Crust Ripping Time in Israel is drawing Nigh!

Before you read the Excerpt which follows our heading, I want to make it crystal clear that I don’t agree with the Russian Scientists supposition concerning the crash of aircraft by the effect of tectonic plate bubbles in conjunction with solar magnetic surges. Such a thing might be possible, but I find it highly unlikely.

However, I do agree with the existence of a tectonic bubble along the Afar Depression, and am certain one day it will result in the ripping apart of the Jordan River Valley for some 1600 furlongs (185 miles) and the splitting of the Mount of Olives. I have been teaching this for 34 years. The only question in my mind as to the event occurring has been WHEN! Based on the occurrence of fulfilled biblical prophecies in other disciplines of eschatology, I believe the sudden initial cracking of the Jordan Valley is the earthquake of Revelation 6:12, which I believe likely to occur at some point in time between 2010 and 2015. The final great ripping will occur some 3 and ½ years later at Armageddon.

Revelation 6:12 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Revelation 16:16-19 – And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. [17] And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. [18] And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. [19] And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

The Book “Tectonic Chaos” – Chapter 1 – The Great Split

I began work on this book immediately after graduating from the MBS in Little Rock, Arkansas, and completed it in 1977 while doing post graduate work at ATU in Russellville, having graduated from ATU in 1976. I have received numerous requests to reprint it as I have been lecturing across the globe.

Because there was considerable duplication between it and my second book, “Tribulation Triad,” I deliberately let it go out of print, feeling some might feel cheated because of the volume of duplication. However, since many of my brethren kept bugging me for a copy, and since I only have two, one soft back, and one hard back, I decided to reprint and update it on our web site and, Lord willing, I will eventually put up all 36 chapters as time permits.

Chapter 1 – The Great Split

Zechariah 14:4 – And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

For hundreds of years preachers have proclaimed from God’s word this event would occur during the tribulation period, and the proclamation, as is normally the case, has been met will rolls of laughter from most of the scientific world.

Oddly enough, these scientists have, and still are, fulfilling a prophecy made by God through the prophet Daniel.

Daniel 12:4 – But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge

shall be increased.

Daniel’s prophecies concerning pre-tribulation events have, and are, being fulfilled, and indeed men and women have run “to and fro across”
the earth’s surface, “to and fro” into the universe, and “to and fro” in places beneath the earth’s land and water surface. This has produced a fantastic knowledge explosion in our understanding of the form and contents of God’s creation. The continuing fulfillment of Daniel 12:4 has convinced me that we are living in the days of “the time of the end.” And I am equally convinced these “to and fro” geological discoveries have so increased man’s knowledge that we now understand the basic form in which God designed the outer and enter crust of earth. These discoveries are in perfect agreement with what God revealed to the prophet Zechariah more than 2400 years ago.

Man has, in recent times, discovered a long, deep fault or “crack” in the earth’s crust that extends northward from the Red Sea through the Gulf of Eilat (Aqabah) into Israel and Lebanon. The Arabs identify it as the Gulf of Aqabah, and the Israelis call it the Gulf of Eilat. The fault itself is known to both as the “great rift valley fault”. It is a double fault in the sense that the two parts of it are separated by the valley floor between the two fault block mountains on it two sides.

The vast majority of earthquakes occur along both sides of the valley from Eilat to the Lebanese border.

It is the ripping open of this rift valley that will produce the earthquake responsible for the splitting of the Mount of Olives, which will itself be divided into a mini-rift valley as it spreads apart. (See Figures 30 to 33 in Birth Pangs).

The faults or “two cracks” in the earth’s surface are the northern part of a deep rift, or graben valley, which extends the length of the Red Sea, then southwestward through southeastern Africa. (See Figures 29 and 30 in Birth Pangs). The double cracks extend downward into molten magma beneath the earth’s surface. (See Birth Pang Figures 26 to 28). Widespread scientific exploration during the seventies fully exposed the spreading of the earth’s surface occurring in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and in southeastern Africa. Soon this splitting will extend northward unto the Jordan Valley, and, according to Zechariah 14:4, its effect will be sudden and dramatic.

The fantastic earthquake produced in this Jordan Valley Rift, some 30 miles east of Jerusalem, will be sudden and abrupt, as will be its effect on the Mount of Olives, which will be torn into two parts during that terrible time in the tribulation period. This “suddenness” is certainly in accord with the geologic structure of today. At the present the rift valley fault is spreading apart in the Red Sea at a rate of several centimeters each year, but the northern extension of the fault through Israel and Lebanon has been locked or “frozen” in place by tremendous tectonic forces.

