The Catholic Church has long considered protestant beliefs as schisms (heresies) that broke off the true church, claiming they alone are the true church, the bride of Christ. The ecumenical character of John Paul II is now being accentuated by Benedict XVI, leaving little doubt that an accelerated effort will be made to draw what they consider the “erring daughters” back into their ranks. The life and death of John Paul II has done more to set the stage for it than any Pope in church history.

The massive media publicity coverage and full reverence afforded the pre-death, pre-funeral, funeral, and selection of a new Pope, has done more to draw the masses into the catholic belief than any single event in history, and they are, and will, take advantage of the situation to do so. About one out of every six people on this planet has a connection with the catholic belief, and this will cause that ratio to increase. The Catholic Church will not only seek to restore and/or strongly influence the protestant churches, but will reach out to Islam and other extremist forms of religion. There is no question that Pope Benedict will reach out to dialogue with other religions, according to an article by the Associated Press in the Jerusalem Post on April 20, 2005. The opening paragraph stated: “Pope Benedict XVI pledged Wednesday to work to unify all Christians, reach out to other religions, and continue implementing the Second Vatican Council as he outlined his goals and made clear his pontificate would follow closely the trajectory of his predecessor, Pope John Paul II.” He went on to say: “My primary task will be to work without fail to reunify all Christians and that sentiment alone was not enough, Concrete acts that enter souls and then move the consciences are needed.”

Concerning other religions of the world he said: “I want to continue an open and sincere dialog with other religions, and will do everything in my power to improve the ecumenical cause.” The Jerusalem Post article by the Associate Press made this assessment of the new Pope’s address: “The message was clearly designed to show that Benedict was intent on following many of the groundbreaking paths charted by Pope John Paul II, who made reaching out to other religions and trying to heal the 1,000 year old schism in Christianity a hall mark of his pontificate.”

The 1,000-year-old-schism to which the article refers is known as the protestant break away from the Catholic Church.

However, the real schism, the breaking away from the truth once delivered to the saints, actually began as a heretical doctrine much earlier near the end of the first century, when the current hierarchy of layers of rulers above catholic church members began with the planted seed of the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes. They wanted to rule over the local church, and later over all the churches. The seed has brought forth the multilayered hierarchical levels of rulers over the catholic membership, which has been fully manifested in the beautiful pomp and ceremony of the last several weeks.

Revelation 2:6 – But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.

Revelation 2:15 – So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.

The word translated “Nicolaitanes” is composed of two Greek words, Nikao and Laus, Nikao meaning “To Conquer,” and “Laus,” meaning “People.” The doctrine of the Nicolatanes was to being the congregation into submission to their doctrine, their teaching, and their authority was not to be questioned. They would eventually become the rulers of the people by conquering their wills into submission to their doctrine. One of the ways to keep the masses under subjection is to teach them they can lose their salvation if they do not keep what the catholic rulers identify as the sacraments, which involve works on the part of the believer to keep the gift of salvation given to them by grace through faith in Christ. This teaching denies the power of the cross as being sufficient to maintain the salvation bought and paid for by the blood of Christ, shed on it as the full price for the sins of all believers. This doctrine denies the power of Christ to have given complete atonement for the sins of all believers, and adds many other additional requirements, which must be tacked on to his work of redemption and death on the cross for all sins, all of them involving additional works of the believer to be allowed into heaven. It denies the work of God in Christ fully reconciling the world to himself by the power of the cross. It denies the full efficiency of God’s grace in Christ alone.

Jude 1:3,4 – Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. [4] For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning THE GRACE of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 1:17,18 – For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. [18] For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Dr. Oliver Green said of the Nicolaitanes: “Ephesus hated the terrible doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, but Pergamos accepted them.

Ephesus was troubled by their deeds, but by the time their doctrine reached the church at Pergamos, it held the corrupters to her bosom and permitted them to corrupt and poison the sources of purity and morality in the local assembly there.”

Galatians 3:1-3 – O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you? [2] This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, OR BY THE HEARING OF FAITH? [3] Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Romans 10:17 – So then FAITH COMETH BY HEARING, and hearing by the word of God.

