Israel is now facing an Islamic force loaded with high tech weaponry, which was made in Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran. The money to buy it came from Iran, who, along with Syria has been its major transporter,

We have watched Iran utilize the oil revenues to equip Hizbullah and Hamas with enough high tech anti-tank and anti-aircraft shoulder-held rocket launchers to wreck havoc on Israel during the coming war which will eventually end the Age of the Gentiles. The only real question is: WHEN will it begin? My guesstimate is that it is most likely to begin at some point in time between 2008 and the end of 2012.

I do not expect a Middle East war until American troops are pulled out of Iraq and Iran has a deterrent arsenal of nuclear warheads mounted on missiles ready to launch if necessary. I have no doubt whatsoever war is definitely coming, but I believe WHEN hinges those two factors, which makes me lean toward the period after 2009 as the most likely. However, if America or Israel knocks out Iran’s nuclear facilities, all bets are off as to WHEN it begins, because it could start immediately.

The air superiority of Israel over all the Islamic nations of the world is unquestionable.

It would be similar to the superiority of the German Air forces over the Polish Air Force when they invaded Poland in 1939. Both Iran and Syria have left the modernizing of

their air forces as the last priority in their preparation for a major Middle East war. I expect more modernizing of Iranian and Syrian Air Forces, similar to the one described in the article which follows our heading.

The King of the South (Israel) and the King of the North (Syria)

Daniel 11:40,41 – And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. [41] He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape

out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief

of the children of Ammon.

The age of so-called civilized warfare really began in the era of the Napoleonic Wars of 1803 to 1815. And, with the passage of time, it has become increasingly important for two countries involved in a conflict to convince the rest of the world the other is the culprit who started the conflict. Every time Hitler, in his early conquests, marched his troops into countries to take them over in bloodless battles, he always had an excuse to justify his attacks. Finally, when he came to his planned conquest of the Poles, he could not really find what even remotely seemed like a justifiable reason.

So he manufactured one. He had his own SS troops dress up in Polish uniforms and attack a German border outpost. Then the SS put dead Polish bodies in the immediate vicinity of the outpost and had photographers and reporters in to verify their story. Using this farce as justification for his actions, he attacked Poland in September of 1939, and World War II began.

Some interesting developments, involving Iran, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and the terrorist groups, particularly Hizbollah, have been occurring along the northern border of Israel with Lebanon.

I do not believe what I am now observing in that area will lead to an immediate war, but I suspect it may well do so in the not too distant future. And, if I am correct in my assumptions, it could give Syria justification for attacking Israel in the eyes of most of the international world.

President Bush has demanded that Syria cut it’s backing for the Hizbollah terrorists that operate along the southern border of Lebanon, and that it expel the other Palestinian terrorist groups it currently has operating out of Syria. Damascus now hosts 10 Palestinian terrorist groups, which include the extremist groups Hamas and the Islamic Jihad. In response to the demands of President Bush, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said: “Syria supports

the Lebanese national resistance, including Hizbollah, in resisting Israeli occupation and liberating land.” Concerning the demand that the other terrorist groups in Syria be removed, he said: “Their work is limited to political and media activities, and their offices in Damascus provide political representation to the 400,000 Palestinians who look to attain their rights and return to their land.” Israel has repeatedly warned Syria that if Hizbollah continued its border attacks on Israeli civilians and troops on its northern border, they would start hitting targets in Syria in retaliation. Bashar has responded by saying that Syria would defend itself against any Israeli action. He said: “If the Israeli government involves itself in waging aggression on the territory of Syria, then Syria will defend itself.”

Israel’s policy against this weeks rocket attacks across its northern border between Hizbullah and Syria has shown remarkable restraint, probably because of not wanting to open a second front of conflict to the one they now have going in the Gaza Strip. Bashar al-Assad has joined with Iran to provide heavier rockets for the Hizbollah arsenal of terror. The Israeli officials have watched Hizbollah deploy thousands of new missiles and rockets that are aimed at Israeli civilian population centers.

Once Israel has completed its long buffer zone fence around the West Bank, and beefed up the one it already has around the Gaza Strip, it will become confident it has finally achieved the impossible, it will say it has a type of “peace and safety,” perhaps in the from of a Hudna (false truce) with Hamas. And all the while it was tied up internally, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon will have been slowly slipping troops along the northern border for a lightning Jihad from the north. Israel’s constant preoccupation with its internal safety is going to cause them to slack off in their gaze on what is going on externally.