When the spreading of the Red Sea fault reaches a certain critical (known only by God) both sides of the Jordan Valley will rip apart with a tremendous earthquake. This earthquake will cause the two faults, which now exist through the northern and southern flanks of the Mount of Olives, to move slightly, one north, and one south, and a new mini-graben valley will be formed between them as the middle of the mountain falls down between them. (See Birth Pang Figures 30 to 33).

When the northern and southern parts spread apart one part will be carried north with the Arabian tectonic plate, and the other will be carried south with the African tectonic plate.

Luke 21:25-27 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. [27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

I find little pleasure as an aged American watching Obama appoint an ever growing number of talking head czars to replace the elected officials we voted to send to the congress. They are taking over the country and the will of the American public as the majority of the young liberal voters and Hollywood personalities cheer them on. Any opposition to resist them is met with changes of idiocy or treason. The only good thing about this situation is that it was supposed to happen, and let’s me know the coming of the Lord is not a far distant event. I lost count as to how many czars Obama has already appointed or said he was planning to appoint, but it is no more or less than a part of his plan to put t

his country under his popular thumb, which is destined to turn to iron.

As a young man I was idealistic and believed perhaps WW-2 was the last of the wars as I heard my Dad, who was an engineer, had build a bridge across the Rhine River into Germany until fire, and his brother had set a record for the greatest number of combat missions flow in an A-36 (P-51 with dive brakes). But after Korea and Vietnam I became a man who faces both the reality of life and the truth of the Bible. Then I put away my childish idealism of thinking man could ever establish world peace before Christ came to enforce it.

The young generation that elected Obama, and Obama himself, are full of their idealist concepts of youth, and they are leading Americans into an abyss of terror that no man can stop. I can only assure it is coming, but I am powerless to stop it and, in fact, because I know how it ends with the Second Advent of Christ, I am very anxious for it to begin. Obama is leading us into the time of the great tribulation. The media and campaign leaders prophesied falsely, now his czars bear rule by their means, and the majority of Americans love to have it so – Sounds like it was before Jerusalem fell to enemies from the east in the time of Jeremiah.

Get ready for a repeat performance, because Israel is in the same spiritual condition today, as is the United States under Obama,

The UN’s chief nuclear watchdog, Mohamed ElBaradei, stated that he had concluded Iran was seeking nuclear weapons. Recent reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Institute for Science and International Security state that Iran will reach the nuclear threshold this year. Even the December 2007 U.S. National Intelligence Estimate stated that the earliest Iran would have a nuclear capability would be in 2010, which is less than six months away.

A nuclear-armed Iran is an existential threat to Israel, Saudi Arabia and other states in the region. The U.S. has chosen a course of action that will not prevent Iran from achieving nuclear capability. Therefore, other countries must take concerted action to stave off the threat.

Israel has the best-equipped conventional forces to undertake the mission, though we assume that other regional actors will cooperate on covert operations that no doubt are already taking place. It’s a shame the U.S. once again is relying on Israel to be the chief agent for nuclear counter proliferation in the Middle East. (Washington Times)

For over 80 years, as historian Benny Morris notes, Palestinians have “persuasively demonstrated” that they do not want any Jewish state in the region, regardless of the boundaries, and regardless of the settlement policy pursued by this Israeli government or that one.

Thus, in the 1930s, the Palestinians rejected a proposed two-state solution that would have created a Jewish state in less than 20% of Palestine. In the 1940s, the Palestinians rejected the UN partition plan which created a Jewish state on less than half of the arable land in Palestine. From 1948 to 1967, the Arabs created no Palestinian state.

Palestinians have been proclaiming somewhat indiscreetly that, actually, the trouble with Israel has nothing to do with settlements and everything to do with its existence, which, three generations after Israel’s founding, remains unacceptable.

The U.S. Administration’s purposeful distancing of itself from Israel is likely to empower those who believe that American support for Israel can be degraded, which will inadvertently deal whatever prospects exist for Middle East peace a serious blow.

Obama resorting to tried and tested ploy: Making friends at Jews’ expense

In World War II, most Europeans willingly supported the Nazis. The reason for this, which most people prefer to silence, is that Germany’s main sex appeal was its anti-Semitism.

In Western Europe, the overwhelming Jewish success in all areas of life prompted great jealousy, while in Eastern Europe the masses believed that the Jews are depriving them of the little they have.

The Nazis opened the dams – the legal, religious, and social ones – that protected the Jews against these ill feelings; from that point, it was permissible to openly hate Jews, and also to harm them and damage their property.

