This Blog is a supplement to “Post-Assad Biological and Chemical Use is a Great Future Danger” Blog Issued December 9, 2012.

The Islamic world is not united or strong enough to drive Israel into the Negev at this time.

If the Syrian WMD weaponry falls into Islamist hands, I fear the future war will follow the pattern I outlined in our Blog of December 9, 2012.

I have tracked the movement of Syria’s chemical and biological weaponry since Saddam Hussein and Bashar Assad met at the Syrian-Iraq border.

If I have been able, with my limited intelligence information, to track WMD’s since their meeting, you had better believe the Israelis know exactly where they are at any given movement in time.

Do not be surprised if Israel makes a highly coordinated commando air drop across Syria to take over, remove, destroy, and/or guard the Syrian Inventory of WMD’s.

‘Passing WMDs to Hezbollah – a red line’

Israeli ambassador to US tell Fox News chemical weapons in hands of Shiite terror group would be a ‘game-changer’ for Israel

WASHINGTON – Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren told Fox News that should any chemical weapons reach Hezbollah, Israel would considered it a “red line” and a “game-changer” in the region.

Israel and the West are following the situation in Syria closely, as Syrian President Bashar Assad’s hold on the war-torn country frays.

Syria has the largest arsenal of chemical and biological weapons in the world. The escalating civil war has sparked concerns that Assad’s WMDs may find their ways to terror groups such as Hezbollah; as well as concerns that the desperate ruler may use them on his own people.

“We’re watching the situation very carefully. We have been watching it many months now and it’s not new to us,” Oren told Fox’ Christopher Wallace, on Fox News Sunday.

“Syria has a varied, deep chemical weapons program. It’s geographically dispersed as well and were those weapons to pass into the wrong hands, into Hezbollah’s hands, for example, that would be a game changer for us.”

Asked whether he had any information about the reports suggesting Assad’s army had begun arming bombs with nonconventional weapons, Oren said that he could not confirm the reports.

Israel, he said, “Has a very clear red line, about those chemical weapons, passing into the wrong hands. Can you imagine, if Hezbollah, with its 70,000 rockets, got its hands on chemical weapons, that could kill thousands of people.”

US President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton both said that any deployment or use of Damascus chemical weapons would constitute a red line for Washington.

Obama delivered a stern warning to the Syrian regime, saying that “If you make the tragic mistake of using these weapons, there will be consequences, and you will be held accountable.” Clinton reiterated the warning.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon also warned the Syrian president against committing an “outrageous crime” warning it would have “huge consequences.” NATO joined in on the forewarning, saying that “Any use of chemical weapons by Syria’s government would prompt an immediate international response.”

Israel, Oren said “Support (Obama’s) red line as well, and Prime Minister Netanyahu has come out publicly and supported President Obama’s red lines regarding the use of chemical weapons in Syria.

“The Jihad presence is big and getting bigger. And the longer the conflict goes on there, the bigger it will get.

“We have long advocated for Bashar Assad’s departure, long before, actually the outbreak of hostilities. We came to the administration, years ago and said Bashar Assad is too reckless. His father was, remember Hafez? He was reckless, but somehow predictable – reckless but somehow responsible. His son is reckless and irresponsible and ruthless.”

Assad, Oren continued, “Has provided 70,000 rockets to Hezbollah in Lebanon, tens of thousands of rockets to terrorists everywhere. He had tried to create a nuclear facility, secretly. Hafez Assad probably would have never done something like that.

“So, he has to go. He is a loose cannon throughout the region and a danger to the entire region. If he goes now, we would view that as a positive development. He’s an ally of Iran. He’s an ally of Hezbollah. We understand that if Jihadists were to come in, it wouldn’t be good. But, it perhaps wouldn’t be as bad as the current situation.”

Looks Like WMD Speculation of Update 137E May be Correct!

In an early Prophecy Update in our Archives, issued in January of 2001, titled, “Significant World and Mid-East Events,” I reported what was a rather strange event on the Syrian border involving two regimes that had never liked each other. I now believe it likely that it was much more significant that I thought at the time. An extract from it reads:

“The beginnings of a pattern of military unity between Syria, Iran, and Iraq are now emerging in the Mid-East. Iraq recently conducted large scale military maneuvers on the Syrian border, reportedly by prior agreement with Syria’s new President, Bashar Assad. Assad then made a trip to Iran to hold talks with Iranian President Mohammad Khatami. The talks were described as a strategic dialogue.”

I now believe those military exercises could well have been maneuvers to prepare for the contingency of a possible future transfer of Iraqi WMD into Syria in the event of a U.S. attack against Iraq.

In Special Prophecy Update Number 81A, August 17, 2002, I quoted the January Update of 2001, and the following extract is from 81A.

“In previous Updates we have told how recent prisoner exchanges from previous wars have softened the bitterness between them. The relations between Iraq and Syria, which are ruled by two rival wings of the Baath party, were severed in the eighties, but have been on the mend since 1997, fueled mainly by trade links. We have covered these trade links in detail in previous Updates, as well as the sneaky way that Syria is militarily assisting Iraq and receiving oil benefits in return. So, as much as Syria and Iran do not like, or trust, Saddam Hussein, any attack against Israel must include Iraq in order to succeed. This is one of the reasons that Bashar, last month, sent a message to Saddam on the thirty-fourth anniversary of his rival Baath party rising to power in Iraq. In the message he underlined his desire to boost the brotherly ties between Iraq and Syria. A Jordanian newspaper, Al-Hilal, reported that last week Syrian President Bashar al-Assad met with the Iraqi President Saddam Hussein on the border between the two countries. The article said Assad took his brother, Maher, and the head of Syria’s Intelligence Service with him to the meeting. During the meeting the report stated that Saddam presented Assad with an ancient rifle taken from the Iraqi Museum.”

