The Arabs and Persians are now enjoying their day of raging against the Father of Jesus Christ, and basking in their vain imagination that Allah has no son. They are setting themselves and taking counsel like a pack of wolves together, lying in wait preparing to destroy the Father’s chosen people, the son’s of Israel. God will allow them to initially have great success and his people Israel will be trapped in the wilderness of the Negev for some three and one half years. Arabs will really howl like a pack of wolves during that period, declaring Allah to be the true God.

But at the end of that time, they will experience the wrath of God as his Son Jesus returns to rule over what few of them are left after the final battle of Armageddon.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert received an unusual vote of confidence on Tuesday evening from Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah as the latter reveled in Olmert’s comments from earlier this week in which he said the idea of Greater Israel was no longer relevant.

“The Lebanese resistance pounded the last nail in the coffin of ‘Greater Israel’ after the defeat it (Israel) suffered in 2000,” Nasrallah declared proudly in a speech delivered after the breaking of the Ramadan fast.

“The victories of 2000 and 2006 destroyed the dream of a vast Israeli power. The mighty Israel fell in the last war, and it has now become as the Arabs once were – making speeches and threats. Today we face ‘Mediocre Israel.'”

In what was likely his last cabinet meeting as prime minister, Olmert said “the notion of Greater Israel no longer exists, and anyone who still believes in it is deluding themselves.

Olmert spoke soon after the cabinet’s debate on the controversial evacuation-compensation bill ended. “Forty years after the Six Day War ended, we keep finding excuses not to act. This isn’t doing Israel any good. The international community in starting to view Israel as a future binational state,” Olmert said.

‘Natural Palestine’

Nasrallah shared his geopolitical beliefs with his audience, saying there were three different models of the State of Israel.

“The first Israel is the vast one stretching from the Nile and to the Euphrates. The second is the strong Israel, which does not include Lebanon and Jordan but settles for historic Palestine, but it is a strong country that forces its decisions on the region.

And there is ‘regular Palestine,’ the borders of which are unknown.

“The Palestinians sought autonomy in Gaza and the West Bank, however the events that transpired after the Intifada and opposition in Israel forced it to withdraw from Gaza. This is a withdrawal from the borders of ‘natural Palestine.”

Nasrallah also addressed the assassination of Hizbullah operations officer, Imad Mugniyah. “Those who wanted to kill Imad Mugniyah – should worry,” he said. He also stressed that “the resistance in Lebanon has gone past the stage where it relies on a political or military leader, and it has the ability to create leaders on all levels.”

On Sunday, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that “the notion of a Greater Israel no longer exists.” The media report that negotiations are being held regarding the future of the Golan Heights. Haim Ramon proposes that we tempt settlers to evacuate some regions in the country in exchange for payments, and Ron Pundak, one of the Oslo architects, recently claimed that “the Oslo agreement was and still is a historic and unprecedented achievement.”

The barrages of Israeli willingness for concessions in every area present our leaders as very serious candidates for a reality show where obese people try to lose weight. It appears they are obsessed with losing every possible square kilometer of our country.

In any company, such characters would never be allowed to manage negotiations. After all, those who declare that their opening position is that everything belongs to their opponent cannot represent a company, let alone a state. After all, in the Middle East, when you renounce your right to put up a flag at a certain location, it shows that you are the weak side recognizing someone else’s ownership of the land.

Yet we, the Jews, are chronic sycophants. Those who are left of the center of the political spectrum are certain that “we’re not right.” These people never opened a Bible, or perhaps they fail to understand what it says – or maybe they don’t want to understand. Therefore, they are convinced that we are occupiers and robbers. Crusaders. This is where their submissive and apologetic conduct stems from.

‘It’s all mine’

They do not have the courage to say: “The whole Land of Israel is mine.” And so, while our enemies excel in playing this game and constantly claim that “it’s all mine,” our own spokespersons utter vague statements and are even scared to argue that “half of it is mine.”

The argument which our enemies must hear is: “It’s all mine.” This should be the starting point for discussions. With the exception of Ron Pundak and a handful of peace junkies who apparently reside in Disneyland, people here no longer believe in delusions.

The end results clearly point to a link between concessions, “gestures” and bloodshed.

