The Middle East seed of conflict was planted long ago when Sarah did not have faith in God to provide the seed he had promised Abraham, but came up with a

plan to help God bring the seed through Hagar the Egyptian. The first recorded conflict between Isaac, the promised seed, and Ishmael, the self-help seed, is found in Genesis 21:9-12, and it has been going on ever since. The coming conflict between the descendants of the man Israel and the descendants of Hagar

and Keturah is setting up in the Middle East at the present time, being driven by the flames of the success of the Islamic Jihad extremists before the eyes of the Muslim world.

All these seeds of Abraham through Sarah, Hagar, and Keturah are headed down a path from which they cannot turn.

Genesis 21:9-12 – And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking. [10] Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even

with Isaac. [11] And the thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight because of his son. [12] And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

The final conflict of the descendant seeds of Isaac’s son Israel and his 12 sons, with the descendant seeds of Ishmael through his 12 sons, is not in the far distant future, and the spirit of Islamic Jihad is growing among the descendants of the 12 sons of Ishmael, who have “mingled” with the descendants of the six sons of Abraham through Keturah.

Daniel 2:42-45 – And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. [43] And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

[44] And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

“These kings” of verse 44 are the 10 Arab toes of verses 42 and 43. Christ will bring in his eternal kingdom on this earth will he returns to end the battle of Armageddon.

I Thessalonians 3:13 – To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.

Iraq-Based Jihad Appears to Seek Broader Horizons

Over the last two years, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has risen to prominence on the front lines of the anti-American fight in Iraq. But American intelligence officials say that Zarqawi, a Jordanian, long ago set his sights more broadly on an Islamic Jihad extending to the Mediterranean. The American officials said Thursday they had no reason to doubt a claim of responsibility for Wednesday’s bombings in Jordan issued by Zarqawi’s organization, Al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia.

Zarqawi has seen a widening insurgency as an opportunity, and American intelligence officials say it is one that he has carefully nurtured.

Zarqawi has long harbored deep hatred for Jordan’s Hashemite monarchy, and his organization has maintained roots there.

An American counterterrorism official said that Zarqawi’s longstanding goals include the establishment of a single Islamic state throughout the Levant.

Zarqawi himself outlined those goals in a 2004 letter to top al-Qaeda leaders that was intercepted by the American military.

“We know from God’s religion that the true, decisive battle between infidelity and Islam is in this land,” Zarqawi said, referring to what he called “Greater Syria.”

Zarqawi has succeeded in enlisting support from Iraqi militants as well as foreigners, and he has benefited from an influx of jihadists from Saudi Arabia, other Persian Gulf countries, and, increasingly, from North African countries including Sudan, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia. (New York Times)

The Jerusalem Temple Mount

The Jerusalem Temple Mount is the Holiest Site of

the Jewish Faith, and the third most Holy Site of the Islamic Faith.

For this reason it is a powder keg with a short fuse, which has caused many uprisings and wars in the Middle East.

The latest outbreak of anger occurred on the part of Israeli

archaeologists, which was justifiably directed toward the activities of the Muslim Wakf on the Temple Mount and its environs. The article by Etgar Lefkovits this week in the Jerusalem Post is an example of the ongoing conflict between Israeli authorities

and the Wakf on the Temple Mount. I am placing it on this BLOG.

I plan to give particulars on “Who controls the Temple Mount,” and “Who are the Wakf?” on Prophecy Update 249B this coming Tuesday night, as well as a brief history of how the Temple Mount is administrated, and what future conflicts may arise on it.

Archaeologists Decry Wakf ‘Renovation’

In a renewed dispute, a group of Israeli archaeologists has condemned the Wakf’s planned renovation work of an ancient tower adjacent to the Temple Mount, warning that such a move is part of a long-running plan by the Islamic Trust to expand a recently-created mosque at the Jerusalem holy site.

The non-partisan ‘Committee Against the Destruction of Antiquities on the Temple Mount,’ which h as been le

ading the public campaign against Wakf construction at the site has sent a letter to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and the Director of the Antiquities Authority Shuka Dorfman lambasting the proposed renovation work on the historic structure.

The site in question, known as Hatuniyah, lies adjacent to the Southern Wall of the Temple Mount just outside the ancient compound, and has served in the past as a tower approach to the Temple Mount by way of the Double Gate.

“As part of our follow-up on Wakf activities over the last years, it has become clear that these projects are part of an overall Wakf plan to turn the whole compound into one exclusive Muslim site…and we have firm basis to suppose that the Wakf’s aim this time as well is to take over this structure as well and incorporate it into the mosque at the site,” the November 7 letter read.

