Following the completion of the conquest of Canaan by the Israelite tribes after about 1200 BCE, Joshua allocated the land among the twelve tribes.

Dan was allocated the MOST NORTHERLY REGION, TO THE NORTH OF THE GALILEE, and west of the Jordan, stretching north as far as Laish, Dan’s main city (which became known as Dan).

In the Biblical census of the Book of Numbers, the tribe of Dan is portrayed as the second largest Israelite tribe (after Juda).

According to the Bible, the Israelites invaded the Amorite homeland in Golan and took it from them. Dt 3:1: “Next we turned and went up along the road toward Bashan, and Og king of Bashan with his whole army marched out to meet us in battle at Edrei.” Dt 3:2: “The LORD said to me, “Do not be afraid of him, for I have handed him over to you with his whole army and his land. Do to him what you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon.” Dt 3:3: “So the LORD our God also gave into our h ands Og king of Bashan

and all his army.

We struck them down, leaving no survivors.” Dt 3:4: “At that time we took all his cities. There was not one of the sixty cities that we did not take from them—the whole region of Argob, Og’s kingdom in Bashan.” Dt 3:5:”All these cities were fortified with high walls and with gates and bars, and there were also a great many unwalled villages.” Dt 3:6: “We completely destroyed [a] them, as we had done with Sihon king of Heshbon, destroying [b] every city—men, women and children.” Dt 3:7: “But all the livestock and the plunder from their cities we carried off for ourselves.”

According to the Bible, the area, later known as Bashan, was inhabited by two Israelite tribes during the time of Joshua, the tribe of Dan — Dt 33:22: “And of Dan he said: Dan is a lion’s whelp, that leapeth forth from Bashan” and Tribe of Manasseh. The city of Golan was used as a city of refuge. King Solomon appointed 3 ministers in the region — 1 Kg 4:13: “the son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him pertained the villages of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; even to him pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brazen bars”. After the split of the United Monarchy, the area was contested between the Kingdom of Israel (the northern of the two Jewish kingdoms existent at that time) and the Aramean kingdom from the 800s BC. King Ahab of Israel (reigned 874–852 BC) defeated Ben-Hadad I in the southern Golan. According to Jewish law the Golan is regarded as part of Canaan which is holier than the parts east of the Jordan river.[citation needed]

In the 700s BC the Assyrians gained control of the area, but were later replaced by the Babylonian and the Persian Empire.

In the 5th century BC, the Persian Empire allowed the region to be resettled by returning Jewish exiles from Babylonian Captivity.

The Golan Heights, along with the rest of the region, came under the control of Alexander the Great in 332 BC, following the Battle of Issus. Following Alexander’s death, the Golan came under the domination of the Macedonian noble Seleucus and remained part of the Seleucid Empire for most of the next two centuries. It is during this period that the name Golan, previously that of a city mentioned in Deuteronomy, came to be applied to the entire region (Greek: Gaulanitis).

The Maccabean Revolt saw much action in the regions around the Golan and it is possible that the Jewish communities of the Golan were among those rescued by Judas Maccabeus during his campaign in the Galilee and Gilead (Transjordan) mentioned in Chapter 5 of 1 Maccabees. The Golan, however, remained in Seleucid hands until the campaign of Alexander Jannaeus from 83–80 BC. Jannaeus established the city of Gamla in 81 BC as the Hasmonean capital for the region.

Following the death of Herod the Great in 4 BC, Augustus Caesar adjudicated that the Golan fell within the Tetrarchy of Herod’s son, Herod Philip I. After Philip’s death in 34 AD, the Romans absorbed the Golan into the province of Syria, but Caligula restored the territory to Herod’s grandson Agrippa in 37. Following Agrippa’s death in 44, the Romans again annexed the Golan to Syria, promptly to return it again when Claudius traded the Golan to Agrippa II, the son of Agrippa I, in 51 as part of a land swap. Although nominally under Agrippa’s control and not part of the province of Judea, the Jewish communities of the Golan joined their coreligionists in the First Jewish-Roman War, only to fall to the Roman armies in its early stages. Gamla was captured in 67; according to Josephus, its inhabitants committed mass suicide, preferring it

to crucifixion and slavery. Agrippa II contributed soldiers to the Roman war effort and attempted to negotiate an end to the revolt. In return for his loyalty, Rome allowed him to retain his kingdom, but finally absorbed the Golan for good after his death in 100.

