Some three and one-half years before the final battle of Armageddon, which closes the tribulation period, ten kings of nations out of the territory once occupied by the ancient Roman Empire will attack Israel from the north.

Daniel 2:42 – And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

II Thessalonians 2:3 – Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The last evil kingdom of antichrist on this earth was to initially be comprised of 10 nations with

10 kings led by the man of sin himself.

It was to arise out of the ashes of the old Roman Empire. I have always believed it would rise out of the southern half of the Empire and be made up of 10 Arab nations. I believe the elements for its formation are in place today, and I suspect that the most likely Arab nations of which it will be comprised are Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. Some of these nations are strong like iron, and some are as soft and pliable as clay.

I do not question that in the final battle of Armageddon the descendants of Ham, Shem, and Japheth will be combatants against the nation of Israel. But I have always contended, along with the Bible expositors of the 18th and 19th centuries, that the antichrist’s initial attack would be led by Arab descendants of Abraham. They are the mingled seed of his oldest son Ishmael with the seed of the six sons he sired by Keturah, as well as some of the other offspring of his own father Terah.

The empire of the antichrist will be an Islamic

empire that eventually takes into it other old world nations. And, in the final great battle of Armageddon, all those nations that made up the world as it was known in A.D. 95 will come against Israel, such that Japheth, Ham, and Shem’s descendants will also be involved.

Daniel 2:41-43 – And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. [42] And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. [43] And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

The 10 toes will consist primarily of Terah’s descendants. Abraham came out of Terah.

Out of Abraham came the leaders of the three great monotheistic faiths associated with Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad. And they have always been in conflict. (See Archive Update 78 Diagram)

The inspired word in Daniel 2:43, from which the word “mingled” comes, is ARAB, which means “to interlace or mix.” The “seed of men” refers to non-descendants of the man Abraham, from which both Jews and Arabs descended. “They” refers to the 10 toes of Daniel’s statue in Daniel 2:42, which have 10 kings over them.

Isaac, the father of Israel, had seven half brothers – Ishmael from Hagar and the six sons of Keturah. It was from these seven half brothers that the Arab world has been primarily created. The descendants of Israel have been more likely to marry within the blood line

of the man Israel than have the Arabs to marry within their separate bloodlines of Hagar and Keturah, and the Arabs have also intermingled with non-descendants of Abraham more than have the Jews.

Daniel 2:43 – And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Just as iron and clay do not hold together very long, the 10 Arab nations will only hold together long enough to fulfill God’s end time tribulation period prophecies.

On one day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, there were 30 Palestinian attacks on Israeli soldiers and border police officers on the West Bank leaving four injured, including two policemen and an army platoon commander

DEBKAfile’s military sources report. The security situation plummeted from last month when, after men of the Lavi Brigade shot dead three Palestinian assailants who were hurling fire bombs, Israel units were prohibited

from posting snipers to defend them against Palestinian firebomb ambuscades.

The prohibition came down from the office of prime minister Ehud Olmert and defense minister

Ehud Barak. It was quickly picked up by the Palestinians who, realizing that the IDF’s hands were tied, became more audacious. By Tuesday, it had reached the point, said senior military sources, that the OC Central Command, Brig.

Gadi Shamni, no longer controls security in Judea and Samaria.

Marauding Palestinians have seized the hilltops commanding the territory’s main highways and intersections and bombard every passing Israeli car, including military and police vehicles, with firebombs, burning tires and big rocks. Shortage of manpower prevents the army from taking those hilltops over; its function has been reduced to patrols.

Tuesday, Palestinian terror peaked. They hurled firebombs and rocks at two border police bases in Abu Dis in southern Jerusalem and Atarot at the northern end of the capital and hit four IDF patrols. At Tekoa, southeast of Bethlehem, flying rocks pinned down a military force for hours until it was relieved by reinforcements. Rocks and bottle bombs hit at least 14 passing cars, seriously damaging some of them. Rioting Palestinians in Hebron and its vicinity hurled six firebombs, blocked main junctions with burning tires and set fire to a Jewish-owned wheat-field.

Security sources told DEBKAfile that if this goes on and the government sticks to its policy of non-response, there is nothing to stop the Palestinian gangs from moving on to firearms.

The US-trained Palestinian security forces, whose presence Israel accepted, keep to the main towns of Nablus, Jenin, Hebron, Ramallah and Qalqilya and do not venture outside. Palestinian terrorists have therefore won the freedom to terrorize most parts of the West Bank safe from Palestinian or Israel interference.

It would be nice if we lived in a world not driven by carnal national and individual interests, which of course includes the extremes of theological ideology. Christ did not come to cause wars, but he knew full well man would develop extremes of belief which would then be manifested by the brutal breakup of nations, appearing in many root family structures up through the highest level of governmental structure. His Second Advent alone will provide the healing of mankind bent on its own destruction by the actions of its inherited carnality.

