I am still guesstimating, that at some point in time between 2008 and 2012 it is quite likely we will see all this acquired weaponry, obtained for the mother of all Jihads, unleashed by ten Arab nations on Israel.

It is a forgone conclusion it will be unleashed, the only uncertainty we face is precisely WHEN.

The news media reports, such as the one which follows by DEBKAfile, are certainly flowing over with reports of the preparation for a Middle East War of sweeping magnitude.

April 15, on the eve of Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day, Hizballah and Iranian Revolutionary Guards commanders staged a grand ceremony at the Imam Ali base in northern Tehran to celebrate the launch of Hizballah’ s anti-air mi

ssile wing. They cheered the 500 Lebanese graduates of a course in the use of three anti-air missiles supplied by Iran:

The Sayyad 1 (Hunter), the Misagh 1 (Convention [with Allah]) and the Shahab Sagheb (Meteor), which is based on the Chinese Feimeng-80 system.

DEBKAfile’s military sources report that these new weapons will seriously restrict the Israeli Air Force’s tactical freedom over Lebanon.

In the event of hostilities, Israeli warplanes will have to evade a dense array of Hizballah-operated anti-air missiles which will also defend the terrorist group’s surface rocket batteries.

Those sources disclose that the Iranian-Chinese missile has already been smuggled into Lebanon and is in Hizballah’s hands. It is designed to shoot down planes and helicopters flying at ultra-low altitudes under radar screens for surprise assaults on ground targets such as military bases, missile positions and artillery. Ordinary radar and air defense missiles are mostly ineffective against these low-flying tactics.

The new missile makes up for this shortcoming.

On March 7, the 500 Hizballah trainees flew out of Damascus airport for Tehran aboard two civilian airliners; on April 16, they returned home – again through the Syrian airport – after training in the Imam Ali base under Iranian experts commanded by Iranian Col.

DEBKAfile hears from military circles wry remarks to the effect that, while Israel’s heads of state and chief of staff solemnly declared: “Never again!” in speeches marking Holocaust Remembrance day, they are seriously short on action for curbing Hizballah-Hamas preparations for their next war on the Jewish state.

Surface missiles are routinely smuggled into Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, unopposed.

But the arming of Iran’s Lebanese proxy with deadly anti-air missiles poses a new and extraordinarily threat to the Israeli Air Force and, moreover, prevents air attacks on the Hizballah batteries shooting rockets into Israel. Questions are being asked about how Israel’s policy-makers and top brass could have allowed 500 Hizballah trainees to fly out of Damascus airport unhindered and return as air defense specialists, highly trained for shooting missiles at the Israeli Air Force and preventing Israeli warplanes from halting surface rockets should they fly against Israeli civilian locations once more.

Hoo! Rah! Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Syria has converted them to Peace!

Apparently, Nancy Pelosi is indeed a product of “California Dreaming,” literally the liberal opiate of a massive quantity of dream smoke drifting from the California crack and cat houses, to float over the political dens of intrigue and conspiracy in Washington. It is a vision of the wildest form of ridiculous poppy dream to even fantasize that her visit and little chit-chat with Bashar Assad, the terrorist leader President of Syria, could ever change the sinister mode of thinking lying behind Syria’s true objectives in getting back the Golan Heights. But, at times, their threat of war does unveil their ultimate goal, with is the complete destruction of Israel as a Middle East nation. Syria wants the Golan Heights back because of its great strategic military heights, which gives them a fantastic jump in their ability to launch a surprise attack against Israel, and to observe all that is going on in northern Israel.

The latest threat of war is quite genuine.

Either give it back to us soon, or we will take it from you, using the same internal force against you used by Hizbullah in Lebanon and by the PA and the many other terror groups in Israel.

This peace the Arabs keep offering Israel is an opium poppy dream, and all the peaceniks and bleeding hearts are like addicts lying on beds in an opium den enjoying the bliss of floating on a silver lined cloud.

So, when they finally awake to the stark reality of the impossibility of peace by diplomacy in the Middle East, what follows in these Scriptures is what they will awaken to see happening in the land of Israel.

Zechariah 13:8 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Zechariah 14:2 – For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God,

that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

So, to all you bleeding hearts and peaceniks, who want to see Israel do what “Fred” does (give away the store), don’t worry, they will, and then you will supposedly get your pipe dream of peace in the Middle East, or will you?

There will never be any peace in the Middle East until Jesus returns at his Second Advent some three and one-half years after Jerusalem falls, and it will last for a thousand years. I am for Israel. And I would advise you to be of the same mind. Why? In the end their God, who just happens to be my God, is going to deliver them.

I am on the side which will eventually win.

Genesis 15:18 – In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Ezekiel 47:17 – And the border from the sea shall be Hazar-enan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.

