Please take the time to read the following excerpts from three different Jerusalem Post Articles.

The first paragraph in the Jerusalem Post Article Number 1, in which Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert makes a definite statement as to how Israel will react in the future to repeat performances similar to the one just made by Hizbollah, is setting the stage for a future action.

The Islamic terrorist forces will regroup, and redeploy to different positions in Syria

and Lebanon after a cease fire is obtained. Then they will lick their wounds, and get ready for the “big one” which must eventually occur between ten Arab nations and Islam.

This current event, and the ones like it on several occasions in

the past, will be repeated again in the near future, but when it does Islam will have anticipated what Israel will do based on past performances just like the current one, and will be lying in wait for them to push north, doing the same thing they are doing now. It will be the Jihad of Jihads and Israel will be driven into the Negev, much to her surprise as well as the rest of the western world.

I have never known the exact time of this Jihad, but my guesstimate is that it is most likely to occur at some point in time between 2008 and 2012.

In Article 1, the first and last paragraphs make it very clear that Israel knows the same type of mil

itary action happening now will keep on reoccurring in the future, and that Israel will keep on responding in the same fashion,

and as in the past. This pattern of predictability is the key to the future success of the Islamic Jihad. Israel, the king of the south,

will push north against Syria, the king of the north, and the old prophecy of Daniel 11:40 to 45 will begin to be fulfilled.

Daniel 11:40,41 – And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. [41] He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. ‘Israel Cannot Accept This Situation’

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that the fighting in the north would have “far-reaching implications” on how Israel would relate in the future to the northern border and the entire region.

Olmert, in his first public comments on the situation since Wednesday, opened Sunday’s cabinet meeting saying this is a difficult morning for Israel, and by characterizing the situation as “a wicked war by Hizbullah against the people of Israel.”

“Israel cannot accept this situation,” he said. “We have no interest in harming the Lebanese or Palestinian people. We want to live our lives quietly and as good neighbors.

But unfortunately, there are those who interpreted our desire for peace in the wrong manner.”

Olmert said Israel had no “intention of surrendering in the face of these threats. We know that there will be many more tests, our enemies are trying to disrupt life in Israel, and they will fail.”

Mofaz: Haifa Rocket was Syrian-made

Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz declared on Sunday afternoon that the rocket which hit the train station in Haifa and killed eight was maunfactured by Syria.

“The metal from the missile shows that it was made in Syria…We know that over the last few years, Syria has transferred ammunition to Hizbullah and that is what they used today,” he said after touring the site of the attack.

“Hizbullah is al-Qaeda and Nasrallah is bin Laden” and we have to fight them accordingly, he declared.

Mofaz said the goals of the IDF’s campaign were to push Hizbullah back from the border, impair its capabilities and get back the captured soldiers. He encouraged Lebanese President Fuad Siniora to bring the army to the south.

M ofaz accused Iran and Syria

of providing Hizbullah with weapons.

“Iranians are heavily involved with Hizbullah – they give them guns and money.

Hizbullah is Iran’s proxy. Syria also gave them weapons.”

“Most of what is happening to us now was expected [in the event of a conflict with Hizbullah],” he concluded.

As far as the chances of all their Islamic pals, that gave them the many thous ands of rockets to use against Israel, now coming militarily to the aid of Hizbullah, their leader Nasrallah might as well send a message to the moon asking for troops

and aircraft. Their Arab buddies will not help them with troops and aircraft this time, but ten of them will the next time around. And my guesstimate is that “next time around” will occur at a point in time between 2008 and 2012.

Nasrallah Calls for Aid from Arab World

In a recorded television speech on Sunday evening, Hizbullah head Hassan Nasrallah urged Arab states to come to the organization’s aid.

“Where are the Arab nations?” he asked, moments after declaring that Hizbullah wouldn’t ask for help from anyone.

Speaking to Lebanese civilians, many of whom have expressed anger at Hizbullah’s Wednesday attack in which two Israeli soldiers were kidnapped and which triggered a massive Israeli aerial bombardment of Lebanese infrastructure, Nasrallah affirmed that all damage caused by IDF strikes would be repaired after the battle was won.

“We have friends who have a great ability to help us financially,” he said.

He also urged the Arab world not to believe Israeli claims about the escalating conflict. “The enemy is lying,” he declared, saying the “Zionists” were “managing a psychological war against us.”

