Revelation 17:9 – The SEVEN HEADS are SEVEN MOUNTAINS (NATIONS OR KINGDOMS), ON WHICH THE WOMAN (FALSE AND/OR APOSTATE RELIGIONS) sitteth.

Isaiah 2:1-5 –The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. [2] And it shall come to pass IN THE LAST DAYS (2ND ADVENT), that the MOUNTAIN (KINGDOM, NATION, OR GOVERNMENT) of the Lord’s HOUSE (TEMPLE) shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills (ABOVE ALL OTHER KINGDOMS, NATIONS OR GOVERNMENTS, BOTH SMALL AND GREAT); and ALL nations shall flow unto it. [3] And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word

of the Lord from Jerusalem. [4] And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. Zechariah 14:8,9 – And it shall be IN THAT DAY, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. [9] And the Lord shall be king over ALL the earth: IN THAT DAY shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

[The 7 Mountains (Governments) are, were, and shall be 7 Empires – The Egyptian (1), Assyrian (2), Babylonian (3), Medo-Persian (4), Grecian (5), Roman (6), and the Omayyad Islamic Caliphate of 750 AD (7). There is an 8th Caliphate Head on the Beast which is not shown on the Beast because it, like the 7th Beast, is a massive Caliphate of an Islamic Caliph, who is the Antichrist – A resurrected Caliph leading a resurrected Caliphate (8).]

Revelation 17:8-13 – The beast that thou sawest was (Omayyad Caliphate 7), and is not (Last fragment vestiges of it died with Ottoman Caliphate); and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit (Comes back to life as the Antichrist’s Caliphate 8), and go into perdition (When Antichrist and False Prophet are thrown into a Lake of Fire at Armageddon – Revelation 19:20} and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was (the Omayyad Caliphate 7), and is not (It died), and yet is (has revived as 8). [9] And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains (kingdoms), on which the woman sitteth. [10] And there are seven kings: five are fallen (When John wrote the Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian and Grecian Kingdoms had fallen), and one is (John wrote Revelation during the time of the Roman Kingdom), and the other is not yet come (Omayyad Caliphate); and when he cometh, he must continue a short space (89 Years – 661-750 AD). [11] And the beast that was, (Omayyad Caliphs and Caliphate) and is not (They, and it, died), even he (Antichrist) is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. [12] And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. [13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

[The 10 kings are the 10 horns of Revelation and Daniel that I believe will attack Israel prior to 2015. The 10 horns are the Islamic rulers of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran.]

PART 1 – The First Head

The SEVEN HEADS represent seven great mountains (governments or kingdoms) that have been composite parts in the development of the final great Revelation beast kingdom of antichrist. These seven kingdoms of man have historically given their mammon contributions of knowledge, culture, and scientific advancements, as they

have afflicted and affected Israel since God called her out of Egypt.

The first of the HEADS to affect Israel, as she grew rapidly to become a nation in the land of Goshen, was the great Egyptian Kingdom.

Genesis 45:7-10 – And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. [8] So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a fa ther to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all

the land of Egypt. [9] Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: [10] And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:

Exodus 1:1-14 – Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt; every man and his household came with Jacob. [2] Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, [3] Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, [4] Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

[5] And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already. [6] And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation.

[7] And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. [8] Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph.

[9] And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: [10] Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. [11] Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses. [12] But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. [13] And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: [14] And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

Exodus 2:23-25 – And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. [24] And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

[25] And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.

The culture of Egypt has six thousand years of recorded history. Ancient Egypt was among the earliest civilizations. For millennia, Egypt maintained a strikingly complex and stable culture that influenced later cultures of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. After the Pharaonic era, Egypt itself came under the influence of Hellenism, for a time Christianity, and later, Arab and Islamic culture. Today, many aspects of Egypt’s ancient culture exist in interaction with newer elements, including the influence of Egyptian culture on modern Western civilization.

The seven heads on the Revelation Beast are the civilizations upon which the final eighth Caliphate Kingdom of Antichrist will be built. This final kingdom of the Age of the Gentiles will have incorporated all the advanced education based on the ancient Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, Persian, Grecian, Roman, and Omayyad Kingdoms.

Each year, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and its affiliated organizations hold hundreds of meetings, at which officials from countries across Asia come together to issue bland, verbose communiqués about everything from agriculture management to the handling of spiny dogfish and to listen to interchangeable speeches by government officials. Along with an inevitable level of boredom, the meetings feature exaggerated, affected displays of courtesy that would not have been out of place at the Tudor Court.

Attendees address each other as “your excellency” and keep up constant streams of flattery.

