The hatred of Jews and Americans flowed over at the annual Hajj of Islam in Mecca among some two million Muslims, the enemies of the other two monotheistic religions in Jerusalem, namely, Judaism, whose followers are called the “little devil,” and Christianity, whose followers are called the crusaders or “big devil.” The eventual head-to-head clash between Islam and non-Islam is heading down the prophesied road of a great final clash in the Middle East.

Islamic pilgrims shout hateful slogans, hear speech on ‘satanic policies of Zionism’

As two million Muslim pilgrims flooded Mecca for the annual Hajj pilgrimage, a speech said to have been written by Iranian spiritual leader Ayatollah ‘Ali Khamanai was delivered by his representative for Hajj affairs, Muhammad Muhammadi Reyshahri.

The speech – one of the Hajj’s first events – spoke of “the mercenary government of Israel” and the “satanic policies of international Zionism,” as well as targeting the United States.

Typical was an attack on the “colonial methods” used by the “Great Satan.” During the speech, many members of the audience held up yellow placards reading “Death to America” and pink placards reading “Death to Israel.”

Comments of this nature made by the Iranian regime are far from new. But as The Media Line’s analysts explain, the fact that they were expressed by an Iranian official on Saudi Arabian soil in the language of the Saudis (and not in Farsi, the Iranian language), should be a source of concern to Washington. st important allies in the Middle East.

Following are some excerpts from the Khamanai speech, as read by Muhammad Muhammadi Reyshahri:

“The Muslim n ations f

ace today a post-modernist colonialism.

They have to benefit from their experience, and prevent the enemy from repeating the unsheathing of its sword in the shape of oppression against their values and fate.”

‘Great Satan’

“Today, the fleets of the arrogants are advancing once again, using cunning methods to perpetuate and strengthen their rule over the Muslim nations.

The slogan of spreading democracy and human rights is one of the deceiving methods used. The Great Satan (common phrase in Iran, depicting the United States) is incarnating evil and violence against mankind, while raising the flag of defending human rights, and calling the Middle East nations to democratize.”

“America and all other usurpers mobilized all their media outlets and political forces, in order to thwart the Islamic renaissance, or to oppress it if they can.

The Islamic nations must understand the situation today, and to follow it with caution.

The religious clerics, the religious authorities, the intellectuals, the students, the writers, the poets, the artists, the youth, and the elite – must all take with all seriousness the appropriate initiative, in order to prevent greedy America from beginning a new phase in its colonial rule over the Islamic nations.”

“The Muslim world has to get rid of the constant state of learning from others, and to rely on its own resources, aiming at scientific creativity.”

“The blind and brutal terror, which the occupiers use as an excuse to attack Islam and Muslims, and to continue their military invasion, is something that the Islamic values reject and denounce.”

When The Media Line presented the above excerpts to the U.S. State Department for comment, a spokesman replied that, “Remarks such as these are outrageous and unacceptable.

These remarks reflect an openly anti-Semitic and anti-U.S. platform from Iranian leadership that we find both troubling and destabilizing.

We have been very clear about the troubling nature of Iranian behavior including its support for international terrorism, its pursuit for weapons of mass destruction, its deplorable human rights record, and its opposition to regional peace-making efforts.”

Saudi Arabian officials and the Ministry of Hajj failed to respond to numerous requests for comment by The Media Line.

The Al-Qaida Foreign Policy is Crystal Clear!

The last three paragraphs, which follow, are from an article from the Al Jazeera News Arab World by AFP, titled “Bin Laden Ordered Rocket Attacks” (Against Israel). It is another example of the ever tightening noose of al-Qaida around all the borders of Israel.

The foreign policy of most nations is variable, inconsistent, and subject to change in reaction to public opinion polls, but al-Qaida’s is chillingly consistent, and will not change.

Most of the prophetic world has a teaching of antichrist coming out of Europe after a long series of events that lead to his great worldwide empire.

