SUPPLEMENT TO PREVIOUS BLOG ON FALSE PEACE

The two excerpts, which follow our heading and Scriptures, give good reason to believe an era of false peace in the Middle East is dawning.

At long last everything seems to be blending into the recipe prophecy indicated would be ready to taste just before the final attack of 10 Arab nations against Israel, which would culminate at the final great battle of Armageddon some three and one half years after the initial attack.

The three and one half years will have a brief period of false peace before it.

I am of the OPINION, repeat, OPINION that, after the false peace ends, the sequence of war events outlined in the following chronology will begin at some point between 2010 and 2015, and will continue for some three and one half years after the initial attack. The war will begin at any point in time between 2010 and 2015, in my OPINION.

(1) The False Peace and Initial Sudden Attack by 10 Islamic Nations

I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. [4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Revelation 17:12,13,17 – And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. [13] These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

[17] For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

(2) The Events Immediately Following the Attack

Zechariah 13:8 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Zechariah 14:1,2 – Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. [2] For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

(3) A Three and One Half Year Stay in the Negev for Israel

Revelation 12:17 – And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 7:4 – And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Revelation 11:3 – And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

Daniel 7:24,25 – And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

[25] And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

(4) Antichrist’s Call goes Out to Europe, China, Russia, Africa, and Asia to Come to Israel, near the End of the Three and One Half years, for the Final Battle of Armageddon.

Revelation 16:13-16 – And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. [14] For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. [15] Behold, I come as a thief.

Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. [16] And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

(5) The Final Battle of Armageddon

Daniel 11:45 to 12:1 – And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. [1] And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Revelation 19:19-21 – And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

[20] And the beast was taken, and with him

the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image.

These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

[21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Daniel 2:44 – And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Mediterranean union wants to rid Mideast of WMD

PARIS –The leaders of 43 nations from Europe, the Middle East and North Africa have launched a Union for the Mediterranean, a brainchild of French President Nicolas Sarkozy that aims to improve cooperation in the region with practical projects that parallel efforts toward Mideast peace.

Sarkozy’s ambitious plan overlaps with European Union projects already in progress, and it was melded into EU efforts and expanded to include 27 members of the EU, not just those on the Mediterranean coast. Nearly all of the 43 nations sent a president or prime minister to the summit. Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi objected to the idea and refused to come.

Sarkozy reveled at having brought so many leaders to the same table for the first time.

“We dreamed about a Union for the Mediterranean, and now it is a reality,” Sarkozy said in closing the summit in a palace abutting the River Seine. He called it an “extremely moving, very important moment.”

Egypt’s President Hosni Mubarak, co-presiding at the summit with Sarkozy, called on the new union to tackle reducing the wealth “gap” between north and south, and cited other southern Mediterranean “challenges” as education, food safety, health and social welfare.

He said the union has better chances of success than a previous cooperation process launched in Barcelona in 1995 because the new body focuses on practical projects.
While trying to unify the region, the summit laid bare the deep divisions that still slice through it and highlighted how hard it will be to parlay the meeting’ s goodwill and word

s into real progress. Syria’s president refused to shake the Israeli prime minister’s hand, and Morocco’s king snubbed the meeting attended by the president of rival Algeria.

In a final declaration, Israel, Syria and the Palestinians along with countries across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa agreed to “pursue a mutually and effectively verifiable Middle East Zone free of weapons of mass destruction.”

The summit declaration also condemned “terrorism in all its forms” and announced six major projects, from a common university and easier travel visas for students to depolluting the Mediterranean sea and promoting solar power.

It also spoke of democratic principles, human rights and fundamental freedoms — values Western critics have accused such union members as Syria of violating.

The countries committed to “consider practical steps to prevent the proliferation” of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and their delivery systems. It was unclear, however, how the signatories — who included Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Syrian President Bashar Assad — would enforce the pledge.

Israel is widely believed to have a stockpile of nuclear weapons but neither confirms nor denies it has them — an ambiguity meant to scare potential enemies from considering an annihilating attack while denying them the rationale for developing their own nuclear deterrent.

Recently, tensions between Israel and arch enemy Iran have risen over Tehran’s nuclear program. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has often spoken of wiping Israel off the map. And Israel and ally the United States believe Tehran’s nuclear program is aimed at producing nuclear weapons, despite Iran’s insistence it is for producing nuclear energy.

Syria, another Israeli foe, may also have nuclear ambitions.

Last year, Israeli jets destroyed what U.S. intelligence officials said was believed to be a partially built nuclear reactor in Syria, though Syrian officials said it was part of a non-nuclear military program.

Assad sat out Olmert’s speech at the summit in an apparent rebuff just hours after Ehud Olmert urged Damascus to open direct peace talks, Israeli officials said. Assad also declined to shake hands with Olmert.