Galatians 2:20,21 – I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. [21] I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Ephesians 2:8,9 – For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 10:13 – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ironically, the word Nicolaitanes, means “to conquer the people,” and the seed of the Nicolaitanes came in full bloom some 200 years after they planted it. Dr. J.M. Carroll, the author of “The Trail of Blood,” who died the year before I was born, wrote: “By the beginning of the year A.D. 313, Christianity had won a mighty victory over paganism, and a new emperor had risen to the throne of the Roman Empire. He evidently recognized something of the mysterious power of this religion that continued to grow in spite of persecution. History identifies this man as none other than Constantine, who had a wonderful realistic vision. He saw in the skies a fiery red cross and on that cross written in fiery letters these words – BY THIS THOU SHALT CONQUER.” How ironic that this is the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes! Dr. J.M. Carroll went on to say, concerning what Constantine said he saw in the sky. “He interpreted it to mean he should become a Christian. And that by giving up paganism and attaching the spiritual power of

the Christian religion onto the temporal power of the Roman Empire, the world could be easily conquered. Thus the Christian religion would in fact become a universal world religion, and the Roman Empire a universal world empire.” True churches of the Lord never surrendered to the early errors of the Nicolaitanes, nor did they follow those churches who later united to become the state religion of the Roman Empire, and there are still churches today that have remained true to the faith once delivered to saints from the time of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ called out, organized, and led the first true church for more than three years before he died for it. He died for all the other local, visible assemblies like it, which were to follow it, as well as for all the individual men and women who would put their faith in Christ alone for the salvation of their souls, and yet never unite with any church.

Conference of Catholic bishops for Mideast reportedly call for UN, int’l community to create Palestinian state through legal means.

Catholic bishops for the Middle East on Saturday called upon the United Nations and the international community to “put an end to the occupation of the different Arab territories,” AFP reported.

The bishops urged the international community and the UN to take necessary legal steps and to apply the applicable Security Council resolutions toward that end, the report stated.

The statement, which came at the end of a meeting chaired by Pope Benedict XVI, went on to say that “The Palestinian people will this have an independent and sovereign homeland where they can live with dignity and security,” according to the report.

The bishops’ statement continued, “The Holy City of Jerusalem will be able to acquire its proper status, which respects its particular character, its holiness and the religious patrimony of the three religions: Jewish, Christian and Muslim.

We hope that the two-state solution might become a reality and not only a dream,” AFP reported.

The statement came at the end of a two-week conference of the Roman Catholic bishops for the Middle East.

Israelis, Palestinians Agree to Continue Talks through U.S. Elections

The Obama administration has secured pledges from senior Mideast leaders to continue peace negotiations until after next month’s U.S. midterm elections, largely to avoid handing the Obama administration an embarrassing diplomatic setback before the Nov. 2 elections. Israeli and Palestinian officials said Tuesday that efforts to reach a compromise would continue until at least Nov. 3, a move they said “served the current American government.” “The time frame we are following has been designed around the elections in America,” said a senior member of the Palestinian negotiating team.

A senior Israeli cabinet official said all the issues were being discussed behind closed doors and that there’s an agreement not to discuss the terms of the negotiations with the news media. (McClatchy-Miami Herald)

Multiculturalism is an utter failure, German Chancellor Angela Merkel admitted over the weekend, even if she made sure to balance the painful truth with the required lip service to the master of European liberalism – political correctness – saying that Islam today is part of the Modern Germany.

It’s not quite clear how the chancellor’s logic corresponds to her claim regarding the utter failure of multiculturalism, when everyone knows that her words were almost exclusively directed at the Muslim community and its overwhelming commitment to the spirit of Islam. In her statement regarding Islam’s attachment to Europe, Merkel exposed her confusion and embarrassment (as well as that of many of her European colleagues) at this time, when the sword of Islam threatens the continent’s longtime cultural and demographic character.

Meanwhile, the leader of Germany’s Christian Social Union, Horst Seehofer, chose to adopt a more Lieberman-like and less Merkel-like rhetoric. He recently declared that the country does not need more immigrants from foreign cultures, since immigration law is important, and that’s why high rated green card lawyers are essential for people with migration issues. By uttering these works, Seehofer angered quite a few local politicians, who are having trouble (openly at least) accepting the grave news of multiculturalism’s premature demise.

Similarly to more and more European politicians and residents, Seehofer too is finding the foolish multicultural notion as increasingly less appealing.

This of course guarantees that he and his colleagues will be facing the harsh resistance of “progressive forces.”

