Both Hamas and Fatah are desperate for a return of the welf

are billions that have kept the graft ridden Palestinian government afloat since its inception.

Don’t be surprised if they attempt to use the Prisoner’s National Reconciliation Document (PNRD) as the backdrop to reach their objective. It is possible that Bad Fatah may get Ugly Hamas to eventually agree to the PNRD after lengthy negotiations and, in so doing, make Good Israel look like the meanest man in Poker Flats for refusing to accept it.

I don’t know why Hamas won’t accept it! They don’t have to recognize the existence of Israel as a state having the right to be in the Middle East nor denounce or stop their terrorist activities. And they can have all Palestinian refugees return to their former homes. There is no way under heaven that Israel would accept these terms, and both Hamas and Fatah know it.

But if they present it to Israel, knowing Israel cannot, and will not, accept it, such a rejection in the eyes of some of the nations that stopped funding after Hamas took power, could use it as an excuse to restart the welfare payments. In such a case the roles in the eyes of the international community could be reversed in some cases, making Israel the Bad and the Ugly, and Hamas and Fatah the Goody-Two-Shoes boys from Happy Land Ranch.

The Prisoners’ National Reconciliation Document

The Palestinian prisoner’s document, which was published earlier this month, was drafted by leaders of various Palestinian factions currently being held in Israeli jails.

The 18-point document, known as the National Reconciliation Document, calls for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem, and stresses the right of return for all refugees to their original homes.

The document also calls for the establishment of a new body to coordinate attacks on Israelis within the 1967 borders.

It carries the signatures of Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti, Hamas’s Abdel Khalek al-Natsheh, Deputy-head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Abdel Rahim Malouh, Mustafa Badarneh of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine and Sheikh Bassam al-Sa’di of Islamic Jihad.

Following is a loose translation of the document’s points:

1. The Palestinian people in the homeland and abroad are seeking to liberate their lands and achieve freedom, the right of return and independence, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital on all the territories occupied in 1967.

2. Developing and reactivating the PLO in line with the 2005 Cairo agreement [between Palestinian factions] by incorporating Hamas and Islamic Jihad into the PLO, which is the sole and legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.

3. The Palestinian people maintain the right to stick to the option of resistance in various methods. Resistance operations should be restricted to the lands that were occupied in 1967, together with political and diplomatic work.

4. The formulation of a comprehensive plan

for political moves on the basis of Palestinian national consensus and Arab summit and United Nations resolutions, the PLO platform and fair international proposals.

5. Protecting and consolidating the Palestinian Authority as the core of the future Palestinian state. The higher national interest requires respecting the temporary constitution of the PA, existing laws and the powers of the elected president and government.

6. The establishment of a national unity government for all parliamentary factions, especially Fatah and Hamas.

7. The PLO and its president are responsible for peace negotiations that will be conducted on the basis of adhering to

and achieving the national goals of the Palestinians. Any fateful agreement will be brought before the Palestine National Council or to a public referendum for approval.

8. The liberation of all Palestinian prisoners and detainees held by Israel is a sacred duty and should be achieved by all means.

9. Doubling efforts to help the refugees and defend their rights and the formation of a popular body

to emphasize the right of return and the need to stick to it.

10. The establishment of a united resistance front that will be called the Palestinian Resistance Front to lead the struggle against occupation.

11. Abiding by democracy and holding free

and fair elections for the presidency, the parliament and municipalities.

12. Condemning and rejecting the Israeli and US siege on the Palestinian people and calling on the Arabs to support the PA and the PLO.

13. Promoting Palestinian unity and rallying behind the PA, the president, the PLO

and government.

14. Renouncing all forms of dissension and internal strife and banning the use of weapons in internal conflicts and assaults on individuals and property.

15. Searching for ways to improve the participation of our people in the Gaza Strip in achieving freedom and independence.