What Will Syria and Iran Do to Help Hizbollah? Later, Gator!

Syria and Iran are not going to attack Israel with American troops in Iraq and, quite frankly, they are just not ready at this time, but my guesstimate is that they could be ready at some point in time between 2008 and 2012. Whenever they are ready, the scenario you are now watching will be repeated, but with a dramatically different twist. Once again, for the fourth time, Israel will go into Lebanon to straighten out a new threat.

But on this occasion they will have a large Islamic army poised in northern Syria and Lebanon, ready and waiting to come south and join with the terrorist troublemakers, and Israel will be caught in a trap of cunning Persian design.

Lebanon can be Shut Down for Years’

Lebanon can be “shut down for years, as long as necessary” a senior military official said

over the weekend. He added that the goals of the Israeli blockade of Lebanon were, on a tactical level, to make sure that no rockets could be supplied to Hizbullah, and strategically, to make the government in Beirut take responsibility for its southern border.

The official said the blockade could be maintained “for as long as is necessary to remove the threat of missiles on the State of Israel,” but acknowledged that diplomatic pressure might end it sooner.

Regarding the imminent arrival in

the region of a UN team to work on resolving the crisis, the military official said Israel would only work with the mediators if their paramount objectives were the return of the kidnapped Israeli soldiers and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1559, which calls for Hizbullah to be disarmed and for the Lebanese Army to take control of its southern border.

The feeling within the IDF General Staff is that the Lebanese government will eventually succumb and deploy its army in the south, but that this decision will be made at the political level, under international pressure.

Halutz said Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah had gone “a step too far” in evaluating his organization’s power, and in forecasting Israel’s reaction. “Nasrallah had expected a different response from Israel, he had grown accustomed to a different response from Israel,” Halutz said. He said that there were already signs of criticism of Hizbullah by Lebanese parliamentarians.

Halutz said there was no sign that Syria and Iran would be dragged into the conflict, but added that those who acted against Israel would themselves be acted against. “I see no reason that the Syrians would want to jump into a pool they are liable to drown in,” he said, adding that the IDF has not seen any unusual Syrian military activity in recent days.

The official said the IDF was not acting against the Lebanese government but rather against Hizbullah’s infrastructure. However, the official warned the government in Beirut that “it had a lot to lose” if it did not deploy its forces in the south.

The official said Israel knew that Iran has given Hizbullah a “blank check” regarding weapons supplies and had promised to replenish anything destroyed by Israeli action.

Israel also knew that members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards were active in Hizbullah’s rocket attacks, the official said, including the attack on Israel Navy Ship Hanit off the coast of Lebanon Friday.

The official said that so far, there had been no direct military clashes between the IDF and the Iranian forces in Lebanon.

The IDF has would continue to attack Hizbullah’s missile silos and mobile rocket launching pads in southern Lebanon, the official said, in a long overdue attempt to deal with the strategic threat along the northern border.

He said that by destroying roads and bridges throughout Lebanon, as well as disabling airports, the IDF hoped to prevent Iran and Syria from replenishing Hizbulah’s supply of rockets and launchers in the south.

Not one rocket will make it into Lebanon, the senior IDF official said over the weekend, adding that the Beirut-Damascus highway had been “shut down.” The IDF’s plan was to cut off Hizbullah’s supply line from Syria and Iran, preventing weapons-laden trucks, ships and aircraft from reaching Lebanon, he said. The army was unable to say how long it will take for things to “turn around” and for Hizbullah to start running out of rockets, he said.

Halutz said Hizbullah had missiles with a range of 70 km., “and perhaps a little more.” With that range, the rockets might be able to reach reach Hadera and Netanya. Halutz could not say how many missiles Hizbullah had with that range.

Estimates of the total number of missiles in Hizbullah’s possession in southern Lebanon range from 10,000 to 13,000. The army took into account the very likely possibility that Hizbullah would unleash its rocket arsenal on northern Israel when the IDF responded to the kidnapping by striking Hizbullah’s rocket infrastructure.

“They have enough rockets at this stage to continue firing at Israel,” Halutz said. “Hizbullah has taken on for itself the role of the defender of Lebanon, but in reality, it has become the destroyer of Lebanon,” he said.