These forces, which largely dominate the media, cultural, and academic spheres in the Western world, manage to convince many that a humane, enlightened person should accept cultural divergence, especially in light of Western colonialism’s effect on oriental nations. Indeed, European “fans of progress” feel this divergence must be lauded, regardless of whether Muslim immigrants view their very presence in Europe as a means to reinforce their isolationism, while shaping their new abode

in the spirit of their own religion and culture.

Of course, not every European Muslim strictly adheres to the decrees of Islam and Jihad, yet when the options one faces are Europe and its culture on the one hand, and Mohammad’s religion on the other, the overwhelming majority of Muslims prefer the values they grew up with at home over the ones promoted by their new European home.

Willful blindness

European authorities are of course aware of it, yet this does not prevent them from turning a blind eye to it, in the same way they ignore the methodical repression of women, violation of human rights, and wide-ranging incitement by imams at European Muslim communities (as confirmed by several unbiased European and international human rights groups.) Meanwhile, these governmental cover-up experts enjoy the support of liberal forces, which as we know raise a hue and cry every time a slight suspicion emerges in respect to Israeli human rights violations.

And if that’s the case, is it any wonder that Professor Robert Redeker from France had to run for his life, while quitting his place of work, only because he dared criticize the Islamic belligerence in Europe, while the abovementioned “progressive forces” remained silent? This was not much different than the “liberal support” accorded to Iranian artist Sooreh Hera, who was also forced to flee after seeking to present Mohammad and his partner as a homosexual couple at a Dutch museum.

Meanwhile, Geert Wilders continues to face various threats on his life following his film, “Fitna,” while cartoonist Kurt Westergaard barely survived an assassination attempt after drawing a Mohammad cartoon.

Indeed, the commitment of enlightened Europeans to glorious multiculturalism was maintained after the terror attacks in Madrid in 2004, the murder of Theo Van Gogh in Amsterdam in 2004, the terror attacks in London in 2005, the publication of the Mohammad cartoons in Denmark in 2005 (which led to more than 1,000 deaths worldwide,) the attempt to blow up seven European plans above the Atlantic in 2006, and the recent plot to carry out terror attacks at several European states (by “loyal” Muslim residents of Europe).

However, the incredibly effective ideological steamroller utilized by “progressive forces” in Europe for so long cannot face the pressure, and the rotten multicultural fruit are prompting many Europeans to wonder whether the time has come to put an end to this. And so, with almost no exception, the overwhelming majority of initiatives presented in recent years in a bid to start disengaging from the multicultural mirage and from the threatening Islamization are granted wide-ranging popular support.

Europe’s leadership is still far from crossing the ideological Rubicon, even if a leading figure like Chancellor Merkel may end up being the first great harbinger of the termination of Europe’s multicultural spring.

New Trend in Al-Qaeda’s Recruitment Efforts: American Muslims Should Carry the Burden of Jihad in U.S.

The second issue of Inspire, the English-language magazine of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), published October 10, 2010,[1] provides futher evidence of a striking new development: Al-Qaeda is striving to place the responsibility for jihad in America upon the Muslim community in the U.S. This is instead of having mujahideen come from other parts of the world to attack the U.S., and instead of recruiting American Muslims to fight on other jihadi fronts worldwide.

Following is an analysis of this new trend.

Jihad in America – The Responsibility of Its Muslim Community

Al-Qaeda’s effort to recruit Americans for action in the U.S. takes place on two levels, and is directed at two distinct audiences.

A) The ideological level:

On this level, Al-Qaeda ideologues address the more educated circles in the American Muslim community, and attempt to undermine the efforts of moderate Islamic scholars to challenge jihadist and extremist notions.

For example, the second issue of Inspire includes an article by Sheikh Anwar Al-Awlaki, the charismatic Americ

an-born jihadi leader and scholar who was the inspiration behind several terrorist attacks in America.

The article is a detailed denunciation of the New Mardin Declaration – a fatwa published by a group of moderate Muslim scholars from around the world in attempt to delegitimize extremism and violent jihad and promote values of tolerance and coexistence between Muslims and non-Muslims.[2]

B) The practical level:

On this level, Al-Qaeda appeals to the less educated elements of the Muslim community, with an eye to recruiting them for hostile action inside the U.S. Several articles in the second issue of Inspire provide practical suggestions for attacks that do not require advanced weapons or special training abroad, such as driving a vehicle into a large crowd in an American city, shooting up a crowded restaurant in Washington, DC, or using “a pickup truck as a mowing machine, not to mow grass but mow down the enemies of Allah.” The first issue of Inspire included similar advice, such as “how to make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom.” The magazine also encouraged Muslims in the U.S. to emulate the actions of Nidal Hasan, suspected of perpetrating the shooting at Fort Hood, and Faisal Shahzad of the attempted Times Square bombing.

