Israel’s Confidence to Control Internal Terror by the Wall is Growing!

The false peace of I Thessalonians 5 can never instill confidence in being a real peace unless Israel believes it can control it by its own power and ability.

They realize the completion of the security barrier wall/ fence is their only hope of controlling internal terror.

There is no way under heaven they would ever trust the Palestinian security forces to control it, even if they tried. For the Israeli mindset of “peace and safety” to be attained, as described in I Thessalonians 5:3,4, the security barrier must be completed. Then they can put their confidence in it and their own ability to monitor its checkpoints (See Archive Prophecy Update 12).

I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

[4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

The goal of Israel is to have a peace it can enforce and control. The goal of the Palestinians and the Arab nations is to completely destroy Israel. The spirit of Jihad is growing in Islam and their terrorist groups are encircling Israel. Once the security barrier is completed, Israel will feel it finally has a system whereby it can maintain “peace and safety” for its population. It will be short lived, because a lightning Arab Jihad will be launched in mass from inside the country by the Palestinians along the entire length of the security barrier. It will be in conjunction with a well coordinated attack from outside the external borders by a union of nine other Islamic nations.

And Israel will be driven into the Negev for a period of some three and on-half years (See Archive Updates 9 to 11).

Ahmadinejad said a new wave of Palestinian attacks would destroy the Jewish state, and he denounced attempts to recognize Israel or normalize relations with it, the media reports said.

He also repeated the words of the founder of Iran’s Islamic revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, who called for the destruction of Israel.

As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map,” Ahmadinejad was reported as saying.

Ahmadinejad came to power in August and replaced Mohammad Khatami, a reformist who advocated inter-civilization dialogue and tried to improve Iran’s relations with the West.

Ahmadinejad referred to Israel’s recent withdrawal from the Gaza Strip as a “trick,” saying Gaza is part of the Palestinian territories and the withdrawal was meant to make Islamic states acknowledge Israel.

Muslim Leader: Messiah Not Coming to Israel

A prominent Israeli-Arab Muslim leader at the weekend blasted Evangelical Christian support for Israel as a misguided effort to hasten the return of the Messiah.

Speaking to WorldNetDaily’s Aaron Klein, Islamic Movement Vice-Chairman Sheikh Kamal Hatib said the “crazy” Christian support “is based on their faith that the return of the Messiah…would be in Israel.”

[Ed. Note – Muslims in general accept that Jesus is the “messiah,” but do not regard him as mankind’s savior. Nor do they accept that he was a Jew, but rather a “Palestinian” adherent of Islam.]

“Therefore,” Hatib continued, “[the Christians] support Israel, because they believe that the continuation of Israel to exist hastens the arrival of the Messiah.”

“Allah forbid!” the sheikh exclaimed.

He surmised that this belief has led these Christians to desire “a war of civilizations” between themselves and Islam, which George W. Bush, a born again Christian, is currently leading.

Ignoring that the Bush-led war on terror began as a direct result of unprecedented Islamic attacks on the United States, Hatib condemned what he saw as the true Christian rationale for the conflict.

“The Messiah can never be the reason for war,” he stated.

Readers of the Bible know that the Book of Revelation tells of a time when Messiah himself will engage in unparalleled acts of warfare prior to establishing his rule from Jerusalem. (Revelation 19:21)

The Bible also indicates Messiah will only return following the rebuilding of Israel’s temple to the Almighty (Malachi 3:1, Ezekiel 43:2-5), something Hatib insists the Jews have no right to do atop Jerusalem’ s Temple Mount.

The sheikh echoed discredited Muslim claims that the mosques currently occupying the Temple Mount have been in existence since the time of Adam, and that the children of Israel never had a temple atop Mount Moriah.

“We the Muslims believe that Al Aqsa was built since the time of Adam – Allah bless him,” Hatib said. “There is a very clear historical event mentioned in the Koran concerning the mosque that was built by Adam and where all our prophets prayed.”

The Koran in fact does not once mention Jerusalem, where, at the time of the Koran’s writing, the Temple Mount w as occupied by

a Byzantine Christian trash dump rather than a mosque.

That did not stop Hatib from insisting the “Al Aqsa [literally ‘the furthest mosque’] of the Koran is the same Al Aqsa of our days, not any other mosque.”

As for the Jewish temples, “we believe that [they] existed, but we deny they were built near Al Aqsa” – in other words, on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount.

“When the First Temple was built by Solomon – Allah bless him – Al Aqsa was already built,” said Hatib. “We don’t believe that a prophet like Solomon would have built the Temple at a place where a mosque existed.”