16. Reforming and developing the Palestinian security forces so that they will be able to defend the homeland and the citizens and face Israeli aggression and enforce law and order.

17. Calling on the Palestinian Legislative Council to pass laws reorganizing the security forces and banning security pers

onnel from political and factional activity.

18. Boosting the efforts and role of international solidarity movements and peace-loving groups that support our people’s just struggle against Israeli occupation, settlements and the racist separation wall.

One Way or the other, a Palestinian State is coming into Existence!

We are floating down a river of no return into a false peace maintained by the military might of Israel. It is the only kind of peace that can be achieved in Israel prior to the Second Advent of Christ, and it must be temporary in nature. It should come into place in Israel in 2008, but it is likely to be broken by an Islamic Jihad attack against Israel from the north at some point in time before 2012.

‘Palestinians’ Will Get a State, Regardless

But Bush Cool on Idea of Unilateral Surrender

The message out of Washington Tuesday was that while the US and Israel would like to see the Palestinian Arabs become true partners for peace, the latter will be given the state they demand regardless of whether they fully recognize Israel and stop murdering Jews or not.

Meeting for the first time with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in that elevated position, US President George W.

Bush was said to have given his tacit approval to the so-called “convergence” or “realignment” plan should a viable “Palestinian” peace partner not emerge in the coming six-to-nine months.

Said Bush at a joint press conference following the meeting:

“Our preferred option, of course, is there to be a negotiated settlement.

On the other hand, as the prime minister said, that if he is unable to find a partner in peace, if nothing can go forward, he is willing to think about ways to advance the process forward.”

In a manner reminiscent of Ariel Sharon playing up less-than-enthusiastic support for his “disengagement” plan, Olmert said Bush had responded to his initiative in a “very clear and remarkable way.”

Olmert and his government believe that by handing over Judea and Samaria to a Hamas-led Palestinian Authority not interested in peace with Israel, they can somehow bring the nation increased security and lessen friction with the Arabs and the international community over the so-called “occupation.”

Bush, on the other hand, sees Olmert’s withdrawal plan, like Sharon’s diseng agement before it,

as a means of jump-starting the all-but-dead Road Map peace plan.

But rather than jump start the peace process, Sharon’s disengagement from the Gaza Strip and northern Samaria led to the electoral victory of Hamas, making true peace more distant than ever. Many Israelis expect similar results from Olmert’s policies.

Hamas-Damascus spokesman Mohammed Nazzal says his movement will not be blackmailed into bowing to Abbas’ program by a referendum ultimatum

DEBKAfile notes that the Abbas program does not provide for peace with, or direct recognition of, Israel or an end to the Palestinian war of terror. Mahmoud Abbas gave Hamas 10 days to endorse the Prisoners Covenant, which offers to accept a full Israeli withdrawal to pre-1967 lines, the foundation of a Palestinian state whose capital is Jerusalem and claims the Palestinian refugees’ right of return.

Hamas is required to honor all previous Palestinian-Israeli accords.

However Palestinian “resistance” (terror) will be allowed to continue – albeit in a different guise. It must be restricted to Israelis present on the West Bank – and the terrorists must refrain from attacking the Jewish state within its pre-1967 borders.

If the ruling Hamas turns this program down,

Abu Mazen threatens to call a referendum in 40 days to obtain popular ratification of the Prisoners Covenant as the declared and agreed policy of the Palestinian Authority . He slapped the ultimatum down at a National Discourse among the Palestinian factions Thursday, May 25.

Hamas-Damascus turned it out down Friday.

DEBKAfile’s political analysts add: On the face of it, the Abbas initiative looks like a step towards boxing Hamas in to a position that will release the flow of frozen international funds to the Palestinian Authority – or bring its fledgling government down. This tactic might have worked had it been put forward three months ago before the rivalry between Abbas’ Fatah loyalists and a new Hamas militia had come to blows exchanged by gunmen on the streets of the Gaza Strip. But three weeks ago, Hamas launched its new militia with a pledge to wrest control of the Palestinian street from Abu Mazen and his cohorts – even if it came to an armed confrontation – which it already has.

