At some point in time between 2010 and 2015 it is my guesstimate that Daniel 11:41 will begin with an attack by the forces of Islam, which will drive Israel into the Negev Wilderness, where she will remain for three and one half prophetic years.

At the end of the three and one half years Israel will charge north out of the Negev at the return of her Messiah and Daniel 12:1 will be fulfilled. Daniel 11:41 to 12:1 – He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape

Iranian official: Countdown to Israel’s destruction has begun

Iranian Parliament Speaker Gholam Hadad has warned that the “countdown to Israel’s destruction has begun,” in an interview published Thursday in an Iranian newspaper.

Hadad’s comment was one of a number of scathing remarks made by Iranian officials regarding Israel this week, a trend apparently escalated by the assassination of Hezbollah’

s second-in-command Imad Mugniyah earlier this month.

Also Thursday, an adviser to Iran’s most powerful figure said Mughniyah’s assassination would accelerate Israel’s demise at the hands of outraged followers of the Shi’ ite Lebanese group.

Yahya Rahim Safavi, a former commander-in-chief of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards, Mughniyah’s killing in a car bomb in the Syrian capital Damascus had angered thousands of young members of Iran-backed Hezbollah.

“With such anger, the definite death of Israel will arrive sooner,” Rahim Safavi told the official IRNA news agency.

Rahim Safavi was appointed as a military adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has final say in all state matters.

Western analysts say the Revolutionary Guards, an ideological wing of Iran’s armed forces, has given military support to Hezbollah.

Tehran denies this, saying it only provides moral backing to the Lebanese group.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Wednesday called Israel a “filthy germ” and “savage beast” established by Western states in their bid to dominate Middle East nations.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon promised Wednesday to respond “firmly” to Ahmadinejad’s verbal attacks on Israel, which he called “intolerable.”

Ban made the promise in a meeting with Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Dan Gillerman, who requested the meeting with the UN chief.

Ahmadinejad’s comments came just days after a top commander in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard called Israel a “cancerous germ” which would be wiped out by Hezbollah.

Guards commander-in-chief Mohammad Ali Jafari was quoted by the Fars News Agency on Monday as saying: “In the near future, we will witness the destruction of the cancerous germ of Israel by the powerful and competent hands of the Hezbollah combatants.”

Jafari made the remark in a letter to Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, offering condolences after the killing of terrorist mastermind Imad Mughniyah, which Iran has blamed on Israel.

The Foreign Ministry sent a letter of protest to the United Nations over Jafari’s remarks, Army Radio reported earlier this week.

Last month, Ahmadinejad called on the West to acknowledge Israel’s “imminent collapse” and to “stop supporting the Zionists, as [their] regime reached its final stage.”

“Accept that the life of Zionists will sooner or later come to an end,” the Iranian president said in a televised speech.

He added, “What we have right now is the last chapter [of Israeli atrocities] which the Palestinians and regional nations will confront and eventually turn in Palestine’s favor.”

Nasrallah declares Israel “will definitely cease to exist” in next war

The Hizballah leader, in his most vituperative speech against Israel ever, said Friday, Feb. 22: “Arab opposition, including Syria, and popular opposition will eliminate Israel; its armed forces will be defeated and Israel will be left with no army. We will fight as we have never fought before, confronting the Israeli army with of a type of combat it has never before experienced.”

Hassan Nasrallah pledged “Mughniyeh’s blood would not go unpunished, declaring,” He was killed in a pre-emptive Israeli strike, an open war.”

DEBKAfile: On Feb. 20, Israeli chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazi indicated Hizballah planned to seize on an Israeli ground offensive against Gazan missiles to launch a revenge attack in the north and force Israel to fight on two fronts. He told graduating IDF officers: “It is up to us to achieve a quick victory in every confrontation.”

Nasrallah went on to say: “Israelis want to chop off the heads of the resistance leaders. We’ll take the decision when to defend ourselves and where… We won’t surrender because we have tens of thousands of Imad Mughniyeh.”

Turning to his quarrel with Lebanon’s government factions, Nasrallah accused “the majority of waiting for an Israeli war to finish Hizballah off.”

Israel helps find new solar system

A “twin” of our solar system has been discovered by an international team

of scientists that includes astronomers from Tel Aviv University.

Its report on the revelation appeared in Thursday’s issue of the prestigious Science journal.

The newly discovered planets and the sun around which they revolve are very different from the 10 other solar systems discovered during the past decade.

However, the new solar system is significantly similar to our solar system, especially in regard to the planets‚ relative weights and distances between them.

Most of the 10 other systems were discovered by measuring the “wobbly paths” of their suns, said Dr.

Shai Caspi of TAU. These variations are caused by the the gravitational pull of the planets. This is the technique used especially for discovering heavy planets like Jupiter, but in pathways close to their sun.

But the new planets were discovered a different way – by the ability of mass to serve as a type of “lens” that magnifies far-off light sources, which is a phenomenon predicted by Albert Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity.