“We are not seeking symbols,” Assad said on French television, adding he avoided a handshake with Olmert because the two nations are still only in indirect peace talks.

There was no official Israeli reaction to the apparent snub.

Club Med claims Beirut-Damascus deal as first Mid-East success

PARIS: Israel and the Palestinians “have never been this close” to a peace deal, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said last night following talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Paris and before a diplomatic breakthrough with arch-foe Syria.

Mr Olmert and Mr Abbas were among 43 leaders in Paris for the launch of a new Union for the Mediterranean, which aims to boost co-operation in one of the world’s most volatile regions.

“We have never been as close to an accord as we are today,” Mr Olmert told a press conference following talks hosted by President Nicolas Sarkozy at the French presidential palace.

“We are approaching the moment when we will have to make decisive choices,” he said.

The declaration of optimism came as Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was to make history and seal detente with Europe by attending the launch of the French-inspired union alongside Mr Olmert overnight.

The diplomatic breakthrough — the first time Israeli and Syrian leaders would have been in the same room — enables Mr Assad to emerge from Western isolation three years after the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafik al-Hariri, a murder that many believe was orchestrated from Damascus.

On Saturday, Mr Assad held talks with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, who agreed to normalise relations between Damascus and Beirut. This was an early success for Mr Sarkozy, who hosted the talks.

Mr Olmert said last night that while he hoped indirect peace talks launched with Syria, via Turkey, would “soon become direct”, the peace process with the Palestinians remained Israel’s utmost priority.

Mr Abbas and Mr Olmert called on Mr Sarkozy, as President of France, chair of the European Union presidency and host of the new Mediterranean Union, to take a front-seat role in steering peace negotiations.

Though the two sides have met regularly since the relaunch of the process last November, after a seven-year hiatus, talks have stalled over the issue of Jewish settlements on the West Bank and in East Jerusalem.

Mr Abbas said that Mr Sarkozy’s “friendship” with both Israelis and Palestinians “enables you to play an important role to help the peace process succeed in a few months”.

“We have started an in-depth negotiation with Ehud Olmert and Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni,” Mr Abbas said.

“We will pursue this effort. We are quite serious.”

Mr Sarkozy has been stepping up France’s Middle East diplomacy for the launch of the Mediterranean Union, bringing friends and foes together around the same table, and pushing to advance peace in the region.

The French leader said union between Europe and its Mediterranean neighbours would help countries in the region “learn to love each other”.

“It doesn’t mean that all of the problems are resolved of course,” Sarkozy said. “But the goal of the summit … is that we learn how to love each other in the Mediterranean, instead of continuing to hate and wage war.”

Heads of state and government from the 27 European Union nations and an arc of countries running from Morocco to the Balkans — representing 756 million people — will endorse the new forum at the Grand Palais on the Champs Elysee.

The summit aims to revitalise co-operation between the EU and Mediterranean countries, although it may be richer in symbolism than substance.

The new organisation aims to pursue practical projects with EU and private sector funding such as cleaning up the Mediterranean, using North Africa’s sunshine to generate solar power, and building road and sea highways. “What we need is a new political impulse, a new revitalisation, a new dynamism,” EU external relations commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner said.

France and Egypt will co-chair the new body for two years, but the location and powers of its secretariat remain to be resolved, and the Middle East conflicts that have bedevilled past EU-Mediterranean co-operation are still looming large.

While Mr Sarkozy said after the Syrian-Lebanese meeting on Saturday that Mr Assad and Mr Suleiman had come to an historic decision to open embassies in each other’s countries for the first time, the Syrian leader was more cautious, saying the sides must “define the steps to take to arrive at this stage”.

Syria and Lebanon have not had fully fledged embassies in each other’s countries since Lebanon became independent in 1943 and Syria in 1945.

Mr Assad, long accused by France of meddling in Lebanese politics, said: “We can say that Lebanon has moved from being a zone of turbulence, a war zone, to a more pacified zone where the Lebanese, and only the Lebanese, have the right to determine their own future.”

I think it is quite possible that the message carried by the destruction of the Syrian Nuclear Building may bring a type of false peace to the Syria, Hizbullah, Hamas, and Israel section of the Middle East. However, if this happens to be the prophetic “peace and safety” of I Thessalonians 5:3,4, then after you read the two following articles, one thing is certain – It can only be very temporary in duration!

I have been disappointed before, but I believe this taladiyeh has backing from all radical Middle East terrorist nations and organizations because it fits in with their preparations for the elimination of Israel. I believe it is possibly the beginning of the prophesied false peace, which is to come in before the final Middle East war ending at Armageddon.