All of which made the events at last July’s ASEAN Regional Forum, held in Hanoi, rather unusual. On the sidelines of the meeting, several Southeast Asian nations, fearful of China’s growing power, had been pushing the United States to reassert a larger role in the region, particularly to mediate disputes in the contested South China Sea, which China claims almost in its entirety. When Secretary of State Hillary Clinton endorsed these countries’ demands—declaring that freedom on the South China Sea was in America’s “national interest”—Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi lost his composure. According to several reports, he suddenly got up and exited the meeting. One hour later, he returned and launched into a 30-minute-long monologue. At one point, Yang mocked his hosts, the Vietnamese; at another, he declared, “China is a big country and other countries are small countries, and that’s just a fact.” Yang stared down the foreign minister of Singapore, a country known in the region as one of America’s staunchest friends. The Singaporean foreign minister, a normally placid man named George Yeo, stared right back.

Egypt nears military coup. USS warships in Suez Canal

A fresh surge of popular anti-Mubarak protest ripping across Egypt Tuesday, Feb.

8 has brought the country closer to a military coup to stem the anarchy than at any time since the street caught fire on Jan. 25.

Vice President Omar Suleiman warned a group of Egyptian news editors that the only choice is between a descent into further lawlessness and a military takeover in Cairo. The distinguished political pundit of the 1960s and 1970s Hasnin Heikal saw no other way out of the crisis but a government ruling by the army’s bayonets.

The arrival of US naval, marine and air forces in the Suez Canal’s Greater Bitter Lake indicated that the crisis was quickly swerving out of control.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that the American force consists of the USS Kearsarge Expeditionary Strike Group of six warships. Helicopters on some of their decks are there to carry and drop the 2,200 marines of the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit which has been bolstered by two special operations battalions.

The flotilla has a rapid strike stealth submarine, the USS Scranton, which is designed to support special forces’ operations.

The US strike force has taken up position at a strategic point opposite Ismailia between the west bank of the Suez Canal and its eastern Sinai bank. It is poised for rapid response in the event of the passage of about 40 percent of the world’s marine freights through the Suez Canal being threatened or any other extreme occurrence warranting US military intervention.

For a few hours Tuesday, it looked as through Egypt was finally going back to normal after a two-week popular uprising. But then, suddenly, thousands again took to the streets and squares of Egyptian towns – from the Western desert on the Libyan border up to the northern Sinai town of El Arish in the east, recalling Hosni Mubarak’s warning of chaos if he were to depart too soon.

Tuesday, the protesters mounted their biggest demonstrations of their campaign to oust Mubarak – in Cairo, Alexandria, the Delta Cities, the industrial belt around Mahalla-el-Kebir and the steel city of Heluan, shouting “Death to Mubarak!” and “Hang Mubarak!”

Although reforms and pay hikes have been pledged by the new Egyptian government, large groups of workers, mainly in Cairo, rebelled against state-appointed managements and set up “Revolutionary Committees” to run factories and other work places, including Egyptian state TV and Egypt’s biggest weekly “Ros el-Yusuf.”

Special Lebanese Tribunal Pre-Trial Judge Daniel Fransen asked the court to define crimes of terrorism, conspiracy and premeditated murder when the tribunal held its first hearing Monday, Feb.

DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources report that within days, Judge Fransen is scheduled to publish indictments based on the findings of Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare’ s probe of the a

ssassination of former Lebanese Prime Minster Rafiq Hariri in 2005.

The court’s accelerated schedule and the gravity of its charges have caught

the primary suspects, big shots of the Lebanese Shiite Hizballah, unprepared. They face being convicted as international criminals on charges of terrorism, conspiracy and premeditated murder. There is not much they can do but openly flout the court’s expected summons for their extradition by force of arms. With no end of the Egyptian standoff in sight, therefore, a showdown in Lebanon looms large.

The international judges jumped the gun not only for Hizballah but also for its bosses in Damascus and Tehran and even up to a point for Washington, which has supported the court’s work but had hoped indictments would not be ready for some months. The l ast thing the Ob

ama administration needs at this moment is a second Middle East bonfire.

But whether they like it or not, the Special Tribunal got down to its first hearing in Leidschendam near The Hague Monday, Feb. 7. The first session withheld the names of individuals contained in the sealed indictment document Bellemare filed with Fransen on Jan. 17. This and future sessions will be held in public, so the full list of accused may be only be a week or ten days away from release.

This finds the plan carefully crafted by Iran, Syria and Hizballah to make sure that that point was never reached coming apart at the seams: They managed to get rid of pro-Western Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri and replace him with Najib Miqati, friend to Hizballah and Syrian leaders, whose first task was to have been to disqualify the STL, nullify its indictments and sever ties with the tribunal. But their handpicked candidate for prime minister has not managed to form a government because of three obstacles:

1. Lebanese President Michel Suleiman insists he will only endorse a national unity administration, which would necessitate the participation of Saad Hariri’s March 14 bloc.