With the growth of the threat from Philistine incursions, the Israelite tribes decided to form a strong centralised monarchy to meet the challenge, and the Tribe of Dan joined the new kingdom with Saul as the first king. After the death of Saul, all the tribes other than Judah remained loyal to the House of Saul, but after the death of Ish-bosheth, Saul’s son and successor to the throne of Israel, the Tribe

of Dan joined the other northern Israelite tribes in making David, who was then the king of Judah, king of a re-united Kingdom of Israel. However, on the accession of Rehoboam, David’s grandson, in c. 930 BC the northern tribes split from the House of David to reform a Kingdom of Israel as the Northern Kingdom. Dan was a member of the kingdom until the kingdom was conquered by Assyria in c. 723 BC and the population deported. It is worth noting that the territory of the handmaid tribes happens to be the territory closest to the north and eastern borders of Canaan; they were the most exposed to Israel’s immediate enemies – Assyria and Aram.

According to the biblical narrative, the tribe had originally tried to settle in the central coastal area of Palestine, but due to enmity with the Philistines who had already settled there, were only able to camp in the hill country overlooking the Sorek Valley, the camp location becoming known as Mahaneh Dan (“Camps of Dan”). (Joshua 19) The region they were trying to settle included the area as far north as Joppa, and extending south into the Shephelah in the area of Timnah; as a result, the modern state of Israel, as well as some zionists, refer to the region as Gush Dan (the Dan area). However, as a consequence of the pressure from the Philistines, the tribe abandoned hopes of settling near the central coast, instead migrating to the north of the country, and after conquering Laish, refounded it as their capital (renaming it Dan). (Judges 18)

Numbers 1:39 – Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.

Joshua 19:47,48 – And the coast of the children of Dan went out too little for them: therefore the children of Dan went up to fight against Leshem, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and possessed it, and dwelt therein, and called Leshem, Dan, after the name of Dan their father. Judges 18:29-31 – And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born unto Israel: howbeit the name of the city was Laish at the first. [30] And the children of Dan set up the graven image: and Jonathan, the son of Gershom,

the son of Manasseh, he and his sons were priests to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land. [31] And they set them up Micah’s graven image, which he made, all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh.

1 Samuel 3:18-20 – And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him.

I have traveled over the entire land area of the Golan Heights and Tel Dan many times, as well as the top of mighty Mount Herman. The Golan Heights is a part of the Lord’s land gift to Israel, as well as both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Turkish leader presses Israel to return Golan

DAMASCUS, Syria – Turkey’s prime minister said Wednesday his country is prepared to resume mediating in the Arab-Israeli conflict and pressed Israel to return the Golan Heights to Syria.

The Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan also strongly reprimanded Palestinians for the divisions between the West Bank-based Palestinian Authority and Hamas militants who run the Gaza Strip.

“(Palestinian) brothers are living apart from each other… What kind of brotherhood is that?” he asked.

Erdogan helped mediate last year in four rounds of indirect peace negotiations between Israel and Syria. But Syria suspended them in December over Israel’s military offensive in Gaza.

“Unfortunately, with the Gaza incidents, this process was obstructed. Our wish would be that this not be obstructed, and this negativity be removed by returning Syria’s rights,” Erdogan said after meeting with President Bashar Assad in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo.

Before he left Turkey, Erdogan reiterated his country’s readiness to help restart indirect talks between Syria and Israel. Turkey has also offered to mediate in other tracks of the Arab-Israeli peace process.

