The following verses from the Koran, from the section titled “The Night Journey,” may well give a preview of a prophecy that the Islamic nations feel they must fulfill.

THE NIGHT JOURNEY
IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE COMPASSIONATE, THE MERCIFUL
Verses 17:1 to 8 and 16
Glory be to Him (Allah) who made His servant (Mohammed) go by night from the Sacred Temple (at Mecca) to the farther Temple (Dome of the Rock and the Al Aksa Mosque) whose surroundings (Jerusalem Temple Mount) We have blessed, that We might show him some of Our signs.
He alone hears all and observes all.
We gave Moses the Scriptures and made them a guide for the Israelites, saying: “Take no other guardian than Myself. You are the descendants of those whom We carried in the Ark with Noah. He was a truly thankful servant.”
In the Scriptures We solemnly declared to the Israelites: “Twice you shall commit evil in the land. You shall become great transgressors.”
And when the prophecy of your first transgression came to be fulfilled, We sent against you a formidable army, which ravaged your land and carried out the punishment with which you had been threatened.
Then we granted you victory over them and multiplied your riches and your descendants, so that once again you became a numerous people. We said: “If you do good, it shall be to your own advantage; but if you do evil, you shall sin against your own souls.”
And when the prophecy of your second transgression came to be fulfilled We sent another army to afflict you and to enter the Temple as the former entered it before, utterly destroying all that they laid their hands on.
We said: “Allah may yet be merciful to you. If you again transgress, you shall again be scourged.
We have made Hell a prison-house for the unbelievers.”
When we resolve to annihilate a people, We first warn those of them that live in comfort.
If they persist in sin, We rightly pass Our judgment and utterly destroy them.

Mohammed wrote the Koran more than 500 years after the invasion of the Roman prince Titus and the second destruction of the Jerusalem Temple. So this third warning in the Koran could be used as scriptural justification for the coming Jihad scourging by the antichrist and 10 Islamic nations against Israel. The last quoted verse from the Koran in the previous verse sounds somewhat like Daniel 11:44.
Daniel 11:44 – But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

The following are excerpts from a Friday sermon delivered in the Gaza Strip, which aired on Hamas’ Al-Aqsa TV on March 5, 2010
Hamas Sermon in Gaza: Rome Will Be Conquered by Islam
Preacher: “The prophecy of the conquest of Rome remains valid, Allah willing.
Just like Constantinople was conquered some 500 years ago, Rome too will be conquered.
“Our prayers, our fasting, and the charity we give will be to no avail, if we doubt the Prophet Muhammad. How can we proceed along the path of righteousness, if we are not secure in our belief that Rome will be conquered, as promised by the Prophet Muhammad and as proclaimed by Allah?”
(2) Former Jordanian Minister Ali Al-Faqir Vows to Conquer Spain and Rome, Declares: America, EU Will Soon Come to an End – May 2, 2008
Sheikh Ali Al-Faqir: “We must declare that Palestine, from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea, is an Islamic land, and that Spain – Andalusia – is also the land of Islam. Islamic lands that were occupied by the enemies will once again become
Islamic. Furthermore, we will reach beyond these countries, which are lost at one point. We proclaim that we will conquer Rome, like Constantinople was conquered once, and as it will be conquered again.”
Interviewer: “Allah willing.”
Sheik Ali Al-Faqir: “We will rule the world, as has been said by the Prophet Muhammad.

“We will face a battlefront that is broader and stronger.
Its beginnings were in Palestine, in Iraq, in Afghanistan, and in Chechnya. What has begun will be completed.
It will not stop.
[…]
“The Zionist entity reached completion, and it is beginning to decline, until it will wane and come to its end. Similarly, America has occupied, thundered, and foamed with rage, and proclaimed, like Pharaoh, ‘I am your supreme God,’ but it will come to its end, and they have begun to realize that their end is near. We have begun to read in American and European newspapers that ‘our glory is on the wane, and there is nothing we can do about it.’ This morning on Al-Jazeera TV, I saw American scientists and strategic theoreticians, who said that America would soon come to its end.
They said it before about the USSR, and, indeed, it has come to its end, and we say now that America and the EU will come to an end, and only the rising force of Islam will prevail.”
(3) Hamas MP and Cleric Yunis Al-Astal in Friday Sermon: We Will Conquer Rome – And From There, Continue On to Conquer the Two Americas, Eastern Europe – April 11, 2008
Yunis Al-Astal: “Allah has chosen you for Himself and for His religion, so that you will serve as the engine pulling this nation to the phase of succession, security, and consolidation of power, and even to conquests thorough da’wa and military conquests of the capitals of the entire world. Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our Prophet Muhammad. Today, Rome is the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital, which has declared its hostility to Islam, and has planted the brothers of apes and pigs in Palestine in order to prevent the reawakening of Islam – this capital of theirs will be an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas, and even Eastern Europe.”
“I believe that our children or our grandchildren will inherit our Jihad and our sacrifices, and Allah willing, the commanders of the conquest will come from among them.
Today, we instill these good tidings in their souls, and by means of the mosques and the Koran books, and the history of our Prophets, his companions, and the great leaders, we prepare them for the mission of saving humanity from the hellfire on the brink of which they stand.”