2. Suleiman wants a March 14 candidate – not a Miqati man – appointed Interior Minister to head the most powerful government department which holds the levers of the national domestic security and intelligence services and is authorized to declare a national state of emergency.

3. Miqati is not eager to head a narrow-based government either, because it would expose him as a Syrian-Hizballah rubber stamp and he would be ostracized by the United States and much of the West.

The Iran-Syrian-Hizballah alliance has consequently lost its race to beat the international Hariri tribunal to the draw. The court has not only outpaced Hizballah, it promises landmark decisions on the most incendiary issues of the day, definitions of terrorism and such questions as cumulative charges in cases of conspiracy.

Hizballah may still cast about for a fast worker to take over from Migati and rush a new government through – or, alternatively, exercise force to seize control of Beirut and government institutions and establish an alternative “Free Lebanon” administration to sever ties with the STL.

These options are fraught with the threat of civil violence.

Tunisia calls up army reserves

Tunisia’s interim government said Tuesday it had called up reservists to bolster the army as it confronts pockets of unrest and struggles to meet demands for democratic reforms after a popular uprising.

As European Parliament MPs called for an international donors’ conference to help the country in its democratic transition, the European Union said it was drawing up an assistance plan to help meet the country’s “new needs” after the ouster of leader Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

Soldiers who retired between 2006 and 2010

and conscripts who left the ranks at the end of 2008 and throughout 2009 were told to report to military posts from February 16, a statement from authorities carried by the TAP news agency said.

The army boasts some 45,000 troops, vastly outnumbered by the police and security apparatus of an estimated 100,000 men run by Ben Ali before his ouster.

Some members of the caretaker government of new Prime Minister Mohammed Ghannouchi have accused Ben Ali loyalists of fomenting unrest against the new leadership in an attempt to derail the transition to democracy.

On Sunday the government banned Ben Ali’s all-powerful C onstituti

onal Democratic Assembly and on Monday parliament approved a law granting decree powers to interim President Foued Mebazaa.

Ahead of the vote Ghannouchi spoke of “dangers” to the transition to democracy following Ben Ali’s overthrow on January 14 amid mass protests.

“Time is precious. Tunisia has real need of rule by decree to remove dangers,” Ghannouchi said at the first parliamentary session since Ben Ali’s overthrow.

Interim authorities have vowed to hold elections within six months but no date has been announced and pressure is growing to move to a vote more quickly.

Pockets of protests have erupted across the country since Ben Ali’s ousting and police, closely associated with the hated Ben Ali regime, have played no role in restoring law and order.

That task has been left to the army in recent unrest in Kasserine in central Tunisia, Kef in the northwest and Gafsa in the centre.

The army refused to fire on demonstrators during rallies that led to the overthrow of Ben Ali and army chief general Rachid Ammar joined street protesters in late January to tell them the military backed their demands.

The EU’s enlargement commissioner, Stefan Fuele, said during a visit to Morocco Tuesday that Europe was keen to support democratic reforms in Tunisia and across the region, including in Egypt where mass protests against President Hosni Mubarak entered their third week.

“We are currently putting in place a transition package at the request of Tunisian authorities and we want to set priorities… that will allow Tunisia to face up to its new needs,” he told reporters in Rabat.

“In regards to Egypt (the EU) has requested the preparation of a broad aid package for this country and for the countries in the region,” he said.

In a statement, European Parliament lawmakers who had recently returned from a visit to Tunisia called for a donors’ conference to be convened, highlighting youth unemployment estimated as high as 50 percent and a 40 percent tourism revenue slump.

Maltese conservative MEP Simon Bussutil called for the creation of a broad package similar to the Marshall Plan drawn up in response to the ruins of post-WWII Europe, “to help those that have taken the road of democracy.”

Parliament president Jerzy Buzek, a former Solidarity activist in Communist Poland, said north Africa faces “the same difficult and scarcely navigable path” to democracy as eastern and central Europe 20 years ago.

10 Jihad Kings among the Kings of Revelation 19:19!

Part 2 – The 10 Jihad Horns of Daniel 7

At the battle of Armageddon most of the kings of the earth will come to join the antichrist in a final attempt to eradicate the nation of Israel. Among them will be 10 nations representing the 10 Jihad horns of Daniel 7.

Revelation 19:19 – And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Some three and one-half years before the final battle of Armageddon, which closes the tribulation period, 10 kings of nations out of the territory once occupied by the ancient Roman Empire will attack Israel from the north.

