Bahraini MP: Iran’s Islamic Democracy is Exposed, In All Its Dictatorial Hideousness

In a June 21, 2009 article in the Bahraini daily Akhbar Al-Khalij, Bahraini Shi’ite MP and columnist Samira Rajab lambasted the Iranian regime,

particularly its top officials, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Her article, which included personal attacks on Iranian leaders, such as an allegation that Ahmadinejad is from a Jewish family and insults about Khamenei’s tearful June 19, 2009 speech, provoked much criticism among Iranian circles. The day after the article’s publication, the Bahraini Culture and Information Ministry banned distribution of the newspaper, citing “matters related to violation of the Publications Law.” However, the ban was reversed the following day.

In response to the incident, Samir Rajab said that she had received no formal complaint about her article, and that the authorities were entitled to shut down the daily “in order to protect the interests of the state.” She added, however, that such decrees undermined press freedom and freedom of expression. In response to the claim that her article could cause political tension between Bahrain and Iran, she stated, “What I said about Iran and its regime is not new, and has been the subject of intensive discussion even in Tehran itself. Even my claim about Ahmadinejad’s Jewish origins was made previously, by presidential candidate Mehdi Karroubi in a public debate.” At the same time, Rajab stressed that her articles reflected only her own opinions as a journalist, not those of the Bahraini parliament. [1]

Akhbar Al-Khalij editor Anwar ‘Abd Al-Rahman expressed unqualified support for Rajab. In an interview with Radio Monte Carlo, he said: “As chief editor, I take full responsibility [for what is published in the paper]. I read every word of the article by [Samira] Rajab, whom I respect.

As for Iran’s role in the region these past 30 years – [the role] of the Iranian government and the Iranian Revolution – [I say] that Iran has done nothing for its people, but has managed to arouse apprehension among other nations, especially those of the Gulf… Ms. Samira [Rajab] told the truth about these [Iranian] theocrats, who have exploited their country

in the most hideous manner.” [2]

The Bahraini ministry’s move of suspending the newspaper’s distribution was denounced by the Bahraini Journalists Association, which stated in a June 23 communiqué: “The association is deeply concerned about this decision… and calls on the ministry to reconsider it, so as to enhance the spirit of democracy and freedom that Bahrain is experiencing under the leadership of King Hamad bin ‘Issa Aal Khalifa.” The association expressed its “complete solidarity with the daily [Akhbar Al-Khalij] and its employees, and [its belief in] their full right to express their opinion and carry out their journalistic mission in unrestrained freedom.” [3] It also protested that the decision to suspend the daily’s distribution had been issued by government officials rather than by a court.

It should be noted that officially, Bahrain was fully supportive of Ahmadinejad’s reelection as Iran’s president. Immediately following the release of the election results, Ahmadinejad received letters of congratulation from top Bahraini officials, including its king, crown prince, prime minister, and deputy chief of staff.

Following are excerpts from Samira Rajab’s article, which was posted on the Akhbar Al-Khalij website. [4]

Because Iran Aims to Spread Its Ideology in the Arab World, It Is Our Duty to Alert the Public to the Nature of This Regime

“Had the [Islamic] Revolution and [Islamic] Republic confined themselves to their true dimensions and role in the world, and had they not purported to be divine and undertaken a missionary role, both religious and political, that transcends their [own] borders – then the [entire] Iranian issue would not have interested us.

“However, since they claim to have a metaphysical dimension and a missionary theocratic role of exporting [the revolution] to all the Arab and Muslim societies, it is our primary duty [as part of] the region’s media and political arena to take an interest in the Iranian issue and to alert public opinion to the real scope and role of the [Iranian] mullah-run regime.

“It is from this perspective that we have followed the Iranian regime in the past and will continue to follow it in the present and future.

“[The Iranians] have tried to stifle every voice that harms their ‘holy’ regime that is run by ‘saints.’ They have presented the leaders of this ‘holy’ republic as infallible, and the fathers of the ‘Islamic’ Revolution as Allah’s emissaries on earth. They have imbued their leader with the absolute authority of Allah, and they have prepared their ‘holy’ republic for the coming of the ‘Hidden Imam,’ [5] who, according to a 2006 prophecy by President [Ahmadinejad], was supposed to come within two years.

“The religious seminaries that support [the Iranian] regime have churned out thousands of robed, turbaned graduates [whose function is] to spread false concepts [such as] the ‘holiness’ of the republic, the infallibility of its founders and the [absolute] authority of its holy leader.

ampicillin 100

best cialis levitra viagra which

[The Iranians] have raised the banner of the Islamic caliphate, and have spread their missionary propaganda throughout the world in order to disseminate their ‘sacred’ way and the tenets of their ‘divine’ revolution.