“New requests regarding this process may come up. … In fact, they have already started to come,” Erdogan told a news conference.

He did not say who made the requests.

Syria has said it is willing to resume the Turkish-mediated talks if they focus on a complete Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights, captured in 1967. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he is not willing to cede the territory Syria wants.

A government newspaper, Al-Thawra, said in an editorial Wednesday that Syria wants to restore all of Golan and would not agree to start negotiations from scratch.

“It’s not in the interest of peace to waste time or efforts or to return to point zero under the pretext of preconditions,” it said in an editorial. “Moving toward negotiations means an endorsement of a full withdrawal from the occupied land.”

Assad said in a newspaper interview in March that the Turkish-mediated talks failed because Israel would not make a clear commitment to return all of the Golan up to the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee.

Assad said Israel wanted to keep some disputed land around the Galilee, its main water source.

Israel, for its part, demands that Syria end its support for the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah and the Palestinian Hamas.

Direct talks between Israel and Syria under U.S. auspices also failed in 2000 over the extent of an Israeli withdrawal from the Golan.

Last month, President Barack Obama’s special Mideast peace envoy, George Mitchell, became the highest-level U.S. administration official to visit Damascus since 2005. He acknowledged Syria’s clout, declaring Damascus has a key role to play in forging Mideast peace.

Hundreds planning Temple Mount ascent

Hundreds of right-wing activists are intending to attempt to march up to the Temple Mount next Thursday morning, Tisha Be’Av, in protest of the US demand to cease construction in east Jerusalem.

March organizer Gershon Salomon told the Jerusalem Post that as opposed to previous years when only a few dozen participants at most tried to go up to the mount, this year he was hoping for hundreds to protest the “US pressure to stop settlement activity, and east Jerusalem construction in particular, and also the apparent weakness of our leaders,” which he said he feared would lead to a “division of Jerusalem and the loss of the Temple Mount.”

“We’re concerned that in the end, the Temple Mount will be part of a Palestinian state, with US backing,” he told the Post.

“We will say to [US President Barack] Obama, ‘Get your hands off Jerusalem and the land of Israel!”

He said flyers about the protest contained the message that “we’ll let Barack Hussein Obama and Binyamin Netanyahu know that we’re not moving from here,” as well as the words: “Go to the Bible to find out to whom this land belongs!”

Salomon expressed hope that unlike previous years, this time the security forces would allow the group to ascend the mount.

“What a tragedy that police have made it off limits to Jews,” he lamented, “There is no [Israeli] flag, no talit, no siddur – and our requests to hold a reading of the Scroll of Lamentations there on Tisha Be’av were turned down.”

He said that the site had effectively been taken over by the Wakf.

Salomon said that the demonstration was set to begin at the gates of the Temple Mount at 11:30 on that morinng of Tisha Be’Av (Thursday), while the attempted ascent would begin at approximately 1:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, United Nations chief Ban Ki-moon added to the pressure on Israel to freeze east Jerusalem construction.

“I urge the government of Israel to commit fully to its obligations, including to freeze settlement activity and natural growth,” said Ban in a message to a United Nations meeting in Geneva on the Middle East.

“If Israel continues settlement activity, it will not only be acting contrary to international law but also to a strong international consensus.”

He said if Israel did freeze settlement activity, it would “facilitate a new environment of cooperation and common purpose from the countries in the region.”

France summons Israel envoy over building in East Jerusalem

A senior official in France’s Foreign Ministry questioned Israel’s ambassador, Daniel Shek, on Thursday over Israeli construction in West Bank settlements and East Jerusalem, which he demanded be halted immediately.

French Foreign Ministry spokesman Eric Chevallier said an immediate freeze in settlement construction, including in east Jerusalem, was indispensable for preserving a two-state solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. He said the move was also necessary for allowing the resumption of peace talks.

Shek said in response that Jerusalem is not a settlement, and that construction in the capital is carried out legally and in accordance with municipal decisions.