The last evil kingdom of antichrist on this earth was to initially be composed of 10 nations with 10 kings led by the man of sin himself. It was to arise out of the ashes of the old Roman Empire, and I have always believed it would rise out of the southern half of the Empire, being made up of Islamic nations. I believe the elements for its formation are in place today, and I suspect that the most likely Arab nations of which it will be comprised are Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran.

Daniel 7:23-25 – Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth,

and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

[24] And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. [25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. [(time – 1 yr) times

When a best selling book was written in the fifties about six emerging European Common Market nations, it began to cause many theologians to rapidly change their minds as to where the antichrist would eventually arise. Prior to that time most had believed he would arise out of the old Seleucid dynasty, which was formed by one of the generals who divided Alexander’s Grecian Empire into four sections. Many believed the Assyrian, in the fifth chapter of Micah, would be the antichrist, and that he would arise in, and come out of, modern day Syria. Before the European Common Market theory arose, a majority believed antichrist would come out of the southern half of the old Roman Empire, rather than out of the European northern half. But the great popularity of the aforementioned book ascended to the highest levels of acceptability, and previous beliefs were dwarfed to obscurity. The book indicated that the six original members of the Common Market would soon be joined by four other nations to reach ten, and then be joined by the eleventh horn. He was to be the antichrist of Daniel’s fourth beast in chapter seven.

However, soon there were ten horns, then there were eleven, then more, then fifteen, then twenty-five, and soon more are likely to be added. But the astounding popularity of this book, and the thousands of preachers and other teachers who have taught it, have left a legacy behind them, and it is difficult to persuade very many they might not be correct in what they have taught, and are still teaching.

I have been concerned, since the book was published, about the possibility it might cause many to be deceived when he does not arise in Europe, but in Syria. Quite frankly, I watch both Europe and Syria just like a hawk, and, if I do see him rising in Europe, I most assuredly will accept it. I am prepared for both. But many are so convinced he must come out of Europe, I doubt if anything would change their minds. In any case, in future updates I will show my reasons for believing he will come out of the Syria area.

The beast of Daniel 7:23 does indeed represent the old Roman Empire, and it certainly did tread down “the whole world,” that is, the “known” world of Daniel’s day. Have you ever thought that perhaps we were meant to take the expressions of Daniel’s day concerning the world, and believe that is the only part of the present world the antichrist will dominate completely? (See Archive Prophecy Updates 77, 77A, 77b, and 77C)

The ten horns will arise out of “the whole world” of Daniel’s day. But why do they have to be European nations? Were not Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, northern Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and northern Sudan part of the old Roman Empire under the Emperor Trajan? And are not these countries the descendants of Ishmael, the first son of Abraham, and Keturah’s six sons by Abraham, and the two sons of Abraham’s nephew Lot, Moab and Ammon by his two daughters? Are not these descendants of Abraham the ones who have hated and battled the sons of Abraham through Israel for many centuries? In any case, since I believe the attack is likely to occur before 2015, I expect to know where he will arise one way or the other in the next few years, that is, if I survive the grave before Jesus returns. I am certain such an attack will occur, and I believe the best guess for its occurrence is 2010 to 2015, but I am by no means certain of WHEN it will occur, only that it is not in the distant future. It may well occur after 2015, but I do not believe many years will pass after that date before it is launched by 10 Arab nations.

I do not question that Europe will come down as part of a great mass of many nations and join the antichrist in Jerusalem for the final battle of Armageddon, but I am confident that the initial attack of the tribulation period will be by antichrist leading 10 Islamic nations against Israel. The antichrist leading the attack will start the war that will not end until 1260 days after he attacks, he will be the Assyrian from Meshech and Tubal.

First, the Assyrian, Leading Daniel’s 10 Horns, Drives Israel Into the Negev Wilderness, Which Begins the 1260 Days of Israel Trapped in the Negev. Then, More Than Three Years Later, Russia Comes Down with the Nations of the Post-Columbus Old World to Answer the Call to the Final Battle of the 1260 Days, Which is the Battle of Armageddon.

A few years ago I received a query as to when I believed Russia, that now occupies the territory held by the descendants of Magog when Daniel and Ezekiel wrote their prophecies, would come down to attack Israel

? I do not believe that Russia will come down until the latter portion of the last 1260 days of the tribulation period.

You have read my lengthy dissertation of Daniel 9:27 to prove the vast majority of today’s prophetic teachings are based on the three “HE’s” being the antichrist, but that this was not taught before 1740. And, I have been unable to find a clearly stated valid first-of-the-week position before that date.