The new trend of addressing Americans is reflected in the call made on Islamist websites to circulate the Inspire magazine on various English-language websites – not only on jihadist sites but on general ones, such as sports sites.

The trend is also reflected in the statement that “the target audience” of Inspire magazine is “non-Arab Muslims” (meaning English-speaking Muslims of all nationalities).

This new development is not relevant to the U.S. alone, since English-speaking Muslim communities are found in many parts of the world. Moreover, in our assessment, magaz

[2] The declaration was issued at the “Mardin: Abode of Peace” conference, held in Turkey on March 27-28, 2010, which was an attempt by Islamic scholars from a number of countries to rule terrorism and aggression illegitimate. The conference centered on a fatwa by the medieval Islamic scholar Taqi Al-Din Ibn Taymiyya regarding the city of Mardin in southeast Turkey, which in his days had fallen to the Mongols.

When asked whether Mardin was dar al-harb (the Abode of War) or dar al-islam (the Abode of Islam), Ibn Taymiyya had replied that Mardin was a composite abode.

The main argument of the scholars participating in the conference was that just as Ibn Taymiyya had not strictly adhered to the classical division

of the world into dar al-harb and dar al-islam, so modern Islamic scholars need to take changing conditions into account when dealing with these concepts.

In particular, they argued that the international system today achieves the ends sought by Islam – peace, sovereignty, freedom of worship, etc.

– and thus the concepts of the “Abode of War” and jihad against it are no longer operative.

The conference was accompanied by a concerted public relations effort. The organizers employed the services of a consulting firm and set up an English-language website (http://www.mardin-fatwa.com) that included information on the proceedings, the conference’s closing declaration, and press clippings. It was clear that in addition to addressing the technical jurisprudential arguments, the conference participants were equally interested in presenting their message to a Western audience.

The Mardin conference raised the ire of many jihadists and hardline Wahhabis. This was primarily because the conference had chosen to base itself on a fatwa by Ibn Taymiyya for the express purpose of arguing that this scholar, who is the jihadists’ and Wahhabis’ preferred medieval authority, is today being misinterpreted. (Some of the scholars who participated in the conference, such as the Grand Mufti of Bosnia Dr. Mustafa Ceric, are actually from schools of Islam that have historically been at odds with many of Ibn Taymiyya’s positions; the decision to focus on him as an authority was thus primarily a means of undermining the jihadists’ own arguments.) Prior to Anwar Al-Awlaki’s article in Inspire, denunciations of the conference had already been penned by Sheikh Abu Muhammad Al-Maqdisi, Sheikh Hamid Al-‘Ali of Kuwait, the Saudi Wahhabi Sheikh ‘Abd Al-‘Aziz Bin Muhammad Aal ‘Abd Al-Latif, the pseudonymous jihadist sheikhs Hussein Bin Mahmud and Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, and others.

ADL slams Shas spiritual leader for saying non-Jews ‘were born to serve Jews’

The Anti-Defamation League on Tuesday condemned comments about non-Jews made this past weekend by Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef.

In a sermon given on Saturday on laws concerning what non-Jews are permitted to do on Shabbat, Yosef said: “Goyim [non-Jews] were born only to serve us.

Without that, they have no place in the world – only to serve the People of Israel.”

“Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi and eat.”

According to Yosef, death has “no dominion” over non-Jews in Israel.

“With gentiles, it will be like any person – they need to die, but [God] will give them longevity. Why? Imagine that one’s donkey would die, they’d lose their money.

This is his servant… That’s why he gets a long life, to work well for this Jew.”

On Tuesday, the ADL said that Yosef’s comments contributed “to an atmosphere of hatred and a global trend of intolerance.”

“It is disturbing to see any religious leader, and particularly Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, use their podium to preach such hateful and divisive ideas,” ADL chief Abraham H.

Foxman said.

“In a world where bigotry and prejudice are prevalent, it is especially important for religious leaders to use their influence to teach respect and acceptance,” he continued.

In August, Yosef sparked controversy when he called for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to “perish from this world” and said that Palestinians were “evil, bitter enemies of Israel.”
