links to their non-Arab neighbours in the Islamic republic across the Gulf waterway are based purely on religion.

“After February 14, the Sunnis suddenly found themselves facing a looming sectarian oppression if the regime were to be toppled and Shiites took over,” said Abdullah Hashem, a member of the hastily created NUA.

The opposition has long demanded constitutional reforms; mainly for the prime minister to be elected. But many protesters raised the stakes, calling for the kingdom to be turned into a republic.

“Today, radicalisation prevails across the Sunni community, from liberals to Islamists,” Hashem said.

He said the Sunnis wanted to establish a political movement, after the protest movement — unprecedented in the conservative Arab states of the oil-rich Gulf — had shown the Shiites to be highly organised.

The Al-Khalifa family had for decades “marginalised” Bahrain’s Sunnis, according to Hashem.

“The regime always felt that the danger would come from the Sunni side not the Shiites,” he said, referring to waves of Arab nationalism which threatened the Gulf monarchies in the 1950s and 1960s.

The Al-Khalifa dynasty, who has ruled Bahrain for more than 200 years, had Sunni anger on its side when it crushed the uprising, backed by a joint force from fellow Sunni monarchies in the Gulf.

When the protest spread from its Pearl Square camp to the central business district of Manama in the absence of police, Sunnis formed local vigilante groups.

“As police were not able to provide security, local committees were formed to protect the street,” Mahmud said.

Following reports of sectarian incidents in mixed neighbourhoods and at Bahrain University, Shiites said thugs backed by security forces were at fault; Sunnis pinned the blame on Shiite gangs bussed in to attack Sunni students.

“Sunnis are not sectarian, but the other side is. Sunnis found themselves forced to defend their very existence. We hope we will overcome this phase, but the shock is not that easy to forget,” Mahmud said.

Opposition member Matar Matar, one of 18 Shiite MPs who resigned last month in protest at police violence, acknowledged Sunni concerns but insisted they were “hugely inflated” by the authorities.

“I cannot believe that most Sunnis were in favour of the bloody action that the government chose to end the protest” at a cost of at least 15 lives, he said. Many Sunnis had backed Shiite demands for reform, he added.

“The Bahraini people want to take some power away from the ruling family.

Instead of saying clearly that they do not want to give up power, the ruling family claims it’s the Sunnis who are the ones who refuse,” he said.

Hashem agreed reforms were essential. “We want to reach solutions that are accepted by all. We have an agenda that is similar to that of our Shiite brothers,” he said.

The uprising in Syria is following a familiar pattern: Brute force against peaceful protesters, a media blackout, the active use of Facebook and Twitter Internet social networking and YouTube video footage to get the word out, and accusations by the government that it is the protesters who are foreigners, and who are shooting mercilessly at security forces trying to maintain order.

Contrary to analysts’ estimates that Syrian President Bashar Assad’s grip on the country was too strong for protesters to overcome, the “wall of fear” has been broken,

and activists are calling for a nationwide strike to protest the murder of demonstrators.

As mobile phones and YouTube videos begin to reach the outside world, evidence is piling up that Syria, like Egypt and Libya, is covering up mass murders,

theTelegraph reported.

One picture showed Syrian forces using machine guns to kill unarmed protesters in Dera’a, who clearly are marching peacefully.

The demonstrations have reached the capital of Damascus, and the brute force has not stopped thousands of people who continue to rally.

SANA, Syria’s government news agency, insists that the rallies in Dera’a actually were to show support for “Assad’s generous decrees and decisions” and protest “the conspiracy against Syria.” It quoted Assad’s media advisor Dr. Bouthaina Sha’aban as saying that there is a sedition scheme against Syria.

Despite government propaganda that protesters are the criminals and that the security forces are the victims, one Syrian activist told the Telegraph by email, “The fear barrier has been broken. We are not scared any more.

There is nothing more they can do to us, and it is this knowledge that is our greatest weapon.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s ally in Venezuela, President Hugo Chavez, has called Assad a “humanist” and a “brother.” Chavez accused the United States of exaggerating the extent of the government crackdown against protesters in order to pave the way for military intervention, similar to the Western force acting against Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi.

“How cynical is the new format the [American] empire has invented, to generate violent conflict, generate blood in a country, to later bombard it, intervene and take over its natural resources and convert it into a colony,” Chavez reportedly said.

At least for the time being, however, U.S. President Barack Obama is not in a hurry to do anything except denounce the violent suppression in Syria.

U.S. MILITARY INSTALLATIONS AT BAHRAIN MAKES IT MUCH MORE VALUABLE TO OUR MIDDLE EAST INTERESTS THAN LIBYA.