He added that both Jews and Arabs have complete freedom to live wherever they desire in Jerusalem.

Chevallier said Shek was also told in the meeting with the ministry’s political director that Israel should open checkpoints regularly to allow the reconstruction of Gaza.

The French ministry expressed concern about difficulties French diplomats have experienced in getting around the Palestinian territories because of Israeli security measures.

U.S. warns Israel not to build up West Bank corridor

The U.S. administration has issued a stiff warning to Israel not to build in the area known as E-1, which lies between Jerusalem and the West Bank settlement of Ma’aleh Adumim. Any change in the status quo in E-1 would be “extremely damaging,” even “corrosive,” the message said.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed in the past to finally build the controversial E-1 housing project – as have several premiers before him, though none has done so due to American pressure. He opened his recent election campaign with a visit to Ma’aleh Adumim in which he declared: “I will link Jerusalem to Ma’aleh Adumim via the Mevasseret Adumim neighborhood, E-1. I want to see one continuous string of built-up Jewish neighborhoods.”

He has also warned in the past that failure to build in E-1 would allow the Palestinians to create territorial contiguity around Jerusalem. Just before his government was installed this spring, the media reported that Netanyahu had reached an agreement with his largest coalition partner, Yisrael Beiteinu, to unfreeze construction in E-1. However, that clause was ultimately not included in the coalition agreement.

The plans for E-1 call for building 3,500 housing units, along with commercial areas and tourism sites, to create a single urban expanse stretching from Jerusalem to Ma’aleh Adumim and strengthen Israel’s hold on East Jerusalem, which would then be completely surrounded by Jewish neighborhoods.

The United States has always vehemently opposed this plan, fearing it would deprive a future Palestinian state of territorial contiguity, cut the West Bank in two and sever East Jerusalem from the rest of the West Bank – all of which would thwart any hope of signing a final-status agreement and establishing a Palestinian state.

President Barack Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush, vigorously opposed building in E-1 during the terms of prime ministers Ariel Sharon and Ehud Olmert.

Sharon did approve construction of a police station in E-1, and under Olmert, infrastructure work in the area continued. But neither ever approved construction of either the residential units or the commercial buildings, for fear of a confrontation with the United States.

Four years ago, after resigning from Sharon’s government, Netanyahu attacked him for giving in to American pressure on E-1. “A sovereign government must build in its eternal capital,” he said. “Sharon set a precedent that will lead to the division of Jerusalem.”

The Obama’s administration – which opposes all construction in East Jerusalem, even of a few houses – would be

even more outraged by a large-scale project such as E-1.

It is demanding a moratorium on Jewish building in East Jerusalem until an agreement is reached on the city’s legal status, arguing that the cumulative effect of even small-scale projects would destroy any chance of a peace agreement and arouse fierce opposition in the Arab world, especially among East Jerusalem Arabs. Small projects include the construction of 20 apartments in the Shepherd Hotel in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood or plans to build new Jewish housing in Silwan.

At Sunday’s cabinet meeting, however, Netanyahu rejected this American stance. “United Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. Our sovereignty in it is not subject to appeal, and among other things, this means that Jerusalem residents can buy apartments anywhere in the city,” he said. “We cannot accept the idea that Jews should not have the right to live and buy anywhere in Jerusalem.”

Next week, three senior American officials will visit Israel: special envoy George Mitchell, National Security Advisor James Jones and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates. Mitchell will continue his efforts to reach agreement on a settlement freeze, including in East Jerusalem, while the other two will focus on the Iranian threat.

The corps has assumed an increasingly assertive role in virtually every aspect of Iranian society and its aggressive drive to silence dissenting views has led many political analysts to describe the events surrounding the June 12 presidential election as a military coup. “It is not a theocracy anymore,” said Rasool Nafisi, an expert in Iranian affairs. “It is a regular military security government with a facade of a Shiite clerical system.” The corps has become a vast military-based conglomerate, with control of Iran’s missile batteries, oversight of its nuclear program, and a multibillion-dollar business empire reaching into nearly every sector of the economy. (Israelnationalnews.com) Horrific stories are now being released of the crushing hand of Iran’s state militia, used against citizens opposed to the rule of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and especially against women.