As a result, those who follow this teaching, think the world has quite a lengthy period of time before he initially manifests himself in Europe. I have taught for more than 30 years he would come out of the Islamic world of nations stretching from Morocco eastward to Iran, and specifically from the area of the ancient Assyrian Empire at the time of Isaiah and Micah’s writings, which would include northern Iraq, extreme southern Turkey, Lebanon, and Syria, with Syria being the most likely country of his rise to power. Even if you do not believe I am correct, it is my hope you will at least consider it, and not be caught by surprise if I am happen to be right. I am prepared for either one of the two scenarios, or perhaps one different from either interpretation, partially because of the following Scripture.

the face of the whole earth.

So, just what is this “sharia” that is to be set up on the planet after the victory of Islam over the known world of Daniel’s time? The following definition is from Wikipedia, the Free Encyclopedia.

Sharia (Arabic: شريعة; also Sharī’ah, Shari’a, Shariah or Syariah) is the Arabic word for Islamic law, also known as

the Law of Allah.

Islam classically draws no distinction between religious, and secular life.

Hence Sharia covers not only religious rituals, but many aspects of day-to-day life, politics, economics, banking, business or contract law, and social issues.

Does that definition sound familiar for a time when the known world of Daniel’s day will be dominated by antichrist, and the Jews driven into the Negev wilderness for a time and

times and the dividing of times (3 & ½ prophetic years)?

Syrian Regime Becoming More Unstable!

As I have indicated in several previous Updates and Blogs, it seems unlikely the regime of Bashar Assad, the President of Syria, will last through 2007. If I am correct in this belief, then my primary interest, from a prophetic standpoint, has been, “who will be his replacement?” His replacement could have great influence in the world of Islam.

The extracts, which follow, from an Associated Press Article in the Jerusalem Post, are another nail in the coffin of the present government in Syria.

Khaddam told The Associated Press in an interview that Hariri was “threatened in a crystal-clear way on numerous occasions” before his death in a truck bombing last year – including by Assad himself.

“You are working against us and you are conspiring

against us. You are seeking to install a president in Lebanon.

I’m the decision-maker.

Anyone who contravenes my decisions I will crush,” Khaddam quoted Assad as telling Hariri.

Khaddam was for many years Syria’s top official in Lebanon and was a member of the ruling Baath Party’ s regional command, it

s most influential body, for almost 30 years.

Khaddam has been accused by Syria of high treason – which carries the death penalty – since first making his allegations of Syrian involvement in Hariri’s death in an interview with Al-Arabiya satellite TV station on Dec.

Khaddam described the Syrian regime as corruption-riddled, with Assad’s cousins involved.

“A shameless mafia is in control of the country in the true sense of the word,” he said.

He openly advocated Assad’s overthrow.

“What I want is a regime change.”

Bashar Assad “does not deserve to be president,” said Khaddam, who was Syria’s nominal leader for a short period after Hafez Assad died in June 2000.

Khaddam did not spell out precisely how change might come about.

He suggested that people power could be the deciding factor, but said Syrians should not take to the streets now.

Khaddam said he will return to Syria “when the regime is actually collapsing” but added that his own future role was “irrelevant.”

Syria’s small but persistent pro-democracy movement was unlikely to embrace Khaddam as a potential leader.

Assad Flies to Saudi Arabia for Talks with King

Syrian President Bashar Assad, who is battling an unprecedented challenge over his country’s alleged involvement in the murder of a former Lebanese leader, made surprise journeys to Saudi Arabia and Egypt on Sunday for talks with Arab leaders.

Arab diplomats said the talks focused on finding a face-saving way for Assad to deal with the most recent request to question him by the UN investigation into the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

Assad was met at Jiddah airport by King Abdullah.

After their talks, he continued to Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt, for talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in another unexpected visit, SANA said.

Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal, who arrived in Damascus earlier in the day, met with Assad and Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa, saying he had traveled to Syria to prepare for Assad’s Saudi visit. He refused to give any details.

