Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, echoed by the ayatollahs, persists in making outrageous hate statements, directed mainly at Israel.

His latest called the Holocaust a myth and proposed the Jews be resettled in Europe or Alaska – two months after he was condemned worldwide for saying Israel should be wiped off the map.

These statements aggravate tensions in the West – especially around Iran’s nuclear intentions. But the stream of hate continues to issue from Tehran in the face of the European summit’s threat of UN sanctions Friday, Dec.

16, for its president’s “unacceptable” statements and the West’s growing impatience with diplomacy for halting Iran’s advance towards a nuclear weapon.

US secretary of state Condoleezza said she sees “no evidence that Iran is interested in a deal that is going to be acceptable to an international community that is extremely skeptical of what the Iranians are up to.”

At home too, Iran’s rulers are bent on generating a sense of high crisis and menace. A sort of collective delusional hysteria is sweeping the Iranian populace, induced by the Islamic republic’s extremist clerical rulers for reasons of their own. Wonder and hate are invoked by fake miracles and myths, demons and monsters.

The president seems bent on portraying himself as a charmed figure. On a visit to one of the elite ten grand ayatollahs of the regime, Javadi-Amoli, in Qom this week, Ahmadinejad came out with this rigmarole:

“When I addressed the UN General Assembly, a dazzling aura formed around my head. This I learned from one of the heads of state listening to my speech. He told me that they were all sitting at the edge of their seats to drink in the message from our Islamic regime.”

That was in September.

In mid-October, Ahmadinejad suddenly ordered a well in northern Iraq to be declared the sacred gate to the tunnel leading to the Shiite Messiah – Mahdi in Arabic, Emam-e Zaman in Farsi.

The faithful were encouraged to toss notes into the pit bearing their secret wishes, and a set of lavish mosques, hotels and restaurants ordered built around the magic shrine to accommodate hundreds of thousands of pilgrims. The Islamic regime in Tehran was declared the guardian of this holy place.

To further charge the atmosphere, a miraculous dog was fabricated to star in a pious film circulated in hundreds of thousands of copies in Tehran. The dog was shown bowing at the tomb of the eighth Shiite Imam Reza in the northeastern town of Mashad, before climbing atop the marble edifice and bursting into canine tears.

The episode caused great excitement and was widely covered in Iran’s media – until a coolheaded cleric reminded the dog-worshippers that Islam regards dogs as unclean creatures. The episode was then exposed as a fraud concocted by a film director who had trained his dog for the part.

Amid these absurd episodes, ayatollahs at the head of government have begun spouting the grossest form of hate rhetoric heard even in Tehran to demonize all of Iran’s opponents and Western infidels in particular.

Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, chairman of the Council for Preserving the Constitution, declared that only Shiites were human beings and the rest of the world’s inhabitants were corrupt animals fit only to be destroyed. Non-Muslims, he said, were evil monsters which defiled the planet earth.

These words aroused anger even in Iran, especially among minorities. The Zoroastrian leader demanded an immediate retraction and apology. However there was more to come. The director of Friday sermons in Qom, Ayatollah Ali Meshkini, last Friday described the United States and Britain as cancerous growths that destroy any country they penetrate and must be rooted out.

(This Friday, Dec. 16, the same Meshkini said Ahmadinejad’s comment denying the Holocaust is completely logical and what all Iranians think. He was addressing Friday worshippers at the Qom religious center. Meshkeni is the powerful chairman of the Assembly of Experts which oversees supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.)

Ayatollah Mohamad Taghi Mesbah Yazdi, the president’s religious mentor, told his congregation: “Shiites must avoid contact with their enemies, even if they are on the point of death. Never ask a non-Shiite for bread.”

No doubt impressed by Michael Jackson’s song in praise of Islam, Yazdi produced a grandiose plan for dispatching 5,000 missionaries to the United States to spread the true faith. It goes without saying that each of these “missionaries” would form a center for recruiting and training “martyrs” for killing infidels.

DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s Iran experts recall that in the 1980s, the founder of the Islamic republic Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini resorted extensively to pious and religious symbolism to invoke a sense of menace and electric anticipation in the country. His purpose was to galvanize young men to sacrifice themselves as martyrs in Iran’s holy wars and export of its revolution. Plastic keys to heaven, mass-produced cheaply in the Far East, were handed out to each soldier.

Troops fighting in the Iraq-Iran war were entertained by misty visions of the glorious Messiah prancing on his white horse to the front.

The atmosphere of hysteria and dread drummed up in Iran today may be the ayatollahs’ proven way of preparing the country for some new sacrifice.