Therefore, even if I do not recognize the national-historical-strategic importance of some deserted field in the middle of nowhere, I do not rush to give it up.

Such concession means admitting to the illegitimacy of our existence in our own country.

The road from there to weakness and extermination is short, as is indeed happening.

Therefore, Mr. Olmert, you would do well to end this real estate striptease. It would be good if you stopped encouraging the enemy. You already made terrible mistakes that the people of Israel had to pay for with too much blood and sweat, and with too many tears.

On this front at least, try to minimize the damages before your resignation. Indeed, you are convinced that “Greater Israel no-longer exists,” but reality indicates that it is you in fact who’s finished.

During many years of personal contact with Sunni and Shiite military personal, I learned to never try to reason with them on any of the wild stories and legends they are emotionally convinced are the truth. I quickly learned the majority of wild tales they passed on to me were not even in the Koran.

And after I read the Koran, I was not surprised to discover how differently Sunni and Shiite interpret some of its verses.

After my initial attempt to exchange conversation on what I knew was based on the Bible, and what they believed based on the Koran, I rarely ever made a second attempt to bring up the subject again.

I was often greeted with the same reply: “There is one God, Allah, and Muhammad is his Prophet,” which was usually repeated several times, and often in more of a chant that normal conversational dialog,

Jerusalem is not mentioned even once in the Koran. After Palestine was occupied by the Muslims, its capital was Ramle, 30 miles to the west of Jerusalem, signifying that Jerusalem meant nothing to them.

In 682 C.E., 50 years after Mohammad’s death, Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr rebelled against the Islamic rulers in Damascus, conquered Mecca and prevented pilgrims from reaching Mecca for the Hajj. Abd al-Malik, the Umayyad ruler, needed an alternative site for

the pilgrimage and settled on Jerusalem which was then under his control.

In order to justify this choice, a verse from the Koran was chosen which states: “Glory to Him who caused His servant to travel by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque.” The meaning ascribed to this verse is that “the farthest mosque” is in Jerusalem and that Mohammad was conveyed there one night (although the journey took three days by camel) on the back of al-Buraq, a magical horse with the head of a woman and wings of an eagle.

He tethered the horse to the Western Wall of the Temple Mount and from there ascended to heaven.

Orthodox Muslim thinkers have concluded that the nocturnal journey was a dream of Mohammad’s. The people of Mecca, who knew Muhammad well, did not believe this story. Another difficulty with this belief is that Islamic tradition tells us that al-Aqsa mosque is near Mecca on the Arabian Peninsula.

This was unequivocally stated in Kitab al-Maghazi, a book by the Muslim historian and geographer al-Waqidi.

One aim of the Islamization of Jerusalem is to undermine the legitimacy of the older religions, Judaism and Christianity, which consider Jerusalem to be a holy city.

Though Judaism and Christianity can exist side by side in Jerusalem, Islam regards both of them as betrayals of Allah and will continue to do all in its power

to expel both of them from this city.

Notably, this expulsion is retroactive: The Islamic broadcasters of the Palestinian radio stations consistently make it a point to claim that the Jews never had a temple on the Temple Mount.

Must Judaism and Christianity defer to myths related in Islamic texts or envisioned in Mohammad’s dreams, long after Jerusalem was established as the ancient center of

these two religions, which preceded Islam

After claiming to have spent nine years nurturing democracy in Pakistan and festooning the country’s military dictatorship with $11bn in aid, the Bush administration’s policy is careering out of control, as US soldiers trade bullets with the forces of what was once a most-favoured ally in the “war on terror”. On Sunday night, Pakistan border troops fired on a raiding party of American commandos emerging from two Chinooks in an attempt to cross on foot from Afghanistan into the Pakistan village of Angoor Adda. They had no permission to be there.

This was the latest in a series of forays into Pakistan sovereign territory taken by US special forces at the behest of President Bush. In July he signed an executive order to sidestep Pakistan’s freely elected government in the rush to claim al-Qaida scalps – especially Osama bin Laden’s. In the past six weeks, US missiles have rained down on Pakistani villages, with Predator drones lighting up the country’s tribal belt and hunter-killer teams dropping into Pakistan’s villages in the dead of night.