Halutz said another reason roads and bridges in Lebanon had been hit was to make it harder for the kidnappers of IDF reservists Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev

to move them within Lebanon or to take theHm out of the country. He said that the latest information Israel had was that the three kidnapped soldiers [including Cpl. Gilad Shalit in Gaza] were alive and in a “reasonable” state of health.

Lebanon PM asks for UN Help to Deploy Army in South

Defense Minister Amir Peretz ordered the Israel Defense Forces Saturday night to step up the rate of attacks against Lebanon. His orders were issued close to the time when Lebanon’s Prime Minister Fouad Siniora made a national address and called for an immediate cease-fire.

Peretz said that the IDF must continue applying pressure on Hezbollah, giving them no room to breathe, and continue expanding its bombing raids elsewhere.

Hours after the order was made, the Israel Air Force indeed launched a wave of bombing raids on the Lebanese capital’s southern suburbs early Sunday, Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV and witnesses said.

A total of some dozen loud explosions shook the capital, much of which was plunged in darkness after warplanes struck power stations and fuel depots feeding them.

The southern suburbs were repeatedly blasted by Israeli warplanes for most of Saturday, but the early Sunday raids were the heaviest since Israel launched its offensive Wednesday in retaliation to the capture of two IDF soldiers by Hezbollah guerillas.

The UN Security Council on Saturday again rejected pleas that it call for an immediate cease-fire between Israel and Lebanon after the United States objected, diplomats said.

Washington argued in closed-door talks that the focus for Middle East diplomacy for now should be on the weekend summit in St. Petersburg of the Group

of Eight industrialized nations, council diplomats said.

The U.S. was the sole member of the 15-nation U.N. body to oppose
any council action at all at this time, they said.

“We would expect much more from the Security Council,” Lebanese Foreign Ministry official Nouhad Mahmoud told reporters after the council meeting, singling out the U.S. for blame.

Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora called Saturday for an immediate cease-fire with Israel, and asked for help in deploying the country’s army in the south, from where Hezbollah has for days pounded northern Israel with Katyusha rockets.

“We call for an immediate cease-fire backed by the United Nations,” said Siniora in an address to the nation.

“We call to broaden the state’s control over all of its territory, in cooperation with United Nations forces, in southern Lebanon.”

Siniora also called on Lebanon to “work to recover all Lebanese territories and exercising full sovereignty of the state over those territories,” Saniora said in a televised address to the nation.

His voice cracking with emotion, Saniora criticized Hezbollah without naming the group, saying Lebanon “cannot rise and get back on its feet if its government is the last to know.”

“The government alone has the legitimate right to decide on matters of peace and war because it represents the will of the Lebanese people,” he said.

He said the IDF assault, sparked by the Hezbollah abduction of two of its soldiers Wednesday, had devasted his country, and called for international aid.

The Lebanese army is about 70,000 strong, equipped with American, French and Russian weapons but virtually no air force.

The Lord Always Knows Best!

Last February I decided to make one last trip to Israel while I was still able to do so, or so I thought! I sent out the e-mail, which follows. I immediately started to get in shape

to make the trip. At first I walked a mile a day, them a mile and a half, then two miles, and it seemed all was on schedule. But then I began to be short of breath, and soon I was down to a mile, then half a mile, and then zilch. So I cancelled the trip in April and sent everyone back their deposits. I have now undergone an extensive series of tests and it has been discovered I have narrowing of the arteries.

I have another appointment with Doctor Henry on July 20th. My brother Gary has the same problem and has five stints in his arterial structure. At present that seems to be the path I will trod.

I told you all that to say this – THE LORD ALWAYS KNOWS BEST – if I had been able to take the tour group to Israel we would have been up to our neck in alligators. We would have been near Haifa when they were hit, and traveling through the zone leading to Tiberias, which has been peppered with Hizbollah rockets this week.

Yesterday, we would have been in Tiberias and the Golan Heights. The Hizbollah have pelted the area from Haifa to Tiberias with more than 1300 rockets in the last four days, which is a drop in the bucket to what they have left in southern Lebanon in safe places. I wanted to get the trip in before 2008 for obvious reasons.

As you can see from Archive Prophecy Update Number 89A, which we issued in 2002, I knew Hizbollah had a fantastic arsenal of rockets, and I knew they would eventually unleash them against Israel, but I really thought we could get the trip in before they did.

However, the Lord knew what would happen, and, just as he did in Vietnam, delivered me from the alligators.