“They have distributed their ‘pure’ money among their allies in our [Arab] countries, in order to recruit supporters and undermine the security [of these countries]. [With their message of] infallible [leaders] who cannot be wrong, who never lie and who cannot be held to account, they [naturally managed to] recruit followers. Since money blinds people’s eyes, they managed to buy supporters and propagandists, and since religion and religious creeds are unbeatable weapons, they have used them to build strongholds in their own country and in ours.

“Thirty years – that is the age of the ‘holy’ [Islamic] Revolution, the republic of the Hidden Imam, the ‘Islamic’ democracy regime [with its] ‘infallible’ leaders. Thought this period, our Arab region has been in a state of constant war. It has suffered from constant political crises, discord and internal division, from political militarism, from sectarian-based recruitment [of the masses], and from [the practice of] hiding behind [religious] creeds and sacred [symbols]. Behind all of this is a blatant political goal that has nothing to do with religion or Islam.

“Suddenly, after 30 years, the truth about this holiness, this infallibility, and these infallible [leaders] has come to light… Iran’s Islamic democracy has been exposed in all its dictatorial hideousness. The fig leaf has fallen away, revealing the biggest political lie ever [invented] in the name of religion. The events that occurred following Iran’s recent presidential elections… and the images of barbaric oppression that accompanied them, revealed the hidden [true] face of the ‘Islamic’ Republic. The falseness of its sanctity was exposed to all, revealing the blood-soaked truth about this republic and this regime. The ‘pure’ revolution uncovered its fangs of oppression, the ‘holy’ republic was revealed as a fraud, and the infallible [leaders] were exposed as people who lie, cheat, arrest, and torture to protect their interests.”

June 12, 2009 Was the Greatest Election Fraud in History

“…[But] the fathers of Iran’s ‘Islamic’ revolution [really] showed their true face by perpetrating the greatest election fraud in history. I say ‘the greatest election fraud’ because most cheaters [arrange to] beat their opponents by a small margin of votes. This was the case with George Bush Jr., who won his first term in office by a single vote [cast] in a single state, as part of a big election fraud exposed by film director Michael Moore in his movie Fahrenheit 9/11. [But] Ahmadinejad was elected to a second term in office on June 12, 2009 by a margin of millions of fake votes, which boosted him from third place to first. This was confirmed by an Iranian Interior Ministry [source] who supervised the elections and was directly responsible for them. [6] [It is also confirmed by] the millions who took to the streets in Iran after the elections…

“…Let me also mention some of the events that accompanied these elections, which were reported by all the media outlets as well as on websites and in emails… [In these elections,] for the first time, leaders of the Iranian revolution questioned the religious roots

diflucan cost

of some of their fellow leaders. In a televised debate, Mehdi Karroubi referred to Ahmadinejad’s origins, [asking him]: ‘…What is your full name?’ His interlocutor answered, ‘I am Mahmoud Ahmadinejad,’ declining to mention his [real] last name. The Iranians know that [Ahmadinejad] comes from a Jewish family with a Jewish name, and Mehdi Karroubi attempted to reveal this to the public. [7]

“This was also the first time that the president of the Iranian republic revealed that some of the regime officials held fake diplomas, or [diplomas] granted by colleges that [grant them] easily. One such incident was when [Ahmadinejad] made allegations and questioned [the authenticity] of the Ph.D. of the wife of [presidential] candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi.

doxycycline cat

In an earlier incident… [the regime] had to justify its decision to retain Interior Minister Ali Kordan… when [Kordan’s] university diploma and credentials were revealed to be fake, Ahmadinejad [acknowledged] that ‘the diplomas of several regime officials are fake and worthless.’

“Also for the first time, [we] discovered the depth of the financial corruption of Iran’s ruling elite, and the involvement of the fathers of the revolution – including clerics, political leaders and their families – in this corruption and in stealing public funds. For the first time, Iranian presidential candidates revealed that [the leaders of] the regime are distributing [state] resources to organizations around the world, when in their own country poverty is spreading, development is failing, and eight million are unemployed – that is, unemployment is at over 30%.”

Iran’s Leaders Are Neither Holy Nor Infallible

“There is much to say about [the quality of] democracy in the ‘Islamic’ Republic. I will mention only two things.

revatio costs

According to Article 57 of the Iranian constitution, the Supreme Leader – who is ‘the absolute religious leader and the Imam of the Nation’ – holds every [conceivable] authority, since he is in charge of the legislative, judicial and executive branches. Article 110 grants him every administrative and legislative authority, as well as the authority to appoint or dismiss any senior official in the state – from the president to the head of the broadcasting authority – and the right to ‘declare war and peace and [order] a general draft,’ and to resolve problems [that cannot be resolved by the Expediency Council in the usual manner].’