Hamas troops are fully mobilized, augmented by hundreds of freshly-trained recruits and ready for action, while Fatah and the pro-Abbas security forces are being depleted by dropouts and not in any shape to force the PA chairman’s will on Hamas.

A Part of the End Times Pattern!

The AP/Jerusalem Post article, which is followed by extracts from old Prophecy Updates in our Archives, is a single prelude to what will be a worldwide scene of tectonic chaos aligned w ith

the time of the future Jihad against Israel.

My guesstimate is that at a point in time between 2008 and 2012 this worldwide outbreak of earthquakes is likely to begin. There is no doubt in my mind it will occur according to the Scriptures, but, as to the time of its beginning, I confess it is an educated guess, no more and no less.

Quake Rocks Indonesia, 2500 Dead

A powerful earthquake flattened buildings in central Indonesia early Saturday, killing at least 2,500 people and injuring thousands more in the country’s worst disaster since the 2004 tsunami.

The magnitude 6.2 quake struck at 5:54 a.m. near the ancient city of Yogyakarta as many people slept, caus ing death and damage

in many nearby towns.

Roads and bridges were destroyed, hindering efforts to get the wounded to hospitals. Some phone lines also were cut.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono ordered the army to help evacuate victims, as panicked residents ran into the smoldering streets, many clutching young children.

He said he would head to the disaster zone in Central Java province later Saturday.

Nine hours after the quake struck, the number of dead stood at 2,517, said Direvan, an official in the Social Affairs Ministry’s task force office, with two thirds of the fatalities in the devastated district of Bantul.

“The numbers just keep rising,” said Arifin Muhadi of the Indonesian Red Cross, adding that nearly 2,900 people were hurt.

Luke 21:11 – And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

The Greek word translated “divers places” is made up of two words: “kata,” which means “down,” being used here in the distributive sense, “throughout, from one place to another,” and the word “topos, which means “places” in the earth’s topography. The inference is that earthquakes would be occurring down through the earth in many different places. The fearful sights and signs were to begin to appear more frequently in the atmosphere of the earth as smoke clouds, rising from volcanic eruptions, when the tribulation period drew closer.

Please consider what I wrote five years ago in Archive Prophecy Update 18, concerning the reasons for the increase in earthquakes, and the importance of the word translated “divers.”

In 1967 Israel recaptured the Old City of Jerusalem and her Temple Mount and, for the first time since she lost it to the Romans in A.D. 70, she regained sovereignty over it. During the 19 year period that followed, from 1968 to 1986, there were 125,011 earthquakes reported across the earth. In just 14 years, from 1986 to 2000, we had 247,347 earthquakes reported on this globe. I assure you that they will continue to accelerate, but if they were simply to continue at this static rate of 17,688 per year then, by the time that the 19 year cycle is completed in 2005, there will have been 335,687 reported across the earth. The average number reported per year since 1948 has increased, in 19 year cycles, from 1,726 to 6,579 to 17,688. I realize that a large part of the increase is due to better seismological equipment, a better reporting system, and an increase in the density of population, but it cannot be attributed to these factors alone. And, after all, Jesus simply said, for all practical purposes, that more and more would be reported in many different (divers) places just before he came again. And, in saying they would be in many different places, one would have to surmise he knew man would spread across the earth and that technology would rapidly increase in the last days. In any case, it demonstrates he is who he claimed to be, the Son of God, who knows the future.

Did not the Spirit, in Daniel 12:4, indicate that man would spread across the earth, and technology would bring a literal knowledge and capability explosion: “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.” Could Jesus have known less?

In Archive Prophecy Update Number 206, you can see that when the last 19 year cycle was completed, the actual number of reported earthquakes had increased from the estimate of 17,668 to 20,061.