Since the conquest of Iraq, we have only found small amounts of Mustard and Sarin gases in-country. I have always believed Saddam destroyed most, but not ALL of his WMD. But where was it? So, in Update 137E I speculated that, based on the extracts from Update 1 in January of 2001 and Update 81A in August of 2002, what was left of Saddam’s WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction), may well have been transferred by convoy into Syria. And, a recent report obtained from the WorldNetDaily gives me reason to believe my analysis was more than speculation. It will be very interesting to see just how much was dumped into Syria. “In the Spring of 2002, Saddam Hussein and Bashar Assad, the President of Syria, had a meeting at the border between Iraq and Syria. As far as I know, this was their only meeting. I must confess that, at the time the meeting occurred, its immediate purpose puzzled me. The Baath parties of Syria and Iraq had not been on friendly terms up to that point in time. As I recall, Saddam presented Bashar with a large, ancient rifle as a present. A year later, after their meeting, Operation Iraqi Freedom put Saddam on the run, and no weapons of mass destruction (WMD) have yet been found in appreciable amounts in Iraq. This has caused me to suspect that the major purpose for the border meeting was to discuss the transfer of the Iraqi WMD into Syria for safekeeping if the United States were to attack Iraq. I admit this is speculation, but time will tell!

Syria is still continuing its support for the terrorist groups, whose suicide bombers have taken a great toll of Israeli lives, and it is continuing its program for the development of WMDs. Bashar Assad is now the main troublemaker in the Middle East. Assad and Hassan Nasrallah, the head of the Hizbollah, a large terrorist army in southern Lebanon, have met on many occasions. Countless stockpiles of weaponry have flowed freely from Iran to Hizbollah military camps across Syria for years. Syria, which in reality has control of Lebanon, and refers to it as “greater” Syria, could cut off this horrendous buildup of firearms, explosives, and missiles to Hizbollah, but it’s leader encourages, rather than hinders, all activity that will lead to the destruction of Israel.

Without question, the majority of foreign fighters captured in Iraq are Syrian and Lebanese. The New York Times quoted an intelligence agent as saying more than 60 percent of all those captured were of Syrian origin, and the London Times has indicated that many of them are being trained in Syria to kill Americans in Iraq. According to the article, three of the trainees, calling themselves Martyrs of Islam, say that 140 men have entered Syria to increase their skills in terrorist killing methods.

As you know, from my many articles on the subject, I believe that the antichrist is likely to come from Syria. I keep my prophetic eye keyed on Syria. If a coup should occur in Syria, and a new leader immerge who possesses bonding skills between the other Islamic nations, I recommend watching him like a hawk.

My reason for believing antichrist will come out of Syria, or the area immediately surrounding it, can be found in Prophecy Updates 62 to 70, (Those without alphabetic suffixes) in our Archives. (END OF QUOTE FROM SPECIAL PROPHECY UPDATE NUMBER 137E)

The following information was sent to me by my family physician, who had received it from WorldNetDaily.com. Over the last few months, it seems that the U. S. Intelligence community has received new evidence that reports a sizeable amount of Iraqi WMD systems, components and platforms, were transferred to Syria during the weeks leading up to the launching of operation Iraqi Freedom. However, I assure you, until an absolutely provable package is in hand, one that liberal congressmen and news media cannot degrade in another congressional investigation, it is debatable if the information will be released to the public.

The convoys were first spotted by U.S. satellites in early 2003, but the contents of the WMD were not confirmed. Confirmation came later from Iraqi scientists and technicians questioned by a U.S. team that was searching for Saddam’s conventional weapons, but all they knew for sure was that the convoys were headed west to Syria. However, over the last few months, U.S. Intelligence managed to track the Iraqi WMD convoy to Lebanon’s Bekka Valley, the home of the Palestinian terror group Hizbullah. Through the use of satellites, electronic monitoring devices, and human intelligence, the intelligence community believes that much, if not all, of Iraq’s biological and chemical weapons assets are being protected by Syria with Iranian help, in the Bekka Valley. I doubt if the Syrians or Iranians would be crazy enough to release any of them to Hizbullah at the present time.

Saddam and Assad met at the border in August of 2002. According to this latest intelligence report, the Syrians received word form Saddam in late 2002 that the Iraqi WMD would be arriving, and Syrian units began digging huge trenches in the Bekka Valley. According to the report, Saddam paid more than 30 million in cash for Syria to build the pits, acquire the Iraqi WMD, and then conceal them. At first, U.S. Intelligence thought Iraqi WMD were stored in northern Syria, but in February of 2003 a Syrian defector told U.S. Intelligence the WMD was buried in or around three Syrian Air Force Installations. Intelligence sources said the Syrians kept all the dual-use nuclear components for themselves, but transferred any incriminating evidence to Lebanon.

Why did things get so bad?

Largely because prophecy disappeared from the land and strong central authority was largely lacking.

When the prophets were around and leadership was strong, heresy was much more difficult. A prophet talked to God and he’d straighten a heretic right out. No one could deny basic tenets of Judaism in the face of prophecy and open miracles. In the period of the Judges and the First Temple an individual could always make a free-will decision to reject Judaism, worship idols and even use the impure spirituality of idolatry to perform magic and divination, but the presence of prophets and strong leadership made it virtually impossible to undermine the philosophy and practices of Judaism.