All good timing for the Republicans: these red-blooded offensives play well in America’s heartlands; the ailing Bush and his party have been re-br

anded, Rambo-style, as sidestepping an untrustworthy ally to take the fight directly to the terrorists.

However, it is spectacularly bad timing for Pakistan, the raids commencing just three days before Asif Ali Zardari was sworn in as president.

During his inaugural speech in Islamabad on September 6, more than 30 civilians were killed by a suicide bombing in Peshawar as the local population vented its anger at the incursions.

Zardari has used a family trip to Britain to gain an urgent sit-down with Gordon Brown.

Yesterday he flew in to see off his oldest daughter, Bakhtawar, 18, who is studying English literature at Edinburgh University. Today in Downing Street, Zardari will warn the prime minister that the latest twist in the war on terror will “only lead to greater disaster, more hatred, more alienation, more ghettos, more recruits, and more violence”. Without Britain’s help in holding back the US, buying the new Pakistan government breathing space, anti-American sentiment will wash over the country; Zardari and his Pakistan People’s party coalition will be unable to stop it spiralling out of control.

If it sounds like blackmail, with Zardari bargaining by placing a gun to his own head – an age-old diplomatic tactic of Pakistan leaders – consider the evidence. Pakistan is in the grip of Islamist-driven chaos with the white pennants of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the country’s home-grown medievalists, flying from government offices across North and South Waziristan. North-West Frontier Province, its once cosmopolitan capital of Peshawar and its former ski resorts in the Swat valley, have been encircled by the movement’ s Vice and Virtue Brigade

s. The strategically vital province of Baluchistan is simmering; and the economic engine of Karachi is witnessing an explosion of violence.

Zardari does not convince everyone, given the welter of corruption charges that once circled him, but he is not the only one worried. The fears of the normally silent Pakistan armed forces were reflected this weekend in an extraordinary article by Lieutenant General Shahid Aziz, who served as the chief of general staff under Zardari’s predecessor, Pervez Musharraf.

Gen Aziz accused Musharraf of inviting the Americans to fight their war on Pakistani territory, without consulting the army: “Militants will multiply by the thousands,” he warned. “The Pakistani army will not be able to support US operations. Financial crisis and street unrest will create chaos in the country and war will spread.”

Today Gordon Brown will be asked to put his faith in Zardari, an acquisitive man once reviled in this country and his own as “Mr 10%”. Days after the assassination of his wife, Benazir Bhutto, Zardari produced a handwritten will; and now he has resurrected a series of radical measures drafted by Benazir shortly before her death.

The documents make for compelling reading: “The enemy the west has identified [a handful of al-Qaida and Taliban leaders] is the wrong target.

The concern of the developed world is motivated entirely by a single consideration – its own safety. You cannot wage wars against ideas. Fight them with different means.”

One of these – already shown to the foreign secretary, David Miliband – is the formation of an intergovernmental counter-terrorist body. Its happy-clappy working title, United Against Terrorism, belies a serious ambition.

Zardari will call for all of Pakistan’s regional neighbours or mentors – Russia, China, Afghanistan, Iran and India among them – to sit together and think through the crises. The US and the UK would also be present but in the background. “A consensus is necessary so the war on terror is not considered an American war but is owned by all countries,” the paper concludes.

Not only would such a move distance Washington from Islamabad, it would also feed into the counter-insurgency strategy for Pakistan’s border areas that Zardari will also be revealing today in Downing Street.

Referred to by his aides as a new Marshall plan, it calls for an international consortium led by the UK to reconstruct Pakistan’s tribal areas, unravelling extremist infrastructure that grew massively during the Musharraf years – when more than a dozen proscribed terrorist organisations were allowed to regroup under new names, and pro-jihad madrasas trebled to 13,000. Zardari proposes a reconstruction budget to revitalise everything from local transport to water supplies. His aides have drawn up employment schemes and proposed wholesale reforms of partisan local police and local government. The families of those who die in the struggle against extremism are to be paid compensation, and those who are injured will have their medical costs covered.

