Luke 21:24 – And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
The first part of Luke 21:24 was fulfilled some 40 years after its issue when the Roman Titus carried many Jews into captivity, and in the Bar Kokba revolution when the Roman Hadrian finished their removal.
Even though Israel captured the old city of Jerusalem, the Jews let the Arabs keep administrative control of it, which means it still remains a site “trodden down of the Gentiles.” We are now approaching the time when Jerusalem will again be conquered by Arab Gentiles and they will drive them into the Negev Wilderness, where they will remain for some 3 & ½ prophetic years. The last phrase in Luke 21:24 will be fulfilled when Jesus returns at his Second Advent and Israel charges out of the Negev to take back Jerusalem and then occupy the Land Grant given to Abraham in Genesis 15:18 for 1000 years as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Genesis 15:18-21 – In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates: [19] The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites, [20] And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims, [21] And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.
Zechariah14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
II Corinthians 3:11-16 – For if that (Law of Moses) which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth (Christ’s fulfillment of it) is glorious. [12] Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: [13] And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: [14] But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. [15] But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. 16] Nevertheless WHEN it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
The vail will be taken away in the Negev Wilderness in the Tribulation Period and the remnant of Israel will be grafted back into its own olive tree
Romans 11:9-12,23,24 –And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: [10] Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. [11] I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. [12] Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? [23] And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. [24] For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?
Many will be saved during the Tribulation Period as indicated in Joel and the book of Acts.
Joel 2:30-32 – And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. [31] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come. [32] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.
Acts 2:19-21 – And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: [20] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: [21] And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Luke 21:25-28 – And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. [27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [28] And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
The Tribulation Period is drawing nigh, and many do not believe it!
Joel 3:14-18 – Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision. [15] The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. [16] The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel. [17] So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more. [18] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the Lord, and shall water the valley of Shittim.
Ezekiel 47:2 – Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

Acts 4:12 – Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 20:20,21 – And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, [21] Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:17,13 – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Tectonic Chaos – Chapter 7 – The Day of Living Waters
Zechariah 14:8,9 – And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. [9] And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
In order to define the time of “in that day” given in verse 8, we must go to verse 9. Verse 9 clearly identifies “in that day” as the time when the Messiah will be king over all the earth – A period of time known as the Millennial Reign of Christ. However, in order for Jerusalem and Israel to come to be as verse 8 describes, it is obvious that fantastic geological changes must occur in the existing topographical structure, and these drastic geological land mass shifts will occur during the last three and one-half years prior to the final battle of Armageddon.
What are the “living waters?” They are spring waters that will support aquatic life continuously because they never cease to flow. We are told in verse 8 this “living water” will flow out of Jerusalem, and that part of it will flow into the Dead Sea, the Eastern Sea (Former Sea), while part of it will flow into the Mediterranean Sea (Hinder Sea). Furthermore, we are informed the water will be a continual stream that does not dry up between the two rainy seasons (most of the interior streams in Israel are dry creek beds a large part of the year). To the Oriental mind, “in summer and in winter shall it be,” means a perpetual flow of water that will support life year round.