But when prophecy disappeared and central authority was weakened, it became easier for people to stray and for various holy institutions (like the High Priesthood) to become corrupt.

Prophecy disappeared because the Jewish people had damaged their relationship with God. They were spiritually weaker and could not do the same intense spiritual work required to achieve prophecy(6). To be a prophet you have to perfect yourself spiritually, you have to have total self control. It’s the ultimate Jewish expression of who being a great man is. The sages say, “Who is a great man? He who conquers his inclination (controls himself).” [Ethics of the Fathers, 4:1]

Prophecy in the Jewish understanding is not just the ability to predict the future. It is a state of transcendence of the physical world. It means the prophet has entered such a high plane of understanding that he or she is able to communicate with the Infinite and access information and understanding inaccessible to a normal person.

Moses was the ultimate prophet ― that is he reached the highest level of prophecy that is humanly possible. But there were many others ― hundreds of thousands, according to the Talmud ― who achieved lesser levels and were prophets. In the story of Saul, we talked about how the Jewish people consulted the prophets on everything, including lost objects. But that phenomenon disappears during the early years of the second Temple. “After the later prophets, Haggai, Zecharia, and Malachi, had died, the prophetic spirit disappeared from the Jewish people…” (Yoma 9b)(7)

If anyone is interested in how to become a prophet there is an instruction book available. It called “Path of the Just” and it was written in the 18th century by the great Kabbalist, Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzato, also known as the Ramchal. This is a guidebook on how to get complete control of yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually so you can transcend this world and become a prophet. In his book, The Way of God, Rabbi Luzzatto clearly defines the concept of prophecy:

The main concept of true prophecy is therefore that a living person achieves such an attachment and bond with God. This in itself is certainly a very high degree of perfection. Besides this, however, it is often accompanied by certain information and enlightenment. Through prophecy one can gain knowledge of many lofty truths among God’s hidden mysteries. These things are perceived very clearly… Part of a prophet’s career may include being sent on a mission by God(8).

But even if you master that book, you will not be a prophet. Why not? Because the gates of prophecy are closed to us. Why? Because prophecy is only possible if the rest of the Jewish people are also spiritually elevated.

As an individual you can reach a tremendously high level but you can only reach so high. To get all the way to the top and break through the threshold, you’ve got to “stand on the shoulders” of the Jewish people because there has to be a minimum level of spirituality of the entire nation upon which to rest yourself so that you can reach the level of prophecy. If the nation drops below that level, that threshold, it doesn’t matter how much you stand on your tippy-toes and reach up, you’re not going to succeed. And during the Second Temple period, we’re going to see the Jewish people dropping below a certain threshold of spirituality which they’re never going to attain again during the entire period.

As we saw from the Purim story-by the time we arrive at the period of the Second Temple, God’s presence is hidden, the Ark of the Covenant is hidden as is prophecy.

New course aims to train next generation of Jewish prophets for first time since days of Second Temple

In biblical times they could be found on every street corner, preaching God’s word to sinners in a rumbling voice and shining eyes. A new course opening this week aims to restore passed glory and train the next generations of Jewish prophets – for the first time since the days of the Second Temple.

“The Cain and Able School of Prophets” is not located on a high mountain or on the banks of a serene river, but rather in the heart of the southern Tel Aviv neighborhood of Florentine.

According to Jewish tradition, prophecy ended among the Jewish people after the Second Temple era and will only return in the generation of redemption, which will see the arrival of the Messiah. The saying “Prophecy given to fools” refers to those trying to communicate prophecies since the Temple’s destruction.

But Rabbi Shmuel Portman Hapartzi, founder of the school of prophets, who says he is affiliated with Chabad’s messianic stream, believes that the generation of redemption has already arrived and that prophecies are permitted again.

“Our generation has been declared by many as the first generation taking part in the experience of redemption,” Hapartzi explains in an introduction to his curriculum. “The Cain and Able School of Prophets aims to provide the generation of young prophets with authorized sources to direct their spiritual experiences to way of truth and honesty.”

So what does one need to know to become a modern prophet? According to the course’s syllabus, the future prophets will learn about face reading, dream interpretation and ways to achieve divine spirit.

The school’s core studies also include an introduction on the angels’ ways of communication and participation in our lives.

The course will take place on Tuesdays at the Palterin Shel Melech spiritual center in Tel Aviv. Each participant attending 10 one-hour lectures will receive a prophet’s diploma. Registration costs NIS 200 (about $52).

‘I’m not a freak’
Although Chabad does have an active messianic faction, not everyone in the Hasidic movement approves of this initiative. “It’s a shame that delusional people, who do not represent the rabbi or his doctrine, continue to desecrate his legacy and drag Chabad’s name to bizarre areas.”

But Shmuel Hapartzi insists he is completely serious. “I’m not a freak. I have solid answers to every single question on this subject. I have been collecting material for the school for several years now. I am proficient in the material and I have translated most of it from Russian to Hebrew.”

Has the curriculum been approved by any rabbis?

“Everything being studied is based on biblical principles.”

How many prophets are you planning on training?

“We already have 10 students who will start the basic course this week. The good students will continue and, with God’s help, achieve divine spirit and serve as prophets. There are several levels of prophecy I hope my students will reach.”

Aren’t you afraid people will start prophesying on the streets and it will all go out of control?

“I wish. But it won’t just happen without a person being chosen from above.”

