National Interest is the driving force behind world politics, and all of the contributing nations to the Hamas government in Israel offer a span of differing reasons for their support. Iran needs Hamas for a future Jihad, Russia wants to benefit in the future if the Jihad succeeds, and the others want to survive and avoid retaliation if it succeeds.

Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Russia and Qatar Seek to Fund Hamas

Iran, Saudi Arabia and others are eager to fund the Hamas-controlled Palestinian Authority, but are having trouble passing the money over due to banks’ fear of US

retribution, Hamas officials say.

According to the PA,

more than $120 million has already been raised from donor countries, but the money is not being transferred due to Arab banks’ fear of retribution by the US.

Iran was one of the first countries to declare it would help Hamas, offering $50 million and a promise to continue assisting the Islamist group in its efforts to wipe out the Jewish State.

Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniya called Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to thank him for his aid Tuesday.

“I have called the president of the Iranian Islamic republic to thank him for the support that he has shown towards the Palestinian people and I told him of our desire to have strong relations with all Arab and Muslim countries,” Haniya said.

US ally Saudi Arabia pledged $90 million in aid to the PA. Qatar pledged $50 million.

Though Kuwait was saved by the US, from invasion by Iraq in the first Gulf War, the oil kingdom offered $7.5 million when visited by the Hamas finance minister, Mahmoud al-Zahar. In a bizarre twist, however, al-Zahar reported that $450,000 in cash was stolen from his hotel room during his visit.

It is unclear why so much cash would be on al-Zahar’s person, due to the claim that the PA’s coffers are nearly empty.

Israel Internally Fences in Terrorists while Terrorists Externally Do the Same to Israel on their Outer Borders!

The acceleration of the Security Barrier/Fence/Wall to establish internal borders between the Palestinians and Israelis is being pushed by Ehud Olmert, while terrorist group leaders are accelerating the buildup of terror organizations around the outer borders of Israel.

I suspect by 2008 both Israel and the exterior terror groups will have been able to complete their work, and things will become very interesting from the prospective of prophetic fulfillment during the period 2008 to 2012. The next President of the United States may well end up wishing he or she had not won the election.

Acting PM Orders to Speed up Jerusalem Fence Construction

Acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Wednesday instructed security forces to complete the “Jerusalem envelope” section of the separation fence, in the area through which the perpetrators of the recent suicide bombing in Tel Aviv reached the city.

In a meeting with senior politicians and army offiers, Olmert discussed ways of speeding construction and overcoming “legal hold-ups,” a Jerusalem source said.

At a meeting before the Passover holiday, defense establishment officials presented the planned changes to the route.

The route will be amended in three places: the “Ariel fingers” and the Palestinian villages Beit Iksa (at the entrance to Jerusalem) and Jabaa (in Gush Etzion). Olmert has already approved the changes.

Altering the route in Ariel is intended to connect it with the main route of the fence from the direction of the settlements Beit Aryeh and Ofarim, south of Ariel, rather than in a straight line westward as was planned initially.

This places outside the fence a large area with several thousand Palestinian residents.

Olmert promised during a visit to Ariel in March that the fence in the area would be completed by the end of the year “and secure the entire bloc.” The settlements Karnei Shomron, Kedumim and Immanuel, which the original plan connected to Ariel in one big enclave, will connect to the main fence route in the area of Alfei Menashe.

Beit Iksa was initially included on the “Israeli” side of the fence bec ause of its proximity to the c

apital, but the Shin Bet and police objected that the village might attract illegal Palestinian job-seekers and become a hotbed of security problems.

The Israel Defense Forces later joined their position.

ISRAELI SECURITY OFFICIAL – WE ARE SURROUNDED!

The situation in Israel reminds me of a church building near Newport, Arkansas that goes by the name of Surrounded Hill Missionary Baptist Church. I remember when it got its name. Before flood control was put in place on the White River, it was not uncommon for the old church building to be surrounded on its hill perch by flood waters. Churches and water did not get along too well when I was young. The Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, which was organized by my Great-great-great-great grandfather, Henry McElmurry, in 1843, near the big spot named Zion, Arkansas, had a rock bottom creek we had to drive through just before we reached the church building, and when the creek was up we didn’t assemble.

The flood waters of Islamic terrorism have risen slowly around Israel over the last three years, and it certainly is not a good sign.

We always knew the White River and the creek would go down, but it looks like the Jihad flood waters around Israel will continue to rise.

Security Officials Warn ‘Global Jihad Is Closing In’

“We are surrounded,” a senior security official said Tuesday, describing the aftermath of Monday’s deadly attack on the Sinai beach resort of Dahab.

For months now, security officials have warned that al-Qaida and Global Jihad were slowly closing in on Israel and were attempting to establish cells in the Palestinian territories.

Even though this most recent attack was not in Israel, it was still cause for concern at the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv, where senior officers on Tuesday referred to it as another sign of Global Jihad’s encroachment on Israel.