Like It or Not – The Barrier Will Be the Border!

The Palestinians are not stupid.

That is why they hate the security barrier so intensely – they know it will be the final border they

will be unilaterally forced inside.

When the 27 terminal check points are finally in place, for the first time since Herod’s Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D., the Israelis will at last have a feeling of relative “peace and safety” in their homeland.

Israel Easing Barrier Burden, But The Palestinians Still
See a Border!

Israel is overhauling its separation barrier along the West Bank and Jerusalem to cut the crossing time for people and goods from hours to minutes. Aimed at easing the burden on Palestinians and s oftening international criticism, it is also giving the barrier the feel

of an international border.

The construction project of 27 terminals will cost close to $500 million and sharply reduce tension, Israeli officials say.

Daniel Tirza, a reserve colonel who has drawn the map for nearly every inch of the 450-mile barrier (about one-third complete and due to be finished in a year), has no doubt that it has saved hundreds of Israeli lives by making it harder for suicide bombers to reach their targets.

The barrier not only discourages attacks, he said, but when, as in most of its length, it consists of electronic fencing with sensors, it provides enough warning to catch those who cut through it.

“The barrier does its job,” Tirza said, describing the need to protect Jerusalem’s citizens from sniper fire and suicide bombers. (New York Times)

Full Speed Ahead to a Unilateral Forced Peace

It has been my claim consistently that the Prime Ministers of Fatah in Israel, from Arafat to Abbas have never, and shall never, be able to control terrorism in Israel.

That has always been the viewpoint of most of the conservative leaders in Israel, and it is the main reason they first decided to build a security barrier/wall/fence around the Gaza Strip and West Bank which, when completed in 2007, will confine the terrorists behind a well-patrolled 420 mile length with heavily monitored check-point entrances, which will finally give the nation the feeling of “peace and safety” it has so long sought after. The Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and al Aksa Martyrs Brigades are the terrorist groups that have gained the hearts of the Palestinian people because of unbelievable corruption in the history of the long Fatah administration.

Also, in the real heart of hearts of the Palestinian people there is a true deep seated Islamic wish to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. If Ariel Sharon stays healthy, and it appears he will, you will see his new Kadima (Forward) party as the next government after the 2006 March elections.

However, it does not matter which party gets in office, because the wall will be finished and the terrorists forcible confined inside it.

Any attempts, after they are forced behind it, to launch rockets over in into Israel proper, will be met with IAF and artillery barrages that will look like a Sunday school picnic compared to what has been carried out up to this time. Terrorist groups understand that kind of force.

It is somewhat ironic that all the terrorists groups loudly proclaim, with great certainty, that “all that Israel understands is force.” After having watched the persecuted Israelis from my childhood, I would say that is a lie. But I would say, “Israelis have never known anything but great force prejudicially exercised against them as a people and as a nation.” The irony of what terrorists say about Israel is this – I can truly say, after having been in contact with many Arabs over the years, “all they understand is force.” Ariel Sharon, Benjamin Netanyahu, and all the other conservative and moderate leaders in Israel understand the truth of that statement.

Kadima to a New Middle East

The local elections in the territories resolved a dilemma for many undecided voters on the left (at least three seats’ worth, according to internal party surveys) – whether to vote for Ariel Sharon of the “there is no partner” party, or Yossi Beilin of the Geneva Initiative. Hamas’s sweeping victory proved that Sharon was right: There is no one to talk to.

The Palestinians are turning their backs on Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen), and in his place, they are crowning a gang of fanatics who promise a war of annihilation against the Jewish state. That is also how they are rewarding those who gave them the gift of the Gaza Strip without even asking anything in exchange. Enough of the peace camp’s illusions, enough of the right’s lack of progress, Kadima (“onward”) to a unilateral solution.

It seems reasonable, does it not? But it depends on where you start – from the cause or from the effect: Is Abbas not a partner because he is weak, or is he weak because Sharon decided that he is not a

partner? Would Hamas have attained a similar degree of popularity if Sharon had invited Abbas to resume diplomatic negotiations

? What would the results of the elections have been if Sharon had given Abbas the keys to the Gaza Strip, opened a safe passage to the West Bank for him and enabled his policemen to obtain ammunition

?

Granted, the Palestinian Authority is not innocent of either corruption or sins of omission. But in practice, who really controls the territories that are falling like ripe fruit into the hands of Islamic fanatics? Who, more than anyone else, determines the fate of their inhabitants and drives the desperate into dark corners?