Do you have any ways to identify false prophets?

“The truth is that there are many institutions today for the study of Kabbalah, mysticism and black witchcraft, and it does confuse people. I teach strictly kosher material and teach my students to distinguish between true prophecy and false prophecy and between a real dream and a false dream.”

How can you be trusted?

“Because I’ve started doing it too recently.”

During the next four years of the Obama administration the Middle East will experience ever increasing inventories of different Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear WMD’s in the secret storehouses of Islamic nations. Because of staunch theological religious differences between the many sects classifying themselves as Muslims, it has been difficult to unite as one fighting force since the Umayyad Caliphate. The next four years will be primarily a time of preparing to protect themselves from each other. Then they will use the strength they have acquired to attack Israel at some point in time during the administration that follows Obama.

DANIEL 11:35 ENDS THE HISTORICAL TIME OF ANTIOCHUS EPIPHANES AND THE JEWISH MACCABEES

DANIEL 11:35 – And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

Verse 35 says the time of the end is yet for a time appointed, and verse 36 begins to describe the principle figure who will institute it, the last king of the north who we identify as the Antichrist, NOT Antiochus Epiphanes

Daniel’s Prophecies of the Persian kings, Alexander, his four generals who split his kingdom into four divisions, the times of the kings of the north and south through the end of the reign of king of the north Antiochus Epiphanes and the Maccabees, were fulfilled to the letter, as will be the last king of Chapter 11, who is still in our future. He will be Antichrist, the king of the north, ruling over the same general area as the Persian Kings and Alexander.

DANIEL 11:36 TO 12:2 BEGINS AN EXPOSITION OF THE OLD TESTIMENT CHARACTEREISTICS AND ACTIONS OF ANTICHRIST UP TO MESSIAH’S 2ND ADVENT AT ARMAGEDDON.

DANIEL 11:36 – And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

This king of the north Antichrist is classified by his self-centered “will.” There are 11 Old Testament words translated as “will.” This one, in context, is the strongest form of self-will. This cannot be referring to Antiochus because he worshipped the Greek god Jupiter Olymplus. This man is so filled with himself he thinks himself to be the Mahdi of Islam, filled with the fullness of the spirit of the one god Allah and, as such, would magnify himself above every god.

The “God of gods” is the God of Abraham for both Jews and Christians.

The descendents of Ishmael were also the descendants of Abraham, but they forsook the “God of gods” when they swallowed the spirit of Antichrist by the false teaching of the false Prophet Muhammad, who introduced them to the false god Allah.

The things spoken against the “God of gods” are “marvelous” only in his amazing audacity to dare to speak such blaspheme against the true God. But God will allow Antichrist to do it, and to prosper, “till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.”

This “indignation” determined is the consummation of the tribulation period which is described in Daniel 9:27d. It represents the vials of wrath that follow the seventh trumpet in Revelation while the saved are judged in heaven by Christ for rewards.

Daniel 9:27d – Even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Syria Rebels Tied to Al Qaeda Play Key Role in War

BAGHDAD — The lone Syrian rebel group with an explicit stamp of approval from Al Qaeda has become one of the uprising’s most effective fighting forces, posing a stark challenge to the United States and other countries that want to support the rebels but not Islamic extremists.

Money flows to the group, the Nusra Front, from like-minded donors abroad. Its fighters, a small minority of the rebels, have the boldness and skill to storm fortified positions and lead other battalions to capture military bases and oil fields. As their successes mount, they gather more weapons and attract more fighters.

The group is a direct offshoot of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Iraqi officials and former Iraqi insurgents say, which has contributed veteran fighters and weapons.

“This is just a simple way of returning the favor to our Syrian brothers that fought with us on the lands of Iraq,” said a veteran of Al Qaeda in Iraq, who said he helped lead the Nusra Front’s efforts in Syria.

The United States, sensing that time may be running out for Syria’s president, Bashar al-Assad, hopes to isolate the group to prevent it from inheriting Syria or fighting on after Mr. Assad’s fall to pursue its goal of an Islamic state.

As the United States pushes the Syrian opposition to organize a viable alternative government, it plans to blacklist the Nusra Front as a terrorist organization, making it illegal for Americans to have financial dealings with the group and most likely prompting similar sanctions from Europe. The hope is to remove one of the biggest obstacles to increasing Western support for the rebellion: the fear that money and arms could flow to a jihadi group that could further destabilize Syria and harm Western interests.

When rebel commanders met Friday in Turkey to form a unified command structure at the behest of the United States and its allies, jihadi groups were not invited.

The Nusra Front’s ally, Al Qaeda in Iraq, is the Sunni insurgent group that killed numerous American troops in Iraq and sowed widespread sectarian strife with suicide bombings against Shiites and other religious and ideological opponents. The Iraqi group played an active role in founding the Nusra Front and provides it with money, expertise and fighters, said Maj. Faisal al-Issawi, an Iraqi security official who tracks jihadi activities in Iraq’s Anbar Province.

But blacklisting the Nusra Front could backfire. It would pit the United States against some of the best fighters in the insurgency that it aims to support. While some Syrian rebels fear the group’s growing power, others work closely with it and admire it — or, at least, its military achievements — and are loath to end their cooperation.

Leaders of the Free Syrian Army, the loose-knit rebel umbrella group that the United States seeks to bolster, expressed exasperation that the United States, which has refused to provide weapons throughout the conflict that has killed more than 40,000 people, is now opposing a group they see as a vital ally.