The two Jerusalem Post Articles which follow our heading, and others over the last month, have given me hope we are standing on the verge of the beginning of the following Scripture slipping into place. If so, it makes my guesstimate of the last major Middle East war beginning at some point in time between 2010 and 2015 look quite reasonable.

I believe French President Nicola Sarkozy’s latest Midldle East attempts to bring peace to the area is now leading into the brief period of false peace that will precede an attack on Israel at some point in time between 2010 and 2015.

The French demands on Syria, Iran, Hizbullah, and Hamas are as loose as a goose compared to those offered by the United States, and French diplomats love to talk, talk, talk, and then talk, which allows the parties they address to prepare for war as they chatter. This is just what these four Islamic fanatics are looking for to promote their agenda in the Middle East.

This is a bittersweet moment in time for me. I have long hoped for this day, when I could actually feel confident false peace was on its way in, which is a very sweet sensation to my soul.

But at the same time I dread when the sudden destruction comes on Israel to end the false peace, and it gives a bitter taste to the sweetness as it goes down. I don’t know what was written in the little book

in the mighty angel’s hand in Revelation 10, but I have a strong suspicion we are about to find in the tribulation period when the seventh trumpet sounds. I have a sweet taste in my mouth about being taken up from this earth, but a bitter taste in my stomach for what is about to happen to Israel and all of the world’s unbelievers. Being caught up to heaven, before his wrath begins after the seventh trumpet sounds, will be the sweetest taste in my life up to that point in time, but knowing in advance what happens to those left behind is a bitter sensation to the inner man.

Revelation 10:7-11 – But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. Sarkozy’s Play For Mideast Peacemaker

French President Nicola Sarkozy is holding a rare meeting with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday, believing he can secure a role for France in the ever-elusive quest for peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors before a new U.S. administration takes office.

Relations between France and Syria have been strained since the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri in a February 2005 bombing in Beirut, blamed widely on Damascus.

Paris decided to shun Syrian officials after the murder, particularly in light of then-French President Jacques Chirac’s strong personal ties to Hariri.

Syria has consistently denied any involvement in the killing.

Sarkozy opened up to Damascus for believing that his moves and his friendship with the Jewish state will open doors for him. He trusts that Assad would pay him back as he crosses the gates of the Elysee Presidential Palace, a political extravaganza that could possibly signal the beginning of the end of Syria’s isolation.

After the set of talks, the Syrian leader will take part in a summit Sunday marking the launch of the Mediterranean Union, which will gather some 40 European and Mediterranean leaders in bids to boost cooperation between the European Union and Mediterranean rim states.

Most significantly, perhaps, Sarkozy’s Mediterranean Union initiative will mark the first time a Syrian president has ever sat at the same table as an Israeli delegation (although there will be no handshakes or souvenir photos for the participants).

Assad, accompanied by his wife Asma and several of his ministers, will stay in Paris after the summit for France’s Bastille Day celebrations. He will watch the massive military parade pass from the iconic Arc de Triomphe to the Place de la Concorde – his very presence truly unthinkable only a few weeks ago.

Syrian official sources told CBS News that Sarkozy was making plans to fly to Damascus next month to further ties with a country that was a former French colony.

Syria may represent Paris’ greatest possible sphere of influence in the Middle East.

Indeed, with U.S. mediation efforts in the Arab-Israeli conflict faltering, France could be striking at an opportune moment as it heads the rotating presidency of the E.U.

In an interview with the French daily Le Monde on Wednesday, Assad welcomed the French “break,” and said Syria was not prepared to offer any concessions to this U.S. administration.

“Frankly, we do not think that the current American administration is capable of making peace. It doesn’t have either the will or the vision, and it only has a few months left,” he said.

Politically, Sarkozy seems confident that by extending his hand to Damascus, he would eventually succeed in distancing Syria from Iran; the West’s key foe in the region.

“The French leader has realized that global isolation and dealing with Syria as an axis-of-evil country has turned to be more harming,” said political analyst Thabet Salem. “It brought Syria closer to Iran and made it more dependent on Tehran’s economic and political support.”

Economic considerations are likely to have played an important part in France’s openness and in Syria’s recent push for international respectability, which has included inviting the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit Syria and examine U.S. claims that the building bombed by Israel last September was intended to house a covert nuclear reactor. Most significantly, it agreed to hold indirect, Turkish-mediated talks with Israel after an eight-year freeze. The talks are expected to be upgraded soon to face-to-face negotiations, and Sarkozy seemingly wants to move fast to get a credit.

The last direct talks – between then-Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Syrian Foreign Minister Farouq al-Shara – stalled in 2000 in a dispute over how much of the Golan Heights (which Israel captured in a 1967 war) should go back to Syria.