Matthew 10:34-36 – Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

[35] For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

[36] And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

The ideological theological differences within families, societies, and the nations have been instrumental in many wars but, at Christ’s Second Advent, his rule of iron from Jerusalem will establish worldwide peace. The greater the difference in theological tolerance between the spirit of truth in Christ and the spirit of error in Antichrist, the more violent the actions will be toward those who practice truth. The extremist position of Islam, shown in its radical beheading and destruction of all who do not believe Allah is God and Muhammad is his Prophet, can never be quenched by diplomatic dialog. The Middle East is definitely headed for war.

His First Advent was foretold more than 700 years before it occurred!

Micah 5:2 – But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

the travail of the Tribulation Period He will return at His Second Advent with the remnant of his brethren!

Experts to Obama: Don’t threaten Iran

US President-elect Barack Obama, plotting his strategy on Iran, is getting this advice from a panel of American diplomats and other experts: Don’t pile on economic and military threats; it doesn’t help.

“An attack would almost certainly fail” while coercing Ir an with economic s

anctions has very little chance of success, the experts say in a report to be presented next week at a conference on the future of US-Iran policy.

“Threats are not cowing Iran and the current regime in Tehran is not in imminent peril,” according to a copy of the report obtained by The Associated Press.

The Iranian people “have seen the outcome of US-sponsored regime change in Afghanistan and Iraq. They want no part of it,” the report said.

Far more likely to succeed, said former US ambassadors Thomas Pickering and James F. Dobbins, Columbia University scholar Gary G. Sick and 17 other experts, is to “open the door to direct, unconditional and comprehensive negotiations at the senior diplomatic level.”

At the same time, they advised facilitating unofficial contacts between scholars, professionals, religious leaders, lawmakers and ordinary citizens.

The report originated from conversations among a number of experts on Iran who were concerned about the course of American diplomacy on Iran, Dobbins said Thursday. “We got together to offer the administration a different approach, one that is focused on communication and with a view to making progress over time on a range of issues,” he said.

Richard Parker, a professor at the University of Connecticut, organized the report, which will be presented Tuesday to the National Iranian American Council.

In his presidential campaign, Obama endorsed “direct diplomacy” with Iran. At a post-election news conference he called Iranian efforts to develop nuclear weapons unacceptable. So far, it is a sketchy policy outline.

The experts recommended the United States take a leadership role in ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran and widen the range of discussion. The negotiators should offer Iran the prospect of security assurances and the easing of US economic sanctions in the event of an accord.

“Talking directly to a foreign government in no way signals approval of the government, its policies or its actions,” the report said.

On other fronts, the experts advised giving Iran “a place at the table” in shaping the future of Iraq, Afghanistan and the region.

The United States and Iran support the same government in Iraq and face common enemies in the Taliban and al-Qaida in Afghanistan, the report said.

Labeled “Myth ..1” in the report is the notion that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calls the shots on Iran’ s nuclear and foreign policy.

The ultimate decision-maker is the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, commander in chief of Iran’s armed forces, the report said. Despite frequent hostile rhetoric aimed at Israel and the West, “Khamenei’s track record reveals a cautious decision maker who acts after consulting advisers holding a range of views, including views sharply critical of Ahmadinejad.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni urged U.S. Vice President-elect Joe Biden in a telephone call to keep up a tough line on Iran and the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, her ministry said on Monday.

“Iran, Hamas and other extremists are testing our attitude, and they must understand that the world will not be tolerant towards extremists and terrorism,” she said. “It is of the utmost importance that we keep up our coordination against the Iranian threat because time is not on the side of the moderates,” she said, in the call initiated by Biden.

Following the passage in Teheran of a new Islamic Penal Code, which codifies the death penalty for males who abandon Islam, the Iranian government called for a conference on “Religion in the Modern World.” With former UN secretary-general Kofi Annan, former high commissioner on human rights Mary Robinson, past prime ministers of Italy and Norway, and former president of Portugal in attendance, Muhammad Khatami, the former Iranian president, called upon the “religious leaders of the world to try new ways to create a peaceful co-existence and invite the world to establish peace and security.”

This is a commendable and noble appeal, but one that is overshadowed by the brutal history of religious intolerance in Iran under the Islamic republic which Khatami represents.

Consider some recent events: Last month, security forces entered the Imam Abu Hanifa Mosque in the Azimabad suburb of the city of Zabol. The mosque also served as a religious school and dormitory. They arrested and evacuated the sleeping students and staff and then brought bulldozers and destroyed the building.

This is not the first time such an episode has taken place. Several other mosques have been destroyed in a similar fashion. Why does the Islamic republic destroy mosques?