The Nusra Front “defends civilians in Syria, whereas America didn’t do anything,” said Mosaab Abu Qatada, a rebel spokesman. “They stand by and watch; they look at the blood and the crimes and brag. Then they say that Nusra Front are terrorists.”

He added, “America just wants a pretext to intervene in Syrian affairs after the revolution.”

The United States has been reluctant to supply weapons to rebels that could end up in the hands of anti-Western jihadis, as did weapons that Qatar supplied to Libyan rebels with American approval. Critics of the Obama administration’s Syria policy counter that its failure to support the rebels helped create the opening that Islamic militants have seized in Syria.

The Nusra Front’s appeals to Syrian fighters seem to be working.

At a recent meeting in Damascus, Abu Hussein al-Afghani, a veteran of insurgencies in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, addressed frustrated young rebels. They lacked money, weapons and training, so they listened attentively.

He told them he was a leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, now working with a Qaeda branch in Syria, and by joining him, they could make their mark. One fighter recalled his resonant question: “Who is hearing your voice today?”

On Friday, demonstrators in several Syrian cities raised banners with slogans like, “No to American intervention, for we are all Jebhat al-Nusra,” referring to the group’s full name, Ansar al-Jebhat al-Nusra li-Ahl al-Sham, or Supporters of the Front for Victory of the People of Syria. One rebel battalion, the Ahrar, or Free Men, asked on its Facebook page why the United States did not blacklist Mr. Assad’s “terrorist” militias.

Another jihadist faction, the Sahaba Army in the Levant, even congratulated the group on the “great honor” of being deemed terrorists by the United States.

Even antigovernment activists who are wary of the group — some deride it as “the Taliban” — said the blacklisting would be ineffective and worsen strife within the uprising. To isolate the group, they say, the United States should support mainstream rebel military councils and Syrian civil society, like the committees that have sprung up to run rebel-held villages.

The Nusra Front is far from the only fighting group that embraces a strict interpretation of Islam. Many battalions have adopted religious slogans, dress and practices, in what some rebels and activists call a pragmatic shift to curry favor with Islamist donors in Persian Gulf countries. One activist said he had a fighter friend with a fondness for Johnnie Walker Black who is now sporting a beard to fit in.

Not all religiously driven rebel groups embrace the Qaeda vision of global jihad, the International Crisis Group said in a recent report. Some have criticized the Nusra Front as serving the interests of the Assad government, which seeks to paint its opposition as terrorists and foreigners.

The Nusra Front is the only Syrian rebel group explicitly endorsed by Al Qaeda in online forums, the report said.

The group gained prominence with suicide bombings in Damascus and Aleppo in early 2012 that targeted government buildings but caused heavy civilian casualties. It was the first Syrian insurgent organization to claim responsibility for suicide and car bomb attacks that killed civilians.

Many of its members — Syrians, Iraqis and a few from other countries —fought in Iraq, where the Syrian government helped funnel jihadis to battle the American occupation.

In Iraq’s Diyala Province, a former member of Al Qaeda in Iraq said that a leader and many members of the group were fighting in Syria under the Nusra Front’s banner. An Iraqi security official there said they travel through Iraqi Kurdistan and Turkey to Syria.

“They are well trained mentally and militarily,” Major Issawi, the official in Anbar, said. “They are so excited about the fighting in Syria. They see Syria as a dream coming true.”

Syrian fighters also have Iraq experience. Abu Hussein, a commander of the Tawhid and Jihad brigade, which is not slated for American blacklisting and has taken a leading role in many battles, said he fought with Al Qaeda in Iraq for six years.

“I decided to return to Syria because our people need me,” he said, adding that his group was attracting secular young men because it could provide ammunition, training and medical care that non-jihadist groups could not.

A 35-year-old Syrian musician who gave his name as Hakam said he decided to join an Islamist fighting group because he saw how well it planned and fought and “how determined and professional they are.”

He said that he had rarely prayed and had been a drummer in a casino — he apologized for mentioning the word, which had become distasteful to him — but that now he was pious and newly disciplined. He said that the group’s goal was an Islamic state in Syria ruled by strict Sunni Muslims, and that it would fight any secular government.

“Our mission won’t end after the fall of the regime,” he said.

Some Syrians have complained of Nusra fighters trying to impose religious strictures on others. But Brian Fishman, a fellow at the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point, said that the Nusra Front appeared to have learned from the mistakes of Al Qaeda in Iraq, which alienated Iraqis with its sectarian attacks and grisly beheading videos.

The Nusra Front appears to be refraining from attacking other Syrian groups, with the exception of clashes with Kurds in the north, where some rebels believe a major Kurdish militia sides with the government.

Thamir al-Sadi, an Iraqi from Diyala who joined the regular Free Syrian Army, said that would change, predicting infighting after Mr. Assad’s fall.

“After the fall of Bashar there will be so many battles between these groups,” he said. “All the groups will unite against al-Nusra. They are like a snake that is spreading its poison.”

I first came to know the Muslim Brotherhood when I was stationed in the Middle East in 1952 and 1953. A year after I returned to the U.S. the Muslim Brotherhood and affiliates made an attempt to assassinate Egyptian President Nasser. Nasser quickly abolished the Brotherhood and it was forced to sink underground. The Army and Brotherhood have never been friends.

I expect the Egyptian army, at some point in time during Obama’s Administration, to be put in a position to pull off a coup and put one of their own in power, as they have done in the past. I have personally watched Egyptian history unfurl for 60 years as described in the excerpt from wikipedia encyclopedia.