In order to justify a pre-tribulation rapture, it was necessary to create a war before the tribulation period, out of which the antichrist could arise to sign a peace treaty, which he would break after three and one half years of peace, but such a war never existed before 1740.

I am from the old school of the eighteen hundreds and early nineteen hundreds. The old school believed there was only one war. The modern school believes there are two, a viewpoint that was make very popular by several writers in the nineteen fifties, and is the majority belief today. I am persuaded that there is only one war. It begins when the antichrist, who I believe will come out of Syria, attacks Israel from the north, with the armies of Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon actively involved in the attack from without, the Palestinian Authority attacking from within, and Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, and Turkey initially providing logistical support. This starts the one war that will last for 1260 days. I label it as the War of Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. This war ends in the final great battle, the battle of Armageddon. At the time of the writings of Daniel and Ezekiel, most of the descendants of Meshech and Tubal were settled in modern Syria and Lebanon primarily, but some had settled in southern Turkey and extreme northwestern Iraq. The Antichrist, the Assyrian of Micah 5, the King of the North in Daniel 11:40 to 45, and Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, are all one, and the same, person. There is only one war. It begins the last 1260 days of the tribulation period, and culminates with the battle of Armageddon.

Many of those who read my updates have never met me. So, for your sakes, considering all you have read in the update which follows, you could well draw conclusions about me that may not be true.

One of those is this, many have said to me, well, then that means you don’t believe in an imminent return of Christ, you don’t believe he could come at any moment. But, in all truth, that is not so.

Why? Because I am not so foolish as to believe I could not be wrong. So, believe it or not, I look for him to come at any time. I merely interpret what I believe the Scriptures teach about all the issues involving end time events, of which his coming ranks as the most important of them all. I will tell you what I expect, knowing I could be wrong, and the decision as to whether or not you believe it is up to you. I BELIEVE THE ANTICHRIST WILL ATTACK ISRAEL FROM THE NORTH BEFORE 2015 AND, THAT BETWEEN 3 AND 4 YEARS FOLLOWING THE ATTACK, THE RAPTURE WILL OCCUR ON THE SOUNDING OF THE 7TH TRUMPET PRIOR TO GOD’S SEVEN VIALS.

The same city, that Jesus overlooked when he gave his famous discourse known as the Olivet Discourse, was given some 40 years to repent, but its occupants did not, and Titus destroyed it in 70 A.D. The same city came back into Jewish hands in June of 1967. They have already had some 44 years to repent and accept Christ as their Messiah, and they have not. I BELIEVE THE ATTACK WILL OCCUR BEFORE 2015, AND THAT MESSIAH WILL RETURN PRIOR TO 2019. Could all that I have just stated be wrong – CERTAINLY! But now I have plainly stated what I believe, and time will tell! So, I plan to hope he comes at any minute, while I wait to see if I am right in the timing I have put forward.

The Rise of Islam Out of A Revived Roman Empire!

I remember when Yigal Allon first proposed building a barrier around the West Bank in 1968, and how it never got past the proposal stage in the Knesset. Well, that was 36 years ago, and now the barrier is about one-quarter finished, and the current estimated time of completion is the end of 2005. I have lived among the followers of Islam, gone to school with them, and taught them, and I have watched the steady growth and formation of a religious revival among them that I am persuaded will be instrumental in the fulfillment of a lot of end-time prophecies.

I retired from the National Security Agency as a synoptic analyst whose primary function had involved Soviet and Chinese missile launches, nuclear development, and oceanography. For years I watched the Arab nations playing off the United States and the Soviet Union against one another by seeking favors from them in military assistance, and they, in return, would tell both super powers they were in their camp. When I first arrived in the Middle East in 1952, most of their military hardware had been given to the them by the U.S. and U.S.S.R on what we called the never-never payment plan, and what they did not get from the big two, they got from France and China. When World War II ended, the Arab nations could not take Barney Fife in a fair fight. But between 1952 and 1971, when I retired from the USAF-NSA, I watched their massive oil revenues being spent on the very latest military hardware available from France, Germany, the Soviet Union, China, and numerous other nations. Hal Linsey had published his first book, “The Late Great Planet Earth,” the year before I retired, and, because of my time in the NSA, there were several things he presented, with which I was totally at odds. I wrote my first book in the middle of

the seventies for that specific reason. I was convinced he had overestimated the future rise of the Soviet Union at the expense of a rapid decline of the United States of America. He thought the U.S. power would decline after 1970, and a United States of Europe would arise during the eighties to replace us as the new counterbalancing power against the power of the Soviet Union. And he believed that when the European Common Market increased from six to ten in number, then the antichrist would arise as the eleventh horn in the midst of the ten European nations. Well, here we are, some 34 years later, with 15 horns of the European Union about to become 25 in number in May, and the United States as the one world power.