Finally, Zardari is offering to establish a special intelligence cell at the Pakistan High Commission in London, which will act as a storehouse for information about Islamists and terror threats, tracking British Pakistanis as they make their way from the UK to Pakistan – a concrete boon to British counter-terrorism officials, who recently revealed that eight out of 10 current investigations in the UK have a close connection to Pakistan. Given the spectacular collapse of the airline bomb plot trial this month, this cell might tip the balance in Zardari’s favour. “We all want fewer blunders,” Wajid Shamsul Hasan, Pakistan’s high commissioner in London, said.

In a notoriously difficult foreign policy arena, injected with precious few new ideas, there are signs that Brown is ready to take Zardari seriously. The Foreign Office has already played a vigorous and little known role in getting Zardari elected president: Sir Mark Lyall Grant, the FCO political director, used his offices to elegantly strong-arm Pakistani political factions exiled to the UK into voting for the PPP’s presidential candidate. In a daring move, the MQM party, which has offices in north London – and was set against the PPP – was talked into becoming temporary champion of a PPP machine it had previously only bombed and shot at.

Damascus has signaled to Washington and Paris: Don’t interfere.

It is the largest Syrian force to invade Lebanon since Damascus was forced to end its occupation of the country in May 2005, three months after former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri was assassinated.

Tripoli is Lebanon’s second-largest city, with half a million inhabitants, most of them Sunni Moslems but including large Christian and Alawite communities.

Bashar Assad clearly feels he can safely embark on a fresh foreign adventure to occupy northern Lebanon without fear of restraint.

According to DEBKAfile’s Washington and Paris sources, the US and French governments knew what was coming. Both had heard Damascus accusing the pro-Western Lebanese majority leader Saad Hariri and Saudi Arabia of sponsoring a bid by Muslim Salafite movements and radicals close to al Qaeda to set up a “Lebanese Kandahar” in Tripoli, in order to keep the Shiite Hizballah out.

Israel was in the picture too.

During French president Nicolas Sarkozy’s visit to Damascus last month, Bashar Assad said the West should understand that Syria could not accept a “jihadist base on its doorstep.”

DEBKAfile’s sources report this pretext for Syria’s blatant invasion of northern Lebanon is hardly likely to go down seriously. For five years, Assad provided al Qaeda and other radical Islamists a corridor through Syria to fight American troops in Iraq plus training facilities.

The Concept of a ‘Greater Israel’

May be over for Israel’s Prime Minister

God promised the land to Jacob, the man he named Israel, through his father Isaac and his grandfather Abraham. Regardless of international opinion, the land belongs to Israel, not the Arabs, the sons of Abraham through Ishmael and his six sons through Keturah. In fact, ‘Greater Israel’ to God is not just the Golan Heights, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and the rest of Israel today, the land actually belongs to Israel from the River of Egypt in the Sinai all the way to the Euphrates River, as far north as Hamath in Syria, and as far south as the waters of strife in Kadesh.

Prophecy Update Number 67 closed by stating the following:

“Israel will claim all the land from the River of Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea to the Euphrates River, with a northern latitudinal border extending to Hamath (Hama) in Syria, and a southern border extending to Kadesh in the Sinai. And all this is not by accident, but by design and promise, for it was God’s ancient land grant promise to Abraham and to Israel. Its periphery is laid out in Genesis and Ezekiel. Its northern limits were to extend to the latitude of Hamath (Hama) in Syria, and its southern limits to the latitude of Kadesh. Its longitudinal limits to the west were to extend to the Mediterranean Sea and to the River of Egypt, and its eastern longitudinal limits were to extend to the “entrances thereof” of the Euphrates River. This is the area of Micah 5:6 that Israel will “waste” and then claim for a thousand years. After Christ has himself (all by himself) defeated the Assyrian at the battle of Armageddon to being in “the peace” of a thousand years, then Israel will roar north out of the Negev to mop up what is left of a demoralized army that is fleeing north. Israel will first recover Jerusalem, then drive north, northeast, and east to claim all the land west of the Euphrates River.”

Micah 5:7 – And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

Just as man had no control over the elements of God that were responsible for the sudden arrival of moisture over a wide area of land, neither would man have any control over the sudden arrival of Israel spreading across the vast tract of land God had said He

would one day give to Israel. She will exist as the most important nation on this planet in the midst of all the Gentile nations.