When the Antichrist charges west across the northern coastline of the Sinai to conquer all of Egypt, I suspect the Muslim Brotherhood will attack the Egyptian Army from within as allies of the Syrian Antichrist, as I have outlined in the Blog following the Wikipedia Excerpt.

After the attempted assassination of Gamal ‘Abd al-Nasser, in 1954, a member of the secret apparatus was accused by the authorities of being the perpetrator of the attempt. Nasser then abolished the Brotherhood and imprisoned and punished thousands of its members.

Many members of the Brotherhood were held for years in prisons and concentration camps, where they were sometimes tortured, during Nasser’s rule. In 1964 there was a minor thaw when writer Sayyid Qutb was released from prison only to be arrested again along with his brother Muhammad in August 1965, when he was accused of being part of a plot to overthrow the state—to assassinate the President and other Egyptian officials and personalities[10] — and subjected to what some consider a show trial.[11] The trial culminated in a death sentence for Qutb and six other members of the Muslim Brotherhood and on 29 August 1966, he was executed by hanging.

Qutb became the Brotherhood’s most influential thinker. He argued that Muslim society was no longer Islamic and must be transformed by an Islamic vanguard through violent revolution. To restore Islam from modern jahiliyya Muslim states must be overthrown. While Qutb’s ideology became very popular elsewhere, in Egypt the Brotherhood’s leadership distanced itself from his revolutionary ideology, adhering instead to a nonviolent reformist strategy, to which it has remained ever since.

Nasser’s successor, Anwar Sadat, became president of Egypt in 1970 and gradually released imprisoned Brothers and enlisted their help against leftist groups. The organisation was tolerated to an extent, but remained technically illegal and subject to periodic crackdowns. Eventually the Brotherhood was key in the assassination of Anwar Sadat.

In the 1970s, a large student Islamic activist movement took shape, independently from the Brotherhood. Sadat himself became the enemy of the Brotherhood and other Islamist groups after signing a peace agreement with Israel in 1979, and was assassinated by a violent Islamist group Tanzim al-Jihad on October 6, 1981.

In the 1980s, during Hosni Mubarak’s presidency, many of the student Islamist activists joined the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood dominated the professional and student associations of Egypt and was famous for its network of social services in neighborhoods and villages.[12] In order to quell the Brotherhood’s renewed influence, the government again resorted to repressive measures starting in 1992.[13] Despite mass arrests, police harassment and an essentially closed political system, Brotherhood candidates have made strong showings in several parliamentary elections.

Over the next ten years the Brotherhood made repeated calls for a more democratic political system. In 1997 Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide Mustafa Mashhur told journalist Khalid Daoud[14] that he thought Egypt’s Coptic Christians and Orthodox Jews should pay the long-abandoned jizya poll tax, levied on non-Muslims in exchange for protection from the state, rationalized by the fact that non-Muslims are exempt from military service while it is compulsory for Muslims. He went on to say, “we do not mind having Christians members in the People’s Assembly…the top officials, especially in the army, should be Muslims since we are a Muslim country … This is necessary because when a Christian country attacks the Muslim country and the army has Christian elements, they can facilitate our defeat by the enemy.”[15] According to The Guardian newspaper, the proposal caused an “uproar” among Egypt’s six million Coptic Christians and “the movement later backtracked.”[16]

If the fighting becomes more violent I would not be surprised to see the Egyptian Army step in to prevent the Muslim Brotherhood President from assuming total power in the Land of the Pharaohs. It may not happen at this time, but I do believe it will happen at some point in time before Obama’s Administration leaves office. I expect the Egyptian President to back down this time to the opposition.

While Israel remains surrounded in the Negev Wilderness for some 1260 days after the United Nations brokers a truce or hudna agreed to by Islam and Israel, the Antichrist will continue his military conquests. He will conquer Egypt, establish his capital at Cairo, and begin to establish a new Caliphate across all of Africa north and west of the Sahara Desert, all of the Middle East south of the Black Sea, all the land to the south and west of a line from Georgia to Kyrgyzstan to Karachi, and all of Indonesia.

Daniel 11:41 – He shall enter also into THE GLORIOUS LAND, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these SHALL ESCAPE out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

The ancient boil of conflict between the descendants of Jacob, Ishmael, and the six sons of Keturah, with all its internal blend of impurities, is finally coming to a head in the Middle East. The existing world mindset toward peace will be shattered suddenly by a rapid blitzkrieg attack from the north by Syria. In league with Syria will be Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Sudan, Morocco, and Turkey.

Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Iran will move rapidly southward through the “glorious land” of Israel like a fast moving thunderstorm, bypassing the land where the people of Moab, Ammon, and Edom were settled when Daniel wrote his prophecies in about 600 B.C. The descendants of Edom (Jacob’s brother), and Ammon and Moab (the sons of Lot), as found on every published map for this time period, were settled immediately to the southeast, east, and northeast of the Dead Sea, precisely in the country we know as Jordan today. Hence, we can know that the antichrist will bypass Jordan as he moves south through Israel. Why would he bypass Jordan? She has no strategic, political, or economic advantage to offer him, but the Suez Canal and Egypt do, so he will head southwest toward that area after having driven the woman Israel into the Negev Wilderness south of Beersheba. Additionally, I am convinced when he first enters the glorious land, the Palestinian terror groups in Jordan will rise up against the King, and overthrow the monarchy.