IRAN IS a religiously diverse country with significant Sunni, Baha’i, Sufi, Zoroastrian, Jewish and Christian minorities. With a population of 70 million, there are an estimated 10 million to 15 million Sunnis (this includes the majority of Kurds, virtually all Baluchis and Turkomans, and a minority of the Arabs). Following the Islamist revolution, Sunnis have suffered systematic discrimination. Attempts of forced conversion to Shi’ism have increased in recent years.

This may help explain why Mawlavi (a religious title used by Iranian Sunnis) Ahmad Narouee, the deputy director of the ma in theological school

in Zahedan and a moderate Sunni cleric, was arrested last month. Narouee is one of the most moderate Baluchi Sunni clerics in Sistan-Baluchistan province. He comes from one of the oldest and most influential Baluchi clans, and he is widely respected.

Although close to 400 members of the Narouee clan have been killed since 1979, Mawlavi Narouee remains tolerant in his views. He discourages people from using violence and encourages patience.

He supported negotiations with Teheran in the hope that Sunnis would receive local government posts and promotes economic and social development. His moderate views are often criticized by radical elements in the province.

But many credit him and his moderate colleagues with preventing increased bloodshed and violence in the province.

Apparently none of that matters to the radical Islamic regime in Teheran. Narouee was arrested and is being kept incommunicado in an undisclosed location.

RELIGIOUS INTOLERANCE is not new to the Islamic republic. Since the establishment of the republic in 1979, all of Iran’s religious minorities have suffered varying degrees of pressure and persecution. Even Shi’ite groups are not immune from persecution if they do not adhere to the Khomeini’ s radical interpretation

s.

One case in point is Ayatollah Kazemaini Borujerdiand. He was imprisoned and tortured together with many of his followers. His crime was to call for a non-political interpretation of Shi’ite Islam and for the separation of religion and state.

A few days ago, he published an open letter to the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and dared him to agree to a free referendum under international supervision.

But what goes on in Sistan-Baluchistan and other predominantly Sunni provinces differs greatly from such a vision.

Recently, two Sunni clerics Moulavi Muhammad Yousof Sohrabi and Moulavi Abdoulghodus Mollazahi were executed after being forced to confess on television that they were actively creating divisions between Shi’ites and Sunnis. Since 2004, more than 130 people, mostly Sunni men, from as young as 15, have been executed or killed in Sistan-Baluchistan on similar charges.

On September 7, seven young Baluchi men, three of whom were related to the headmaster of the Imam Abu Hanifa Mosque, were arrested by security forces in the city of Zahedan.

Their whereabouts remain unknown.

Since the beginning of the revolution many Sunni mosques in predominately Shi’ite cities have been destroyed, closed, or converted to Shi’ite mosques. In cities such as Mashhad, Ahwaz, Turbat-e-Jaam, Shiraz and Teheran, many Sunni mosques have been closed or destroyed by the regime. Getting a license to build a new one is impossible. Such a systematic assault on mosques by a regime that professes Islamic faith is quite astounding.

Khatami, a likely presidential candidate, would like us to believe that the regime he represents seeks to create a world in which religion, politics and faith can live in harmony. A few former diplomats, who perhaps seek further honor and glory, buy his line.

But hopefully not for long. As Edmund Burke has said: “Hypocrisy can afford to be magnificent in its promises, for never intending to go beyond promises, it costs nothing.”

Khatami and his colleagues should be forced to respond to serious questioning about the recent events in Iran. His easy statements about “peaceful coexistence” must not be accepted so easily – not by Annan and Robinson and not by the rest of the world.

I lived through the era of the breakup of the many European Colonial Empire territories and states in Africa and the Middle East.

As I watched the Muslim hoards flood north into Europe while I w as

stationed in North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe in the fifties and sixties, I wondered if Europe would not limit their immigration at some later time. Being acquainted with the Islamic faith, I could not help but wonder if the general English and European populous were aware this huge influx of foreigners looked upon them as infidels, who worshipped no god or a false god. I wondered if they knew there is little tolerance with Christianity if Islam controls the government.

And even when Islam does not control the government, the fear of terror in reprisal for helping Israel causes the government not to support Jews.

The Islamic population continued to expand rapidly after I retired from the USAF-NSA in 1971, constantly doubling ever few years due to an Islamic birthrate explosion.

When Israel is eventually attacked by Islamic forces, both the Europe Union and the Vatican will end up siding with the Arabs. The fear of reprisals by the growing Islamic percentage of the overall population of the European Union Nations will be sufficient pressure to cause them to back Islamic forces in their slaughter of Middle East Jews. Europe did nothing to stop Hitler’s slaughter of the Jews. I believe we will watch a repeat performance by Europe when Islam drives south into Israel.

