Some of the bloodiest wars in history have been religious wars. They tend to be the bloodiest because both sides are convinced their God is with them, and the side that is the most fanatical in its belief usually has the greatest lust for blood and vengeance.

If a man were to show up in the Middle East with the proper lineage to suit the Islamic teachings of the characteristics of the Islamic Mahdi, it would throw the Muslim word into a religious frenzy greater that non-Muslims can comprehend. The devotion of the Japanese suicide bombers would be embodied by most of the world’s Islamic population.

The three usurps which follow were extracted from different sources, and all contain the same basic statement that the President of Iran is expecting the Mahdi to come on the scene around 2008, which I found to be interesting, particularly since my guesstimate for the Islamic attack against Israel to occur is at some point in time between 2008 and 2012.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a religious fanatic who truly believes that the coming of the Twelfth Imam, for him the coming of the true Messiah, is due to come within two years when the world, according to his belief, after a time of cosmic chaos, bloodshed, war, and famine.

Ahmadinejad is known to be very keen about the Hidden Imam. He has allocated huge funds for a mosque in Jamkaran (near Qom) to encourage believers to visit the place and put their wishes addressed to the Hidden Imam in writing and put them through the two wells made especially for that purpose (segregated for men and women). He even prayed for his early return at the United Nations last September and promised the world leaders a bright world when he comes.

He is also been quoted that the return of the 12th Imam could happen in the matter of “two years”. That was last summer.

And so by his reckoning, the world may see the return of the Hidden Imam by the middle of next year.

Iran, Iraq and the Golden Mosque by Ron Fraser

All streams of Islam believe in a messiah-like divine savior, the Mahdi, who, their tradition has it, will appear before the Day of Judgment. Prior to the bombing of the al Askari Mosque, there were at least two locations, according to Shia Muslim tradition, to where the Mahdi of Shia Islam, the Twelfth Imam, could return and bring the whole world under Islamic rule. One was the Golden Mosque in Samarra, Iraq, where he was reputed to have been last sighted going into hiding in a cellar in that mosque in A.D. 878. The other is the Jamkaran Mosque in Qum, Iran.

It is this Iranian Muslim icon into which President Ahmadinejad recently sunk a considerable sum of money to prepare it for the return of his Mahdi, which event he has personally predicted will occur within two years’ time. It is from the Jamkaran Mosque that Ahmadinejad has preached some of his most vociferous words of hate against the West and against all Jewry. The place has a special fascination for this fellow.

With the destruction of the Golden Mosque, Islam’s focus on where the Mahdi will supposedly return is no longer divided over two locations.

Only one of the two traditional locations now stands intact! That mosque lies in the nation which is the chief sponsor of global terror—now led by an Islamic religious zealot with a dangerous sense of nuclear-powered divine mission.

Ahmadinejad is motivated to empower pan-Islam into a grand crusading uprising in his effort to prepare the world for the return of his messiah. He is convinced the Mahdi will return to the soil of the nation from which he believes the new millennium will dawn: ancient Persia—Iran. To achieve that end, he certainly has the mentality that would lead him to sacrifice that which he regarded as an inferior Shiite icon, the Golden Mosque in Iraq, to raise the profile of his icon, Jamkaran in Iran, and in the process, pitch Muslim against Muslim in Iraq to achieve his perverse and demented goals.

The blowing up of the Golden Mosque has all

the hallmarks of such a devious mind being behind it.

Opps Number 2 – There Goes Another Rubber Tree Plant!

I chose Turkey as one of the 10 toes of Daniel 2 a few years ago, and was quickly reminded that could not happen because the 10 toes were European nations and Turkey was a part of NATO, but I knew when push came to shove that Turkey would follow its Islamic roots to be

one of the 10. I chose Iraq as one of the 10 toes 32 years ago. When the United States invaded Iraq I was again quickly told that eliminated Iraq, because the United States was going to establish a democratic government in Iraq, which I knew would only last as long as American troops were there and, after their withdrawal, Iraq would be one of the 10.

So, here is my second “Opps” Blog on the subject of the 10. The 10 toes are going to be Arabic, not European!

Turkey: Pullout from NATO Exercise

The Turkish government pulled out of a five-week NATO milit

ary exercise in Canada to protest a statement by Prime Minister Stephen Harper last month in which he called the killing of Armenians in World War I a genocide. The move followed Turkey’s recall of its ambassador to Canada.

Turkey has also recalled its ambassador to France to protest a bill before Parliament that would make denying the Armenian genocide a crime. Officials at the Turkish Embassy in Canada confirmed that a half-dozen Turkish jet fighters and other aircraft to be used in the NATO exercise had been withdrawn.

The operation, to begin next week, will go on with about 40 aircraft and pilots from nine other countries, including the United States, Germany, France and Britain.

Why did I Chose Sudan but not Saudi Arabia as a Daniel 2 Toe?