Micah 5:8 – And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.

ondage of the Assyrian, she will be the most powerful nation on this planet. All the other nations left on the earth will fear her for some 1000 years because of the awareness of the Second Advent of Christ, and His reigning on the throne of David in Jerusalem. Israel will be a Lion nation in the midst of sheep nations. The temple will be rebuilt after the Second Advent and then Christ, the Messianic Glory of God, will enter it to begin a reign that lasts forever: First, an earthly reign of 1000 years, which then laps over into a heavenly reign that lasts forever.

Ezekiel 43:4-7 – And the glory of

the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. [5] So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. [6] And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.

Micah 5:9 – Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.

Israel will be the most powerful and feared nation that has ever existed on this earth.

For some 1000 years no nation or nations shall dare to stand against her because of her God. All the Gentile nations will be required to send representatives to Jerusalem each year at the Feast of Tabernacles to worship the Messiah. If they fail to do so God will cause famine and plague in their land until they submit to His will.

Zechariah 14:16-19 – And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

[17] And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

[18] And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of ta

Prime minister: The concept of a ‘Greater Israel’ is over

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Sunday that the ‘Greater Israel’ idea was over.

“‘Greater Israel’ is finished. There is no such thing as that anymore.

Whoever talks in those terms is only deluding himself,” said the prime minister at the weekly cabinet during which Vice Premier Haim Ramon’s evacuation-compensation bill was discussed.

“It doesn’t help Israel.

The international community has changed its perspective ahead of the possibility of Israel becoming a bi-national state. We can prove that we were always the initiators and were more creative and that it was the other side that was more stubborn. However, as usual, we are winning the argument but are gradually going to lose the most important thing,” he said.

Olmert explained that although excellent justifications could be brought as to why talk of of concessions to the Palestinians should be postponed, time was “not ticking in Israel’s favor.”

Olmert admitted that he had changed his mind on the subject. “I admit that I didn’t always have this opinion. I thought and I also said to [Defense Minister] Ehud Barak that the concessions he offered at Camp David were exaggerated. I believed that the land from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean was all ours since in every place there that is excavated, there

is evidence of Jewish History.

“But finally, after a lot of suffering and misgivings, I came to the conclusion that we need to share the land with whom we are residing if we don’t want to become a bi-national state.”

The prime minister emphasized that Israel was the strongest country in the region. “We are strong like no other country in the region, no entity can overcome us,” he said. “The strategic threats don’t come from questions of where the borders are. We can argue over every small detail but we will then have no peace partner and no international backing. We will just feel that we were right, as we have done for the last 40 years.”

According to Ramon’s evacuation-compensation bill, NIS 1.1 million will be given to each family that voluntarily moves from isolated areas of the West Bank to the Negev.

Ramon’s bill would give a 25 percent increase in compensation offered to settlers who leave the West Bank for the Negev and a 15% increase to those who move to the Galilee.

Ramon told ministers that 18% of the settlers east of the security fence (over 11,000 individuals) were prepared to leave of their own accord.

The evacuation of residents living in the West Bank, insisted Ramon, was “an inevitable step for those who believe in the two-state [solution], who are the majority of the Israeli public. The government’s assertion, that Israel is not prepared to continue to control areas east of the [security] fence, will strengthen Israel in its negotiations with the Palestinians and with the international community. This program will also strengthen the settlement blocs west of the [security] fence and leave the area under Israels sovereignty.”

Ramon also said that Israel and the Palestinians weren’t close to reaching even a scaled-back version of a peace agreement, further diminishing hopes of any significant strides by the end of the year.

“Right now, we don’t see reaching a shelf agreement or a declaration of principles on the horizon,” he said.

Meanwhile, Public Security Minister Avi Dichter criticized the bill, saying that “the current discussion is a mistake in its essence and also in its timing,” he said, adding that it was “putting the cart before the horse.” “Even if houses that should be destroyed are destroyed, legislation preventing them from being rebuilt is problematic, full of difficulties and may even provoke violence,” he continued. “Voluntary evacuation will only weaken, not strengthen Israel.”

Transportation Minister and Kadima leadership candidate Shaul Mofaz also seemed to oppose the bill, but was more tempered in his reservations.

“Evacuation compensation in a reality that lacks an agreed upon framework, will only raise the Palestinians’ demands and cause damage,” Mofaz said during the meeting.