“The benefits for Mr. Sarkozy would also fasten down the prospect of major commercial deals: A French consultant is working on engineering designs for the Damascus metro, a project that would appear to be tailor-made for French contractors, and the Toulouse-based Airbus Industrie could be in line for a contract to re-equip Syria’s national airline, whose fleet is now down to just six serviceable aircraft,” according to Marwan Qablan, a Syrian political analyst.

“Resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict has always been beyond France’s capability, let alone its interests,” Oablan added. “The Barcelona process failed mainly because of the tension and lack of trust between the Arabs and Israel. The Mediterranean project might act as a catalyst to increasing European involvement to resolve the conflict; and from Sarkozy’s point of view protect Israel.”

Paris – French President Nicolas Sarkozy met his Egyptian counterpart Hosni Mubarak on Saturday, kicking off a round of diplomacy with Middle East leaders ahead of an EU-Mediterranean summit on Sunday.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will mark his return to the European stage later in the day when he holds talks with both Sarkozy and Lebanon’s new president, Michel Suleiman, a day after a new Lebanese government finally took office.

Sarkozy strolled to his meeting with Mubarak in a central Paris hotel but was due to greet Assad and Suleiman with full pomp and ceremony at the Elysee Palace in the afternoon.

The three men were due to make a joint declaration at 6.40pm (local time) along with the emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, who helped broker a power-sharing deal among Lebanon’s feuding pro-Western and pro-Syrian factions in May.

France and many other western countries have shunned Syria in recent years, accusing Assad of destabilising neighbouring Lebanon and fuelling unrest across its borders with Iraq.

But following the deal that pulled Lebanon back from the brink of a new civil war, France decided to resume high level contacts with Syria and Sarkozy invited Assad to the EU-Mediterranean summit.

The high-profile gathering will give Assad the chance to hold his first meeting with Suleiman and, in a diplomatic first, take part in the Mediterranean Union summit alongside Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who flies into Paris on Sunday.

“This is an historic visit for me, an opening towards France and towards Europe,” Assad said in an interview with Le Figaro newspaper this week.

However, he said it would be premature to hold direct talks with Israel, apparently ruling out a face-to-face meeting with Olmert.

Assad’s appearance in Paris, and his invitation to attend Monday’s Bastille Day military parade, has been criticised by human rights activists and even French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner has said it doesn’t make him “especially comfortable.”

Syria sent troops to Lebanon, a former French protectorate, in 1976 and had a powerful grip on Lebanese politics over the following three decades.

It withdrew its troops in 2005 in the face of international pressure and Lebanese street protests following the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri, which France believes was orchestrated from Damascus.

Assad has denied Syria ordered the killing of Hariri, a close friend of former French President Jacques Chirac.

French officials say it is important to re-establish high-level ties with Syria and say its recent decision to embark on indirect peace talks with Israel shows that attitudes are changing in Damascus.

Sunday’s summit will draw more than 40 heads of state and government to Paris and is aimed at breathing new life into the existing Euro-Med partnership, creating a more equal dialogue between countries lining the Mediterranean.

PARIS (July 13) – Embattled Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert declared Sunday that Israel and the Palestinians have never been closer to making peace — even as a widening corruption probe brings him closer than ever to being ousted from office.

To help build confidence between the two sides, Olmert agreed in a one-on-one meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to release an unspecified number of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails, an Israeli official said.

Abbas, who met with Olmert at the French presidential palace ahead of a summit of European, Middle Eastern and African leaders, also sounded a positive note about the troubled peace talks, saying both sides were “serious and want to achieve peace.”

The two men met with French President Nicolas Sarkozy before sitting down together one-on-one.

“We have never been as close to a possible (peace) agreement as we are today,” Olmert told reporters before the three leaders entered their meeting.

Repeated rounds of Israeli-Palestinian peace talks since a peace conference in Annapolis, Md., last year have produced little change on the ground.

Israel has continued its contentious construction of homes on lands the Palestinians want for a future state, and has done little to scale back a network of roadblocks in the West Bank that hinder Palestinian movement and have severely handicapped prospects for the Palestinian economy.

Israel, meanwhile, says Abbas hasn’t done enough to curb militants bent on attacking Israel, and the Palestinian president remains powerless against Hamas militants who wrested control of the Gaza Strip last year. Abbas rules only the West Bank, but Israel says no peace deal could be implemented as long as Hamas holds sway in Gaza.

Despite the troubles on both sides, the atmosphere was friendly when Olmert and Abbas posed on the steps of the Elysee Palace with Sarkozy in the center.

Olmert and Abbas each rested an arm on the other’s back.

After the meeting, Olmert spokesman Mark Regev said Israel was committed to “try to reach a historic agreement by the end of this year.” Such an agreement, he said, “would outline what a two-state solution would look like.”

That’s a far less ambitious aim than the original objective set at the U.S.-hosted conference of reaching a detailed final deal by December.

