The following brief article from the New York Times brought back to my recollection a Blog we issued on March 23, 2006. I could not agree more with Russian President Putin’s statement in the article by Sonia Kishkovsky, warning that the conflict between Christianity and Islam has led to the point where “The world is practically being forced into a conflict of civilizations.” I suspect God may have a lot to do with this “forcing” that will lead to the final conflict.
Revelation 17:17 – For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

Russia: Putin Warns of Christian-Islam Conflict

Christians, Jews, Muslims and Buddhists from several dozen countries including Iran, Israel and the United States have gathered for the World Summit of Religious Leaders, which opened in Moscow. Addressing the opening ceremony, President Vladimir V. Putin warned of the dangers of a standoff between Christianity and Islam and said, “The world is practically being forced into a conflict of civilizations.” He told the leaders he would report on the results of the summit meeting to the Group of 8 leading industrial nations, which meets in St. Petersburg this month, with Russia holding its presidency.

The Spirit of Antichrist versus the Spirit of Christ – As Simple as That!

This war against terrorists is not a war like any the free world has ever fought before. It is a war between the spirit of antichrist and the Spirit of Christ, one in which even some moderate followers of antichrist feel justified in chopping off a man’s head if he converts from Islam to any belief other than Islam. This conflict can only be settled by the second coning of Christ, who is the only one that can close out the greatest of all conflicts at the battle of Armageddon.
This is a spiritu
al war where two opposite beliefs are using and driving physical mankind to a Middle East war, which I believe is likely to begin at some point between 2008 and 2012. This war is not going to end until it culminates at the battle of Armageddon some three and one-half years after it begins.
The article which follows is the code of Islam concerning what is to be done to a man who converts from Islam to another belief, and please note that Islamic Cleric Abdul Raoulf, considered a “moderate,” cries out for Abdul Rahman’s head to be chopped off. The following article, by the Associated Press, came from THE JERUSALEM POST.
I believe, because of international pressure, a way will be found to stop his execution by head chopping, but if there had not been international pressure, he would have been a “gone gossalin.” This man is not the first who was thought to be crazy because of his believe in Christ, nor was he the first to be imprisoned for his belief, nor will he be the last. The two witnesses have yet to die by the hand of the spirit of antichrist, personified in the flesh as the son of Satan, the antichrist himself.

Clerics want Christian Convert’s Death

Senior Muslim clerics said Thursday that an Afghan man on trial for converting from Islam to Christianity should be killed regardless of whether a court decides to free him.
Abdul Rahman, a 41-year-old former medical aid worker, faces the death penalty for becoming a Christian under Afghanistan’s Islamic laws. His trial, which began last week, has caused an international outcry.
US President George W. Bush said Wednesday he was “deeply troubled” by the case and expects the country to “honor the universal principle of freedom.”
Diplomats say the Afghan government is searching for a way to drop the case, and on Wednesday authorities said Rahman
is suspected of being mentally ill and would undergo psychological examinations to see whether he is fit to stand trial.
But four senior clerics interviewed by The Associated Press in their mosques in Kabul said Rahman deserved to be killed for his conversion.
“He is not crazy.
He went in front of the media and confessed to being a Christian,” said Hamidullah, chief cleric at Haji Yacob Mosque.
“The government is scared of the international community. But the people will kill him if he is freed.”
“He is not mad. The government is playing games.
The people will not be fooled,” said Abdul Raoulf, cleric at Herati Mosque. “This is humiliating for Islam. … Cut off his head.”
Raoulf is considered a moderate cleric in Afghanistan.
He was jailed three times for criticizing the Taliban’s policies before the hard-line regime was ousted by US-led forces in 2001.
