Fate of Ariel Sharon, the Kadima (Forward) Party, and the Wall!

I have received several queries as to the effect the stroke of Ariel Sharon will have on his newly formed Kadima (Forward) Party, as well as the prophetic situation in Israel.

As to the prophetic situation in Israel – VERY LITTLE EFFECT.

I have consistently maintained, since the security barrier/wall/fence was instituted in 2002, that it was the instrument that would bring a forced false peace to Israel.

I have persistently stated that it does not matter which of the parties has control of

the Knesset, or who holds the office of Prime Minister, THE WALL WILL BE COMPLETED.

Kadima. Likud, and Labor all have in their party platform that they will finish the protective security barrier.

The completion of the security barrier has consistently been supported by the vast majority of Israelis, so none of the major political parties would dare support not completing it. We are headed f or a false peace in Israel regardless of which party

or Prime Min ister

is in control. WHEN the barrier is completed determines the time the false peace will be possible.

As to Ariel Sharon – As the situation appears today, I do not believe he will continue as Prime Minister.

As to Sharon’s newly formed Kadima (Forward) Party – I believe it will receive more votes than any other party at the March elections, and will form a government with one or two other parties. As of this morning’s latest Israeli polls, the Kadima had drawn 42 potential seats for March in the Knesset (61 is required for a majority). Their support is likely to erode at first without Sharon, but it will increase again by March.

As to right now – Sharon has transferred power to his Deputy, Ehud Olmert, who will probably serve as acting Prime Minister until the next elections, and stands a chance

to become Prime Minister after March elections.

The two articles, which follow, illustrate how the Islamic spirit of Jihad, which began in Afghanistan when Osama bin Laden was successful in driving out the Russians, is now closing its web around, and into, Israel.

It is well known that Al-Qaeda operatives have now penetrated Jordan, are actively operating in Syria and southern Lebanon,

and have cells in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.

The flames of Jihad among the Muslims of the world, some one sixth of the world’s population, will not be extinguished until the Messiah returns to extinguish them at Armageddon.

Iran Spreading More Terrorist Tentacles into Israel!

The Iranian oil profits are being used to finance an increasing flow of terrorist support in

to Israel.

With the passage of each new month the links between Iran, Syria, and all the terrorist groups, including the network of Osama Ben Laden, are being extended

and strengthened in, and around, Israel. There is more of a working relationship between many terrorist groups that were once in competition, and interchanging of individual terrorists between them is becoming more common. This is particularly true in Iraq, where the primary terrorist effort is made up of a collection from all the known terrorist groups, which have infiltrated across the borders from Jordan, Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.

When the American troops come home from Iraq it will not take long for the government of Iraq to become an ally of Iran and Syria.

With western troops out of the Middle East, it is only of question of time until ten Arab nations come against Israel, one from within, and nine from without.

The octopus-like tentacles of Iran are now being felt along the borders of Israel from southern Lebanon, Syria to the north, Egyptian Sinai and Gaza to the southwest,

and Jordan to the east.

It is merely a question of time until The West Bank feels the tip of one of its tentacles.

Palestinian Leader Accuses Iran and Hizballah of Directing Terror Attacks

In an interview with the Saudi newspaper Al-Hayat, published in London, a senior Palestinian leader accuses Iran and Hizballah of directing terror attacks against Israel.

According to him, Islamic Jihad is violating the “tahdiya” (the temporary ceasefire agreement that ends on Dec.

31) according to instructions from Iran.

He claims the PA has proof of direct Iranian involvement in the operations of Islamic Jihad cells, including taped telephone conversations between Hizballah activists in Lebanon and Islamic Jihad activists, and with Palestinian agents of Hizballah living in Israel.

On one tape, a Hizballah agent is heard offering to supply Al Aksa Brigades activists in the territories with all the means necessary to carry out terror attacks.

The Palestinian leader said that the terror organizations in the territories receive $5-8,000 each month, funds that arrive via Western Union money transfers, which allow the exchange of cash around the world.

The Clerics of Islam in the Middle East have gone passed exaggeration in their efforts to convince the Muslim world that Israel is defaming the third most holy site of Islam, which consists of the Muslim constructions on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, namely the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aksa Mosque.

al case of genuine desecration of either of these sites by Israel, that could be legitimately proven, would indeed be the most effective method of uniting all the Islamic nations, as well as all Muslims around the world, to begin a holy Jihad against Israel.

However, the following article from the Jerusalem Post, concerning the claims of Shikh Ra’ad Salah, is not only phony baloney, it is an out and out lie by exaggeration, and he knows

it.