Europeans today do not feel comfortable to contend with the fact that the “license” to hunt Jews enabled the Nazi murderers to win the hearts and minds of others.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad, who is currently building a nuclear bomb and deflecting the world’s attention through Holocaust denial and threats to exterminate Israel, is also satisfying pent up sentiments. Even though one-third of them were exterminated, the Jews are again “riding high” – in the media, among the world’s billionaires, among Nobel Prize laureates, and in politics. Moreover, the cheeky Jewish state – a success story in its own right – took over Jerusalem.

Besides, the world doesn’ t like

to see strong and victorious Jews.

Yet how can one find an outlet for these frustrations in the shadow of the Holocaust, and with anti-Semitism no longer being fashionable

? There comes Ahmadinejad, and under the guise of slamming “Israel” – a code-word understood by all – openly calls for the extermination of the Jews. Who knows how many hearts he won by utilizing this Nazi patent.

Ahmadinejad’s great success story is the US president’s intention to meet him halfway, after Obama already reached the midpoint on his own, en route to captivating the hearts of nations fed up with the “ugly American”: the Iranians, the Europeans, the South Americans, and the Arabs.

And who has been left out? The Jews and their state, of course.

Settlement issue just a pretext

While seeking a way to get rid of the “friendship” that undermines America’s popularity – a friendship that Israel foolishly highlights to an unrealistic extent – Obama reached the same solution: Acquiring friends worldwide at the expense of the Jews, under the pretense of “Israel” of course.

This is good for public opinion, which blames the “Jewish” Wall Street for the economic crisis, and it’s also received well by the Europeans, who have never ceased to hate Jews and are again seeing them flourishing and taking up key posts. Mostly, this is the “Open Sesame” password aimed at those who will not believe in a “different America” until it parts ways with Israel.

Therefore, it will be naïve to think that because of some remote settlement we lost Obama’s “friendship”; the issue of settlement expansion is just a pretext, and others will follow.

Netanyahu was especially p athetic when he spoke,

at the home of the US ambassador to Israel, about a sort of eternal covenant with America. After all, every such public embrace requires the embraced party to show rejection in order to shake off the nuisance.

Why aren’t they telling us the truth; the fact that even today the hatred of Jews opens doors worldwide? Because this insight embarrasses and frustrates assimilated Jews, who hope to be “forgiven” for their Jewishness as long as they smear other Jews. It also embarrasses Jews who view Zionism as a way to assimilate as a collective.

Both these groups hoped, in vain, that Zionism will erase the notion of “a people dwelling alone” (Numbers 23:9). However, others view this “stain” as a sign of distinction and source of pride. For them, Obama’s distancing is not the end of the world.

The winds of Jew-hatred are again blowing across the world.

Those who have roots will be able to withstand them.

Syrian President Praises Obama’s Outreach For Dialogue, Invites Him To Visit Damascus

(AP) Syria’s leader praised President Barack Obama’s outreach for dialogue and invited him to visit Damascus in remarks released Friday just days after the United States said it plans to return its ambassador to Syria after a four year absence.

Syrian President Bashar Assad comments came in a telegram he sent to Obama on the occasion of the July 4 Independence Day and in an interview he gave to Britain’s Sky News.

Assad’s comments also come a month after Obama outlined in a historic speech in Egypt his determination to broker peace among Israel and its Arab neighbors and improve U.S. relations in the region.

“The values that were adopted by President Obama during his election campaign and after he was elected president are values that the world needs today,” Assad said in the telegram that was carried by state-run news agency SANA.

“It is very important to adopt the principle of dialogue in relations with countries based on respect and mutual interest,” Assad said.

In June, U.S Mideast envoy George Mitchell visited Damascus and met Assad in the highest visit by a U.S. official in more than four years. Mitchell’s visit followed two separate trips in the past few months by senior U.S. officials Jeffrey Feltman, acting assistant secretary of state, and Daniel Shapiro, a Middle East expert at the White House.

The Obama administration hopes the diplomatic outreach will encourage Syria to play a positive role in both the Mideast peace process and also in Iraq.

In an interview with Sky News, Assad invited Obama to visit Damascus in order to discuss Mideast peace.

“We would like to welcome him (Obama) in Syria, definitely. I am very clear about this,” Assad said in English. Asked whether such a visit could take place soon, Assad said: “That depends on him.”

He added with a smile, “I will ask you to convey the invitation to him.”

The Obama administration has stepped up pressure on Arab countries to help resume Israeli-Palestinian peace talks and pursue a peace deal with the Jewish state themselves.

Syria is seen as a key player in this process because of its support for the Palestinian militant group Hamas that controls the Gaza Strip and its intermittent peace talks with Israel.