“These [constitutional] articles clarify the origin [of the problem] and explain the events that began on June 12, 2009 throughout Iran. Even if the mosque preachers of Qom try to conceal these events, and if [some of them] remain unknown in the coming time period, they will continue to seethe beneath the surface, preparing the ground for the next [outburst of] protest. After all, young people, women, and the elderly were suppressed, beaten and tortured in public; blood was spilled in the streets, and the regime provoked the youth, which constitutes two-thirds of the Iranian people.

how do antibiotics affect birth control pills

“The most important point is the lies and falsehoods of all [the leaders] of this regime, which are meant to create a halo of sanctity around them and their regime, and which have been exposed by the [recent] events in the country. [These leaders] have turned out to be ordinary people, who, like everyone else, bear grudges, have interests, and [can be] involved in conflicts, corruption, lies, fraud, oppression, killing, and torture.

“The ayatollahs have lost their [halo of] religious immunity. The taboo [on questioning] their sanctity has been lifted, as has [the prohibition] on criticizing these religious authorities and holding them to account – [because] they are involved in politics, with all the depravity and earthly ambitions that that entails.

“This is the place to mention how saddening it was to see Supreme leader [Khamenei] in his June 19, 2009 political speech to worshippers at Tehran University, and to see him weep in the end, saying in Persian… ‘My life is worthless, my body is flawed,’ in a shameful attempt to move [the audience] and to arouse their religious sympathy.

phone directory

This was when the rest of his speech contained so many warnings and threats. The crowd responded with their own dramatic weeping.

“In sum, it can be said that on that day [June 12, 2009], the curtain came down on the penultimate episode of the clerics’ hegemony over our societies.”

This is the second visit by George Mitchell this month to the Middle East. With Iran tied up in an internal conflict, it appears Barack Obama is making a maximum effort to woo Syria and the non-Persian Arab nations into a united effort to put Iran (Persia) into a more cooperative mood for his diplomatic dialog fiasco.

The collective set of worldwide headlines from today’s Syria Daily, which follows the DEBKAfile Excerpt, gives a united cry for “Peace and safety.”

The cry for “Peace and safety” in the Middle East has never been louder, and the time of “sudden destruction” cannot be far behind it.

Gates visit to Israel marks US decision to turn up military heat on Iran

DEBKAfile Special Report

July 26, 2009, 10:00 PM (GMT+02:00)

DEBKAfile’s military and Washington sources report that President Barack Obama is getting set for some military arm-twisting against Iran spearheaded by Israel. This will be the main subject of defense secretary Robert Gates talks in Israel Tuesday, July 28 and was presaged by a strong message secretary of state Hillary Clinton broadcast to Tehran Sunday, July 28, over NBC: “… if you’re pursuing nuclear weapons for the purpose of intimidating, or projecting your power, we are not going to let that happen,” she said. “Your pursuit is futile. We believe as a matter of policy it is unacceptable for Iran to have nuclear weapons.”

Her statement was the clearest US warning to Iran of what is in store if it forges ahead with its military nuclear program..

Earlier this week, Clinton said in Thailand that the US would extend a “defense umbrella” over the Arab Gulf nations against an Iranian nuclear weapon.

Military and verbal pressure against Iran is one component of Obama’s new Middle East approach; a second focuses on pulling Syria and its president Bashar Assad away from their tight bonds with Tehran.

nolvadex tablets

This goal brought Obama’s Middle East envoy George Mitchell to Damascus for the second time this month Sunday, July 26.

Before traveling to Israel in the afternoon, Mitchell stated that Barack Obama was “determined to facilitate a truly comprehensive Arab-Israeli peace” that includes the Palestinians, Syria and Lebanon and normal relations with the nations of the region.

best cialis levitra viagra which

“If we are to succeed,” he said, “we will need Arabs and Israelis alike to work with us. We will welcome the full cooperation of the government of the Syrian Arab Republic in this historic endeavor.”

Mitchell’s words opened the door for Syria to opt for cooperation with Washington instead of Tehran.

DEBKAfile’s sources add that Gates on Tuesday – followed by national security adviser James Jones and Middle East adviser Dennis Ross Wednesday – are to turn over with Israeli leaders plans for harassing Tehran.