During the time that Alexander’s great empire had been divided into four sections, the Syrian section (Seleucid) held Israel some of the time, and the Egyptian section (Ptolemy) held it when they took it from the Syrians. Israel was, at times, a part of the Egyptian section, at times, a part of the Syrian

section, and, at times, a part of both. Daniel lists a very long series of battles between the king of the north (Syria) and the king of the South (Egypt). Most of Daniel’s prophecies about these two kingdoms were fulfilled by their many kings from Daniel 11:4 through 35, but there remains one war yet to be fulfilled, and I believe it is the aforementioned Jihad that begins in Daniel 11:40. Since Israel was once part of the section occupied by Ptolemy, I am persuaded that Israel is the king of the south and Syria is the king of the north in Daniel 11:40-45.

Israel has lulled itself into a false sense of peace and safety by its great military might. Even after last year’s war, it still has great confidence in its ability to take care of any Islamic intrusion. It may well be that Syria will get Hizbollah to kick up a storm of activity along the northern border by launching a massive missile and rocket attack across the border into the populations of northern Israel. Syria will do this knowing that Israel will cross the border into Lebanon and hit Syrian targets from the air. But this time Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran will be waiting for it, and six other Islamic nations will be poised to supply logistical support. The Islamic nations can cry out while they head south: “We were attacked first – we are justified in this response to the Israeli invasion of our sovereign territory.” This will cause a hesitation by the western world at first and, by the time it wakes up, Jerusalem will have fallen, and Israel will be fleeing into the Negev.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

The ancient boil of conflict between the descendants of Jacob, Ishmael, and the six sons of Keturah, with all its internal blend of impurities, is finally coming to a head in the Middle East.

The current drastic rise in the conflict between Hamas and Fatah will, in the end, be the catalyst that brings a temporary false peace between them and Israel. What is apparently a genuine truce will be shattered suddenly by a rapid blitzkrieg attack from the north by Syria.

In league with Syria will be Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iraq, and Iran. Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran will move rapidly southward through the “glorious land” of Israel like a fast moving thunderstorm, bypassing the land where the people of Moab, Ammon, and Edom were settled when Daniel wrote his prophecies in about 600 B.C. The descendants of Edom (Jacob’s brother), and Ammon and Moab (the sons of Lot), as found on every published map for this time period, were settled immediately to the southeast, east, and northeast of the Dead Sea, precisely in the country we know as Jordan today.

Hence, we can know that t he antichrist will bypass Jordan as

he moves south through Israel. Why would he bypass Jordan? She has no strategic, political, or economic advantage to offer him, but the Suez Canal and Egypt do, so he will head southwest toward that area after having driven the woman Israel into the Negev Wilderness south of Beersheva.

Daniel 11:42 – He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

Report: Russia delivering jets to Syria

Russia has started delivery of top-of-the-line fighter jets to Syria under a new deal estimated to be worth US$1 billion, a newspaper s aid

Tuesday – but the report was quickly denied by the state arms trader.

The business daily Kommersant said that Russia had begun delivering five MiG-31E jets under a deal apparently negotiated during Syrian President Bashar Assad’s trip to Moscow last autumn.

Commenting on the report, Russia’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Mikhail Kamynin said in a statement that “all of Russia’s deals in the sphere of military-technical cooperation comply with international law and Russia’s obligations under various treaties and United Nations resolutions.” He would not elaborate.

But Sergei Chemezov, head of state arms-trading monopoly Rosoboronexport, flatly denied the Kommersant report.

“Russia has no plans to deliver fighter jets to Syria and Iran,” Chemezov said at a Paris air show, according to the Interfax news agency.

Russia has shrugged off US and Israeli criticism of its previous weapons deals with Syria and Iran, saying the deals complied with international law.

The contract with Syria will be the first export deal for the MiG-31E, a heavy twin-engined interceptor fighter capable of flying at nearly three times the speed of sound and simultaneously shooting several targets at ranges of up to 180 kilometers away.

The aircraft was designed in the 1980s for tackling low-flying cruise missiles and other difficult targets and remains the mainstay of Russia’s air defenses. “In the Soviet Union, the MiG-31 was considered a key component of defenses against a possible US attack,” Kommersant said.