Report identifies UK terrorist enclaves

Secret enclaves of al-Qaeda extremists based in London, Birmingham and Luton are planning mass-casualty attacks in Britain, according to a leaked Government intelligence report.

The document, which was drawn up by the intelligence branch of the Ministry of Defense, MI5 and Special Branch, states that “some thousands” of extremists are active in the UK. They are predominantly UK-born and aged between 18 and 30, and many are believed to have been trained in overseas terrorist camps.

Under the heading “International Terrorism”, the report, which is marked “restricted” states: “For the foreseeable future the UK will continue to be a high-priority target for international terrorists aligned with al-Qaeda. It will face a threat from British nationals, including Muslim converts, and UK-based foreign terrorists, as well as terrorists planning attacks from abroad.”

The report states that the threat from the Islamist extremist community in the UK is “diverse and widely distributed” but adds that the numbers of terrorist in Britain is “difficult to judge”.

The document does state, however, that the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre, which is based in MI5’s headquarters at Thames House in London, estimates that there are “some thousands of extremists in the UK committed to supporting Jihadi activities, either in the UK or abroad”.

A year ago Jon athan Evans, the director general of MI5, said in a speech th

at his organisation had identified that there were at least 2,000 individuals who posed a threat to national security and public safety.

Since 2001, over 1,200 terrorist suspect have been arrested, over 140 have been charged and more than 45 have been convicted of terrorism offences, according to Home Office figures.

It is also estimated that there are some 200 terrorist networks functioning in Britain today who are involved in at least 30 plots.

But this latest security assessment appears to suggest that the number of individuals who now pose a threat to the UK is even higher.

The report continues: “The majority of extremists are British nationals of south Asian, mainly Pakistani origin but there are also extremists from north and east Africa, Iraq and the Middle East, and a number of converts.

The overwhelming majority of extremists are male, typically in the 18-30 age range.

“The ma in extremist concentrations are

in London, Birmingham, with significant extremist networks in the South East, notably Luton.

Extremist networks are principally engaged in spreading their extremist message, training, fund raising and procuring non-lethal military equipment to support the Jihads in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq, and sending recruits to the conflicts.

“UK-based extremists, either under the direction of al-Qaeda, or inspired by al-Qaeda’s ideology of global Jihad, have also engaged in attack planning in the UK.”

Although the document specifically names London, Birmingham and south east England as areas of extremist activity, MI5 believe that the threat posed by Islamist extremists comes from across the UK. In an attempt to deal with the growing number of terrorists, MI5 now has nine regional offices and has almost doubled its staff numbers from 1,800 in 2001 to 3,500 today.

There are around 1.5 million Muslims in Britain, a million of whom live in London. There are 150,000 Muslims in Birmingham and a further 27,000 in Luton. There are also an estimated 10,000 Afro-Caribbean Muslims or white converts.

Some of the terrorists involved in the plot to bring down airliners using liquid bombs came from London, where a bomb factory had been established.

Birmingham, one of the centres of Islamic radicalisation in Britain, was where a plot was formed to kidnap and behead a British soldier.

The plot was lead by Parviz Khan, an unemployed charity worker who formed a terrorist cell in the city. The extremists planned to video the execution and release the film on the internet.

Luton has a growing Muslim population and has been a hot-bed of radical activity. The extremist group al-Muhajiroun has also been very active in the town. The 7/7 bombers assembled in Luton, before travelling to London to carry out their attacks.

The document also reveals that many of the terror networks operating in the UK include extremists who have been trained in terrorist camps overseas and have “some ability to construct improvised explosive devices, incorporating home-made explosives”.

It adds: “The availability of training/guidance and the necessary components to build improvised explosive devices (IED), allied with extremists’ known targeting preferences, mean that IED attacks against crowded places, intended to cause mass casualties, are the most likely form of attack in the UK.”

It is also made clear in the report that al-Qaeda cells are planning further attacks in UK with the so-called Government Security Zone (GSZ), an area which covers the Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, Buckingham and St James’ Palaces, as a possible target. The threat level in the GSZ is described in the report as “severe”.

Security officials are convinced that UK-based al-Qaeda cells will attempt to carry out another “spectacular” inside the UK with major transport termini, such as airports and train stations, being the most likely targets.

Patrick Mercer, the Tory MP for Newark, said al-Qaeda now had support in large parts of the country, especially around Luton which was the spot where the 7/7 terrorists assembled before travelling to London to mount the Tube bombings.

He added: “We know that subversion and support for al-Qaeda is taking place in campuses and prisons all over the UK.

The fact that we have not been attacked for over two years should not be taken by anyone as evidence that the threat has gone away, in fact it is just the contrary.”