As a “gesture” to Abbas, Olmert “agreed in principle” to release some of the thousands of Palestinian prisoners it holds, Regev said.

Because many Palestinian families have members in Israeli jails, prisoner releases are of paramount importance to the Palestinian people. Previous releases designed to bolster Abbas’ standing among the Palestinian people haven’t satisfied the Palestinians, because they have numbered in the dozens or hundreds.

Regev had no details on how many prisoners would be released or when, adding only that these prisoners would be separate from any freed as part of any prisoner swap for captured Israelis.

Israel plans on Wednesday to free five Lebanese prisoners in exchange for two soldiers captured by Lebanese Hezbollah guerrillas in 2006. The soldiers are believed to have been killed during or shortly after their capture, which touched off a monthlong war between Israel and Hezbollah.

In addition, Gaza’s Hamas rulers have demanded the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Gilad Schalit, an Israeli sergeant with French citizenship whose release Sarkozy has urged.

Talks on Schalit’s release are to be stepped up as part of a rocky truce Israel reached with Gaza militants last month.

Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat confirmed that Olmert promised to review Abbas’ request for a prisoner release “very positively.” He said the meeting — one of a series of get-togethers the two leaders hold every few weeks — was conducted in a “good atmosphere.”

Asked to comment on Olmert’s observation that the two sides were closer than ever to clinching a deal, Erekat replied, “We are having serious, in-depth negotiations on all issues.”

The main issues that have tormented peace talks for years have been the final borders between Israel and a future Palestinian state, the status of disputed Jerusalem and the fate of Palestinians who fled or were expelled from their homes in the Arab war on Israel that followed the Jewish state’s creation in 1948.

Erekat said peace talks weren’t affected by Olmert’s domestic troubles. On Friday, police announced that a corruption probe of Olmert had branched out into a new direction, and that the prime minister was suspected of billing multiple sources for identical trips, and pocketing the difference.

In May, Olmert saw his political fortunes plunge when a Jewish-American businessman testified in a Jerusalem court that he gave the Israeli leader hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash before he became prime minister in 2006 — testimony that has raised suspicions of influence peddling. Some of the money, businessman Morris Talansky claimed, bankrolled Olmert’s lavish tastes in cigars, pens and travel.

Olmert’s lawyers are to cross-examine Talansky this week, but Israeli political commentators have predicted that Olmert will not be able to survive the latest allegations against him.

Olmert has denied wrongdoing and promised to resign if indicted, but in the meantime, rivals in his governing Kadima Party are working on holding primaries in September to replace him as party leader.

Under Israel’s political system, the leader of the governing party usually serves as prime minister.

Hizbollah Will Eventually Trigger An End Time Jihad!

Daniel 11:40 – And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

Alexander the Great, the “notable horn” in Daniel 8:5, which was “broken” and replaced by four other horns in Daniel 8:8 that represented the four generals who would divide his kingdom among themselves after his death, was still very much alive when he captured Israel in 332 B.C., only to fall dead nine years later in 323 B.C.

In the division of his kingdom into four parts, Egypt and Israel were given to Ptolemy I, and his descendants ruled over Israel until 212 B.C., when Antiochus III conquered Israel from the north, and the Seleucids ruled over Israel until 167 B.C. The many Seleucid kings that ruled over Syria were individually identified as the “king of the north” by Daniel, and he called the individual Ptolemaic kings that ruled over Israel and Egypt the “king of the south.”

Daniel prophesied Alexander’s death some 268 years before it occurred. In Daniel’s prophecies from Daniel 11:5 to 11:45 he refers to two types of kings, kings of the north, who would rule as Syrian kings to the north of Israel, and to kings of the south that ruled over the territory that made up the Ptolemaic kingdom to the south of Syria. So the king of the south in Daniel 11:40 is the ruler in Israel “at the time of the end,” while the willful king of

the north is the ruler in Syria.

I firmly believe that it will be the terrorist army known as Hizbollah, under the directions of Syria and Iran, that will deliberately perform an act designed to get Israel to push north into Syria and Lebanon as an act of retribution, which will give international justification for 10 Arab nations, led by the Syrian ruler, to rumble south into Israel in a lightening surprise Jihad. I have watched the rise of the Hizbollah terrorist arm for some 26 years, and observed a weaving of its tentacles across many nations in an ever increasing involvement in the amazing recent growth of worldwide terrorism. I think it worthy of giving a brief history of the movement, and an outline of its current activities, because I believe it will be the catalyst used by Islam to lure Israel into the “end time” push into the territories of Syria and Lebanon. And I believe this push is likely to occur at some point in time between 2010 and 2015. Much of the information which follows was taken from a report by Lewis Lipkin, which was listed under the title “HIZBOLLAH INTERNATIONAL.”