The newspaper said that Russia had also agreed to provide Syria with an unspecified number of MiG-29M fighters – a version that features a significantly improved range, has an improved radar and carries a broader array of weapons compared to basic MiG-29 model.

The delivery of new fighters to Syria which has a fleet of older MiG jets will dramatically improve its air force capability.

Moscow was the main weapons supplier to Syria during the Soviet era, and the two nations have moved recently to reinvigorate their economic, military and political ties. In 2005, Moscow agreed to write off nearly three-quarters of Syria’s US$13.4 billion debt in a bid to boost ties and win broader clout in the region.

Iran could finance the new fighter jets deal under a defense cooperation treaty with Syria, Kommersant said.

Israel claimed that Hizbullah fighters used Russian missiles during the 34-day Second Lebanon War last year. It said that Russian arms were sold to Syria and Iran, which sent them on to their Hizbullah proxies.

Russian officials dismissed the accusations.

only continue living safely in the Gaza Strip if they accept Islamic law, including a ban on alcohol and on women roaming publicly without proper head coverings, an Islamist militant leader in Gaza told WND in an exclusive interview.

The militant leader said Christians in Gaza who engage in “missionary activity” will be “dealt with harshly.”

The threats come two days after a church and Christian school in Gaza was attacked following the seizure of power in the territory by the Hamas terror group.

“I expect our Christian neighbors to understand the new Hamas rule means real changes. They must be ready for Islamic rule if they want to live in peace in Gaza,” said Sheik Abu Saqer, leader of Jihadia Salafiya, an Islamic outreach movement that recently announced the opening of a “military wing” to enforce Muslim law in Gaza.

Jihadia Salafiya is suspected of attacking a United Nations school in Gaza last month, after the school allowed boys and girls to participate in the same sporting event. One person was killed in that attack.

“The situation has now changed 180 degrees in Gaza,” said Abu Saqer, speaking from Gaza yesterday.

“Jihadia Salafiya and other Islamic movements will ensure Christian schools and institutions show publicly what they are teaching to be sure they are not carrying out missionary activity. No more alcohol on the streets. All women, including non-Muslims, need to understand they must be covered at all times while in public,” Abu Asqer told WND.

“Also the activities of Internet cafes, pool halls and bars must be stopped,” he said. “If it goes on, we’ll attack these things very harshly.”

‘Fatah behind church attack’

Abu Saqer accused the leadership of the Gaza Christian community of “proselytizing and trying to convert Muslims with funding from American evangelicals.”

“This missionary activity is endangering the entire Christian community in Gaza,” he said.

Abu Saqer claimed there was “no need” for the thousands of Christians in Gaza to maintain a large number of institutions in the territory.

About 2,000 Christians live in the Gaza Strip, which has a population of over 1 million.

Abu Saqer said Hamas “must work to impose an Islamic rule or it will lose the authority it has and the will of the people.”

His comments come after gunmen on Sunday attacked Gaza’s Latin Church and adjacent Rosary Sisters School, reportedly destroying crosses, bibles, pictures of Jesus and furniture and equipment. The attackers also stole a number of computers.

The attack was the first targeting of Christian institutions since Hamas last week staged a coup against the rival Fatah party of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, seizing all Fatah positions and security compounds, essentially taking complete control of the Gaza Strip.

Hamas officials in Gaza claimed to WND Fatah was behind Sunday’s church attack in an attempt to discredit Hamas

to the international community.

Abu Saqer claimed he had “good information” that the attack really was a robbery aimed at the church’s school computers, even though bibles and Christian holy objects were destroyed.

Gaza’s Christians Fear for Their Lives: Latin Church Torched

Christians living in Gaza City on Monday appealed to the international community to protect them against increased attacks by Muslim extremists.

Many Christians said they were prepared to leave Gaza as soon as the border crossings are reopened.

The appeal came follow ing a series of attacks on a Christian school and church

in Gaza City over the past few days.

Father Manuel Musalam, leader of the small Latin community in Gaza, said masked gunmen torched and looted the Rosary Sisters School and the Latin Church.

“The masked gunmen used rocket-propelled grenades to storm the main entrances of the school and church,” he said. “Then they destroyed almost everything inside, including the Cross, the Holy Book, computers and other equipment.”

Musalam expressed outrage over the burning of copies of the Bible, noting that the gunmen destroyed all the Crosses inside the church and school. “Those who did these awful things have no respect for Christian-Muslim relations,” he said.