Syria held four rounds of indirect talks with Israel last year, mediated by Turkey. But the discussions were halted during the Israeli offensive on Gaza in December and January.

Last week, Presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs said Obama’s plans to send back an ambassador to Syria.

The U.S. withdrew its ambassador to Syria in 2005 after the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

Some Lebanese politicians blamed Syria for the assassination, a claim that Damascus denies.

The U.S. also has accused Syria of not doing enough to stop the infiltration of militants to fight U.S. and allied forces in neighboring Iraq.

Our World: Avoiding an American ambush

It works out that US President Barack Obama is a man of heartfelt, long-held principles. It also works out that his principles are divorced from reality and unresponsive to any facts that contradict them.

This much was made clear by a New York Times report on Sunday which discussed a recently “rediscovered” 1983 article Obama published in a student magazine on the subject of nuclear disarmament when he was an undergraduate at Columbia University.

Obama’s article, “Breaking the war mentality,” was ostensibly a feature story showcasing two student organizations that advocated a freeze in the US’s nuclear arsenal. But the young Obama didn’t hesitate to use his platform to make his own, even more radical views known to his readers. As he put it: “The narrow focus of the Freeze movement, as well as academic discussion of first- versus second-strike capabilities, suit the military-industrial interests, as they continue adding to their
billion-dollar erector sets.”

Citing a Rastafarian reggae musician as his foreign policy authority, Obama
ruminated, “When Peter Tosh sings that ‘everybody’s asking for peace, but nobody’s asking for justice,’ one is forced to wonder whether disarmament or arms control issues, severed from economic and political issues, might be another instance of focusing on the symptoms of a problem, instead of the disease itself.”

As one of the freeze advocates explained gently, contending with “the disease itself” was an unachievable goal since “you’re not going to get rid of the military in the Near future.”

THERE IS NOTHING shocking about Obama’s embrace of radical politics as a college student. Particularly at Columbia, adopting such positions was the most conformist move a student could make.

What is disturbing is that these views have endured over time, although they were overtaken by events 20 years ago.

Just six years after Obama penned his little manifesto, the Iron Curtain came crashing down. The Soviet empire fell not because radicals like Obama called for the US to destroy its nuclear arsenal, it fell because president Ronald Reagan ignored them and vastly expanded the US’s nuclear arsenal while deploying short-range nuclear warheads in Europe and launching the US’s missile defense program

while renouncing the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty.

On Monday Obama arrived in Moscow for a round of disarmament talks with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev. According to most accounts, while in Moscow Obama plans to abandon US allies Ukraine and Georgia and agree to deep cuts in US missile defense programs. In exchange, Moscow is expected to consider joining Washington in cutting back on its nuclear arsenal just as the likes of Iran and North Korea build up theirs.

Of course, even if Russia doesn’t agree to scale back its nuclear arsenal, Obama has already ensured that the US will slash the size of its own by refusing to fund its modernization. In short, Obama is working to implement the precise policy he laid out as an unoriginal student conformist 26 years ago.

BY NOW of course, none of this is particularly surprising. Since entering office seven long months ago, Obama has demonstrated that his guiding philosophy for foreign affairs is that the US and its allies are to blame for their adversaries’ hostility toward them. All that needs to happen for peace to break out throughout the world is for the US and its allies to quit clinging to their guns and religions and start apologizing for their rudeness. In furtherance of this goal, Obama has devoted himself to putting the screws on US allies, slashing America’s defense budget and embarking on a worldwide tour apologizing to US adversaries.

The basic reality that the US is being led by a radical ideologue who clings to his views in the face of overwhelming proof of their falsity is the most fundamental fact that world leaders must reckon with today as they formulatepolicies to contend with the Obama administration. This is first and foremost the case for Israel.

Since the Netanyahu government took office three months ago, the Obama administration has placed inordinate pressure on Jerusalem in a bid to coerce it into making massive concessions to the Palestinians. These concessions are demanded not for peace, but simply for the sake of placing pressure on Israel. Obama wishes to pressure Israel to show his good intentions to the Arabs and Iran.

TO DATE, Obama’s loudest demand has been to officially prohibit all Jewish construction in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Although the demand is intrinsically bigoted, illegal and immoral, and although the consequences of the expulsion of all Jews from Gaza in 2005 show that Israeli land giveaways and ethnic cleansing bring war not peace, the Netanyahu government has opted not to get into an open confrontation with the administration on the issue.

Instead, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his government have sought to treat Obama’s offensive as a routine disagreement between otherwise close allies.