Home Front Command evacuates Kinneret Beaches

For the first time since the 1973 Yom Kippur War, the city of Tiberias, located some 35 kilometers south of the Lebanese border on the western bank of the Sea of Galilee, came under a rocket attack on Saturday. Tiberias is located outside the area that

the IDF predicted would be hit by Katyushas.

Three of the six Katyusha rockets fired at the city by Hizbullah landed in residential areas, including two that hit apartment building. One landed near the Club Hotel resort, and one landed 15-20 meters away a gas station. Three people were wounded in the attack.

The Home Front Command was urging residents and visitors in the city to take cover in protected areas.

At least one person was suffering from shock and evacuated to Poriya Hospital, while residents were told to enter shelters and fortified rooms. Local police were patrolling the vacation spot’s beaches and promenades on Saturday afternoon, urging bathers to heed the Home Front Command’s instructions and remain inside fortified rooms.

Moshav Kfar Hitim, near Tiberias, along with Migdal, Evron, and Abu Snan in the western Galilee were also hit.

Storing Weaponry for a Future Surprise Islamic Jihad Blitzkrieg

According to senior Israeli and Western officials,

the Hezbollah militants in southern Lebanon have already amassed thousands of missiles of the surface to surface variety, and among them those that can strike at major cities in northern Israel. And, even more alarming, they are continuing to flow into southern Lebanon at an alarming rate. I believe they are for a future surprise Jihad after a false peace has finally come to Israel, and are being stored primarily for that purpose.

Most of Hezbollah’s rockets have been provided by Iran, being flown to the Syrian capital, Damascus, then driven by truck

to southern Lebanon, but Syria has recently begun to send rockets of its own, and the missile buildup effort has intensified in the last year. Hezbollah has occasionally launched a few rockets against Israeli military targets just across the border this year, primarily to keep the pressure on Israel while avoiding a major military confrontation with it. They know that Israel does not want to open up a second front while combating internal terrorist groups and waiting for a possible U.S. strike against Iraq.

Hezbollah has accumulated 8,000 to 9,000 smaller Katyusha rockets, which have a range of up to 12 miles. According to Israeli and Western officials. But over the past year Iran has begun to provide them with a variety of longer range systems, including the 240mm Fajre-3 missile, which has a range of some 24 miles, and the 333mm Fajr missile, which has a range of some 42 miles, making it capable of striking the northern Israeli port city of Haifa, and all the Israeli cities in Galilee. Hezbollah also has several hundred Fajr rockets. Additionally, Syria has begun to provide them with 222mm rockets that have a range of up to 18 miles.

I believe that the bulk of all this weaponry, which is continuing to be brought into Lebanon, will eventually be used against Israel after a false period of peace.

Israel is currently doing all it can to destroy the large arsenal of rockets possessed by Hizbollah, and I believe they will

destroy most of them, but they will be replenished before the time frame of 2008 to 2012, and my guesstimate is that they will be unleashed without reservation at some point between these two dates, in conjunction with a massive southward moving Jihad against Israel. As I have previously stated, what we are currently seeing is a preview of coming attractions, which will be much worse than we can now visualize, but will come into full view when the Jihad is finally launched. The ten toes of Daniel’s chapter 2 statue are not ready militarily or politically to start a full scale war with Israel, but my guesstimate is that they will be at some point in time between 2008 and 2012.

The next time that Israel repeats this current episode, she will find a ten toed Islamic gorilla waiting for her when she crosses her northern border.

Why the Jihad Attack against Israel Will Succeed!

When Israel is eventually attacked by ten Arab nations from the north, she will be driven into the Negev.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Two-thirds of her population will perish during the Jihad and one-third will remain in the land in the wilderness of the Negev.

Zechariah 13:8 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

The City of Jerusalem will be captured by the Islamic armies, where they will remain for three and one-half years while Israel is in the Negev with the two witnesses.

Zechariah 14:1,2 – Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. [2] For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Revelation 11:2,3 – But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. [3] And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

The Scriptures up to this point are the only reason I know that Israel will be defeated temporarily for some three and on-half years. And, to be quite candid, the Scriptures are the only reason I have to believe it. If you want to accuse me of basing everything I have written on the Scriptures, I will freely admit you’re accusation is valid. After all, just how could I believe the forces of Islam would be able to defeat mighty Israel after having lost to her over and over and over again in countless skirmishes and four wars since 1948, and why won’t the IAF be able to mow down the ground forces like shooting ducks in a gallery with a shot gun? I have addressed the answer to this question in several different Prophecy Updates, Birth Pangs, or Blogs, but we have issued thousands.