Hizbollah was officially inaugurated in June of 1982.

At that time the Sunni Syrian government allowed the Shi’ite Iranian government to send a specialized group of 1000 into the north-south oriented Bekaa Valley of Lebanon, a long valley that had been occupied by some 60,000 Syrian forces. The group of 1000 was made up of military and religious teachers, who were members of the Ayatollah Khomeni’s Revolutionary Guards, and whose primary function was to establish a connection with Lebanon’s Shi’ia revolutionists. The first year of activity by this group was directed toward staying out of the limelight, during which time it could grow into a structured operational army of terrorists dedicated to the destruction of Israel and, eventually, when it grew sufficiently, to the destruction of all nations outside the protection and approval of its god Allah. It grew rapidly from its onset, recruiting the young Lebanese Shi’ites to its mission. Its military wing swelled due to abundant Iranian funding from huge oil revenues and the Syrian permissive attitude, which grew as long as western and Israeli forces stayed in Lebanon to promote a fragile peace.

By late 1983, the Hizbollah terrorist army had risen to almost 10,000 in number, and then it came out of the international terrorist closet forever by the truck bombing of the U.S. Mar ine headquarters

in Beirut. The ruthless slaughter of 241 of the 300 sleeping marines, as well as 56 France paratroopers in a separate incident, led to the withdrawal of the multilateral peace keeping force from all of Lebanon, with the exception of Syria, which then, for all practical purposes, took over Lebanon, at times referring to it as “greater” Syria. The loss of American

marines was officially denounced by Islamic governments while their people celebrated wildly in their streets.

Hizbollah had been so cleverly kept under wraps by Syria and Iran, that the attack was attributed to some vague “Shi’ite militant group.”

The Iranians succeeded in gaining the most control over Syria’s Shi’ite group, the Amal militia. They expanded from the Bekaa valley and became dominant in all of Lebanon’s southern Shi’ite villages, such that now, in reality, this area is both the territory and stronghold of Hizbollah. The growth of the Hizbollah military wing has been marked by many car-bombings, kidnappings of some West Europeans and Americans, kidnappings and murders of Israelis, many intermittent outbreaks of the shelling of Israeli communities in northern Israel, and, by the close of the twentieth century, more than 4,000 rockets of the Katyusha series had been fired at the single town of Kiryah Shemona.

Hizbollah has been steadily spreading its terrorist cells across the surface of the earth. It has organized cells in Europe, the United States, and South America. They are named “The Party of God,” and the following quote from Martin Kramer’s book, “Hizbollah’s Vision of the West,” makes plain their future intentions and bonding with Iran.

“We are the sons of the Nation of Hizbollah, whose vanguard God made victorious in Iran, reestablishing the nucleus of a central Islamic state in the world. We abide by the orders of the sole and wise and just command represented by the Supreme Jurisconsult who meets the necessary qualifications, and who is presently incarnate in the Imam and Guide, the great Ayatollah Ruhallah Al-Musawi Al-Khomeini, may his authority be perpetuated, enabler of the revolution of Muslims and harbinger of their glorious Renaissance.”

The Iranian–Hizbollah program for WORLD conquest was set forth by Khomeini while he was still in exile.

He stated: “There are two kinds of war in Islam: one is called jihad (holy war), which means the conquest of other countries in accordance with certain conditions. The other type of war is to preserve the independence of the Muslim country and the repulsion of foreigners. Jihad, or holy war, which is for the conquest of other countries and kingdoms, becomes incumbent after the formation of the Islamic state in the presence of the Imam or in accordance with his command. Then Islam makes it incumbent upon all adult males, provided they are not disabled or incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of other countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in EVERY country in the WORLD.”

The planned conquest of Israel by Islam is not the end

of Islamic fanaticism generated out of Iran. This is the pure religious zeal that drives men and women to pay the ultimate price of their lives to bring the religion of Allah to all nations of the world through conquest. This religion represents the joy of physical death in Jihad as a rare privilege that gives one a position of eternal joy in the heaven of Allah.

The day after September 11, 2001, President Bush was quick to declare that a war on terror would be directed against ALL terrorist groups of “global reach.” The Party of God is just as much a terrorist group as the Al Queda, but does not arouse the same degree of reaction or concern in the American media and government, most likely because it has not yet struck at America’s heartland. Rest assured that in time it will soon do so at the command of Syria and Iran.

The Congressional bipartisan commission, in its interim report, indicated its inquiry into the 9/11 event showed that cooperation between Hizbollah and Al-Qaida is extensive.

Suleiman: If talks fails, Lebanon will take back land by force

Should diplomacy fail to return Israeli-occupied land to Lebanon, the Lebanese army (LAF) will take it by force, Lebanese President Gen. Michel Sueleiman said on Sunday.