The passage earlier this month of Israeli nuclear-capable submarines escorted by missile boats through between the Mediterranean and Red Seas through the Suez Canal was a mark of US-Israeli cooperation in the pursuit of Washington’s tough new posture for deterring Iran’s nuclear drive.

However, if America or Israel knocks out Iran’s nuclear facilities, all bets are off as to WHEN it begins, because it could start immediately.

The air superiority of Israel over all the Islamic nations of the world is unquestionable.

It would be similar to the superiority of the German Air forces over the Polish

Air Force when they invaded Poland in 1939. Both Iran and Syria have left the modernizing of their air forces as the last priority in their preparation for a major Middle East war. I expect more modernizing of Iranian and Syrian Air Forces.

The King of the South (Israel) and the King of the North (Syria)

Daniel 11:40,41 – And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

[41] He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

The age of so-called civilized warfare really began in the era of the Napoleonic Wars of 1803 to 1815. And, with the passage of time, it has become increasingly important for two countries involved in a conflict to convince the rest of the world the other is the culprit who started the conflict. Every time Hitler, in his early conquests, marched

female viagra

his troops into countries to take them over in bloodless battles, he always had an excuse to justify his attacks. Finally, when he came to his planned conquest of the Poles, he could not really find what even remotely seemed like a justifiable reason. So he manufactured one. He had his own SS troops dress up in Polish uniforms and attack a German border outpost. Then the SS put dead Polish bodies in the immediate vicinity of the outpost and had photographers and reporters in to verify their story. Using this farce as justification for his actions, he attacked Poland in September of 1939, and World War II began.

Some interesting developments, involving Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and the terrorist groups, particularly Hizbollah, have been occurring along the northern border of Israel with Lebanon. I do not believe what I am now observing in that area will lead to an immediate war, but I suspect it may well do so in the not too distant future. And, if I am correct in my assumptions, it could give Syria justification for attacking Israel in the eyes of most of the international world.

During the time that Alexander’s great empire had been divided into four sections, the Syrian section (Seleucid) held Israel some of the time, and the Egyptian section (Ptolemy) held it when they took it from the Syrians. Israel was, at times, a part of the Egyptian section, at times, a part of the Syrian section, and, at times, a part of both. Daniel lists a very long series of battles between the king of the north (Syria) and the king of the South (Egypt). Most of Daniel’s prophecies about these two kingdoms were fulfilled by their many kings from Daniel 11:4 through 35, but there remains one war yet to be fulfilled, and I believe it is the aforementioned Jihad that begins in Daniel 11:40. Since Israel was once part of the section occupied by Ptolemy, I am persuaded that Israel is the king of the south and Syria is the king of the north in Daniel 11:40-45.

Israel has lulled itself into a false sense of peace and safety by its great military might. Even after the 2006 war, it still has great confidence in its ability to take care of any Islamic intrusion.

nolvadex tablets

It may well be that Syria will get Hizbollah to kick up a storm of activity along the northern border by launching a massive missile and rocket attack across the border into the populations of northern Israel. Syria will do this knowing that Israel will cross the border into Lebanon and hit Syrian targets from the air. But this time Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran will be waiting for it,

how do antibiotics affect birth control pills

and six other Islamic nations will be poised to supply logistical support. The Islamic nations can cry out while they head south: “We were attacked first – we are justified in this response to the Israeli invasion of our sovereign territory.” This will cause a hesitation by the western world at first and, by the time it wakes up, Jerusalem will have fallen, and Israel will be fleeing into the Negev.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

The ancient boil of conflict between the descendants of Jacob, Ishmael, and the six sons of Keturah, with all its internal blend of impurities, is finally coming to a head in the Middle East. The current hatred rise in the conflict between Hamas and Fatah will, in the end, be the catalyst that brings a temporary false peace between them and Israel. What is apparently a genuine truce will be shattered suddenly by a rapid blitzkrieg attack from the north by Syria. In league with Syria will be Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran. Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran will move rapidly southward through the “glorious land” of Israel like a fast moving thunderstorm, bypassing the land where the people of Moab, Ammon, and Edom were settled when Daniel wrote his prophecies in about 600 B.C. The descendants of Edom (Jacob’s brother), and Ammon and Moab (the sons of Lot), as found on every published map for this time period, were settled immediately to the southeast, east, and northeast of the Dead Sea, precisely in the country we know as Jordan today. Hence, we can know that the antichrist will bypass Jordan as he moves south through Israel. Why would he bypass Jordan? She has no strategic, political, or economic advantage to offer him, but the Suez Canal and Egypt do, so he will head southwest toward that area after having driven the woman Israel into the Negev Wilderness south of Beersheva.

