I have waited for years for secret meetings to begin between the various terror group leaders and

the rulers of the countries that sponsor them. I believe it is essential for this to happen before terrorist activities will subside to a level such that Israel can be lulled into a false sense of peace as phony as a three dollar bill.

Abbas: “Raise Rifles Against the Israeli Occupation”

Arutz Sheva – Israel National News

“Raise [your] rifles against the Israeli occupation,” Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas declared Thursday in Ramallah.

In a speech commemorating the 42nd anniversary of the founding of his Fatah party, the PA chief called on Arab factions to put an end to weeks of infighting and instead fight Israel.

“Shooting at your brother is forbidden. Raising rifles against the occupation is our legitimate right, but raising guns against each o

ther is forbidden. We should put our internal fighting aside and raise our rifles only against the Israeli occupation,” said Abbas in a speech in the Muqata compound in Ramallah attended by World Net Daily.

Abbas’ call to arms was not reported by most major media outlets featuring articles on the PA leader’s speech.

His statements about using rifles against Israel come after the United States, aided by Ehud Olmert, over the last few weeks provided 7,000 assault rifles and more than 1 million rounds of ammunition to militias associated with Abbas’ Fatah party, according to senior

Fatah militants.

In Thursday’ speech, Abbas went on to praise late Hamas spiritual leaderAhmed Yassin, who was assassinated by Israel in March 2004.

He also used Quranic verses to claim Jews are corrupting the world.

“The sons of Israel are mentioned as those who are corrupting humanity on earth,” Abbas said during a portion of his speech in which he criticized recent Israeli anti-terror raids in northern Samaria.

Abbas’ anti-Semitic remarks and his call to arms against the Jewish state were not quoted in hundreds of English-language articles reporting on Thursday’s speech or by most major Israeli dailies, which featured pieces on their websites about the Fatah commemoration ceremonies.

A widely-circulated Associated Press article, titled “Abbas calls for respect at Fatah rally,” states Abbas called for rival factions to respect each other.

The AP quotes Abbas stating, “Shooting at your brother is forbidden,” but the article stops short of quoting the rest of his sentence in which he recommends PA Arabs use their weapons against Israel.

The AP article was featured on such top websites as the WashingtonPost.com and CBSNews.com. Articles by other news agencies and local Israeli papers also failed to quote Abbas’ anti-Israel and anti-Semitic remarks.

WND reported that the recent U.S. shipments of rifles and ammunition were provided to bolster Fatah against rival Hamas factions, the Fatah militants said.

Fatah and Hamas have engaged in weeks of deadly firefights since Abbas last month called for new elections in a move widely seen as an attempt to dismantle the Hamas-led PA.

Abu Yousuf, a Fatah militant from Abbas’ Force 17 security forces, told WND while some of the weapons may be used in confrontations against Hamas, the bulk of the American arms would be utilized to “hit the Zionists.”

PA officials: Abbas envoys holding secret talks with Meshal in Syria

By Haaretz Service and Reuters

Envoys of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas have been holding secret meetings with the top leader of the militant Hamas group exiled in Syria to end deadly Palestinian infighting and prepare new coalition talks, senior PA officials said Saturday.

Abbas will come to Damascus early next week to meet exiled Hamas chief Khaled Meshal and Syrian officials, said Moussa Abu Marzouk, the deputy head of Hamas’ political bureau in Syria.

An Abbas aide confirmed that Abbas planned to meet with Meshal on Monday.

Officials from both Palestinian sides said significant progress has been made in the secret talks over the past two weeks between Meshal and two Abbas envoys, independent legislator Ziad Abu Amr and Mohammed Rashid – a former advisor to Abbas’ predecessor Yasser Arafat.

The envoys were heading to Damascus for another round of talks Saturday following a stop in Qatar, which has been mediating between Palestinian factions, officials said on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to talk to the media.

Abu Marzouk said mediations were geared at resuming negotiations between the Hamas-led government and Abbas’ more moderate Fatah party to form a national unity cabinet.

Two Old Presidential Friends – Assad (Syria) & Talabani (Iraq) Seal another Link in a 10 Nation Chain!

January 12, 2007

http://www.tribulationperiod.com/

Another link in a four-toed power chain of nations is being sealed in a shepherds staff hook around Israel, which stretches from Iran across Iraq into Syria and Lebanon, then south to Hamas in Gaza. Assad and Talabani had good relations during the exile of Talabani in Syria during Saddam Hussein’s reign in Iraq. Iraq will quickly become one of the 10 toes of Daniel 2:36-45, after American troops are eventually withdrawn following 2007.