Suleiman was speaking at a press conference after meeting Syrian President Bashar Assad on the sidelines of the Mediterranean conference in Paris. The Lebanese president stressed, however, that the military option was the last resort.

Assad said Lebanon had an important role to play in the Middle East peace process and that any progress in future Israel-Lebanon negotiations would be made in coordination with Syria.

Meanwhile, in what is being interpreted in Israel as a declaration of ownership, the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) has built a road and set up a military position in the Shaba Farms/ Mount Dov area for the first time since Israel’s withdrawal from that part of Lebanon in 2000.

Israeli defense officials confirmed the move, which was first reported in the Lebanese media, but would not comment on its significance.

According to the reports, the LAF paved a road into the Bastara Farm, which is on the Lebanese side of the Blue Line international border and lies just 300 meters away from the land that Israel conquered in 1967.

Mount Dov – 20 square kilometers of mountains on the northeast border – was conquered by Israel from Syria during the Six Day War. Israel says the land belongs to Syria, while Hizbullah claims it belongs to Lebanon.

Syria and Lebanon have not resolved the issue between them.

On Friday, The Jerusalem Post reported that Israel was categorically opposed to a European proposal to transfer the land to the United Nations until ownership issue was clarified. “The Shaba Farms are of vital strategic importance for Israel and therefore have security significance. Handing the land over to the UN means that Hizbullah will be there,” a top defense official had said.

Forty years ago I could not make up my mind whether or not the temple would be rebuilt BEFORE the Second Advent but, quite frankly, I was more inclined to believe it would be rebuilt. It was not until I studied Greek and Hebrew in the Seminary that I came to believe it would NOT be rebuilt until AFTER the Second Advent of Christ. My reasons for this are carefully articulated in our July 2, 2008 Archive Blog, titled: “Third Temple is the Millennial Temple,” which you may read by the process of “clicking” back to it at the bottom of the blog pages.

The major reason I am concerned about this is that a large majority of prophetic buffs are positive the temple will be rebuilt prior to the return of Jesus. Many think we have a long time to wait for Christ’s coming because the temple building seems to be a distant event. I hope you will consider what I have been teaching for more than thirty years on this as at le

The current situation in the Middle East, the unstable world economy, the increase in earthquake and volcanic related phenomena, the rapidly declining morality on a worldwide basis, the ever increasing attack on the Bible and its validity, the attempt to remove anything which could be associated with God from public places, and a falling away from the truths once delivered to the first New Testament churches, has convinced me Haggai’s prophecy in Haggai 2:6-9 will soon be fulfilled. Soon the BRANCH, the root, the rod out of David, the man who is the Son

of God, Jesus Christ will return to build the temple of Ezekiel 40 to 48.

HAGGAI 2:6 – For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

Isaiah 29:6 – Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

He will sit on the throne of David as both eternal Ruler and eternal High Priest, thereby combining the two offices that existed in the Old Testament structure of Israel, and he will rule over all the earth.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Christ is the sign that will be set among the nations of the earth at his Second Advent, and they will fill the millennial temple with glory by their obedience and the return of all Israelis to their homeland by whatever is left for transportation after the destruction of the great tribulation period.

[9A] “The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts.”

The instructions for the building of this great millennial temple are contained in Ezekiel 40 to 43, and Messiah’s entrance, after its completion, is predicted in Ezekiel 43.

Ezekiel 43:1-7 – Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east: [2] And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. [3] And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.

[4] And the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. [5] So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. [6] And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me.

[7] And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.

[9B] “And in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of Hosts.”

It will amount to a peace of a thousand years to Israel and all the Gentile nations. Israel will be a blessing to all the Gentile nations.

Isaiah 66:12-14 – For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. [13] As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

[14] And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the Lord shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

It would be wise for all believers to worship him today in one of his local churches before his second coming!

Speedily rebuild, in our days

Once, not many years ago, the people of the Temple Institute planned to import frozen fetuses of a red heifer from a Scandinavian country and implant them in the uterus of an Israeli cow. The aim was to create the rare animal whose burnt ashes served in Temple times to purify those who had become ritually unclean due to contact with the dead and enabled people to enter the Temple compound in a state of purity.

Late last week, on the eve of the Shabbat in week the Torah portion Hukkat is read, in which the red heifer is mentioned, it became clear that the people associated with the Temple Institute, who for 25 years have been researching the Temple and its rituals, creating vessels for future use in the Temple and maintaining contact with scientists and research institutes worldwide, believe they have cracked the genetic code that will make it possible to clone a red heifer.

The “recreation” of the red heifer is likely to have a far-reaching effect on the view of rabbis who at present forbid the entry of Jews to the Temple Mount, partly because of the latter’s status as “tamei met.” This status describes any Jew who has ever come into contact with a human corpse or with people or objects that have touched a corpse. In terms of halakha (Jewish religious law), we are all in effect tamei met.