Rather than defending the principles of Jewish national, legal and human rights and the country’s right to security, Netanyahu has sought to reach an accommodation with Obama by reducing the discussion to a conversation about the inevitable natural growth of Jewish communities due to expanding families.

But what Obama’s slavish devotion to his radical world view shows is that Netanyahu’s decision to seek an accommodation is not simply an exercise in futility, it is a recipe for disaster. Obama and his advisers do not care that Jewish fertility rates are the fastest rising in the world. They do not care that by arguing for a complete halt in “natural” growth, they are effectively adopting a eugenics argument the likes of which no US policy-maker has dared to advance since before the Holocaust. They are looking to fight because they believe that the US is best served by fighting with its allies – particularly with Israel. Any concession Netanyahu makes will just form the basis for the next round of demands.

Far from seeking an agreement with Obama, Netanyahu should realize that given the president’s ideological rigidity, there is no agreement to be had. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, Netanyahu’s goal should be to prolong discussions until Obama finds someone else to pick on.

Rather than making wrongheaded concessions to Obama on Jewish population growth in the vain hope of mollifying him, Israel should go on the offensive on issues where it has something to gain from a confrontation. Two specific issues – aside from Iran’s nuclear program – should be raised in this regard.

FIRST, IN recent months the Obama administration has applied massive pressure on Israel to remove its military forces from Judea and Samaria, curtail its counterterror operations and allow US-trained, anti-Israel Palestinian military forces to deploy in the towns and cities. Rather than openly oppose these demands, in the interests of cultivating good relations, the Netanyahu government has gone along with the program.

This it has done in spite of the fact that the Palestinian forces now deploying throughout the areas have a history of participating in and supporting terror attacks against Israel as well as terrorizing their own people.

Last week the government quietly announced that the IDF is pulling out of most Palestinian population centers and turning the keys over to these hostile US-trained forces.

This was a mistake.

In the weeks to come, the government should bluntly and publicly discuss and protest Fatah political and military leaders’ continued support for terrorists and terrorist attacks against Israel. Netanyahu and his government should also detail human-rights abuses Fatah personnel routinely carry out against Palestinian journalists, businessmen and other civilians. The administration should be forced to defend its decision to empower these corrupt, terror-supporting brutes at the expense of Israel’s security, and to force US taxpayers to foot the bill for its cockamamie priorities.

THE SECOND ISSUE is US military aid. For years Israel’s detractors have pointed to this aid as “proof” that Israel is a strategic burden for America.

But in recent years, and particularly since the Obama administration took office, it is becoming increasingly clear that US military assistance may be a greater burden for Israel than for the US.

On Sunday The Jerusalem Post reported that the Pentagon has forced Israel Aerospace Industries to back out of a joint partnership with a Swedish aerospace company to compete in a multi-billion dollar tender to sell new multi-role fighters to the Indian air force. And as the Post reported, this is the second major deal the Pentagon has forced Israel to withdraw from in the past year. Last summer it was forced to bow out of a $500 million tender to supply the Turkish army with a new ain battle tank.

In both cases, US firms were competing in the tenders and the Pentagon threatened that Israeli participation would risk continued US-Israeli cooperation.

Today the Israel Air Force faces the prospect of not having a new-generation fighter. The Pentagon has placed so many draconian restrictions on its purchase of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and raised the price so high, that it makes little strategic or economic sense to purchase it. So too, last week the Israel Navy nnounced it has decided to explore the option of building its own warships rather than buy one of two competing US naval platforms as planned because the US contractors’ costs have gone up so high.

The Navy is also taking into consideration the fact that by building domestic platforms, it will provide needed employment to shipyard workers.

All in all, both in terms of pure economics and in terms of the massive and constantly escalating restrictions the Obama administration is now placing on Israeli use of US technologies and munitions, maintaining US military assistance makes less and less sense with each passing day.

ate a conversation about cutting back on this assistance, it would be able to ensure that the talks take place on its terms. Moreover, given the fact that Israel may indeed be best served by simply ending its military assistance package, the risk involved in such discussions would not be particularly earth shattering.

Finally, by making clear that it is not dependent on Obama’s kindness, it would be expanding its maneuvering room on other issues as well.

What Obama’s radicalism tells us is that he is not a man who is moved by rational discourse. He is not a man who is willing to be convinced that he is mistaken.

But even in these dire circumstances, Israel is not without good options for securing its interests vis-à-vis Washington.

To do so, Jerusalem must first understand that it gains nothing from making concessions to a president bent on picking a fight with it.

Then it must recognize that there are issues where a confrontation with Obama can serve its interests.

Finally it must pursue those issues with energy and passion.