I believe the most likely candidates for the ten toes of Daniel’s Chapter 2 statue stretch across North Africa to Iran, and include the following nations: (1) Morocco, (2) Algeria, (3) Tunisia, (4) Libya, (5) Sudan, (6) Turkey, (7) Lebanon, (8) Syria, (9) Iraq, and (10) Iran. I believe the rulers of Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait will in big trouble with their Islamic friends when the 10 toes attack Israel. I guesstimate the most likely time of the attack will be at a point in time between 2008 and 2012.

Iraqi President to make Landmark visit to Syria

Associated Press, THE JERUSALEM POST

January 12, 2007

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani will make a landmark trip to Syria on Sunday, the highest-level Iraqi visit to the country in more than 24 years, to sign a series of deals only days after US President George W. Bush accused Damascus of fueling violence in Iraq.

Talabani’s visit aims to seal ties between the two neighbors after they restored diplomatic relations in early December, cut in 1982 amid ideological disputes between Damascus and the regime of the late Saddam Hussein.

Talabani will arrive in Damascus on Sunday and stay for four or five days, Talabani’s spokesman Kamaran Qaradaghi told the Associated Press on Friday.

nolvadex tablets

State-run Iraqiya television said Talabani will meet Syrian President Bashar Assad and sign security and economic agreements.

Qaradaghi would not elaborate on Talabani’s talks in Damascus. But the Iraqi president was expected to discuss security on the country’s long desert border.

The United States and Iraqi officials accuse Damascus of allowing Sunni insurgents to cross the border freely to carry out attacks in Iraq. On Wednesday, Bush lashed out at Syria – and its ally Iran – in an address announcing a new strategy in Iraq, sending 20,000 more US troops in a bid to stem the country’s violence.

Bush accused Syria and Iran of fueling Iraq’s violence and vowed to break supply lines from them to militants in Iraq. He called on US Arab allies to rally behind Iraq’s Shi’ite-led government in what was seen in the Arab world as a move to isolate Syria and Iran.

Syria says it is doing all it can to patrol its border and blames the Americans and their Iraqi allies for not doing enough to monitor their side of the porous frontier.

Talabani’s visit to Syria illustrates the balancing act Iraq has taken between its supporter Washington and the United States’ top rivals in the region.

The restoration of diplomatic ties between Iraq and Syria marked a gradual warming between the two countries after years of hostility while Iraq was ruled by Saddam, followed by Syria’s shunning of the new Iraqi leadership that came to power after the 2003 US invasion of Iraq.

Iraq’s interior minister and parliament speaker have made recent trips to Syria.

Similarly, Iraq’s US-backed Shi’ite leaders have close ties with Iran, whose own relations with the United States have been characterized by enmity for nearly 30 years.

Syria broke diplomatic ties with Iraq in 1982, accusing it of inciting riots in Syria by the banned Muslim Brotherhood. But ties between the two were already poor. They were ruled by rival branches of the Arab nationalist Baath party, and Damascus sided with Iran in the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.

Talabani spent considerable length of time in exile in Syria during Saddam’s 23 years in power and has maintained good relations with Assad, like he did with his father, the late Syrian leader Hafez Assad.

However, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki – who holds more power in Iraq than the largely symbolic office of president – has been colder to Damascus, insisting that Iraq’s neighbors should stop medding in Iraqi affairs or helping its foes.

10 Jihad Kings among the Kings of Revelation 19:19!

Part 1 – The 10 Jihad Toes of Daniel 2

At the battle of Armageddon most of the kings of the earth will come to join the antichrist in a final attempt to eradicate the nation of Israel. Among them will be 10 nations representing the 10 Jihad toes of Daniel 2 that drove Israel into the Negev three and one-half years earlier.

Revelation 19:19 – And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Some three and one-half years before the final battle of Armageddon, which closes the tribulation period, ten kings of nations out of the territory once occupied by the ancient Roman Empire will attack Israel from the north.

Daniel 2:42 – And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

II Thessalonians 2:3 – Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The last evil kingdom of antichrist on this earth was to initially be comprised of 10 nations with 10 kings led by the man of sin himself. It was to arise out of the ashes of the old Roman Empire.

I have always believed it would rise out of the southern half of the Empire and be made up of 10 Arab nations. I believe the elements for its formation are in place today, and I suspect that the most likely Arab nations of which it will be comprised are Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. Some of these nations are strong like iron, and some are as soft and pliable as clay.