Daniel 11:42 – He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

IDF creates Hizbullah village, forest

July 27, 2009

Yaakov Katz , THE JERUSALEM POST

In the face of Hizbullah’s heavy deployment inside southern Lebanese villages, the IDF is creating a new training regimen for infantry troops to prepare them for a combination of urban and guerrilla warfare by building special training centers in military bases across the country.

Shortly after the Second Lebanon War in 2006, the IDF built a replica of a Hizbullah “nature reserve” – a forested area where the group had dug bunkers and deployed rocket launchers – to train IDF troops. Now, the IDF is building an urban warfare center – consisting of a mock Lebanese village – which it plans to connect to the replica of the nature reserve.

“Hizbullah has created most of its positions inside homes in southern Lebanon,” explained a senior IDF officer last week, adding that an example of this had been demonstrated two weeks ago with the accidental explosion of a Hizbullah rocket cache inside a home in the village of Khirbet Selm.

The home, the IDF later revealed, was also connected to an underground series of tunnels that led to additional positions in nature reserves.

In footage taken several months before the explosion, an IDF aircraft caught several senior Hizbullah operatives entering an underground tunnel near the house and reappearing from an exit 700 meters away.

“During the Second Lebanon War, our biggest challenges were the nature reserves that Hizbullah had created in the open,” the officer said.

“Now, the challenge will be to fight against Hizbullah in an urban setting and then to move through the tunnels into the forest.”

In order to meet the operational challenge, the IDF is creating special training centers like the one at Elyakim, which combine urban and guerrilla warfare. In the coming months, the IDF will begin construction of a similar center at the Lachish training base, near Beit Shemesh.

In addition to constructing the new training facilities, the IDF is purchasing two rubber urban training centers – each consisting of 18 structures – in which soldiers will be allowed to carry out live-fire exercises. In the current urban training centers, the IDF can only hold dry-fire exercises, since live fire would generate shrapnel that could injure the soldiers.

In the new centers, made completely of rubber, the soldiers will be able to shoot live bullets, since they would be absorbed by the walls.

The new centers also come with built-in camera systems that enable quick examination of the results of the exercise.

Iran helping Hezbollah rebuild Lebanon

Three years after war, Lebanese government reports $676 million spent on repairing damages caused to houses, mainly from donations of countries like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Tehran transfers hundreds of millions of dollars through Shiite organization

Three years after the war between Israel and Hezbollah, Lebanon is still licking its wounds. The reconstruction works aimed at repairing the damages of the Israeli airstrikes continue amid a dispute over the output.

While the government is busy releasing encouraging data on the transfer of aid funds, the Lebanese opposition claims that the government continues to demonstrate weakness. The main criticism refers to the fact that Lebanese industrialists and farmers have yet to receive even one penny in compensation.

According to the Lebanese government, about $676 million have already been used to repair the damage caused to houses. Most of this money came from donor countries.

The government said last week that until June it was the one to allot most of the aid funds received from donor countries and from different bodies at a total value of $460 million.

According to the government, 93% of this sum was used to rebuild houses, mainly in southern Lebanon and in the Hezbollah stronghold – the Dahiya quarter.

The government says it has an additional $36 million which it plans to hand over to owners of damaged houses, after they turn to “the supreme aid authority” – the governmental body in charge of rebuilding Lebanon.

According to a governmental statement published in the al-Mustaqbal newspaper owned by the Hariri family, by the end of June “the supreme aid authority” had dealt with some 113,000 houses damaged during the war.

Biggest donations come from Saudis

The country which has donated the largest amount of money for Lebanon’s reconstruction through the government is Saudi Arabia – with a total sum of about $306 million. Kuwait donated another $89 million.

Two countries who have tense relations with the Lebanese government– Syria and Qatar – have transferred funds directly to the owners of houses damaged in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanon government has noted that it has so far funneled about $94 million in aid to the families of “martyrs” and people injured.

At the same time, Iran has funneled in the past three years hundreds of millions of dollars through Hezbollah for reconstruction purposes in Lebanon.

Hezbollah has also used part of the money to rebuild the houses of its supporters in southern Lebanon villages.

We’ll hit Israeli nuclear facilities’

July 26, 2009

JPost.com Staff , THE JERUSALEM POST

Iran threatened Saturday to strike Israel’s nuclear installations if it is attacked by the Jewish state, Reuters reported.

“If the Zionist Regime attacks Iran, we will surely strike its nuclear facilities with our missile capabilities,” Revolutionary Guards commander-in-chief Mohammad Ali Jafari told Iran’s Arabic language al-Alam TV station.