The different beliefs on the Islamic versions of their Messiah the Mahdi, between the clay and iron Sunni and Shiite Muslims, have contributed to many bloody conflicts in the Middle East between them.

Since achieving independence in 1971, Bahrain has pursued a policy of close consultation with neighboring states. Bahrain became a member of the United Nations and the Arab League in 1971. In 1981 it joined its five neighbors–Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, the U.A.E. and Qatar–to form the strategic Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Bahrain has complied with GCC efforts steps to coordinate economic development and defense and security planning. In December 1994, for example, Bahrain concurred with the GCC decision to drop secondary and tertiary boycotts against Israel. Bahrain also responded positively to Kuwait’s request to deploy the GCC collective defense force, “Peninsula Shield,” during the buildup and execution of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) in 2003.

In addition to maintaining strong relations with its largest financial backers, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the U.A.E., Bahrain has worked to improve its relations with Qatar and has proper, but not warm, relations with Iran. Bahrain-Iran relations have been strained since the discovery in 1981 of an Iran-sponsored coup plot in Bahrain.

Bahraini suspicions of the Iranian role in local unrest in the mid-1990s remain. On March 16, 2001, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) announced its judgment on the long-standing maritime delimitation and territorial dispute between Bahrain and Qatar. The binding judgment awarded sovereignty over the Hawar Islands and Qit’at Jaradah to Bahrain and sovereignty over Zubarah (part of the Qatar Peninsula), Janan Island and Fasht ad Dibal to Qatar. The peaceful settlement of this dispute has allowed for renewed co-operation, including plans to construct a causeway between the two countries.

Bahrain’s strategic partnership with the U.S. has intensified since 1991. Bahraini pilots flew strikes in Iraq during the 1991 Gulf War, and the country was used as a base for military operations in the Gulf.

Bahrain also provided logistical and basing support to international Maritime Interdiction efforts to enforce UN sanctions and prevent illegal smuggling of oil from Iraq in the 1990s. Bahrain also provided extensive basing and overflight clearances for a multitude of U.S. aircraft operating in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Bahra in also deployed forces

in support of coalition operations during both OEF and OIF. Bahrain has delivered humanitarian support and technical training to support the reconstruction of the Iraqi banking sector, and has offered support for each stage of Iraq’s political transformation. Bahrain has also cooperated effectively on criminal investigation issues in support of the campaign on terrorism; the Bahrain Monetary Agency (which became the Central Bank of Bahrain in September 2006) moved quickly to restrict terrorists’ ability to transfer funds through Bahrain’s financial system. In October 2006, Bahrain joined the U.S. and 23 other countries in a Proliferation Security Initiative interdiction exercise in the Persian Gulf.

The American Mission Hospital, affiliated with the National Evangelical Church, has operated continuously in Bahrain for more than a century. Bahrain has also been a base for U.S. naval activity in the Gulf since 1947. When Bahrain became independent, the U.S.-Bahrain relationship was formalized with the establishment of diplomatic relations. The U.S. embassy at Manama was opened September 21, 1971, and a resident ambassador was sent in 1974. The Bahra ini embassy

in Washington, DC, opened in 1977. In October 1991, Amir Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa made a state visit to Washington.

In 2001, Amir Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa made his first visit to the U.S. after succeeding his father in 1999. He returned to Washington on an official visit in January 2003. King Hamad made an official visit to Washington in November 2004 to meet with President George W. Bush and cabinet-level officials. In January 2008, President Bush made the first visit by a sitting President to Bahrain.

King Hamad visited Washington in March 2008.

Bahrain and the United States signed a Defense Cooperation Agreement in October 1991 granting U.S. forces access to Bahraini facilities and ensuring the right to pre-position material for future crises.

Bahrain is the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet. The U.S. designated Bahrain a Major Non-NATO Ally in October 2001. Bahrain and the United States signed a Free Trade Agreement in 2004.

Shiite Bahraini Cleric to Demonstrators: Our Revolution Will Lead to a State of the Mahdi

Following are excerpts from a Shiite Bahraini cleric delivering a speech before demonstrators, which aired on the Internet on March 18, 2011:

Bahraini cleric: There are two matters in our Bahrain that I cannot explain. The first matter is the growing stupidity, which is gnawing the ideology of the Khalifa family down to the marrow. The Arabic language has failed to come up with a term to describe the stupidity of that corrupt family.

You, the people of Bahrain, the sons of Ali and Fatima, are the second thing that cannot be explained. Now, I know full well that you do not really want to topple the regime, because one cannot topple something that has already fallen. What you say is: “Leave!”

Crowds: Leave!

Bahraini cleric: The people want the regime to leave.