Living in a Fantasy World waiting for a Real One!

Of all the writers I read after, I have no greater admiration than what I have acquired for Caroline Glick. Her insight into the reality of Middle East events is staggering. I hold her in highest esteem for her ability to cut to the reality of a situation by analytical techniques based on study and personal observation. She is not afraid to call a spade a spade, and her abuse of political correctness is quite refreshing. Her complaints of Israel’s actions and reactions paint a vivid, accurate portrait of the state of affairs, which just happens to match what the prophets of Israel said would be the scenario in the last days before the arrival of the Messiah of Israel. Today’s scenario does indeed compare quite well to Israel’s moral, political, and spiritual condition before she was carried away into Babylonian captivity. Verse 31 of Jeremiah 5 is an overlay of the character of the political rulers in power today.

Jeremiah 5:25-31 – Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.

[26] For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. [27] As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. [28] They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. [29] Shall I not visit for these things

? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? [30] A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; [31] The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

Forgive me if I seem to be picking on Israel, because that is the general condition of America and the rest of the Gentile nations of the earth.

I am bound by my devotion to the belief that biblical prophecy comes from the mind of God through the writers. Caroline Glick’s articles for years have been crying out for Israel to wake up and stand up. But in most cases Israel has not heeded her warnings against the appeasement path the government has followed, nor have they taken her advice not to let other governments dictate Israel’s policies. If all the descendants of Jacob possessed the mindset of Caroline Glick, Israel would not be in a dark tunnel of confusion marked by uncertainty.

I said all that to say this, it is apparent to me Israel will continue to run down a trail of appeasement and insanity. How do I know Israel will continue down that path? Because I am bound by the following Bible prophecy in Zechariah and do believe it has to be true!

Zechariah’s ministry took place during the reign of Darius the Great (Zechariah 1:1), and was contemporary with Haggai in a post-exilic world after the fall of Jerusalem in 586/7 BC. Ezekiel and Jeremiah wrote prior to the fall of Jerusalem, while continuing to prophesy in the earlier exile period. Zechariah is specific about dating his writing (520-518 BC).

Zechariah 14:1-5 – Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. [2] For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people

shall not be cut off from the city. [3] Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. [4] And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. [5] And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

But it does have a happy ending!

Which incidentally, I believe is not a fantasy world, but the only real one that will last forever.

Zechariah 14:8,9 – And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. [9] And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Zechariah 14:11 – And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.

Zechariah 14:16 – And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Isaiah 2:1-5 – The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. [2] And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. [3] And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. [4] And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. Our World: Grounded in fantasy

Iran and its client state Syria have a strategic vision for the Middle East. They wish to take over Lebanon.

They wish to destroy Israel. They wish to defeat the US in Iraq. They wish to drive the US and NATO from Afghanistan. They wish to dominate the region by driving the rest of the Arab world to its jihad-supporting knees. Then they wish to apply their vision to the rest of the world.

Today, Syria and Iran are ardently advancing their strategic vision for the world through a deliberate strategy of victory by a thousand cuts. Last week’s Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip; Sunday’s reopening of the Lebanese front against Israel with the Syrian-ordered rocket attacks on Kiryat Shemona; the now five-week old Syrian ordered low-intensity warfare against Lebanon’s pro-Western Siniora government; last week’s attack on the al-Askariya mosque in Samarra; the recent intensification of terrorism in Afghanistan and Iran’s move to further destabilize the country by violently deporting 100,000 Afghan refugees back to the war-torn country – all of these are moves to advance this clear Iranian-Syrian strategy.

And all these moves have taken place against the backdrop of Syria’s refashioning of its military in the image of Hizbullah on steroids and Iran’s relentless, unopposed progress in its nuclear weapons program.

For their part, both the US and Israel also have a strategic vision. Unfortunately, it is grounded in fantasy.

WASHINGTON and Jerusalem wish to solve all the problems of the region and the world by establishing a Palestinian state in Gaza, Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. While Israel now faces Iranian proxies on two fronts, in their meeting at the White House today US President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will gush about their support for Palestinian statehood. Creepily echoing LSD king Timothy Leary, they will tune out this reality as they drone on about the opportunities that Gaza’s transformation into a base for global jihad afford to the notion that promoting the Fatah terrorist organization’s control over Judea and Samaria can make the world a better, safer, happier place.