This technique makes it possible to discover small planets, if they exist, that are located at large distances from the mother star.

By following the light from the solar system around the clock over a period of two weeks using a network of powerful telescopes, researchers can reach their conclusions about the existence of a star orbited by a Jupiter or Saturn-like planet.

While the newly discovered solar system resembles ours, it is much smaller.

The mother star has half the mass of ours, and the Jupiter and Saturn-like planets have half the masses of ours, while the planets’ distance from their sun is half that of our planets’ from our sun.

The Israeli data, provided by TAU’s Wise Observatory at Mitzpe Ramon, were vital to the discovery. “Without our observations, which were carried out when it was daylight where the other observatories are located, it would have been impossible to conclude that the Saturn-like planet existed,” said Prof. Dan Maoz, ano ther member of

the Israeli team.

“Only five planets have been discovered so far by the ‘lens’ technique. What we have found hints to the existence of similar solar systems, and there may be some planets similar to Earth. If there are other Earths, they could be discovered soon.”

My guesstimate of a major war break ing out

I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. [4] BUT YE, BRETHREN, ARE NOT IN DARKNESS, THAT THAT DAY SHOULD OVERTAKE YOU AS A THIEF.

After all, are not the children of God supposed to be spiritually awake and soberly watching when he comes?

I Thessalonians 5:4-6 – But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

[5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. [6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

I know the children of the light can’t tell the exact hour or day of his coming,

but are we not supposed to have a general awareness when it is very near as it draws close.

Mark 13:32 – But of THAT DAY and THAT HOUR knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Is not verse 35 talking about THAT DAY of his coming, and are not the times in verse 35 referring to four particular HOURS of THAT DAY of his coming? Is not the Lord using the times of the four HOUR shift changes of the guards on a night WATCH – Those being EVENING, MIDNIGHT, COCKCROWING, AND THE MORNING? Were these changes not made at a specific HOUR, depending on the season of the year?

Mark 13:35 – Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

And isn’t Jesus simply telling us to be spiritually awake, ready, and st

anding watch, not surprised when he comes in verses 36 and 37?

Mark 13:36,37 – Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. [37] And what I say unto you I say

unto all, Watch.

And did Jesus not just tell us in a previous verse what he meant by the word WATCH? To WATCH is to be spiritually awake, ready, and standing watch – So do not verses 33 and 34 tell us what we are to be found doing

to be in that state when he comes? Every man is to be found doing the Son of Man’s work when he comes.

Mark 13:33-34 – Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. [34] For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

Revelation 22:12 – And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

The word “quickly” is an adverbial modifier used by the Apostle John as a descriptive adjective. It refers to the “manner” of his coming, as opposed to the “time” of his coming.

The closing paragraph in the article from the Jerusalem Post, which follows, says it all!

“The State of Israel, in its 60th year, is a strong nation, with military might, a known deterrent force for all those who need to know, and a nation of the most impressive accomplishments,” the prime minister said. “Secure in our strength and force, we now march on the path to peace and security.”

We are now marching down the path that eventually ends at the great battle of Armageddon.

The “peace and security” will not come in until the Messiah ends the battle victoriously at Armageddon by His Second Advent.

Zechariah 14:8,9 – And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. [9] And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Isaiah 2:1-4 – The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

[2] And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations sh

Ashkenazi warns of war on the horizon

azi warned the army on Wednesday to be ready for a new conflagration in the region.

“There are dangers to our survival on the horizon and great challenges to Israeli security.

The IDF needs to ensure a rapid victory in any conflict and I cannot guarantee that we won’t need to act in the near future,” Ashkenazi said at a graduation ceremony for a ground forces officers training course at the Officer Training School near Mitzpe Ramon.

The army chief said the IDF’s job was and remained to serve as “a safety net” for the continued existence and success of the State of Israel.

Also attending the ceremony was Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who told the soldiers that the lessons of the Second Lebanon War had been internalized, and that Israel was now better prepared for any conflict.

“The lessons of the war are being implemented at all levels of command in the IDF: in the branches, corps, commands and the departments of the General Staff,” Olmert said. “Unprecedented resources today allow the IDF to train more, prepare better for a time of trouble, and train commanders and fighters at all levels in the best possible manner and for all scenarios.”

Over the past year and a half, the government underwent a complex and profound process of improvement with regard to decision making and preparedness for a conflict, at a national and political level, he said.

“Almost every framework in the IDF asked itself over the past 18 months what could be learned from the Lebanese campaign,” the prime minister said. The changes could be felt throughout the ranks, he said, includ

ing in the training of commissioned officers.

Olmert told the graduates the one thing that wasn’t lacking among Israeli soldiers during the Second Lebanon War was courage.

“We all saw the dedication, determination for the mission, courage and extraordinary sacrifice as expressed by the difficult battles in Lebanon,” he said.

He said if war were to break out again, Israel would once again be able to rely on the courage of its men in uniform.