Crowds: The people want the regime to leave.

Bahraini cleric: Brothers and sisters, we are standing today at an historic juncture – to be or to cease to be. We do not place our trust in any earthly entity. We place our trust in the promise of Allah.

We are believers, the sons of Karbala, the sons of the blood of Hussein.

We have learned from the land of blood, the land of martyrdom. Our women are the daughters of Al-Zahra [Fatima] and Zaynab.

We set out from our faith in the promise of Allah. “Oh believers, if you support Allah, He will support you, and will plant your feet firmly [on the ground].” These events are the only thing that separates us from the state of the Imam. Allah willing, following these events, we will all be under the banner of the justice of the Mahdi.

The big question for the Middle East now is, will other countries follow the path of radical reform of Tunisia and Egypt, and, if so, which ones?

Demonstrations of varying sizes have occurred in Algeria, Bahrain, Iran, Jordan, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen and even Iraq. To gauge the chances of which might be next requires a close look at the grievances and fortitude of the opposition, and at the vigor of the government in power.

For several days the Persian Gulf island kingdom of Bahrain has been in the spotlight. Its future is of special interest since it has been the headquarters of the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet since 1991. The United States has put hundreds of millions of dollars into Bahrain to build facilities for the fleet and has trained and equipped Bahrain’s security forces. Those forces have killed two protesters and so far have not been able to bring under control the thousands in Pearl Square in the capital, Manama.

Several factors are fueling the demonstrations. The basic one is that Bahrain is ruled by a royal dynasty, in power since 1783.

The king has been in charge since 1999; the prime minister is his uncle and has headed the government for 40 years.

In other words, democratic rule is absent.

Second, the population, less than a half-million, is 70 percent Shiite Muslim, but the ruling families are Sunni Muslims. The Shiites claim that discrimination runs against them in every field, including employment. The protesters do not claim to want to overthrow the monarchy, but the reforms they seek would overturn the structure of rule in the country.

Bahrain presents a complicated policy problem for the United States. If America favors the spread of democracy in the region, big changes would be due in Bahrain. There is also the question of the Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters.

The advent of majority rule in Bahrain would mean rule by Shiites, the branch of Islam that governs near-neighbor Iran, Iraq and Lebanon. So far, America’s leaders have urged the king not to let his forces shoot any more demonstrators. But where this will end, no one knows.

Under pressure from events in the southern city of Deraa that are threatening to spiral out of control, President Bashar al-Assad and his Baathist government have come up with a wide range of conciliatory decisions and promises that look good on paper.

The question is how solid they turn out to be, and whether they are in time to head off the kind of uprising that has already unseated two of the region’s long-standing regimes – in Egypt and Tunisia – and that is knocking loudly on the doors of many others.

The first test of the credibility and effectiveness of the new measures will come after noon prayers on Friday, when activists have called for a day of “dignity” to carry the Deraa protests on to the national stage.

As the measures were being announced, government security forces were swamping the streets of Deraa, where by most accounts dozens of people have been shot dead in the past few days.

Scores of other political dissidents, including writers and democracy and internet activists, were also reported to have been arrested by the secret police in Damascus and other Syrian cities and towns.

But Syrian television announced late on Thursday that on President Assad’s orders, all those detained during the recent events had been released.

Opposition circles were initially sceptical about the official decisions, announced by spokeswoman Bouthaina Shaaban after meetings of the ruling Baath Party’s national command, headed by President Assad.

They ended a 36-hour period of near-silence from officials and the state media over the Deraa affair and its fallout, reflecting the fact that much discussion was going on behind the scenes over how to handle the crisis.

The measures announced fell into three categories – steps to placate the people of Deraa; measures aimed at addressing general economic conditions and grievances, and others designed to meet demands for greater political and press freedoms and put an end to corruption.

On Deraa, Ms Shaaban announced the formation of a senior leadership committee to work with the people of the city to find out what happened, and bring to account officials responsible for the crisis or those who fell short in handling it.

She spoke of “dealing with the outcome in line with the legitimate demands of the citizens”.

Earlier, it was announced that President Assad had issued a decree ordering the dismissal of the deeply unpopular Deraa governor, Feisal Kalthoum – one of the protesters’ key demands.

Another decree was issued modifying laws relating to property ownership in border areas, apparently to meet complaints by Deraa people that land could not be bought or sold without going through the local secret police.

Whether these steps succeed in defusing the situation in Deraa will clearly depend on how seriously they are followed up – if it is not already too late.

At the same time as referring to local demands as “legitimate”, Ms Shaaban and the state media have continued to blame “armed gangs” and Israeli intelligence for stirring up the trouble.