So, I considered how long it took me to find the first one, and then decided to include it, and repeat parts I could not find, but remembered were in others.

The Remnant of Israel, Past, Present, and Future!

Part 6

Revelation 12:14 – And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

The woman is Israel.

The place that God has prepared for her is the Negev wilderness. A time is one 360 day year, times are two 360 day years, and half a time is 180 days, which totals 1260 days or 3 and ½ prophetic years. Both these scriptures describe the time period of 42 prophetic months (30 days per month) before the end of the Tribulation Period.

When the antichrist launches his lightning Jihad from the north it will be a two pronged attack. Syrian and Lebanese troops will launch a blitzkrieg strike southward along the western lees of the Galilean and Samaritan Mountains. The Palestinians will zoom northward along the western lee of the Judean Mountains out of Gaza to link with their comrades coming down from the north. This will cut off coastal Israel from interior Israel. Some 70% of the Jewish population lives along the narrow coastal strip from Tel Aviv to Haifa. They will be kept pinned down by thousands of katyusha rockets being launched from the bluff top cities of Tul Karm and Qalqilya in the Samarian Mountains. It will eventually be necessary to air evacuate the population out of this area across the Mediterranean into the Negev, as stated in 12:14. The other battle prong, consisting of troops from Iraq, Syria, and Iran, will be directed southward along the west bank of the Jordan River in a lightning strike. The Palestinians will pour down the hundreds of dendritic valleys in the eastern lee

of the Samarian Mountains, armed with shoulder held antitank launchers. They will destroy many of the Israeli tanks coming north to intercept the southward moving Arab tank units of Syria, Iraq, and Iran. The Jewish population to the east of the coastal sections, and to the west of the Jordan River, will flee on land in whatever types of transportation may be available. This has long been the national Israel contingency plan that is to be carried out in the event of attack from the north, and the Negev has been their emergency contingency evacuation area since 1948. End Birth Pang Number 41`

As you may recall from many of our Archive Prophecy Updates, Birth Pangs, and Blogs, I have taught for years the great earthquake found in Revelation 6:12, the first in the Book of Revelation, will occur when the Jihad is launched from Lebanon and Syria. This earthquake, and the hundreds of aftershocks that accompany it, will severely damage Israeli aircraft and airfield runways, such that severe curtailment of the IAF to inflict heavy casualties on enemy troops and tanks will result. When considering the tectonic fault lines that cross the sea surfaces northwest of Israel, it is possible that tsunamis may make the coastal sections of Israel quite hazardous for Israeli naval gunboats.

And the atmospheric and astronomical conditions don’t look favorable for anything other than chaos.

Revelation 6:12-16 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; [13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. [14] And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

[15] And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Ezekiel 38:16-23 – And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes. [17] Thus saith the Lord God; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them

? [18] AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS AT THE SAME TIME WHEN GOG SHALL COME AGAINST THE LAND OF ISRAEL, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face. [19] For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, SURELY IN THAT DAY THERE SHALL BE A GREAT SHAKING IN THE LAND OF ISRAEL; [20] So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains

shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

Isaiah 29:6 – Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

There is going to be such chaos on the ground across all of Israel that Israeli aircraft are going to have a hard time separating out, from many entangled opposing forces, which are theirs and which are the enemies.

The same will be true for offshore shelling from Israeli ships and army land artillery.

Many Israeli civilians and soldiers will be the victims of friendly fire.

This is going to be a conventional “grunt” war and the Islamic forces will win by the weight of sheer numbers of weaponry and manpower.

Hamas and Hizbollah Bite off More than They Can Chew!

As I have pointed out in previous Blogs, the 10 Arab toes of Chapter 2 in Daniel are not yet militarily equipped, nor politically united, to start a full blown war with Israel, but I guesstimate they will be at some point in time between 2008 and 2012. Eventually, they will be ready to defeat Israel, and my best estimate for them to make their move is in this time frame. Scripture indicates Israel will be attacked, so on that point I am certain it will occur, and a full blown war with ten nations will occur, but “when” has always been the question that will not be specifically answered until the day it occurs. As to the question of “when,” the only reason I guesstimate a time span is to encourage believers to understand that it is near, and to not be caught asleep like unbelieving Israel in its current state of spiritual darkness.