“Hamath” is near modern day Hama in Syria.

Ezekiel 47:19 – And the south side southward,

from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.

The “great sea” is the Mediterranean Sea.

This great land grant goes almost to Turkey, from the Mediterranean to the Euphrates in Iraq, and into part of Egypt. Somehow, I don’t believe that pleases the Arabs. Don’t worry – God is going to make sure Israel eventually wins!

They will call on his name in the Negev Wilderness, and he will deliver them to claim his Land Grant given to them through Isaac and Jacob.

Zechariah 13:9 – And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

The Jerusalem post Article, which follows this paragraph, is the genuine “honest to goodness” mindset of Syria, and no amount of chit-chat, dialog, diplomacy, foreign aid, or compromise is going to change it. So all you peaceniks and bleeding hearts quit whining and buckle your seat belts.

In a few years we are going to take an exciting, fearful ride. So take Esther’s attitude – IF I PERISH, I PERISH. I will perish knowing when I wake up God will be the victor.

Syria: Accept Arab initiative or we’ll resort to violence

Syrian Information Minister Mohsen Bilal threatened on Monday evening to return the Golan Heights to Syrian hands “by way of resistance If Israel [rejected] the Arab peace initiative.”

Bilal did not elaborate but some analysts raised the possibilities of either a full scale conventional war or a terror campaign in the Golan as one of the means to undertake a mukawama (resistance in Arabic).

After saying that “Syria wishes to revive the peace process with Israel with the help of US and Russian mediators,” Bilal immediately added a threat, saying that “If Israel [rejected] the Arab peace initiative, the only way to get the Golan Heights back would be the way of resistance.” Bilal was speaking at a press conference in Damascus, referring to the Arab peace initiative of 2002.

Bilal’s belligerent remarks follow on the heels of a visit by Syrian-born American businessman, Abe Suleiman, to Jerusalem last week.

Suleiman promised the Foreign Affairs and Defense committee of the Knesset that “peace with Syria could be achieved within six months.”

George Jabour, a Syrian member of parliament, said Suleiman was speaking on his own behalf and

was in no way affiliated with the Syrian leadership. “Suleiman has zero credibility in the eyes of Syrians,” Jabour said.

Bilal echoed Jabour statements in an interview he gave on Syrian TV on Saturday, quoted by SANA (the Syrian Arab News Agency). He said that all the Syrian people stood behind President Bashar Assad’s leadership for the achievement of just and comprehensive peace in the region.

He defined this “just and comprehensive peace” as the restoration of the “whole occupied Syrian Golan,” what remained of the Lebanese territories under occupation, and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. Bilal also demanded the recognition of the Palestinian refugees right to return to their homeland.

While Bilal echoed the tenets of the Arab peace initiative, rejected by Israel wholesale, his demands went beyond the more recent Saudi initiative, which remains vague on the question of the right of return.

Jerusalem did not fully accept the Saudi initiative as well, saying only that it contained a basis for further negotiations.

During the Second Lebanon War, Syria made peace overtures by agreeing to “unconditional” negotiations with Israel.

However, as soon as a ceasefire was achieved and Syria no longer feared possible engagement with the IDF as part of its campaign against Hizbullah, the Syrian leadership denied any willingness for unconditional negotiations.

It is now apparent to both the Lebanese government and military forces that Hizbullah will use economic, political, and military action to take over Lebanon. Its primary goal is to turn Lebanon into what would be a literal Irani an

satellite, which would complete a military link through Syria and Iraq to Iran. Even the Lebanese army is waking up to what Nasrallah is planning to carry out.

The wake-up began in February when a convoy of trucks from Syria with multiple weapons for the army of Hizbullah was intercepted by the Lebanese army, as reported in the Jerusalem Post Article, which follows our introduction.

For ages the Lebanese Army has let Iranian and Syrian weapons slip through to Hizbullah without the slightest bit of interference.

However, since Hizbullah is now trying to overthrow the Lebanese government, the issue has become a horse of a different color. Last week Lebanese soldiers discovered a convoy of trucks coming from Syria with multiple weapons for Hizbollah.

In the past they would have let them pass on to Hizbullah in southern Lebanon, but Hizbullah is now creating riots to overthrow the Lebanese government, so they confiscated the weaponry, and Hizbullah has been howling like an Irish banshee all week.

‘Hizbullah has the right to secretly transfer Arms’

Hizbullah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah said Friday that the terror organization “had the right to secretly transfer arms in order to hide them from the Israeli enemy.”

Nasrallah said in yet another televised speech that he would not forgive Lebanon for confiscating one of the group’

s trucks last week which was carrying weapons to the group.

