Believers in the soon coming of the 12th Imam, the Shiite Messiah, can now dial a hotline in Iran for the latest info or prophecy issued about him.

An article of January 4 from the Christian Science Monitor, from which some quotes are made in the following article, brought back to mind the 2005 article, which was the reason for this supplement to it.

According to a January fourth article by Scott Peterson of the Christian Science Monitor: “Just call the new messiah ‘hotline.’ Or log on to Bright Future Nets Agency to get the latest religious readout – all part of the effort by freshly rejuvenated believers in Iran to spread their message of the imminent return of the Mahdi, the 12th Imam, who is expected to return to impose justice and spread peace.”

The new Iranian President is a “died in the wool” religious Islamic fanatic from the top of his head to the tip of

his toes. The Apostle Paul was a “Hebrew of the Hebrews,” and President Ahmadinejad is truly a “Shiite of the Shiites.”

According to Scott Peterson, President Ahmadinejad is paving the way to “a renewed commitment to ‘Mahdaviat’ beliefs in untraconservative Iranian government.”

In the Shiite theology of the religious followers of the current President of Iran, the 12th Imam is still the sole source of legitimate power on the earth. I suspect a man will suddenly arise in Islam claiming to be the 12th Imam.

He will declare himself to have returned with the power of Allah but, in reality, he will be the antichrist.

Scott Peterson states these “Mahdaviat” beliefs of the ultraconservative Iranian President, and his followers, which have been growing since the 1979 creation of the Islamic Republic, as being critical to paving the way for the Mahdi Imam.

He says, concerning their beliefs, “They say that return – which they believe will happen soon – will prompt a global battle between good and evil (not unlike biblical ‘Armageddon’), and herald an era of justice, peace, and he ultimate triumph of Shiite Islam.”

This belief in a coming Islamic Messiah is causing the flames of a Holy Jihad to rise daily, and within a few years it will turn into a raging fire throughout all Islam.

The spirit of Jihad is the spirit of antichrist. That spirit will come to be the full satanic spirit of antichrist in a single man, who Islam calls the 12th Imam, but Daniel calls him “the little horn.”

Kadima (Forward) Party is the One to Beat!

I will probably have little to say about the

Israeli March elections for the next several weeks and, unless surprises arise, I will stick to what I said in our January 4th Archive Blog, when they rushed Sharon to the hospital with his massive stroke.

Regarding the outcome of March elections, I will repeat the following paragraph extract from that Blog, which was as follows.

“As to Sharon’s newly formed Kadima (Forward) Party – I believe it will receive more votes than any other party at the March elections, and will form a government with one or two

other parties. As of this morning’s latest Israeli polls, the Kadima had drawn 42 potential seats for March in the Knesset (61 is required for a majority). Their support is likely to erode at first without Sharon, but it will increase again by March.”

According to a new poll released today by Ha’aretz news service and a local television channel, the Kadima Party will sweep

the elections even without Sharon, easily defeating the Likud and Labor Parties.

The poll covered 650 people and was taken one day after Sharon suffered his severe stroke.

The poll indicated that Kadima, led by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, would win 40 Knesset seats, which was only a slight drop from the 42 which had been predicted before his massive stroke.

January, February, and March should be interesting months, with a lot of charges and countercharges filling the political airways of Israel, but I don’t expect I will have a lot to say about it unless something really significant occurs.

What If Netanyahu Becomes the New Prime Minister in March

As I have stated in several previous updates, trying to predict which Israeli party will be able to collect the 61 seats necessary to form a new government, is like trying to guess the number of marbles in a 5-gallon glass container in a drug store window to win a contest.

Between now and March a lot can happen to change any guesstimates made at the present time.

My guess is that the Kadima (Forward) party will win the most seats. I have always liked Benjamin Netanyahu.

He is a straight forward, no nonsense, man who loves Israel, and deals with any military situation directly and with force, which always gets him in trouble with the international community. But with Netanyahu, the security of Israel and its welfare ranks first, and the desire of the U.S. and the rest of the international community is second.

Although I do not believe he will be installed as the new Prime Minister after the March elections, I hope I am wrong, because he is what Israel needs.

In any case the long awaited security barrier will be completed regardless of which party wins the elections, but with Netanyahu its building progress would be greatly accelerated, and no quarter would be given to the terrorist groups

and countries.

A good friend of mine sent an article to me from the Financial Sense Online by Derrick Michael Reid, Esq., which expresses the same view I have always held concerning Netanyahu.