According to decades-old regulations in place at the Jerusalem holy site, Israel is in charge of overall security at the compound, while the Islamic Trust or Wakf are charged with day-to-day maintenance at the site.

The archaeologists’ letter, which was made public on Wednesday,

states that the prime minister’s office and or the Antiquities Authority has approved or is planning to approve the Wakf’s renovation plan.

The Prime Minister’s Office had no immediate comment Wednesday.

Antiquities Authority spokeswoman Osnat Guez said Wednesday that she was not aware of any work at the site, noting that in any case the authority does not issue permits for repair work or construction at the site.

Wakf director Adnan Husseini said Wednesday that the work was part of “ongoing renovations” on the southern wall, including scaffolding.

But Israeli archaeologists charged that the renovation work was being used a guise by the Wakf to expand a mosque just inside the compound.

“In the name of so-called renovations, the Wakf will expand the recently-constructed mosque at the Temple Mount,” said committee spokeswoman and Hebrew University archaeologist Dr. Eilat Mazar, one of the signatories of the letter.

The latest controversy surrounding unsupervised Wakf work near Judaism’s holiest site comes in the backdrop of the massive Wakf construction project carried out in the late 1990’s at an underground architectural support of the Temple Mount known as the Solomon’s Stables, which was illicitly converted into what is now the largest mosque in Israel.

Following the construction work, Wakf officials dumped more than 12,000 tons of earth, with history-rich artifacts, at a garbage dump outside the Old City, an action that the Antiquities Authority later called “an unprecedented archaeological crime.”

The renewed dispute also brought back to the fore

the lack of Israeli archaeological supervision at the site, nominally the job of the Antiquities Authority.

With violence flaring in the region, neither the government nor the antiquities authority have ever pressed for renewed archaeological inspection at the holy site, as required by law, and instead rely on police for reports of any unauthorized building at the bitterly contested site.

If an Islamic convert is deeply convicted of the future promises of the Koran and other religious teachings of Islam, he will do what the suicide bombers did in the three American owned hotels in Amman. It is true religious fanaticism at its peak. This week’s Jordanian event brought to my mind a Supplement we issued last May (2005) to Archive Prophecy Updates 164B and 178B, both issued in March

and June of 2004.

Last week (April 2005) a young 16 year boy, wearing an explosive belt, was arrested by Israeli guards at a check point. He was unable to unleash his deadly cargo. When he was questioned afterwards he told the Israeli authorities he did it because he could never go to paradise and be able to have sex with 72 virgins in the Garden of Eden unless he died as a martyr for the cause of Allah.

I do not, have not, and never will, believe that it is possible to establish a democracy in this vast tract of society that condones, and even encourages, this ungodly extremism of Islamic madness.

Since I believe that only the Second Advent of Christ is the only way this madness will end, and that a brief false peace will be in place before Israel is attacked, I am very anxious to see the forced peace, associated with Ariel Sharon’s unilateral withdrawal plan, come into place.

I am hoping we will see

alse peace come into place as early as 2007.

Whenever it does come into place the attack against Israel from the north will not be too far behind.

The major al-Qaeda

terrorist leader in Iraq, Musab Zarqawi, the ugly Jordanian, is circulating thousands of professionally made CD-rom’s in Iraq and Kuwait. He is making the interim Iraqi Prime Minister Lyad Allawi the prime target of assassination for al-Qaeda.

Zarqawi narrates the 45 minute disk to attract new recruits to his terrorist organization. He relates suicide bombing to the Prophet Mohammed’s attacks against his enemies to incite religious fever in prospective recruits, and uses the Koran to justify the practice of his atrocities.

In his CD he presents how religious rituals are performed called “ceremonies of yearning for the brown-eyed ones,” which are preparatory for the martyrs union with the promised 72 virgins waiting for him in paradise the moment the button is pushed on his suicide belt.

Then male choirs sing with great vigor songs of praise for the martyrs and their coming marriage.

I wonder if they were singing at the wedding in Jordan when they blew them apart, and I wonder if the souls of the suicide bombers are now singing as a trio – “There’s a Hot Time in the Old Town Tonight?”

Allah did not Choose the Route to the Cross for Me – My God did!

The article which follows from Haaretz by News Agencies, is a good illustration of the basic difference between

the teachings of the Koran and the New Testament.

My God, Jesus Christ, chose to walk the path to the cross to give his life for my sins, so that I might receive the blessings of his Father, and attend a heavenly wedding, but the Islamic suicide bombers walk into earthly weddings and give their lives in the slaughter of innocent people to receive the heavenly blessings of their God Allah.