Today Bush and Olmert will announce their full support for Fatah chief and Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas’s new government. The US will intensify General Keith Dayton’s training and arming of Fatah forces. Israel will give Fatah $700 million. The Europeans and the rest of the international community will give the “moderate, secular” terror group still more money and guns

and love. The US will likely also demand that Olmert order the IDF to give Fatah terrorists free reign in Judea and Samaria.

Olmert and Bush claim that by backing Abbas militarily, financially and politically they will be setting up an “alternative Palestine” which will rival Hamas’s jihadist Palestine. As this notion has it, envious of the good fortune of their brethren in Judea and Samaria, Gazans will overthrow Hamas and the course will be set for peace – replete with the ethnic cleansing of Judea and Samaria and eastern Jerusalem of all Jewish presence.

FATAH FORCES barely raised a finger to prevent their defeat in Gaza in spite of the massive quantities of US arms they received and the military training they underwent at the hands of US General Keith Dayton. Bush, Olmert and all proponents of the notion of strengthening Fatah in Judea and Samaria refuse to answer one simple question: Why would a handover of Judea and Samaria to Abbas’s Fatah produce a better outcome than Israel’s 2005 handover of Gaza to Abbas’s Fatah?

They refuse to answer this question because they know full well that the answer is that there is absolutely no reason to believe that the outcome can be better. They know full well that since replacing Yasser Arafat as head of the PA in 2004, Abbas refused to take any effective action against Hamas. They know that he refused to take action to prevent Hamas’s rise to power in Gaza and Judea and Samaria. They know that the guns the US transferred to Fatah in Gaza were surrendered to Hamas without a fight last week.

They know that the billions of dollars of international and Israeli assistance to Fatah over the past 14 years never were used to advance the cause of peace.

They know that that money was diverted into the pockets of Fatah strongmen and utilized to build terror militias in which Hamas members were invited to serve. They know that Fatah built a terror superstructure in Judea, Samaria and Gaza which enabled operational cooperation between Fatah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad terror cells.

SO WHY embrace the fantasy that things can be different now, in Judea and Samaria? Rather than provide rational arguments to defend their view that Hamas’s takeover of Gaza is an opportunity for peace, proponents of peace fantasies as strategic wisdom explain vacuously that peace is the best alternative to jihad. They whine that those who point out that Israel now borders Iran in Lebanon and Gaza have nothing positive to say.

To meet the growing threat in Gaza, they argue that Europeans, or maybe Egyptians and Jordanians can be deployed at the international border with Egypt to stem the weapons and terror personnel flow into Gaza. To meet the growing threat in Lebanon, Olmert pleads for more UN troops.

Both views ignore the obvious: Gaza has been transformed into an Iranian-sponsored base for global jihad because Egypt has allowed it to be so transformed. Assisted by its Syrian-sponsored Palestinian allies, Hizbullah has rebuilt its arsenals and reasserted its control in southern Lebanon because UN forces in southern Lebanon have done nothing to prevent it from doing so.

No country on earth will volunteer to fight Hamas and its jihadist allies in Gaza.

No government on earth will voluntarily deploy its forces to counter Hizbullah and Iran in south Lebanon. This is why – until they fled – European monitors at the Rafah terminal were a joke. This is why Spanish troops in UNIFIL devote their time in Lebanon to teaching villagers Spanish.

SO WHY are Bush and Olmert set to embrace Fatah and Abbas today? Why are they abjectly refusing to come to terms with the strategic reality of the Iranian-Syrian onslaught? Why are they insisting that the establishment of a Palestinian state is their strategic goal and doing everything they can to pretend that their goal has not been repeatedly proven absurd?

Well, why should they? As far as Bush is concerned, no American politician has ever paid a price for advancing the cause of peace processes that strengthen terrorists and hostile Arab states at Israel’s expense. Bush’s predecessor Bill Clinton had Arafat over to visit the White House more often than any other foreign leader and ignored global jihad even when its forces bombed US embassies and warships. And today Clinton receives plaudits for his efforts to bring peace to the Middle East.

By denying that the war against Israel is related to the war in Iraq; by ignoring the strategic links between all the Iranian and Syrian sponsored theaters of war, Bush views gambling with Israel’s security as a win-win situation. He will be applauded as a champion of peace and if the chips go down on Israel, well, it won’t be Americans being bombed.