The Die Is Cast for a Forced False Peace!

I have never believed any Palestinian Government, no matter who was leading it, would ever be able to control the Hamas, El-Aksa Martyrs Brigades, Islamic Jihad, or any other terrorist group in Israel.

There can never be a genuine peace in Israel, only a false peace of relative security, rigidly enforced by a security barrier and thorough screening at its 27 check points.

If the Palestinian elections, scheduled for January 25, are postponed again, it will only postpone the inevitable, which will be a Palestinian state with terrorists in control, regardless of whether they constitute a majority or minority.

A forced peace by the Israelis is the only way any form of relative peace can be experienced by the civilian population.

The majority of the Israeli civilian population has recognized this for a long time, which was the major reason they consistently supported Ariel Sharon’s unilateral withdrawal plan in conjunction with the completion of a long security barrier around the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

His replacement as Prime Minister will not change Israeli public opinion about the need for a security barrier to contain the Palestinian terrorists within it by force, thereby creating a feeling of security with relative peace.

The Israelis can never have a feeling of peace and safety based on trust in the Palestinians to do their part to maintain it, nor would you if

you had gone through what they have gone through in their dealings with them since 1948. Israelis can only have a feeling of relative peace and safety when the security barrier/wall/fence is in place, the check points are rigidly monitored, and

the terrorists have been contained inside it

situation finally arrives, it is only a matter of time until the following Scripture begins to be fulfilled.

Earthquake on Interconnecting Fault Structure Shakes Earth from
Israel to Italy!

I have taught for many years about the interconnecting fault structure that connects Italy, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Israel, and the Red Sea.

It is the great earthquake of Revelation 6:12 in the Jordan Rift Valley that will produce a chain reaction of great pressure releases in this fault structure from Israel to Turkey to Rome, which will announce the beginning of the last three and one-half years of the tribulation period. The 6:12 earthquake is the first of many in the book of Revelation.

Revelation 6:12 – And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Earthquake Shakes Greece, Felt in Israel

A powerful earthquake shook Greece on Sunday and was felt as far away as the Middle East. Minor damage was reported in southern Greece, and authorities on the island of Crete said three people were slightly injured.

The Athens Geodynamic Institute, which initially gave a magnitude of 6.4, later amended it to 6.9 and said the epicenter was located beneath the seabed, about 200 kilometers (125 miles) south of Athens and 20 kilometers (12 miles) east of the island

of Kithira.
“It was a very powerful quake which shook all of Greece.

There have been dozens of aftershocks, four with a magnitude of 5,” said institute head Giorgos Stavrakakis. “The quake occurred deep undersea and that’s what saved us.”

The earthquake occurred at 1:34 p.m. and was felt as far away as in Cairo, Egypt, about 1,200 kilometers (745 miles) southeast of the epicenter, as well as in Amman, Jordan.

Similarly, the Geophysical Institute of Israel reported that the quake was felt in

The quake was felt across southern Italy – in particular around Naples and Sicily – but there were no reports of damage or injuries, Italian news reports said.

Some people ran into the streets and others phoned civil protection agencies or the fire department seeking information.

Clarice Nassif Ransom, a USGS spokeswoman in Washington, said scientists project that as many as six million people may have felt the earthquake.

“This is an area which regularly gives out strong quakes so we are not surprised. But we don’t expect any serious aftershocks,” Stavrakakis said.

Authorities on Kithira said the airport and about 50 old buildings had also been slightly damaged.

“We’ve had some damage to old buildings but nothing serious has occurred, and we have no reports of injuries,” said Kithira mayor Andreas Kalligeros.

The US Geological Survey, based in Colorado, and the National Earthquake Information Center in Denver gave a preliminary magnitude of 6.7, while the University of Thessaloniki, which also has a geodynamic institute, reported a preliminary magnitude of 6.9. The reason for the discrepancies in magnitude was not immediately clear.