What he is probably referring to is the large underground model of the temple of Herod in the Rabbi’s Tunnel, which is about 106 yards to the west of the Dome of the Rock. I have been to this model m any times and assure you it is not under the Temple Mount, nor does it, in

any way, pose any danger to any of the Muslim structures on it.

The synagogue to which he is referring probably refers to one or some of the cemented entrances that have been made into small shrines where the Jews sometimes pray, but the last of those tunnels that led under the Temple Mount, which was still open during Jordanian occupation, was cemented shortly after the Jews recaptured the Temple Mount in 1967, and none of them have

been unsealed by the Jews since that time.

However, whatever he thinks this temple model and synagogue is, let me assure you that neither is located under the Temple Mount of Herod, and pose no danger to the Dome of the Rock or the Al Aksa Mosque.

Ironically, the only danger posed to the Al Aksa Mosque is construction by Muslim authorities in Solomon’s underground stables beneath and to the east of it. They have weakened the supporting walls and strata beneath it close to the point of collapse, and the next moderate quake in Jerusalem may well cause it to

collapse.

Israel Denies Temple Mount Excavation

The Israel Antiquities Authority denied on Tuesday accusations that archeological excavations were currently underway below the Temple Mount and that a synagogue had opened at the site.

Israel Antiquities Authority Jerusalem District Archaeologist Yuval Baruch said that all of the gates to the Temple Mount compound had been blocked by massive construction in historical times.

“The only gates open today are the official ones – they are open to Muslim worshippers and visitors – and they are under the control of security officials and Waqf representatives,” Baruch stated.

Sheikh Ra’ad Salah, leader of the Islamic Movement’s northern faction, had said at a press conference earlier Tuesday that al-Aksa Mosque was in danger, and declared that if archeological excavations in the vicinity of the Western Wall tunnels were to continue, Israel “would find itself at war with the entire Muslim world.”

He said that Israel was building a synagogue and a large model of the Second Temple at the excavation site, which is 97 meters away from the Dome of the Rock.

At the press conference, Salah screened a video that supposedly showed Jews praying at the illicit synagogue.

MORE INSTABILITY IN SYRIAN GOVERNMENT

Papa Assad, the departed Godfather of the Alawi Mob Family, was able to hold this small family in power by cunning expertise and brutality, and ruled Syria with an iron fist. Without his leadership, the dynasty of his Son, Bashar Assad, is showing signs of unraveling.

Watching the events unfurl in Syria, (which was once a part of the old Assyrian Empire), over the next two years, could well prove to be very interesting. The current President of Syria, Bashar Al-Assad, simply does not have the expertise to measure up to the biblical characteristics and role laid out for the future antichrist.

I expect him to be taken out by a coup within two years and, after the coup and a brief period of struggle for leadership, I am looking for a strongman to pop up in the Syrian governmental structure, and take control decisively. He could be the Assyrian antichrist. Many are expecting the rise of the man of sin to be a long gradual process.

I am not!

I have always believed his initial appearance would be sudden and decisive.

Before the world sees the Son of man return in a cloud to end the tribulation period, become King over all the earth, and stand and feed in the strength of his Father, the Assyrian antichrist will attack the nation of Israel from the north.

It will be his attack that invokes the Son of man to return at his Second Advent some 3 and ½ years later.

Micah 5:2-6 – But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. [3] Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. [4] And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

[5] And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds,

and eight principal men.

[6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.

All the “he’s” down to, and including the first “he” in verse 5, refer to the Messiah, Jesus Christ. The first “he” in verse 6 also refers to Christ.

All the other “he’s” refer to the Assyrian Antichrist.

The article, which follows, came from the DEBKAfile, and is another indicator of the growing confusion and instability in a government that I believe is likely to crumble during the next two years.

Dramatic turn in UN Hariri assassination probe: a formal demand to question Syrian president Bashar Assad and foreign minister Farouk a-Shara on their role in the crime

This is the first time in UN annals that an inquiry commission established by the world body demands to quiz an incumbent head of state on the murder of an ex-prime minister of another nation.

He confirmed the UN report that found the Syrian president had threatened the murder former Lebanese PM Rafiq Hariri months before his assassination. Haddam, whom Bashar unseated after he succeeded his father as president, denounced the Syrian president for refusing to sack General Rustoum Ghazaleh, the former Syrian military intelligence in Lebanon, immediately after the assassination.

DEBKAfile’s Middle East sources note that Haddam insinuated in the interview that Assad had had pre-knowledge of the murder and could have prevented it.

He clearly laid the crime at Ghazaleh’s door and made it clear that no part of Syrian intelligence is free to act without Assad’s authority. This veteran Syrian politician’s diatribe against Assad is unprecedented and shocked opinion in Damascus and the Arab world.