Exodus 20:3-5 – Thou shalt have no other gods before me. [4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: [5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

In the days of the Exodus the Israelites were asked to have enough faith in their God to fix their gaze upward on a brass serpent on a pole, to receive healing from a snakebite by a fiery serpent, believing God would do so as He had promised. They were drawn to the serpent by belief in God’s word he would do what he said and, as always, God saved the lives of all those who did as he directed.

Isaiah 53:5 – But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

I Peter 2:24 – Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

The same situation has a parallel today. All humans inherited the sting of a sin nature Adam and Eve received when they yielded to the serpent in the Garden of Eden. All those who come to the cross of Christ in the belief God will save their lives eternally, if they do as he directed, will be saved.

Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 10:13 – For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

John 3:14,15 –And as Moses lifted up THE SERPENT in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 12:32 – And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

John 6:62,63 – What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before

Today, the eyes of the world are looking up into the skies wondering if, and when, Major General Nehushtan will be issuing the final order for the planes of the IAF to be seen over the skies of Iran, destroying their many nuclear facilities

It is not a far distant prophetic event when the eyes of the world will be looking up in the skies seeing Messiah’s Second Advent.

Revelation 1:7 – Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Barak approves Nehushtan for IAF

Maj.-Gen. Ido Nehushtan will be the next commander of the Israel Air Force, Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi announced on Friday.

The appointment was approved by Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Nehustan, who currently heads the IDF’s Planning Division, is scheduled to replace IAF chief Maj.-Gen. Elazar Shkedy in the coming weeks.

A pilot with thousands of hours on his flight log, Nehushtan holds degrees from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Northwestern University and Harvard University’ s Advanced Management Program.

IDF officers said Nehushtan would face a number of challenges, most importantly preparing the IAF for the possibility that it may be tasked with attacking Iranian nuclear sites. He will also work to complete a number of acquisitions, including IAF plans to purchase a squadron of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, as well as Hercules transport aircraft.

Nehushtan, 51, was chosen over deputy IAF commander Brig.-Gen. Amir Eshel and head of the IAF’s Air Division Brig.-Gen. Yohanan Locker. Nehushtan is highly regarded in the IDF and served as the deputy commander of the air force under then-chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. (res.) Dan Halutz.

In his current position, Nehushtan has gained praise from throughout the defense establishment, particularly for his role in formulating the IDF’s new multi-year plan, recently approved by the cabinet. During the Second Lebanon War, he gave daily briefings to foreign journalists and is known for his British-accented English.

Shkedy’s resignation will signal a wave of appointments in the General Staff, including a replacement of Nehushtan at the IDF Planning Division. Other appointments expected to be announced in the near future are new chiefs of Military Intelligence and the IDF Human Resources Department, whose current head, Maj.-Gen. Elazar Stern, is expected to step down in the summer.

I wonder what will happen to the savage animal when the Lord “raises up out of his holy habitation,” some three and one half years after the fall of Jerusalem, and shakes his hand over the nations that have spoiled the apple of his eye

Please allow me to remind you that not only are the nations about to be judged, but also all the saved will be judged in heaven for rewards or the lack of them, following of the blowing the last trump by the seventh angel, at which time the I Corinthians rapture mystery will be finished.

I Corinthians 15:51,52 – Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

Ahmadinejad’s unbridled attack on Israel causes foreboding. Ashkenazi sees “tough ordeal” possible soon

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that the increasingly belligerent statements issuing from top Iranian leaders since the death of Imad Mughniyeh in Damascus earlier this month are seen as betokening serious intent. Israel’ s chief of

staff Lt. Gen. Gaby Ashkenazi told graduating officers Wednesday, Feb.

20, that he could not rule out a possible “tough ordeal” in the near future. Israel must aim for quick victory.

President Ahmadinejad said earlier: “World powers have created a black and dirty microbe named the Zionist regime and unleashed it like a savage animal on the nations of the region.” He was addressing a rally in the southern city of Bandar Abbas, site of the Revolutionary Guards’ command center and main bases. His speech was broadcast in full by state television.

Also Wednesday, an exiled Iranian opposition leader Mohammad Mohaddessin claimed Tehran had accelerated its nuclear weapons program, including the production of nuclear warheads.

DEBKAfile: Sunday, Gen. Hassan Firouz-Abadi, commander-in-chief of all Iran’s armed forces, said at a ceremony in memory of Imad Mughniyeh: “Many millions across the world will soon receive the joyous news of the Zionist entity’s destruction.”’ He did not explain how Iran intended to perform this objective, but alluded indirectly to nuclear or radioactive measures.

Mohaddessin, of the Paris-based National Council of Resistance of Iran, claimed that, for the first time, Tehran had established a command and control center to work on a nuclear bomb and that southeast of the capital it was also setting up a center to produce warheads.

He called the US NIE report “not accurate” and reported that Iran had closed down one center only to open another later with the same purpose.