Revelation 12:6 – And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Daniel 11:42 – He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

The political, geophysical, and military positioning of Syria, Iran, and Iraq, from a prospective of having world influence, literally stinks. But the position of Egypt’s Suez Canal, and Cairo, her capital, is outstanding. The antichrist is supposed to be a man of genius in all areas. That being the case, he would be worse than a military academy dropout were he not to take the Suez Canal, and then make Cairo his empire’s capital.

Daniel 11:43 – But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

The three most “precious things” in Egypt are: the Suez Canal, the Nile River and its Delta, and Cairo, its capital. He will conquer the Suez Canal zone and all of Egypt. So just what is Egypt? Many are inclined to establish it as the land bordered on the north by the Mediterranean Sea, on the west by Libya, on the south by Sudan, on the southeast by the Red Sea, and on the northeast by its Sinai border with Gaza and Israel’s Negev. And, geographically, that is quite correct. However, in reality, that is not Egypt. The real Egypt, where her people live, is much, much, smaller. Egypt is the land along her north and east coastlines up to about two miles inland, the Nile Delta, and the land along the Nile River extending about fifteen miles either side of its banks.

The antichrist will send messages to leaders of two of the original 10 nations confederated with him, namely Libya and Sudan, requesting them to mass their troops along the northern coastal border with Libya, and along the border where the Nile enters Egypt from Sudan. This will cause the diversion of some Egyptian troops away from Cairo and the Suez Canal in order to protect their western and southern borders. And this will allow the antichrist to rapidly push across the Suez Canal into Cairo and along her western and eastern coastlines, then to quickly progress southward down the Nile with little resistance. I believe he will control Egypt within two weeks after he reaches the Suez Canal.

Once he has conquered Egypt, he will make an assessment of his geopolitical position. After having done so, he would be a military fool to return to his home country. He will establish his capital at Cairo, and will remain there for more than three years. After three years he will receive news that causes him to quickly return to Jerusalem. If a military leader plans to put down his roots for a while, what would be one of his major concerns? The relationship he has with the rulers of the nations that are on his immediate borders. That is, how sure he is they will not pull a surprise attack on him. So, through the prestigious position he has gained in the eyes of the Islamic world by this time, it will allow him to use the terrorist groups, already in Sudan and Libya, to overthrow their leaders, and in their place to install two of his stooges, where they will remain in control for some three years. He will already have plucked up the ruler of Lebanon, and replaced him with a stooge. It will surprise me if Lebanon, Sudan, and Libya are not the countries from which his stooges will rule.

Daniel 7:7,24 – I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were THREE of the FIRST horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. [24] And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue THREE kings.

I believe the kings (rulers) of Lebanon, Libya, and Sudan will be subdued by being personally plucked up by the roots out of their positions of leadership in their own countries, and replaced by puppet rulers who do exactly as the antichrist directs.

Daniel 11:43 – But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

“At his steps” means “companionship” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance & Wilson’s O.T. Word Studies). This expression also appears in Judges 4:10, where it appears as “at his feet.”

Judges 4:10 – And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.

It represents an Old Testament word picture of a conquered leader or country laying yearly tribute payments before the king of the conquering country, who is setting on his throne, and the tribute is being placed at his feet on the steps leading up to his throne. So I believe the antichrist will place his puppet rulers on the thrones of Lebanon, Syria, and Sudan as those who are in “companionship” with him.

ESTABLISHMENT OF MAHDI ANTICHRIST’S GREAT CALIPHATE!

After the Antichrist conquers Egypt the initial ten Islamic countries that supported him will be quickly joined by a multiplicity of Islamic nations. His great Caliphate will include Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, all the countries that make up the Saudi Arabian Peninsula, Israel north of Beersheba, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, many of the southern states of the former Soviet Union with large Arab populations, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Having gone to military schools, lived among, worked with, and trained those of the Islamic faith as a much younger man, plus being familiar with prophecy since my youth, I have not only been waiting for many years for the true Messiah, Jesus Christ, but I have also been waiting for the arrival of the 12th Imam on the scene prior to the arrival of Jesus. I have long believed the 12th Imam Mahdi will be the 11th horn of Daniel 7, and the first beast of John’s Revelation 13. His coming is the great hope of all Islam. The Iranian President is a fanatical believer of his coming, and believes Mahdi will cause universal acceptance of Allah.

I believe his Caliphate Kingdom will have Cairo as its capital.

For more than three years, with the Suez Canal under his control, he will gain worldwide recognition and acclaim in his capital city of Cairo. Israel will be trapped in the Negev for more than three years (See previous updates), and stability will have come to the troubled Middle East. He will supposedly have done what all nations say they are seeking, that is, brought stability to the Middle East. But, during last year of his rule as Caliph, something will cause him to quickly head for Jerusalem.

John 4:24 – God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

II Timothy 4:3,4 – For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; [4] And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Hebrews 10:25 – Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Faithful Church Members Working in the Millennium

This Series pertains ONLY to what Faithful Church Members in one of the Lord’s local visible New Testament Churches will be doing in the Millennial and Final Heaven Ages.

