a Future Jihad Trap!

I have waited a long time for a fake attitude change among the terrorist groups inside and surrounding Israel, one which would eventually lead Israel down a garden path to believe she had finally attained a condition in which a mindset of “peace and safety” could be realized.
I Thessalonians 5:3,4 – For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
[4] But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Quite frankly, over the last five years, I have seen glimmers of hope, from time to time, which gave rise to my believing “this might be the light at the end of the tunnel,” only to be disappointed by another action on the part of the terrorists to extinguish the light. However, I must say that the three articles and excerpts, which follow, one from UK Times, and two from the Jerusalem Post, are by far the most encouraging development I have seen toward leading to fulfillment of the false peace in I Thessalonians 5:3,4. So, I am holding my breath, hoping the many terrorist groups around Israel, and their masters in Iran and Syria, have finally learned the only way they can defeat Israel is to lull them into a false sense of security. Such a situation would make it easier for the Hizbollah in the north, and Hamas, Fatah, Islamic Jihad, al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades in the south, and other terrorist groups in Damascus, to enter into a “hudna,” during which they could build up their military might to launch a 10 nation Arab Jihad against Israel.
A “hudna” would allow the terrorist groups around Israel to be stocked to the brim with weapons, which would reach a level such that a Jihad could be launched against Israel at some point in time between 2008 and 2012.

Report: Hizbullah dismantles 14 posts near Shaba Farms
JPost.com Staff, THE JERUSALEM POST
August 28, 2006
Hizbullah has dismantled 14 posts on the Israel-Lebanon border near the Shaba Farms, Lebanese security sources reported on Monday.
Eyewitnesses said that bulldozers were used to flatten the bases in the Arkov area and block access to tunnels
and bunkers.
A French news agency reported that the group evacuated the posts using trucks to carry artillery shells, missiles, other weapons and military equipment northward, while other Hizbullah vehicles laden with generators and furniture made their way out of the region.
According to the Lebanese newspaper A-Saphir, the Lebanese army had deployed troops along the border with Syria, and soldiers had blocked routes used by weapons smugglers.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese government demanded from Palestinians in refugee camps in the Litani area to disarm in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701, senior Fatah operative in Lebanon, Monir Al-Makdah, said on Monday morning.
Reportedly, Lebanese Prime Minister Faud Saniora made the request to Fatah representative in Lebanon Abbas Za’aki.
Al-Makdah rejected the demand in an interview with Jordanian newspaper Al-Dostur, saying that
the Security Council resolution was illegal since it did not include the right of return for Palestinian refugees.

Hizballah Leader’s “Regret” – Has Israel Regained Its Deterrence?
(Times-UK)
August 28, 2006
Hizballah leader Hassan Nasrallah told Lebanese television Sunday:
“We did not think, even 1 percent, that the capture [of the two Israeli soldiers] would lead to a war at this time and of this magnitude. You ask me, if I had known on July 11…that the operation would lead to such a war, would I do it? I say no, absolutely not.”

Israel, PA consider int’l force at Karni
Yaakov Katz and JPost Staff, THE JERUSALEM POST
August 28, 2006
Israel and the Palestinian Authority are deliberating over an international observer’s force that may be stationed at the Gaza Strip’s Karni Crossing, it was reported on Monday.
The plan for 90 peacekeepers to deploy at Karni was presented to Defense Minister Amir Peretz and PA government officials by US Security Coordinator in the West Bank and Gaza, Maj.
Gen. Keith Dayton, on Friday.
Gen. Dayton suggested widening both sides of the crossing and implementing a buffer zone, which would assist in the transfer of cargo between the Gaza Strip and Israel.
Dayton claimed that the go-between-zone would require monitoring by an international force, suggesting an observers force be set up to include 90 peacekeepers.
Palestinian officials said that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas had approved the proposal.
Israel has agreed to the plan in principle, but declined to take any further steps until Hamas returned kidnapped soldier Cpl.
Gilad Shalit and ensured Palestinian terrorists halt the firing of rockets into southern Israel from the Gaza Strip.

So why do Muslims at times declare a “hudna?” How does it help them?
According to Umdat as-Salik, a medieval summary of Shafi’I jurisprudence, a “hudna” with a non-Muslim enemy should be limited to 10 years: “if Muslims are weak, a truce may be made for 10 years if necessary, for the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) made a hudna with the Quraysh for that long, as is related by Abu Dawud” (‘Umdat as-Salik, 09.16). What happened during that hudna is burned into the minds of Islamic terrorists as a historical pattern to follow. The Prophet Mohammad did strike a 10 year hudna with the Quraysh tribe that controlled Mecca in the seventh century. But he used the first two years of hudna to rearm and refurbish his army, and then used a minor infraction to break the hudna and launch the attack that made a full conquest of Mecca, the holiest city of Islam.
When Yassar Arafat infamously invoked Mohammad’s “hudna” in 1994 to describe his own Oslo program of deceit “on the road to Jerusalem,” the implication was clear to his Islamic brethren.
Middle East expert Daniel Pipes explained it this way: “when his circumstances change for the better, he will take advantage of some technicality to tear up the existing accords and launch a military assault on Israel.” And, indeed, this is what he did when Ariel Sharon visited the Temple Mount. He used it as an excuse to launch the current intifada on Jewish citizens in September 2000.
As for Hamas, they have proven time and time again their commitment to a “tactical hudna,” which allows them time to replenish their strength during the hudna period. Incidentally, the root meaning of the Arabic word “hudna” simply means “quiet” or “calm.” Hamas and the other terrorist groups will take advantage of the “calm’ period to rebuild their infrastructures and to recruit and place their men and women in advantageous positions for future attacks.
We are headed for false peace between the Palestinians and Israel. But, according to the character and practices of Islam, regardless of how it eventually arrives, it will be broken as soon as the Palestinians recover from their five year grinding to powder by the Israeli military. And it is certainly important to know that, according to the Scripture, it must be a false peace of relatively short duration, and will be followed by a most vicious attack against Israel. The attack will internally come from inside Israel out of a newly created Palestinian state, and externally from outside Israel’s borders by nine other Islamic nations.
Regardless of the factors involved, and the terms used by both sides in this long struggle between Israel and her Islamic enemies within and without, such as hudna, intifada, unilateral, two things are certain – one, Israel will finally achieve a mindset of “Peace and safety,” and two, the Islamic nations will have made the peace with an evil thought, knowing they will proceed against the Israeli population that has enclosed the Palestinians by a wall, but left their own cities outside this wall in a condition of having no walls facing the rest of the world of Islam.
Ezekiel 38:10-12 – Thus saith the Lord God; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think AN EVIL THOUGHT: [11] And thou shalt say, I will go up to the LAND OF UNWALLED villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that DWELL SAFELY, all of them dwelling WITHOUT WALLS, and having neither bars nor gates, [12] To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and UPON THE PEOPLE THAT ARE GATHERED OUT OF THE NATIONS, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. Zechariah 14:2 – For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