Also, please consider the following extract regarding the importance of Jesus saying that more earthquakes were going to be reported just before his coming, without giving the specific reason as to why.

Man has indeed run to and fro in the earth, under the earth, and above the earth, and experienced an unbelievable knowledge explosion in the last 100 years. We now know what produces earthquakes, and all the other things associated with the earth’ s functioning part

s. Jesus walked on this earth as its creator. He knew everything there was to know about it. He knew its past and its future. He knew that man would eventually discover the rest of the world, and then spread across it.

He knew the world’s population would pass six billion in 1999. He knew that man’s immorality in sexual conduct would cause 40 million cases of HIV to exist on the earth in 2003. He knew seismic tomography would be able to photograph the earth to its core

before the dawn of the twenty-first century. He knew that a very efficient worldwide seismological system of reporting earthquakes would come into being, and that earthquakes would be reported in places they had never been reported before, because of the new system and man spreading into many areas that had never felt a human foot. He knew that many more earthquakes would be reported than ever before, and that this would continue right up to the time of his coming. He also indicated that just before his coming the whole tectonic structure was set for a massive readjustment, which geologists have labeled as a period of “isostasy” that occurs between long intervals of time. I believe it is what the Bible identifies as the tribulation period.

So, with all this in mind, let’s take a look at what Jesus said about the pattern earthquakes would follow in the beginning of sorrows, which was to eventually lead into the tribulation period.

Matthew 24:7,8 – For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be fam ines, and pestilences, and earthquakes,

in DIVERS places. [8] All these are the beginning of SORROWS.

There are two key words in this verse we must take into account concerning earthquakes.

(1) DIVERS, meaning many different places,

(2) And SORROWS, meaning the pains of a woman giving birth.

The Lord indicated that earthquakes would be on the increase like a woman’s birth pains. He did not say WHY they would increase in number. He just said they would be increasing in number.

He was the only man on earth at the time that knew WHY! Now, because of our knowledge explosion, we know WHY, or at least PART of WHY! There is no way an atheistic scientist can prove they aren’t, and there is no way a Christian scientist can prove they are – Why? Because the atheistic will normally tell you the increase in earthquakes is due totally to all the reasons I listed previously, and a Christian will normally tell you the increase is not totally due to all the reasons I gave earlier. Quite frankly, I am convinced that, while most of the unbelievable increase is due to those reasons listed, some of it is due to the hand of the Lord in his creation. But the question of WHY is mute because the increase in the number reported is fantastic, and Jesus did not say WHY, he just said it would happen, and IT IS!

le country bordering the U.S. had been known to be responsible for the 9/11 attack, the United States response would have been horrific.

I feel confident that if the following New York Sun Article is correct, and Hamas or any other Gaza based terror group was known to be responsible, THEN GOODBY TO THE GAZA STRIP.

Not only would a massive overrunning attack be launched the length of the Gaza Strip, but all known Hamas hangouts and homes would be leveled by the IAF immediately before the invasion of the IDF.

Such a response would be justified, and the terrorist hell hole in the Gaza Strip could temporarily be cleaned up. A simultaneous land invasion from the south, west, and north, conducted in conjunction with an amphibious landing from the Mediterranean, would catch most of Hamas and the other terrorist groups before they could flee into Egyptian territory.

Hamas Seeks To Attack Israeli Skyscrapers with Planes

JERUSALEM – Hamas is seeking the ability to attack Israel using small airplanes laden with explosives to be flown September 11-style into important targets, possibly Tel Aviv skyscrapers, a leader of Hamas’s so-called military wing, Abu Abdullah, told World Net Daily yesterday.

Mr. Abdullah is considered one of the most important operational members of Hamas’s Izzedine al-Qassam Martyrs Brigades, Hamas’s declared “resistance” department. He said his group would not immediately carry out airplane attacks, but that Hamas is preparing for the possibil ity the long-term truce