Al-Qaida in Iraq Threatens to Attack Israel

A Web statement Friday in the name of al-Qaida in Iraq, claiming the deadly hotel bombings in Amman, Jordan, included a threat to Israel, Jordan’ s we

The statement noted that Jordan, which it described as Israel’s “buffer zone,” was now “within range” and “it will not be long before raids by the mujahedeen come” to Israel itself.

The statement said that the attacks in Amman were carried out by four Iraqis, including a husband and wife “who chose to accompany her husband to his martyrdom.”

“All of these are Iraqis from the land between the two rivers,” the statement said, alluding to Iraq’s ancient name, Mesopotamia.

“They vowed to die and they chose the shortest route to receive the blessings of God.”

Europe is Afraid of its Own Shadow!

The following extract from an article by Matthias Dopfner in DIE WELT (Germany’s largest daily newspaper) came out almost a year ago, in the November 22, 2004 issue. I agree wholeheartedly with his assessment, which is still being practiced in the face of Islamic terrorism across Europe. It is one of the things that let’s me know the picture presented by prophetic experts of the antichrist coming out of Europe is not true. Europe is scared of its own shadow, but Islam

is not, and the territory it occupies is just as much a part of the ancient Roman Empire as was Europe.

Please bear in mind that this extract was written almost a year before the riots broke out in France two weeks ago.

Matthias Döpfner, Chief Executive of German publisher Axel Springer AG, has written a blistering attack in the daily WELT against the cowardice of Europe in the face of the Islamic threat. Hartmut Lau translated the article for us.

Europe – Thy Name is Cowardice

A few days ago Henryk M. Broder wrote in Welt am Sonntag, “Europe – your family name is appeasement.” It’s a phrase you can’t get out of your head because it’s so terribly true.

Appeasement cost millions of Jews and non-Jews their lives as England and France, allies at the time, negotiated and hesitated too long before they noticed that Hitler had to be fought, not bound to agreements.

Appe asement stabilized communism in the Soviet Union and E

ast Germany in that part of Europe where inhuman, suppressive governments were glorified as the ideologically correct alternative to all other possibilities.

Appeasement crippled Europe when genocide ran rampant in Kosovo and we Europeans debated and debated until the Americans came in and did our work for us.

Rather than protecting democracy in the Middle East, European appeasement, camouflaged behind the fuzzy word “equidistance,” now countenances suicide bombings in Israel by fundamentalist Palestinians.

Appeasement generates a mentality that allows Europe to ignore 300,000 victims of Saddam’s torture and murder machinery and, motivated by the self-righteousness of the peace-movement, to issue bad grades to George Bush. A particularly grotesque form of appeasement is reacting to the escalating violence by Islamic fundamentalists in Holland and elsewhere by suggesting that we should really have a Muslim holiday in Germany.

What else has to happen before the European public and its political leadership get it? There is a sort of crusade underway, an especially perfidious crusade consisting of systematic attacks by fanatic Muslims, focused on civilians and directed against our free, open Western societies.

It is a conflict that will most likely last longer than the great military conflicts of the last century—a conflict conducted by an enemy that cannot be tamed by tolerance and accommodation but only spurred on by such gestures, which will be mistaken for signs of weakness.

Two recent American presidents had the courage needed for anti-appeasement: Reagan and Bush.

Reagan ended the Cold War and Bush, supported only by the social democrat Blair acting on moral conviction, recognized the danger in the Islamic fight against democracy. His place in history will have to be evaluated after a number of years have passed.

In the meantime, Europe sits back with charismatic self-confidence in the multicultural corner instead of defending liberal society’s values and being an attractive center of power on the same playing field as the true great powers, America and China. On the contrary—we Europeans present ourselves, in contrast to the intolerant, as world champions in tolerance, which even (Germany’s Interior Minister) Otto Schily justifiably criticizes. Why? Because we’re so moral

? I fear it’s more because we’re so materialistic.

For his policies, Bush risks the fall of the dollar, huge amounts of additional national debt and a massive and persistent burden on the American economy— because everything is at stake.

While the alleged capitalistic robber barons in American know their priorities, we timidly defend our social welfare systems. Stay out of it!

It could get expensive.

We’d rather discuss the 35-hour workweek or our dental health plan coverage. Or listen to TV pastors preach about “reaching out to murderers.” These days, Europe reminds me of an elderly aunt who hides her last pieces of jewelry with shaking hands when she notices a robber has broken into a neighbor’s house. Europe, thy name is cowardice.

Matthias Döpfner has done it before – criticizing the spineless reaction of the European political elites to the dangers of Islamic terror.

He is by far the most powerful voice in the German media against the reappearance of the rotten European appeasement policies of the 20th century.