Since the re-election of Ahmadinejad in late June, which was protested by many anti-Islamic Revolutionary Iranians as fixed, protests have swept through the Iranian capital city of Tehran and the rest of the country, demanding a recount of votes and the appointment of opposition presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi as president of Iran.

Yet that is not what has happened. With Ahmadinejad’s victory declared official, paramilitary mercenaries loyal to Khamenei have taken to the streets, terrorizing citizens and beating protesters, some to the point of death.

Amateur videos attributed to Iranian students have saturated internet video sharing sites. One, showing the street shooting and slow death of female student and protester Neda Soltan, has come to symbolize the violent and oppressive Iranian regime.

The Basij militia, founded by First Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini in 1979, are being heavily employed to instill fear in protestors. Receiving their orders from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, they are ardently loyal to the current religious leader, Khameini.

Populated primarily by youth seeking official benefits, the organization has not just been employed to crack down on anti-government actions, but generally enforces strict dress and social codes against women as well as spying out immoral conduct such as the distribution of anti-government propaganda or the possession of satellite dishes.

Reports are now surfacing that on June 14, Basiji militants broke into the dormitories of Tehran University against Iranian law, terrorizing students and murdering five

of them. In a report by Britain’s Guardian newspaper, 133 students were snatched from their beds in

the middle of the night, following a severe beating of several students in front of the main gate to the university during the day.

Approximately a quarter of them were taken to the basement of the Interior Ministry where vote counting was taking place. The rest were taken to a security police building, some reporting mistreatment and others torture.

Five students died during the attack, being beaten repeatedly on

the head with electric batons and buried the next day without notification to their families, according to the Guardian. After they were informed, families were warned not to mention their children or hold funerals, as was the case with the family of Soltan.

It is not yet possible to ascertain the number of injuries and casualties sustained by protestors, as hospitals and medical personnel have been forbidden from publicizing the facts. However, casualty estimates by human rights organizations have reached as high as 500, a far cry from the government’s toll of 20.

A sobering interview with an anonymous veteran Basiji militant published last week in the Jerusalem Post reveals the complicity of religious authorities in years of rape of female prisoners, deemed “marriages” by prison mullahs.

Basiji youth frequently perform street thefts and sexual assaults against girls too frightened to protest, said the source.

But once behind bars and sentenced to execution, young women are “married” to Basiji prison guards, who rape them the evening prior to their deaths.

Iranian law forbids the execution of virgins, regardless of their crimes. Non-consensual prison marriages are therefore performed to enable the state to execute the female criminals.

According to the source, young women are frequently drugged on their wedding nights, because of their fear. In the morning, said the anonymous Basiji, girls seem more ready to die.

Laws against Iranian women, while not seen to be as harsh as those promulgated against Saudi women and others in the Islamic world, are still disproportionately strict.

Punishments for crimes such as adultery occasionally result in public stonings, though the practice was officially banned in 2002. In such cases, women are guilty until proven innocent – for men accused of adultery, the opposite is true.

The last parable Balaam issued in Numbers concerning future events in the Middle East has to do with the final battle of Armageddon at the close of the Age of the Gentiles.

I do not believe the navies of the world powers will actively engage until the very last battle of Armageddon, which will be one single horrific battle that will end at Christ’s Second Advent.

Numbers 24:23-25 – And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!

[24] And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever. [25] And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.

The ships of Russia, America, Great Britain, and France will literally blanket the Mediterranean Sea during the tribulation period, but will not actively join in the final war between Islam and Israel until the final battle of it, which will be the great battle of Armageddon.

The Russians have been setting these Syrian ports up for some time now, as the old February 25, 2006 Blog indicates.