I chose Sudan as one of the 10 toes many years ago because of Daniel 11:43. I did not select Saudi Arabia because of Ezekiel 38:13. People who know me very well will tell you how methodical and thorough I am in

all that I present in prophecy. I retired as a synoptic analyst from the National Security Administration, USAF Branch, at Fort George G. Meade. I believe all Scripture is 100 percent accurate, so the problem I face is this – What is the correct interpretation? I make mistakes in interpretation. I have made them in the past and will make them in the future until the Lord comes for me. I apply all I have learned as an analyst to the Scriptures, and then tell you either “I don’t know,” or “here is what I believe it means.” But if I learned nothing else in the agency, I learned this – Don’t ride a dead horse out of pride! When you are wrong, admit it, and go back to the drawing board. Thus far I have found nothing to dissuade me from what I have believed for the last 32 years concerning the 10 toes of the great Daniel 2 statue. In fact, all that I see happening in the Middle East supports that conclusion.

I have never included Saudi Arabia as one of the 10 toes because of Ezekiel 38:13, as you may read in this extract from our Archives, which follows.

Ezekiel 38:13 – Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

Verse 13 mentions three other descendants which were not mentioned previously as being among the horde that attacked Israel, namely, Sheba, Dedan, and Tarshish. Sheba and Dedan settled in the land we know as Saudi Arabia, later colonizing across the Red Sea in the horn we know today as Ethiopia. Tarshish is much harder to nail down to a specific location. The descendants of Tarshish were sea merchants who became the peoples of the Mediterranean Sea coast. The headquarters of the descendants of Tarshish is now generally accepted by most biblical authorities as a district in the south of Spain where the city of Tartessus once existed. The merchants of Tarshish scattered their descendants in village settlements along most of the coastal sections of Europe.

I am persuaded that Europe represents the descendant offspring of Tarshish. It is quite possible that God may look upon the rest of Western Civilization as being the offspring (descendants) of Europe (“the young lions thereof”). The countries of the New World became the “melting pot” of Europe. It is very interesting what Saudi Arabia, Europe, and the rest of Western Civilization have to say to Gog about his attack on Israel: “Art thou come to take a spoil? Hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? To carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?” This is no more or less than the perfect description of a diplomatic protest to Gog’s actions. When the anti-Christ and his armies roar south into Israel in a blitzkrieg lightning strike, the rest of the free world will protest, protest, protest – and do nothing about it. The Antichrist will take Jerusalem within a few days after his initial strike in the north, and within three weeks most of Israel will have fled into the Negev south of Beersheba, where she will remain for some three and one-half years. Jerusalem will fall and only one-third of Israel’s population will make it safely into the Negev.

Zechariah 14:1,2 – Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. [2] For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thous and two hundred

and threescore days.

Zechariah 13:8 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

I did select Sudan as one of the 10 toes because at one time the ancient Roman Empire extended across Egypt’s southern border into biblical Ethiopia, whose northern sections became Sudan when the British left in 1965. The population of Sudan is more than 70 percent Sunni, and they are a well known terrorist supporting nation.

Daniel 11:43 – But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

The three most “precious things” in Egypt are: the Suez Canal, the Nile River and its Delta, and Cairo, its capital.

He will conquer the Suez Canal zone and all of Egypt. So just what is Egypt

? Many are inclined to establish it as the land bordered on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, on the west by Libya, on the south by Sudan, on the southeast by the Red Sea, and on the northeast by its Sinai border with Gaza and Israel’s Negev. And, geographically, that is quite correct. However, in reality, that is not Egypt. The real Egypt, where her people live, is much, much, smaller.

Egypt is the land along her north and east coastlines up to about two miles inland, the Nile Delta, and the land along the Nile River extending about fifteen miles either side of its banks.

The Antichrist will send messages to leaders of two of the original 10 nations confederated with him, namely Libya and Sudan, requesting them to mass their troops along the northern coastal border with Libya, and along the border where the Nile enters Egypt from Sudan. This will cause the diversion of some Egyptian troops away from Cairo and the Suez Canal in order to protect their western and southern borders. And this will allow the antichrist to rapidly push across the Suez Canal into Cairo and along her western and eastern coastlines, then to quickly progress southward down the Nile with little resistance.

I believe he will control Egypt within two weeks after he reaches the Suez Canal.

Once he has conquered Egypt, he will make an assessment of his geopolitical position.

After having done so, he would be a military fool to return to his home country.

He will establish his capital at Cairo, and will remain there for more than three years.

After three years he will receive news that causes him to quickly return to Jerusalem.

If a military leader plans to put down his roots for a while, what would be one of his major concerns? The relationship he has with the rulers of the nations that are on his immediate borders.

That is, how sure he is they will not pull a surprise attack on him. So, through the prestigious position he has gained in the eyes of the Islamic world by this time, it will allow him to use the terrorist groups, already in Sudan and Libya, to overthrow their leaders, and in their place to install two of his stooges, where they will remain in control for some three years. He will already have plucked up the ruler of Lebanon, and replaced him with a stooge. It will surprise me if Lebanon, Sudan, and Libya are not the countries from which his stooges

will rule.