Islam, of course, had its beginnings some 1,500 years after the time of Solomon.

Klein noted that what the sheikh was saying “contradicts reality. There is no serious scholar or archeologist in the world who argues Al Aqsa was built before the Jewish Temples.”

Hatib’s Islamic Movement is the largest Muslim organization in Israel. It’s top leader, Sheikh Raed Salah, has spent time in an Israeli prison for using the organization

to fund raise for Hamas.

The decade of U.S. involvement in WW-2 and Jacob becoming a nation was from 1941 to 1950 – the number of U.S. hurricanes set a record!

The decade in which the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor and Israel became a nation, 1941 to 1950, was a very turbulent decade in many ways.

One of its turbulent features consisted of the record number of hurricanes that struck the United States during that 10 year period, a record total of 24, and 10 of them were in the major category (3,4, or 5), which was also a record number for those categories.

These were the greatest number of hurricanes that had been recorded in any decade s

ince the first 10 year period in 1851 to 1860.

Things settled down after the record setting 1941 to 1950 decade, but hurricanes have suddenly flared up again at record setting levels in the 2001 to 2010 decade.

We have already had a total of 15 hurricanes strike the United States from 2001 to 2005,

which is only half of the decade from 2001 to 2010. Who knows how many more will be added to the 15 through 2010

? If only two a season strike the U.S. in the next five years it will break the old record of 24.

We have already had 7 major hurricanes affect the U.S. shorelines from 2001 to 2005. If just 1 major hurricane a year struck the U.S. for the next five years, it would break the old record of 10 set in the 1941 to 1950 decade.

Tropical Storm Alpha became the 22nd named tropical storm for 2005, breaking the old record of 21 set in 1933. And hurricane Wilma is the 8th to hit Florida in

the last 15 months.

It seems quite likely that the 2001 to 2010 decade of hurricanes will exceed the record number of 24 set in the decade from 1941 to 1950, nor is there much doubt the old decade record of 10 major ones, which hit the U.S. from 1941 to 1950, will be exceeded by the number reported from 2001 to 2010. These records of 24 and 10 were set in the decade Jacob became a nation once again.

Could it be that the decade of 2001 to 2010, which seems most likely to break all previous records, will be the decade that Jacob’s trouble begins?

The latest facade of the Palestinian Authority (PA) to attempt to play at saying it is fighting terrorist, is the closest thing I have seen to uniting with the Devil to bring him into submission. The Prime Minister of the PA has come up with a crazy plan for satisfying international demands that he disarm all the Palestinian terror groups.

Abbas has decided to unite Fatah, the PA security arm, with a terror group that broke off Fatah, namely, the Al Aksa Martyr’s Brigades, which is one of the most fanatical Palestinian terror groups.

The Israelis will never trust any government that takes in extremists to keep from having to disarm them.

All the fun and games being played in the infrastructure of the unstable mass of confusion, known as the Palestinian Authority, will not bring in an Israeli mindset of “peace and safety.” Such a mindset will only be in place when the Security Wall and Barrier is completed around the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and all the West Bank.

I doubt if such a mindset can be developed before 2007. The blitzkrieg Jihad of 10 Arab nations against Israel will come, but only when Israel has confidence in its wall, its own expertise, and its military, to control any situation.

PA Announces Plan to Disarm Al Aksa Martyrs’ Brigades

The Palestinians plan to begin disarming a major terrorist group in the coming weeks by setting up training camps and incorporating its members into the Palestinian security forces, officials said Sunday.

Dismantling the Al Aksa Martyrs’ Brigades, a violent group linked to the ruling Fatah party, would mark a significant step toward restoring law and order in the chaotic West Bank.

But previous attempts by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas to control terrorists have had little success, and it was unclear whether the latest effort would work.

Abbas is under Israeli and international pressure to disarm terrorist groups, which have killed hundreds of Israelis in the past five years. Abbas refuses to confront the groups, fearing civil war, and instead has sought to co-opt the gunmen with promises of jobs and political participation.

Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei announced the new plan after a meeting of his top security chiefs Sunday.

“We have agreed today to establish five new camps for training and hosting ‘stragglers,”‘ he said, referring to the Al Aksa members. He said the disarmament efforts would begin in the Palestinian cities of Ramallah and Nablus, and then move into other areas.

Palestinian Interior Minister Nasser Yousef, the top Palestinian security commander, said the camps would be operational “within weeks.”

Al Aksa spokesmen in the West Bank and Gaza Strip said they were confident the movement would join the new plan. “In principle there are no problems,” said Abu Ahmed, an Al Aksa official in Gaza.