As I detailed in Archive Prophecy Update Numbers 27 and 28, the many descendants of Magog, at the time of Ezekiel’s writings, covered that part of the globe we now identify as Russia. Russian will be a part of the many nations that come down to attack Israel at the final battle

of Armageddon, but it will not be a part of the attack of 10 Arab nations that come to attack the Israelis some three and one-half years before Armageddon. Russia, the European Union, China, Eurasia, and Africa will be invited by the Assyrian Antichrist to be active partners in the final great battle of Armageddon against Israel in the Negev. The vast world oil reserves of the Middle East will be too much of a temptation for them to ignore.

A task force led by the Moskva and the Azov landing ship became the first Russian naval force in a decade to call at a Syrian port.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report: The force sailed out of its home port of Sevastopol on the Black Sea, on Feb. 5, to join a NATO-led anti-terrorist operation in the Mediterranean for a combined three-month drill focusing on combating

the smuggling of weapons of mass destruction, illegal weapons trade and migration.

The drill is named The Active Endeavors Operation. NATO leaders and US army chiefs were keen enough on Russian participation for NATO secretary general Jaap de Hoop Scheffer to promise the gesture of the first visit by an alliance chief aboard the Moskva. However, neither he nor the Americans taking part in the exercise had any idea that the Russian naval force intended to break away from the exercise long enough to put in at a Syrian port – a call which Syrian president Bashar Assad took as a gesture of support from Moscow.

The visit underlined the Kremlin’s plan to play a larger part in the military affairs of the Middle East, largely by making friendly overtures to America’s adversaries. President Vladimir Putin’s invitation to discuss arms sales in Moscow with an invited Hamas delegation was part of this picture.

The Moskva missile cruiser was built in 1982 to hunt down and destroy aircraft carriers. It underwent major repairs which were completed in 2000.

It carries a 510-man crew and its main armament is the Bazalt cruise missile, which weighs 6 tons, has a speed of Mach 2.5 and range of 550 km. The 186.5-meter vessel can carry either a nuclear warhead or a 500-kilo conventional one.

Its S300f anti air system stretches over the Moskva an aerial umbrella with a 75 kilometer radius.

It is also equipped to fight submarines. On Feb. 15, in the course of the NATO drill, the Moskva captured the British destroyer the Nottingham when it played the part of the enemy. The Russian cruiser also seized the Spanish frigate Navarro.

Russia builds key naval HQ in Syria: Missile presence worries Israel

A high-ranking Russian navy source reported July 21 that the Soviet-era naval maintenance base near Tartus in Syria is to be expanded and modernized to become “fully operational.” DEBKAfile’s military sources report that Russian is building the facility up as its main sea base for operations in four seas: The Atlantic and Indian Oceans and the Mediterranean and Red Seas. The upgrade of Russian port facilities at Tartus, its only foothold in the Mediterranean, will automatically enhance Moscow’s strategic interests in Syria and Bashar Assad’s regime.

The Russian source said that the 50 naval personnel and three berthing floats currently deployed at Tartus with accommodation for up a dozen warships will be beefed up with a new berthing float delivered by two tugboats from the Black Sea Fleet. DEBKAfile’s sources disclose that those warships will include large vessels such as the nuclear-armed guided missile cruiser Peter the Great and the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov, which called in at Tartus in January.

In September 2008, DEBKAfile first disclosed that the Russian Navy commander Adm.

Vladimir Vysotsky and his Syrian counterpart Gen. Taleb al-Barri, had signed contracts for converting Tartus into one of Russia’s most highly-developed naval infrastructures outside its territory.

Its warships based there will capable of reaching the Red Sea through the Suez Canal and the Atlantic through the Strait of Gibraltar in a matter of days.

Israel is deeply concerned, according to our military sources, by the sophisticated air-defense S-300PMU-2 and Iskander-E missile systems the Russians propose to hand Syria on the pretext of installing a shield to defend the facility against air or missile attack.