DEBKAfile’s security sources report the ongoing routine of illicit Sudanese infiltrations into the southern Israeli Negev, shepherded by any of three local smuggling rings: the Palestinian gang headed by Jamal Samhadan, the Hamas government’s new appointee as commander of its security forces, Sudanese-Egyptian crime organizations and al Qaeda’s Sinai network.

All three are readily available to operate under the orders of the Iranian RG intelligence officers posted in Sudan.

Livni Denies Reported Pullout Deadline

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni on Wednesday denied reports claiming that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s convergence plan was set to begin within six months.

Referring to Olmert’s speech on Tuesday, Livni said it only addressed the route of Israel’s final borders, but not the timeframe during which the withdrawal would take place.

Olmert’s speech before an international conference of mayors indicated that time was limited.

“If we wait a month, two months, three months, half a year and we don’t see any change,” he said, “then most likely we are going to move forward even without an agreement, without negotiations, in order to define the borders which are acceptable for Israel.”

The speech, Livni said, “Was not setting a deadline for the implementation of the convergence.”

In an interview with Army Radio, the foreign minister noted that there were many preparations that needed to be made before executing the plan, including talks

with world leaders.

Still, fellow Kadima member Justice Minister Haim Ramon said that the government would give the Hamas-led Palestinian Authority until the end of the year to negotiate, but after that Israel would take matters into its own hands.

“Through the end of this year, 2006, there will be honest attempts to talk to the other side,” he told Army Radio.

“If it becomes clear by the end of the year that we really have no partner, and the international community is also convinced of this, then we will take our fate into our own hands and not leave our fate in the hands of our enemies,” he added.

He suggested that the plan would be complete and Israel’s borders would be finalized by 2008.

I Chose the 10 Toes Based on Scripture – Not on Current Events!

When many modern day writers popularized the teaching that the ten toes of Daniel 2 would come out of the six European Common Market nations, which came out of World War 11 and the Marshal Plan, I was assured by these writers that when four European nations joined it, the Antichrist would arise in Europe shortly thereafter, and the prophecies of Daniel 2 & 7 plus Revelation 13, 17 & 18 would begin to be fulfilled. I would estimate that more than 95 percent of those who taught on the subject of prophecy jumped on this bandwagon. I am amazed the ones who popularized this teaching are still the most popular teachers on the media and how many who have presented this teaching, some for more than forty years, are still on a modified bandwagon and will not jump off of it. They stay on it in spite of the fact the Daniel statue now has 25 toes and the European Union is scared of its own shadow, because of being populated by vast hoards of Islamic believers who riot at the drop of a hat, plus a fear of losing their oil sources.

Thirty years ago I said that Jordan and Egypt would not be a part of the ten Arab toes that initially attacked Israel to begin the 1260 days of tribulation period. I was told that if I did believe the ten toes would be Arab nations, then I should at least include Jordan and Egypt among them.

I simply told those who said this to me – read Daniel 11:41,42.

Many of the very popular writers of the fifties and sixties took current events

at that time and worked them into the Bible. I take the Bible and attempt to fit it into current events. There is a big difference.

The Bible is always correct, so if the Bible says so and so, and the current events match the Bible, then I point this out. Current events do not validate the Bible, the Bible validates current events. The following extract from our Prophecy Update Archives is what I have always said would cause Jordan and Egypt not to be among the ten toes that will initially attack Israel.

Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran will move rapidly southward through the “glorious land” of Israel like a fast moving thunderstorm, bypassing the land where the people of Moab, Ammon, and Edom were settled when Daniel wrote his prophecies in about 600 B.C. The descendants of Edom (Jacob’s brother), and Ammon and Moab (the sons of Lot), as found on every published map for this time period, were settled immediately to the south east,

east, and northeast of the Dead Sea, precisely in the country we know as Jordan today.

Hence, we can know that the antichrist will bypass Jordan as he moves south through Israel. Why would he bypass Jordan

? She has no strategic, political, or eco

nomic advantage to offer him, but the Suez Canal and Egypt do, so he will head southwest toward that area after having driven the woman Israel into the Negev Wilderness south of Beersheba.

Jordan would be of great value to radical Islam before the Jihad attack, if they could take over the country, but of little use if they fail to do so.

Government spokesman Nasser Joudeh said details of the plot were revealed during interrogations of 20 Hamas militants arrested by security forces last month.

“The security forces believe there are more weapons and rocket launchers that have not been uncovered yet….Among the weapons seized recently were Iranian rocket launchers,” he said.

Joudeh said a team headed by Tareq Abu Rajab, the Palestinian intelligence chief, was shown hard evidence to back up Amman’s claims against Hamas.

The government said it would soon televise confessions by Hamas activists.