Israeli officials received the announcement with skepticism.

“There have been a lot of declarations before. The most important thing is to see what kind of action we have,” said Dore Gold, an adviser to Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

Although Al Aksa is linked to Fatah, its thousands of members have fragmented loyalties, and it is unclear whether terrorists would agree to give up their autonomy. The disarmament plan also does not affect Hamas, which has thousands of gunmen and has rejected Abbas’ calls to lay down its weapons.

With Palestinian security forces weakened by years of fighting with Israel, armed groups operate with virtual impunity in the Palestinian areas. The chaos has only heightened since Israel withdrew from Gaza last month, as gunmen vie for power in the wake of the pullout.

Qurei said his security chiefs will next week visit Nablus, one of the most volatile West Bank cities, to evaluate the security situation there and provide the government with its recommendations.

Drawing Physical Water to Picture Spiritual Water!

Two portions from an article in the Jerusalem Post by Nitza Tanner, reminded me of a Prophecy Update we issued last year during the same annual Jewish Festival. The extract from the article “Drawing Deep” follows.

Fed by the Gihon Spring, it was made by King Hezekiah who diverted the water source from outside the city to supply water in time of siege (2 Kings 20:20). This area is used now as a place for tashlich (the ritual ceremony of casting sins upon the water) on Rosh Hashana.

Appropriate to this week, during the Temple period on Succot, the water libation ceremony was performed every morning when a procession was led by the high priest down to the Pool of Siloam to collect water, which was then poured out on the altar in the Temple.”

It is somewhat ironic that Messiah symbolically used the collected water to picture that he was the water who would flow out from the temple to all men, and those who received his word would have their sins cast away by the washing of water by that word.

Succot – The Jewish Feast of Tabernacles – Old & New Testaments
Leviticus 23:39-43 – Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month,

when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the Lord seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and

on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. [40] And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days.

[41] And ye shall keep it a feast unto the Lord seven days in the year. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. [42] Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: [43] That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.

The Jewish Feast of Tabernacles (Tents – Succa – temporary dwellings) began last week and continues into this

week. Although tourism is down drastically, there will be a few thousand Christians that will have processions during the feast. During the time of the earthly ministry of Christ, on the last day of the feast, a special priest would leave the temple mount and proceed southward to the old city of David, under which a spring flowed through the old tunnel of Hezekiah into the Pool of Siloam. Fresh, flowing spring water that flowed throughout the year was looked upon as providing a source of water that provided life year round, as opposed to springs that dried up during the non-rainy season.

So it came to symbolize something that provided eternal life.

The special priest would collect two pints of water in a golden vessel, and then carry it back upon the temple mount. It would then be carried to the top of the very high altar that stood in the court of the men in front of the steps that led up to the door of the temple’s Holy Place.

In the southwestern corner of

the altar a small hole had been made that led down under the altar into the subterranean cavern under the temple. This particular feast is a very joyous one, and as the people waved palm leaves they would cry out to the priest on the southwestern corner, “raise your hand, raise your hand,” to show he had poured t

he water, finally cheering and shouting for joy when he did. The water would proceed under the temple southeastward in a conduit that emptied into the Kidron Valley for drainage of the blood from the sacrifices. It was a picture of living water, which symbolized the living Spirit of

the God of Israel going out from the belly of the temple into the world.

It is very interesting to note the words of Jesus on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, probably uttered immediately after the priest poured the water.

John 7:2,37-39 – Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand. [37] In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. [38] He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. [39] (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
During the time of Christ, the presence of the Spirit of God in the temple’s Holy of Holies was to be proclaimed by Israel throughout the world. It was a single, local, visible temple. Today there are many local temples that God recognizes individually as His local, visible, temples. And it is from these individual bodies that the power of the Spirit is to go forth throughout the world. The first such church was formed and organized by its head

and foundation, Jesus Christ, during His earthly ministry.

This church, which already existed as a local

church of about 120, was empowered by the Spirit at Pentecost after Jesus was glorified. And, just as the water flowing out of the belly of the temple into the world was a symbol of the Holy Spirit, so does the same Spirit flow out of churches of the same like faith and order as the one the Holy Spirit empowered at Pentecost.

All believers are indwelt by the living Spirit of God and make up the family of God, and truly their witness of the Spirit is to flow out from within them into the world, but a local church that teaches, preaches, and practices the faith once delivered to the saints is also indwelt by the same Spirit in a special way, and its testimony that goes out into the world is to proclaim the truths of all the Word written by the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:22 – In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

John 4:24 – God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