I do not question that in the final battle of Armageddon the descendants of Ham, Shem, and Japheth will be combatants against the nation of Israel. But I have always contended, along with the Bible expositors of the 18th and 19th centuries, that the antichrist’s initial attack would be led by Arab descendants of Abraham. They are the mingled seed of his oldest son Ishmael with

the seed of the six sons he sired by Keturah, as well as some of the other offspring of his own father Terah. The empire of the antichrist will be an Islamic empire that eventually takes into it other old world nations.

And, in the final great battle of Armageddon, all those nations that made up the world as it was known in A.D. 95 will come against Israel, such that Japheth, Ham, and Shem’s descendants will also be involved.

[42] And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. [43] And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

The 10 toes will consist primarily of Terah’s descendants. Abraham came out of Terah. Out of Abraham came the leaders of the three great monotheistic faiths associated with Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad. And they have always been in conflict. (See Archive Update 78 Diagram)
The inspired word in Daniel 2:43, from which the word “mingled” comes, is ARAB, which means “to interlace or mix.” The “seed of men” refers to non-descendants of the man Abraham, from which both Jews and Arabs descended.

The descendants of Israel have been more likely to marry within the blood line of the man Israel than have the Arabs to marry within their separate bloodlines of Hagar and Keturah, and the Arabs have also intermingled with non-descendants of Abraham more than have the Jews.

Daniel 2:43 – And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

Just as iron and clay do not hold together very long, the 10 Arab nations will only hold together long enough to fulfill God’s end time tribulation period prophecies.

Daniel 2:44 – And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

The God of heaven will call all the saved of all the ages together in heaven during the “days of these kings,” and will initially “set up” his kingdom, from whence he will return to earth with it as its head, after the saved have been judged in heaven. Christ’s coming kingdom will “break in pieces and consume all the kingdoms” of the present world, and his kingdom alone will rule.

Revelation 11:15-18 – And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. [16] And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God, [17] Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned. [18] And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Christ, the stone, came from the mountain representing God, without any human instrumentation, but by God’s Spirit forming his body in a virgin’s womb. Christ will return to destroy those morally destroying the earth. All of the evil that came out of the Babylonian, Medo- Persian, Macedonian, and Roman Empires will be laid waste by his Second Advent.

Daniel 2:45 – Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.

January 12, 2007

The Madrid + 15 Peace Conference concluded Friday with a decision to put the peace train back on track during the first half of 2007.

Spanish President Felipe Gonzalez attributed the failure of the Oslo Accords, which were reached before the PLO had recognized Israel, to the fact that the negotiations

had moved from the private into the public domain before the agreements had become permanent.

He compared the 1991 Madrid Peace Conference to the present one, saying that in 1991, the language had been “tougher than the present language, the distance between the parties was greater and the hope for achieving a true and lasting peace was less.” This time, he said, the language had been more direct and rational.

Gonzalez referred to the 2002 Arab League Initiative as “amazing,” saying he could not believe that the international community had

He asked that the US play a part in the peace process without “too much involvement.”

“The Arab-Israeli issue may or may not be the epicenter of the problem,” said Gonzalez, “but if it is not solved we cannot advance to the other issues.”

Gonzalez quoted [former executive chairman of UNMOVIC] Hans Blix as saying that “traditional methods are useless against the new international terrorism and arms proliferation.”

“The use of force,” said Gonzalez, produces more international terrorism, both present and potential.

EU Foreign Policy Chief Javier Solana, who attended only part of the conference, said that “the moment of action has come.”

“It is imper ative to continue with

a step-by-step approach. [UN Representative] Terje Roed-Larsen has said that the totality is ‘too big,’ so let us take the Israeli-Palestinian issue first,” Solana continued.

Outlining the formula for a successful peace process, Solana, who defined himself as “a friend of Israel and of the Palestinians,” said that the process would need to be “comprehensive,” and include “outside monitoring.”

Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos called upon the international community to “intervene but not impose,” adding that “It is not enough to concentrate on the Palestinian situation while the issues with Syria and Lebanon remain blocked.”

Rice to propose ‘new ideas’ to Abbas

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is set to propose “new ideas” to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas during her trip to the region, according to a statement released by officials from the PA chairman’s office on Friday.

In addition, Abbas is due to suggest an alternate plan for the establishment of a Palestinian state, namely, a temporary state in accordance with the route of the security fence, the officials said.

On Thursday, diplomatic sources said that the US administration was concerned by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s weak public standing and unsure of what or how much he can deliver, on the eve of Rice’s journey.

