AUGUST 22 – MYSTERY DATE OF ISLAM!

I have received all sorts of questions and comments on the latest puzzle running amuck through the prophetic beehive, namely, the 22nd day in August. Some sort of announcement and/or action is hinted as bursting forth on that particular date out of Iran. All I can advise you to do is what I am doing – wait and see if it happens.
However, I can tell you this is a very special historical date for Islam, in that a notable act of religious significance was traditionally performed by the Prophet Muhammad in religious teachings. The two Archive Prophecy Update Numbers 14 and 82B, which follow, give the setting for the religious act that is currently being associated with August 22nd by many of today’s prophetic buffs.
This year, August 22nd corresponds, in the Islamic calendar, to the 27th day of the month of Rajab of the year 1427. According to tradition, this is the night when many Muslims celebrate the night flight of the prophet Muhammad on the winged horse Buraq. He first flew to “the farthest mosque,” usually identified as Jerusalem, and then to heaven and back, according to the Koran.
I do not believe August 22nd is the beginning of the tribulation period, or the Battle of Armageddon, or the end of the world, or the beginning of worldwide tectonic chaos. It might be the date Iran’s Dr. Strangelove has chosen to make some importance announcement as to Iran having developed some significant phase in its acquisition of a nuclear bomb. I do not expect a nuclear warhead swishing through the air toward Israel on August 22nd, nor do I expect the rapture to occur, however, I would be very happy to be wrong about the latter. Whatever the case, you will find the significance of the date historically in the Muslim calendar by reading the 2001 and 2002 Prophecy Updates from our Archives, which follow.
PROPHECY UPDATE 14

In order to understand why the only type of peace that can occur in Israel must be both false and temporary, one must comprehend the religious promises made to the Islamic martyr in the Koran. Genuine peace can only be bought to Israel at the return of her true Messiah.
The Koran is not a lengthy book. It can be read by the average
reader in about 18 hours. It is unquestioningly accepted by Muslims to be the infallible word of Allah, as revealed to Mohammed by the Angel Gabriel, some 1400 years ago. Muslims believe it is a transcript of a tablet that is preserved in heaven.
It is divided into numerous short sections. In the section titled “The Night Journey,” it teaches that Israel has already been scourged twice by the Assyrians and Romans, and that if they again transgress against Allah, they will once again be scourged by a third army, supposedly Islamic. This would be the Jihad (Holy War) sought by Iraq and Iran, and all the Islamic terrorist groups. Under “The Chambers,” in the Koran, true believers are identified as those who are willing to fight for the cause of Allah. It is written as follows: “The true believers are those who have faith in Allah and His Apostle and never doubt; and who fight for His cause with their wealth and persons.
Such are those whose faith is true.” In the Koran, under “Ornaments of Gold,” this is the promise to the faithful and all martyrs of the Islamic faith: “But you, My servants, who have believed in my revelations, and surrendered yourselves, shall on that day have nothing to fear, or to regret. Enter Paradise, you and your spouses, in all delight.
You shall be served with golden dishes and gold cups.
Abiding there forever, you shall find all that your souls desire and all that your eyes rejoice in.” The members of the terrorist groups believe this promise of Allah in the Koran, and are more than willing to die in the fight for Allah’s cause. This is the basic belief of most Muslims, so the terrorist groups are not having a problem in getting numerous volunteers to die for Allah in suicide bombings. In fact, there is a backlog waiting to die in Allah’s cause, and many grow weary in waiting their turn to secure the eternal blessings of Allah.
It does not matter what you believe about these promises, it only matters what they believe!
The only way the terrorist groups can be satisfied by their homeland leaders, is to be assured if they hold off their activities for a brief period of time, then a Jihad can successfully be launched against peaceful Israel as a surprise attack.
Those dying in this Great Jihad, as the martyrs of Allah, would be ushered eternally into the presence of Allah. The key to peace in Israel rests with the terrorist groups. When they can be assured the end result of their ceasing their activities will be the killing of millions of Jews, and a retaking of their land, they will limit their attacks, and await the promised Jihad. So WATCH the terrorist groups. When they finally decrease their activities, peace will come for a brief period, and will be ended with the sudden launching of a Jihad from Syria.

THE NIGHT JOURNEY FROM THE KORAN
The following verses from the Koran, from the section titled “The Night Journey,” may well give a preview of a prophecy that the Islamic nations feel they must fulfill.
IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE COMPASSIONATE, THE MERCIFUL
Verses 17:1 to 8 and 16
Glory be to Him (Allah) who made His servant (Mohammed) go by night from the Sacred Temple (at Mecca) to the farther Temple (Dome of the Rock and the Al Aksa Mosque) whose surroundings (Jerusalem Temple Mount) We have blessed, that We might show him some of Our signs.
He alone hears all and observes all.
We gave Moses the Scriptures and made them a guide for the Israelites, saying: “Take no other guardian than Myself. You are the descendants of those whom We carried in
the Ark with Noah. He was a truly thankful servant.”
In the Scriptures We solemnly declared to the Israelites: “Twice you shall commit evil in the land.
You shall become great transgressors.”
And when the prophecy of your first transgression came to be fulfilled, We sent against you a formidable army (Babylonian army of Daniel’s day), which ravaged your land and carried out the punishment with which you had been threatened (Babylonian captivity).
Then we granted you victory over them (Medo-Persian invasion which led to Israel’s return to their homeland) and multiplied your riches and your descendants, so that once again you became a numerous people. We said: “If you do good, it shall be to your own advantage; but if you do evil, you shall sin against your own souls.”
And when the prophecy of your second transgression came to be fulfilled
We sent another army (Roman Army of Titus in 70 A.D.) to afflict you and to enter the Temple as the former (Babylonian) entered it before (about 587 B.C.), utterly destroying all that they laid their hands on.
We said: “Allah may yet be merciful to you. If you again transgress,
you shall again be scourged.
We have made Hell a prison-house for the unbelievers.”
When we resolve to annihilate a people, We first warn those of them that live in comfort.
If they persist in sin, We rightly pass Our judgment and utterly destroy them.
Mohammed wrote the Koran more than 500 years after the invasion of the Roman prince Titus and the second destruction of the Jerusalem Temple.
So this third warning in the Koran could be used as scriptural justification for the coming Jihad scourging by the antichrist and 10 Islamic nations against Israel.
The last quoted verse from the Koran in the previous paragraph, sounds somewhat like Daniel 11:44.
Daniel 11:44 – But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. (Please Read Prophecy Update 74 in our Archives)