OLMERT LOOKS to his left and sees president-elect Shimon Peres. Peres, the architect of the Oslo process which placed Israel’s national security in the hands of the PLO, has been rewarded for his role in imperiling his country by his similarly morally challenged political colleagues who just bestowed him with Israel’s highest office.

Olmert looks to his left and his sees incoming defense minister Ehud Barak. In 2000, then prime minister Barak withdrew Israeli forces from Lebanon, and enabled Iran’s assertion of control over southern Lebanon through its Hizbullah proxy. In so doing, Barak set the conditions for last summer’s war, and quite likely, for this summer’s war.

By offering Arafat Gaza, 95 percent of Judea and Samaria and half of Jerusalem at Camp David, Barak showed such enormous weakness that he all but invited the Palestinian terror war which Arafat began planning the day he rejected Barak’s offer.

For his failure, Barak has been rewarded by his Labor Party, which elected him its new chairman on the basis of his vast “experience,” and by the media which has embraced him as a “professional” defense minister.

Olmert looks to his right and he sees how the media portrays Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu and former IDF Chief of General Staff Moshe Ya’alon as alarmists for claiming that Israel cannot abide by an Iranian-proxy Hamas state on its border. He sees that Shas and Yisrael Beiteinu supported Peres’s candidacy as president and have joined their fortunes to Olmert’s in a bid to block elections which will bring the Right to power.

ISRAEL HAS arguably never faced a more dangerous strategic environment than it faces today. Yet it is not without good options. It can retake control over the Gaza-Sinai border. It can renew its previously successful tactic of killing Hamas terrorists.

It can continue its successful campaign of keeping terrorists down in Judea and Samaria, and it can continue preparing for war in the north. All of these options can be sold to the Left.

But today both Bush and Olmert will reject these options in favor of mindless peace process prattle. They will reject reality as they uphold Abbas as a credible leader and shower him with praise, money and arms. Their political fortunes will be utmost in their minds as they do this. And they will be guaranteeing war that will claim the lives of an unknown number of Israeli civilians and soldiers.

Bush and Olmert should know that when the time for reckoning comes they will not be able to claim, along with Peres and Barak that their hands did not shed this blood. Reality has warned them of their folly.

But in their low, dishonest opportunism, they have chosen to ignore reality and amuse themselves with fantasies and photo-ops.

Guns, Funds, and Supplies will One Day be Used against Israel!

Am I opposed to guns, funds, and supplies being poured into the West Bank to the new Fatah terrorist government just established by Abbas? Absolutely not! Why? Because I believe this is the beginning of a process which will eventually lead to the beginning of the last three and one-half years of a period of tribulation, which will close with the final battle known as Armageddon, at which time the Second Advent will occur.

Even though I am very confident that eventually all the weapons, funds, and supplies will eventually wind up in the hands of a united Fatah and Hamas when they eventually attack Israel, I am anxious, after waiting some 40 years for the situation to ripen in the Middle East, to see this show get on the road, because it ends with the Second Advent of my Messiah. I also have a second incentive for Middle East War to break out as soon as possible – during my period of waiting for Israel to be attacked from the north, from age 35 to 75, the tent in which my soul lives has gone through Vietnam, the raising of seven children, five by-passes, more than 600 weeks of presenting geological end time lectures in universities, seminaries, schools, and churches, and being a pastor of a Missionary Baptist Church for 33 years.

This tent has more aches and pains than two handfuls of pills a day can bring under control.

I am more then ready for the final curtain of this Age of the Gentiles to come down.

I apologize to those of you who are saved, but still want to stick around until your children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up, and also to expectant mothers and those with babies – believe me when I tell you I do understand how you feel – it is only natural – it was what I wanted when I went through those stages of life. But sooner or later it has to happen to some generation, and I believe this is this is the generation in which it will occur.

Who knows, maybe we will both get our wish – maybe I am wrong about this being the last generation, and you will get your wish. And since I believe that physical death for a saved man or woman is simply an early rapture, maybe I will be fortunate enough to die before 2013, and leave you here to get your wish.

US lifts financial and political embargo from PA gov’t

The United States on Monday lifted its economic and political embargo against the Palestinian government, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice announced.

The move follows the expulsion of Hamas from the Palestinian Authority, and is meant to strengthen Western-backed PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas by resuming direct US aid.

inister Salam Fayyad of the decision in phone call.