There were several areas of his teachings I simply could not accept. His prophetic teachings have had more effect on preachers and teachers from 1970 to the present that any other writer of this era of time. At the present time our web site averages about 175 hits a day, but after I put up this Update I expect it to fall by 50 percent because of Hal Linsey’s tremendous popularity with the followers and teachers of prophecy. I like Mr.

Linsey, and, with true candor, I am very pleased he wrote the many books he has published since his first book, even though I disagree with many of his predictions. I like him because he was the first religious writer with flair, and his style of expressing prophetic events has sold multi-millions

of books. His style of presenting prophetic events with catchy titles awakened much of the world population to the prophetic times in which we are living, for which I am thankful. His first book was published in May 1970, and I have long since misplaced my copy, but I still have a copy from December, 1972, by which time more than 1,700,000 copies had been sold. In this book, published by Zondervan, Lindsey stated, on pages 94 & 96, “We believe that the Common Market and the trend toward unification of Europe may well be the beginning of the ten-nation confederation predicted by Daniel and the Book of Revelation.” And, as to the time that that these nations were to become the powerhouse ten in number, Linsey quoted Dr. Charles Hallstein, saying, “At about 1980 we may expect the great fusion of all economic, military, and political communities to gather into the United States of Europe.” And Hal Linsey said, referring to this quote, “Hallstein cited 1980. The timetable may be accelerated.” But my problem with Linsey’s teachings has never involved arguments about timing of events. It has been about what part of the old revived Roman Empire will see the rise of the ten-nations. All prophetic teachers have been wrong about the timing of events in the past, and we will continue to be wrong until the event finally occurs, and then someone will finally be correct. So, as you read this, if you are a fan of Hal Linsey, don’t think I am picking on him. I am sure he has changed his mind about some of his early writings, just as I have changed some of mine. The only person who ever wrote a book and did not have to change his mind about what he wrote as time passed is the Holy Spirit of God, and anyone who never changes his mind about his early prophetic interpretations of Scripture must think he is God. From 1971 to 2004 I have changed my mind about quite a few of my early beliefs in prophetic interpretation. How can you ever learn prophetic truth if you are unwilling to change your mind with the passage of time? On page 112, Linsey clearly identifies antichrist as a Roman Dictator, but are you aware that this teaching has its roots in a single scripture, namely Daniel 9:27, and are you aware that the “he” in Daniel 9:27 was never taught, in any commentary on the Bible, as being the antichrist prior to 1690, but was taught by all before that time, and by most until 1900, to be Christ? (See Whole Numbered Prophecy Updates 55 to 58, 123B, 123D & 147D). In 1972, Mr. Linsey, after having stated previously that the creation of the United States of Europe might actually come into existence prior to Dr. Hallstein’s prediction of 1980, went on to say, on page 184, “The United States will not hold its present position of leadership in the western world; financially the future leader will be Western Europe.” On page 185, he went on to say, “As the United States loses power, Western Europe will be forced to unite and become the standard-bearer of the western world. Look for the emergence of a United States of Europe composed of ten inner member nations. The Common Market is laying the groundwork for the political confederation which will become the mightiest coalition on earth.

It will stop the Communist take-over of the world and will for a short while control both Russia and Red China through the personal genius of the European confederacy.” Even if you do not agree with my conclusions, please do at least know why I have drawn them. Most of the prophetically inclined world is still waiting for an antichrist to arise out of Europe as Daniel’s eleventh horn. After which he will dominate the whole earth as we know it today. But, not to worry, all believers will be whisked out some seven years before the final battle of Armageddon, and the Jews and

all of the unbelievers will be left. That is the scenario painted by about 85 percent of the TV evangelists and popular prophetic writers of today. I hope you will at least consider what I believe about this teaching. Why? If I am wrong, it will have cost you nothing. But if I am correct, it could be of considerable use if the 85 percent are wrong. I searched England and the United States, trying to find how far back the teaching of the first-of-the-week position extended.

I have yet to find a record of anyone who taught it prior to 1742, and I have never found a book that was in print before 1788 that presented it. (See Prophecy Updates 73D, 74A, 76, 144F & 147D). I am merely saying that those called mid-tribbers, seventh trump, or last-of-the-weekers, should not be labeled heretics, which a few first-of-the-weekers are prone to do.

Furthermore, I was never able to find a published commentary on the Bible, printed prior to 1690, that indicated antichrist would rule the earth DURING THE LAST SEVEN YEARS of this age. If you do want to know what preachers taught before 1690, concerning the identity of the three “he’s” in Daniel 9:27, please take a look at Special Prophecy Update Number 144A and 147D. The majority belief that the three “he’s” were Christ did not begin to change rapidly until 1830, and it did not become the minority belief until the arrival of 1900.