Moscow claims they will remain under the control of Russian crews but, according to information reaching Israel, they will be quietly and gradually handed over to the Syrian army; the Russian teams are in fact instructors.

Russia justifies this, according to DEBKAfile’s Moscow sources, by the deployment of the highly sophisticated American FBX-T missile-interception radar systems at the Israeli Negev base of Nevatim.

Furthermore, Moscow will have its rejoinder for the disputed US deployment of missile interceptors in Eastern Europe.

As we reported last September, the Russian Black Sea fleet and new Mediterranean-based warships will coordinate their operations under a single command.

They are designed as counter-deployments to the post-Georgian-war US and NATO naval presence in the Black Sea as well as its fleets in other parts of the Mediterranean including Israel’s shores.

The fact that many Americans simply will not accept is that war with the forces of Islamic belief is inevitable, because this coming world war, which will first engulf the Middle East, and eventually affect the entire world at Armageddon, is an ideological war based on theology which has penetrated deep into the Shiite soul of Islam. This fanatical Shiite belief will soon inflame the Sunni ranks long enough for Shiite iron and Sunni clay to hold together for some three and one-half years, but the bond will finally break apart and crumble into pieces at Armageddon.

This coming conflict, which I guesstimate is likely to begin at some point in time between 2010 and 2015, cannot be prevented by diplomacy or by force. The only unanswered question is WHEN it will begin!

My major purpose in this life has not been to advise HOW to prevent it, but rather to warn people to get their souls READY for it! Whatever you intent to do about accepting Jesus as Savior, or in serving him after you know him as Savior, you had better get do it quickly, because this thing in the Middle East will eventually explode suddenly at a point in time AFTER American troops are pulled out.

The god of his forefathers (descendants of the 12 grandsons of Abraham through Ishmael and the six sons of Abraham through Keturah) was not Allah. Allah was introduced much later by Muhammad. So he will have no regard for Abraham’s God through Isaac and Jacob. He will not regard the desire of women, which does not mean he will be gay, but that he will not regard their desires, but will rather treat them with disrespect and contempt, lowering their status to that of a possession like livestock. In fact, he will consider all things inferior to himself, inwardly having no respect for even Allah.

The Antichrist will be an inhuman man in a human body filled with the spirit of Satan, and he will lead 10 Islamic nations against Israel three and one-half years before the final battle of Armageddon.

Jerusalem, July 19: In a startling disclosure, a serving member of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s loyal militia, has revealed how his duty required him to temporarily marry and rape young Iranian girls before executing them.

In Iran, it is illegal to execute a young woman, if she is a virgin, he explained.

Therefore a wedding ceremony is conducted the night before the execution, and the young girl is forced to have sexual intercourse with a prison guard, he said.

“I regret that, even though the marriages were legal. Because I could tell that the girls were more afraid of their ‘wedding’ night than of the execution that awaited them in the morning. By morning the girls would have an empty expression; it seemed like they were ready or wanted to die,” The Jerusalem Post quoted him, as saying.

The Basiji member who joined the militia at the age of 16 says that the scream of young women still haunts him.

“I remember hearing them cry and scream after [the rape] was over,” he said. “I will never forget how this one girl clawed at her own face and neck with her finger nails afterwards. She had deep scratches all over her,” he said.

Founded by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1979 as a “people’s militia,” the volunteer Basiji force is subordinate to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and intensely loyal to Khomeini’s successor, Khamenei.

The member, now married with children, spoke soon after his release by the Iranian authorities from detention.

He had been held for the “crime” of having set free two Iranian teenagers – a 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl – who had been arrested during the disturbances that have followed the disputed June presidential elections.

“There have been many other police and members of the security forces arrested because they have shown leniency toward the protesters out on the streets, or released them from custody without consulting our superiors,” he said.