On Wednesday US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that despite that fact that if Iran attained a nuclear weapon her country would safeguard the region with a “defensive umbrella,” a diplomatic solution was still possible.

“We will still hold the door open [for talks with Iran], but we also have made it clear that we’ll take actions, as I’ve said time and time again, crippling action, working to upgrade the defense of our partners in the region,” Reuters quoted Clinton as saying. She was in Thailand to take part in the ASEAN Regional Forum, an annual gathering of 27 Asian, US and European ministers, to discuss North Korea, Myanmar and a range of other regional security issues.

Nuclear Iran wouldn’t pose existential threat to Israel

By Gabi Sheffer

There is no need to hear the repeated declarations by Benjamin Netanyahu, his political allies, his aides (particularly Uzi Arad) and senior officers to know that the state of the Iranian regime and the perception of the looming Iranian nuclear threat has become a political tool for them.

They repeat the same mantras that the current Iranian regime will continue to rule, that it will become even more extreme, that Iran will attain a nuclear military capability, that it will not hesitate to use it directly or through terrorist intermediaries, and that it would set off reactionary nuclear armament in other Middle Eastern countries which, in their view, would cause a disaster.

Barack Obama, Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel and other politicians and generals in the West and Middle East have voiced more restrained fears. Most observers say that if the major powers do not take significant steps to prevent Iran from attaining nuclear weapons, even if the regime there changes in character, its nuclearization is irreversible. In addition, more liberal leaders in Iran would not hesitate to use nuclear weapons against anyone they hate for political and religious reasons. At the top of the list, of course, are the United States and its allies, particularly Israel.

These individuals offer a variety of possible actions, beginning with the vital, immediate need to use force against Iran, which would compel it to stop developing the atomic bomb; to continue with the need to combine diplomatic pressure with harsh sanctions; and to hold direct and indirect diplomatic contacts in order to persuade the Iranian regime to stop developing nuclear weapons.

best cialis levitra viagra which

In the background, preparations are being made for military operations against various nuclear installations in Iran.

Undoubtably, it is important to force Iran – like any other state irrespective of the regime in place – to stop its nuclear program that will lead to it attaining the atomic bomb. Yet even if there are no diplomatic contacts, which the United States and other countries would like to have in order to stop Iran’s nuclear program; even if the sanctions are instituted, if indeed they are enforced effectively they will not have an influence on Iran; and even if the threat of military action does not leave an impression on the religious leadership and politicians there, the most basic question must be asked: Does Iran indeed pose a real existential threat rather than an imagined existential threat against those states that are threatened by it, particularly Israel?

The answer is that there are three basic reservations regarding these much-talked-about concerns over Iran.

First, like other small states, Iran seeks to attain nuclear weapons in order to deter other nuclear-armed states from attacking it. So if Iran is not attacked, it will

aciphex foradil glucotrol xl

not attack.

after clomid

Second, Iran’s goal is primarily to boost its influence in the Muslim world.

Third, and most important, with the exception of two atomic bombs that were needlessly used by none other than the democratic and liberal United States – since Japan was very near surrender – no other country possessing nuclear weapons has used them.

The other reasons for not using nuclear weapons are numerous. The main reason is these states’ fears, including Iran’s, of a response by other nuclear-armed countries. Even if any country, including Israel, were to be attacked by an Iranian nuclear weapon, other countries would respond with force. This is not because of the damage that would be caused to the attacked country, but particularly due to the fear that they too would be harmed.

Other reasons for refraining from using nuclear weapons include moral considerations, fear of mistakenly striking allies in the region, concern over widespread destabilization and other related factors.

The conclusion is that even if Iran attains nuclear weapons, it does not pose a real existential threat to other countries, Israel included. It would behoove Israeli politicians and defense officials to take these considerations into account and cease disseminating statements about the existence of this threat and military operations against Iran.

Even if the Iranian threat is not completely imagined, it is completely weak and the Israeli public should understand this rather than allow itself to be dragged into supporting a destructive military operation.