Almost 10 years ago I received a query from a Pastor and his wife asking the question, what will WE be doing in the 1000 year reign of Christ on the present earth, and in the age of the New Jerusalem, which continues eternally. I am very glad they said WE, because that will allow me to answer the question in a narrow, more defined, manner. Why? Because I do not feel qualified to address the broad subject of how Christ intends to use the much, much, much greater number who will be there, that were never members of one of the Lord’s local New Testament Churches. That vast throng of believers will make the local church members look like one pearl among the sands of an ocean. I was not born in the days of Enoch, or Abraham, or the tabernacle, or the temple. I became a part of a huge family, the family of God, when I was saved at age 12. I united with one of the Lord’s local New Testament Churches by baptism at age 23, and have been the pastor of the church at Dardanelle for 38 years. As you read this Update, please bear one thing in mind constantly – I WILL BE REPLYING ONLY TO THIS QUESTION: “WHAT WILL THE MEMBERS OF THE LORD’S NEW TESTAMENT CHURCHES BE DOING IN THE MILLENNIAL AND HEAVEN AGES?” I WILL SPECIFICALLY DISCUSS ONLY FAITHFUL CHURCH MEMBERS ACTIVITIES IN TWO PERIODS, NAMELY THE MILLENNIAL AND FINAL HEAVEN AGES.

The word disciple or disciples appears more than 270 times in the first five books of the New Testament. They appear in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts. The word disciple or disciples never appears in the 22 books that follow these five books. Why? Because the mistake of redundancy is only made by humans, never by the Holy Spirit, and it would have been redundant to use the word in any of the Epistles. Why? Because all of the 22 Epistles were written to churches or members of churches, and church members were supposed to live as disciples. All men and women benefit from the entire New Testament, and all should read it, but the last 22 Epistles were addressed either to churches or church members, and should be interpreted in that context.

Since the Book of Revelation will be the source of much of my accounting of what church members will be doing in Christ’s Millennial Reign, I will point out that we are told in Revelation 1:4 that it was addressed to the seven churches of Asia.

Revelation 1:4A – John to the seven churches which are in Asia:
And, also please take note that the following expression occurs seven times in Chapters 2 and 3.

“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”

Then, in the last Chapter of Revelation, we find once again it was written to churches.

Revelation 22:16 – I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches.

Please keep this in mind, since I only intend to deal with what the Spirit indicates church members will be doing during the Millennium.

What is a faithful church member? It’s most simplistic outline is found in the fifth book that frequently uses the word disciple or disciples.

Acts 2:41,42 – Then they (1) that gladly received his word (2) were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. [42] And (3) they CONTINUED STEADFASTLY in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

(1) They were eternally saved by putting their faith in God’s word.

(2) Then they were added to the membership of the local church at Jerusalem by baptism.

(3) Then they continued steadfastly in a local body that presented what the Lord had taught the apostles, assembled together in loving fellowship, observed the Lord’s Supper ordinance, and prayed for one another plus the work of the Lord.

These same characteristics for church members are also echoed by Paul and Jude.

I Corinthians 15:58 – Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye STEDFAST, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Jude 1:3 – Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should EARNESTLY CONTEND for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

In this series I will deal with what the church member that overcomes will be doing in heaven. The one who is classified as overcoming meets the criteria of the three previous verses. The one overcoming will have freedom of access to the immediate presence of Christ, who is the tree of life, and paradise is where he positions himself in his millennial reign. He will position himself in the temple and city described by Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 40:2 – In the visions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.

Ezekiel 48:35 – It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The Lord is there.

Ezekiel 43:1-7 – Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looketh toward the east: [2] And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory. [3] And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face. [4] And the glory of the Lord came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east. [5] So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. [6] And I heard him speaking unto me out of the house; and the man stood by me. [7] And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile,

The Son of God has always been represented by the tree of life from the beginning of creation, and it has always been the desire of the Godhead that we partake of him.

Genesis 2:9A,16 – And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; THE TREE OF LIFE also in the midst of the garden, [16] And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

When we repent of our sins and put our faith in the tree of life, Jesus Christ, we spiritually eat his flesh and drink his blood, accepting them as the total offering for our sinful condition, and thereafter we are expected to continue to feed on him through his word as the source of our spiritual strength.

Acts 20:21 – Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 6:53-58 – Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. [54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. [55] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. [56] He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. [57] As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. [58] This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

Jesus, as the tree of life, was not talking about literally eating his flesh and drinking his blood. He spoke of the spiritual partaking of him as Savior through acceptance of his sacrifice as the total atonement for all sins. He made this very clear by informing them he would soon ascend back to heaven, and, after having done so, he would not be available for them to eat his flesh or drink his blood.

John 6:62,63 – What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? [63] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Eleven of the members of the first church, who were with him at the time he gave this discourse, were saved, had met the criteria of having been properly baptized, had continued as steadfast church members, and still desired to continue feeding on his word of life.

John 6:68 – Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

The tree of life, Jesus Christ, initially gives eternal life to the believer, then desires the believer to feed on him to grow in spiritual strength. This is the abundant life promised to a faithful church member. The church member, who has the characteristics of Acts 2:41 & 42, will continue to follow the Lord as his shepherd, daily letting the Lord lead him in and out while feeding on the word he provides each day.

John 10:9,10 – I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. [10] The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The millennial reign of Christ is going to be a time of great learning by all of God’s children, and the closer a believer is positioned to the place where the tree of life, Jesus Christ, positions himself, the more he will learn from the lips of the Master, growing like a spiritual leaf on the tree, and the leaves will go out to share what they learn with the believers located outside the millennial city foretold by the prophet Ezekiel, as well as during the eternal heaven age of the New Jerusalem city that follows, which I will cover in detail in a future Update. The “paradise” of Revelation 2:7 is wherever the “tree of life” positions himself. During his millennial reign he will position himself in the city foretold by Ezekiel, and during the final heaven age he will sit on his throne in the city known as the New Jerusalem.

Revelation 2:7 – He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