In December, an al-Qaida cell in Lebanon fired Katyusha rockets at Kiryat Shmona, and

in August Global Jihad-affiliated cells in Jordan fired Katyushas at Eilat.

But Monday’s bombings did not come as a surprise to the defense establishment, which months ago issued an advisory against traveling to Egypt and particularly Sinai.

Military Intelligence believes Sinai has turned into an al-Qaida hotbed whose cells were behind all of the latest Sinai terror attacks, including the bombings in Sharm e-Sheikh last July and in Taba in 2004, which together killed over 100 people.

Although Egypt has sent special forces into the Sinai hills of Jabal Halal to weed out the terror cells, Monday’s attack, security officials said, proved that their efforts were not as effective as they may have thought.

Evaluations note that the cells operating in the Sinai are composed of local Egyptian Beduin who are easily recruited into al-Qaida due to their disdain of President Hosni Mubarak’s regime. It is also thought that the explosives used by the cells are no longer coming from old mines and tank shells left behind by Egyptian-Israeli wars, but are being smuggled into the Sinai from Egypt’s neighbors, possibly even Saudi Arabia.

Even as officials are concerned with the events inside Egypt, their real concern is whether the terror there would spill over into Israel.

Demonstrating the delicate situation along the fenceless Egyptian-Israeli border, three Sudanese refugees on Tuesday were caught south of Nitzana trying to infiltrate into the country.

While these infiltration attempts are thwarted almost daily, most of Israel’s border with Egypt is wide open, as the government recently decided not to invest the funds necessary to close off the border with a security fence, as exists with Jordan and Lebanon. Instead, the army was ordered to reinforce its troops along the border, and two weeks ago the Golani reconnaissance unit replaced the Givati Brigade and took up – together with the Border Police’s Ramon Battalion – surveillance and security.

Security services admit that they don’t know how many infiltrators have gotten through undetected into Israel.

Last month, a senior security official stationed along the border with Egypt told The Jerusalem Post that Israel was concerned with the possibility that the Jihad cells, which he said were stationed a mere 30 km. away, would try to kidnap IDF troops or border policemen nearby.

Security coordination with Egypt, a high-ranking IDF officer said, was at an all-time high, with Israel keenly aware that the al-Qaida presence in Sinai posed a threat not only to Egyptian resort towns like Dahab, but also to the Negev and possibly even to central Israel.

The Egyptians, the officer said, had improved their patrols along the border with Gaza, and while the Rafah

border terminal was open to anyone, the Egyptian Border Police units, he said, were doing a better job at stopping arms smuggling from their side of the border into Gaza.

The only hope, he said, was that they would have similar success in stopping al-Qaida in the Sinai.

Islamic Terrorist Leaders Do Know about the Abraham Land Grant!

Many Muslim leaders are very familiar with what we refer to as the Old Testament.

They simply call it “The Book.” Since they are also the descendants of Abraham through Ishmael and Keturah, many of the same promises the Jews claim as theirs through Isaac and Jacob, the Arabs claim through Ishmael. The Land Grant God gave to Abraham extends from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates.

In the last portion of the article which follows from the DEBKAfile, Zarqawi refers to the land grant, and indicates the foreign “Crusaders,” Israel, and Muslim traitors, are invading to take it from Islam, its rightful heir.

Terror Groups Want to Overthrow Jordan to Close the Jihad Circle around Israel�

It has never been a secret that the extremist Islamic countries were horrified when Egypt, and then Jordan, signed peace agreements with Israel. And, it is certainly no secret that all the terror groups across

the Middle East desperately want to overthrow the Egyptian and Jordanian governments, planning to replace them with governments as ungodly as themselves.

I do not believe that Egypt or Jordan will be privy to any of the secret Iranian, Syrian, and Terror Group plans designed to launch a lightning Jihad against Israel. They simply do not trust them.

Jordan Arrests Hamas Terror Suspects

an announced on Tuesday that it had arrested several Hamas activists on suspicion of planning to execute a terror attack in the country.

A government spokesman said that the alleged operatives received orders from the Hamas leaders in Damascus.

During their interrogation, the suspects confessed that they were planning to attack senior members of the Hashemite kingdom.

On April 19, a crisis between Jordan and Hamas erupted following allegations the group had smuggled weapons into the kingdom.

Hamas leaders strongly denied the charges made by the Jordanian government and accused it of succumbing to Israeli and American pressure by canceling a planned visit to Amman by Palestinian Authority Foreign Minister Mahmoud Zahar.

Zahar was expected to visit but the government announced that he was not welcome because Hamas had smuggled and stored weapons in

the country.

Government spokesman Nasser Judeh said Jordanian authorities had discovered weapons, including bombs and rockets, which had been smuggled into Jordan by a terrorist group affiliated with Hamas.

Relations between Hamas and Jordan have been poor since 1999, when five commercial offices in Amman registered under the names of

Hamas leaders were closed, several of its members were detained and arrest warrants were issued for Hamas leaders Khaled Mashaal, Musa Abu Marzook, Sami Khater, Izzat Rishek

and Ibrahim Ghosheh.