Atomic War in Israel – Yes or No? – Number 2

More than a year ago I issued Special Prophecy Update Number 129C, titled “Atomic War in Israel, Yes or No?” I would like to reaffirm my belief in its validity in Number 2. The original Update 129C, issued July 23, 2003, was as follows: (BEGIN QUOTE OF 129C)

“One of the main reasons I wrote three books on prophecy in the late seventies and early eighties was to establish a case advocated by teachers of the pre-World War II era.

phone book

It was, simply stated, that man would not destroy the earth with his weaponry, but rather that God would destroy the earth by the use of this own power. I am certain that the horrifying changes in the topography of Israel, as well as the terrifying destruction of the antichrist’s forces at Armageddon, are by the awesome power of God, not

atomic, chemical, or biological weapons of man. The lifting of the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem, the breaking up of Jerusalem into three sections, the splitting of the Mount of Olives, and the consuming of the flesh, tongues, and eyes of the antichrist’s men are natural phenomena unleashed by God, not by man.

at atomic, chemical, and biological war in Israel when the antichrist attacks 1260 days before Armageddon. It might happen at the time of Armageddon, but the initial attack will start what amounts to a non-nuclear, non-chemical, and non-biological war. So why am I so confident and outspoken about this being the case?
Israel has more than 200 extremely well concealed missile silos in the Negev between Beersheba and the Gulf of Aqabah.

(1) It has more than 300 nuclear, chemical, and biological warheads to mount on Jericho missiles.

(2) The Jericho is a very accurate missile, and can hit a target in any Islamic country from Morocco to Pakistan and from Turkey to Yemen.

(3) Israel has an excellent anti-missile defense to protect its array of silos, warheads, and missiles. It is able to pick up an incoming enemy missile launched from Syria before it reaches it maximum altitude.

(4) So why do I believe this array of WMD will not be unleashed by Israel when it is attacked? Because the Israeli War Contingency Plan of Israel directs that WMD will never be launched against a foreign nation unless they are first launched against Israel.

(5) So how do I know the Islamic countries will not launch WMD in their initial attack? All of them are well aware of what is listed in (1) through (5)! The former Soviet Union, which it existed, shared Israeli intelligence information with Syria, which it collected over a long period of time from its hundreds of spy satellites it launched from pads between Moscow and the White Sea, and on the eastern side of the Aral Sea. Syria, in turn, has shared it with some of the other Islamic countries around Israel. Only a leader possessed of rank insanity would ever launch WMD first against Israel, which is why I was so relieved when Saddam Hussein was taken out of the way.

3.1 41 advanced build nexium statistics web

Many believe the United States will quickly rush to the aid of Israel, and, as the world’s greatest power, will immediately deliver her from any kind of attack she can’t handle. There are two problems with this idea: (1) The United States believes Israel can defeat any Islamic attack on its own without any help from us. After all, Israel has easily done so in three previous wars and, (2) This will be a lightning Jihad, and better coordinated than any of the previous wars, and this time Israel will have a Palestinian state attacking it from within, while the other Islamic nations come in from outside its borders. It will probably last less than a couple of weeks, and Jerusalem is likely to fall within four days. By the time we decide they must have our help it will be too late, because they will have occupied most of the land from Dan to Beersheba.

blinklist com levitrai

It would take months, as it did in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Freedom Iraq, to get enough American troops on the ground to do any good.

What was the character of Israel’s past three wars? They were all very short in duration, and they all ended abruptly in a truce. That will be the case in this war.

how do antibiotics affect birth control pills

The United States knows that the Negev is the place where Israel will flee. When we believe they are safely in the Negev, we will be more than willing to accept a truce to give us time to think about what to do, and Israel will remain trapped in the Negev for some three and one-half years.

The part played by the United States during this period of three and one-half years is interspersed throughout our Prophecy Archives, with some of it in Prophecy Updates 5 through 11, 32 & 33, and 74 & 75.”

(END QUOTE OF UPDATE 129C).

(CONTINUE QUOTE OF UPDATE 187A)

Since Update 129C was issued, several noteworthy things have come to pass that reduce the likelihood of a nuclear war in the Middle East. The area is headed toward a situation where both sides will realize a nuclear war would leave the victor, or victors, in such a powerless state, that any future they might have would be desolate, and leave them in a position of great vulnerability to the rest of the oil consuming nations. Some of these noteworthy recent events, which would tend to create a standoff, such as the one that developed between the United States and the once mighty Soviet Union, are as follows:

(1) Syria now has a better Scud than the Scud B. The Scud D missile, considered to be the most sophisticated weapon of its kind, is now in the hands of the Syrian military. It is able to deliver nuclear, chemical, or biological multiple warheads to their targets in Israel from Syria.

(2) The jointly developed American-Israeli Arrow 2 missile successfully launched an Arrow 2 missile that destroyed a Scud B over the Pacific Ocean earlier this year. The Arrow 2 is designed to intercept an enemy missile before it reaches its peak altitude, far from Israeli territory.

cipro 500

However, in a recent test against the Scud D, it failed to intercept the detached warhead. It was not a complete failure, and the results are in the process of being analyzed. Israel says it can still effectively destroy the Scud D.