Speaking at an event commemorating the death of Abbas Musawi, Nasrallah’s predecessor, he admitted that “Hizbullah has many types of weapons,” and that he is “ready to give the Lebanese army weapons if needed.”

He would not forgive anyone who confiscated even one bullet, he added, referring to the government.

Hizbullah, he said, had been willing to join forces with the Lebanese army during the latest clashes between the army and the IDF on the northern border.

“In Maroun al-Ras we were ready to join and assist the officers and soldiers of the Lebanese army. If another conflict breaks out, our weapons, our blood and our youth will stand with Lebanon’s army,” he insisted.

He vowed to continue the opposition campaign to force Prime Minister Fuad Saniora to share power or step down.

Nasrallah said he was confident of eventual triumph, claiming the group had the resources for it.

“No one should imagine that the opposition’s coffers have emptied,” he said. “If the (demands) are not met, the opposition will continue its actions by means which it finds appropriate.”

The Western support which has sustained the government will not last long, the black-turbaned Shiite cleric also said. “The opposition will achieve its goal and will triumph sooner or later.”

How easily the sparks from the American-Israeli fire fall across the Middle East.

Every threat, every intransigence uttered in Washington and Tehran now burns a little bit more of Lebanon. It is not by chance that the UN forces in the south of the country now face growing suspicion among the Shia Muslims who live there. It is no coincidence that Israel thunders that the Hizbollah are now more powerful than they were before last year’s July war. It is not an accident that Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, Hizbollah’s leader, says he has brought more missiles into Lebanon.

Why, the Lebanese ask, did President Bashar al-Assad of Syria visit President Ahmadinejad of Iran last weekend

? To further seal their “brotherly” relations? Or to plan a new war with Israel in Lebanon

The images of Iran’s new missile launches during three days of military manoeuvres – apparently long-range rockets which could be fired at US warships in the Gulf – were splashed across the Beirut papers yesterday morning, along with Washington’s latest threats of air strikes against Iran’s military. Be certain that the Lebanese will be

the first to suffer.

For the West, the crisis in Lebanon – where Hizbollah and its allies are still demanding the resignation of Fouad Siniora’s government – is getting more serious by the hour. Up to 20,000 UN troops – including Nato battalions of Spanish, French and Italian forces – are now billeted across the hillsides of southern Lebanon, in the very battleground upon which the Israelis and the Hizbollah are threatening to fight each other again.

If Israel is America’s proxy (which the Lebanese don’t doubt), then Hizbollah is Iran’s proxy. The more the United States and Israel warn Iran of its supposed nuclear ambitions, the more Hizbollah increases the pressure on Lebanon.

We have the arms to defend Lebanon’

Hizbullah “has enough weapons to defend Lebanon against Israeli aggression,” Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah’s political advisor Hussein Halil said Monday to the London based Asharq Alawsat newspaper.

Halil said that his organization also “firmly opposes the supervision at the Syrian-Lebanese border” (In place as part of UNSC 1701 to prevent arms smuggling).

He added that the weapons would never be used in a civil war in Lebanon since Hizbullah firmly opposes it.

During the interview, Halil also emphasized that the Hizbullah were willing to put down their arms if a majority of Lebanon’s citizens were to demand they do so via a direct referendum.

He said that Nasrallah was “willing to conduct a referendum about anything… even about [our] political intentions.”

The interview follows the UK’s The Guardian interview last Wednesday, in which Sheikh Naim Kassem, Hizbullah’s deputy secretary general, said that “we are prepared for the possibility of another adventure or the demand of American policy that might push the IDF in that direction.”

The printing of the King James Bible paved the way for an eventual spreading of God’s World into the far flung corners of the earth. There have been many suspected antichrists of the known world since its move into the mindset of the human race.

Each one has been believed to be the antichrist of the Bible by countless numbers of children of God who were anxious to see the return of Messiah Jesus Christ. Antichrist after antichrist has faded into oblivion, and still no Messiah.

The conquest of Jerusalem by Titus in A.D. 70 set the stage for a long line of antichrists to begin their trek across the annals of world history for some 1937 years.

There has been a steady stream of rulers, identified as the antichrist, who have poured into Europe from the southeast through the northeast since the New Testament was written, as well as those who arose in Europe from Napoleon to Hitler. I believe he will arise in Lebanon or Syria at some point in time between 2008 and 1012.

Experts Warn of Global Jihad at Herzliya Conference

Two Islam experts warned participants at the Herzliya Conference on Monday that

global jihad is on the rise — and should be taken seriously.

Islamic expert and historian Bernard Lewis spoke back-to-back with former CIA director James Woolsey at the Herzliya Conference Monday, sounding the alarm on the global Jihad and dismissing the concept of a Palestinian state.