But she insisted that President Assad had issued orders for live ammunition not to be used against protesters, and implied that forces on the ground may have flouted instructions.

Clearly aware of the broad range of grievances that have fuelled uprisings throughout the Arab world, the measures included a detailed decree issued by President Assad ordering wage rises of 20-30% for public sector workers and other benefits, including health cover.

But it was in the realms of political freedoms that Ms Shaaban announced decisions that would have brought gasps of disbelief just a few weeks ago.

Bashar Assad Made the Wrong Choice Two Years Ago!

The last two BLOGS have been about the two day “terror summit” just finished in Damascus between the Syrian and Iranian Presidents. The die was cast for this summit almost two years ago.

Bashar Assad made the Wrong Choice Two Years ago as we reported in Special Prophecy Update Number 161C, titled, “Syria Makes a Very Bad Choice!” During the Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s Thursday and Friday visit to Syria, he and Syrian President Bashar Assad formed a “front” to oppose what Ahmadinejad identified as world “arrogance and domination.” Once Assad made his choice two years ago I knew it was all over – there would be no second chance. He is now up a creek and Iran is not a trustworthy paddle.

He made his choice on February 28, 2004 to cast his lot with Iran rather than with the United States. The following excerpts are from Special Prophecy Number 161C.

Syria Makes a Very Bad Choice
I have always believed and taught that the most likely part of the old Roman Empire, which would foster the rise of the Antichrist, would be Syria. Syria has been hanging suspended between two choices: (1) Turn toward the United States in order to avoid sanctions, and to gain support from the western world in a war on terror, or, (2) Turn toward Iran to make an alliance and continue to give support to all the terrorist groups. On February 28 Syria apparently made its choice. The Iranian Defense Minister, Admiral Ali Shamkhani, came to Damascus and signed a new military pact with the Syrian Defense Minister, General Mustufa Tias. I believe this is a clear sign that President Assad has made his choice to put his trust in an Iran-Syria Axis to protect his administration from a coup by terrorist groups in his own country.

President Assad has been active recently in communications with Washington to see what they would give him in the way of security if he should choose to give up sponsoring the many terrorist group offices in Syria, and Hizbollah in Lebanon.

Really, he did not have much of a choice. Had he turned pro-west and resisted the terrorist groups, his regime would have been overthrown in a matter of weeks. Syria’s new military pact with Iran likely contains an Iranian promise to invest in additional long range Scud-C missiles, now in mass production at Syria’s underground missile facility near Hamah.
The United States and Europe wanted Syria to follow Libya’s lead, but Bashar Assad was really in no political position to do so without being overthrown by the terrorist elements in his own country. There were four things the United States wanted Syria to give up.
(1) Scrap your long-range missile program.

(2) Scrap your WMD program.
(3) Drive all the terrorist groups out of Syria.

(4) Stop supporting Hizbollah in Lebanon.
I feel confident it was a choice Bashar Assad simply could not make. Iran and Syria are of the same mind on these four issues.

Had Syria chosen to do those four things, it would have cut Iran’s flow of weaponry and the movement of terrorists to Hizbollah. Syria was left without any military backup with the fall of Iraq, so Assad has chosen to shore up and expand its existing ties with Iran, and create new military ties with them for a joint defense against the west. The strong showing by the radical Shiite hardliners in Iran’s elections last month was a strong element that Assad considered in making his choice. Iranian Shiites will continue to have a direct pipeline via Damascus airport for massive shipments of military hardware to the large Hizbollah terrorist army, which it has supported in southern Lebanon for years, as have the Syrians.

I have taught for 35 years that the final war of the Age of the Gentiles would begin by Syria (King of the North) deliberately having an act performed, which irritated Israel (King of the South) sufficiently to push across the border into Lebanon. And when this occurred Syria, along with Islamic troops from several Islamic nations and terrorist groups, would charge against Israel in a whirlwind counterattack, which would drive Israel into the Negev Wilderness.

Daniel 11:40,41 – And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. Ever since the great ancient wars between the Syrian kings of the north and the Egyptian kings of the south, which began during the days of the breakup of the empire of Alexander the Great, there has been constant struggle for land expansion from Turkey to Egypt.

Until 1920, “Syria” referred to a region much larger than the Syrian Arab Republic of today, a region that stretched from the borders of Anatolia to those of Egypt, from the edge of Iraq to the Mediterranean Sea. In terms of today’s states, the Syria of old comprised Syria, Lebanon, Israel, and Jordan, plus the Gaza Strip and Alexandretta. This larger land, known since 1920 as Greater Syria, is what they dream of reclaiming.