Hamas’s Internet sites do not hide the organization-come-party’s satisfaction with Sharon’s policy. They praised him for ousting the charismatic Yasser Arafat from the political arena and highlight every quote from the prime minister declaring that Abbas is not a partner.

Hamas’s publicists write explicitly that the unilateral withdrawal from Gaza attests that Israel understands only force.

They are hoping for other such withdrawals, which will nurture the security lull and enable them to further cement their support among the desperate.

tory could also help Sharon to shrug off diplomatic pressure – because with Hamas, it is not necessary to discuss territorial compromise, a division of Jerusalem and a reasonable solution to the refugee problem.

There is no danger that the leaders of that organization will be invited to the White House, or even to European capitals. In short, in comparison to Hamas, the Palestine Liberation Organization is a “nonpartner lite.”

Hezbollah Future Jihad Danger Increases on Israel’s Northern Border!

Some three and a half years ago, in Archive Prophecy Update 74D, we presented the most likely scenario pre-planned by the ten Arab nations to use as justification for the initial Jihad attack against Israel.

The article by Aluf Benn in Haaretz is a very interesting one because it does give Hezbollah a wider border along which to strike if Syria cedes the Shaba farms to Lebanon.

Syria Considering Ceding Shaba Farms to Lebanon

Syria is considering a proposal to give Lebanon sovereignty over the Shaba Farms, on the slopes of Mount Hermon, by signing a new border deal with Lebanon, according to information that has reached Israel from several sources in the last few days.

Political sources in Jerusalem said the proposal indicates that the Syrians are trying to ease the diplomatic pressure on them and put the ball in Israel’s court.

If the Shaba Farms are considered Lebanese territory, Israel will be asked to withdraw from the region. Failure to do so will provide Hezbollah with justification to act in South Lebanon and call the Israeli occupation ongoing.

Control of the Shaba Farms, in the Har Dov region, has been controversial since the IDF withdrawal from South Lebanon in May 2000. Hezbollah and the Lebanese government say the farms are Lebanese territory occupied by Israel, and use this to justify the deployment of Hezbollah forces along the Israeli border and the militant group’s continued violent activity.

The UN has accepted the Israeli position that the Shaba Farms constitute Syrian, not Lebanese, territory, and has decided that Israel has fully withdrawn from Lebanon. If the territory belongs to Syria, its future must be determined in

future negotiations on the Golan Heights, and has no connection to the pullout from Lebanon.

Once Israel has completed its long buffer zone fence around the West Bank, and beefed up the one it already has around the Gaza Strip, it will become confident it has finally achieved the impossible, it will say it has “peace and safety.” And all the time that it was tied up internally in so doing, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and Lebanon will have been slowly slipping troops in position for a lightning Jihad from the north. Israel’s preoccupation with its internal safety is going to cause them to slack off in their gaze on what is going on externally.

During the time that Alexander’s great empire had been divided into four sections, the Syrian section (Seleucid) held Israel some of the time, and the Egyptian section (Ptolemy) held it when they took it from the Syrians.

Israel was at times a part of the Egyptian section, at times a part of the Syrian section, and at times a part of both. Daniel lists a very long series of battles between the king of the north (Syria) and the king of the South (Egypt). Most of Daniel’s prophecies about these two kingdoms were fulfilled by their many kings from Daniel 11:4 through 35, but there remains one war yet to be fulfilled, and I believe it is the aforementioned Jihad that begins in Daniel 11:40. Since Israel was once part of the section occupied by Ptolemy, I am persuaded that Israel is the king of the south and Syria is the king of the north in Daniel 11:40-45.

I suspect that after Israel has lulled itself into a false sense of peace and safety by it’s military might, it will have gained even more confidence in its great ability to take care of any Islamic intrusion. It may well be that Syria will get Hizbollah to kick up a storm of activity along the northern border by launching a massive missile and rocket attack across the border into the populations of northern Israel.

Syria will do this knowing that Israel will cross the border into Lebanon and hit Syrian targets from the air.

But this time Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Iran will be waiting for it, and six other Islamic nations will be poised to supply logistical support. The Islamic nations can cry out while they head south: “We were attacked first, we are justified in this response to the Israeli invasion of our sovereign territory.” This will cause a hesitation by the western world at first and, by the time it wakes up, Jerusalem will have fallen, and Israel will be fleeing into the Negev.

I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

[4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

Daniel 11:40 – And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

Zechariah 13:8 – And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the Lord, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

First comes a time when Israel actually believes it can maintain “peace and safety.” Then a time of false “peace and safety” sets in for a brief period.

Then a border incident!

Then a response!

Then a Jihad, and the last 1260 days of the tribulation period are under way.