Daniel 9:27 – And HE shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week HE shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations HE shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

If you want to accuse me of having changed my mind during the last 40 years concerning what I once believed about prophetic events, I would have to say your charge is valid.

What I discovered, as I studied the Scriptures, comparing them with the teachings on the same subjects by interpreters prior to 1690, 1742, and 1827, shocked me. It simply amazed me to discover they made more sense than what is being taught by the majority of interpreters of today.

What events do the vast majority of today’s Christians believe will be fulfilled between now and the Second Advent of Christ?
(1) The Temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem before the rapture.
(2) The antichrist will arise as the eleventh horn among ten European nation horns.
(3) The rapture of the saints will occur seven years before the Second Advent.
(4) The saved will not have to go through any of the tribulation period.
(5) Seven years of tribulation will follow the rapture.
(6) The antichrist will rule over all of the world, as we know it today, for seven years.

(7) The antichrist will sign a peace treaty with the Jews, but will then break it by attacking Israel 1260 days before the Second Advent.

The major areas of disagreement that caused me to have written three books are based on what I believe about the following end time events.

(1) The antichrist will come out the area that includes Lebanon, Syria, extreme southern Turkey, and northern Iraq, most likely out of Syria. (See Whole Numbered Prophecy Updates 62 to 69).
(2) The ten toes and ten horns associated with Daniel and Revelation will be Islamic nations out of the southern half of the old revived Roman Empire. They will be the nations that launch the attack, which starts the last three and one-half years of the tribulation period. (See Prophecy Updates 46, 47, 50 to 53, 92A. and Whole Numbered Prophecy Updates 71 to 75).
(3) I do not believe the rapture will occur seven years before the battle of Armageddon. (See Prophecy Updates 73D, 74A, 76, 78A, 82A, 114A, 115D, 117B, 144A, 144F, & 147D).
(4) I do not believe Russia and China will attack Israel until the battle of Armageddon. (This is sprinkled throughout the Prophecy and Birth Pangs Archives).
(5) I do not believe the Temple will be rebuilt before the return of Jesus Christ. (Prophecy Update Number 79).
(6) I do not believe the three “he’s” in Daniel 9:27 refer to antichrist. (See Prophecy Updates 55 to 58, 123B, 123D, 144A, & 147D).
(7) I do not believe the antichrist’s empire will dominate the entire world as we know it today. (See Prophecy Updates 73A, 77, 77A, 77B, 77C, 135A, & Birth Pang Number 33).

It will take time for the Muslim Brotherhood and associated radical Islamic groups to gain strength in the Islamic countries where the secular led revolutions are now occurring, but when they have reached strength they feel is sufficient, the Antichrist will lead the 10 Islamic horns of Daniel 7 & 11 and Revelation 13 & 17 against Israel. All the offspring units from the Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Islamic Jihad groups will attack Egypt and Israel from within, as well as the other Middle East countries that have been friendly with the West, the largest being Saudi Arabia. It will take time for this development to reach fruition. In 2007 I predicted this attack was likely to occur between 2010 & 2015, and have consistently stated the odds of its occurrence would increase each year during that time span. I do not believe the attack will occur in 2011, but it

will increase each year in probability each year thereafter. Only the Lord knows the exact time when the Lord will take up the saved or when the attack against Israel by the Antichrist will occur, but I do believe the

attack, which will lead to the final battle of Armageddon some three and one-half later, will occur prior to 2015.

His views explode the myth that the creed of offensive, expansionist jihad represents a distortion of traditional Islamic thinking.

Mr Usmani, 64, sat for 20 years as a Sharia judge in Pakistan’s Supreme Court.

He is an adviser to several global financial institutions and a regular visitor to Britain. Polite and softly spoken, he revealed to The Times a detailed knowledge of world events and his words, for the most part, were balanced and considered.

He agreed that it was wrong to suggest that the entire nonMuslim world was intent on destroying Islam. Yet this is a man who, in his published work, argues the case for Muslims to wage an expansionist war against nonMuslim lands.

Mr Usmani’s justification for aggressive military jihad as a means of establishing global Islamic supremacy is revealed at the climax of his book, Islam and Modernism.

The work is a polemic against Islamic modernists who seek to convert the entire Koran into “a poetic and metaphorical book” because, he says, they have been bewitched by Western culture and ideology.

The final chapter delivers a rebuke to those who believe that only defensive jihad (fighting to defend a Muslim land that is under attack or occupation) is permissible in Islam.