According to the sources, Olmert’s political woes have undermined his stature in the eyes of the administration, and although he is liked personally in Washington he is not deemed a leader with the

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Thursday: “We have to base our regional strategy on the substantially changed realities of the Middle East. This is a different Middle East. This Middle East is a Middle East in which there really is a new alignment of forces. As Yaakov Lappin indicates in the Ynet News Article, which follows our introduction, many Muslims among the Sunni majority are fearful of what the Shiite Islamic Republic of Iran will do to them when they get a nuclear bomb.

There are some 12 sects among the adherents to the Islamic faith, the vast majority being Sunnis, with the Shiites ranking immediately behind them. The Sunni and most of the other 10 sects are not setting easy with the thought of a “Shiite” bomb, knowing that in the end it could be used against them by this more fanatical Shiite sect of Islam.

This could change when Iran gets a nuclear bomb, and eventually cause several Arab countries to become Republics like Iran. It might be helpful to know about the twelve identifiable sects of Islam – They are as follows.

SUNNIS – Sunnis are Muslims who are considered the more “orthodox” believers. Sunnis follow all of the most traditional beliefs and actions.

SHIITES – The term Shi’a is a shortened form of Shi’at Ali, which means “the party of Ali” – and at the time of Ali’s death in 661, that is probably all it was: a party or tendency of people who supported Ali’ s claim

SUFIS – Sufism is important to the development of Islam because it is in this tradition that the more spiritual and mystical aspects were preserved.

This stands in contrast to the mainstream of Islam which, through its first centuries, was more concerned with the expansion and organization of the general community.

KAHRIJITES – In Arabic, their label means “to go out” – they were, in effect, the first Mulism dissidents and rebels, being present almost from the dawn of Islam. Like later dissidents, they chose to separate themselves from the main body of believers, feeling that the majority of Muslims had lost the “true path.”

WAHHABIS – Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab could be considered the first modern Islamic fundamentalist. He made the central point of his reform movement the idea that absolutely every idea added to Islam after the third century of the Mulsim era was false and should be eliminated.

ISMAILIS – An early Shi’a sect which split from the main group because of a dispute over who should be considered the next Imam.

ZAIDIS – Formed by Zaid, a grandson of Husain, the Zaidis have believed that the true Imam must publicly assert his claim to the title and seek to overthrow the corrupt regime run

by unacceptable rulers.

FRATIMIDS – The Fatimids are a successor movement to the Isma’ilis and are descendants of Fatima and Ali through the line of Isma’il. In the tenth century, those descendants asserted themselves as caliphs in North Africa, and ruled Egypt from 969 to 1171.

NIZARI – This sect is actually very well known around the world, but under a different name: the Assassins.

ALAWIS – Also known as Nusayris, the Alawis are a branch of Isma’ilism which has gone so far along its own path that many Muslims no longer even regard it as a form of Islam. The term Alawis actually just means “followers of Ali,” which is used in some countries to refer to all Shi’a in general.

Some think that they worship Ali as God, but that isn’t entirely accurate.

DRUZE – The Druze comprise another sect which is not widely regarded as being “truly” Muslim. This group diverged from mainstream Islam in the eleventh century when some Isma’ilis started to believe that God became manifest in the personality of a prophet or imam.

BAHAI – Baha’i is another movement which is descended from Islam, but which most Muslims today no longer regard as authentically Islamic.

Sunni Muslims Fear “Shiite Bomb”

Yaakov Lappin (Ynet News)

The Iranian nuclear project will never be viewed as the production of an “Islamic bomb,” but rather a “Shiite bomb,” says Dr. Shmuel Bar, Director of Studies at the Institute for Policy and Strategy at the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya.

In the eyes of some Arab leaders, Shiites can’t be loyal to any Arab country, but will always be loyal to Iran, Bar said.

“Iran’s doctrine of exporting its revolution,” as well as its attempt to gain hegemony over the region, was being perceived “by Sunni Muslims as an attack on Arab Sunnis.”

He cited an argument between the late al-Qaeda leader in Iraq, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, and the al-Qaeda deputy, Ayman Zawahiri, who debated “at what stage in the jihad we should convert the Shiites or kill them all.”

Trying to put a tiger, a lion, and a leopard in a cage, and telling them they have to learn to get along together, is like trying to put the Kurds, Sunnis, and Shiites inside a country with borders, and telling them they have to learn to get along together. A brutal, heartless animal trainer with a gun, gas, and a whip could control the tiger, lion, and leopard.

A brutal, heartless man trainer like Saddam made them get along, using torture and mass murder to control the three sects. It is not possible to build a lasting democracy in Iraq prior to the Second Advent of Christ.