Sudanese Journalist Who Invited Press to Attend Her Court Hearing and Flogging: I Am Fighting for All Women

The issue of abuse of women by Sudan’s public order police recently gained prominence in the Sudanese and other media, after Sudanese journalist Lubna Ahmad Hussein and 12 other women were arrested in Khartoum on July 3, 2009, for wearing trousers. Two days later, 10 of the women were summoned to the police station and received punishments of 10 lashes each.

Charges were brought against three others, including Hussein, for inappropriate dress and conduct.

Clause 152 of Sudanese criminal law mandates up to 40 lashes and/or a fine for inappropriate dress as well as for conduct that contravenes accepted norms.

Incidents of this kind are widespread in Sudan, and are usually disregarded by the local and global media.

Hussein, however, decided to bring the issue to the attention of the public, and printed 500 invitations to her court proceedings and to the flogging to which she would likely be sentenced, distributing them to journalists and friends. Her move was intended as a protest against the aforementioned criminal law clause, as well as against the actions of the public order police, which, she believes, systematically violate the human rights of Sudanese women.

In an interview with Al-Arabiyya TV, Hussein explained that she had given out the invitations because otherwise no one would believe that she was to be flogged for wearing ordinary clothes: “I wanted the punishment to be executed in the presence of observers, so that they see for themselves why I was being flogged.”

Arab Human Rights Organization: The Sudanese Government is Taking Revenge on an Opposition Journalist

The Arab Network for Human Rights Information issued an announcement condemning Hussein’s arrest and her expected punishment, calling it an act of revenge against her for publishing articles critical of the Sudanese government:

“These are cheap accusations, used only by tyrannical governments. The Sudanese government must show courage and say out loud that this brave journalist’s writings have caused it embarrassment, instead of resorting to allegations and indiscriminate revenge, aimed basically at [silencing] her. Sudan’s public order laws are among the most discriminatory against Sudanese women. They violate several basic freedoms that should be the right of every citizen.

These laws, directed against working women and female students, were enacted expressly to persecute them, humiliate them, and deprive them of freedom, and to distance them from public life. On Facebook, Hussein posted a letter to her supporters in which she clarified that her aim was to stir up a scandal around her case, in order to expose the insufferable reality faced by Sudanese women due to the country’s criminal law. She wrote: “I am very grateful to you all, and want to let you know how happy I am to have your solidarity. I hope that [this case] will shed light on Clause 152 of Sudan’s 1991 criminal law.

“This is not a matter of a personal attack against me as a journalist, nor of preserving my personal dignity.

Far from it… The issue has taken on a different character, [and I call] on the public to be [my] witness and [to judge for themselves whether this incident] is a disgrace for me or for the public order police. You will decide after hearing the charges and the prosecution witnesses, rather than [only] my side of the story.

“My case is the same as that of 10 young women flogged that day, as well as of dozens, hundreds, and maybe thousands others flogged in the public order courts because of their dress, day after day, month after month, and year after year. They emerge from there dejected, because society does not believe them – indeed, it will never believe that a girl can be flogged only because of the way she dresses.

“Let Us See What is [Really] Improper: The Clothes Worn By Me and By the Girls Who Were Flogged – Or The Farce”

“[This incident] raises several questions, such as: Why are some people arrested, but others not

? This loaded question should be put to the police or the prosecution. Let us see what the public will decide. Let us see what is [really] improper: the clothes worn by me and by the girls who were flogged, or the farce played out over and over again by the [public order police] – while not a single woman dares to protest, since they are all afraid of the scandal and of the shock this might cause their parents.

“The problem lies in Clause 152 of the criminal law, which sentences [women] to 40 lashes or a fine, or both, for improper dress, without stipulating what exactly that is.
“Moreover, the title of this clause, “Disgraceful Behavior,” [deserves special mention]. Try to imagine what comes to mind when you hear that a woman has been flogged for disgraceful behavior at the facilities of the public order apparatuses. It is to this that I wanted the public to be a witness.

“Let them hear the charges and the prosecution witnesses. As for me, I will say nothing to the court except ‘Yes, this is true.’ Let it be known what crime I have committed.”