He refutes the suggestion that jihad is unlawful against a nonMuslim state that freely permits the preaching of Islam.

For Mr Usmani, “the question is whether aggressive battle is by itself commendable or not”. “If it is, why should the Muslims stop simply because territorial expansion in these days is regarded as bad? And if it is not commendable, but deplorable, why did Islam not stop it in the past?”

He answers his own question thus: “Even in those days . . . aggressive jihads were waged . . . because it was truly commendable for establishing the grandeur of the religion of Allah.”

These words are not the product of a radical extremist.

They come from the pen of one of the most acclaimed scholars in the Deobandi tradition.

Mr Usmani told The Times that Islam and Modernism was an English translation of his original Urdu book, “which at times gives a connotation different from the original”.

In this Update we will continue the drive of antichrist across the southern tip of Gaza toward Egypt and her Suez Canal.

Daniel 11:42 – He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

The political, geophysical, and military positioning of Syria, Iran, and Iraq, from a prospective

of having world influence, literally stinks. But the position of Egypt’s Suez Canal, and Cairo, her capital, is outstanding. The antichrist is supposed to be a man of genius in all areas. That being the case, he would be worse than a military academy dropout were he not to take the Suez Canal, and then make Cairo his empire’s capital.

Daniel 11:43 – But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and

the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

The three most “precious things” in Egypt are: the Suez Canal, the Nile River and its Delta, and Cairo, it’s capital. He will conquer the Suez Canal zone and all of Egypt. So just what is Egypt? Many are inclined to establish it as the land bordered on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, on the west by Libya, on the south by Sudan, on the southeast by the Red Sea, and on the northeast by its Sinai border with Gaza and Israel’s Negev. And, geographically, that is quite correct.

However, in reality, that is not Egypt. The real Egypt, where her people live, is much, much, smaller. Egypt is the land along her north and east coastlines up to about two miles inland, the Nile Delta, and the land along the Nile River extending about fifteen miles either side of its banks.

The antichrist will send messages to leaders of two of the original 10 nations confederated with him, namely Libya and Sudan, requesting them to mass their troops along the northern coastal border with Libya, and along the border where the Nile enters Egypt from Sudan. This will cause the diversion of some Egyptian troops away from Cairo and the Suez Canal in order to protect their western and southern borders.

And this will allow the antichrist to rapidly push across the Suez Canal into Cairo and along her western and eastern coastlines, then to quickly progress southward down the Nile with little resistance. I believe he will control Egypt within two weeks after he reaches the Suez Canal.

Once he has conquered Egypt, he will make an assessment of his geopolitical position. After having done so, he would be a military fool to return to his home country.

He will establish his capital at Cairo, and will remain there for more than three years. After three years he will receive news that causes him to quickly return to Jerusalem. If a military leader plans to put down his roots for a while, what would be one of his major concerns? The relationship he has with the rulers of the nations that are on his immediate borders. That is, how sure he is they will not pull a surprise attack on him. So, through the prestigious position he has gained in the eyes of the Islamic world by this time, it will allow him to use the terrorist groups, already in Sudan and Libya, to overthrow their leaders, and in their place to install two of his stooges, where they will remain in control for some three years.

He will already have plucked up the ruler of Lebanon, and replaced him with a stooge.

It will surprise me if Lebanon, Sudan, and Libya are not the countries from which his stooges will rule.

Daniel 7:8,24 – I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were THREE of the FIRST horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. [24] And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue THREE kings.

I believe the kings (rulers) of Lebanon, Libya, and Sudan will be subdued by being personally plucked up by the roots out of their positions of leadership in their own countries, and replaced by puppet rulers who do exactly as the antichrist directs.

Daniel 11:43 – [43] But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

“At his steps” means “companionship” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance & Wilson’s O.T. Word Studies). This expression also appears in Judges 4:10, where it appears as “at his feet.”

Judges 4:10 – And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.

It represents an Old Testament word picture of a conquered leader or country laying yearly tribute payments before the king of the conquering country, who is setting on his throne, and the tribute is being placed at his feet on the steps leading up to his throne.

So I believe the antichrist will place his puppet rulers on the thrones of Lebanon, Syria, and Sudan as those who are in “companionship” with him.

For more than three years, with the Suez Canal under his control, he will gain worldwide recognition and acclaim in his capital city of Cairo. Israel will be trapped in the Negev for more than three years (See previous updates), and stability will have come to the troubled Middle East. He will supposedly have done what all nations say they are seeking, that is, brought stability to the Middle East.

But, between the third and fourth year of his rule, something will cause him to quickly head for Jerusalem.

Daniel 11:44,45 – [44] But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.