“In the self-perception of the Muslim world, their primary identity is to deliver Islam to the world – to not keep it selflessly to themselves but to give it to mankind,” expla ined Lewis, add

ing that the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979 signified the first major victory in the global Islamic push toward that goal.

“There are competing leaders to take this fight ahead,” he said. “The Sunni Wahabi cause is represented by bin Laden.

Another is the Shi’ite version, which began with the first Iranian revolution, and the second Iranian revolution, taking place at this moment. The whole Arab and Muslim world is experiencing the second stage of the Islamic revolution in Iran.

“I have been told by Iranian friends that Ahmadinejad is indeed crazy, but not stupid,” Lewis warned. “He really believes in the end of days that he is heralding. There is a widespread belief among Shi’ites that that time has come. Mutually assured destruction is not a deterrent to Ahmadinejad, but an inducement.”

James Woolsey, former director of the United States Central Intelligence Agency, addressed the conference next.

Unlike many of the speakers, Woolsey, a guest of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs had arrived the previous day and attended nearly all of the conference’s sessions.

Woolsey summarized several opinions that were expressed, lauding UN sanctions, negotiations and the state of the world. “I do not represent a majority view – but on all of these points I beg to differ,” he said.

Woolsey proceeded to lament the fate of Europe, which he sees as already having been compromised in what he calls World War IV – the third having been the Cold War.

“I wish we had a partnership with Europe, but I am afraid it is deteriorating,” he explained. “Europe is accommodating Sharia (Islamic law) and becoming increasingly affected by the Muslim demographics in their countries.”

Woolsey said he sees no distinction between the Islamic onslaught in Israel, Iraq or elsewhere. He compared the war against Islamism with that against Nazism and Communism.

As a former director of the world’s largest intelligence agency, Woolsey dismissed claims by Iran and its apologists that the Islamic Republic seeks nuclear capability for peaceful means.

“With its huge oil and natural gas reserves, Iran is not the least bit interested in nuclear power,” he said. “And negotiation with a movement that defines itself by its goal of the destruction of Israel and the United States is like trying to persuade Hitler to give up anti-Semitism.”

Woolsey displayed in-depth knowledge of the various theological movements and streams vying for the soul of the Islamic world. “The Ujutiya – end of time – movement represents a major part of Iranian politics today,” he warned. “If we look at it like a chess game, the nuclear bomb is the queen.”

Woolsey, like Lewis, warned that the Iranian Shi’ite sect is not the only threat posed by Islam.

“In 1979, with the seizure of the great mosque in Mecca and the rise to power of a Shi’ite theocracy in Iran, a rise in Wahabi-ism took place as well. This was funded largely by the increase in the price of oil.

Today, little boys are taught to want to be suicide bombers both in Pakistani madrassas, and in the West Bank, with Wahabi oil money.”

Russian official: Israel-Syria tensions might escalate into war

Russian National Security Council Secretary Igor Ivanov warned last week during a visit to Israel that the tense cease-fire between Jerusalem and Damascus might escalate into war if the two parties mutually miscalculate their strength.

Ivanov raised the issue during his visit to Israel as part of a delegation of Russian officials here to engage in strategic discussions with Israeli officials.

National Security Council Head Ilan Mizrahi responded by saying that the fact that Russia was supplying Syria with modern weapons and missiles might encourage it to miscalculate its strength. Mizrahi added that delivering weapons to Syria would also undermine regional stability.

Ivanov replied that Russia was supplying both Iran and Syria with defensive weapon systems only.

He went on to tell the Israeli delegation that Syrian President Bashar Assad was genuinely interested in negotiating a peace agreement with Israel.

“As I told you in November, you will find a partner in Assad,” he said, adding that Russia supported the government of Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Siniora.

As for the Iranian nuclear program, Ivanov said Russia would not allow the Islamic republic to arm itself with nuclear weapons. “A nuclear Iran would threaten Russia, too,” he said.

Ivanov reiterated this statement during his meeting with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. The danger attached to the Iranian nuclear program must not be downplayed, “but it should not be exaggerated either,” Ivanov said.

He added that diplomatic talks to resolve the crisis revolving the Iranian nuclear effort have not been exhausted, and that there was “still much to be done in that respect.” Ivanov also relayed Russia’s apprehensions regarding a possible joint American-Israeli military strike against Iran.

Several members of the Israeli delegation disagreed with

the assessments of their Russian counterparts regarding the issue.

Regarding Moscow’s connection with Hamas, Ivanov said Russia’s balanced stance on the Middle East enabled it to serve as an acceptable mediator for all parties.

Ivanov added that Russia was interested in assisting the government of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

The delegation included high-ranking officers.

In addition to Ivanov and other Russian Security Council members, the deputy chief of the Russian intelligence service and his counterpart in the Russian internal security intelligence organization were there.