I Thessalonians 5:3-6 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. [4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

[5] Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. [6] Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Hebrews 10:25 – Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much

the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Out of all the current hostility there will be realized a growing sense of confidence in Israel that the IDF and IAF can handle any situation that arises along its borders, while the Arabs will have learned they are not yet ready or sufficiently united in purpose or ability to wage war with Israel at present. Hopefully, Hamas, Hizbollah, Islamic Jihad, Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades, and the other extremist groups, will have learned from this current episode the impossibility of driving Israel out of the land from Dan to Beersheba by rockets and kidnappings. These kinds of actions merely irritate powerful Israel, and strengthen their resolve to keep on crushing there enemies over and over again.

It will require patience, cunning, deceit, and a false peace on their part to ever succeed against Israel.

So, Israel will eventually honor a cease fire, and some sort of agreement will be reached to temporarily stop the rocket attacks and attempts to kidnap Israeli soldiers. However, a cease fire will not occur until Israel believes it has once again proven its point – We will only take so much. It will be a similar performance that leads to the attack that begins the last three and one-half years of great tribulation before Armageddon. Syrian and terrorist allies will conduct rocket launches against Israel, but on this future occasion, it will only be a ruse to cause Israel to once again do its thing to teach them a lesson.

And, when Israel crosses its northern border, it will find a united Jihad army poised to drive Israel south into the Negev.

Syria certainly does not want a war with Israel at this time, nor do the other nine toes of Daniel 2 at the present time, as the first article from the Jerusalem Post attests. And Israel has no plan to stop its attack against Hizbollah and Lebanon until it believes it has reached its goals in having launched it, as the Haaretz article attests.

Daniel 11:40,41 – And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and

shall overflow and pass over. [41] He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and

Syria Calls for Hizbullah Cease Fire

In a significant move, the Syrian ambassador to London, in an interview with the BBC, called on Hizbullah to stop firing missiles at Israel.

“Syria is not interested in joining the battle,” the ambassador said. He also asked Hizbullah to come to an arrangement that would include exchanging prisoners.

Saudi Arabia, the Arab world’s political heavyweight and economic powerhouse, also caught international attention by accusing Hizbullah guerrillas – without naming them – of “uncalculated adventures” that could precipitate a new Middle East crisis.

A Saudi official quoted by the state Saudi Press Agency said the Lebanese Hizbullah’s brazen capture of two Israeli soldiers was not legitimate.

The kingdom “clearly announces that there has to be a differentiation between legitimate resistance (to Israel) and uncalculated adventures.”

The Saudi official said Hizbullah’s actions could lead to “an extremely serious situation which could subject all Arab nations and its achievements to destruction.”

“The kingdom sees that it is time for those elements to alone shoulder the full responsibility for this irresponsible behavior and that the burden of ending the crisis falls on them alone.”

Saudi Arabia’s comments on the crisis came after most moderate Arab governments reacted with relative restraint to Israel’s offensive in Lebanon, condemning attacks on civilians and infrastructure but also implicitly criticizing Hizbullah.

Olmert to Annan: Operation will end after Hezbollah is Disarmed

Israel will not end its military operation in Lebanon until the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1559, which calls for disarming Hezbollah and deploying the Lebanese army in southern Lebanon, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert told UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on Friday.

Annan informed Olmert that he was sending a UN team to the region. Olmert said he would cooperate with the team only if its objective would be to return the Israel Defense Forces soldiers abducted by Hezbollah and the full implementation of Resolution 1559.

Olmert will hold consultations Friday with Vice Premier Shimon Peres, Defense Minister Amir Peretz, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, Public Security Minister Avi Dichter, Industry and Trade Minister Eli Yishai and Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz.

Sources in Jerusalem stated Thursday that as a condition for a ce

ase-fire, Israel would demand that Hezbollah outposts be removed from the Israel-Lebanon border and that a buffer zone be created on the Lebanese side of the border. According to the sources, the aim of Operation Just Reward is to alter the balance of power between Israel and Hezbollah.

Sources in Jerusalem believe it will be difficult to demand the implementation of resolution 1559 as a condition for a cease-fire. Israel will also demand the release of the two soldiers abducted by Hezbollah earlier this week.