The two Syrian ports, now being utilized by Russian Ships, are located between the northern border of Lebanon and Turkey. This makes it very important for Syria and Hezbollah to control all parts of northern Lebanon, which has always been the location of their major opposition, being the stronghold of anti-Syrian sentiment. As far as Syrian plans are concerned, it is a well known fact that Syria will always consider the small country of Lebanon as “Greater Syria.” Nothing, including the establishment of a Syrian Embassy in Lebanon, will ever change this Syrian belief. Lebanon will be one of the ten horns on the Islamic beast (Daniel 7) when they stream south to attack Israel (King of the South in Daniel 11). I believe this attack is likely to occur at some point in time between 2010 and 2015.

The majority of the Islamic Jihad terrorist fighters of Osama Ben Laden in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan were from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Libya. Out of all the current Middle East conflict will eventually come a united attack against Israel, the only thing most Islamic nations can agree on.

In 2005 I predicted that such an attack was likely to occur to occur at some point in time between 2010 and 2015.

Based on what has happened since 2005, and

what is currently happening, I now believe this attack is very likely to occur at some point in time between 2013 and 2015.

Syria unrest: Activist arrested on fifth day of protest

Protesters have gathered in the southern Syrian town of Deraa for the fifth straight day, after recent clashes that left six people dead.

Unofficial reports said the governor, Faisal Kalthoum, had been sacked.

His dismissal was one of the key demands of demonstrators in Deraa, who have been calling for more political freedom and an end to corruption.

Meanwhile, the authorities arrested a leading campaigner, Louai Hussein, who had supported the protesters.

Mr Hussein, a political prisoner from 1984 to 1991, was taken from his home in the Sehnaya district near Damascus, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said in a statement.

“His house was broken into. The door was smashed. His fate is unknown,” it said.

On Tuesday, hundreds of protesters gathered in Deraa amid tight security to shout slogans against the regime of President Bashar al-Assad.

An AFP photographer and videographer said they were beaten by security forces, who seized their equipment.

Since Friday, the town – home to large tribal families – has been the site of unprecedented protests against Mr Assad’s regime.

onstrations, including an 11-year-old boy who died after inhaling tear gas on Monday.

Although the demonstrators have not demanded the resignation of President Assad, the unrest is the most serious challenge to his rule since he succeeded his father, Hafez, 11 years ago.

The government has sent senior officials to Deraa to try to calm the tensions. It has also released the 15 children whose detention for writing pro-democracy graffiti triggered the first protest on Friday.

The protesters have also demanded the release of political prisoners, the closure of the secret police headquarters in Deraa, and a public trial for those responsible for the killings.

Syria has been ruled under emergency laws for nearly 50 years, and the Baath Party is known for brutally suppressing dissent.

It’s not as tough I like this man or have some kind of emotional connection to him and therefore wish to spare him. I only wish to spare his oppressed citizens. I do like his dresses and sense of fashion; the man would fit in well with Tel Aviv’s nightlife scene. Indeed, the city was overrun by Gaddafis during Purim as a last gesture to the tyrant, highlighting his value as a cultural icon.

Yet as a leader, Muammar Gaddafi is most certainly not of the type I favor: He is a narrow-minded desert dictator that has ruled for too many years, and hence, just like any executive or oligarch, has become a total fool due to his power and the absence of any boundaries.

He has turned into a tireless chatterbox and possibly into a man who downs passenger flights.

Journalists who were sent to interview him were left to wait in their hotels for months until they were sent back. Female interviewers had a better chance, and Italian female journalists were indeed attracted once upon a time to a ruler who was handsome in his youth, but has since turned into a funny-looking Botox grandma.

Israel’s own Rafael Haddad was held in a Libyan prison for a while. In short, Libya is a bad place for free people.

Nonetheless, I object to the assassination of this man by the West. I am against assassination by cruise missiles, against blind killing by British or American jets, and against Tomahawk missiles that the West pulls out of its emergency warehouses once in a while in order to refresh its arsenal.

I object to killing for the sake of prevention of killing. I am against smart bombs fired at stupid states by foolish Western rulers who don’t care about what will happen the following day.

After all, who will be replacing the old fool? Will we see the emergence of a Western puppet that would push Libya into Iraq-style chaos and bloodshed

? Will we see the emergence of violent gangs that take control of everything? Will a new militia take matters into its own hands under the auspices of Sarkozy, Queen Elizabeth and Obama, making the Libyans long for the idiot in the dress?

Saddam Hussein was a test case, and what’s happening in Iraq now is worse than what was happening there before. Hence, it may be better to impose a blockade, press and threaten, but not to bring a new Libyan ruler to power under the sword of Christianity.