The article was dated January 5, 2005, and I have extracted two paragraphs from it, which follow. I hope he is right about the outcome of the March elections. If he is, I assure you his analysis of Netanyahu’s future actions as Prime Minister are definitely on target.

With Israel in fear of growing threats and extinction from Iran, Israelis will fall back on the old warrior, Netanyahu, as a necessary vote to defang Iran and preserve Israel.”

THE ROAD BY FINISHING THE FENCE!

The main issue that will decide the next election entails which party

the Israeli public believes can finish the security barrier the quickest, get the Palestinians enclosed behind it the soonest, set up and monitor the security checkpoints more rapidly, and keep the terrorists locked inside the barrier the most effectively. The Israeli public has come to accept the security barrier/fence/wall and its checkpoint security as the only way a time of “relative” peace can come to Israel society.

Parts from the article “Finish the Fence” in the Jerusalem Post, which follows, were extracted to show the progress and the importance of the security barrier/fence/wall, which has been under construction since 2002. The primary reason for the slowness of the construction has thus far been twofold: (1) The United States objection to it, and, (2) The delays caused by Israeli High Courts in many local areas along it went against the precise placement imposed by the Israeli Knesset. It should have been completed in 2005, but now it appears it will not be finished until some time in 2007.

Ori Binamo, the IDF officer who on Thursday discovered a Palestinian suicide bomber at a roadblock near Tulkarm and paid for it with his life, was a hero. But this sort of heroism might not have been necessary had the building of the security fence, which the government promised to complete by the end of 2005, been finished.

Under these circumstances, it is worth reviewing where the construction of security fence stands.

So far, about 200 km. have been built,

roughly along the northern portion of the Green Line from the Jordanian border to the Petah Tikva area.

Another 10 km.

have been built north of Jerusalem and 10 km.

more south of the capital. This leaves more than half of the barrier incomplete – about 350 km. have yet to be built.

One problem here is that the public has no way of knowing why construction of

the much-promised fence has not proceeded at its original pace. The Knesset should hold hearings on this after the elections. In the meantime, the most likely reason for delay is that Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was reluctant to contend with the two most important critics of the fence’s route, our High Court of Justice and the United States.

Similarly, American concerns about fencing in the settlement blocs should not be allowed to stop the fence from being built.

So long as the threat of terrorism remains clear and present, Israel has the right and responsibility to put the security of its citizens first, not the diplomatic concerns of other nations. Israel might point out to these nations that the fence, far from blocking the creation of a Palestinian state, is actually consistent with, and even likely to advance that end.

Israeli Elections in March 2006

As I stated in the last BLOG of January 4: “As to Ariel Sharon – As the situation appears today, I do not believe he will continue as Prime Minister.”

Even if Sharon recovers from his severe stroke, he will never be able to again fulfill the office of Prime Minister.

His days as a member or head of the Knesset are behind him.

Between now and the March elections, you will see three parties battle for control of the government

following the outcome of the elections – Kadima, the right wing moderate party newly formed by Sharon; Likud, the far right party out of which Sharon departed; and Labor, the left wing party that joined Sharon’s former Likud party to form the present government.

These three will do battle for a majority of seats in a 120 member Knesset, 61 needed to make a majority.

As has been the case in the past, none of them will be able to obtain that many seats on their own to form a new government after the elections.

It seems likely that Kadima will win the largest number of seats, but

will have to join with one or more other parties to form a government.

The Israeli people strongly support the completion of the security wall around the West Bank and Gaza Strip, so all three parties are pledged to complete the barrier. This security barrier completion will produce a period of relative false peace once it is completed and its check points are fully functional.

I do not expect it to be completed until June 2007.

The heads of the Likud, Labor, and Shas Parties are already in place for the coming elections.

The leading candidates to replace Sharon as head of the Kadima Party are the acting Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Tzipi Livni, Shaul Mofaz, and Meir Sheetrit.

In all honesty, I have no idea who will win the Kadima Party’s vote of approval.

It will be interesting to see if Likud Chairman Binyamin Netanyahu decides to soften his extreme conservative stance on issues in order to pull support away from the Kadima Party. I have always admired his strong stand in supporting the Jewish settlers in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

I have never supported giving back to the Palestinians any of the land the Lord gave to Israel through his promise to their father Abraham through Isaac and Jacob, the man whom God renamed Israel.