Will the people of the Temple Institute therefore begin to clone the red heifer now?

The answer is no. Not because they don’t want to do so, but because according to halakha the red heifer can only be handled by priests who themselves are in a state of purity.

Because there are no ashes of a red heifer with which to purify priests, the only solution would be to find priestly families who are willing to give up their children immediately after their birth for a special mission: to have them raised and prepared in conditions of isolation and purity for at least 13 years, so that they can handle the next red heifer, if and when it returns.

The community of Mitzpeh Yeriho has expressed a willingness to allocate land for a compound for this purpose, but it should come as no surprise that few families have volunteered to hand over their children and have them raised in relative isolation for such a long time.

Until the dream of the red heifer can be realized and the compound built, the Temple Institute is making do with more modest initiatives. A few days ago a workshop for priestly garments, under the aegis of the Temple Institute, was dedicated on Ma’amadot Yisrael Street in Jerusalem’s Old City.

According to the institute?s director, Yehuda Glick, by the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday, in October, 120 sets of priestly garments will have been completed. The team of tailors, working under designer Aviad Jerufi, whose specializes in ancient clothing, will personally measure and fit, for each of the 120 lucky men, a set of priestly garments that includes a tunic, turban, belt and pants.

The project is being funded by a wealthy Jew from Kiev, the Ukraine.

The fabrics are ready. They were woven in accordance with the halakhic requirement for “bigdei shesh” from a six-ply linen thread. The linen was spun in India and then sent to a plant in Gedera for threading onto spindles for the looms.

The material was woven in a textile workshop in Tel Aviv and sent for finishing washing and softening; in a plant in Rishon Letzion. At the dedication ceremony for the Jerusalem tailoring workshop Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, who is a kohen (of priestly descent), the rabbi of the community of Efrat and the head of the Or Torah Institutes, volunteered to try on one of the sets of garments.

Each year about 100,000 people visit the Temple Institute, located in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem?s Old City. Half are Christians, the rest are ma inly Israeli students and soldiers

in organized groups. They view the various displays, watch presentations and receive explanations from docents. The annual budget of the institute is NIS 10 million.

Most comes from donations, and a small percentage is paid by the state: NIS 200,000 from the Ministry of Education and NIS 100,000 from the Ministry of Culture.

For several years now a golden menorah (candelabrum) weighing about half a ton has been standing in the heart of the Cardo, in the Jewish Quarter.

It contains about 45 kilograms of 24-karat gold, and its value is estimated at about $3 million. The menorah is a copy of the gold menorah in the Temple. It was the product of many years of work by Temple Institute researchers, based on ancient rabbinic sources, Maimonides, the description by contemporary historian Josephus Flavius and on drawings that survive from Temple times.

The institute, which has recreated many other Temple vessels, was founded by Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, and among members of the Temple Mount movements his philosophy is perhaps the clearest: There is no mitzvah in the Torah to mourn the Temple, wrote Ariel recently in a letter to the public.

“We have to go out to a quarry, bring stones and build.”

The Temple will not descend readymade from heaven, but will be built by human beings. “The people of the Second Temple,” says Rabbi Ariel, “did not develop a ritual of weeping over the Temple.

Instead of weeping on the 9th of Av (the day commemorating the destruction of the Temple) they worked hard.

They carried stones to build the altar and renewed the rituals…. The 9th of Av is approaching…. We will sit on the ground…. We will hear the reading of the book of Lamentations from a brokenhearted old man…. Is the cantor serious about his lamentation…. During all the days of the year he looks quite happy, and if the destruction of the Temple really bothers him, why doesn’t he do something concrete to build it.”

Arab governments are deeply worried about the prospect of war between Iran and Israel and/or the U.S. since several of them would be directly in the firing line if hostilities erupted.

Even without the threat of war, Iran’s Arab neighbors have long lived in fear of another Chernobyl: the Bushehr nuclear reactor, two miles from the Gulf coast, is closer to six Arab capitals (Kuwait, Riyadh, Manama, Doha, Abu Dhabi and Muscat) than it is to Tehran.

None believe the claim that it is interested only in civilian nuclear power and has no military ambitions. It is seen as working to establish its hegemony across the Middle East, setting the agenda through allies or “non-state” proxies such as Hizbullah and Hamas.

“Perhaps the objective of Iran’s frequent threats is to stir up fear among the Gulf states over the repercussions of any U.S. strike against it so that they in turn may pressure Washington into preventing any military action,” observed Abdul Rahman Al-Rashed in the Saudi-owned Asharq Alawsat.

“But this is having an opposite effect from the desired one.”