“I told him the United States would resume full assistance to the Palestinian government and normal government-to-government contacts,” she told reporters at the State Department. “I told the prime minister that we want to work with his government and support his efforts to enforce the rule of law and to ensure a better life for the Palestinian people.”

“We intend to lift our financial restrictions on the Palestinian government, which has accepted previous agreements with Israel and rejects the path of violence. This will enable the American people and American financial institutions to resume normal economic and commercial ties with the Palestinaian government,” Rice said.

She said the administration would ask Congress to rework a previous $86 million aid request. That money had been intended to help shore up Abbas’s security forces but could now be put to other uses.

Separately, Rice said the United States would contribute an additional $40 million (€29.8 million) to the United Nations to help Palestinians, particularly in the Gaza Strip, which is now controlled by Hamas.

“Through its actions, Hamas sought to divide the Palestinan nation. We reject that,” Rice said. “It is the position of the United States that there one Palestinian people and there should be one Palestinian state.”

“We are not going to countenance that somehow the Palestinians are divisible,” she said “We are not going to abandon the Palestinians living in Gaza.”

Hamas seized control of Gaza last week after a series of battles with Abbas’s Fatah movement. The violence left Gaza increasingly isolated, a situation that worsened Sunday when an Israeli fuel company cut off deliveries to gas stations in the impoverished coastal strip.

Bush spoke with Abbas to express full US support for his decision to dissolve the government, swear in an emergency cabinet and outlaw the forces of Hamas, the White House said.

In the call, Bush noted that he plans to meet Tuesday with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and that he would share their thoughts on how to continue, White House press secretary Tony Snow said.

“What’s important is, you have to have a partner who is committed to peace, and we believe that [Chairman] Abbas is,” Snow said. “And therefore we are committed to working with this new emergency government.”

The move essentially resets US policy to the days before Hamas swept legislative elections in early 2006 and upended US and international peacemaking.

The United States, Israel and the European Union regard Hamas as a terrorist organization.

Some in the United States and in Europe have advocated a policy dubbed “West Bank first” in which the West Bank would stand as an example of what a future Palestinian state could be.

Critics on the other side say that leaves Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip without assistance. Europeans oppose this idea, and still others worry it would leave the Gaza Strip open to funding and influence from Iran and Syria.

Olmert says he will release frozen tax funds to the PA

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Sunday evening he would release frozen tax revenue to the Palestinian Authority and remove some West Bank blockades.

His words came on the eve of his visit to Washington, where the US Administration was expected to ask him to take significant steps to bolster Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, in order to show the Palestinians what they have to gain under the “moderates,” as opposed to what they have to lose under the extremists.

“We will cooperate with this government,” Olmert said in a Manhattan address to the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.

“We will defreeze monies that we kept under our control because we didn’t want these monies to be taken by Hamas to be used as part of a terrorist action. And we will do what we can to upgrade the quality of life [in the West Bank].”

Europe Seeks European Support to Isolate Gaza

Israel sought on Monday to shore up European support for a U.S.-backed strategy of isolating Hamas in Gaza while freeing funds for Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank. Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said she would try to persuade EU foreign ministers in talks in Strasbourg, France, on Monday to continue an aid boycott against the Islamist Hamas which refuses to recognize Israel.

The Bush administration plans to lift a ban on direct aid to Abbas’ government this week. Washington wants to accelerate talks on Palestinian statehood between Olmert and Abbas in the West Bank while isolating Hamas in Gaza. (Reuters)

I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

[4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

I believe the great can of worms opened by the slaughter of Fatah forces in the Gaza Strip will lead to the fulfillment of a form of peace and a degree of safety mindset among the Israelis, which will eventually lead to sudden destruction coming upon them at some point in time between 2008 and the end of 2012. This destruction will be that prophesied in the follow

ing Scriptures.

The can of worms to which I referred involves the events

of the last two weeks, which I believe will lead to the beginning of the eventual setting in motion the driving of Israel into the Negev Wilderness at some point in time between 2008 and the end of 2012, if my guesstimate is correct.

Abbas Wants Israeli Concessions to Buy Reconciliation with Hamas

Mahmoud Abbas has good reason to rejoice over Ehud Olmert’s strange celebration of the Hamas victory in Gaza as “a new peace opportunity,” especially as the prime minister brings this message to his White House talks with President George W. Bush Tuesday, June 19.