(3) Syria also maintains a sizeable ballistic missile arsenal and, like Iran, is active in upgrading and expanding its capabilities.

(4) In June Iran announced it is building its first stealth missile, a rocket that can evade electronic detection. The missile was named Kowsar, in honor of the Kowsar river in paradise, which is found in the Koran, the Holy Book of Islam. Iran announced it would be capable of hitting ships and aircraft.

(5) Iran is continuing to steam toward development of its own nuclear bomb, which many believe it could develop as early as next year.

body bro good levitra stuff up whats yea yea

It is now going underground, and spreading out its nuclear development sites in order to limit the damage that could be incurred by an Israeli air strike, like the one carried out on Iraq’s nuclear facility in 1981.

(6) Iran is manufacturing various missiles, chief among them being the Shahab-3, whose range of 1300 km (793 mi) allows it to reach Israel. It is designed to carry up to a 700-kilogram conventional warhead. But the Iranians are currently developing the Shihab 4 and 5, with ranges of 3000 km (1830 mi) and 6000 km (3660 mi), which puts all of Europe in its sights, and these both missiles will be able to carry chemical, nuclear, and biological weapons.

(7) At the same time that Iran and Syria are attempting to manufacture weapons of mass destructions, and the missiles to deliver them, they are also building up their conventional arsenal of weapons.

They have been guided by the designs of weaponry supplied to them by North Korea, Russia, and even China in both their conventional and non-conventional programs of weaponry development. The huge payments from the Iranian oil money have, for some time, helped to keep the Russian Economy afloat, and the North Korean economy from completely collapsing.

I do not believe there will be a nuclear, biological or chemical war in the Middle East. I have long been convinced of this. It will be a great war, but only conventional weapons will be used. I will not rule out the possibility of some being used at Armageddon, but I really don’t believe they will be launched even them.

It is no secret that, if left unchecked, Iran is determined to become a global nuclear power with long range nuclear missiles that could strike Europe, plus NATO and American forces within a 3600 mile radius, and the United States and Israel are determined to not let that happen.

PM: We’ll keep security fence in place

“We have removed checkpoints, dirt roadblocks and increased the operating hours at the Allenby Bridge, all in consultation with the defense establishment, in order to ease the transfer of people and goods,” he said. “It’s praiseworthy, and the impressive economic results are there for all to see. Although the Palestinian economic growth potential has not been fully realized.”

“Our policies are an immediate response to rockets, dealing with the Iranian threat, keeping the West Bank

The Palestinian Authority has turned to the Americans, demanding that, in addition to stopping construction in settlements and east Jerusalem, it dismantle the security barrier, citing the drop in terror activity originating in the West Bank over the last two years.

“The security barrier won’t be dismantled,” Netanyahu stressed. “I hear people saying that since there is quiet, the fence can be torn down.

My friends, the opposite is true. Because we have the fence, there is quiet. And that is of course in addition to IDF operations, and I must cautiously add, there is also a degree of improvement in the operations of the Palestinian security apparatuses, and we commend this.”

The prime minister again spoke of the “national coalition” he had formed for his Middle East peace plan, and added that the vast majority of international players were also on board.

“The most important component is that the Palestinians recognize Israel as the national home of the Jewish people, meaning the refugee problem will not have a solution within our borders,” he said. “And furthermore, when a peace deal is signed, there will be no more demands on Israel, not about refugees or land.

Loving the Israeli Wall

David Solway

July 24, 2009

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay announced on June 8, 2009, that Israel must demolish the wall (which, incidentally, is mainly a fence), now two-thirds completed, between Israel’s eastern border and the West Bank. There is, of course, not the slightest allusion to the families of the more than one thousand Israeli victims of Palestinian terror since the start of the second intifada, who were affected precisely by the lack of such a barrier and who should by rights be receiving Palestinian reparations.

Pillay also has nothing to say about the palisade being built by the government of Thailand, which is higher and longer than the Israeli barrier, to cordon off two million Muslims living in the south of the country.

the entire border between Saudi Arabia and Yemen, built by the Saudis to discourage terrorist infiltration. Security barriers have also been erected by India, Cyprus, and even by the UN, which installed a security barrier to protect Kuwait from Iraq. The U.S. is justifiably constructing a fence along its southwestern border with Mexico to prevent the influx of illegal immigration.

Both the American and Israeli fences have been compared to the Berlin Wall, an accusation which misses the point entirely. The Berlin Wall was intended to keep citizens in, not interlopers out.