The rest of the West is lamenting the fact a jihadist Islamic terrorist organization has acquired rule over a territory for the first time.

Abbas is making hay. His Fatah government installed in Ramallah Sunday, June 17, is already getting a shower of direct Western aid.

The European Union has added its usual two bits of advice for Israel to add its support.

The Palestinian leader has translated this advice into a list of extortionate concessions, which Israel previously denied as opening the door to suicidal terror in its cities.

Abbas means to demand the massive release of the most dangerous Palestinian security prisoners, including multiple murderers, and the sweeping removal of the West Bank checkpoints which screen and intercept potential bombers.

He was quick to grasp that Olmert in this mode will be openhanded enough to give him a fresh lease of life in the form of concessions to buy his passport to credibility in Palestinian eyes. He will then have the leverage he needs for his next move – not a war to prevent Hamas domination of the West Bank, but to the contrary, reconciliation with the jihadists of Gaza. He is gearing up to establish another Palestinian unity government, one which endorses Hamas as masters of Gaza and grants him wall-to-wall approval at the top of the Palestinian tree instead of a flop in Gaza.

A serious obstacle to this ambition, the presence at his side of the ex-Gaza strongman Muhammed Dahlan, the object of Hamas’ abhorrence, as national security adviser, is about to removed. The inquiry commission Abbas announced Monday to probe the Gaza fiasco will take care of that.

In the meantime, the 11 ministers he named to his emergency cabinet in Ramallah Sunday, June 17, are mostly nonentities, except for the pro-Western prime minister, Salim Fayyed, who is trusted in Washington and Brussels with aid funds.

The portfolios are available for returning Hamas ministers, including the prize bait of the interior ministry which controls Palestinian security forces.

That Abbas was building a façade was obvious from his choice of interior minister: the 80-year old pensioned-off general Razek Yahya, who lives in retirement in Amman and is clearly a stopgap. Had he intended to put up serious resistance to a Hamas takeover of the West Bank, Abbas would have installed a charismatic military leader with operational qualifications.

As for the Western aid funds about to pour into Ramallah, Abbas will not invest the cash in a security force capable of taking on Hamas, because not a single soldier will be sent into battle against the Islamist group, any more than he sent his Presidential Guardsmen into action to save Gaza from Hamas domination last week. For his needs, the force built by the Americans will suffice.

Aid funds will be used to cover the wages of the Palestinian Authority security personnel remaining in the Gaza Strip under Hamas rule and preserve their loyalty.

DEBKAfile’s Israeli military sources with long experience of Palestinian dealings say this is a typical formula, familiar from the aftermath of the 1983 Oslo accords: Fatah officers will survive in Gaza by serving two masters, Abbas and Hamas, and drawing salaries from both.

The rampage his security forces conducted under Col. Tawfiq Tirawi against Hamas activists and institutions in the last three days is described as no more than token action to gain Abbas an extra bargaining chip against Hamas.

Once a deal is struck, Hamas will be reinstated on the West Bank as before.

Abbas’ candidate to replace Dahlan as his number two is Jibril Rajoub, former chief of the West Bank Preventive Security Service and Dahlan’s old enemy, who gets on well with Hamas. He has been designated Abbas’ lead negotiator, DEBKAfile’s sources disclose, for the reconciliation talks with Hamas, which are due to start in a couple of months after the dust settles in Gaza.

Rajoub is already doing some spadework in Cairo. He has advised Egyptian leaders not to cut of their ties with Hamas, after pulling out their diplomatic and military missions from Gaza last week, but to work with the Hamas’ “moderate” wing and the “right people” in Fatah as future power-sharing partners.

So why is the Israeli prime minister so pleased with the Gaza episode

? And what blinds him to Abbas’ manipulations for consolidating Hamas’ grip on Gaza, ensconcing Iran and Damascus on Israel’s border, and strengthening Hamas’ position on the West Bank and in Palestinian government?

DEBKAfile’s sources report that Olmert hopes his Gaza line will make Israelis and Americans forget his blunders in supporting Israel’s disengagement from Gaza in 2005, his permission for the Jan.

2006 Palestinian general poll which brought Hamas to power through the ballot and his mismanagement of the Lebanon war last summer.

He will argue that his policies will eventually triumph in the Middle East if he is allowed to pursue them to the finish.
